Paradise Regained by John Milton is a sequel to Paradise Lost focused on Jesus' 40 days in the desert while Satan ties to tempt them into disobeying God, which doesn't work.

Vertin has been thrown into the Jesus/ Messianic imagery alot in this game so maybe this would be Arcana as Satan trying one more time to tempt Vertin but it doesnt Succeed.

Paradise "regained" could be a reference to FMN's line from launch "return to the past with the right order", so maybe this is in reference to the Manus wanting to make a Storm and revive Arcana.

Here's my two cents: who is Satan and who js Jesus in this scenario? The story is about preservance through hardship and succeeding, and specifically BP have chosen the sequel "Regained" over the first book "Lost". I would like to argue we already saw something similar to Paradise Lost not with an apple but an orange.

(This is just conjecture but yeah humour me: Vertin is tempted with knowledge back in Tender is the Night by Arcana, join Manus and get the answers you need, but this results in her "fall" with the reversal of Karson, Marian and Schnieder: Vertin spends the next patches to "redeem" herself, either saving others or stopping at nothing until the Manus is defeated.

So once again I think Arcana will tempt Vertin again, maybe this line Urd is on the line - maybe she succeeds here)

- Last two unknown, though one is speculated to be Arcana's ashes

Character Specific:

Arcana: Deffo shes getting revived I think, the teaser confirms this unless something else comes up.

Ulrich- the wild card here, likely his research into the space mission conducted by the 2.7 gang will lead him here, although I dont have an idea of what exactly he could be doing here. 2.7 was able to confirm that the Storm has even affected space to a degree.

Urd is drawn to Antractica, and Vertin and Sonetto are following her there - hopefully Vertin and Urd interact. In 2.6, for reference until it comes out in Global a large section of her story in the prison is untranslated and would be a pain to machine translate for me when its dropping roughly in a month or so. The only thing of note that I could understand from that section is that she is physically drawn to the location in Antractica, believing her answers and memories would be found in Antractica.

From the livestream teaser I want to speculate that either she has willingly joined the Manus in order to get the answers she wants, either Sophia, FMN or Ms Grace falsely promising her; the influence of Arcana somehow; or even the Zeno traitors under Igor taking her there.

My current predictions for Urd/ Dores:

Confirmation she is either Vertin's mom or relative

She, in some way is connected to the revival ritual and is vital to it

Potentially she prior to the Storm knows Arcana, maybe they working together or something

The chance this is the patch she dies in

She regains her memories, either the previous versions (Bessmert, Martha, the identities from London and Rayashki) or her original self pre-Storm

(Or this is the final boss of yuri divorce and the Storm is actually the result of a very messy breakup of a situationship with Arcana lmao)

Predictions for Sonetto and Vertin:

They do something (btw I don't like 2.6, god hope GL improves that by a bit)

Sonetto sacrifices herself for Vertin, either dies or its heavily injured (maybe parallels to their childhood would be cool)

Darcy is the smartest girl you know. and naturally as an Avenger you introduce her to Tony and safe to say he's very impressed with her and pats you on the back for finding such a brilliant girl. everyone likes Darcy too!! she makes you happy, she's hot, she's loyal, and mf is a Dr and an astrophysicist!! you always flaunt that. well when a big company asks the avengers to come work with them bc some sort of anomaly (think wandavision but no one's dead bc i said so) has accured and they need some brains and brawns. while tony and bruce alone were smarter than all of the companies scientists; they bit off more than they could chew. after a few weeks of all the scientists working at it, they only advance a bit. you go home and darcy comes over and you rant to her about it bc ur fed up. and suggest the idea of bringing her to help and she considers it. she spends the night so she might as well tag along and see what she can do. at first the companies big boss disregards her and even tries to push her away from the monitors. you grab his wrist "don't you touch her. and just so yk my girlfriend is smarter than all ur stupid scientists so i suggest you let her take a look so she can fix wtv ur men can't" Darcy is actually frozen to her spot bc that was so hot. the heat from her cheeks spread all the way down and she's at a loss for words. her face turns bright red and she nudges you too stop cutting the guys circulation off (she's well aware you'll break this guys arm for her). she thanks you and kisses ur cheek as she sits down. give her a few hours and BOOM. she's gotten to the bottom of the problem and has two possible ways to fix it, they both end up working. Darcy bugs about how much you brag about her. you give her a whole speech on why she's the greatest women ever as you hold her. she loves you with her whole heart and has never felt safer in her big bad avengers gfs arms.

Even though Maria is always incredibly busy with Shield, and you with the avengers, you always find time to be together. but being women of high power has never been easy. that being said, both of you get looked down on even after showing ur skill time and time again. so you arrive at headquarters looking for your bad ass gf, carrying with you a few treats so she doesn't forget to eat. as you make ur way towards everyone they seem to be doing their usual thing. you could spot her from a mile away away. she's the most beautiful women you've ever laid eyes on. you approach her. her eyes land on you and her face immediately lights up. she greats you with a tight hug, a kiss on the head and then the lips. she's gotten more comfortable with being affectionate at work, you notice. "uhm hi can i help you?" you ask politely. unbeknownst to you sharon's watching (she always is) and heading her way over to you. the guards are specifically told not to speak to you unless u speak to them. she's possessive what can you say. "i'm not sure you're on the list your gonna have to step out" he says roughly grabbing ur arm and tugging you off your stool. sharon is basically bolting at this point. "my girlfriends the owner of this place and is the reason you buy ur meals so get off of me" you say and push him back. he's about to tackle you bc yk ego. until he sees an arm snake around your waist. oh sh*t. "get the hell out my house" sharon says and he gets escorted out. you'll probably never hear from him again. sharon grabs your waist and pulls you impossibly close to her as she places her lips on yours. "that was so sexy baby" she says on ur lips. her stern demeanor almost broke when she heard you calling her your girlfriend so proudly. it made her knees want to buckle and she felt like kicking her feet. she finally got the girl of her dreams and u guys were a match made it heaven. she can't stop thinking of this moment for months to come and definitely shows how proud she is of you later that night.

so sorry for the late answer for this!! i was gonna answer immediately, but my computer crashed just when i was abt to post and i lost the whole thing. it was so silly too. anygays i got angry at tumblr so i wasn't inclined to answer this. but im good now!! so, over the past few days i was thinking (because a friend of mine also loves sorbet shark!! they're so cool) and im pretty sure ive come up with something good (but then again, it all could change. you never know) Ssc is a kid (of course) who lives with their mom and the dad is out sea traveling. ssc, obviously, looks up to their dad and wants to be just like him one day. for now though, ssc is just a normal kid with some talent ─ enough to work, sure, but their folks would never let them. except every night, they sneak out to the beach, where they help relicmen scavenge for sources. they don't really get that what relicmen do isn't the best and just wanna try help the ghosts, and they were told this was helping, so why not do it? also in this au ssc can talk on land because.. i really like candy diver cookie. a /lot/. one of my top 5. so, i gyatta get him in somehow. and what's better than putting my favourite sea related cookie and my friend's fav sea related cookie together? (ignore peppermint cookie i dont really care abt him canon doesnt exist and he can be a side character friend of ssc. cdc is the main goofster) but here's where i can't decide on what to do; so i'm just gonna say both my ideas!! 1) cdc is a homeless but alive kid, living in a cave on the beach. ssc found him one day while relic hunting and decided "hey, why not befriend this guy? he seems cool". cdc is mute (ofc <33) but they still communicate through their own version of sign language. 2) cdc is a ghost ─ dead. dead as a dodo. but he doesn't remember dying. he, for some reason, is a type 3, and ssc (unknowingly) can talk to type threes. cdc still is mute and he's still a goober. js dead uhhh sorry for derailing your sorbet shark post with candy diver!!! hope you like the au, feel free to give advice on cdc's role thingy. idrk

MINAMISAWA HEADCANNONS(+ibuki & hyoudou)

I need to rant abt him sm OK FIRST ONE I headcanon him and ibuki are cousins and hyoudou is like a childhood friend/family friend if that makes sense?? So imagine this;

The three are 7/8 years old at a barbie pop-up fair (hyoudou is obsessed with barbie and he forced the other two along with him) and they decided to go on those roller coasters that go in circles if ghat makes sense? Caterpillar roller coasters i think but imagine like a barbie themed version of that and one part is like a dip that makes you almost upside down but not like SOMETHING LIKE THAT, and it has a billboard of barbie with some quote like believe *glitter and sparkles** or smth but its like a billboard with a talking mouth??? I've seen them before but I can explain but basically a animations billboard kinda also with moving arms, LIKE A PAPER DOLL. So the three line up, minamisawa is the 1st of them. When the next cart rolls around it gets filled until the last cart where only one person can go in and minamisawa gets on... hyehye- SO THEN the coaster goes normally the 1st loop is fine BUT then the second loop it goes on the dip, the thing malfunctions... so minamusawa is stuck on the dip, with the billboard-animatronic-paperdoll repeating the same motivational quote for 30 whole minutes, and to make it worse he's the only one on the dip since hes the furthest cart back and everyone infront of him (besides maybe the one DIRECTLY in front of him???) Is already straight up T-T this event traumatised him so much that even the slightest mention of barbie makes him twitch an eye ever so slightly...

ANOTHER ONE. Dw this one js way shorter but once again, imagine it... one day hyoudou randomly asks minamisawa if he's gay, just out of the blue. Minamisawa doesn't question why he's asking and gives him a straightforward answer of "Im straight." BUT LIKE... he says it in a way that hyoudou doesn't know if he's lying or telling the truth. Hyoudou looks at him for deadass a whole minute trying to decipher if minamisawa is being sarcastic or honest. Add on the fact that I also think minamisawa is a sarcastic person in general hyoudou is just left there befuddled. He doesn't want to pry so he just gives him a nod, but he's still confused as fuck.

I could end there but I feel the need to elaborate; minamisawa is not afraid of pda/affection to anyone, he's willing to hold hands/hug and allt hats tuff with people platonically (if he doesn't see them as below him, which isn't alot/his opinions on people fluctuate alot) so hyoudou doesn't think much when minamisawa is being touchy with his close friends. But one day he sees minamisawa kiss this one dude on the cheek, so he's like "the fuck" so he goes up and asks him about it and minamisawa js just like "oh he's a close friend" BUT IT DOESNT WND THERE. Minamisawa once took kurama on a hangout/date to a fancy restaurant and again, I think minamisawa is like upper middle class and likes to spoil his closest closest friends so hyoudou again didn't think much, but then he asked minamisawa how did the night went and minamisawa said "yeah it was nice, the good was alright but we bought some desert and ate it together on my bed while watching some fuckass movie I don't remember shit to be honest... You know kuramas hair smells really nice-" and then hyouou just goes braindead. Once again he asks the question and minamisawa shoots back the classic answer of "oh he's just a close friend." So by now hyoudou just takes that as an answer and doesn't question him anymore.

another thing... last thing I promise, actually no its my blog I get to say anything- ANYWAYS minamisawa swears he's straight, but I feel like he doesn't even know what that means T0T LIKE he has some sort of internalised homophobia but like its not internalised honophobia? Like he thinks its biologically not possible for men to like each other and women to like eachother the whole schtick right. Hes not opposed to it but he think lgbtq people choose to like the other gender (which i feel the need to clarify they do NOT) so like, he's supportive but he just doesn't understand it?? He's not intolerant or anything i headcannon kurama as trans and minamisawa was the first person besides his parents he came out to and he was very supportive, but when it comes to liek homosexualness he just thinks its purely a choice. I think he has had MULTIPLE crushes on dudes in the past (and one in the present... cough kurama) but he doesn't think of them as crushes and instead thinks of them as "odd infatuations with my friends" or smth stupid like that. He will probably outgrow this belief and actually educate himself on that whole stuff later in life but like middleschool - highschool (maybe he learns later in highschool?) He thinks you BIOLOGICALLY SCIENTIFICALLY cant like the same gender

yes !! fun fact the first time i tried answering this it was entirrely incoherent. anyways, im splitting this into 2 parts (ha) so i can talk abt both Bessie & Fletcher! ok future me here let me lock in DAMN.

Bessie is the Batman alter. She usually co-fronts with Spoiler if the system even suspects Batman is nearby, which they do often (paranoia who?) & heavily influences Spoiler's behavior/personality to seem more "appeasing" to him. Batman gets a very ,, for lack of a better word, diluted version of Stephanie in general bc Bessie is terrified of him & the power he (theoretically and realistically) holds over the system's wellbeing/life. Spoiler hates this but acknowledges that the alternatives are worse :/ . For the 2nd question, regarding Bessie & Batman, it's a very much liek...... empty dynamic. Spoiler the alter still behaves like Spoiler the vigilante but due to being drowned out by Bessie near Batman, Batman just gets this disconnect between what he sees of Spoiler in videos etc. versus what he gets from them. Bessie is focused on doing what he says and overanalyzes everything abt him while Spoiler just really wants to add their own spin to things. It definitely puts a strain on not just Spoiler & Batman as a duo (bc Batman's a detective, he'd definitely clock that Spoiler acts like, wildly differently around him, but rarely does he put effort into trying to make Steph comfortable so) but also Bessie's & Spoiler's relationship in-system, bc Spoiler doesnt know why Bessie's so scared but knows that they just need to let her do her thing.

Fletcher, however, is a brown-haired teen in an unused prototype of Steph's Robin costume, and has been ever since Steph heard of Batman & Robin. He didnt do a whole lot for the majority of the system's life except occasionally take care of Crystal when the others js couldnt handle it. This changed when Steph met Bruce, out of costume, as the billionaire, as a ...potential ally. Fletcher idolized the man behind Batman's mask for years but all of that shatters so easily when they actually meet him. The others dont know why, even the ones that hold the various traumas they experienced that Bruce had some type of hand in, bc Fletcher isnt supposed to— and doesnt— remebmber what happened. All Fletcher knows is that she feels an uncomfortable range of emotions near Bruce (anger, hurt, discomfort, annoyance, list goes on) & doesnt know how to handle it. Fletcher exclusively fronts alone if Bruce is nearby and always does his best to push others out. She doesnt want Bruce near the rest of the system & will do anything to make sure he doesnt get anything from her or Bessie. This doesnt technically work w/ Bessie bc theyre, first: older than he is, & second: usually seen with Spoiler, who will tell Fletcher off— but it usually works w/ the other parts. What Bruce gets oftentimes is a Steph whos not afraid of telling him off, but rarely talks to him, and always has an eye on him like shes scared hes going to hurt her at any given moment. He gets a Steph who glares and snarls but keeps a distance. A Steph thats all bark but neither of them want to find out if she'll bite.

Anyway yea: Bessie is terrified of Batman and Fletcher fucking hates Bruce. This changes the canon dynamic because it means Spoiler the vigilante is a lot less "reckless" around him, but the personality changes make Bruce paranoid and irrational towards her, both in and out of costume.
