so i went to a fire show last night (like, performers who danced with fire) with some friends, and it got me thinking. so here are my

rtc fire headcanons

(ps this is longer than i thought itd be, be warned)

mischa is deathly afraid of fire

he has no idea why he just is

controlled flames, naked flames, matches, stoves, anything

this guy wont go within five feet of a candle

and only noel and ricky know because 'its not ganster to be scared of fire guys'

ricky knows because one time it was his birthday and everyone was sitting at his kitchen table for cake and mischa was sitting across from him

and ricky blew out the candles and, naturally, they leaned away from him as they went out

aka right in mischas face

homeboy was out of that chair like lightning

he played it off as getting cutlery and plates and stuff but ricky asked about it

noel knows because they were in mischas basement one time and he brought a candle (candle obsessed noel>>) and tried to light it

mischa was across the room

gone

my guy cant deal with them at all

he went to oceans house a total of one time and saw her parents incense sticks

he never went back

(ocean doesnt know why mischa avoids picking her place as a hang out spot but shes really grateful nonetheless)

moving on from mischa

noel is the opposite

everything is on fire at all times

he has candles everywhere in his room

he doesnt even need a main light at this point, the candles are everywhere

he has this one specially made candle that smells like striking a match/burning and he lights it all of the time

mischa is not a fan

she likes to touch it, which freaks mischa out

he cant go near it, its almost like she has to

even noel tries to stop her, so you know its bad

one year ricky gets her a fake candle for her birthday

the ones you put batteries in and the 'flame' lights up and moves about, like you have around Christmas

penny loves it because now she can touch it and have a candle

no one lets her have real candles

or lets her be in noels room

ricky likes smoke

he likes it because it distorts the air above it, yk? everythings all wavy and not entirely clear

it reminds him that what youre seeing might not be whats really there

ocean hates smoke and fire and everything related to it

firstly, she has asthma

secondly, she gets awful headaches from scented candles

thirdly, it reminds her of how much fire is involved in her parents lifestyle. the smoking, the incense

she cant escape it at home, why would she go out of her way to find it away from home?

shes not scared though

constance is relatively neutral about fire

its fun, she loves sparklers and candles and fireworks

but she doesnt like being burned and stuff

onto the fun stuff:

mischa hates them

hes worried that the performers will drop the props, that he'll get burned, that theres fire right there!!

him and ocean stay near the back of the group at shows, he pretends to just be making sure shes okay

usually she is but sometimes the asthma and stuff catches up with her

ricky is mesmerised

he will stare at the fire, the dancers, everything is amazing to him

noel loves the fire, but you know what he loves more??

the costumes

they tend to wear black, leather, tight fitting, revealing costumes

he is obsessed, he wishes he could have them

penny likes copying the dancers

imagine them doing loads of stretches, turns and twists

and theres penny, doing the same

she loves it, its fun

constance makes sure she doesnt wander out into the performance area so she doesnt get burned

constance does the dances too though

its just good times all around

(noel watches saw '5' with mischa afterwards to make up for it though, this guy was dying)

He does! He brags about Timmy's success to every person within the neighborhood's vicinity. Mr. Turner loves how successful his son is! It really secures his reputation at the neighborhood HOA meetings they host at their house.

Timmy's worked very hard to gain more successes than failures. The more successful he is, the greater his family's social standing!! And the less he gets to overhear his dad ranting to the neighborhood about his failures.

Thinking about the fact that in s1ep6 when Barry burns Rafe's arm, poor baby probably had to bandage himself up all by himself. It just makes me so sad for no reason because Rafe's always alone and he literally has zero support system. And, his hands were shaking when he attempted to steal from his dad's office and when Ward catches him, he doesn't even look concerned or notice the burnt arm of his son??? Something about that just makes me so mad and sad like wtf. Rafe needs a big hug, man. I soo wanna be his stress reliever, his balm that calms him and more. I am literally not normal about this man. Like imagine someone burning ur arm on a fucking motorbike and having no one to turn to but yourself :(
