Fuck it
Hogwarts Legacy characters and their Classpects as well as The Alpha and Beta kids' Hogwarts houses.
Because I have a strange mixture of interests and I think I want to make all of my followers suffer too. Classpect Descriptions from@/Homestuckexamination
Sebastian Sallow- Theif of Doom
The Thief of Doom would be one who Steals Doom for Themselves. Doom doesn’t seem to have many practical uses selfishly, which may parse the Thief of Doom as someone who suffers in behalf of others, and then uses said pain to justify their authority or that they deserve something. They may Steal through Doom as well, benefiting from something or someone’s death or pain, looting from them at their weakest, or taking advantage of people’s limitations to get away with what they want. Or perhaps they really do Steal Death and Suffering for themselves, having a more morbid or borderline masochistic behaviour.
Ominis Gaunt - Seer of Mind
The Seer of Mind is that who Knows Mind for Others. There’s little to say about this Classpect that the canon hasn’t already- Knowing when others are putting a facade, knowing where their choices will lead in the Timeline, and guiding others to not let them go down a self-destructive path, as well as knowing their own Choices and their outcomes just as well. They may also be able to read minds and see what others are thinking.
Poppy Sweeting- Sylph of Blood
The Sylph of Blood would be the one to Make Blood for Others. With Blood as Attachment, Bonds and Friendship, they would easily bring the team together, forging an Alliance and keeping conflict away from the group, to work towards a common goal. Using these bonds and hard work together to improve the team, and slowly build up to face any challenge in their way. Creating Blood and Healing Blood and Through Blood easily evokes the idea of blood transfusions and bloodletting as ways of healing, purifying the body from toxins and harmful substances, as well as closing wounds. And in the same way to protect those they care about, they won’t hesitate to Create Wounds on their enemies.
Garreth Weasley - Knight of Breath
The Knight of Breath would be one to Serve Breath to Others. Allowing others to have the Freedom they need, allowing them to move freely, and perhaps, even to detach themselves from other issues and focus on their personal goals. They’re facilitators, doing what needs to be done, and either inspiring others to do the same, or doing it so that they don’t need to do anything, either Serving a Leader, or Serving as the Leader. And in the same way, they may Wield the Wind to protect those that need their help, and Serve those struggling a Breath of Fresh Air
Natsai Onai - Maid of Hope
The Maid of Hope would similarly Create Hope, but as an Active Class, the Maid would create it for themselves. Always hopeful that things will turn out right, it would drive them forwards and, rather than directly make it for others, they may become a beacon others look up to. They may also shrug off attacks completely merely because they believe they can power through it, believing in themselves.
Leander Prewett - Page of Rage
The Page of Rage would be one to be Served Rage, or through Rage. Keeping themselves confused and unaware of the full extent of the situation they’re in, their attitude may be infuriating to those around them- And yet, their demeanor also makes it hard to keep hating them for too long. While possibly confusing or infuriating, it’s where this Rage is aimed that counts, and when they’re hurt or when they’re in a bad position, the anger easily bounces off of them, and towards that which is mistreating them. But when built up beyond this attitude, when helped be happier, they too may harbor hatred towards that which oppressed them, and usher their foes into utter chaos.
Homestuck Kids' houses based off vibes alone John Egbert - Gryffindor Rose Lalonde - Ravenclaw Dave Strider - Hufflepuff Jade Harley - Ravenclaw Jane Crocker - Slytherin Dirk Strider - Slytherin Roxy Lalonde - Gryffindor Jake Harley - Hufflepuff

A Bed of Roses (Homestuck/Harry Potter fusion) new chapter!
Chapter 19, Rose: Resume., has been uploaded to all five sites where it's available to read!
Rose Lalonde talks to Harry Potter.
In descending order of good formatting:
I realize I haven't promoted this fic on my blog much, but it's kind of my pride and joy, so:
A Bed of Roses (ABOR) is a crossover fusion fic between Harry Potter and Homestuck. Following a catastrophic [S] Cascade, Rose Lalonde finds herself reborn in Britain just in time to join the Hogwarts class of 1991, joining the teen Dirk Strider in learning magic, which was apparently a thing he'd done in her original timeline as well?
On her way to the school, she meets friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, but is shocked when Hermione introduces Rose to her adoptive brother, Dave!
Shenanigans ensue. Teen versions of parents are texted. Strife specibi are exchanged, haunted diaries are written in, and Dark Lords are battled.
It's all a lot of fun, really.
I'm also posting this here to FORMALLY announce that the AO3 version of this fic has a word count of EXACTLY:
Tumblr media
Nice.
Anyway, please check this fic out if you haven't before! It's by far my longest and favorite piece of published writing I've done, and I've been working on it since July 2020. Readers are either expected to have finished Homestuck or to not give a shit about Homestuck spoilers, lol. However, the fic is also kinda a love letter to the HP fanfic I read when growing up, so you are expected to at least have a pop-cultural understanding of Harry Potter.
See you all at the Triwizard Tournament! :D

like or reblog if you’d want a site like personality-database but for applying fiction-based personality systems (like classpect or HP house or color identity) to both characters in other works and real people like celebrities (and even non-animate stuff like songs or fandoms). I’ve got a strong idea of how it’d work I’d just need someone to help me make it, only problem I’m having is how to make it so what characters from the work where a system comes from are in that system is unchangeable but still searchable for (aka I’d want people to not be able to vote Rose Lalonde as anything other than Seer Of Light for her classpect because, well, it’s the canon one, but I’d still want her to show up when someone searches for what characters are Seers Of Light)

homestuck was so perfect for autistic teenagers bc it took characters being sorted into categories and having Attributes to its absolute extreme. forget four hogwarts houses, every character has their associated colour their zodiac sign their associated animal their dream planet their god tier class and aspect their typing quirk their pesterchum handle their weapon their planet of x and y, as well as each of them having a handful of other very quantifiable Personality Traits and Interests (e.g. this one is a clown this one is angry this one likes fashion this one is just rufio from hook for some reason) and THEN they all also have their respective ancestors and dancestors(?)(plucked that word from my memory) who have all of those things as WELL
and god not to mention the fucking quadrant system
as a 13-15 year old autistic kid i didnt even need homestuck to have a plot i just happily made a big big spreadsheet of character attributes in my brain

I always see people who have never been antis, talking about/questioning how some antis even ARE antis when you look at their taste in media - ie the ever famous joke of "Hannigram is #problematique" "but it's a show where he eats people" or whatever.
I thought I'd weigh in as someone who could, hypothetically, be called an ex-anti (which, thankfully, nothing ever really came out of it - it was just very 2014 keyboardwarrior-esque behavior of me being a chronically online young adult who would share posts in a group chat making fun of certain shippers, or reblog posts about how 50shades is The Most Problematic Media Ever to exist -- basically I was an anti with anti-lines of thoughts, but i never, like, a ran a Shipping Discourse Blog or whatever)
For me, personally, it was a few different things. I can now see how it's incredibly hypocritical that teenaged me shipped Light/L, while still thinking that Dramione was Bad And Abusive. It ultimately boiled down to a) being pretentious, and b) just not understanding media or what proshippers REALLY believed, with a side of c) not realizing that nuance exists. like i was pretty late to join tumblr, I think I immigrated here during PEAK "yourfaveisproblematic" era which definitely did have an impact on my opinions and my tastes.
to elaborate, a.) being pretentious. i mean this one just kinda goes without saying. "I engage in media in a way more intellectual way than you do, don't you know that? You're a filthy and disgusting person who writes Snape/Hermione because you're an actually disgusting pedophile IRL who would probably date your own student that you're abusing if you could. Meanwhile, I'm a very smart, good, and pure person. When I read Uncle Vernon/Harry, I'm doing it in a G-d honoring whump way that clearly condemns abuse, incest, and rape. Unlike YOU who only writes harmful stuff as a way to get people off :/"
(as an aside, i think this line of thinking will ALWAYS be present in fandom and popculture in some way, sadly. ie the recent trend of people hating on booktok bc the books are 'trashy' and how these porn addicts should read real classic literature instead.)
as for b.), not understanding media - i cannot emphasize enough that i was GENUINELY stupid and disconnected enough to think that proshippers REALLY WERE pro-All Of The Degenerate Dead Doves That They Wrote.
why did i feel this way? why did i understand that Lolita clearly isnt pro-pedophilia, but for some reason i thought that someone shipping weecest was? well, first of all, i think that fanfiction is (generally) seen as Less Serious than classic literature, and fandom is a fun place, so i guess i somehow thought that every fanfic/fanartist who wrote Problematic Things, especially Problematic Things that they portrayed as Sexy, really DID enjoy the thought of that Actually Happening To Real People.
and i think THIS is the bulk of why antis ARE antis. i'm not calling them all stupid - i do think BEING an anti is stupid, but at the same time, there are people who are truly smart and good-intended people who just have some really off color opinions about, like, homestuck ships or whatever. Lawlight is okay because notebooks that kill people don't exist so it's IMPOSSIBLE for the Harmful Aspects of Light/L to be romanticized! but schoolyard prejudiced bullies DO exist and are a REAL problem so Drarry is BAD (*truly completely unaware of the fact that there's 'realistic' aspects of the Light/L dynamic and 'unrealistic' aspects of Drarry - such as, for example, Hogwarts arguably being even MORE of a fantasy setting than DN is.*) I know that media literacy is the hot buzzword of the year to throw around in 2024, but, like, i really did not have media literacy.
as for c.), not realizing nuance exists - ok "nuance" might not be the best word here, but i dont know how else to describe it. like, each time ive typed the word "problematic" out in this ask, i've done so in a very tongue in cheek/ironic/retroactive way, but, like, those posts about how Everything Is Problematic, Including Your Fave ARE true. and i didn't like the fact that my favorite media or favorite person might've Made A Mistake! i need to Talk About Its Issues Because I'm So Betrayed That My Dear Sweet Comfort Media Would Do This To Me. I Need To Prove I Clearly Condemn It.
like, i legit morally could not justify reblogging a twilight post without adding in the tags '#this is my guilty pleasure it sucks that the books were so racist though' or whatever. Most people were lucky enough to avoid that line of thinking, but there was an actual group of people who felt a genuine need to virtue signal all the time, partly bc, hey, they WERE passionate about talking abt #issues in media, but also bc of a subconscious fear of If You Reblog A Singular Piece Of Hetalia Fanart, You're Literally A Nazi And Will Get A Callout Post Written About You.
and during all of this i was at the tail end of my high school experience (yes i know im younger than most of your audience, ha). i was going through A Lot emotionally, going through a lot of life changes, and lived in a very . . . interesting household/place where i couldn't do ACTUAL good in the world that i was passionate about. so to make up for the fact that i was genuinely in no place to do legit activism, clearly i had to save the gay community by arguing about johnlock queerbaiting or whatever.
^ and honestly i do think that is the position of most antis. theyre isolated and cant seem to do Enough in the Real Scary World so they have to resort to talking about how bad of a person someone is for "shipping abuse", bc theyre not in a situation where they could, for example, ACTUALLY fight the good fight to end abuse or raise awareness for it.
There was way more to it and way more that I could say, if I wanted to, but this post is long enough as it is and probably doesn't make much sense.
I feel bad for antis, honestly, or at least the ones who are antis in the way I used to be.
--
Oh yes, passionate young fools who think they can at least fix the internet if not their lives make up most of the cannon fodder. Some of the ringleaders are just mini dictators and wannabe cult leaders, but most anti-leaning types are just traumatized or clueless, even a lot of the ones who do serious damage and don't just mock shit in private with their friends.

i feel like the material harm done by jk rowling and the associated harm done by supporting her work is fairly incomparable to whatever harm in theory could be caused by engaging with homestuck. like, the harm that was done was done, and if some people feel that emotionally the knowledge of that harm having been done makes homestuck unpalatable to them that's one thing, but i don't really see any straightforward line that can be drawn tying current engagement with homestuck to further real harm. as you've pointed out, the current situation with the new team seems to be pretty good all things considered.
sorry if this reads as like, overly defensive at all
No no I agree! Like obviously the impact Homestuck had even at its peak is nowhere near close to Harry Potter’s current role in society and grander social politics. That’s why I phrased it so where personally it’s just a similar experience of “I used to like this thing but now knowing how bad the creator’s politics and actions are, l can’t support it” the same way that even if the Hogwarts Legacy devs are nice inclusive people and Rowling wasn’t involved in its development and the game was good, I still can’t bring myself to play it knowing that it’s tied to this person who I find legitimately harmful. It’s a personal thing, but one based on knowing how Hussie and the What Pumpkin structure hurt a lot of people and the awful things they’ve done publicly and privately

Not derailing this post which is having a very serious conversation about sex, sexnormativity, and such. There's a quote I want to talk about in that @curlicuecal in the conversation says and relate it to the culture surrounding the adoption of new media:
...if you spend some time talking to people with different experiences or learning about even one culture other than your own ... It just opens your eyes to perspectives and options you never even knew existed. And suddenly you have more colors to paint with.
I believe that the major success of homestuck and (unfortunately) harry potter as well as the major failure of Jame Cameron's Avatar, and minor failure of most YA dytopia novels wit harry potter houses correlate to this New Colors Principle: If you give people new colors to paint wit, they will paint with them.
let's skip over homestuck (we'll get back to it) and (unfortunately) talk about harry potter for a moment. The four houses are arguably the biggest part of potterhead culture, and that's more than just marketing. A lot of words have been written on how the houses function in canon, forming the basis for a bad positive feedback loop that ultimately radicalizes snape, voldemort, and other syltherins to bibotry; as well as other problems with their in canon implimentations. But, the thing that made harry potter so fucking popular, aside from the factors of success largely unrelated to the book itself, was that it gave people some fancy new astrology signs by way of the hogwarts houses. They were new colors to paint with, and its unfortunately what makes it so fucking difficult to kill too, because people don't want to lose access to those colors they found meaning in (I still internally identify wit a house, cringing as I do, because I painted myself with that color, and cutting that part of myself away, despite my acceptance of its necessity is a hard and painful process I'm probably never gonna completely manage.)
By contrast, the failure of James Cameron's Avatar to form a cultural splash is because He doesn't spend enough time really rexploring the blue people's culture in a way that's understandable to a human audience. A lot of the blue people's culture exists only as either a plot device or the mystical native trope, which kinda betrays his opinions on the real-life indiginous peoples his blue people are coded as. He had the opprotunity to create some truly fascinating colors, and had he done so by cooperating with the native people he believes are a "dead end society", and all he made was puce blue.
And now back to the other end of the spectrum, to quote myself, "Homestuck is a now concluded long running web comic series written by Andrew Hussie centering around the paradox inducing shenanagains of ten humans, twenty-four trolls, a number of cerebum, and several other species; as they all quest both for personal growth and to herald the birth of a new cosmic frog multiverse which the surviviors of the narative can settle into: It’s a glorious mess." That quote comes from an essay in which I use huusian troll romance to analysize the romantic-sexual attraction of a character from a completely unrelated media.
The popularity of homestuck stems, I argue here in part, from the absolutely unhinged pallette of new colors it created. You've got astrology^2 in the classpects; you've got the trolls with their lexusi, blood heirarchy, and romance quadrants; the leprechaun have their charms (which is itself taking the piss out of troll romance quadrants), the dichotomy of the prospit and derse dreaming, the cherbum, all the various ways to conceptualize the self brought about by shenanagains in paradox spacetime. Homestuck offers some 40+ new colors to fuck around painting wit, and cringe though the execution might have sometimes been, people did enfact fuck around and paint wit 'em.
People love having new colors to play with, and culture is driven by the desire to paint, but also to discover new colors to paint with. What an excellent metaphor, that I should note was made by a person who, at time of writing, has a homestuck icon.

INFINITY TRAIN CLASSPECTS
Tumblr media
In this post I will be merging my two "hyperfixations" / "special interests" by assigning Homestuck Mythological Roles (a.k.a. Classpects) to some of the Infinity Train characters.
What the fuck is a Classpect?
Classpects are like Zodiac signs or Hogwarts Houses except excruciatingly convoluted, because it’s from Homestuck. I will attempt to simplify them as much as possible.
Basically every character receives a title in this format:
[Class Role] of [Aspect]
which, in Homestuck canon, gives the character sweet reality warping powers!
Some examples include the Witch of Space being able to shrink entire planets, or the Heir of Breath whipping up tornadoes out of nowhere! One of the coolest examples in canon was the Rogue of Void can steal non-existence from an object and make it real!
But the titles are also assigned based on a character's personality, goals, how they interact with others, and their overall character arc. And because they are Zodiac-adjacent, it also means that classpects can be applied to any sort of character in any media in existence.
Why are you doing classpects for Infinity Train you cringey Hussie simp?
First off, I don’t care for Andrew Hussie beyond the fact that they authored Homestuck, and one can certainly argue it wasn’t entirely on their own. This is an irrelevant tangent.
Secondly, both the video game Sburb in Homestuck, and the Train in Infinity Train are essentially character arc generators.
This means it’s extremely straightforward to assign classpects onto these Train peeps because their character arcs have been spelled out for us, in the same way that Sburb spells out the character arcs for the Homestuck characters when they play the game.
SUMMARY OF CLASSES
A Class determines how a character is, or acts, or behaves, they are analogous to D&D classes. This system is based on the one developed by @optimisticduelist2 and @homestuckexamination
Role Active Passive Description*
Create Maid Sylph Create or Mend for self / others
Destroy Prince Bard Destroy or Subdue for self / others
Change Witch Heir Change or Manipulate for self / others
Know Mage Seer Understand or Learn for self / others
Give Page Knight Give or Serve to self / others
Take Thief Rogue Take or Steal for self / others
*Note: Just because a character is in a passive or active class does NOT mean they must ALWAYS use their aspect in a selfish or selfless manner!
SUMMARY OF ASPECTS
Tumblr media
Aspects are analogous to classical elements (Water, Earth, Fire, Air, etc). They come in pairs that counterbalance each other like Yin and Yang. I also try to summarize their core concept in as little words as possible. (Note if you are using the dark theme some of the font colours might not show up properly. Just highlight it if that's the case.)
Space - Creativity Time - Inevitability
Light - Knowledge Void - Mystery
Life - Abundance Doom - Futility
Hope - Faith Rage - Chaos
Mind - Motives/Decisions Heart - Identity/Emotions
Breath - Freedom Blood - Bonds
***Key point: Thinking about the character’s Character Arc is the best way to classpect them!!!***
If their character arc revolves (mainly) around themselves, they are an ACTIVE class.
If their character arc revolves (mainly) around other people, they are a PASSIVE class.
CHARACTERS AND THEIR CLASSPECTS
Tulip Olsen – Mage of Light
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“One who knows Light for themselves.”
Tulip gained the most knowledge of the Train other than Amelia out of the main characters, and her understanding of the Train (the world around her) as well as her own issues allowed her to free herself from the Train. Her knowledge inadvertently led to a better Train system through her teaching her knowledge to One-One (mages are great teachers).
You may be wondering, if her knowledge also benefited others, why is Tulip a mage and not a seer? That’s because Tulip took the initiative to seek the knowledge of her own volition (i.e. actively), and is more open to accepting and assimilating new knowledge.
Seers on the other hand, receive a ton of knowledge passively, but it takes them time to parse the amount of information, and seers tend to struggle to understand the meaning behind the information they receive (Rose, the Seer of Light in Homestuck suffered the brunt of this early on, and Terezi, the Seer of Mind, had this struggle in the middle to the end of the webcomic. Also see the entry for Simon).
Amelia Hughes – Maid of Doom
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“One who creates Doom for themselves.”
I don’t think I need to explain the ‘creating doom for herself’ part of Amelia’s whole schtick, since doom is tied to futility and suffering. However, looking more deeply into it, you can say that she has created so much suffering on the Train that to make amends (hehe mends), she needs to go and fix the mistakes she made, thus also mending her own Doom and mending through Doom.
By taking Hazel in, not only is she mending the doom that she had brought onto Hazel by creating her in the first place, but she also averted Hazel’s doom by saving her from Grace and Simon. [non-canonical tangent: in my fanfic, she helps Simon realize what his issues were, thus averting his doom as well].
In addition, Doom is tied to technology and systems, and Amelia is an engineer, and if you buy my idea that the Train itself can be seen as an Agent of Doom, or even the embodiment of Doom, then her creating Train Cars to reenact her past life (also an act of futility) also falls very much in line with Maid of Doom. Also she is basically MADE of doom as the False Conductor.
Lake – Thief of Breath
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“One who takes Breath for themselves.”
Lake wanted freedom from their existence as a reflection, and then they wanted to be free from the Train like a passenger can eventually be. Lake wasn’t afraid to get their hands dirty in order to obtain that freedom as well, something thieves are prone to do. We see them try to trick Tulip in the Chrome Car in order to escape from the mirror dimension, and they also full-out killed a cop they were handcuffed to so they could be free.
Jesse Cosay – Knight of Blood
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“One who serves Blood to others.”
Blood is tied to bonds in terms of the bonds we create between people, i.e. family and friends. Jesse’s key issue was that he was giving too much of himself to his toxic friends and his swim team that he hurt his little brother in the process, and he needed to learn to give in a healthier way.
He also in a sense has to ‘set boundaries’ with others too, and not get too influenced by peer pressure. Finally, the most important use of his aspect was he was able to free Lake by offering (giving) his friendship (blood) to them.
Grace Monroe – Witch of Heart
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“One who changes Heart for themselves”
Grace is basically the queen of putting on masks in order to get what she wants from others. She acts in a friendly and understanding teacher/guardian manner to the younger Apex kids, but in a cool girl big sis kind of way to Jesse in order to convince him to join the Apex. So not only does she exhibit the changing of identity, but also to change how others feel about her, both to her own benefit. She is really the most “herself” only with Simon.
Grace’s entire character arc is centered around her having a ‘change of heart’ too, re-evaluating and changing her whole identity once she found out she was wrong about numbers and denizens. She will then change the hearts of the Apex kids as well, changing the purpose and identity of the Apex.
Simon Laurent – Seer of Mind
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“One who knows Mind for others.”
You're probably rolling on the ground with laughter right now. Believe me I was too when I thought of this. But let me explain.
Because Simon’s arc ended in his tragic death, then we need to see what he did wrong in order to figure out his classpect. Simon’s troubles started when he rejected new information about the Train, when he refused knowledge. In addition, he was so sure of his own correctness that he couldn’t properly understand Grace’s motivations and couldn’t predict her decisions. He forcibly peered into Grace’s private thoughts for himself, and then came to the entirely wrong conclusions.
He was, in essence, completely unaware of the minds of others, and thus blinded himself to the truth. Thus, he is the Seer of Mind.
We can therefore imagine that if his character arc had run its course not to tragedy but towards self-actualization, he would have become somebody to understand other’s minds, and to know his own mind for the benefit of others (cough my fanfics coughcoughcough). This will not be easy for him, because as mentioned before, Seers receive information very naturally but struggle with understanding it and synthesizing it into a coherent whole.
It is also possible he was exercising some of his knowledge of mind in a positive way by being the Apex’s second in command, as he was the strategist to Grace’s commander.
Ryan Akagi – Heir of Space
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“One who changes Space for others.”
Ryan is a creative spirit, with his eyes to the stars. He’s always making plans to spread his art to the whole world. He is driven but in a way where it seems like creativity is driving him, and he is just along for the ride.
Yes, music is normally associated with time, but Ryan isn’t cynical, dwelling on the past and worrying about the future. He is a guy that’s in the present moment. Plus, his gigs include lots of theatrics and visuals… when he is able/allowed to accomplish that of course. So this aligns his musicality more towards Space than Time.
He inspired Min-Gi to follow his artistic pursuits. He also finds creative solutions to Train cars that his companions didn’t see (especially the Art Gallery Car, where as soon as he found the solution he literally changed space). He definitely fits the ‘driving inspirational force’ that Heirs are for others.
Min-Gi Park – Page of Hope
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“One who serves Hope to themselves.”
Min-Gi didn’t have faith in himself and his musical abilities. He dreams of being a musician but he did not ‘believe in himself’ enough to follow that dream. In the end, he had to have faith in his abilities, to allow himself to hope for the future that he wants. Pages also have very slow progression rates, and Min-Gi certainly fits that; not understanding his true calling until his best friend/crush accidentally dragged him into several repeated life or death situations in another dimension.
[Non-canonical note: Min-Gi having the Hope aspect could be why I headcanoned him and his family as religious for my fanfics (Hope is very much tied to spirituality and religion, and the hope symbol is a pair of angelic wings for crying out loud). And also apparently that was a lucky thing I did because Korean-Canadian immigrants in the sixties were all just missionary families sponsored by the Presbyterian Church!]

Just wanted to drop in and say I love the way you write Roxy and Viri.
Take care
viri is my name irl and viri is me irl :3 (so is emma obviously, but viri is what people call me)
viri is also roxy lalonde in a trenchcoat irl ...
i haven't made much progress on chapter 6 (which will be a viroxy chapter) yet, but i have a rough outline... in the meantime, i wrote some very silly crossover shitposts between a few of my fics!
here's A Bed of Roses x Bro-Coded:
Rose stared at the two girls in front of her. Both of them stared back, blinking eerily in-sync. The girl on the left - that was familiar ground. That was her mother, displaced in time (well, really, she was the one displaced), wearing a gaudy pink cat t-shirt underneath an unbuttoned coat. She stared at Rose with something like wry, knowing amusement, even though Rose was sure her mother knew about as much as she did. The other girl was the unknown factor. Sure, she'd known that the Quad-Wizard Tournament would require participants from four schools, and one of them was from America. And sure, she knew that the odds of strangers looking like familiar people wasn't nothing, all things considered. She'd seen the front page of Imgur once or twice -- "this stranger could be my secret twin" posts weren't unheard of. But the other girl blinked at Rose with delicate bright pink eyes, and some part of her wanted to stab the impostor dead on the spot. "You look like you wanna stab me," said the other girl lightly, thick Texan accent reminding Rose of the Striders. "An' I'm not sure what I did to deserve that." Was there another paradox clone John had just lost track of? Did it make any sense at all for there to somehow be two Roxies? ...Come to think of it, it didn't make sense for there to be two Roses, either, assuming she was going to be born later this year, but -- "I love your robes, bee tee dubs," said Roxy to the other girl. "I'm, like. So fucking jealous. I fucking LOVE wizards." The other girl smiled. "Same," she said. "Was pretty goddamn happy about the letter, lawl." God, they even talked similar, accent or no. Rose cleared her throat. This madness had to end. "What's your name, anyway?" she asked the second Roxy. "R--" said the other girl, before stopping herself, sending Rose's eyebrows sky-high. After a moment, she opened her mouth again. "My name's Viri." "I'm Roxy," said Rose's mom, and oh goddammit, was she making FRIENDS with the impostor?!
and here's ABOR x Bro-Coded x Worm!
"I'm Seer, from the Brockton Bay Wards," said Rose, blandly. "Rogue, from New York," said a very familiar voice. Rose's breath caught. Without even thinking, she had grabbed the other girl, running over to a corner. "Mom?" she asked, shakily, pulling down her mask. "It's me, Rose." She was sure. She had to be right. The other girl's expression was unreadable, but Rose's breath caught in her throat when she saw the pink eyes. It had to be her. "My name is Viri," said Rogue, and Rose felt her whole world start to shatter apart. "But..." She bit her lip, and Rose just stared. "I used to try the name Roxy for myself, when I first started transitioning. Does that... mean anything to you?" "It does," said Rose, breathless. "It is you." A hand on her shoulder. She turned around. Dean. "Not that I want to interrupt whatever is happening here," her fellow Ward said, voice muffled by his helmet. "But we are in the middle of an event, Seer." He gestured at something, and Rose numbly followed the motion to find her mask still in her hands. "Oh," she said. With one last look at Roxy-- no. Viri-- no, they were on the clock, call her Rogue-- She took a deep breath, put her mask back on, and walked back over to join her team. We'll be talking more went unspoken, as she glanced back at Rogue. Rogue nodded, as if she'd gotten the message. God. This was like finding Dave all over again.

I remember back when the whole thing was the boycott over Hogwarts Legacy a lot of my friends on here pointed out that for a lot of us it was basically performative, because, you know, it’s not like we were *ever* going to buy the game. This was true for me. I haven’t cared about Rowling in over a decade. Boycotting, critiquing her, I’m distinctly not saying obviously it’s not significant but it *is* profoundly easy for me, but also kind of meaningless, especially if I’m puffing my chest about it.
Similarly maybe more people should just admit that you haven’t cared about / paid attention to Homestuck since that fake cop tumblr post story about it, that’s your major reference for it and it’s mostly irrelevant to you so you’re off date and not really in it (this is true for me). That you’re hyper focusing on this weirdly out of some outdated cultural consensus being used to other obvious ends etc
