With the murder of that CEO of an insurance company I want to remind everyone:
Insurance companies are using AI to analyze claims (and we all know AIs are biased and fail)
So if you get your claim rejected APPEAL! ALWAYS! There's a high possibility they end up approving it.
Also, insurances are a fraud from start to end but if you need one make sure to read it THOROUGHLY and try not to do anything until you have their approval even if you think they'll surely approve it.

The demand for accurate and reliable Medical Translation Services has never been higher. With the global reach of medical research, pharmaceutical developments, and patient care, ensuring clear and precise communication across languages is crucial. As we step into 2024, let’s explore the various types of medical translation services that are shaping the healthcare landscape.
What is Medical Translation?
Definition and Scope
Medical translation involves the translation of healthcare-related documents and materials from one language to another. This encompasses a wide range of content, including clinical trial protocols, patient information leaflets, medical device manuals, and more. The goal is to ensure that medical information is accurately conveyed to all stakeholders, regardless of their native language.
Key Differences from General Translation
Unlike general translation, medical translation requires specialized knowledge of medical terminology, regulatory standards, and cultural nuances. It’s not just about translating words but also about maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the information, which can have direct implications for patient health and safety.
Types of Medical Translation Services
Clinical Trial Translations
Clinical trials are critical for the development of new medical treatments and drugs. Translating clinical trial documents is essential for global research collaborations, patient recruitment, and regulatory submissions. These translations must be precise to ensure the validity of the trial data and compliance with international standards.

Little-known benefits of medical interpretation services at a glance
The medical sector has come a long way over the decades. However, the global medical sector still fell short in terms of efficiency when the recent pandemic hit the world’s population.
However, everything was not doom and gloom during the 2019 to early 2021 global lockdown days. A lot of innovations were made by the global medical sector and one of them was the enhancement of remote medical consultations.
Remote medical consultations were carried out by doctors around the world during the worst phases of the COVID–19 pandemic days in a bid to keep immune individuals safe from the infected. At the same time, remote medical consultation services also helped to keep the pandemic from taking more lives.
These days, remote medical consultations better known as telehealth services have become the norm. And if your organization is also planning to offer telehealth services along with its current range of medical services then you would need to seek help from agencies offering medical interpretation services.
Why?
Well, only a fraction of the world’s population has English proficiency. Hence, to make sure people do not die due to misdiagnosis or delayed medical assistance especially when the medical assistance is offered remotely, medical and healthcare interpretation services have become the norm worldwide.
Why has medical interpretation become a significant part of the healthcare sector?
Well, for starters, certified medical translators help to bridge the linguistic gaps between patients and healthcare professionals.
Secondly, professional medical interpretation services can also shorten the time between consultations and the beginning phase of prescribed treatments.
Then there is the benefit of quickly addressing the grievances of patients and their loved ones. Medical institutions that rely on medical translation services tend to rank high in patient satisfaction parameters. Hence, using medical document translation services is a no-brainer.
Medical institutions that previously struggled to maintain the quality of medical services rendered across digital and physical touchpoints can these days, with the help of certified medical interpretation experts take the quality of medical services rendered to new heights.
Furthermore, when there are fewer misdiagnoses, there will be fewer patient fatalities. And when there are fewer patient fatalities, there will be fewer legal proceedings against the medical institution in question. In simple words, using medical interpretation services can help a medical institution hone its reputation as well as keep its overhead costs manageable.
Just like businesses tend to thrive when they make sure their patrons are satisfied, medical institutions would also witness an increase in popularity and revenue when their patients and their families leave the grounds with smiles on their faces. Interpretation services specifically designed for the medical sector tend to help a lot in this matter, especially to medical institutions that recently opened up their doors to patients.
Even the most qualified medical professionals fall short when it comes to delivering high quality healthcare services when cultural and linguistic differences come in their way. To make sure that the star medical professionals in your healthcare institution never leave their jobs or are subjected to lawsuits, make sure that your medical institution is backed by certified medical interpreters associated with the most reputed language service provider.
Repeat business is one of the highly sought-after goals in the corporate world. This is also applicable to medical institutions. It should be kept in mind that medical institutions are at the end of the day, a source of revenue for the people that own the same. Hence, the people that own a medical institution must take all the steps that are practically possible to make sure their clinic or hospital remains at the top position. And one of the most effective ways to achieve the above-mentioned objective is to use medical interpretation services since happy and satisfied patients would naturally choose to come back whenever they need medical assistance. Isn’t it!?
Medical interpretation is going places
Remote medical consultations are slowly taking a mainstream position in the global medical sector. And without the expertise of certified medical interpreters associated with reputed language service providers, medical institutions cannot offer reliable and quality-assured remote medical consultation services. In case your organization is planning to add remote medical consultations into its range of medical services, it is high time to get in touch with a reputed medical interpretation agency for the best results. It is as simple as that!

On the left is an official document issued to the Chinese government by the American Embassy, shared on xiaohongshu and apparently believed by normal Chinese folk, that is filled with so many lies it makes me want to rage puke- and I'm not even American. On the right is the translation of this document into English. Here's a little tl;dr-
- According to the American Embassy, the average American household income is $1.2 MILLION. This is clearly a manipulated statistic, but the method of manipulation is interesting- because for this number to make sense as an average, it would mean the wealthiest people in America could make every household millionaires and still be millionaires themselves. I don't doubt that this is, indeed, the mathematical average of American income, which is disgusting considering the income of the average American.
-According to the American Embassy, social security provides adequate healthcare, childcare, social services and pensions to a majority of Americans. They are literally saying you guys get FREE HEALTHCARE. At this point, everybody in the Western world knows this is patently untrue, no matter which way you approach the matter.
-According to the American Embassy, recent surveys have shown that Americans don't even consider 'millionaires' to be rich anymore. I don't even know what to say about this one, I'm lost for words! Every American I know would consider themselves, at the very least, profoundly fortunate if they were a millionaire.
- According to the American Embassy, food costs account for roughly 10% of household income, and a 1.3% rise in the price of groceries recently is in line with recent wage increases and therefore effectively unchanged. Is this your experience of recent increases in the cost of food? Pretty confident the answer is "LMAO no, wtf?!".
Look, I know I'm not American, but I care about several American people personally, and I care about human beings generally. I've spent time in LA and seen the homeless camps. It breaks my fucking heart to know that many of the people in those camps have done nothing to deserve it except be unfortunate enough to require a medical procedure.
Much like an abusive partner, the American government- under BOTH Republican and Democratic rule- have maintained a long running campaign of information control and disinformation that has thrived on the inability of most American people to communicate with Chinese people. Think about it- the right wing hate China because of the so-called evils of communism, and the left wing distrusts China for a slew of alleged human rights violations, few of which have been substantiated by anyone actually inside of China since the 90s. I'm forced to wonder how much truth there is to many of the things I've learned from sources that I've now found out are happy to manipulate statistics and outright lie in official government documents.
Look, I'm British, my government is evil as hell, all day every day, it doesn't matter who we vote for, they stay evil. Not only am I sick to my stomach about what an insult to humanity these documents are, it makes me wonder what lies my own government has hidden in foreign languages, away from the eyes of my working class.
Luigi said "This is an insult to the intelligence of the American people". He's right. They are insulting you. They are insulting all of humanity with this bullshit. I'm not saying put aside all your differences with people on the other side of the fence to you, but I am saying that they keep us from working together the same way they kept this document a secret- by making it unlikely that we will come together to have a rational conversation, rather than a debate, and compare notes. It's the same way they are stopping us from making any kind of meaningful change for the better as a society.
Every normal person in the West is struggling right now. We are all FUCKED, and we are only getting more fucked as time goes on. But the rich are still getting richer. The businesses we owe our paychecks to in order to survive have experienced record profits as they tell us they can't afford to pay us decently or offer a fair and affordable price for their services. This isn't just inept and indifferent- it's fucking sadistic. We need to put aside the political arguments we've been taught to have and start having conversations across the divide so that we have a chance to scare these fuckers straight at some point in our lifetime.

The most well-known (though not well-documented) species of the known galaxy in both Galactic Fed and Shadow regions.
The Gleiknt, The Tzhi, The human, The O'glai, The Cherüb, The Bluáfia, and The Nek-Nek.
Species like Gleiknts and Nek-Neks on the other hand are not welcome within GF regions, their respective empires having a massive history of stealing from, abducting, enslaving, experimenting, and wiping out multitudes of species that are allied with the GF, and with both empires showing no signs of cooperation, they're kept out of GF regions and GF protected planets. Sometimes, though rare, a gleiknt or nek-nek can manage to slip past authority figures to continue their crimes, often found leading illegal operations that involve inhabitants of GF regions.
Humans, Cherübs, and Bluáfia are known as the three species that together, created the Galactic Federation. Other species such as the O'glai are close allies with the GF, just as many others, those of which often populate GF Community planets.
The O'glai are very passionate cultivators, often working in agricultural moons as well as planet biome restoration. Their thumbs as green as their blood!
The Humans are the most influential, their culture practically being the core of the Galactic Federation! It's no surprise why so many species are committed to learning human languages and gestures, baring teeth being a symbol of joy and bonds in this regions.
The Cherüb are very labor-focused, having developed the most powerful technology and strongest military in the known universe. Often working in positions of power, being seen as a species that can handle the extreme pressures of volatile jobs with flawless grace. Unfortunately this seems to come with very inflated egos.
The Bluáfia are a very spiritual species, their healthcare being like no other as powerful healers, empaths, and telepaths. They're very friendly, very aloof, and generally have a very relaxing aura to them.
The Gleiknt and Nek-Nek dominate the desolate and/or aggressive regions of space, commonly referred to as Shadow regions. Some regions are more dangerous than others, the "safest" being moons and planets that GF inhabitants often pass through for less than savory intentions. Illegal drugs, unregulated/untested weapons, illegal surgeries, illegal meats and illegal trades. All things shady! But if caught by GF Patrol, they're sure to pay a hefty fine. Inhabitants of these shady moons and planets take advantage of the influx of visitors to sell whatever brings in more GF folk. And with enough popularity, shady influences are sure to seep into GF regions.
And the Tzhi, a species that despite being easily recognized, is pretty mysterious, solitary wanders that equally populate GF and Shadow regions, often hired as translators with how many languages they not only know but so fluently speak in a voice that perfectly imitates the vocals of the species the tongue originates from.

this is such a med school rant so pls feel free to ignore
after writing 18000 personal statements throughout my life, i'm staring at an empty document for my medical school personal statement and i have nothing to say.
they probably want me to talk about time i've spent in the clinic that taught me compassion and empathy and the positive impact i've made on patient's lives. but honestly, i've spent most of my time so far at the lab bench, working on research that is years away from being applicable to the human patient. i've spent most of my time studying economics and financing and healthcare policy and studying the social determinants of health.
how do i explain that all of these experiences have helped me learn that compassion and empathy anyway? that when i see the lower-income housing the city built next to the 8-way intersection i immediately think of the children who walk to the bus stop inhaling a higher amount of carbon monoxide and vehicle emissions pollutants because of my research into the way regional factors affect health status? that the value of research is being able to dissect the mundane to see social factors that help you understand people?
how do i explain that every day i've spent alone in lab, the clock ticking close to 9pm, and i am hopeful to find something significant, i am sharing a liminal space with the most inspiring mentors, twenty and thirty and forty-somethings who have given up over a decade of their lives to not just be physicians but to be physician-scientists. that they have made me realize that research is not removed from patients, that everything we do is a love letter for the communities we hope to eventually support. every moment in a lab is woven together with the idealism of saving lives. that knowing more will allow us to help more.
how do i explain that finding communities and building communities taught me more about empathy and compassion than any clinical experience? i've lived half lives in both america and india, and nothing has been more impactful to me in being able to see and respect new perspectives. that desperation with which i wanted to know myself, different parts of my own culture and my own family, it directly translated into my passion for understanding others. in a clinical setting i realized the demands of the clinical practice, how hard providers have to work to try to meet the many needs of their patients in not even close to ideal conditions but everything i learned there was practical. it taught me the practicalities of medicine.
but all the best parts of me are romantic, idealistic, creative and bright, soft-edged and emotional. they are parts that will slowly fade as i am trained, but they are equally the parts that make me want to be here in the first place. they are the parts of me that make me a loving daughter, a caring sister, an effective teacher, a passionate sports fan, a disciplined singer, a curious learner. every part of me has always focused on the story. the person behind everything. that is what i want to highlight. how the FUCK do you highlight that
i don't know how to explain that i am fascinated by the humanity in everything, and a good clinician should always be primarily concerned with the humanity in their patient before they see the disease. and beyond that, i don't even know how to show my fascination with humanity.
i wish i could just type out 'be curious, not judgemental' on a blank doc and send it in. it's basically my entire point. every part of me is predicated around a freaking ted lasso quote.

(story taken and machine-translated from the official twitter account of the Mission of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea)
Today's story is about a woman who was detained by the occupiers in the spring of 2022 and illegally sentenced to almost 7 years in prison. Iryna Danylovych is a nurse and citizen journalist.
She was threatened, blackmailed and forced to confess to things she did not do. Now Irina is in a Russian colony, her health is deteriorating due to the lack of quality and timely medical care.
Iryna Danylovych worked as a nurse at the Malachite rehabilitation center in Koktebel, maintained a social media page and several blog columns on the rights of healthcare workers and healthcare issues in the occupied Crimea.
The occupation forces abducted Iryna Danylovych in April 2022. She was returning from a night shift at the hospital when the occupiers searched her house and seized all her appliances, several books and documents.
There was no contact with Irina for more than a week. She was illegally detained by the FSB: she was subjected to psychological pressure, beaten, threatened with death, interrogated on a polygraph, threatened to be "taken to the forest" (ed. - meaning killed and buried in the forest) or "to Mariupol" (once again, killed), fed once a day, and not allowed to go to the restroom.
Eventually, the occupiers informed her relatives that a decision had been made to place her under "administrative arrest", allegedly because "she had transferred unclassified materials to another country". Later, they fabricated a "case" against Irina accusing her of "illegal actions with explosives."
The "proof" was the "discovery" of 200 grams of explosives in Irina's bag. And only on May 11, the lawyer managed to establish that she was in the occupation pre-trial detention center in Simferopol.
The "arrest warrant" was issued by the occupation "court" during a closed court session - without the participation of listeners, journalists, or Irina's relatives.
But the real reason for the detention is different. For covering the problems of the healthcare system, the crimes of the occupiers, as well as for protecting and promoting the rights of healthcare workers in the occupied Crimea.
Iryna was one of the first correspondents of the Crimean Process; she supported Crimean Tatar activists in the "courts"; prepared materials for the editorial office of Inzhyr Media; supported medical activists, recorded violations of rights under occupation.
According to Irina, she was kidnapped, taken to Simferopol and illegally detained in a basement, tortured and starved, and forced to sign a confession under threat of death, having been viciously planted with explosives after the "confession" had been forcibly extracted.
Complete hearing loss in the left ear, deprivation of necessary medications, suffering from headaches and earaches. This is what Iryna is going through now.
Irina was transferred to the Krasnodar Women's Correctional Colony No. 7 in Zelenokumsk. Every day, Irina's health condition deteriorated: in the occupation prisons, she gradually lost hearing in her left ear, developed otitis media, constant headaches and dizziness.
Back in July 2022, the political prisoner reported being beaten by an FSB convoy and psychological pressure exerted on her by Russian security forces. The occupiers also took away the opportunity to read, not returning the collection of poems.
To get medical help, she went on a hunger strike, but stopped it after 10 days, believing the promises of the SIZO administration, but no one has treated her and is not going to, watching the prisoner's health deteriorate.
According to her father, the colony allocates 90 minutes for the distribution of medicines twice a week: on Tuesday and Thursday. During this time, only 20-30 people out of a queue of several hundred prisoners manage to receive them.
"There are periodic fights among the patients for the opportunity to be in the front of the line and receive medicines. Iryna does not participate in this and has been deprived of access to the medicines prescribed by doctors, which we regularly send in parcels, for several months now," her father said.
Despite the illegal actions, torture and pressure, the occupiers failed to break the Ukrainian journalist, she continues to support Ukraine and believe that she will soon return home. "Only in such a strong Ukraine could such a strong you be born," said Iryna's father Bronislav.
Even behind bars, Iryna Danylovych continues to resist the occupiers and support Ukraine. The song "I am free!" performed by her is a symbol of disobedience and struggle, which the occupiers do not like, and the tattoo on her body that reads "Freedom is our religion" is her life's credo.
#human rights#ukraine#russia#journalist#crimea#war in ukraine#you know a woman being kidnapped and tortured as a punishment for speaking up about issues in the healthcare system#sounds like exactly something western leftists would be supporsed to care about#but alas our agressor is russia and they are allowed to do that because dostaevsky and chaikovsky#and one can't twist this story to somehow make it about usa#very sad

What are Optimal Character Recognition (OCR) Services?
OCR Outsourcing Services
Optical Character Recognition is a technology and resource that converts various types of documents—such as scanned and printed paper documents and sheets, PDFs, or images and physical documents captured and scanned by a digital camera or device—into editable and searchable data of information. OCR Outsourcing refers to hiring third-party experts to handle these processes, making data management more efficient and cost-effective for businesses.
How Do OCR Services Work?
OCR technology scans printed or handwritten text and translates it into digital characters using pattern recognition and machine learning. Once the data is converted, it can be edited, searched, and stored electronically. This is especially useful and beneficial for the businesses that manage and hold a high volume of paper records or image-based files as raw source data.
Key Benefits of OCR Outsourcing -
Faster Data Processing:
By outsourcing OCR services, businesses can process large volumes of data significantly faster than they can do in-house. Professional experts leverage tools and advanced resources and employ trained professionals to assure the prompt turnaround times and processing for faster data proceedings and operations.
Improved Accuracy:
High-quality OCR Outsourcing providers use AI-driven tools and resources that minimize and lower down the errors. As this guarantees that the captured data is examined up to as precise as possible, lowering the demand for manual corrections and errors.
Cost Efficiency:
Maintaining and leveraging in-house source OCR setup can be expensive and costly. As the outsourcing eliminates the demand for costly software and system, infrastructure, and specialized staff, offering a more affordable option for ongoing needs and business demands.
Better Data Organization:
OCR Outsourcing makes it easier to store and retrieve data as scanned documents become searchable. While this is quite helpful and considerable for industries such as healthcare, law, finance, and logistics.
Scalability:
Whether you need to process a few documents or thousands, outsourcing partners can scale their services to match your demand without affecting quality or delivery speed. Companies and professional experts such as Suma Soft, IBM, Cyntexa, and Cignex are known for offering reliable OCR Outsourcing services. They aid businesses to simplify the data capture process, lower down the workload, and improve the operational efficiency by handling document digitization with precision and care. Choosing a trusted partner ensures high-quality results and seamless data management. They combine technology, skilled teams, and secure processes to deliver high-quality OCR results tailored and personalized as per the settings of different industries and business sizes.

Hi tumblr, I'm new. I will keep this vague as violence is sometimes the answer and I need a way to vent.
Here's my introduction:
I'm a documented polish immigrant in my early 20's seeking ways to fight back against the current political state of America. I'm a green card holder, it's expiring in a few years. I did not move to America by choice, my mother married an American man when I was a teenager and forced us to move here. I'm queer and my mother (lived through communist Polish oppression) isn't a fan of that. I'm very active in my city via going to protests and organizing in any way I can, though I've had someone call ICE anonymously on me before for "terrorism". I'm trying not to fully descend into madness; I'm failing. I can't afford to go back to Poland and even if I could, I'd be seen as an American by this point. Though I am still fluent in the language.
I'm in poverty, I have no healthcare as I can't hold a job when my car breaks down all the time. I do not get any government assistance nor do I get money or food from my parents. They live on the other side of America and I don't. I am so fucking angry all the time. I'm furious at the world, I wouldn't harm anybody but I wish I could. Lucky for government officials, I have terrible aim.
I'm pro Palestine and Ukraine, I study geopolitics and philosophy. Obviously I'm pro women's rights, gay rights, black lives matter. I'm also informed on the nuclear threats around Kashmir right now as I have a very close friend in northern India.
Someone help me please. Resources to likeminded people, "third culture kids" in America right now, socialists, Slavs. Just anyone. I feel so isolated.
PL TRANSLATION:
Cześć Tumblr, jestem nowy. Będę mówić ogólnikowo — przemoc czasem jest odpowiedzią, a ja potrzebuję się gdzieś wygadać.
Oto moje przedstawienie się:
Jestem udokumentowanym imigrantem z Polski, mam trochę ponad 20 lat i szukam sposobów, żeby stawić opór obecnej sytuacji politycznej w Stanach.
Jestem pro-Palestyna i pro-Ukraina. Studiuję geopolitykę i filozofię. Oczywiście popieram prawa kobiet, osób LGBT, BLM. Śledzę też napięcia nuklearne w kaszmirze a mam bardzo bliskiego przyjaciela w północnych Indiach.
Prosze pomóżcie mi. Szukam kontaktu z ludźmi, którzy myślą podobnie — „dzieci trzeciej kultury” w USA, socjaliści, Słowianie, ktokolwiek. Czuję się strasznie samotny.
