📽 TobiView 📽 HALLOWEEN: Resurrection 🎃 Da präsentiert uns also Regisseur Rick Rosenthal, der sich 1981 auch für die Realisierung von “Halloween 2“ verantwortlich zeigte, den ersten Vertreter der Halloween-Reihe im neuen Jahrtausend. Im groben Big-Brother-Stil zeigt er eine quasi voyeuristische Version rund um Michael Myers, versucht den Stoff weiter zu modernisieren und thematisiert das Ganze als LIVE-TV-Reality-Show. 🎃 Zunächst sehen wir aber eine Einleitung, die mit dem restlichen Verlauf des Film nichts zu tun hat. Man holte dafür Jamie Lee Curtis nochmals als Laurie Strode zurück, um das Ende von “Halloween H20“ in anderer Form zu verwerten und das erneute Wiederbeleben von Michael Myers besser erklären zu können. Zudem liegt die Vermutung nah, man wollte mit ihrem Namen größere Publikumsmassen in die Kinos zu locken. 🎃 Eine Story ist nur im Ansatz vorhanden und sie ist auch eher nur Mittel zum Zweck, damit Michael Myers sich erneut so richtig austoben kann. Aufgefüllt wird das Ganze von einem teilweise prominenten Cast, wobei sämtliche Charaktere absolut eindimensional und blass bleiben. Im Grunde dienen sie nur als Kanonenfutter für Maskenträger Myers. Die Qualität der Effekte schwankt von grottig bis annehmbar, überzeugt aber wie ein großteil der Dialoge zu keiner Zeit vollends. Es wird versucht die Schwachstellen im storytelling durch Jumpscares zu kaschieren. Klappt nicht. 🎃 Ein paar gute Spannungsmomente, eine ab und zu horrorähnliche Atmosphäre und der hinter Michael Myers steckende Kultfaktor bewahren den Film vor einem kompletten Desaster.
