Find your pace and remind yourself. It's not something you have to earn this instant, it's something that happens when you're in your element. If you feel like you have to constantly prove something, re-evaluate how you see yourself. How you value your being.

let shifting consume you. punch the overthinking as if you would punch a nazist. everytime a bad thought arises do two sets of i am too cunt to be bothered by this. be a narcissist and understand that you are superior than a word (shifting) used to describe your birth right. have an ego of a 5’6 man with a lethal face card. you are soul with a body, not the contrary, so just choose which one you want to be in.

Also can we remember how Gilderoy was the ONLY ONE who applied for the position so despite being the worst day 1, Severus slamming Dumbledore's door open like a fury ("YOU HIRED *THIS* INSTEAD OF ME???") and Minerva smoking way more than before to calm her nerves, they HAD to accept it.

How to Win Over Sebastian Sallow

beat him in a duel (bonus points if you smirk as he lies wandless on the floor)

or generally, be better than him at something he take pride in, whether it's duelling, or charming your way out of detention

wink at him, no explanations. just do it and see what happens :)

be confident darling, walk like you own the room. he can't resist someone who knows their worth

indulge him with witty remarks or sarcastic comebacks

stick together even if it's straight to some serious troubles. ride or die sort of situation (Sebastian is the real one)

share some secret with him and watch as he straightens up, eager to prove he’s trustworthy, his eyes lighting up at the idea of being the one you chose to share it with (he’ll guard it like a dragon guards treasure)

whether it’s sneaking into the restricted section or investigating cursed relics, always say “yes” to his wild ideas, be up for an adventure, he lives for it

out of nowhere, pull Sebastian by the tie and kiss him hard
