I am kinda new to the supernatural fandom (i saw the show but don't interacted much with the fandom) - and i just have a few questions if you don't mind. So, were do i even start? I knew that shipping is always a part of any fandom. And i don't mind this.. i mean this is what fanfiction is for. But i am know kinda disturbed from the whole D/C... some of these people a extremly obsessive with this ship. In a really unhealthy and toxic way. Why do so many people ship this?? Like were is the chemistry, hell were are even all this moments they are talking about?! The reason why i am writing this whole long ass question (which turned out to be a rant - i'm so sorry for this) is.. i saw this video on youtube (some dest*el stuff) from the "official" spn channel and do you know if this is is even a real channel.. it has soo less follower and since this *ship* is not even close to be canon, why post then such a video? Like i said, i am new maybe i am missing some parts... but some of the few stuff i saw was that it was always clear that this ship is nowhere near canon.. so first the podcast of these extras and now the yt video on the channel... it kinda makes me sad that soo many people are always are talking about this weird ship.. and not about the beautiful relationship between the brothers.

Apologize not, dear anon! I’m more than happy to explain from my point of view.

First, know that you are not the only one, and in fact, Destiel (the diehard Hellers that is) is in the minority as far as fandom goes. They’re loud and they’re in echo chambers that occasionally escape containment and they rightly so get ridiculed and taken to task for… but I digress. They are small. They’ve made the whole show, in their minds, about this one Totally Canon Ship™️ that For Real Happened On God when… neither of those things are true.

We could try and get to the why of it, but I’m not too sure there is one definitive answer to that. They’re cry babies who think, essentially, TV shows have to cater to them because they said so.

Supernatural was never about and never will be about a “gay” angel and a “bi” hunter who are Totally Forreal Husbands Look At The (non existent) Subtext™️. The channel I’m sure was being run by a runaway heller. Go ahead and check the view counts on those videos by the way… minimal. That’s AFTER Destihellers tried to use their “influence” to get those numbers up. It’s hilarious how often they are absolutely destroyed over their delusions. It never gets better for them and never will. No matter how loud, how much they tout the “we have 1 millions fics on AO3!”, or how insistent they get with their gay lighting theories, Dean dances with a lamp which is a stand in for Casshole, etc…. They’re grasping at straws and have nothing to show for it. They are but to be pitied dear anon.

Am I any better being as I ship wincest? Yes, because wincest will never be canon, and I’m okay with that, but it’s still more canon than Destiel being as it was a American gothic horror show and one of the main themes in that genre is… fucked up family dynamics/incest.

so he get home to his apartment and look at it does some work taxes you know and fall asleep and he has this weird dream about that time in the train where atlas found and saved him but atlas isn’t there it some weird cat dressed like one of the savoys congregation members

he introduced him self as the grand zombi and he interacted in him since he found the idol and tell him there lot divine beings both holy and unholy interested in him but he has a deal Mordecai of course is dismissing of this strange and annoying dream as the train setting slowly changes into more dark and a large fire as the grand zombi tell him he know who off atlas and tell Mordecai something he didn’t know that seem very true (i don’t what )

but of course Mordecai doesn’t believe this and just want this “savoylike”” dream to end and the grand zombi offer a deal take some of his power for a week and see what he see so Mordecai accepted as the drums get louder and that morning he awaked

try to find his glasses and then his now living shadow hand him them and goes “thank you ……..” cues the screaming

Do we think he realizes how he riles up his followers and how vicious they can be towards Jensen when he doesn’t play along?

Of course he does, he simply doesn’t care. If he did he would have stood up every time his fans accused Jensen of being homophobic when he spoke about not playing Dean as a gay or bisexual character. He’s not a good person nor is he a good so called friend.

I’m so disappointed he’s going to be on The Boys, why should those fans be subjected to the Hellers. I know Kripke likes chaos but Jesus this sucks.

Jensen re Dean/Castiel “Resolution”

So, this is the transcript of Jensen’s answer to the question about the need for “resolution” regarding Dean and Castiel. The person who wrote it based it off of an audio recording, and people who I know and trust (who were at PurCon) corroborated that it is accurate.

Things that stand out to me from reading this:

1) Jensen is chosing his words carefully, and is probably stressed about answering this question (given all the stammers and stopes and starts in what he’s saying).

2) His general stance on this scenes (and the Dean-Cass relationship) hasn’t changed. For him (and he’s the one who matters most here), Dean cares about Castiel, sees him as a brother in arms, a friend and an ally, and one of the people he’s closest to (we know Sam is the closest).

3) Jensen doesn’t actually say Castiel is “in love” with Dean, which makes me think of what he mentioned in … Denver (?) at the first con back since the show ended. Jensen expressed that he wasn’t sure angels love in the same way people do, so he didn’t think it had to be interpreted as romantic. Which I agree with, BTW. Even if his stance on angels not having the same type of love as people chsges, it still rings the most true for me.

4) When Jensen mentions “subtext” in the transcript, it’s because someone in the audience shouted it out (as hellers always do). When he says it’s text, not subtext, I think he means that there isn’t more going on in the scene than what we see (not that a romantic relationship is text as some hellers are trying to interpret it). Castiel states his love and gratitude, Dean absorbs that. Dean is sad that his friend, who loved him a lot, died (being sucked into the empty by black goo). That’s it.

5) If there is a revival, and if we see Dean and Castiel together again, there will be nothing to address. Dean accepts what Castiel told him. Dean is not in love with Catiel, so their relationship will not change. Thus, there is nothing to address. Nothing changes.

I don’t know how many times Jensen can say the same thing before hellers get it through their thick skulls: Dean cared dearly about Castiel because they are friends, family, allies, brothers in arms. But his is NOT in love with him. It’s really not that hard of a concept to grasp.

Honestly, IMHO, you have to not want to understand what Jensen is saying here to think he’s in any way hinting at some Dean/Cas relationship in a potential revival (or whatever). The fact that he says there is “not anything to resolve” honestly says it all. Also, I think he’s being more generous about that “confession” scene than it deserves, but that’s beside the point.

Trying to turn Red Meat into a d*stiel episode really just proves to me that a lot of these people want to ship Wincest so bad. This episode is so impactful and Dean's pain and dependency on Sam are so delicious, the ending bit about "losing the man I love" with Dean looking haunted is so clearly Dean coming to terms with almost losing Sam, and not only that but realizing that any death Sam experiences from here on will be permanent. Dean has lost control. And if there's anything Dean hates, it's losing control, especially when his baby brother is involved. Dean is teetering on the edge this entire episode and it's incredible to watch. And it's because of Sam. Like it always is.

thoughts about melanie martinez as an ex fan of hers.

i feel sick for supporting an (alleged) rapist.

but if a guy who states 'She never said no' to an alleged victim, the general public would regard him as a rapist. because men in power deny rape and sexual assault allegations all the time.

even though statistically men commit a vast majority of sexual assault, rape and abuse crimes as a radfem , i feel inclined to speak up for female victims who have been assaulted by other women.

i was in 8th grade when i listened to my first melanie martinez song. back then i didn't care too much about women's rights (as many pre teens do...) I just wanted music to listen to while i imagined my original characters in animated music videos depicting their childhood. her album crybaby helped me visualize (a rather crappy) storyboard that followed the lyrics to songs such as 'dollhouse' or 'playdate' . a friend recommended that i listen to her more , so i did . i listened to her albums k-12 and crybaby.

my friends and i would share melanie martinez songs with one another as a way to explain our trauma from our family lives, school, homework, life in general and i would make vent playlists using her songs . i had two original characters who were based off of the songs playdate and high school sweethearts respectively. i've had numerous friends look me straight in the eye and scoff: "you look like you would listen to melanie martinez'

and they were right. i did.

i loved martinez's work. codeword: loved i took great comfort in all her songs. i played it while i was learning to drive. i used it as background noise while drawing. i would stay up late listening to her songs, getting sucked into the rabbit hole of music that her albums were. i had fanfiction with titles of lyrics. i had 2 releases and 36 songs in my liked playlist

i told my mother about her while we were spending time together. i obviously didn't expect her to enjoy martinez's music because of our different tastes, but i hoped she would at least be open to listening me talk about her. and then she reveals to me that melanie martinez raped her best friend, timothy heller.

being a martinez fan, i immediately rejected the statement that martinez assaulted heller. i argued that nothing was ever proven in court and timothy was lying for attention and had accused other singers of assault- like billie ellish.

i continued to hold onto a neutral opinion on the allegations . i really didn't want to believe the artist i connected with so deeply could hurt someone that bad. melanie is famous so obviously people are going to want to tear her down and try to take the spotlight from her!

that was until i actually started to listen to timothy. i was recommended a video on youtube and decided to listen. timothy is very intelligent and eloquently spoken and she debunked lies about her, spoke about how coming out affected the jobs she had, where she hid, the harassment that she faced, and how difficult it was for her to compile evidence and remember. ...And then compared to shallow 'non apology' melanie posted with the exact words: "she never said no" i felt slowly inclined to believe timothy. she has my full support and i stopped listening to her.

it seemed like melanie never recieved backlash. she just changed her crybaby persona to the weird bug thing she has going on now and moved on.

unfortunately only timothy and melanie know the truth about their relationship. i can't put in my own two cents

i feel disgusted. betrayed that i didn't believe earlier. that i loved this woman and held onto her songs since it comforted me. now when i listen i just get an ick . her singing feels so condescending and i feel like she 's mocking and looking down on me. and yes , it 's me being nitpicky but i never enjoyed how often she used the curse 'fuck' in her songs . it 's very childish , but i 'm allowed to criticize a rapist .

In my 12+ years on tumblr, I (if not ALL wincest shippers) have NEVER sent an ask to a non-shipper wanting to know WHY they don't ship wincest. We actually believe in 'ship and let ship (or not ship)', YET hellers think it's a cardinal sin to not only NOT ship destiel, but to be ANTI that crap ass ship. Ha! Indeed. As though it was a crime to not see Destiel! Or not see Dean as “bi” (he’s not, stated numerous times he loves the ladies and doesn’t swing that way).

Now, that’s not to say there aren’t benign Destiel fans! I honestly don’t care if they ship Destiel as long as it’s with the knowledge that it’s not canon, that it’s headfanon. As long as they don’t go chasing everyone and insisting it’s valid, or accusing folks of being homophobic for denying that it exists.

But so far, all the Wincesties I’ve met? They aren’t chasing me down to accept it as valid! I don’t ship either, but I can see where the wincest comes from!

But when I try to answer what seemed to be a genuine question, suddenly I’m accused of being homophobic (again) for denying Destiel, for being a Wincestie (I’m not), or making shit up for having valid reasons to dislike Misha.

the two final episodes were a disaster  I love this little show so much that not even the finale could ruin it for me. The ending sucked, but the way I see it, destiel is canon and Dean and Cas will have an eternity to dance around each other in heaven (even if that didn’t do justice to their characters).  I love finale denying hellers. They have to be the saddest, most pathetic of all beings on Earth. 🤣🤣

I find comfort in the fact that the ending sucked not just for Dean and Cas, but for almost every character.  LMAO, Sam who? Or is he considered "every character"?
