okay but for real if you like scifi and horror and crime solving please read himitsu the top secret. it's been a surprise of a reading for me and im really enjoying it so far.

essentially, it takes place in a future where they have the technology to scan someone's brain for their memories postmortem and it explores the ethics of looking at a victim/perpetrators memories to solve crime and the psychological effects such investigations have on the people who have to watch the memories.

i do honestly sometimes to the point that i know it's childish and unreasonable lmao. maybe it's more that i'm tired of it and i'll always prefer m/f friendships, but once in a while i'll find something good and i do have my share of faves m/f romance! just that i'd put reading queer ones first always 

hmmm my faves are definitely hinata/kageyama from haikyuu (im fine with both romantic or queerplatonic just that they're definitely absolutely soulmates) and kurogane/fai from tsubasa reservoir chronicles they got me so bad...

ok i think over this list a lot but let's just go with some that i've personally read and like and i'll note the relationship between the main leads too:

What would you say is your theme songs/leimotifs and why?

oh boy an excuse to talk about songs i relate to myself

i consider my overall theme song to be quiz by kaf and i have considered it to be that for like 2 years now but the reasons why are so personal and emotional i don't think i'm gonna share them in this tumblr ask BASDFDFKA

some other songs i find to be themes of aspects of me are DEATHBODY by Ghost (always thought i would kill myself before i turned 18 and would never become an adult and this song embodies the vibes of living as an adult when you thought you'd be dead for me), Last Stage by Jitabata-P (this is moreso because i used to relate to its companion song, Last Battle, which is notably more pessimistic, and listening to last stage and finally relating to it after all these years reminds me of how far i've come with my recovery and life in general), and Secret Himitsu by Pinocchio-P (you can imply the relationship i have with this song through the lyrics but cough cough SA themes), just to name a few. there are way more these are just ones i thought of off the top of my head. if u can't tell i like vocaloid lol

The man begged desperately while backing away, slowly limping on his legs that had been brutally stabbed. Cowering in fear he screamed for help to somehow escape from his friend standing before him. Or was she even his friend?

"That's not my name." the girl said, gripping her antique sword, slowly angling it to strike again, staring at him with a cold expression in her purple eyes.

One slice. And his throat split open. Pouring life out in the form of blood.

Pretty easy.

The girl stood there for a while, slowly taking in the smell of death that was brimming in the room.

She dragged the man who was slowly dying and hurled him in the corner over more dead bodies that were huddled together.

"Ya - chan.... Please..... " the man sighed softly with his last breath, his eyes losing focus while still fixated on her.

Ya - chan.

Another name that she would have to discard because the role was over.

Himitsu had been known by a lot of different names by different people in the last one year.

Different personalities that she had to adopt to fit into the outside world and its people.

But it always ended the same way it did just now. With the death of every person who knew her by that name.

She reminisced the many lives that she lived in the previous year.

Once as a martial arts teacher in a small one - roomed apartment, being used as a Dojo for young boys, by its owner who had a passion for the skill. The owner who also thought that women shouldn't indulge in learning combat, as it was an insult to the beauty of the art somehow. But he still let her work in his Dojo stating that more boys would be interested in joining if they had some eye candy to look at. Since it's a woman's job to keep men happy as he stated.

He didn't look very happy after she pushed him off the terrace of the building though.

Then in an underground cult as their hired assassin, she diligently carried out all the dirty work. Their leader was highly respected by everyone and was known to have the strength of a hundred elephants. She didn't mind being in the cult as she didn't have to pretend to be a responsible citizen there, until their leader decided that she knew too much about their secrets so she needed to be disposed off before she could betray them.

A hundred elephants aren't that strong apparently.

Many different lives followed after that, none of them leading anywhere.

Himitsu looked out of the window of the building where she and her previous colleagues were supposed to be having a drinking party, that surely didn't end well.

She climbed to the top of the building and sprawled on the terrace floor looking up at the starless night sky.

Why?

Why did this keep on happening?

What was she doing with her life?

What did she even want?

She had left the clan estate with nothing but murder on her mind. The first couple of months, she simply went around the abandoned streets, killing anyone she sighted. The warm blood spilling from her prey, gave comfort to her ice cold heart, filled to the brim with rage, constantly clawing at her insides.

It felt exhilarating. The euphoria, the sense of absolute power, she couldn't have enough of it. With the monster inside her roaring in ecstasy, she ruled her world with nothing to stop her.

But after some time, the anger died.

And she was left completely empty.

As her need to kill subsided, her life lost its purpose.

But then she tried again. To find some purpose, some reason. Anything to keep her attached to the world. Anything to make her feel that passion again.

And thus started the lies.

A teacher, a comrade, a friend, a colleague.

She desperately looked for something to fixate onto. Something to give her life a meaning. Like a parasite looking for a host to haunt.

But as her life in the outside extended, her father's words became more apparent.

"The outside world is no different form here. No matter where you go, it's the same hell that you are trying to escape that will be waiting for you."

Maybe he cursed her that day. Maybe it's her punishment for going against her blood.

"I'm tired." she sighed.

She closed her eyes and laid there unmoving, with slow night breeze cooling her skin, and her breath becoming shallow with every second.

Himitsu suddenly felt at peace. If this was the last moment of her life, she wouldn't mind dying right there.

With that thought she slowly started drifting to unconsciousness, her worries leaving her mind.

"ITADORI!!"

Her eyes shot wide open with the abrupt scream that echoed from the woods a few miles away.

But it wasn't the scream that jolted her awake and made her reflexively start rushing towards the place where the sound came from. It was the insane amount of cursed energy that exploded so instantaneously that anything around its direct influence must have completely disintegrated right then.

She reached the utterly destroyed place and hid in the trees a little away from where the huge humanoid curse was hopping up and down like a lunatic.

Himitsu always found it funny when curses behaved like that.

The whole 50 metre radius around it was totally cleared and everything was burnt to ashes.

As expected. It's cursed energy was quite strong. Whoever went up against it must have been either a pure idiot or too confident to believe they could defeat this monster.

Well, too bad for whoever this Itadori person was and his friends.

Himitsu debated if she wanted to fight the curse. It was pretty strong but she could easily take it out.

But she just wasn't in the mood to be doing more killing so she started to get up to leave just as she noticed something moving under the debris a little away from where the curse was standing.

Oh! They were still alive?

The curse was too busy celebrating, dancing around maniacally to notice the spiky black haired teenage boy that hopped out of a depression in ground from under the burning tress and tried to drag two more teenagers, one boy and a girl, who were unconscious away from it.

By the time the curse sensed movement behind it, the boy had hid the two safely behind a tree and was returning back to face it.

'Staying hidden would have been a better decision for him'. Himitsu thought.

The boy didn't give the curse any time to react as he clasped his hands together to form shadow puppets on the ground from where two wolf shikigami emerged and dived straight for the curse, biting and clawing at it with great strength.

The divine dogs.

This boy was a Ten shadows technique user from the renown Zenin clan.

Himitsu was taken aback on discovering such a powerful technique user on such a random occasion.

Ever since she left the clan and entered the new world she didn't have any noteworthy curse user encounters. All she saw were curses that she randomly stumbled upon on instances and immediately exorcised them. But she did notice that the number and strength of the curses was increasing at a very fast pace.

She had been taught about the Jujutsu of the outside world and the main three clans that ran the Jujutsu society that used to include the Shizuka clan in the past times.

The Zenin clan. The Gojo clan. And the Kamo clan.

If the six eyes from the Gojo clan had also been born, then the world must be going into chaos with so much cursed energy flowing around.

The boy stood his ground against the curse for some time but he was clearly struggling. The curse was too strong and he was in no shape to be fighting. He was completely exhausted and the divine dogs were about to disappear any moment now. Who knew how long him and his friends had been fighting that curse earlier.

It seemed that the Ten shadows user still had a lot to learn and was nowhere near his peak strength yet.

He tried to summon more shikigami but they kept on disappearing seconds after being summoned. He was losing focus and was nearing his end.

He straightened up and tried his last attempt at winning by trying to summon a domain expansion but couldn't do it.

'Domain expansion takes a lot of concentration and cursed energy and right now you've ran out of both, boy.' Himitsu thought to herself.

After that last try he lost consciousness and fell face first on the burnt ground, his wounds gushing blood.

The curse started to dance again as if to mock the boy for his lose and raised his arm for the finishing blow.

The boy had fought courageously but it appeared that it was the end.

The death of the ten shadows technique inheritor would be a great loss for the Jujutsu society as who knew when the next user of the technique would be born.

Himitsu wondered if she should go and save him but before she could decide, the curse had been sliced in half and its body burst into flames instantaneously. The curse quickly degenerated into nothingness and as the smoke emerging from its body subsided, it revealed a tall, dark haired and muscular man standing right behind where the curse was, holding a huge curse sword.

He crouched over the boy checking his pulse and after making sure that he was alive, he stood up and left.

Himitsu was astounded.

What did just happen?

Who was that?

She couldn't believe her eyes and what she just witnessed, her brain going blank, unable to process what just happened.

The man just showed up out of nowhere, completely undetected by both the curse and herself and finished the curse of such a high level with just one blow.

And that wasn't what shocked her the most.

She sensed no cursed energy from him.

She had studied about it many years ago. When the amount of cursed energy in your body is either increased or decreased in exchange for physical strength.

It was a rare occurrence and Himitsu had never seen an instance of heavenly restriction so strong that all the cursed energy of a person was extinguished to give monstrous physical ability.

The man left as abruptly as he arrived and Himitsu felt her body move by itself, following him before she lost sight of him.

She kept close behind him, jumping from tree to tree, never letting him out of focus but still kept enough distance to make sure he wouldn't notice her.

People with heavenly restriction were gifted with animalistic instincts along with the heightened physical prowess. She had to be very careful.

She didn't know why she was following him or what she might get out of it, but a part of her was so intrigued by that man that she gave in to her curiosity.

It wasn't his extraordinary strength that sparked her interest. Strength never mattered to her in the first place. It was just an instinctual feeling that this man was something special. Something that she needed to know more about.

Every step and every turn he took were carefully contemplated to avoid catching attention and even Himitsu wouldn't have noticed him if she wasn't already fixated on him.

He was loud yet very quiet. Crude but so elegant.

With every passing second after seeing him for the first time, she felt more and more addicted to him.

She was enthralled.

For the first time in her life, Himitsu felt completely mesmerized by something. Her mind was ultra focused, with nothing else occupying it. Her abilities were involuntarily functioning at their maximum efficiency and she was captivated by the magestic being that she was trying to get a little bit more of.

And that's when it happened.

He stopped brusquely and turned around to look exactly where she was.

He noticed her presence.

Himitsu felt her heart stop and she halted in her track, unable to move or run away from that piercing gaze. But rather than feeling alarmed at being pinpointed or afraid for what was to come next, all she felt was a manic excitement for finally being seen by him.

He didn't hesitate for a single second. He started climbing up the trees and was mere seconds away from her yet she couldn't bring herself to move. A part of her wanted to be caught by him. To see what happened when he finally reached her.

He climbed the last branch and tried to grab her ankle but before he could do so, something flew past them and grabbed Himitsu by her waist and soared into the sky holding her.

She couldn't process just what happened in those few seconds and she couldn't care less about it.

What she cared about was the bittersweet feeling of not getting caught by him and the tingling sound in her ears, made by the gushing blood being pumped by her excited heart.

The thrill of being alive.

A purpose.

An obsession.

His face that was now printed in her mind. Those dark hair, that gorgeous scar, those green eyes with that deadened look, were now forever etched into her soul and she simply ached to see him again.

She looked up at the darkening night while still being carried by her abductor and smiled to herself, tears brimming in her eyes, her lips continuously repeated the same thing, breaking her heart every time.

"I found you...I found you...I found you..."

ive slowly started physically collecting manga i really like recently and its in large part because i like to reread certain series often and having them nearby is handy and like, theres a lot of things people warn you about when collecting manga (or anything really, the usual suspects is like: how are you gonna store all these 10 volume series, watch out for overpriced used copies, etc) but Nobody warned me about the PAIN and SUFFERING of Wanting to Collect a series that has no official localization. screaming crying throwing up etc
