Johnny is such husband material!! He's genuinely soo thoughtful and sweet! like I always think about jcc and how he picks things to do based on who's in the video with him and what they would enjoy doing. which is why I would say one of his love languages is for sure acts of service! like he would always do the little things for you, that you may not even notice.

Also really big on communication. Anytime there's conflict in your marriage he's sitting you down and talking through it until you find a good solution. which I think is also a way that he shows he loves you because usually he can just brush things off, but with you he makes sure you're both on the same page and fully understand everything from each other's perspectives.

Johnny as a husband is also just so much fun! like there's not a day that goes by where he doesn't flirt with you like crazy. You could be twenty-five years into your marriage and he's still making you blush. He also loves to travel with you. He's always loved traveling and having someone who he can experience the world with is soo precious to him!!

I also feel like he would be in a constant battle with himself on how to impress you more and more by his good husband skills. Like he became a husband and all of a sudden it’s his life mission to make you the single happiest wife on earth. Especially with making sure you're taken care of!

Johnny enters the front door, too tired to even properly lift his feet causing them to drag. The combination of not getting enough sleep and dancing for hours straight was taking a toil on him. He knows immediately that you're not back from work yet, the atmosphere in an empty home just feels different somehow. He figures that you must be working late again. If he wasn't married, he would probably just go to bed right now without properly taking care of his needs, but he is married and he knows that you'll be hungry when you get home. He quickly checks in the kitchen to see if there's something easy to cook, but he doesn't find anything. He settles on taking out his phone and ordering takeout. He has a page on his notes app of all your favorite things to order from different restaurants just for situations like this. Yes, he could just ask you what you want, but sometimes being surprised with your favorite food just made it taste that much better. He places the order and then walks into the bathroom to wash his face, in hopes that it might wake him up a bit. However, once he flips on the light switch, he notices one of your face masks laying on the counter. "She must not have had enough time to do it last night." He thinks to himself, making a mental note of this as he brings his cupped hands full of cool water to his face. ⸻ It's not long after the food arrives that you come home, just as exhausted and hungry as Johnny figured you'd be. He gives you a sympathetic pout before he brings you into his embrace, letting you stay for as long as you want. It's two whole minutes into the hug before you finally notice the smell of your favorite takeout. You pull away from him and place your hands on his shoulders. "Did you buy me food?" "Maybee." He says, giving you his sweet smile. All your energy must have come back to you at the thought of food, because you rushed into the kitchen to grab a plate for the both of you. "Actually, I was thinking we could put on face masks together, sit on the couch, and eat while you tell me about your day." "Genuinely Johnny, I would love nothing more." You say, following him to the bathroom. "Actually, this is perfect because I was wanting to do one yesterday but got too tired." "Oh really?" He says, pretending like he hadn’t seen the face mask earlier.  You two put your sheet masks on in the bathroom and then go over to get your food. You sit on the couch in a criss-cross position as you tell Johnny all about your day. Actually, one of your coworkers recently had a very dramatic breakup with her boyfriend, so Johnny was all ears. "You know, It's actually so hard to eat with a sheet mask on, baby." Johnny says, adjusting his mask that started to slide down. "But it's worth it, it feels so nice," You say, setting down your food and helping him with his mask. You get it back into the right position and then kiss him on his temple which puts a proud grin on his face because he knows getting you food and doing face masks together made you happy.

taeil… cooking: GOD im having taeil brainrot bc he was on that baby show, and him ripping that crab with his bare hands.... sickening. bc UGH he is such husband material. imagining you both in the kitchen cooking and he's genuinely such a menace and you cant hear the music you suggested to play, anymore bc his smooching noises are so LOUD and suddenly the homemade pho you were both attempting to make while wearing matching aprons is on the verge of being forgotten lol. you finally give in after much name calling from him and let him press your cheeks together to give you a wet, loud smooch on your forehead. theres something about cooking to taeil thats so personal and adult-y to him. like oh my god here you both are, sitting in your VERY cute shared apartment, sharing a very nice bowl of noodles as the roses he planted now lay in a small mint green vase on your tiny dining room table. its something about the domesticity of working on something together, enjoying yourselves while doing it AND getting to eat the end product of said hard work, that he finds incredibly fullfilling. sitting across the love of his life. another thing he likes to do is prop his feet next to your right thigh on your chair and you do the same. you guys have your legs resting on each others chairs under the table. sometimes he pulls on the skin of your calf and when you complain you haven't shaven he rolls his eyes and seems to swat your words out of the air in front of him. long story short he just watches you ramble on about your day at work, until he stares for too long and hasn't realized you're practically shaking the life out of him because he never answered your questions about whether or not he gave brina and brita their fish food

johnny... sharing a book: johnny pegs me as someone who's super patient! maybe he's not bc... parasocial relationships LOL but in his interactions with everyone else, like that one jcc where mark doesn't want frozen yogurt and he was so nice abt it! but similarly to renjun, its nice to share something in bed but also both be consuming the same content yknow? he also seems to me like the type of guy who, likes to finish something before moving on to the next big thing WHICH means.... you spending about 5 months going through the entire percy jackson series PFTT. but its SOO GOOD and you both get so into it and after you finish the first two books you immediately both skip lectures or work the next day just to watch the movies and you both lose your minds at how bad they are TT. but yes its such a nice time to unwind! he loves having you lay between his legs, head on his collarbone as his arms circle around your torso to lay the book on your hipbone. he always waits for you to finish before he turns the page ofc! he also bought a little reading light that can be clipped on the the binding of the outside of the book and illuminate the pages in case reading went on a lot longer than expected. the bookmark that holds your place in the story was a polaroid picture of you sleeping HOWEVER it got replaced to a picture of you looking thru a glass of wine and it makes your face look all warped and funny lol. johnny always smiles when he sees it so its a good way to begin reading time hehe. kinda obvious but his body heat + his room + the smell of his lingering cologne on his sheets is chefs kiss, extra points if the apartment still smells like coffee from this morning OR the bottle of red wine he opened that sits on the nightstand </3

taeyong... customizing clothes together: GODDDD ya'll would be the most well dressed couple ever dude. yong is so creative, and i sense that he would want his partner to share his same taste at least when it comes to clothes and art! this isn't something you both do often bc... life lol but it started when you were cleaning out your shared closet. both sprawled on the floor, as you begin complaining about how you've both found pieces of clothing that you felt guilty about throwing away. then! yong suggests going to the craft/vintage store to see if theres any way to up-cycle what you've found. so thats how you spend the summer weekend. sat on the plush fuchsia rug in your living room, surrounded by denim, fabric squares, 80s brooches, lace, ribbon, etc etc as you spend the humid and sticky afternoon binging nana while you both sit in creative/comfortable silence, gluing and pining and sewing things to various articles of clothing. its SO cozy, funk music plays from the mini speaker you guys co-own and at the end of the task, you give each other a private fashion show styling your new clothes! he adores watching you pretend to model and eggs you on sm "y/n you need to consider doing this for real, everything looks good on you its not fair," this day is something that you both remember for a while. there were shared childhood stories, insecurities, dreams and you both were so much more vulnerable because there was something to distract yourselves with. the night ends in an absolute destruction of your living room floor, but accompanied with a cuddle session in his bed, the sounds from the ceiling fan and his heart beat almost make you sleepy, almost missing his whispered compliments and soft neck kisses.

yuta... hair: ok i know this is super vague but as a fellow scorpio who loves doing things to their hair, theres nothing more i want in life than someone to be able to do those things with! like ugh late night hair salon time with yuta, yup. this goes along so well with trust as well. i mean he's letting you cut, dye and style his hair and vice versa. i feel like he'd be with someone who's more edgy and this would be such a raw moment for you as a couple LIKE you're changing each other's appearances and its a time of patience. listening is extremely important as well and whenever you go through a new hair phase, sitting down at the sink and soaking up what the other has to say and practically baring their souls out while the bleach is very much stinging the top of his scalp is really fascinating LMAO, needless to say you guys aren't the typical couple, but it works. the amount of understanding and empathy you've both adopted for one another is lovely! and not to mention is super cute when yuta crinkles his nose, his teeth peeking out just a bit from the opening of his lips, because he absolutely needed a blonde wolf cut and hair is very much getting all over his face. in moments like this he doesn't think he would trade your adorable and super hot according to him concentration face. ALSOOO angsy, hot, jrock inspired couple photos are a must and yes, everyone on campus is jealous.

doyoung... driving: CORNYY BOOO yes ik, but guys? him driving, in that domestic ass button up and black thick rimmed glasses. he needs to be in jail bc he absolutely would be that bf to throw rocks at your window even though, yes you live together and yes its an apartment complex but, he wants you to feel that super giddy like, puppy bunny love again and he almost brought a boombox to play to play head over heels by tears for fears but... too much according to jaehyun lol. so anyways he loves late night drives with you. or any drives really! his favorites are a combination of picking you up late night from work and getting to hear all the drama whilst you guys eay in-n-out in the parking lot. and listen, im not trying to push the doyoung medical student agenda but... i 100% am and his reasoning for these late nights is because he's soooo busy! he feels guilty he doesn't take you out to nicer places and you always have to reassure him that anywhere he goes with you, is automatically a win in your books. its moments like these where he really grasps how lucky he is. oh wow.... you really do love him and it FREAKS him out in the best way. every night always ends sappy bc he's so GROSS geez. he's such a romantic in a way you would never expect. he's not cheesy or arrogant about loving you, and he never considers it something he has to do either. he just fully, truly and honestly wants to worship the ground you walk on. DON'T even get me started on drive-in movies omg. basically his cherry red car is your safe space lol </3

jaehyun... record swapping: tha music man muahaha. my heart tells me you both met in a vintage record store AHH, he saw you and his heart physically ached like when you see a pretty person in public, yeah but x 100 like he got the wind knocked out of him and he fucking drops, the stack of chet baker records he had on hand and his ears look like red bell peppers and he wants to crawl away until you rush over not like run but brisk walking? lol as you help him pick up all the vinyls he dropped.you noticed in between the pile of 50s music he had a limited edition vinyl of on of your favorite bands and that had you whipping your head up and noticing how soft he looked all flushed and dimples peaking out from the thin line on his lips. definition of he fell first but you fell harder ESPECIALLY on ya'll's second/third date. he invited you over to his house and requested you to bring your best albums. AND GODDDD the date was... truly when you fell harder for him. you spent the night swapping albums aka baring your souls and sitting on his kitchen counter as he paces back and forth in front of you as he goes on a tangent about his favorite artist. its like the world slows down and you both leave that date with a new record from the other and a notion that you were definitely falling in love with each other

jungwoo... bubble baths: GAAHHH TT. tell me, that jungwoo wouldn't adore relaxing with a full on bubble bath with you. and i'm talking like bubblegum flavored soap, bath bombs, dried flowers, candles, mood lighting???? its too good. after the first couple of times you've done it, he learns your habits and favorite smells as well as the right way to position you in the tub bc he takes up sm of it LOL. and if you're both tall... you make it work! hehe. but DUDE once he learns how to juggle this intimate activity LMFAO he buys stuff specifically for your sunday reset bubble baths OMG, like that board that stands across the tub just so he can set his laptop on it. yes its just bc he wants to watch disney movies and real house wives while unwinding haha. he's so sweet though, being all pretty with his skin a little glowy because of the steam coming from the water, his eyebrows brush up from when he swiped water on his eyes and his eyes twinkling once he stacks a bunch of bubbles on your head in a makeshift crown. he likes to give u bubbly shoulder kisses BOOOOOOO yes im jealous bc he's perfect and OFC he picks out the perfect pjs and warms them up in the dryer and sits you on the bathroom counter just so he can do your skincare for you </3

TAEYONG

MOM AND DAD!!! everyone always jokes that they are the parents / stressed mom and dad / co-leaders of NCT. taeyong said he offered the leader role to monique pre-debut, but she declined because she insisted that taeyong was the one who earned it 🥺. moni and taeyong are always seen watching in the corner as chaos begins…waiting together until they have to intervene.

tae + moni are probably the closest out of everyone in NCT, they grew up eachother living as neighbors, so they go WAY back. they love sharing stories from school to nctzens! moni always jokes that taeyong will be the one to walk her down the aisle when she marries (since yk, her dad left to get milk and never came back 💀), and taeyong doesn’t believe it…but she really does mean it! their relationship is just so precious, we love to see it!

JOHNNY

BESTIESSSSS, johnny & monique just clicked when they met as trainees, and instantly hit it off!! they bonded over the fact they were away from home, and they both taught each other things about their country! moni even successfully taught johnny how to speak in french somewhat! she accidentally switches from english to french when she’s have conversations w/ johnny, and johnny just stands there like 🧍‍♂️ i have no idea what your saying.

johnny loves to take moni on little adventures and they are always going sight seeing or going to other cities to explore whenever they have downtime! she is often a guest on JCC … even if she isn’t tagging along for the activity she finds a way to be in it, even if she’s unwilling. they always have a blast together! it’s so easy for moni & johnny to talk to each other and moni loves that she gets to relax around johnny and know she’s going to have a good time!

YUTA

THE BADDIES of NCT. lemme tell you, yuta & moni? baddest besties alive, they look like the could kill you, but actually are the sweetest duo known to earth. they are always hyping each other up and whenever they go out, they are DRESSSSEDD. they love to express themselves in anyway, and they are each other’s biggest supporters.

the two of them are always stirring the pot whenever they are eachother, they love to make stuff up and convince everyone it’s true and just mess with everyone…it’s typically doyoung or taeyong that realize their antics and in moni’s words “ruin the fun” they are also always just doing crazy things and the members are lowkey scared of them, esp moni. yuta brings out the chaotic side of her members never thought could ever exist 😭😭

DOYOUNG

doyoung just wants to worry and care for moni like a gentlemen, but moni makes it SO HARD. she’s always harassing him and making fun of him, and doyoung is just like 💀 girl be so for real rn. he would be in the middle of doing something for her like opening a chip bag and moni just starts screaming “YAH, DOYOUNG, DO YOU THINK IM INCAPABLE JUST BECAUSE IM A WOMEN? YOU DONT THINK I HAVE MUSCLES? HOW RUDE.” and doyoung is like WTF. he just looks at her with his crazy eyes and gives up 😭😭

but dw, doyoung will harass her right back and moni will giggle and say sorry. he always worries about her and makes sure she’s eating and drinking and will always try and prevent her from making self-sabotaging decisions…but does she listen? 9 times out of 10 she doesn’t but yk, he tried!!

JAEHYUN

moni is sooo affectionate around jaehyun, he just looks so cozy and comfy! whenever she sees him she loves to tackle him in a hug and lay her entire body weight on him. jae is dying while moni is in her own world, happy as could be. jae & moni are inseparable once together though, once they hang out and spend time together; there’s no going back. they will spend time together until moni passes out and takes a cat nap…and jaehyun just goes back to playing games.

moni & jaehyun are such a great team when playing games, because moni is really good at creating strategy and working out puzzles, while jaehyun has the muscle to actually execute the mission. moni always takes his strength to her advantage, for example having him carry her bags or even her when she’s super tired…not that jae minds though. he likes that moni allows him to protect her!!! if someone were to mess w/ moni…you better hide from jaehyun, he is moni’s #1 defender.

JUNGWOO

jungwoo LOVES to listen to moni. whenever moni needs someone to talk to to either vent or just talk about built up ideas in her head, she goes to jungwoo. he loves listening to his older sister talk…even if he’s worried for her mental health. he will always be moni’s shoulder to rest on! he will listen and let her talk, and then the two of them will work it out together…or just do something to cheer themselves up!

moni adores jungwoo with all her heart, she will spoil him always. if he briefly mentions wanting something one day, she’ll buy it and hide it until his bday/christmas. she would do anything for woo, and it’s so precious! all the members complain that jungwoo is her favorite because she always is doing stuff for him, and she will swear up and down she doesn’t have a favorite….but jungwoo knows he’s the favorite <3

MARK

mark is moni’s child - she’s always worried…she’s worried about his health but also worried about just how he acts. mark will say some weird stuff and moni is just standing there like 😀 should i be concerned? but besides her worries, mark makes her laugh SO MUCH. she will try and hold in her giggles..but mark makes it impossible 😭

make probably visits moni’s apartment the most out of 127, he likes to come visit after a long day when he needs to just power down and be in silence for awhile. moni always lets him crash in her bed and let him relax….she will usually just sleep on her couch or spend time in her studio. she will always make him breakfast before he leaves too! moni will always understand and let him come over when he needs to be alone…but he also comes and visits and watches movies with her! he tolerates her movies as long as she makes him food 🥺

HAECHAN

haechan will harass moni just like he will the other members, but moni just smiles and pats his head in response. moni will always have a soft spot for her younger members, and they can’t help but crumble under her love <3. moni will always be there to gently pat his head and tell him it’s okay…which causes him to be even more chaotic 💀, haechan just sticks his tongue out at moni and carries on

but haechan loves loves loves moni, he will always hug her and cling on to her, and moni just smiles and wraps him up in her arms. she took care of him and the dreamies a lot during training days because they were so young…so moni is lowkey haechan’s 2nd mom. haechan always knows he can rely on moni to save him whenever he is loosing or getting picked on too!!! moni will defend haechan until the day she dies <3

Ok ok ok ok I think I’ve got this..

Mark

A little chaotic tbh. If you’ve seen the JCC where he’s baking with Johnny and Ten then you know what I mean. He’s doing his best and that’s what matters, even if you somehow end up with bread instead of cookies, plus it’s quality time with each other and it’ll definitely be filled with a lot of laughs. He'd probably crack the corniest jokes or make awful puns about whatever step you're on with the recipe. Lots of touch whether it's a hand holding your shoulder while he laughs or he'll stand directly next to you and give you a little hip bump to get your attention. He'd just randomly smile at you because his heart is so full of love for you. The most gentle and lighthearted atmosphere on the planet and when the finished product comes out of the oven looking a little suspicious, the two of you would laugh together and be surprised that the outcome actually tastes pretty good.

Renjun

I feel like baking wise he’d know his way around the kitchen. It’d be a more calm environment and you guys would play more laid back songs and maybe end up dancing in the kitchen together. Swaying together and laughing lightheartedly after you place the baking sheet into the oven. While you wait and prepare the icing, he'd backhug you and place a little kiss on your neck before resting his head on your shoulder, watching your efforts and would maybe even softly hum whatever song you two are listening to in that moment. When the cookies are done and decorated you guys just stare at them with pride before one of the members snatches one and runs away.

Jeno

For Jeno I feel like it could sway either way with being fun or being soft, it just depends on the mood of the situation. If it’s fun I feel like it’d be more playful and like maybe you guys have like a mini flour fight or like smear the dough or batter of the cookies or cake you’re baking on each other’s faces. If the mood is more soft it’d probably be similar to Renjun but I feel like Jeno would take even more of a lead and the two of you could work next to each other in a comfortable silence. He’d probably wrap an arm around your waist or kiss your cheek occasionally while guiding you through the instructions and by the end, whatever you were baking is gonna turn out great.

Haechan

His smug ass. He’d be so cocky and brag about how good his baking is because he made amazing cookies before (probably once tbh). When you challenge him to a competition and call his bluff his ego gets in the way and agrees. He’d tease you to distract you the whole time so he can win, like if he needed to get something from you he’d basically press his whole body against you, maybe even place his hand on the small of your back, and grab whatever he needed before walking back to his little situation while he leaves you all flustered. He also might randomly back hug you randomly and kiss your neck while you just whine out his name annoyance, shooing him back to what is now a disastrous mess. Once the cookies are done, you have the members try them and when everyone agrees that yours are better he becomes the whiniest person you’ve ever met. He mopes around for the rest of the day until you cuddle together at the end of the night and he forgets the whole ordeal.

Jaemin

He’s so goofy when he’s with you but when he’s baking he’s pretty serious. He’d still crack jokes with you and mess around a little, maybe doing that little baby talk thing he does sometimes with the members (but obviously to you). Similar to jeno, he’d guide you through the steps. If you’re super focused on something, he might pull out his camera and secretly snap a few pics for a new Lock Screen before telling you how glad he is that you two met. He’d wrap his arms around your waist and rest his head on your shoulder while he continues to watch your efforts before he goes to set up the baking sheets and preheat the oven. He for sure just adores you.

Chenle

He’d know his way around a kitchen and he’d take every opportunity to sass you about it. Little Gordon Ramsey tbh, just baking up a storm next you. He'd still be joking around with you and I can see him dumping compliments on you so you're all flustered and then poking fun at how flustered you are. It would be more of a high energy experience when he's not focused on something and he'd just tease you and be dramatic about whatever you're doing. Whatever the two of you are baking ends up being and he'll shower you with compliments and call you little pet names.

Jisung

For Jisung I definitely feel like you'd end up having to take the lead on organizing everything for the recipe. He's not clueless, he's just a little clumsy. Meaning, you kind of monitor him when he's measuring things out. He'll most-likely have to just sit back and watch and I don't think he'd mind it since he's a more observant person anyways. He'd watch you with curiosity and love sparkling in his eyes as he watches your every move. Lots of questions from him, he'd also probably stand behind you and peek over your shoulder from time to time and pace elsewhere. Once the treat or treats that you're baking are in the oven, he gravitates towards you and backlogs you, caging your figure in his arms. The set is familiar—like you’ve seen it before in another video that Johnny’s made. But now it had been refurbished, the old brown wood painted flush with a rich black color that still felt tacky to the touch. You turned away from the wall, catching Mark’s brown eyes as you regroup with the three other members that sat around the table. He looks down shyly, turning visibly pink as you to stare in between his eyebrows—scared to look into his eyes again.

“Welcome back to JCC everyone! We’re here with—”

“Mark!”

“Jaehyun!”

“(Y/n).” You feel the air shift at your introduction—it was short and cold as you looked down at the pattern on the table. Now all eyes were on you, followed by half of the crew that surrounded the set. Their eyes felt like beady little cameras—watching to judge—to catch a single mistake in how you carry yourself.

“And Haechan!” Immediately the mood goes back to how it was before you announced yourself—the suddenly bright atmosphere leaving you with a bitter feeling in your chest. “It’s been a while since I’ve appeared in JCC and it’s (Y/n/n)’s first time! How are you feeling?”

Again, all eyes fall on you. You feel the whites of your eyes stinging as you focused all of your attention on the microphone in front of you. It reminded you of Johnny and Jaehyun’s Nct Night Night show. This set was much smaller—you would even bet that it was less than half the size of their old studio. The first time you had visited them was when you were a trainee. Having tagged along with Mark since he had invited you. Last time they happily included you in the segment, making you feel comfortable enough to freestyle on the spot.

This time just felt different. The hold your depressive episode had on you was strong enough to not let you enjoy anything. It kept you from being present in the moment with your members—kept you from being happy that Johnny asked you specifically to join his new video.

“I’m feeling grateful, Haechannie. To be here with you guys is more than enough.” Johnny coos, smiling with his eyes as he motions you to continue. “It’s been a hard couple of years you know? What with the pandemic and the uncertainty of my debut, but we got through it—you guys are forever stuck with me.” While the sentiment was there, you felt as if you just performing—putting on a show. Saying things you knew the viewers would want to hear. Your body physically was here—sure—but your mind was elsewhere. Still in the unmade bed in the room that you shared with Mark.

Mark—who kept trying to catch your eyes just once as you kept quiet throughout the filming process. Only laughing when the others laughed and clapping whenever they clapped. He furrowed his eyebrows, trying to steer the conversation away from you as he felt the melancholy ooze from you and your slouched posture. He kept the others busy—too busy to notice how the cameras only followed them and the sound of their voices rather than focusing on your own sullen demeanor. It felt like a stab at your heart. His kindness making your longing feel even worse as he tried his hardest to help you when you felt the most helpless. But that was Mark for you.

“Now, before wrapping this up, we had a special guest on Nct Night Night a few years ago. He did this freestyle rap for us on the spot and it stuck with me even now. One of our most talented. I’m hoping you say yes when I ask you to do another for us? Only if you’re comfortable, of course.” You feel tense, the sincerity behind Jaehyun’s words falling on your ears but not processing in your brain. You were glad to have made such an impression on them but you were such a different (Y/n) now compared to just a few years ago—hell, compared to a few weeks ago even. With a shy nod, you tap on the mic, making sure it was still on after not having said anything for the better part of an hour.

“Of course. That memory has stuck with me too, Jaehyun-ssi. It was when I knew this group would be perfect for me.” You cleared your throat, doing mock vocal warmups with Johnny as they all cheered you on. Finally, your eyes meet Mark’s—who looks at you like a deer caught in headlights. “Mark, do you mind just beatboxing for me? Whatever is fine—I know you’ll come up with something genius.” And just like that he begins with a slow beat, giving you long half notes before transitioning into quick eighth notes. “It’s like staring down the barrel of a gun—where my life had just begun—”

The rest of the lyrics are forgotten. A thing of the past as you reach the end of your rhymes and metaphors. There was no need to memorize them for a song, knowing you could never express how you feel so intimately with others—such as fans. A beat passes, the members stunned into silence before bursting into a round of applause for you.

“Wow. Still the same amazing lyricist as before—”

“Is it okay if I step out for a second?”

The lights in the restrooms are no better than the ones on set—in actuality, they made you feel worse as you leaned your back into the cool wall between the mirror and the hand dryer. You took in slow deep breaths, closing your eyes as you tried to talk yourself down from spiraling any further.

“Hey.” Mark’s voice startled you, causing a shiver to run through your whole body before you settled back into a comfortable position. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you—I could go back, if you’d like.” You grab at the hand closest to you, pulling at Mark’s wrist so he’s just mere centimeters away from you. “Johnny said he could exclude that whole part of the video if you’d like. He also wanted me to tell you not to feel too guilty. We could refilm whenever you felt better.” Mark reciprocates your hold on him, grabbing your waist his his free hand and rubbing small circles into it.

He pulls you into a hug, done with pushing his feelings down when all he’s wanted to do all day was be next to you. To trace the wrinkles in your palm under the table to soothe you and help you through the recording. He’s never felt more at home than he does in your arms as you wrap them around his hips, settling in to his warmth and letting your body relax into his. It was as if you molded perfectly together—like puzzle pieces.

“I’m so tired, Mark. I don’t know how much longer I can go on feeling like this. I don’t even know what this is—I’m perfectly fine. Physically I’m healthy, nothing went wrong I just feel like shit. How do I stop feeling like I don’t deserve to be here?” Without warning you feel yourself shaking, shedding angry tears into Mark’s shoulder as he held you, hands running up and down your back.

“I’m sorry baby. I wish I could tell you how to get through it faster but everyone heals differently. I wish I could just snap my fingers and get rid of all the sadness you have experienced. You know, if only the world functioned like that.” Sensing your quietness he stops joking around—pulling your head up with both of his large hands. He is forcing you to face him. Your red eyes swollen as he looks down at you with parted pink lips. “You did so great in there, (Y/n). You tried your hardest to be present with us regardless of what you’ve had to fight in your own mind.”

You can’t help but start crying again—scared to let go of Mark as if he would disappear from right in front you of. Not that it matters—he would have never done that you.
