A little something cause I can’t sleep. The loml toji, pure affection and admiration ♡

Thinking about toji and how drunk he is on his love for you. The blood pumping into his heart turns into an intoxicant, and he’s addicted. It spreads through his veins, filling every capillary and scar. He’s dizzy with the weight of it all.

He looks down at you pretty face resting on his chest. You’re so vulnerable like this. Your delicate inhales and warm exhales that create a warm spot right under his collarbone. He finds himself a little jealous of the oxygen you breathe, wants to become it so he can become one with you, as close as possible because holding you in his arms like this isn’t enough.

He feels that he should never sleep again to keep you safe from harm. To make sure you’re never alone.

His eyes trail over your face when you take in a sudden deep inhale, a tiny noise with your exhale. He takes in whatever he can from this angle, your soft lashes and perfect brows, the apples of your cheeks a little red from the combined body heat, the bridge of your nose and how it curves to create your perfect portrait. And your hair. He tilts his chin to your forehead to inhale the scent, eyes slowly shutting as he walks through the gardens of heavens itself. Your strands feel like clouds on tip of his nose. It’s not the products you use, it’s you. You’re beautiful—no, you are beauty itself. Everything you touch transforms and blooms, he experiences everything all over again with you.

He’ll pay whatever prices to stay like this forever and feel the warmth of your soft, supple flesh moulding against his fingertips, your legs wrapped into his own.

The drowsiness gets to him, he doses off wondering what you’re dreaming of. Maybe if he tries hard enough, he can join you in whatever realm you’re in. Perhaps in that realm it would be possible, just a little bit easier, for him to tell you how much he loves you. Cause god knows, he could learn every language ever spoken, still he wouldn’t be able to show you how much of you there is in his heart.

a little underappreciated detail about mirabel is how it’s likely she has an interest in horse riding! the only basis I have for this is a small scene in the movie but I love the implication of this being one of her hobbies!

we see how bruno approaches mirabel & alma on horseback but he’s uncoordinated and struggling (poor guy lmao) whilst this could be due to being in the walls for a decade I also think it’s because he doesn’t actually know much about horse riding as he’s never had an interest in it!

now compare this to mirabel who seems to know EXACTLY what she’s doing, she’s cool calm and collected and it almost comes naturally to her! I believe this is because she actually has an interest in horse riding! we already know she has many hobbies so I don’t think it’s far fetched to speculate this is another one!

also take in mind she is riding bare back here! notice how Bruno appears nervous (and is the whole ride back to the encanto) but alma is smiling she’s fully confident I believe this is because mirabels done this many times before!

also the way she does this jump so effortlessly!? and riding bareback is way harder too! Usually only experienced riders do this! so I think the fact mirabel 1. Isnt nervous at all about this and 2. alma isn’t nervous at all implies she’s experienced in some way

she just seems like she really knows what she’s doing and the horse doesn’t seem uncomfortable either! so yeah this is my mirabel is a horse rider theory!

"Winter Coat"

People like Mira don't have an upper limit for hair growth. Pretty impractical most of the time, except when you're traveling in the cold, provided you don't mind the mess.

Last painting of 2023. This was intended to be a quick winter piece, but I couldn't help myself and it ended up becoming a lot more. It's also been a while since I painted snow, so that was a nice change of pace from my usual.
