This is my backstory for the background character Esme from Helluva Boss. If you dislike it, do not interact. She was born to poor Hellhound family in Pride, the runtiest of the large litter on October 14. Thinking the sickly pup wouldn't survive, she was given to a 'Hellhound Adoption Center.' Regardless of the circumstances and poor medical care provided, she survived, however, lost her vision. When she was twelve, she was 'adopted' sold to a sinner named Rudolpho, whom ran an underground drug business. She was originally a basic servant to Rudolpho's youngest daughter, until he began to notice her impeccable sense of smell and overall heightened senses, despite her blindness. He got her involved in drug work, sniffing out goods and doing spy work. He was a poor owner, forcing her to participate and even attempting to make her an 'attack dog', to which she was beat whenever she refused. One day Rudolpho was shot on the job. Esme, whom was fourteen at the time, ran away after anonymously calling his wife, informing her of the death. She managed to get employment in Cannibal Town in a florist shop before gaining momentum for her dream job of being a fashion designer, and maybe one day, a model. The kindly cannibal woman, Kelly, even allowed Esme to stay in her home. Kelly offered Esme co-partnership of the shop once she reached sixteen, but Esme opted out and decided it was time to leave Cannibal Town. Kelly supported her, and at nineteen she left. Write now she works for Hell Times as a traveling journalist and fashion critic. Birthday;; October 14

Hi everyone! I had a few people reaching out today about Esme's design. I wanted to let you all know that the image you see as my pfp was a commission done by @blushedseraph

Before this commission, I struggled with bringing Esme out of my mind and into an art design that I felt reflected her. I always knew how she looked, the energy I wanted her to convey, but I can't draw. I relied on Microsoft Ai to describe what I already had in my mind. I was happy with her original siren form using that, but still struggled imagining her in Hazbin since it was not the right art style.

@blushedseraph worked super hard on making sure I was kept updated every step of the way. They really focused on the details that I wanted to bring to life for Esme.

I'm so happy that she doesn't just live in my head now LOL and that you all get to see what I was trying to describe from the beginning ����
