I listened to back to back @she_explores podcasts this morning. This one was amazing to listen to. I listen to a bunch of "hiker" podcasts but it's usually from a stereotypical white hiker. Hearing from a black woman @rahawahaile listening to her experience is totally different. This hit me because of how it will be going forward for thru hikers in politic climate we live in. As she was talking about it and I was tearing up I pulled up behind a truck with confederate flags and a couple Trump stickers putting her words in perspective 😑.
