So we all understand that Stolas, however unintentionally, validated EVERY LAST ONE of Octavia's fears this episode?

And that when Octavia tells Stolas "You never loved momma and you don't love me! You love him!" next episode, she has every reason to believe that?

This is one of the big reasons I think it might actually take Loona to reach out to Octavia, as I'm not really seeing ANYTHING Stolas could say or do to get Via to not hate him at this point. And that Loona doesn't so much convince Octavia to 'forgive' her father or 'give him another chance', but rather simply to not burn that bridge between them.

We all know that Blitzø was raised in the circus business, and that he was a clown for a long time before founding I.M.P. There's a specific memory from his preformative past that I've been looking forward to seeing a flashback to. This is all just my theory, but there has been many evidences throughout the show so far.

First, in the pilot episode, we see in Blitz's office that there is a framed poster on the wall:

It's an advertisement for a "1 night only" show at the big top featuring "The Incredible Blitzo!"

The fact that this poster solely mentions Blitz, when Fizzarolli was always Buckzo's shining star must mean something. Not to mention that the design of Blitz's profile is when he is older, from my guess when he was an older teenager or young adult.

Then in episode 6 of season 1, "Truth Seekers," we see a cartoonish character in the image of Fizzarolli taunting Blitz during his bad trip, who seemingly makes reference to this same night.

Subconscious Fizz: "You tried a solo-act, It didn't work out so well!"

Though, Fizz could just as easily have been referring to when Blitz attempted to impress the audience with his horse balloon trick when he was a kid, which we see in episode 1 of season 2: "The Circus."

We watch baby Blitzo struggling to form a balloon animal. When he finally manages something that looks like a horse (but is lacking legs), the audience remains silent, which greatly discourages him.

We should also remember what Robo-Fizz said to Blitz in season 1, episode 3: "Loo Loo Land."

Blitz: "The 'O' is silent now."

Robo-Fizz: "A-A-Aww, just like your audience always was when you to-told your lazy jokes here."

Basically, Blitz hasn't had a lot of luck in the spotlight. His audience is unimpressed time and time again.

What I'm theorizing is that Blitz had wanted to shoot his shot at preforming on his own, possibly preparing all of these great tricks and jokes, only to be completely shut down when the audience didn't find him entertaining.

As the show goes on, I guess we'll see if we get anymore flashbacks to Blitzø's past. We most likely will, seeing as the most recent episode featured Blitz and Fizz when they were younger.

and

"Octavia isn't wrong for feeling betrayed by her father and fearing she's been only an obligation to him"

are two concepts that can and should coexist.

I don't know what is more precious, that moxxie made cookies based on blitzø's scribbles of them as horses, or that he made one to include stolas because he's family too.

I love how Blitz completely melts into this kiss...

But he still has enough self-awareness to make this impressive landing.

The fact that Blitz purposely takes the brunt of the fall, and still manages to cradle Stolas in his arms using only one hand, while the other carries a sword- impressive.

Like Blitz makes sure to carry Stolas in a way that guarantees he doesn't feel the impact or the rough landing.

The funny thing is Stolas was bracing himself for impact, only to be left surprised to have not felt a thing.

It's moments like these that really remind me that, yeah, Blitz is a professional at what he does. He may be an idiot, but his protective instincts are always on point. Goddamn.

Love that Blitzø spent his morning just piling stuffed horses on top of Stolas while he was sleeping.

I'm sure it was a way to try and comfort him. His plushies make him happy, so maybe they'd help Stolas feel better too.

Thinking about how Stolas clearly didn't mean his statement of it 'not being an imp's place to protect a Goetia' and was instead being sarcastic to provoke a response from Blitzo.

Which would make it all too appropriately ironic if that statement wound up being prophetic.

At least as far as Blitzo is concerned.

Queer secondary adolescence and Stolas

(I keep forgetting to put this up here)

Ok, so Stolas being teen dad is one of the reasons I get annoyed when people say he's too horny with Blitz. Or that his relationship is too dramatic and teenager-y.

He's a queer guy who never got to be a teenager, didn't get to have a first boyfriend, or explore who he was. Or do any of the normal stuff most straight teenagers get to do.

His family stuffed him in the closet, forced him to have child, and gave him an abusive wife as jailer.

(He around 36, with a 17 year old daughter. 36−17=19 when Octavia was born. Likely married at 18).

He's got some chatting up to do.

Up till now his whole life's been about Via, and mitigating Stella's abuse to hid it from Via.

That's left him barely hanging on, taking an increasing amount of antidepressants; and singing lullabies about not being sure he'll make it till Via's grown up.... 🙁

There's this thing called second adolescence that alot of queer people experience, when they come out later in life.

It happens when they're weren't allowed to do normal teenage things at the right age. So things like having crushes, go on first dates, have extremely anxious dramatic relationships. As well just be a normal horny teenager.

Stolas got to do none of that. So he's doing it now.

He's also pretty obviously an autistic guy (separate post ), who didn't get well socialized as a child.

Blitz appears to have been his first and only really friend.

Stolas is not great at social cues. (He's so happy to be able to help with his special interest, but does realise his tone is upsetting Ozzie).

Even with Via he struggles to understand her. She needs to tell her dad flat out what she needs.

When she tries to be subtle, and snark he assumes it's just her being a moody teen. And that she'll enjoy loo loo land when she loosen up a bit.

Because of this lack Stolas mostly fills in gaps in his social experience with masking.

Following Blitz's lead of what to do in an uncomfortable situation.

And trying to match the energy of how Blitz first came on to him.

(He's definitely getting better at it from Blitz reaction).

There's also an idea in CBT called reparenting your inner child. Which about giving yourself some the support, and experiences you missed out on because of abuse.

Stolas needs to go through his secondary adolescence as part of his recovery from his abuse.

So let Stolas be a little horny weirdo. 😛

I lowkey find it hilarious that people were talking about how Stolas moved on from Blitz...

To be with one of these guys...

Only for Stolas' love for Blitz to be so goddamn strong he was willing to lose his own life to save him.

And he did this fully thinking that his romantic feelings weren't being reciprocated.

Stolas, really and truly meant it...

Even after one whole month of being apart and being away from Blitz, he still couldn't forget about him, couldn't get over him, couldn't come to hate and demonize him.

Despite Blitz breaking his heart in the most cruelest and stupidest way possible...

Despite all the shit Blitz spewed at him in the beginning of Apology Tour...

He could never forget the little clown boy that he spent the day with...

He could never forget the imp assassin that reinvigorated his life...

He could never forget all their stupidly fun times together...

To Stolas, it was Blitz, and it was always going to be Blitz

... and I find that so romantically tragic and endearing.
