यह हरियाणा में फरीदाबाद स्थित Nirogam की कहानी है जो एक इंजीनियरिंग कॉलेज ड्रॉपआउट पुनीत अग्रवाल द्वारा शुरू किया गया एक ऑनलाइन आयुर्वैदिक स्टोर है। उस समय पुनीत को स्टार्ट-अप्स, वीसी, फंडिंग आदि के बारे में जानकारी नहीं थी । उन्होंने तो एक आम व्यापारी की तरह इसकी शुरुआत की थी। धन की आवश्यकता होने पर बैंक से लोन लिया। USA, UK में इंटरनेट बूम आने का फायदा उन्हें मिला। आइए जानते हैं कैसे पुनीत इंजीनियरिंग कॉलेज छोड़कर, आयुर्वेदिक दवाइयां बेचने लगे।

संघर्षकाल

पुनीत अग्रवाल अपने स्कूल के दिनों में, बारहवीं कक्षा के साथ-साथ IIT इंजीनियरिंग में प्रवेश के लिए कोचिंग कोर्स भी कर रहे थे। अगस्त 1995 में भारत में वर्ल्ड वाइड वेब (WWW) की शुरुआत हुई। इसके कुछ महीनों बाद ही पुनीत ने WWW का उपयोग करके पैसे कमाने के लिए रास्ते खोजने शुरू किए। जल्दी ही उन्होंने अपनी website बनाने वालों को web space बेचना शुरू कर दिया, साथ ही HTML सीख कर वेबसाइट बनाने में लोगों की मदद करने लगे। वह लोगों को ईमेल भेजने में सहायता करते थे। एक ईमेल भेजने के लिए ₹25 चार्ज करते थे।

इसी काम के दौरान में डॉ पुष्पा खन्ना के संपर्क में आए, जिन्हें अपने रिसर्च को छापने के लिए एक नए वेब पेज की जरूरत थी। डॉ खन्ना चाहतीं थीं कि पुनीत उनके लिए यूनिवर्सिटीज़ के साथ, उनक�� रिसर्च पर बातचीत करें��� डॉ खन्ना ने डायबिटीज के लिए करेले से कोई दवाई खोजी थी, जिसे उन्होंने “गौर दिन” नाम दिया था। डॉक्टर इस दवाई को बेचने में भी पुनीत का सहयोग चाहती थी। दूसरी तरफ पुनीत को पैसे की जरूरत थी। उनके पिता की फैक्ट्री मजदूरों की हड़ताल की वजह से बंद हो गई थी, इसलिए उन्हें कुछ जल्दी करना था जिससे वह अपने परिवार के लिए रोटी कमाने में सक्षम हो सकें। डॉ खन्ना का डायबिटीज उपचार तैयार था। डायबिटीज एक बहुत बड़ी समस्या थी, इसलिए उसे लेने वालों की कमी नहीं थी।

ऑनलाइन आयुर्वेदिक स्टोर की शुरुआत

डॉ खन्ना के रिसर्च कार्य के दौरान, पुनीत सभी यूनिवर्सिटीज को ईमेल से संपर्क करते थे और जब उनका प्रोडक्ट लांच हुआ तो पुनीत के पास ई-मेल का एक बड़ा डेटाबेस मौजूद था। आज जिसे ई मार्केटिंग कहा जाता है, उस समय में पुनीत से यह काम अनजाने में ही हो गया था। उन्होंने पहले महीने में अपने प्रोडक्ट की कीमत यूएस डॉलर 35 लगाई। पहले महीने में बारह बोतलें बिकीं, अगले महीने 18 बिकीं।

पुनीत कहते हैं सन 2000 में प्रतियोगिता के अभाव में इंटरनेट पर मार्केटिंग आसान थी। भारत में तो कोई ई-मार्केट ही नहीं थी। स्पष्ट रूप से पुनीत यह प्रोडक्ट USA में बेचना चाहते थे, जहां ई-कॉमर्स की लहर चल रही थी। इसके अलावा उस समय सप्लीमेंट बेचने वाली कोई साइट नहीं थी, इसलिए सफलता थोड़ी आसान हो गयी। आयुर्वेद को वहां लोग अपनाना तो चाहते हैं परंतु नहीं जानते कैसे कदम उठाया जाए। वे पहला कदम उठाने से डरते हैं। विदेशो में लोगों को यह नहीं पता की भरोसेमंद दवाईयां और डॉक्टर्स कहा मिलेंगे।

फेसबुक और रिलायंस जियो के भी इवेंट

मीडिया इवेंट के पहले दिन फेसबुक और रिलायंस जियो के भी इवेंट होंगे। ऐसा माना जा रहा है कि ये दोनो कंपनियां ऑटो से संबंधित नई टेक्नोलॉजी पेश कर सकती है। ज्यादातर कंपनियां अब इलेक्ट्रिक व्हीकल और कनेक्टेड टेक्नोलॉजी पर फोकस कर रही हैं। इसी से जुड़ी नई तकनीक ला सकती हैं।
