Headcanons Timelined

Before The Events Of Harry Potter Series

* Lily once asked Remus out in front of James, just to annoy him. Remus was so shocked, he stood there and didn’t say anything, eventually excusing himself to use the restroom.

* Lily once met Sirius in his Animagus form before she knew their secret. She let him lick her face and played with him for half an hour before an unusually angry James Potter dragged the dog away.

* Harry's first word was 'Pafoo' (Padfoot). He first said this when Sirius unexpectedly entered into the Potter's kitchen. James, Lily and especially Sirius were proud of the 11 month old baby.

* James was secretly one of McGonagall's favorite students. He excelled in Transfiguration, though he didn’t care to hand his homework essays in unless she threatened to take away Quidditch. He was clever and knew the right answers. She was proud of him when they won the Quidditch Cup and when he finally got Lily to say “I do.” She was half rooting for him the whole time.

During Harry Potter Series

* While dating Dean and Michael, Ginny was constantly comparing them to Harry.

* Mrs. Weasley didn't make Harry that first Weasley sweater because she was being nice -- she made it because she was so grateful that Ron, her youngest son who always felt second best to his older brothers, had a best friend all to himself. It wasn't pity or random kindness. She just wanted to find a way to thank the boy who made Ron's letters home such a joy to read.

* During the many dinners spent at Grimmauld Place, Sirius grew to become particularly fond of the Weasley twins. They exchanged countless stories about the pranks they pulled at school, and compared detention records.

* Upon walking down the great hall to be sorted, Neville Longbottom considered asking the Sorting Hat to place him in Gryffindor. He decided not to; and to his complete surprise, he became a lion anyway.

* On May 2nd, 1998 every witch and wizard held a moment of silence for the ones who died during the First and Second Wizarding War. When the respectful silence ended millions of different coloured sparks could be seen shooting up into the night sky.

* Severus Snape didn’t see himself and Lily happily married together in the mirror of Erised. He only saw Lily, happy and smiling, proving how strong and selfless his love for her really was.

* To conjure a Patronus, Luna thought of the D.A. meetings. They were her happiest memories, where she met her best friends.

* Severus Snape never liked having Ginny Weasley in class because when he saw her out of the corner of his eye, for a split second he always thought it was Lily.

* While working at Weasley's Wizard Wheezes, the twins often wore name tags labelled "Gred" and "Forge”.

After Harry Potter Series Ended

* James got one more O.W.L. than his father: History of Magic. The exam was the easiest one, seeing as the majority of questions were about Harry.

* When Harry and Hermione came over to help Arthur Weasley set up the television he asked them hundreds of questions, most of them about how electricity worked. He had to be restrained from trying to electrocute himself because he wanted to see "Just exactly how it felt".

* One day Albus Severus was roaming the castle when he came across a portrait of a hook-nosed, greasy haired man who wore all black. “So you must be Potter's spawn, eh?” Snape sneered. Albus said “I’m sorry my brother James bothers you. I am Albus. Albus Severus.” Snape looked down into Albus’ eyes- the green eyes- Lily Potter once had. For the first time in a long time, Snape smiled. A true smile. “And I am Severus Snape.”

* Albus Severus Potter often visited the portrait of Severus Snape, and they would have long talks about Hogwarts and Potions in particular. Once when Albus was just about to get on the Hogwarts Express, he was talking to his father about Snape and how he thought he was a charming man. Harry asked him what Snape’s portrait was like, he told him that it was dark and bland, with potion vials scattered around and books in heaps on the floor. Harry wasn't surprised; he pictured the potions dungeons in his head from when he was at Hogwarts. However, when Albus proceeded to tell Harry that on the desk in Snape’s portrait stood a vase of lilies, which seemed to be the brightest and prettiest thing in the picture, Harry let out a little smile, hugged Albus and continued to help him get his trunk onto the carriage.

* Ron was helping Hugo with his spells one day, and Hugo mispronounced Wingardium Leviosa. Ron said, "It's Leviosa, not Leviosah." Hermione caught his eye, and they laughed for a good few minutes, much to Hugo's curiosity.

* Harry kept all of the sweaters Molly knitted for him over the years. When she saw them folded in his cupboard one day, she cried.

* George sent along with a box of Custard Creams with Roxanne as a gift to Neville on her first day of Hogwarts. She didn't speak to her father for a week when her Herbology professor turned into a canary in the middle of class.

* When a young Teddy Lupin was told his father was a werewolf, he thought he had the coolest dad ever.

* Lily, Rose and Roxanne's parents never bought them any pink cardigans.

* Neville Longbottom's son was sorted into Gryffindor before the Sorting Hat even touched his head.

* If Harry were to look in the mirror of Erised today, he wouldn't see anything different.

* James and Fred both broke their namesakes' detention records. George developed a device sold at the shop which detected any cheats or scams. It was called the Lying Ludo.

* Hagrid visited Norberta in Romania. She recognized her ‘Mummy.’

* Neville tried to return the sword of Gryffindor to Harry after the battle, but Harry didn’t accept – the one thing that the Ministry had gotten right was that the sword was never Dumbledore’s to give. It now rests in Professor Longbottom’s office, waiting to be called by another worthy Gryffindor.

* After the war, Neville went and visited his parents at St. Mungo’s to explain the end of Voldemort’s reign. He knew they wouldn’t understand, but they deserved to know – it was what they had been fighting for all along.

* There was always a vase of fresh lilies in the Potter home.

* Percy made a point to see his father at the ministry every day after they both returned to work.

* When Hermione told Ron she was pregnant, it was the single most terrifying moment of his life. It was also the happiest.

* Narcissa Malfoy never truly forgave Molly for killing her sister but understood why she did it.

* Hugo and Rose always run to their father for sweets – Hermione is still the daughter of two dentists.

* Rose once came across a selection of books penned by Gilderoy Lockhart in her mother’s library. Her father confiscated them and muttered something about “pompous prat.”

* In the Granger-Weasley household, it was always Hermione who stepped up to kill the spiders.

* Neville didn’t buy his son a pet toad.

* Draco’s nurturing upbringing of Scorpius was inspired by his own father: he did everything Lucius didn’t.

* Hermione and her parents spent hours attempting to explain to Arthur Weasley how airplanes stay up. He still didn’t quite understand the concept.

* James and Fred annoyed everyone by constantly Apparating from room to room, sometimes accidentally landing on top of people.

* Teddy Lupin was slightly distraught at not becoming a prefect, for he knew his father had been one. “I’m sure you just lack certain qualities,” Harry told him, “like the ability to behave yourself.” Teddy was puzzled until Harry explained those were the words of his mother.

* On those rare occasions that Harry would visit Dudley’s family, he still called him ‘Big D.’

* Ron’s kids found the infamous Yule Ball dress robes hanging in his cupboard once. The teasing lasted for weeks.

* Ginny was disappointed when her son James's first word was ‘buddy 'ell’ (bloody hell) after spending too much time with his Uncle Ron.

* When Ron suggested his children a homework planner, Hermione dropped the pot she was holding and beamed with happiness.

* After failing to secure her father’s attention during a particularly noisy family dinner at the burrow, Rose angrily screeched “Won-Won!” The entire room fell silent, and Ron’s face flushed a brilliant red until Hermione simply burst out laughing.

* Hugo never really understood why his father was so adamant about the fact that no good ever came from entering a girls’ bathroom.

* Neville Longbottom gives the best advice to his students and is viewed as a mentor. A frightened young first-year once approached him with concerns about a bully. Neville looked him in the eyes and told him that he was worth twelve of that coward.

* When Ron proposed to Hermione, he fumbled with the ring and almost dropped it down the sewer. When Hermione said yes, he was shocked and Hermione simply replied with ”Always the tone of surprise.”

* Fred had actually never heard Percy joke. At Fred's funeral, Percy promised him he'd lighten up. And since then, he had. Every year on the anniversary of his death, Percy visited Fred's grave in the dead of night. Instead of placing roses, he put a pile of dragon dung next to it. Every year, he whispered, "Yeah, I was the world's biggest prat." When George arrived later in the day, he always wondered who the prankster was.

* Scorpius doesn’t understand why his father always squirms at the mere mention of ferrets.

* George's proposal to Angelina wasn't planned. George and Angelina had been together for a while and had never discussed marriage. One night at a big Weasley family party, a conversation arose between George, Percy, and Ron. Percy and Audrey had recently gotten married and Ron and Hermione were engaged. Ron started joking with George about marrying Angelina when Percy asked if he had even thought about the idea.

Percy, who still didn't have the best sense of humor, continued, "George you're an adult and you should really start acting like it." "Fine," George replied, and taking inspiration from his twin brother he stood up and said:

"Oi! Angelina!" She looked up from her conversation with Ginny and Fleur. "Want to marry me?" asked George.

Though she was very surprised she smiled coyly and said, "All right, then" and continued on with her conversation. George sat back down and looked at his brother Percy who looked absolutely stunned. Remembering a very similar conversation in his fourth year of school Ron patted George on the back and said, "Piece of cake."

* When Fred and Roxanne were very young, Fred constantly played sneaky pranks on his little sister. One day, when Roxanne was reduced to tears after Fred stole her Pygmy puff, George introduced his daughter to the punching telescope. Angelina scolded her husband fiercely when Fred came downstairs one morning with a black eye.

* To tell Harry she was pregnant, Ginny took him to Godric's Hollow. She knew he wanted to name them after his parents, so what better place to tell him? It was time to make new, happier memories there anyway. Hermione broke the news to Ron that she was pregnant for the first time by using a Christmas gift. It was a Chudley Cannons baby outfit.

* When Ron and Hermione were deciding on what color to paint their room in, Ron had joked saying 'Lavender'. Hermione didn't speak to him for a week, and vowed to get revenge. When Hugo was born and they were deciding on baby names, Hermione said in all seriousness, that she was dying to name the baby Viktor II. Ron never used the name Lavender again.

* The members of the D.A. consider their charmed galleons as one of their most prized possessions. Luna Lovegood made a necklace out of hers.

* When asked about the significance of Chocolate Frog cards, Ron explained to his children that they were wizards of great significance in the Wizarding World. Rose replied by inquisitively asking him why he was on one.

* James, Rose, Albus, Hugo, and Lily all complained about never going camping. Their parents simply wouldn't budge on their firm 'NO.'

* Shortly after the war, Hermione gave Ron her book of Muggle fairy tales so that he could understand that no, Cinderella was not an illness.

* Harry Potter regrets the day he taught his sons "Levicorpus."

* None of the kids understood why there was an unidentifiable Weasley cousin called Barney in Fleur and Bill's wedding photos.

* Scorpius Malfoy excelled in Care of Magical Creatures, much to his father’s disbelief.

* James snuck his namesake’s motorbike out of the garage to take it for a spin quite often. One summer, he crashed it unknown to his parents. When they finally found out, he received a Howler at breakfast in the great hall one morning. It had been Ron’s idea.

*When Rose was a little girl, she used to wish she was a cat. Her mother would reply quite firmly that no, being a cat was not all that enjoyable.

* Seamus Finnigan didn’t allow his son to play with matches, for fear of his underage magical talent coming to fruition.

* Whilst playing for the Holyhead Harpies Ginny was hit on the back of the head by a Bludger, she fell off her broom and ended up unconscious for a few days. When she woke up the first thing she saw was Harry asleep in a chair next to her bed. This is when she decided to settle down, marry him, and have children. She was just waiting to make sure he wouldn’t leave again. The sight of him there reassured her he never would.

* Every Christmas since the Battle of Hogwarts, Harry tried to have something to represent every victim he had known on the Christmas tree. For Dobby, there was a pair of odd socks. For Mad-Eye, there were round chocolates covered with foil to look the eyeballs. For Fred, there was a little angel with a cheeky grin and a flame of ginger hair. For Colin, there was a tiny silver camera... For Tonks, there was a small star which changed colour. For Remus, there was a wolf which was near the star, watching over it. For Snape, there was a Lily that was entwined in the tree's pines. And for Hedwig, there was a toy owl on top of the tree.

* When they were at the end of their second year, Rose, Scorpius, and Al figured out a way to enchant their notebooks to work as a three-way note system. One person would write something and it would appear in the other two notebooks. The three friends used this method of communication all throughout their years at Hogwarts.

* When Hermione went back to Hogwarts, Ron gave her his favorite jumper to take with her. Hermione thought it might have been the most romantic thing he’d ever done. It was old and had a few holes in it and was much too big for her, but she rarely took it off.

* Harry was there for Umbridge's trial. She pleaded not guilty, that she was under the Imperius Curse the whole time. She kept on asking Harry to back her up. Esmerelda Marchbanks called upon Harry to confirm Umbridge’s story. "Potter, tell them the truth! Tell them I was under the Imperius Curse! I feel remorse! Please, tell them!" Harry simply looked at Dolores Jane Umbridge and said: "I’m sorry Professor, I must not tell lies

WHY DOES NO ONE TALK ABOUT HOW MUCH PTSD THE GOLDEN TRIO/EVERY WEASLEY KID/ALL THEIR PEERS WOULD HAVE WHEN RAISING THEIR KIDS???

Like seriously- I NEVER EVER see it. It's all how lovely life would be, the peace, how they could finally live a comfortable life- gurl what??

Harry, Ron Hermione were 17. Do you remember being 17? Yeah, take that mindset and imagine going through a goddamn war, one that alllll revolved around you/your best friend succeeding and if it didn't happen, there would be a dark age like no one had ever seen.

⚡️Harry would keep having nightmares, probably forever. There would probably be days where he laid in bed, unable to move due to the consuming guilt and/or depression which would just add more guilt and depression when he got out of it as he left Ginny to care for their kids and would wake to figure out he missed out on core memories of his children. Sometimes, desperate to see him, James, Albus and Lily would just lay there with him in silence. They witnessed their father go through periods of being totally present, totally happy and then he would randomly just look into the floor as if he was no longer there- his flashbacks were always quiet.

💫Ron, I feel, might end up going through substance addiction to deal with the loss of his brother coupled with moments of anger or just random, unjustified annoyance- the same goes for George and this would extremely strain their romantic relationships. He would most likely have flashbacks of countless moments of fear, would hear Hermione's screams at night, would see his brother's dead body upon that stone ground. Rose and Hugo felt so loved by their father, but also aprehensive because at any moment, his mood could switch.

🌙Hermione would have phases of constantly putting herself into intense moments of focus- her work, the kids, anything to keep her mind occupied out of fear those random moments where her arm burned or the memories of her husband spliced would return full force. She would eventually breakdown, her mind strained due to always, all the time, trying to ignore it all. Rose and Hugo witnessed this constantly- one minute she's fine, the next she's sobbing on the floor and Ron was barking at them to go to their room so they didn't have to be there for it, so they could leave him to console her.

☀️I feel like Ginny remained strong for her siblings, parents & Harry after the war to a degree that she ignored her own emotions and turmoil. Entirely. And then, finally when James was born, what was only supposed to be a flicker of post-partum went full fucking swing due to the fact she bottled everything inside for roughly 6 years straight. And it was bad- Harry was left caring for a newborn and his wife that couldn't move, eat, or bathe on her own. She was probably the only one of them besides Hermione who got proper therapy- the boys being too stubborn. When shit was better, she found herself going through these phases of dismissive attitude towards all her children, her PTSD coming out more in anger, probably similar to Ron and George. But she was especially this way to James- because she couldn't bear to feel the guilt about not being there for him upon his birth, she tried to ignore him entirely at points until she finally realized what she was doing later on.

Then there's everyone else- they would be so fucking destroyed by what happened like??? And their kids would have to watch it- they would grow up with parents riddled with PTSD, an entire generation that had the people raising them be torn from war; some that were able to move past it, some that weren't, and some that were always somewhere in the middle.

James Sirius Potter Facts

• He loved quidditch. Like really loved it. Knew he was expected to be a seeker like his dad but being a chaser like his mum is way more fun.

• He thought he was only popular because of his family but people actually really liked him for who he was.

• Has a lot of muggle born friends because at least when he started school they had no idea who he was.

• ADHD.

• Struggles to open up to people, even the ones he’s closest to. Only started opening up more when he was diagnosed with cyclothemia.

• Even though Fred is his best friend he is probably closest to Teddy or Dom.

• He was kidnapped for 5 days when he was 9 by some remaining death eaters. He tells everyone he doesn’t remember anything but he does.

• Didn’t actually care that Albus was in Slytherin and was first to stand up and applaud after his sorting.

• He wasn’t actually that good at school. He struggles a lot with the theory side of things but he was one of the best duellers at Hogwarts so people didn’t really notice.

Edward "Teddy" Remus Lupin ((24) at main time of fic)-

-Born April 23rd, 1998

-Molly and Arthur have always considered him their first grandkid

-From ages 11 to 16 he experimented with all kinds of hair colors, never being able to settle on just one

-When he's 17 he finally settles on his classic blue hair and rocks that till he's about 21, when he goes to plain brown hair and his natural features. A little self-discovery later and he's back at his classic blue

-Despite inheriting the metamorphagus trait, he's also got several wolf qualities

-He can tell you if the milk is expired when you open the fridge by the scent, he can tell who's entering the house from upstairs by the way he hears them walking, and when he doesn't have his wand he'll probably start biting and scratching as an attack, and he does some pretty good damage

-He has a long term girlfriend named Izzy (I'm not a tedoire fan, they're cousins in this) and no one's quite sure how long they've been dating because no one knows when they went from being best friends to dating, you can't tell

-In school he had two other best friends besides Izzy, Todd and Connor. Izzy and Todd are in Gryffindor (they're also cousins) and Teddy and Connor are Hufflepuffs

-There was an attack when he was 14 (will be explained in the fic) and he didn't have his wand, so he had no choice but to go a little feral on them and he ended up killing one of them like that

-He considers James, Al, and Lily his siblings.

-He played quidditch for most of his school years, seeker, and wore the number 4

-When he starts to get older, his family and friends start to call him just Ted more. Izzy is the only one who still always calls him Teddy

-He can play the guitar

-He's never been very muscular or lean, but he's like 6'4

Victoire Gabrielle Weasley (22)- Bill and Fleur's daughter

-Born May 2nd, 2000

-She was always very focused on being pretty and proper as a child, but in her late teen years she stopped caring so much

-Fleur wanted her to attend Beaxbatons when she started school, but she transferred to Hogwarts for her fourth year and was sorted into Ravenclaw

-She was made prefect her fifth year and head girl her seventh year

-She loved living near the beach and would often read books in the sand

-She loves cooking and she's good at it, her idea of a simple meal is equivalent to a gourmet meal

-In her fifth year she starts to develop a crush on Teddy's friend Todd, a seventh year at the time. She always begs her cousin to get him to talk to her

-Her and Todd start dating in her seventh year. When things start getting bad with the war again, they decide to get married with their family while they still can.

Molly Sienna Weasley II (22)- Percy and Audrey's daughter

-Born August 5th, 2000

-She was very close to her grandmother as a child and they liked to talk about flowers with each other

-Christmas is her absolute favorite time of year and she always makes everyone go all out for it

-She was sorted into Gryffindor, but she has always preferred green more then red

-She played quidditch her 2nd, 3rd, and 4th years, but quit to focus on school

-She loves being at the burrow and she would sit around in the nearby fields during the summers off listen to music

-She has a "best friend" (they're in love with each other but don't know it) named Lilah. They've been friends since they met on the train before their first year.

-Lilah helped her cut her bangs when she was 17 and she's had then ever since

-She's very close with Victoire because of closer in age they are. They bond over their shared love of solitude time

Dominique Apolline Weasley (20)- second daughter of Bill and Fleur

-Born February 14th, 2002

-She's always been very tall, reaching 5'8 by them time she was 13

-Everyone almost exclusively calls her Dom

-She only attended Beaxbatons for one year before going to Hogwarts with Victoire

-She was pleasantly surprised when she was sorted into Gryffindor, expecting to go the same path as her sister

-She only picked up quidditch after Molly quit, taking her number, 5

-Teddy taught her how to play the guitar when she was 15

-She likes to speak French more than English

-She came out as Bi when she was 16 and Bill bought a shirt that said ally dad

-She got closer with Vic and Molly in her late teens and they are inseparable now

-She started dating a Slytherin boy, Jake Thomas when she was 17 and they get married when they were 19

Roxanne Alicia Weasley (20)- George and Angelina's daughter

-Born January 19th, 2002

-The first Weasley to be sorted into Slytherin, it was a shock at first, but everyone accepted it pretty quickly

-She worked at Wizard Wheezes every summer before she graduated and now full time. She plans to run the place one day

-People always ask if her and Freddie are twins and are surprised when she tells them that she's two years older

-They are also surprised when they're told they still have the same birthday

-She's never been close with any of her cousins and really only hangs out with Freddie

-Her dad is the only one who calls her Roxy

-She's never been interested in any romance and plans on never getting married

-She was shocked when Dom asked her to be her maid of honor, but she took the job incredibly seriously and broke down crying during the ceremony

-Her and Dom have become closer in the past year because of that

Frederick "Freddie" Gideon Weasley (18)- George and Angelina's son

-Born January 19th, 2004

-Everyone thinks it is absolutely hilarious that Roxanne and Freddie are born on the same day

-So it shouldn't have been a surprise too anyone when they basically acted like they were twins

-Since their family had already had a Fred, he decided to exclusively go by Freddie

-The third Weasley grandchild to go to Gryffindor

-He was pretty quiet in school, but would get in trouble sometimes because he hung out with Lorcan, Lysander, and James

-He also started working at Wizard Wheezes and hopes to co-own it with Roxanne

-He was the first grandchild to insist on joining the order when it was reformed

-Proudly fights whenever he can

James Sirius Potter II (18)- Harry and Ginny's son

-Born June 4th, 2004

-Harry and Ginny believe they set themselves up for failure by naming him James Sirius because he definitely takes after his namesakes

-Also sorted into Gryffindor at the surprise of nobody

-He's wanted to become a professional quidditch player since he can remember attending his mother's matches, so he makes his whole life about quidditch

-Izzy is the Gryffindor quidditch captain his first year and he gets a chaser position the same year

-There hasn't been more quidditch drive since Oliver Wood

-He fell in love with a girl named Alice when he was 15 and only got her to go out with him once they graduated

-THE ADHD child

-He's best friends with Lorcan and Lysander Scamander, Hufflepuffs, who are in his year

-He loves his siblings so much and is protective of all of them

Louis Arthur Weasley (18)- Bill and Fleur's son

-Born August 6th, 2004

-Victoire was so proud when her younger brother was sorted into Ravenclaw

-Made it clear that he was never interested in quidditch and would rather stay inside and play video games

-Fleur always dressed him very prim and proper and he continued to do that even when he grew up

-He does wear Nikes with a suit though

-He's very proud of his curls and takes care of them perfectly

-He was captain of the chess team all of his Hogwarts years, which pissed Rose off

-He loves spells and always has a spellbook on him

-Blue is his favorite color and he makes everything in his life that

-Dreams of becoming a healer and spent a lot of time with Madam Pomfrey in school

-He got a internship at St. Mungos two weeks ago and has never been more exhausted in his life

Lucille "Lucy" Abigail Weasley (17)- Percy and Audrey's second daughter

-Born April 22nd, 2005

-Everyone was expecting her to be in Gryffindor like the majority of her older cousins, but were so proud when she was placed on Hufflepuff

-She's always loved any kind of art, but she favorites her pastel crayons.

-She also has a camera and takes pictures of anything and everything

-She's very loudly and openly gay, she came out when she was 12

-George made fun of Percy when she came out, telling him he was too stuck up for his gay daughter. He went to Bill after that to figure out where he could get an ally dad shirt

-She gets so frustrated about Molly and Lilah. She's told Molly that she's gay so many times, but Molly always just laughs it off

-She only picked up quidditch in her seventh year and she took over Teddy's number 4

-Even though Molly's onliviousness annoys her, she is very close with her. They both love flowers and they taught themselves to embroider so they can put flowers on everything

Albus "Al" Severus Potter (16)- Harry and Ginny's second son

-Born August 27th, 2006

-He was always incredibly shy and often just hid behind his mother

-The day after he was sorted, he already had a letter from Roxanne, telling him that she knew it was hard to be one of the only Slytherins in the family, but that she was there for him. That made being in Slytherin a lot easier for him.

-He was always best friends with Rose, but when they got to Hogwarts they let Thomas Lovegood and Frank Longbottom II, Ravenclaws, into their friendgroup (I'll probably do stuff for these characters too since they're pretty important)

-He loves music and has a huge record collection with almost any artist you can think of

-When the war started getting bad in his fifth year, he started back up the D.A., it was less about teaching and more about fighting now though

-He loves Teddy, James, and Lily so much and he considers them some of his closest friends

-He didn't wear glasses for most of his life, but the summer after his sixth year, Ginny started noticing that he was running into things, so she took him to an eye doctor and he went into his seventh year with glasses

-Born October 26th, 2006

-She looks so much like her mother, but she definitely takes after her father

-She loves sweets and is always first in line at Honeydukes when there's a new thing to try

-Victoire always makes her be the taste tester on everything she makes, and Rose has a very refined pallette because of it

-Her socks are constantly mismatched, other than that she's very fashionable

-Her dad taught her how to play wizards chess when she was really little and she joined the club at school the first week she was there

-She was super mad that Louis was captain for as long as he was though

-She's in Gryffindor, in true Weasley fashion

-She's never considered herself smart, just enough to get by. She's very thankful that Hugo and Al are though.

-Al is her best friend in the world and she was the first to join the D.A. after he started it up again

-Born September 15th, 2007

-He's always had severe baby face, looking much younger than he is

-He's been super attached to Crookshanks since the moment he was born

-He inherited his mother's smarts and started reading by the time he was 4

-Louis insisted that he would be in Ravenclaw and Dom made fun of him when Hugo was put on Gryffindor

-He loves a sweater vest

-He didn't start playing quidditch until his second year, when James needed him to play keeper for him. They learned that he was extremely talented and they're currently training him to go professional.

-He didn't really have any friends until he started playing quidditch, where he started hanging out with the players on his and the other teams.

-Everyone is sure they will be dating at some point

-He was the reason the Weasley is our king chant got started again and he proudly wears the crown pin on his quidditch robes

-Born September 1st, 2008

-She's an exact copy of her mother, in looks and personality

-The youngest Weasley kid, also sorted into Gryffindor

-She isn’t particularly talented in academics, but she gets by just fine

-She loves listening to music with Al and she exactly where all of her favorite songs are on his records

-She knows she's bisexual, but wasn't told anyone yet

-She loves charms class and learning new spells. She always goes to Louis to learn new ones.

-She hasn't picked up quidditch yet, but has been considering it for a while now

-Her mom started putting her hair in braids and she absolutely loves it

-She's close with all of her siblings, but Teddy is secretly her favorite. He's so much older than her so he feels really cool to her.

hpng characters and how they study for exams because im literally dying rn

rose- academic weapon. need i say more. she has the pomodoro technique down pat. she’s the girl at your local library claiming an entire table with an outlet to herself so she can plug her chunky ass laptop into it and make sure it doesn’t explode on her. she has a sugary iced drink near her at all times but she only takes a sip when she feels she’s deserved it. she eats dinner at 1am because she will not let herself move from her desk until she’s completed the practicals she has laid out in front of her. but trust that she’s losing hair and she’s greasy asf and her short fuse is basically nonexistent. she’s also always randomly sick during exam prep, but her symptoms are never bad enough to warrant a doctor’s visit, it’s only hella inconvenient so she’s chugging neuyrofen and vitamin c like her life’s on the line. no special consideration for her. when she experiences one minor setback (technical malfunction, stubbed her toe, bit her tongue etc) she starts angry crying immediately. just don’t speak to her during exam time, she’ll slap you for breaking her concentration.

albus- exam period what exam period. what are you talking about. these assignments aren’t worth half of his grade what do you mean. you’re telling him the essay was due at 5pm today and not 11:59………………. number one— doesn’t cope well at all. in denial until the twenty-four hour mark before his assignments are due and then will lock in as hard as he can but it is absolutely not a pretty process. so don’t even talk to him about it before then. number two— it’s not like he was relaxing during swotvac (idk the british term for swotvac leave me alone) period, my boy was stressed asf he was just procrastinating. you know when you’re too stressed to do literally anything. albus is a prisoner during exam period free my boy. he can’t study, he can’t relax. when he fucks up because of his poor time management he will psychoanalyse everything about himself and convince himself he’s the stupidest mammal to walk on two legs with five fingers. the mental abuse he puts himself through after submitting the shittiest 2000 word essay is crazy. but he is an affront to the english language (he’s surprisingly alright at exams cuz he’s really good at bulshitting, just don’t make him write anything longform 😭 he can’t back up his impassioned opinions with any evidence ok)

victoire- she is the influencer on studytok that makes studying for eight hours straight look like the most aesthetically pleasing pastime ever. her skin is clean, her hair is washed, her clothes are pressed, her eating and sleeping schedule is routine. she’s so not real.

james- most people think he’s an academic weapon because most people will just see the results he gets at the end of the marking period and conclude he’s hella smart. but if they saw the type of basement-dwelling creature he turns into during the study period they would be horrified. he doesn’t touch grass, he doesn’t leave his room, his lips are chapped asf. in fact his room is growing into a whole new ecosystem to account for the cave-dwelling lifestyle james has going on. he’s got the most psycho routine ever, no sane person would replicate this. he’s so mad-scientist-scribbling-incoherent-observations-at-his-barely-lit-desk-at-midnight core. he never sleeps, he only has intervals of three hour naps so it doesn’t disrupt his sleep inertia. friends can’t text or call or reach out to him— he’s on dnd for the next two weeks. you’d think he died. his siblings think he’s doing cocaine in his room to keep himself up. there is the occasional james sighting around 5am where he may trudge out of his room like a night stalker to make himself tea. his face is gaunt and ghostly and his body is brittle and awkward. don’t speak to him because he’s not going to respond he’s too busy spacing out through the entire exam period. if you do get a word out of him it’ll probably not be in a language understood in this world. best he keep to his room.

hugo- he’s absolutely broke yet the only way he can cope is through impulsive storms of online shopping and doing shopping hauls on his close friends. if he had it his way he’d wind down the night with some dti with the boys but hermione has that boy’s arse glued to the dining chair and she and rose are circling hawks scrutinising all of his answers and then insisting to mark his pracs for him. in all realness they do save him because his marks are always pretty good in the end.

teddy- simply did not study if the subject didn’t appeal to him. one of those woke students that truly believed that marks did not equate to worth. knew he would only feasibly want to pursue careers in the subjects he liked so would prioritise one or two subjects. motivational speaker to all his friends. actually didn’t let exams stop him from living his life. his speeches on the wotters aren’t so successful since a lot of them highkey gaf about their results. rose gets pissed off every time he tries with her. victoire politely ignores him. james is disassociating through the entire speech. he doesn’t even attempt it with percy’s kids. bad luck ted.

lily- if there is a person who is the exact type of person who isn’t built for studying, it’s her. she can get away with it at the start of her schooling, because she is quite smart, but when it gets serious its the biggest humbling ever. she just can’t lock in. she’ll have an exam the next day and suddenly she’s knocking on albus’ door and is willing and wanting to listen to him complain about Life Problem #218. she’s suddenly volunteering to help her mum garden and help her dad cook. she’s going to ‘study sessions’ with friends where she forces them to do anything but study. she’s binge watching shows with james. she’s picking up a new hobby in juggling. she’s attacked by a new hyperfixation she can’t get out of her head and she has to spend 6 hours a day looking at fanart. like girl go study. james will give her the most bomb (but lowkey psycho) tips on how to lock in and she’ll get motivated until she looks at her prac and sees an 8 mark short answer question. like goodnight she’s having a nap. also she eats everything in the fridge, no snacks are safe. fuck the no sugar rule fr. she’s not even hungry she just convinces herself she is so she can do literally anything else besides that 8 mark question waiting for her on her desk in her room.

scorpius- he’s a fucking freak because he probably likes the stress of exam period 💀 like he probs does feel stress about it, but since he’s always constantly stressed out this isn’t anything new to him. “i get to pour over all my in-detail notes i’ve written on all these subjects through the semester again?? and then do an assessment regarding the in-detail notes i have? yippee!!” his optimism is absolutely not shared by his peers but he’s so oblivious to it. he’s fantasising about what topic questions he’ll get and what his damn body paragraphs are going to be. he’s the guy seated behind you in the exam who unintentionally peer pressures you by requesting for another booklet because he’s written too much in the first. he’s the one joyfully skipping up to you after the test is over and excitedly asking for what you wrote about or what answers you got, and when he shares his responses with you, you realise his points were better or his answers were actually correct. and then he’s emailing his teachers every week asking for when the marks will be released because he’s just so excited. weirdo.

James - Quidditch player for Puddlemere United (had to quit age 27 due to injury), turned Dark Wizard catcher (again, had to quit after several injuries age 32 (he’s weirdly clumsy for a world class athlete)), turned Flying/ Quidditch teacher at Hogwarts.

Albus - Potions master specialising in cures for rare diseases. Won the St. Mungo’s Excellence Award for creating the cure responsible for the eradication of Dragon Pox.

Lily - Magizoologist and owns a thestral rescue centre later on in life.

Teddy - Auror till around the age of 33 then became a stay at home dad till his kids all went off to Hogwarts then went back to being an Auror.

Rose - Writer mainly focusing on articles about Wizard/ muggle relations at first. She writes a few fiction novels that do exceptionally well and are best sellers in both the Wizarding and Muggle world.

Hugo - Becomes Hogwarts Care of Magical Creatures professor after Hagrid’s retirement and also lives in a much bigger version of his hut as Groundskeeper.

Roxanne - Owner of an Apothacary/ Perfume shop on Diagon Alley.

Fred - (I HC that Fred is killed around the age of 17 so this is if he lived) works at Weasleys Wizard Wheezes and eventually runs it after his parents retire early to travel round the world. He expands it internationally and it becomes one of the most well known and loved brands in the wizarding world.

Victoire - Legislator/ Law Maker at the Ministry of Magic. Potentially becoming Minister of Magic later on in life.

Dom - Quidditch player for the Holyhead Harpies then sports commentator.

Louis - Wandmaker. Ollivanders apprentice after Hogwarts eventually taking over. People come from all over the world for his beautifully intricate designs.

Molly - Obliviator then Unspeakable. Gets asked (begged) at least once a day by one family member or another trying to find out what she actually does and she never once broke.
