That's one of my favourite scenes in the entire show. I think it's the scene where we really, really get to see Simon's flaws shine through and it really humanizes him. He knows he's being hypocritical and unfair but he's so angry and hurt he doesn't care, and he vindictively wants to hurt Wille the way Wille had hurt him. It's such an important turning point for Simon because it's the moment he finally admits how he really feels and it's when he begins stops running away from those feelings. In my opinion Simon's character arc in season 2 revolves around him learning to stop running away from situations when they get too difficult, to stop running away from his feelings, and also learning to stand up for himself and find his voice, to stop letting people piss on him. There's so much going on in this scene and it's brilliant. Episode 4 is Omar's best performance in season 2 imo (bring back Kristina Humle for season 3, she's great!); it's the most conflicted Simon is all season and Omar portrays his inner struggle brilliantly. One of my favourite details in his performance in the locker room scene is the way he looks at Wille after telling him he can't accept him - his anger and pettiness fades away from his gaze in that moment and his expression becomes so layered. He's shocked at his own admission and there's some regret there as he knows he's hurt Wille, but I also detect a note of desperation - like he's begging for Wille to fight back, to do something, to make things right between them because by this point in the story Simon understands that what he wants and what he's wanted this entire time was for Wille to make things right between them, and maybe he's realizing that he himself has played a bigger role in keeping them apart than he realized - by acknowledging that he doesn't accept Wille for who he is.
