First Line From an Old WIP Tag
I saw @elizabethsyson‘s post and considered myself tagged because I am a masochist. I picked the worst ones I could find for you lovely people.
Going through my old files was nauseating. I can’t believe I was one of those “3deep5me” kids. Oy.
I have thrown myself face first into my teenage writing hell to retrieve for you, like Orpheus marching out of the Underworld with his dead wife’s soul in tow, some grade A garbage:
A common belief among the fair gentry is the notion that the general public has a choice as to which path they may choose to take through life, a la Robert Frost.
Hurk.
If I remember correctly, this was a first person character piece that never went anywhere and remains abandoned to this day.
[EDIT: I LIED. I adapted this into a slightly more readable story for my first fiction workshop in college. What was I thinking, oh God.]
This is the worst one I could find. Most of my first lines were pretty bland, which was a little disappointing. And I wrote a lot of terrible poetry, good Lord.
Here’s the runner up:
My name is Sophie Ignis Crowe, and I was raised at a carnival. What a way to begin, eh?
I don’t know what shames me the most: the My Immortal naming convention (this girl could set herself on fire phoenix-style because of an alchemical accident that happened when she was a kid), the misplaced comma, or the graceless breaking of the 4th wall in a first person narrative. Or that this is the separate epilogue document to the story I turned in for class.
[While looking through my old, old, old files, I found the world building document for the fantasy novel I was gonna write when I was 15. There is a surprising amount of content for like, a whole week of commitment to writing it.]
Bilbo Taggins: @quilloftheclouds, @cawolters, @caffeinewitchcraft, @waterfallwritings, @aslanwrites, @katekyo-bitch-reborn, @piratequeenofpixies, @leave-her-a-tome, @the-story-archives, @klywrites, @inkpot-dreamer, @mvcreates, @hannahs-creations, @pens-swords-stuff, @writings-of-a-narwhal, @howtowritethings, @inexorableblob, @atbwrites, @writevevo, @elliswriting, @dogwrites, @writingonesdreams, @natalierosewrites and anyone else who wants to be brutally reminded of their excellent progress.

Girls, Girls, Girls! Tag
I was tagged by @mischiefiswritten, thank you, I don’t think I’ve ever seen this one before.
To play: Choose one of your female OCs and answer these questions as her.
I’m going to be doing this as Sparrow.
Who was/is your mother and what did she teach you?
The mother of my first life taught me a lot of things, number one being don’t name your daughters after fairy tale princesses. The mother of my second life didn’t teach me anything.... But Raina did, my adopted mom. She taught me about animals, and about a wizard, and unicorns, and the forest. She taught me how to sit in a saddle and ride a horse. I never even saw a horse before her, it was so cool =)
Do you have any sisters (blood relative or not)?
Not that I know of in this point in time. It doesn’t mean I don’t have any, though.
How has your gender shaped your path in life?
I think my eyes and being reincarnated had a lot more to do with my path than my gender. Having a curse trying to kill me and knowing that the war was going on and some of it’s backstory from the game is what made me pick my path, take the courses I chose.
What does the woman you admire look like? Who is she?
It’s Raina, of course. She might be hard to read, hard to figure out, but I know she cares. She stepped up to make sacrifices no one else would make, and didn’t bat an eye. Maybe she’s a ghost, like she looks, a shell of a woman that once existed. I don’t know. I don’t know what lies behind that still face, those twilight eyes. What the brain beneath the ash hair is thinking, or how many scars are hidden under her grayish skin. All I know is I hope I can learn how to handle the series of disasters that follow me around with her grace, her elegance, and learn how to make soldiers and monsters cower with a single, silent stare like her one day.
Why do you think women are considered the gentler sex?
*Looks over at Jalen, losing his daily battle with the house chores* Uh... I don’t think that’s necessarily true. I mean, Raina can be scary and wasn’t gentle at all with the bandits or the monsters. She definitely knows her way around her sword. Then, there’s him *points at Jalen* and he’s probably the one of the gentlest people I’ve ever met. I think it’s more of a matter of individual personalities. There’s freaken terrifying women who won’t think twice about breaking someone’s neck in this world, and then there’s men who honestly can’t stand violence.
What is a piece of your personality that you are proud of?
When I finally decide to do something, nothing and no one is going to stop me. Not lines of code, not family issues, not some stupid curse, not monsters or bandits.
When did you accept your own body and its strengths/weaknesses?
Adjusting to a baby’s body was a nightmare... like, you can’t even see. I don’t think I ever accepted it, I just did whatever it took to make it better. Then, I learned about my magic, and that was terrifying. I can’t not use it, but I can’t just do whatever I want with it, either. The growing slower than I did last lifetime is a pain too. Do you know how many years it takes a half-elf child to be able to reach a doorknob? A long time.... But, it’s my body now and I can’t really do too much complaining because it’s the only one I got. Still, I’m happy not to be a baby anymore, that sucked.

How to Know You’re In A ___ Novel - Tag Game
Tagged by the illustrious @candy687
How to know you’re in a Capricious Novel
Villains are just annoying friends you haven’t made yet. (Individual tragic justice endings vary)
MC is Frenemies with either Their Sibling, or the emotional approximation of Their Sibling.
Is it magic? Is it science? Is it science trying to understand magic, or magic trying to understand science? Maybe.
Why does this fantastical setting/device/creature exist? Looks cool? Humor? Plot? All of the above?
Absurdity that slowly gains unnecessary internal structure, because the WHY ( ... ? Whu ... ?), apparently, can never be ignored.
MC is Proud, Confident, and Self-Assured.
MC secretly hates themselves and Doesn’t Know Why.

‘get to know me’ tag game
Tagged by @howtowritethings Thank you! :) I love tag games!
what genres do you write?
My two main WIPs are high fantasy/weird west, and urban/contemporary fantasy.
what’s on your reading wishlist?
Let's see, I haven't read the most recent books by Lee Child, Anne Rice, and Philip Pullman. I need to read Clariel (sp?) by Garth Nix, because I loved the Abhorsen trilogy, and I have Neil Gaiman's Stardust on my shelf.
who is your favourite character from your current wip?
I don't play favorites. I torture them all equally.
what writing tropes do you like?
I love lots of tropes. I can see a scene and go, 'Oh, I love that trope.' BUT WHEN SOMEONE ASKS ME TO LIST THEM I CAN'T REMEMBER A SINGLE ONE
what is the story behind your wip’s name?
Someone already had the name I wanted... ;)
are you a pantser or a plotter?
I used to be a pantser, but it would always fizzle out on me about halfway. So I set up my first outline last month!
do you post your work somewhere?
For my original works, just last lines on this blog.
do you also read/write fanfic? if yes, for the same genres as what you write?
Yes! I have AO3 and FF.net accounts. My main is RaisedonRadio and my E/M rated is FortressofmyPast. For fanfics, I tend to stay with what the original fandom was, I don't write many AUs at all. So I've written fantasy, light horror, and paranormal, all in the classic fanfic genres of fluff, angst, and smut.
what is your favourite dessert? because why not.
Oh, wow. Anything, really. I love sweet things.
It didn’t mention how many to tag? So I’ll just pull a bunch from the writer peeps list from jaimistoryteller. Be sure to put your name on the list if you like tag games!

last thing i googled: ‘what is vss365?’
other blogs: I only have my main, @pninastar.
do i get asks?: no, but I’m super new to tumblr, so I don’t expect any, haha.
why this username?: Pnina is my Hebrew name (it means pearl), and I really like stargazing so I just combined the two and came up with a pen name for my Wattpad account. Super simple.

languages i speak: oof, okay. Here we go: English (native language), Spanish, French, American Sign Language, Japanese Sign Language, Chinese, Korean, German, Russian, Portuguese, and a small amount of Arabic! I’m not fluent in all of these, but I am conversational in many of them.
most iconic song: “Country Roads” by John Denver or “Hurt” by Johnny Cash.

Mila - An Introduction
As promised, here is the intro for my lovely OC, Mila!
One of the main characters in The Fall of the Black Masks, Mila was originally created as a bit of an antithesis to Ragnar, but evolved a lot from there. She’s a character that I’m constantly tweaking and improving, so don’t be surprised if you ever read the book and think, “Hmm, that’s a bit different from her OC intro.”
But, I try to be as consistent as possible, and I’m pretty confident in her character as it is now.
I don’t usually go into specifics, but for those of you who are interested in specifics, I guess I can say this:
Mila comes from Belvatria, but unlike the majority of the population, she has green eyes and lighter skin, so she tends to stick out from the crowd naturally. Add to that the fact that she constantly rejects societal convention and you get a character that really sticks out - in the way she dresses, the way she acts, the hobbies she pursues, and more.
I’m new to OC intros, so please, if you have any Qs at all about Mila, send me asks! I hope this intro lets you know a bit more about her! :D
Tag list under the cut!
Tag List (Updated May 11th 2019): @coloursintheblur, @norawritess, @trickster-writes, @clawhee-writes, @theupdatednotepad, @quartzses, @tenacious-scripturient, @sarmarble, @lilquill, @james-stark-the-writer, @idriltelcontar, @howtowritethings, @fierywords, @tea-and-pirates, @typewriter-jade, @piyosama, @holotones
This tag list comprises of all those who asked to be added for The Fall of the Black Masks. If you’d like to be added or removed, please let me know in the comments or however else you’d like.
I hope I didn’t forget anyone! I try to keep my tag lists as up to date as possible, but it I’ve missed someone, don’t hesitate to let me know!! :D

11/11/11 tag game
Tagged by @bookenders, thank you =) Rules: Answer the 11 questions, write 11 more questions, and then tag 11 people to answer your questions.
Okay, here’s their ^ questions I have to answer.
1. If someone wrote a country song for your OC, what would it be about? Would it be sad country? Angry country? Classic country?
I don’t actually know. I guess if it was Sparrow, it would probably be a cross of sad country and traditional country, because that’s pretty much the story of her life. Do something cool, and have something not so cool happen to ruin the rest of the year to the rest of her life.
2. What’s your favorite statue or sculpture?
There’s a lot I like, but I don’t know the names of any of them, or even if they have names. XD
3. Do you play any instruments? What is your favorite instrument to listen to? What is your least favorite instrument to listen to?
I don’t play any instruments. My favorite one to listen to is an acoustic guitar. Least favorite is probably synths when done in those super high notes.
4. Instead of FMK - Slow Burn, Enemies to Lovers, Fake-Date: Dumbledore, Persephone (from Greek Myth), and Gollum (NOT Sméagol, no cheating).
Sorry, but I honestly don’t even know what this question is trying to ask me >.<
5. What’s your favorite candy? Or if you can’t choose, top 5?
Chocolate, chocolate, more chocolate, and, you guessed it, chocolate. Basically, chocolate anything.
6. Which of your OCs is the worst artist? If each could design a cover for their respective WIPs, what would they create?
I honestly don’t know. Arting skills isn’t something I thought about since it really isn’t important for my current WIP. Swordskills, yes. Archery, sure. Magic, most definitely. Art? Most of them don’t have the time between surviving, little alone to write anymore than than ‘I haven’t died yet’ letters to each other.
7. What’s your favorite part of editing?
Is there a fun part of editing? If so, I haven’t found it >.<
8. Of all the notebooks/sketchbooks/etc you own, which is your favorite?
The one I write most of my poetry in. It’s got a fun design and I like how it doesn’t have a flexible cover. Makes it harder to write when the covers bend.
9. What’s one book you’re looking forward to reading?
@adenhamcreations‘s Sineater and @kaylewiswrites‘s Cold Bones Dance.
10. What kind of museums do your OCs like? What museums do you like?
They don’t really exist in the world of The Plight of a Sparrow, aside from maybe an eccentric High Elf or noble, and maybe a few obsessive scholars who want to preserve history. Do they let the common people in? Most certainly not. Though Sparrow would have had experiences with museums in her past life, and I get the feeling she’d like ones that displayed armor and old weapons... because that’s the type of sword her character uses over there, and that suit of armor looks kind of what her first character wore, and is that a real bow? They look smaller in the game, ect.
11. How many of your OCs does it take to change a light bulb?
They shall never find out because light bulbs do not exist in their world >=D (Okay, one if you count Sparrow, but it’s been ages since she was last in her homeworld and had to deal with a lightbulb, so who knows how many light bulbs it would take for her to remember how it’s done.)
Tagging: @cadewrites, @inexorableblob, @carmenwrites, @howtowritethings, @savannahscripts, @tenacious-scripturient, @savannahscripts, @athiefswarwriteblr, @audgewrites, @mischiefiswritten, @hyba, @pluttskutt, @badass-rebel-babe, @rebelwritingwild, and anyone else who wants to join in.
My questions for you guys:
1. Twenty seconds from doom, what is your character’s last thoughts/dying wishes?
2. Which is more musical? The tapping of a keyboard or the sound of a pen/pencil on paper?
3. Hardest part of writing for you?
4. Best part of writing for you?
5. Did you ever want to be something besides a writer?
6. What is the cutest thing in the world to your character?
7. Best compliment you ever got on your writing, ever?
8. Most encouraging thing anyone has said to inspire you to keep writing?
9. Favorite quote?
10. Favorite word to say out loud?
11. One thing you would say to another writer who is discouraged?

How Cuddleable Are Your OCs?
Tagged by @nkta-ink  (took ... a while - to get to, but right now I’m itching to try it out)
Bea: 4/10. Just barely below dead average. If you actually started to cuddle with her, it’d be super cute, and all around a great time. But that’s not viable to happen because she’s pretty averse to being touched by strangers. She’s generally in ‘Nope, nope, nope,’ mode when it comes to acquaintances. And if you’re a friend - she’s liable to feel more awkward than anything else the whole while.
***
Abby: 7/10. If the name of the game is to cuddle, then you better prepare to get cuddled. She’ll take it as a challenge, and you WILL feel loved and supported. If, of course, she’s the one in need of a hug, it’s because she failed stoically, and will take the consolatory popcorn and a movie with plenty of soothing ice cream like the reward she rightfully deserves after such an unwarranted loss.
Rylee: 9/10. He is the King of Cuddles. His body is perfectly suited for the activity. Pudgy and soft in all the right places, yet firm and solid to make you feel safe and protected. He takes your comfort very seriously, almost too seriously, and will be by your side with a crashing hug instantly if full on Mama Bear activates. Fortunately, his common sense keeps him mostly reserved and at bay, else-wise, you only have to say ‘get off, get off, get off!’ half a dozen times before he actually believes you (most usually succumb to the embrace before that point).
Derek: 1/10. Hug at your own risk. The actual act of cuddling with Derek would be, once again, quite nice I imagine. His easy going attitude and mischievous penchant for fun would create the ultimate take on lighthearted physical contact. Be it lazing across your lap, snatching you up in a quick breathtaking squeeze, or mindlessly fiddling with your hair while lounging. But be warned. This level of intimacy is like the mythical holy grail. Covered with traps and dangers along the way - one wrong move, could literally kill you.
***
*** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** ***
Pieter: 5/10. He’s hard to get relaxed enough, but otherwise decent.
Dee: 7/10. Not much practice, but she knows how she would want to be cuddled and pointedly works her way towards your personal preferences from there.
Patrick: 8/10. Very relaxing. Very comfortable. Very chill. Very fun. He’s not even thinking about it and slowly you aren’t thinking about whatever might be troubling you either.
Francis: 3/10. Stiff. She doesn’t see the point. But at rare moments, she’ll latch on tight, maybe uncomfortably so, and if you’re not pure evil, you’ll wait it out and let her, 100% willingly.
Alice: 8/10. A super great time. Very cuddly in general. Her smile alone practically invites you to open your arms and fall into a hug, or so it feels. Sometimes she just looks that way, but really her thoughts could be anywhere else.
***
Thatcher: 6/10. The feeling is there, but in practice it never turns out as well as hoped. He wants to give All The Hugs, but refrains because its almost always more uncomfortable than he initially imagined. Still, he knows that one day ...
Rani: 2/10. Serviceable. You’re basically her inanimate pillow, hers for the twisting and squashing and molding to her needs. It doesn’t even occur to her that you might be uncomfortable, so be prepared to state your needs clearly.
Alyssa: 10/10. They have magic. They must have. They MUST HAVE. You feel trapped under a wild, sleeping, wolf. How does something that dangerous feel this blissful?

get to know me’ tag game
I am sooo sorry this took half a century. I really like these tag games so keep tagging me, even if i’m slow af. A big thanks to @howtowritethings
what genres do you write?
Mostly sci fi and urban fantasy. Sometimes,i dip into just regular fiction.
what’s on your reading wishlist?
Still on the quest to read all the happy lgbt books necessary before i write my lesbian twilight, so I want to read “Everything leads to you”, “Carry On” and “Not your sidekick”. If anyone can recommend some books about lesbians with a happy ending, maybe new adult instead of YA  that would be swell. I’m already old and I felt 179 years older reading about all these teens.
who is your favourite character from your current wip?
So, Dafne Everson is 33 years old, tall, skinny, with long ginger hair, hooked nose and olive skin full of freckles. She’s an award winning journalist famous for cracking really big, earth (or should i say Jord) shattering cases. She is known for her fiery temper and brutal honesty. But, at the same time, she kinda hates herself because she knows so much more; the real secrets, ones that can destroy the people who have all the power, but she keeps her mouth shut. And no matter how much she tries to make it seem like she’s only doing the right thing, she never really bough that.
She is very close with her younger sister and her dad who she adores, but has a really bad relationship with her mom (which is kinda funny cuz they look similar). Once got  knocked out for breaking into a pretzel factory. Officiated the marriage between her friend and the guy he met like 4 days before. Has a collection of flowery scarves she hides her hair under when she’s trying to sneak into places. Keeps buying, renovating and selling apartments in hopes she’ll settle down one day. Will raid your fridge and eat your snacks.
She’s a pansexual mess and I looove writing her.
what writing tropes do you like?
Sassy characters, science lesbians, conspiracies covered up by another layer of conspiracies.
what is the story behind your wip’s name?
Phantom Limb was Phantom Limb since the first moment I stared writing it. Maybe I should change it, Elma find it creepy and my other friend called it “Phantom of the Limb” which has to be the Phantom of the Opera AU where they teach you about human anatomy.
A Better Word tried to murder me multiple times while i tried to figure out its name. But, then i realized i used that damn phrase like 894 times and it just clicked.
are you a pantser or a plotter?
Plotter for the most part. i can’t pants, i just get lost and confused. i need to be lead like a sheep.
do you post your work somewhere?
Bold of you to assume anyone wants to read it.
However, I have published two short stories. Felt very good.  10/10, would recommend.
do you also read/write fanfic? if yes, for the same genres as what you write?
I have written a few fanfics in my life and they are on my fanfiction.net account. Yes, they were superwholock, don’t @ me. One of them still occasionally gets comments and it’s the stupidest/best thing i have written that year.
what is your favourite dessert? because why not.
Tumblr media
This cheap fu**er right here. made by tony štark himself, but any brand will do tho.
I would like to tag @chalky-charlie, @katekyo-bitch-reborn @deepintoforestwego

How to know you’re in a Haroldosaur novel
tagged by @howtowritethings on my main, @haroldosaur, but that’s okay :P
Right, I remember doing this once before, but I remember basically nothing of what I wrote. Perfect combination.
HOW TO KNOW YOU’RE IN A HAROLDOSAUR NOVEL
Dialogue, there’s gonna be a lot of dialogue
On the SUBJECT of dialogue, everyone is generally quite quippy, smart-ass-esque, sarcastic, e.t.c
There is. Almost definitely romance somewhere (I’M A HOPELESS ROMANTIC ON MAIN)
Superpowers? Most likely superpowers
I use the same cast a lot of the time, so if you see some characters called Dante, Gaia, Rose, Jacen, Norik... they may well be mine xD
Some of you may die. That is a sacrifice I am willing to make.
uuuh I already said superpowers
DARN
Found family? General closeness
I’m not experienced at writing asshole characters so most of my protagonists are pretty nice people (and they all love each other, even if they don’t wanna admit it)
Rule of cool? Possibly? I do have a habit of choosing things that would be cool over things that would make sense, a little bit
If you are a character of mine you are socially awkward to some degree
If you are a character of mine you are either outright autistic or have,,, like a trait or two based on it
That’s what happens when the author is autistic LMAO
(The latter two points are probably related)
Aaaand that’s all of the top of my head! Tagging @sassypandacandy and @ghost-possum

russian aesthetics tag game
Thank you @howtowritethings :D
rule: bold whatever applies to your chosen character.
I feel Crystal-y. Let’s do it.
BROTHERS KARAMAZOV: orthodox monasteries, deep woods, starry nights,  the sound of paper being torn, dimly lit rooms, withered roses, an unfinished letter, piles of books, the sound of shattering glass, ticking of clocks in a silent house, heavy wooden furniture, the air before a storm, the smell of earth, a crowd of people dressed in black, distant murmurs, emptied streets, the fear of walking alone in dusk.
CRIME AND PUNISHMENT: coldness of the skin against a blade, slender pale fingers & slightly shaking hands, a red stain blooming on white fabric, lonely steps in a corridor, the slow dripping of water, looking out of the window into the thickening darkness, a single dying candle on the table, listening to one’s breath & counting heartbeats, too many stairs, the desire to be invisible, a subtle memory of kind words.
THE IDIOT: classical statues, wealth covered with dust, a dark house tainted with inherited madness, an unsettling feeling, long walks in a park, useless chatter, a silken ribbon forgotten on a bench, a melancholic face, an unexpected spring rain, the joy of reading one’s favorite book, the clarity of mind after fully perceiving the world around, looking at cloudless sky.
ANNA KARENINA: fields of crops, flowers brought from an early morning walk, the wind caressing a girl’s hair,  a bowl of fruit,  the smell of ripe pears, the clatter of a spoon against porcelain when stirring tea, children’s laughter coming from the garden, soft sunlight & white curtains, the sensation of velvet against skin, pearls from a ripped necklace spilling on marble floor, a sudden silence in a room full of people.
WAR AND PEACE: a glass of wine, the brightness of a crystal chandelier, white lace, a raging snowstorm, the sound of a door being gently closed,  the moment of holding one’s breath before walking in a ballroom, indulging in looking at a beautiful earring against light, closing one’s eyes for a moment while dancing,  the sweet smell of strawberries, a pair of gloves left on an armchair,  light scent of powder.
THE MASTER AND MARGARITA: the chaos of a lively city,  ambient jazz in an expensive restaurant, jumping on a moving tram, the sight of Moscow from the roof of a house, yellow flowers in a vase, leaning out of the window, shelves stacked with books, a small tin box with old photographs, strange shapes in the night sky, laughing in the middle of the night on a balcony, colorful posters for a surreptitious magician’s show floating in the wind.
EUGENE ONEGIN: a lonely mansion, reading a book in the parlour, faint piano melody lingering in falling silence, long evenings, passing seasons,  discussing french novels of the moment, unspoken thoughts, leaning against the door frame, quickly averted glance, eating a peach absent-minded, bright mornings, footprints in snow, a loud gun-shot terrifying a flock of birds nearby.
FATHERS AND SONS: birch groves, morning mist, moss-covered stones near a moor, scientific books, white roses, cheap champagne, shabby pocket-watch, light-hearted irony, a maladroit cello sonata, freshly mowed grass, letting thoughts come & go, a slow yawn, picturesque plates & bowls filled with traditional dishes, drinking tea on the porch.
DOCTOR ZHIVAGO: a strange feeling of loss, writing poems in a diary,   traveling by train, the hesitation before touching someone’s hand, the gaze of one lost in thought,  the warmth of cinnamon, a scarf brightly embellished with flowers, a glass of water, a threadbare jacket, the tempting void, the evanescent serenity of yesterday.
CHERRY ORCHARD: a lone chair in an empty room, falling blossoms,  old samovar, the unsettling need for change, a mirror reflecting full moon, the disappointment of a glossy object turning worthless after second glance, a piano out of tune

@rebelwritingwild tagged me for this awesome new tag game she built, thank you <3
This is designed to help you set apart your characters from just being stereotypes, boring archetypes, or anything else. I’m sure that isn’t a problem for any of you guys since y'all seem like creative evil geniuses. So. Let’s do this.Rules: Pick up to three(3) of your characters and assign them an archetype or trope they fit. Then say why they don’t wholly fit that trope.
1. Sparrow, Adaptional Badass.
An adaptional badass is a character that starts off whimpy and as the story progresses becomes this legendary hero or fighter. The thing about Sparrow is, she always had her greatest strength, her determination. She just never realized it before she died because her passion about her favorite video game was about the only she set her mind too before she was forced to adapt to her second life.
2. Crescent - Chosen One.
A chosen one is a hero picked by something (gods, a magic sword in a stone, ect.) to save the world.
Crescent actually doesn’t see his chosen one status as an advantage or something to be happy about. To him, it’s just an obligation, a duty, something he has to complete before he can live his own life. It’s really no so much that he wants to save the world, it’s that he has to in order to earn his place in it. Everyone summed up his worth to his role, and they’re forcing him to play it.
3. Raina - Mother Figure.
A mother figure is a character that watches over and guides younger characters.
Yes, she is an extremely protective mother bear for Sparrow, but she shows very little emotions and attachments. Her guidance is usually warnings ‘Don’t show your ears.’ And she’s not really all that warm of a character, or talkative. She chooses actions over words, and her greatest display of love for Sparrow was joining a war she cares nothing for to make sure Sparrow would have as much of an advantage as she could get in this life. But that puts more distance between the pair.

Tag game
I was tagged by @dczwrites, thank you =)
1. I know writers often talk about their favorite books, but how about your favorite movie?
Hm, this is a tough one, because I don’t watch movies all that often XD I did really enjoy The Croods, I do love Good Morning Vietnam, and The Lord of the Rings movies.
2. If your work is translated into other languages, will you buy copies in those languages? If you’re multilingual, what about languages you don’t understand?
I’m not sure, I’ve never thought about it before ^^’
3. Describe your ideal writing environment.
I prefer to write in the comfort and privacy of my room.
4. What is your biggest pet peeve in a book?
Slow starts, you will lose me almost every time with a slow start. And if I don’t click with the characters, I can’t stick with the book, either.
5. Where do you want to be, as a writer, in twenty years?
Twenty years from now I'd love to have The Plight of a Sparrow series finished, published, and get The Silver Tiger Triology done along with a poetry collection or two too. It’d be nice to have them paying the bills and have my current projects finished and published, but we’ll see. Two decades is a long time and a lot can change quickly.
6. Do you have a soundtrack in mind for your book? If so, what is one song you’ve picked for it?
Not really? I do have a playlist I listen to while I write, but I mostly do so so it can set the mood while simultaneously ignored. ^^’
7. Would you like to have your book(s) illustrated? Why or why not? If so, what style would you prefer?
Not really. I’ve never, personally gotten much out of illustrations in books. They can be really nice, but they slow down reading. Even as a kid it was ‘Oh, pretty, but where did the words go?’
8. Where do you sit on the slow-and-steady versus get-it-all-out-fast spectrum of first-draft writing?
I didn’t even know there was a spectrum XD My pace depends solely on my mood. I can spend three hours getting three paragraphs down, or have 10,000+ words written in a single night. My usual pace is 1,500 per day on my main project. I don’t know if that’s fast or slow, but it’s my pace and it works for me. *shrugs*
9. What is your reaction when people you don’t know very well hear you’re a writer and ask what your book is about?
I never even know what to say about my WIPs with people I do know, little alone to people I don’t know XD
10. What is a genre that you haven’t written yet but would like to explore one day?
No clue *shrugs* I don’t really know much about genres. I’ve always just picked up a book and read it if I liked it. I also write whatever I like. So, odds are, if there is a genre I haven’t written, it’s because I didn’t like reading it or never ran across it before.
11. Do you often find parts of yourself or others in your characters? If so, is it intentional or accidental?
Yes, and it’s an accident, usually. Sometimes I purposely use people I know to help shape a character, but usually I find these quirks and such that so and so has in my story.
