It's the end of the world as we know it (And I'm not fine)
(Reverse Robins / Zombie au)
Chapter 1
"Come on Roy, pick up" Tim paced nervously back and forth listening as the phone rang.
"Hey this is Arsenal, Me and Hood are out doing rad guy stuff right now so leave a message" Tim sighed shoving the phone back in his pocket.
"Did he just say Rad guy stuff?" Jason peered over the couch.
"Come on we need to leave" Tim ordered tossing his backpack over his shoulders.
It had been a week since the world was plunged into madness. Most of the Justice League had unexpectedly disappeared leaving the world in panic. The next day a virus was released upon the world, one that turned its victims into flesh-eating Zombies.
Tim had been watching the news when two sidekicks appeared at his door looking absolutely terrified. He let them take shelter while he tried to figure out what was going on. Damian called him, telling him that the girls were safe with him along with the baby bird, they had been working on a case outside of Gotham when the virus hit. They were now staying in an abandoned hotel trying to wait out the swarm of flesh-eating. Tim did not have that luxury as all the zombies were moving towards big cities such as Gotham.
The few heroes and sidekicks that were left had agreed to meet at the watch tower. Sadly most of the Zeta-tubes were out and the closest to Gotham was in Texas. Tim had been waiting to see if he could find anyone else in Gotham but it looked like they were all that was left.
"Where are we going?" Bart asked curiously.
"To pick up Babs then we're heading for the watch tower," Tim said pulling out a grappling hook "You know how to use this"
"Yeah Cass showed me," the speedster said talking to the device.
"Good, no one is touching down today, the streets are too dangerous"
Meanwhile
Damian, Dick, and Cass had been working on a case when this mess started. It had been a blood bath, he was so grateful that Kori was off visiting her home planet.
Wally and Steph managed to find them somehow and now all four were staying in an old hotel. As soon as they were safe he called to check on Jason and Tim. They had agreed to meet in Huston and go to the watch tower. However, they had to wait until the swarm had moved away before they could leave.
"Looks like this is our chance," Wally said peering out the window "I'll go ahead and make sure the path is clear" Wally zoomed out of the building to the car once he got there, and he gave the others the okay sign.
"Okay straight for the car" Damian ordered picking Dick up. The girl nodded before dashing off. Damian stayed right behind them in case something attacked from behind.
"Everybody in?" Wally asked as the others climbed in. Cass responded with a swift nod as she buckled her young brother.
"Then let's get going" Damian ordered. Wally quickly started the car and drove out of the parking lot.
Back in Gotham
"Tim" Barbra smiled with relief "it's good to see you're all okay"
"I'm glad you're okay too Babs" he gave her a friendly smile.
"What about the other?" she asked anxiously.
"Steph Cass and Baby Bird are fine, They're with Big Bird Jay's with me" he nodded to where Bart and Jason were sitting on the roof.
"That's good" she nodded going back to her computer.
"Are you ready to go?" He asked getting his line ready.
"I'm not going" she replied softly.
"What?" Tim jerked back nearly falling out of the window.
"I can't," she said meeting his gaze "Gotham needs me, my father needs me"
"In case you haven't noticed there's not much left of Gotham and your dad can come it's not like secret identities are that important anymore" She shook her head sadly.
"I'm sorry I can't leave This is my home and when this is over the survivors are going to need someone to guide them" Determination burned in her eyes.
"Are you sure?" She nodded "Okay I'm heading to Roy's to check on him then we-"
"Tim" Barbra frowned putting a hand on his shoulder "Roy didn't make it"
"Oh," something inside Tim broke as he realized his best friend was gone "What about Rose?"
"I'm not sure," Barbra said wrapping her arms around him as he collapsed "I'm so sorry"
Meanwhile
"You've been awfully quiet" Damian observed turning to Steph.
"Well forgive me if the end of the world brings me down" she snapped before looking away "I'm sorry it's just I can't help but worry about Jason"
"He looks at me" Steph looked back tears pricking her eyes "Jason is too stubborn to die, he will make it out of this on pure spit and then he will make it his mission to spend the rest of time annoying everyone in the watch tower"
"Thanks" Steph laughed whipping the tears out of her eyes.
"There's no need to thank me it's the truth"

Hallmark Channel Announces First 2023 Christmas Movie, Bethany Joy Lenz and Kristoffer Polaha to Star
Tumblr media
Hallmark Channel is planning ahead. Next month, the network will begin production on their first holiday movie of 2023.
“A Biltmore Christmas,” led by Bethany Joy Lenz and Kristoffer Polaha, will film entirely on the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina, a national historic landmark known for its classic holiday traditions. Dustin Rikert serves as executive producer with Andrew Gernhard producing. John Putch directs the script, written by Marcy Holland.
“Each year we look for ways to create exciting, new holiday viewing experiences for our audience,” says Samantha DiPippo, senior vice president of development and programming at Hallmark Media. “We know fans will love being transported back in time and the iconic, beautiful Biltmore Estate is the perfect setting to help fans get into the holiday spirit.”
The official description for “A Biltmore Christmas” is below:
Lucy Collins (Lenz) is a screenwriter who lands the job of a lifetime when she’s hired to write the script for a remake of the beloved holiday movie “His Merry Bride!” First filmed in 1947 at beautiful Biltmore House, it has long been considered a Christmas classic. As Christmas approaches, Lucy travels to Biltmore Estate for research. She joins a guided tour of the grounds where she gets insights into the history of the location and the filming of “His Merry Bride!,” and once inside the house, she’s drawn to a beautiful hourglass. When Lucy accidentally knocks it over, she finds herself transported back in time to 1946 – the Golden Age of Hollywood – as cast and crew prepare to film “His Merry Bride!” at Biltmore. Lucy does her best to navigate an unfamiliar place as a woman out of time, charming some and raising suspicions of others. It’s not long before Lucy catches the eye of the film’s dashing lead Jack Huston (Polaha) and although she initially rebuffs his advances, their connection soon becomes undeniable. Lucy’s sudden appearance sets off a chain of events that put the production in jeopardy. Before she can return to the present, she must make things right or threaten to alter the future forever. Lucy has one chance to go home but must say goodbye to the man who might be her soulmate unless some Christmas magic can keep the curtain from closing on their love story.

Ballerina: John Wick Spinoff Faces Challenges but Offers Hope
Tumblr media
Well, folks, it looks like the John Wick universe is getting a spin-off, and it's called Ballerina. But hold your applause, because this one’s been hitting some sour notes. Starring the talented Ana de Armas, Ballerina was supposed to be a thrilling new chapter in the Wick-verse. Instead, early screenings have been more of a stumble than a pirouette. Ballerina Movie is set to follow a female assassin, played by de Armas, within the world of John Wick. Imagine all the high-octane action and stylish gunfights but with a dash of grace and elegance. Sounds promising, right? Well, the reality seems a bit messier. Reports are saying it’s more of a “borderline imitation” of the original Wick films, but with a tone that’s all over the place. The Production Rumors The film has faced quite a journey. Originally slated for a June 7, 2024 release, Ballerina got pushed back to June 6, 2025. That’s a whole year’s delay, which usually means something’s up. Enter Chad Stahelski, the mastermind behind the John Wick franchise. He’s been called in to oversee production and even directed some new action sequences. Apparently, the movie needed a bit of a rescue mission. Let’s not forget the additional cast members who joined during these “new shoots.” Yes, they added new characters late in the game. David Castañeda and Sharon Duncan-Brewster are the fresh faces we’ll see in this chaotic ballet. Ian McShane, reprising his role as Winston, didn't hold back on his thoughts. On BBC’s The One Show, he mentioned that the reshoots were more like “newshoots.” Ouch. Stahelski stepped in, supposedly to salvage what he could and protect the franchise. With Ballerina described as tonally inconsistent and poorly directed, it sounds like they had a lot to fix. The film, which began production in November 2022, hit post-production by February 2023. But given the disastrous screening, more reshoots might be in the cards. Lionsgate certainly can’t afford to release a dud, especially with a franchise as beloved as John Wick. Despite the turmoil, there are reasons to be hopeful. Ana de Armas is a rising star, and with legends like Anjelica Huston and Ian McShane on board, the cast is solid. Plus, this film features the late Lance Reddick’s final performance as Charon, adding a bittersweet note to its release. And let’s not forget the cameo from Keanu Reeves himself. A Brief History of the John Wick Franchise The John Wick franchise kicked off in 2014 with Keanu Reeves as the titular character, a retired hitman seeking vengeance for the death of his dog. The film’s unique blend of stylized action, intricate world-building, and Reeves’ performance struck a chord with audiences. It spawned sequels that expanded the lore, introduced memorable characters, and raised the stakes. Directed by Chad Stahelski, the series is known for its top-notch choreography and relentless pace. As the franchise grew, it became a cultural phenomenon, leading to spin-offs like Ballerina and other upcoming projects. Read the full article

Robin Hood (Ridley Scott, 2010) Cast: Russell Crowe, Cate Blanchett, Max von Sydow, Oscar Isaac, William Hurt, Mark Strong, Danny Huston, Eileen Atkins, Mark Addy, Matthew Macfadyen, Kevin Durand, Scott Grimes, Alan Doyle, Douglas Hodge, Léa Seydoux. Screenplay: Brian Helgeland, Ethan Reiff, Cyrus Voris. Cinematography: John Mathieson. Production design: Arthur Max. Film editing: Pietro Scalia. Music: Marc Streitenfeld. Did the world really need another Robin Hood movie? From the lack of interest at the box office, it would seem not. At least Ridley Scott and screenwriter Brian Helgeland tried to give us something slightly different: a prequel, in which Robin finds his identity and mission and only at the very end goes off into Sherwood Forest with his Merry Men, presumably to rob from the rich and give to the poor. Unfortunately, the prequel doesn't give us much that's new or revealing about the characters: The villains, King John (Oscar Isaac) and the Sheriff of Nottingham (Matthew Macfadyen), remain the same, with an additional twist that they're being duped by another villain named Godfrey (Mark Strong), a supporter of the French King Philip, who is plotting an invasion now that the English army is still straggling back from the Crusades. Robin is a soldier of fortune named Robin Longstride, who has been to the Crusades and is making it back with the crown of the fallen Richard the Lionheart (Danny Huston) as well as a sword he promised the dying Sir Robert Loxley (Douglas Hodge) he would return to his father, Sir Walter (Max von Sydow) in Nottingham.  When he does, Robin meets Marian, no longer a maid but the widow of Sir Robert. On the way, he has gathered a retinue comprising Little John (Kevin Durand), Will Scarlet (Scott Grimes), and Allan A'Dayle (Alan Doyle), and in Nottingham he will add Friar Tuck (Mark Addy) to the not terribly merry company. They'll take part in repelling the French invasion, which Scott makes into a kind of small scale D-Day, to the extent of borrowing unabashedly from Steven Spielberg's Saving Private Ryan (1998), including some landing craft whose historical existence has been questioned (along with much else of the movie's history). Robin and his fellow soldiers, including Marian, who arrives disguised in chain mail, save the day, but their hopes for a new charter of rights that has been promised them by King John are dashed when he proclaims Robin an outlaw. So everything seems to be set up for a sequel that will culminate at Runnymede and the signing of Magna Carta, but the film's flop at the box office put paid to that. Robin Hood certainly has some good performances, which you might expect from its cast packed with Oscar-winners and -contenders, but it feels routine and a little tired. It also resorts to filming much of the action with the now too common "gloomycam," in which fight scenes always seem to be taking place at night, so you can't tell who's killing whom.
