Fun Fact : Male hooded seals that are sexually mature are able to inflate a large red sac from one of its nostrils, about the size of a balloon. They do this by shutting the other nostril valve and inflating a membrane which comes out of the other. This is done to attract females / show aggression towards other males.(if u wanna see look it up<3) ^ ^

Fun Fact : Harp seal pups (babies) are born with long white fur that helps them absorb sunlight to stay warm while they're developing blubber (as in the pic). Once they grow up they turn a light grey with short fur and dark grey spots. So cute! (о´∀`о)

seal of the day: hooded seal!!! look. at. these. the males have a nasal sac that helps them communicate things such as competing for resources, and demonstrating superiority and aggression among other male hooded seals. the balloon-like membrane comes out of the left nostril and when shaken it can make lots of different sounds *___* only the males have the hood, females do not. male pups look like other seal pups until the age of 4 when the hood fully develops. what do u think of these seals?!

“Have you met Seal Hood?” 

Dick paused almost mid-jump, having apparently turned to the wrong channel but also changed to the perfect one too. At least, perfect in the fact that he had just overheard an interesting thing from Jason, apparently forgetting that his comm was in fact on still. 

Damian must have answered, because Jason snorted a laugh. “You can try getting him to leave, he’s taken over my bathtub and keeps eating all my food.” 

Hold up, was- Dick had thought Jason was talking about a plush or something, but was he talking about a literal living animal seal??

“I’ll have you know I’m not going to make a poor little baby seal leave, and I’m not putting him in a zoo, brat.” 

Oh Gotham, it was a real living animal seal. Dick about faced, rushing towards Jason’s safehouse. How did he get a seal? Why was it in his bathtub?? Why hadn’t he called the proper people for this sort of thing?! He had to get to the safehouse now to see this shit.

I really wish DC would let Jason move past being part or the Bat Family. I think it would be interesting for his character. He should start his own by taking in a kid and probably steer clear of a romantic partner for a while. I just wish he could drive the bats out of Gotham (Duke and Steph are exceptions).
