Poor castorice having a whole ass team ganging up on her to be seperated with her beloved vet😞😞

I know Castorice is going to be sad and the Vet doesn’t want her to be sad, but logically Frog! Castorice can’t stay latched on the Vet forever! It can be dangerous for the both of them when the Vet has to get into the enclosures of the other Hybrids. It puts Castorice at risk even though she has that poison coating to protect her.

Regardless, Castorice is so sad and frowny when she is pulled off the Vet’s back. Her bottom lip wobbles just like a Frog’s throat wobbles when they croak, and her eyes get so big and watery. It kills the Vet each time she is forcefully pried off her, and the Vet can’t resist kissing her face to comfort her.

Unfortunately, even though the Vet developed an immunity to touching Castorice, she hasn’t developed an immunity to kissing Castorice because that’s going to take another few months of exposure. Perhaps that’s why the Vet got sick that one time, as she just kept kissing Castorice so many times that her body fell ill in the process…

He doesn’t have a name yet, chances are his design will change quite a bit but I’m unsure! He’ll be one of the main antagonists but not a boss, he’ll set up traps around the map to avoid! (He’s also just rude)

what do you think about Hayley?

I think she was made as a plot device, not a person, and therefore has no real character.

I mean, when she was first introduced, she had a good premise---we learn she grew up with foster parents, and when she turned for the first time, they kicked her out. I think that's a really neat insight into the werewolf world they should have explored a whole lot more. If she's in her early/mid-twenties does that mean she's been turning since she was a teenager? Is she an experienced werewolf, having been running with other packs ever since she was kicked out? What happened when she was kicked out? Was she homeless for a while, forced to hitchhike and live on the streets, thinking herself a monster until she realised there were more people like her? How did she find that out? Did she bump into a werewolf in a bar? Was there a werewolf that took her under his/her wing, taught her everything she knew? Did she find her own family, even though they shared no blood?

The problem is, TVDU has a horrible habit of creating female characters for a specific purpose, and not expanding on them otherwise. Hayley was supposed to be likeable because they intended to air TO and Plec wanted the baby plotline. She wasn't a homewrecker, because Tyler wasn't actually cheating on Caroline with her, see? It's just a ploy to distract Klaus! Hayley's actually trying to help the hybrids out of the good of her heart!

Yeah, well, that's all good and dandy, but Julie---[takes a huge breath]---my darling, you forgot you made Hayley a decietful bitch who betrays the hybrids to Klaus just for the promise of information on her parents. Which, don't get me wrong---I think the twist made her character all the more interesting. It would have been better if her alliance with Shane was revealed later and came as more of a shock. But again, Hayley was a plot device, and the writers were using her for all the wrong reasons, reaching their crescendo of mysognistic bad decisions when they had her get pregnant with Klaus' child and later, forced her own plotline with the NOLA werewolves just to give her something to do rather than just be Klaus' shacked up momma.

Like all the characters in TVDU, she had great potential, especially as a morally grey character or antagonist.

But as always, the execution was shite.

What's Oudette's story in your SWTOR universe? Any interesting facts that they are comfortable to share? Like how did they end up as a babe in a random storage crate?

Aaa omg I'm so flattered you're curious about Oudette!! :D 💙

So! Oudette (he/him) was raised by a dance troupe who found him as a baby (x). In adolescence and into adulthood, he had a long-running career with an Imperial majority-alien theater & dance company before a life-changing incident.

The Incident was a targeted attack on the company’s performers following a big show where very few escaped unscathed, if at all. During the attack, Oudette, despite lacking combat experience, confronted the attackers to protect his peers but was critically injured and left for dead (this is where he got his face scar). 

Barely out of healing, Oudette began working on attempting to investigate/track down the attackers himself, fueled by a passion for justice and revenge for his peers. Events lead to him unofficially assisting Imperial Intelligence in a mission to identify the attackers (a rapidly growing force of anti-alien terrorists). Intelligence eventually approached him to offer an official role in helping them hopefully put on end to the growing threat. Even so, there may be other, more sinister reasons for his sudden recruitment...

Trivia:

He's a freelance commercial dancer; though originally specializing in ballet, nowadays he offers his skills to other purposes (cabaret, cantina dancer, etc). Imperial Intelligence assigns him to whatever gigs can potentially benefit a mission and assists him as necessary. Often, someone is assigned to accompany Oudette to act as his ‘bodyguard’ ⋆

Many of his missions involve him performing for the sake of gathering intel. He has sharp hearing and even while dancing, he pays more attention to nearby conversation than those enjoying entertainment could know. ⋆

He’s got a passion for fashion and is often seen wearing formal and extravagant outfits ⋆

Along with being an experienced dancer, Oudette also works as a singer and occasionally a model. ⋆

Being a Cathar/Sathari hybrid, Oudette has many quirks inspired by both birds and cats xD Will expand on that sometime for sure ⋆

Oudette often casually refers to people with “darling” or “dear” as affectionate endearment terms ⋆

He has a feathery tail that can fan out like a peacock. He loves showing this off during performances haha 🪶 ⋆

Though he's always been a performer, Oudette desperately wants to become a good fighter, especially after The Incident. Despite the tragic circumstances at the time, he struggles with deep guilt for not being able to protect the other victims of the attack.

I've been thinking a lot about Elendira and why she's Like That™ in Tristamp and my current theory is that she's kept that young on Purpose.

Either her biology is unstable as an hybrid and Conrad fears her developing potentially deadly mutations when she grows older, or they are keeping her as child because if she's already THAT strong at her age, she could very well become a danger to him down the line. Maybe knives also doesn't want her to grow up and somehow end up like his brother. There's many possibilities that, I think, are interesting to explore.

What are the rules for a hybrid? How many are there? Are people actually making ocs of it?

If you're asking what are the rules the rehabilitation have set for the hybrids is no physical fighting or try to consume one another.

If you're asking about what the requirements to join in the AU, it's just that the hybrid that is of a prehistoric and or instinct species that is either one or more combination [preferably 2 or 3 but that's just me lol].

As for how many?? I don't really know, it's just something I did for shits and giggles with friends, so there's no actual full story. But if I had to put an actual number, there's about 5 of my characters, Darnell, Roslyn, Markus, Maverick, and maybe Derek. And there's my friends' characters, SD by my good friend Shop, and Lu-- Damien by another good friend Softcitrus. and uh, I kinda just volunteered their characters just for the hell of it, they can totally bail anytime if they want JDISHSKDJ

But yey, I had a couple of other people coming out making their own OCs for this concept and I'm happy to get to see something come out of it and wouldn't mind getting to know and see what everyone else has in mind as long as it doesn't break any boundaries/make me feel uncomfortable.
