no amount of criticism could ever make me hate the kenobi series. seeing obi-wan be so broken down and defeated felt so real. he was this incredible jedi, a warrior. he was such a believer in the jedi code and the order was entire life. to watch him become a hermit, to hesitate to help people in need, to be afraid, broke my heart.

i bet he never thought there'd be a day when his saber felt unfamiliar in his hands. a day when his body didn't carry him through a fight like a dance. a day when connecting with the force didn't come to him as easy as breathing.

i just love the stark difference between obi-wan kenobi and ben. I love how his depression and ptsd was handled. I love love love the kenobi series so much.

I am still having some issues grasping her personality. I think it will come more easily once I write the game. I think because she feels like a combination of sets that I tend to keep separate. I think the closest are Kendis and Lala; except Lala is more adventerous yet steady, while Kendis concerns themselves more - than they like to admit - what their loved ones think. She reminds me actually a lot of an oc I have - but never played - Lam Sommers but Hayden is more positive and optimistic and ... brighter [not in intelligence but energy. Lam is more disenterest toad, Hayden is more excited raccoon. Both gremlins but different. I am obsessed about not having my ocs souund the same, even tho -- as you can see I have familiar trends we3rewq[

I got a pin of a curly haired woman with a camera and I've been lowkey fixated. But I don't think photography is for Hayden. I think she likes to be a part of it too much. I think I've mentioned but Hayden is trans? She is a masc!trans woman. She has been through some stages- and struggles - with her life; trying to find a voice to what she is. She didn't always immediately know how to speak her truth but always knew something was off, but she's always been as authentically and openly herself with the language she did have.

I think I've mentioned that Hayden went for Law at stanford and she has always been sport. She was in wrestling when she was younger and football. Yes, I know her pb is thinish but PRETEND OKAY! PRETEND THERE ARE MUSCLES! Plus I wanted a black mc and Indya has these silly photoshoots that can fit Hayden's goofyness.

I am so excited for Hayden and Jean and Kai [tho I am still debating making it Hayden and Jade and m!Kai]. Because Hayden -- it isn't that she doesn't have her issues or ghosts or struggles, but not to be a cliche ... her past really has forged her. ok so i love the idea of media clinging onto tangible evidence hayden knew you as a kid. but i desperately need to hone in on and talk about the pool scene..

can you imagine how nervous you were in you heard your dad was inviting hayden over? ofc ewan has a pool at this location, and he's close with hayden. its natural to hang out. being insecure over being close in proximity with hayden again, second guessing everything you do or say. the mortifying ordeal of being perceived by your crush when youre young is a terrifying experience. but as soon as hayden coaxes you out of your own shell— like he often does— having fun is a lot easier. he tires you out, he loves hanging out with kids because he knows whats fun. he's very boyish in the sense he likes the same things kids do. video games, rough housing, skateboards and sports.

he throws you into the pool, teaches you how to step onto his clasped hands so he can launch you into the deep end, and you have those high pressure water guns which you obviously use against each other.

at one point he scoops you up when he falls into the pool, bringing you with. he has to knock water from your throat when you take in too much, patting your back harsh with his big hand, soothing it over and telling you he's sorry for dunking you. that was insanely embarrassing, but somehow worth it because of how nice he was to you after. your skin hot from the sun and your eyes blurry from chlorine.. its no wonder you knock the fuck out. you clung onto him in the pool while he apologized for hurting you earlier, and you fall asleep with your cheek on his shoulder. and he lays out on the long beach chair, checking his phone while you softly snore. when ewan comes back out, offering to take you, hayden says no because you just got to sleep and he doesn't wanna disturb you.

so because of that she really admires how much you pay attention to other subjects and can draw them so well

You'd both be laughing and talking about events in the town all the while scribbling and popping little cubes of cheese or bread into your mouths

At least in terms of drawing (he's def the type to draw stick figures and stick-animals even when giving his best effort)

The best thing Hayden can draw is a little crude drawing of his most prized possession (second to you of course), Henrietta

HOWEVER this will not stop him from drawing or doing other artistic things with you!

Like I bet he's decent at whittling away at wood and giving you little wood-carven trinkets

One day when you were at his ranch watching him herd his animals you whipped out your sketchbook to do figure studies

and lets be honest Hayden has a great figure to study

Mainly in sketching concept work for furniture but I can easily see him enjoying drawing other subjects as well, especially to relax and not think of work

Especially after the two of you started dating, he began to dabble in taking his art more seriously

He really admires your skills and it motivates him to get better too

Whenever you're together and you're drawing, he def watches your face

He can't help himself! Your face getting all screwed up with concentration is adorable to him

There have been times where you leave your sketchbook out in the open of the workshop and he'll take a peak at it

He knows that its a breach of privacy but he hoped you wouldn't mind since you both are close and trust one another

You sketch a variety of different things, like landscapes and portraits of your animals

But he pauses when he flips to a page that consists entirely of portraits of himself

Juniper can be vain and unable to see things from different angles at times but after you both started a romantic relationship you opened a lot of things up to her

She likened your passions and focus in drawing to her potion crafting

But after you explained to her that you do this for yourself she backed off

What was your favorite character traits about Rachel Amber?

Hey! Happy to see you and boy what a great question, thank you! Loaded answer ahead; TLDR, see the good in Rachel Amber.

Rachel's many things. Pretty, hot, charming, stylish, not to mention her lovely voice, these physical traits are already a great start for many. Then you have functional traits-- ambidextrous (can I just say that's hella cool, omg I want that too), social genius/people skills, straight As student, drama queen, masked with a layer of mystery, many people would've already fallen for her, in-game and out, me being one of them when I first got to know her as a character (so pretty much those were my fav traits of her).

But if we strip her physical beauty down and shove aside her fascinating skillset, who is she really? We may never know 100%, but some character traits can still be found.

Here are some of my favourite (&underrated) Yangs to Rachel Amber's sides. aka why Rachel Amber should get more love & less hate from the fandom

Ofc there are exceptions, but those are not relevant in this post; assumptions & headcannons are added

1. A good heart

Kindness to me will always be one of the most important character traits to have for anyone. With all that powerhouse of a Rachel Amber can accomplish, she chooses to use them with kindness.

With her social skills she chooses to lift people up, saving Hayden from a quickly-escalating scolding from Mr Keaton in ep 1, asking Chloe in a nuanced way if she's "taking (getting kicked outta Blackwell) this a little too well", kinda guiding her independent thinking rather than directly telling her what's right or wrong. (There'd be constructive criticism between Chloe & Rachel, which I stan in a relationship/friendship.)

With her intelligence she tutors Justin & helped him improve his algebra from an F to a C I believe? That's pretty impressive, ngl

with her ambidexterity.. idk, she makes Chloe happy :> (yes i'm totally referring to doing graffiti with her left hand on Chloe's insistence *cough*)

This is why I'm inclined to believe that tornado was not Rachel's revenge. She'd never choose to put Chloe, her parents, her friends, at risk; if she wanted revenge she could've killed the men w her powers. Sure you can say some of these might be her trying to live up to her DA father / principal assistant's duties, but at least she chose to do them. She could very well be a kid who doesn't give a damn or fluff through some of these things that requires time & effort.

2. Sees the good in others!

One of the most underrated Rachel Amber traits imo. This girl literally has a reputation of "her friends are her friends", and does not discriminate in terms of friendship/who she hangs out with. She picked Chloe up from her lowest (saw her & praised her for backtalking the biker, defending Nathan, & "you're more of a hero than you think you realise", when Chloe didn't take Drew's money). Rachel stuck with Chloe when no one else did (puts up with her sh*t, which ofc Chloe does the same), literally chose Chloe to share her uncertain future outside Arcadia, did not take her chance to leave when she could in those 3 years, most likely cuz she wanted to leave with Chlo. She also hung out with Nathan (& Chloe when so many wouldn't), saw the good in Frank (yes. same as Nathan & Chloe his reputation is far from great and despite the unhealthiness of this relationship, she at the very least cared for the guy, & saw the humanity inside him), & very sadly fell for the portrayed "gone through some serious shit" act by Jeffers*n, all these showing her being an empathetic & sympathetic person.

I'll add non-judgemental as well, cuz it's why she's able to get along with so many people so well. Like what her VA Kylie Brown says in an interview, whoever you are, Rachel'd be like "hey you're a pretty cool person, let's talk!" It's inspiring. I love that about her. Gotta have more Rachels in the world.

3. Ambitious. Puts in the hard work. Persistent.

"One day, I'm gonna climb Mt Everst." says a 15 year old Rachel in Bts, who has posters of travelling in Asia (the green poster has Chinese words saying "go travel in China", amongst others), already speaks about her courage & ambition. And of course, leaving Arcadia with no one but Chloe for a better life. Yes you can say it's reckless, because it's a big idea for a teenager, but she didn't just give up on it. It stuck with her, and she worked hard for it. Doing photoshoots to get modelling jobs, maintaining her 4.0 GPA, finding opportunities to leave... she did those for 5 years. And in the comics universe, they made it out! Now they're over 22yos with an LA apartment, Rachel's in modelling gigs with her acting career kicking off... what could've been for game Rachel. (oh the things I'd do for Bts' ending to be Max appearing in the nick of time instead of that damn vibrating phone!) Also I wonder if in some universes, like the wheelchair Chloe one, a missing Rachel could mean she actually made it out without others knowing, instead of the darker end.

4. Caring & thoughtful & protective & passionate partner/friend/lover!

She listens to Chloe's problems (therapy session), she gives Chloe nice clothes to wear within the few days they'd met (what financially challenged Chloe needed, & in a way that wasn't awkward for Chloe), she sends post cards to Chloe while she's away (she thinks about her often), & "don't f****ing touch her". Passionate lover, I mean.. the way she kissed Chloe under that lamp (with high intimacy of course) is good enough an example. Chloe's the romantic one in my head. Rachel, the passionate.

So far these are the character traits I can think of, and your question helped draw out Rachel's positive sides that are too under-recognised. Thanks again! :)

okay hi it’s the abandon my diss anon but i rlly drafted this in my head as a night time delusion and i can’t not say it now ive broken through my fear of sending a message but-

we’re talking stephen glass hayden but ofc nerdy anakin (bc i couldn’t stand stephen! had to watch the film on three separate occasions he reminds me of too many ‘nice guys’ from my sixth form days n i cringed)

but you’re very friendly in the office and he constantly makes excuses to come over to your desk to borrow random pieces of stationary and won you over with his cute smiles, and after a couple of weeks your coworker friends have placed bets on how long it would take either of you to ask each other out, even though you planned on it before, it feels far too mean to do it knowing people have money on it.

he’s always sweet and respectful, (but also looking down your blouse when he gets a chance bc he’s just a man and you’re hot) and one day you’ve come in without underwear, not thinking anyone would notice because it’s a decent length skirt, obvs ani is a perv and whenever he’s ogling you he takes note of the outline of your underwear in your skirt, trying to imagine the colour/style when he’s bored at his own desk.

you’re sat at your desk scrolling through emails, when he comes over after realising you’re commando, your lower body pointing towards him in your chair whilst mindlessly chatting back towards him facing your computer, he asks to borrow a pen, standard procedure, but drops it and as he picks it up he makes sure to try and look between your legs, realising he was right, he gets hard quicker than he thought he would and excuses himself.

realising you weren’t paying much attention to the conversation, you fear you said something wrong (we KNOW what a manipulative guy he is [moreso stephen coded here], any time you break eye contact to glance at your computer in previous convos he accuses you of not listening to him in a jokey way - he just wanted to keep staring at your face so that he can perfectly remember your hairstyle and makeup so when he goes home that night his wank has an up to date fantasy)

you follow after him towards a hallway of file rooms, getting closer to where he is you can hear him whimpering and making small breathy sounds, you slowly open the door to not burst in on him potentially crying but instead you see him with his head leant back, chest heaving whilst he strokes himself, with the door open you hear him saying your name under his breath. feeling a little like you completely invaded his privacy (mostly horny though) you gently let the door close and walk back through the corridor, before you hear him gently say your name a lot louder than you were expecting, turning around you see him stood there with a panicked expression, you walk over to apologise profusely and to explain why you even walked over in the first place but he interrupts you by asking if you heard anything, when you lowly answer that you did, he pulls you into the room he was previously in, expecting him to start apologising and panicking but instead he lowers himself onto his knees staring at you with those eyes

UPDATE: Decided to fix my issues with the Montero siblings, I didn't like their designs fully. I also added Basil to this post given he's closely tied to our Lesbian cat-witch duo and is often hanging around them. (They have more outfits too ofc, these are just the ones they tend to wear a lot)

The bow in Irina's cardigan serves as the top button as well, and sometimes she wears it with only that button closed.

Her cardigan mimics her actual sorceress robes and is custom made.

She can transform her umbrella into a blade or a whip, and use it as a shield or float with it. or just to smack when her kitty is being mischievous

she has a yellow sleeveless top and black leggings under her cardigan and boots; She mostly dresses more modern, but does have more traditional outfits too she might put on occasionally.

Irina was adopted by a Winter Warlock (whose patron is Jack Frost) called Marcus Vasile, when she was a toddler. She was abandoned there by her family who didn't know what to do with her magic powers

Marcus is a Romanian noble, or has noble heritage to be exact, though he's mostly seen as an eccentric rich hermit, or was before he got himself a daughter. (His family does originate from the mirror realm - also known as Ether, where all magic on earth comes from)

Reina is from a special werecat family that are also known as Stormbringers, as each member has an elemental power somehow connecting to storms. Reina's is wind element.

Reina is close with her older brother Basil, whose element is lightning; they bicker and fight a lot (Loudly, typically in Spanish), but make for a badass fighter team once they work together.

Same can be said about Reina and Irina, although they don't actually physically fight, just bicker a lot.

Reina is a hotheaded goofball, whereas her brother is more of a chill asshole; both ultimately mean well most of the time though.

Basil is Bisexual, he later develops a thing to Marcus' acquaintance's pupil, Hayden Faylune.

sorry u got my mind spinning w that. like hayden to me is just a wholesome sweet little old man, but imagine him getting a controversially young gf who is just utterly shameless & depraved (so like everyone who follows ur blog ofc) who ends up corrupting him w all the freaky shit she’s into & unlocking a bunch of stuff he’s actually into that he never would have given a thought to before

bcos he really is a wholesome sweet old man. there's a quote by him i think about a lot where he'd said something along the lines of how "promiscuity does not hold a strong place in his life" so it makes me think of how he prolly doesnt care about fucking a lot, and he doesnt rly care about the different shades of it either. so meeting you, his little spitfire, you want him to do all these things that hes never done before, and he's so eager to please you he does them. you think he's ever choked someone before? no way, but he does it to you because he knows you like it. he lets you call him dad. he fucks you doggy style when he degrades you calling you every name in the book. all because you asked him to :) there are things you help him discover, one thing being how much he likes being a giver. sure there are lines he wont cross, but he cant think of them right now. he's too busy getting off to how happy he makes you in the sack

Hayden is warm and welcoming with anyone, and his conversationalist skills wouldn't falter no matter the person

When you first meet him, I can see him being curious about your muteness, but that's just because you're being compared to one of if not the loudest person in town

once you're friends and you wish to tell him why you are/became mute he will listen with intensity

He finds your dynamic fun, and he enjoyed interacting with someone in a new way. Being a rancher, he had to learn how to interact with different critters in the first place, so learning to interact with a cute mute newcomer was a lovely experience for him

I also think that since he works on a ranch, I could see him already using hand gestures for little guys such as working dogs

And if you do use some sort of hand language to communicate, he is 100% on board with learning it

I think it would start off with some simple gestures that the two of you could use while working (he definitely helps you ranch and farm that's his love language!)

but eventually he gets to the point that he would want to understand even more complex conversations with you

I also think that this is the point that he would develop feelings for you

if the manor doesn't have a book in it's library explaining new signs he would order one from the capital in secret

he would spends weeks if not months learning it for you and he would become giddy just thinking about your reaction

Until one day he asks you out in sign🥲

Since day one of your new romantic relationship you both are iconic

He doesn't mind the silence during working hours, and he loves that you both can communicate to one another without words

He finds it very intimate to be able to express how much he loves you without opening his mouth once, and that you can do the same (but he will tell you how much he loves you with his mouth too, but be prepared because he will go on for a loooong time)

2. Favorite canon thing about this character? (brb trying to remember what is canon and what is fanon) hm, yes, quite! scott: uhhhh, I like his fashion sense? (dammit, why wasn't he in the movie for longer so we would've known more canon stuff about him--) but also, I love that scott is pretty much just the very definition of a slimy corporate guy; a cowardly one at that (but when working with jack, who wouldn't be walking on eggshells?). I like that he's not JUST slimy and smug though, but that he's very clearly afraid of jack (even before jack sent the warbeast on him). despite him not being alive for long in the movie, I rly like that they gave scott that little human element, instead of having him just end up as a charicature of "bad big corp guy". make no mistake, he's not a good guy, but we can understand why he's afraid, and that goes a long way! jack: I RLY like the whole ~aesthetic~ he's got going on. yeah ik this movie is from the 90s so ofc there would be old tech they used in the making of it, BUT STILL, I love chunky old tech stuff so much. plus, jack's lair speaks to me on a personal level too, because it reminds me of the media workshop my dad worked in when he was a media teacher back in the day. just-- a medium-sized room full of TVs and computers (early 2000's apple computers, amirite?), video tapes and stuff from the students, mmm YES!! I loved hanging out there as a kid👌😩 oh right, and I also like jack's silliness of course! very yandere of him

11. Would you date this character? as much as I think both jack and scott are good-looking-- no to both of 'em 😂 (I don't need that stress in my life mmk)

What's a headcanon you have for this character? scott: I hc him as gay (kinda closeted though cause "ew it's no one else's business"). and ofc there's this thing that we've long accepted as fanon in this tiny fandom, and that is that scott would totally come into john's office to rant about anything and everything (john fuckin hates when he does this, ofc) jack: hmm, well, sexuality-headcanons are a good place to start, right? so-- I pm think of him as bi. more straight-leaning, as we can clearly tell in the movie, but hey, if there's a decent looking guy around, I'm sure he'd have no problem creeping on said guy either. in fact, I hc that, when scott was new at CHAANK, he was the target of jack's..... "attention". then when hayden came along, jack found her more interesting and pm moved on to her (still didn't stop him from being creepy to scott and several others though... jack pls)
