Where do I even begin? I'm appalled. The Canadian government living up to its roots in colonial-settler violence... this is beyond criminal. Contact your MP's. This erasure and anti-Palestinian racism is unacceptable.

The speaker of Canada’s House of Commons resigned Tuesday for inviting a man who fought for a Nazi military unit during World War II to Parliament to attend a speech by the Ukrainian president.

Just after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy delivered an address in the House of Commons on Friday, Canadian lawmakers gave 98-year-old Yaroslav Hunka a standing ovation when Speaker Anthony Rota drew attention to him. Rota introduced Hunka as a war hero who fought for the First Ukrainian Division.

Observers over the weekend began to publicize the fact that the First Ukrainian Division also was known as the Waffen-SS Galicia Division, or the SS 14th Waffen Division, a voluntary unit that was under the command of the Nazis.

The House of Commons is filled with a bunch of clowns posing as politicians. The way a majority of the heckling comes from the Tories is just so irritating (and why I can't watch most of these Parliamentary discussions/Question Periods live). It's a form of harassment. Making noises for very valid reasons absolutely, but hearing it is beyond annoying. In this case, especially since it's not disapproval for how the Trudeau government has been responding to what is happening in Gaza, it is beyond despicable.

PM Trudeau needs to be held accountable for not demanding a ceasefire in Gaza and for not ending support to the IOF via arms support. The priorities of the politicians are just so laughable -and the fact they ALL live comfortably and will retire very well... despicable.
