Willow for the ask game

one aspect about them i love: Oh, I love everything about her. Her voice is so nice and her design is so pretty and her personality is so cool. She's just gotten better with time! S3 Willow is so amazing! No shade to S1 Willow, tho.

one aspect i wish more people understood about them: I think people like to reduce her to just 1 thing and fail to see the entirety of Willow in all of her glory.

She's not just a super strong girlboss, she can be vunerable too! She's not just the responsible mom friend, she can be silly and chaotic as well! She's not always the confident flirty girl, sometimes Hunter makes her nervous!

She's an onion! She has layers!

one (or more) headcanon(s) i have about this character: She takes pictures of strangers on the street because her inner artist photographer can't help herself. She's like Lilo in Lilo & Stitch.

Also, I have a whole ass fic on Dyslexic Willow already.

one character i love seeing them interact with: Take a wild fucking guess.

Hunter, obviously. That's my main ship! They're so cute! They're in love!! Huntlow!!

Also, Luz & Gus. Those are her best friends! They're the original Hexsquad!! Season 1 was such a blast whenever they hung out and I miss it.

one character i wish they would interact with/interact with more: Weirdly? Raine. I feel like they'd get along swimmingly, they could get into so much trouble together. The Clawthorne in-laws being chaotic. They honestly give off the same vibe, which is why I love them both.

Also, Vee because I feel like they became real good friends offscreen during the time skip.

And her dads. She loves them so much and we don't get to see enough of it.

one (or more) headcanon(s) i have that involve them and one other character: While in the Human Realm, Gus and Willow get really into skateboarding and end up learning how to do the most difficult stunts and tricks. Hunter's standing there like: "That's my girlfriend and my best friend, suckers!!"

She's the first one to say "I love you" to Hunter. It goes pretty much like this.

Owl House Headcanon

It is canon that the Bat Queen is a palisman, and she has children. Either Palismen are able to reproduce and we just haven’t heard of it, or someone/she had to carve her children out of wood. And we all know that Hunter is made of mostly Palistrom wood. So, theoretically, since the Batchildren are alive, and confirmed to age,

That must mean that there is a way to make palismen age. 

It may be possible for Hunter and Willow to have a baby through carving them out of Palistrom wood. Perhaps the Batqueen could assist them with the process, as she knows how it works. Or maybe it has to do with Titan Magic so King could help once his powers develop more. Also, the baby could follow natural genetic laws if both of them could have a hand at carving and imbue the wood with their magic, giving the kid natural abilities with plants or Hunter’s Dash ability.  

And for those wondering if they would have choose and carve the sex themselves, I think the magic (of the isles/of palistrom wood) would choose the sex for them

And they could name the kid either Caleb or Evelyn idk

anyway just. this giant ol' outdoor concert thing right, kinda like a Bard music fest, abt 6 months after the end of W.A.D. (pre-credit timeskip stuff)

and the hexside squad + parentals go to it and theyre all having fun

hunter has no idea how to dance so hes just been watching everyone else

and then this one band begins their show and willow drags hunter to his feet cuz its her fav band (B.I. version of The Paper Kites) and shes teaching him to dance with the following songs:

and when Willow Tree March starts playing, of course hunter is enjoying himself by now and most certainly doing his best to ignore the teasing jabs at him and willow dancing together

and of course, naturally, Willow Tree March is just willow's fav song

and at about 2:21 into the song hunter gets this idea after having seen some other people do it, so as the song goes on he and willow are just so entranced with each other while theyre dancing that willow doesnt realize that, at abt 3mins into the song hunter has taken the full lead and when the final "and we all still die" hits at 3:57 he carefully sweeps her feet out and dips her

and willow cant help but just start laughing as they finish dancing to the song, hunter with the biggest, goofiest proud grin on his face and obvi both their faces red

and when the song end luz and gus are whooping and hollering at them, even amity is laughing, and hunter has to chase luz and gus down to get them to shut up while willow is trying desperately not to break out laughing as well

and theyre fucking cute teenagers and a a a a a a okay bye

Like his first official Father’s Day with his newborn, he’d make a T shirt that says “Dad Bod Loading” and then an apron covered in Dad Jokes that he’d wear while he grills.

i think hunter is very physically affectionate. at first, maybe not, but as he gets more comfortable around people and starts receiving physical affection himself, well. i think he’d love that. maybe he’d be flinchy at first, but i think when he grows accustomed to it… i think he lays his head on camilla’s shoulder when he’s tired, and when he’s not. i think he hugs his friends whenever he sees them, even if he saw them an hour ago. i think he melts when willow grabs his hand, and he holds on tight. i think they hold hands whenever they feel like it, in the middle of conversations and when they’re reading together. i think he loves ruffling vee’s hair, and booping luz’s nose, picking up gus. i think as he starts feeling okay with leaning on darius or any of the hexsquad or camilla or eda, he also starts to learn not to flinch when darius raises his hand to ruffle his hair or when amity play-punches him.

and i think one day, he looks at himself in the mirror, and he’s proud of who he’s become

I don't think Willow and Hunter start dating immediately after the events of W&D. They know they're something and they're both open to exploring that when they're ready. But they also agree that it would be in their best interest to adjust to their new normal and do some soul searching before they make themselves an official item. They don't consider themselves dating but they don't consider themselves single either. And the way the two of them approach their feelings for each other in this murky limbo state is vastly different for both of them.

Like if somebody asks Willow if she's in love with Hunter, it's like

Willow: Am I in-...? Well, it's...complicated. It's a very complicated situation we're in and I don't want to make any bold decisions right away. Do I love him as a friend? Of course I do. Am I physically attracted to him? Yes, but hormones don't mean love. Am I also emotionally attracted to him? Yes, but a crush isn't love. Do all of these things at once equate to being in love? Well, that seems like the kind of question that would keep a very nervous very scared person lying awake all night. Good thing that's not me, haha. It's not like I'm scared to be in love and I'm subconsciously avoiding confronting the fact that I am. I just believe in staying rational and analyzing your emotions so you don't get too reckless and dive into things without thinking. You'll hurt yourself. I've heard that's it's really easy to hurt yourself when you're in love. You see it's...we...Hunter and I met at a really crazy time, when I was just starting to become the witch I want to be. And then everything got so much crazier and we were confused and scared and it was hard to think about who you wanted to be when you weren't where you wanted to be. So now we're home. And finally, we have the chance to figure ourselves out. And that's exactly what we're gonna do. I want to be with him...eventually. When we're ready. I like him and I want to kiss him but I'm not in love with him. I'm totally not.
