dustin is staying over at lucas’ for a sleepover. it was a fun time with them playing D&D but, soon it was time for bed, lucas’ parents made sure of it. they didn’t have any sleeping bags so dustin and lucas had to sleep in the same bed. ;)(no freaky stuff)

lucas fell asleep soon after his parents came to say goodnight. dustin laid awake looking at lucas’ facial features whispering ‘i really want to kiss him….’ he contemplated little for a while and then decided to go with it. but, at the last minute he decided not to. little did he know, lucas woke up earlier to hear dustin talking to himself and didn’t know when to open his eyes so, he just pretended to still be asleep. “if you won’t do it, i will” lucas suddenly said, startling dustin who said “w-what?” lucas opened his eyes and said “this.”

he leaned in to kiss dustin, who happily allowed him to kiss him. they stayed like that for what seemed forever then, dustin broke apart the kiss whispering very softly “that was amazing.” lucas started to smile saying “yea, it was, wanna do it again?” dustin chuckled at lucas’ need to kiss him again but replied back “yes, lucas” smiling to show his pearls(😭) so, he leaned it again and kiss him more passionately this time.

after that kiss, they started to cuddle in comfortable silence. dustin broke that silence “what does this make us?” he whispered into lucas’ chest. “boyfriends if you like that..” lucas whispers back. “i’d like that.” dustin says quietly. “me too.” lucas replies with a kiss to dustin’s forehead. “goodnight, dusty-bun.” :) dustin rolls his eyes at that but replies back “goodnight, my wonderful boyfriend” with a hint of scorn in his voice.

lucas grinned and chuckled at his boyfriend’s snarky remark. he started to play with dustin’s curls while he(dustin) was this close to falling asleep on lucas’ chest. they both soon fell asleep with erica passing by and awwing at the sight after making sure her parents weren’t around and slowly closed the door to not wake the sleeping couple up.

Mileven (Mike x Eleven): solid 8/10. I think they're cute in the 1st season and they have their moments, but their chemistry is definitely feeling more forced recently and I just don't see them working out.

Byler (Will x Mike): definitely a 10/10, it just makes sense. Byler proof is so thick and it's so obvious to anyone who actually cares to look. I'm not a hardcore shipper or anything but they're happening.

Willel (Will x Eleven): get this shit out of here bro, -10/10. Like Will is gay and they're practically siblings 😭

Wheelson (Dustin x Mike): there's nothing wrong with this ship, I just don't see it and I haven't seen enough content to base my opinion off of that so 0/10.

Wheelclair (Mike x Lucas): again, just don't see it and haven't seen enough content. So 0/10, however, I feel like their dynamic could be cute in both a romantic and platonic sense.

Byclair (Will x Lucas): I don't see it ever happening but oh my lord y'all the fan art and content for them is so cute so they get a solid 3/10 purely for the cuteness.

Byson (Will x Dustin): I've never seen any content for this. Like at all. I don't think anyone ships this. 0/10 only because I haven't seen anything to make me want to ship this.

Henclair (Lucas x Dustin): y'all... they're so cute. Here me out, the fics, the fan art, the dynamics, it's amazing. They get a 5/10.

Lumax (Lucas x Max): 10/10, angel babies, would die for them. I need them to have a happy ending and if they don't, I won't have a happy ending

Elmax (Eleven x Max): they're so stinking cute, 9/10. As much as I love lumax, I think the dynamics of this ship and just the thought of it is perfection.

Madwheeler (Max x Mike): eh...no. 0/10. They are like the same person and would kill each other in any other scenario. However, platonically? Yes please!

Henfield (Max x Dustin): 4/10. They have potential but they both have such better ships.

Duzie (Dustin x Suzie): 9/10. I am a SUCKER for nerd x nerd ships and I need them to have at least one scene together. Just one. Like please duffers, I need to see them just once.

Jancy (Jonathan x Nancy): 1000/10 YES YES YES YES. MY BABIES, I LOVE THEM SO MUCH. PLEASE DUFFERS, MAKE UP ALL THAT FUCKERY IN S4 AND GIVE THEM A HAPPY ENDING!!

Stancy aka Stanky (Steve x Nancy): -10/10. I hate this ship so much. Nancy "I don't think my parents ever loved each other. My mom was younger and my dad was older with a cushy job and made good money. So they got married and bought a house at the end of a cul-de-sac and started their nuclear family" Wheeler would EVER settle down with 6 kids. Ever. There was 0 reason to bring back the love triangle. Let Steve move on and let Nancy be happy, Jesus 😭

Ronance (Nancy x Robin): 100/10. There's a reason this page is called ronancecats. I love them so much and even though they will never happen, it's fun to think about. Every piece of ronance fan art is gorgeous and the fics are everything to me. Plus, Natalia is like the president of the ronance shipping club. "All hail Natalia Dyer," we all say in unison.

Rockie/Rovickie (Robin x Vickie): 6/10. They're cute but they literally made Vickie an exact carbon copy of Robin and it's boring. I really hope they build on Vickie's character next season because they are boring and lack depth.

Stobin (Steve x Robin): absolutely not. Get out. -100000000/10. Robin. Is. A. Lesbian. She. Likes. Boobies. Not. Greasy. Men. They. Are. Platonic. Soulmates.

Steddie (Steve x Eddie): 4/10. Their fan art is cool and the dynamic I like, but I just can't get past it. I don't like them all that much.

Harringgrove (Steve x Billy): no thank you, no toxic ships here. 0/10.

Stonathan (Jonathan x Steve): hell yes. 9/10. I'm not even sure why but they are just perfect in my mind. The dynamics are there and the fan art is perfection, plus I just think the idea of them fighting over Nancy but then turning to each other is kinda cute.

Jargyle (Jonathan x Argyle) 8/10. I don't think about them much but whenever I do I love it. They're idiots but two idiots that are better together idk about y'all.

Neddie (Nancy x Eddie): Eddie can NOT handle all that (but I can) 0/10.

Reddie (Robin x Eddie): 0/10. Both these bitches are gay so get out.

Hellcheer (Eddie x Chrissy): gives me the ick. I'm not ever sure why but they do and all their scenes just feel like there's no romantic undertones, at least to me. So 2/10.

Buckingham (Chrissy x Robin): this is what I'm talking about. A popular cheerleader having an existential crisis when she realizes she's a lesbian and not only that but realizes she's in love with the social outcast? Hell yes. 9/10. Give it to me.

Bancy (Nancy x Barb): 6/10. They are tragic.

Jopper (Joyce x Hopper): 10/10. My parents fr, they raised me. Everything about them makes me happy and I love them.

Boyce (Bob x Joyce): 7/10. Cuties and it's so obvious Bob cared about her and the kids. Jopper will forever be better but I can't ignore their cuteness.

Jaren (Joyce x Karen): okay y'all, hear me out...8/10. I love the idea of this so much and every single fic I've read is so well written and incredible. Lesbian Karen Wheeler truthers unite.

Murlexi (Murray x Alexi) 7/10. I like the idea of them and I will support any content I see of them even though I'm not a hardcore shipper.

Murray x Joyce (what are they called?): 0/10. Nope, nope, nope on a rope.

um. Actually i'm not the biggest shipper but. Elumax is also certianly something. Byclair has a special place in my heart :) Jargyle is silly and i love it for that <3 I like to imagine there was a little Murrlexi during the downtime between episodes :) Henclair is so real to me you have no idea

publishing house byler au:

it's writer / author mike of course, with book cover designer / book illustrator will

will is actually new to the publishing house and was recommended to take up on the spot that was just left by the older book cover designer

the previous person left bc they got a better offer from another place

will was recommended by el, who is an author at the same publishing house

el writes mostly romance and has 10 books published (275-380 pages)

she is currently working on a psychological horror and wants to try poetry eventually

the way her recommendation went through is because she also works in human resources there

they are siblings of course <3

while will has no background in working for publishing houses, he did sketch stuff for el's books for fun before

but he is, indeed, asked to submit some book covers he would have done for some of the books published by the agency, based just on some of the excerpts and the current covers

he passes btw because he's amazing

back on mike, he's a fantasy writer and has an on-going fantasy series

3 novels (450-600 pages) are already out and he is working on the fourth

he also dabbled in writing mystery (murder mystery, paranormal mystery) and a bit of horror

he has a few short books (150-200 pages) with those genres published; more exactly like 5

he mostly works on these shorter books when he had enough of writing for his fantasy series

he also wants to try sci-fi at some point

btw mike also works within the agency, he's a translator as well!

he translates books from spanish and french to english

he also knows a few spanish 'dialects' (let's call them that) that are spoken and used in certain areas, so he can translate books from those locations as well

max is mike's editor and part of the publishing house crew, of course

she's always on mike's ass to write at least 1k words per day, even if those words suck

i wish i had someone like max in my life

btw she has a crush on el but you didn't hear that from me

dustin works mostly in the marketing / pr department, but he also is an editor if the house needs it

lucas is an agent, which looks through the queries, description / prompts, manuscripts, etc and decides which authors could have a chance and what books look interesting and so on. he basically decides what could get greenlit or not

henclair are dating btw <3 (hey arush)

a few more background details: the publishing house is kind of small and only a few authors are like 'full' time signed with it and frequently publish under the agency's name

some of the other authors are like only a few time publishers or under contract for translation and so on and so forth

the name of the publishing house is sheepish wolf, which is pretty much a play on words

the logo is a wolf that has its body (besides legs and head) covered in sheep fluff, because of the saying of 'wolf in sheep's clothing'

and the wolf also has a little droplet near its head to indicate embarrassment, a nod to the meaning of the word 'sheepish'

My name is Jayden, nickname Jay, I’m 20yo, pronouns are she/her, and I’m a huge fan of Stranger Things, along with kpop and BL series! Ok so I just finished season one and there’s one thing (out of many things) that I noticed: it’s the “standing arrangements”.

When the party is looking for will, they are always in pairs; Lucas and Dustin, and Mike and El.

The GA would probably take this as another sign that Mike and El have romantic feelings for each other, but I rlly don’t think that’s the case. In these scenes the people Mike and El are paralleled too are Lucas and Dustin a COMPLETELY platonic duo in Canon. (Sure some people ship Henclair but let’s be real there is 0 chance AT ALL of that ever being canon)

Another parallel to these scenes of pairs walking on railroad tracks is Steve and Dustin (as shown below)

Another completely platonic duo that both mileven and Lucas and Dustin are paralleled too. This in itself is OK evidence at platonic mileven/byler endgame, but when you add the other factors into it, it feels more convincing.

Now we have to take into consideration season 3

Lucas and Max, Mike and Will, and Eleven alone. Constantly. Now Instead of Mike and El paralleling Dustin and Lucas, Mike and WILL are paralleling Lucas and MAX!

I think you can probably find something on how mike and lucas are paralleled constantly,(I haven’t done enough research on this part to explain it, but they are) not only that but the ammount of byler/LUMAX parallels there are is insane. And this isn’t even where it stops

We all know abt the parallels in the final s4 scene of Jancy Jopper and Byler right? Once again byler is paralleled to two romantic relationships while so far the only mileven parallels IVE seen are either platonic, a parental figure, or STANCY. (If u want a post on every mileven parallel lmk)
