everyday i live in fear of what tottmnt will be like but i hope they explore the nonduality of humanity being good/bad. they kinda addressed it in the movie with the statement of "humans are complex and diverse, the lady who milked us is bad and april is good" which like. given the likelihood that cynthia utrom is going to be an alien or something makes that kind of pointless

and i think setting up the turtles to be Somewhat normal teenagers and going to school is perfect to do exactly that

They're going in with a very romanticized idea of what school and human life is like, as seen from the outdoor movie scene and pondering if this is really what school is like (it's not), directly contrasted with April knowing full well what the reality of being a teenager in school is like.

For the first time, they'll experience getting overloaded with work and activities, unfair treatment from teachers, peers just being crappy. And it isn't part of a larger villainous plot for world domination or destroying them, stuff just sucks sometimes.

Leo

You've somehow convinced him to let you do a tarot reading for him

you're still not sure how, maybe the mixture of puppy dog eyes and veiled threats combined?

anyways, you ask him what question he has

but that isn't *fun* so you pick a different one for him

you shuffle the cards with your intention of "What is Leo lacking that he should focus on more right now?"

you pull out the 6 of cups

Leo looks at you like "Is that good?"

you explain the card

"You see the way they're handing the cup to a child? This card is all about revisiting the past, childhood memories and innocence. It's about simple joys and pleasures also cups represents the element of water, to be free flowing and not so confined"

"And this helps me be a better leader how...?"

you smile and tell him that's not what you asked

"Leo, the cards are telling you to relax a little, spend some time with yourself and not so much worrying about the fate of the world. Be present, find that child in you who wants to do dumb, fun shit!"

he doesn't say anything but he thinks on it

"Anyway the next card was temperance so that's basically saying if you don't listen to me you're never gonna find balance...."

Yeah there was no way he was going to let you do a reading

you had to trick him into sitting down but once he saw the cards he tried to leave

you swayed him and his only request was "Just don't ask when I'm gonna die or some shit, ok?"

instead you do a reality check for him and you pull out 3 cards

The star, 4 of swords and 5 of wands reversed

"oh, baby.." you start

he's so worried

frantically asking what any of that means, so you break it down for him

"the star's message is: have faith. Hope, faith and purpose basically. You need to understand that you're doing alright, no matter how much you beat yourself up. 4 of swords is about rest and relaxation, taking a break. You work yourself too hard out on patrol, then come back here and hit the gym, then you barely sleep and do it all over again. You;re burning yourself out. Finally, 5 of wands. Reversed it talks about inner conflict, self doubt and tension. Whatever you're battling with, you need to face it and let it out"

"well shit, I didn't expect your cards to fucking call me out like that..."

"well, the lovers is obvious. You bring a lot of love to the people in your life. You're the heart of your brother's. That's self explanatory"

"Awh, your cards like me" he's getting cocky now

"the page of wands is about being a free spirit, inspiration, ideas and limitless potential. Basically you keep everyone entertained with your never stopping pin balls machine of a brain"

you let that one slide, no need to remind him of the time his "idea" to defeat the foot clan involved gummy worms....he was thinking with his stomach.

"And the 6 of swords is about transition and change, a right of passage, release like releasing baggage. I think this one's saying you haven't met your full potential of how you can help people yet, but you are destined to help people"

"wow. Really? Damn you're good"

you take the compliment, you are good at this.

Donnie

it's not that Donnie doesn't want a reading or find it interesting

it's that he just doesn't believe you can tell him anything new...

so you pull out a few cards on his behalf anyways

just to tell him a little more about himself that he doesn't realise

you follow him around for like 10 minutes after explaining the cards

while he's doing the dishes you're all "so the 10 of wands reversed is about doing it all and carrying a burden that you need to release it can also be defined as stubbornness!Come on, Donnie, that's so you. When you aren't working on whatever Leo gave you in the lab you;re spotting Raph in the gym or you're indulging Mikey is one of his fantasies, you need to stop carrying your brothers wants with you and live for you!"

He's trying to get his bunsen burner to work and you talk about "strength is basically the message believe in yourself.but it's also about compassion. You have so much of that that you never give to yourself!"

finally he turns to face you "And the last card?"

"3 of swords reversed is the most important. It's about negative self talk and releasing pain and forgiving yourself. I know you think you hide it well, but I can tell you beat yourself up over every little thing. You need to stop that"

He takes a minute to think

"Ok, maybe there is something to these cards, or maybe you're just interpreting them that way because you know me. Either way...Thank you. This was helpful"

Time for: Another random midnight ramble

Even though we’ve seen so little of him throughout the fic I just LOVE the way rise Raph scratches an itch in my brain that makes me melt. Like- he’s just so understanding and definitely the most well adjusted when it comes to mentality and maturity, not just in being an adult but also emotionally.

He understands that things are at a standstill, and knows to leave well alone. Whereas Leo and Mikey still have two very different and more childlike and immature mindsets when it comes to Donatello.

Leo is paranoid, he is certain that Donnie would never change for anyone that he is not going to stop hunting them and scaring his brothers beyond repair. His immediate hostility keeps Reader and potentially Donatello at bay. They’re both very similar in that way and it would take one of them to take those walls down for the other to follow suit and even then he will still be paranoid.

Mikey in the other hand is the opposite, even if he knows it won’t happen he desperately craves Donatello to be part of the family it’s why he invited Reader and Donnie to stay for coffee and croissants. He takes in Donnie’s advice even if it may be condescending and treats it like gosspel. He wants him to come back around and even if he doesn’t understand it I believe that it’s part of the reason why he reached out to Reader in the first place. He CRAVES that connection, after all it is what brought Draxum into their family unit and start a villain rehab program. He sees the best in people whether it be to his detriment or not.

Raph on the other hand, he’s a middle ground of peace. He is weary of Donatello like Leo, he is skeptical and frankly doesn’t want the conflict to start again. But like Mikey, he’s not throwing him out the second he can, which leads me to think he had similar hopes to Mikey. He also wants that connection even if he doesn’t know it. They all do, they’re all just on different levels of it some being more bitter than others that they couldn’t reach it.

The best way to put it is acceptance. He’s not holding any grudges, they’ve both hurt each other and now neither of them want to actually fight so he does the mature thing and leaves it be. He tries to stop conflict before it happens though usually in vain. He keeps his family safe by just living his own life and not letting it be overtaken by the same paranoia that Leo feels.

I just love the big red blorbo, he deserves a hug and cookie for everything he’s been through. Also once again it may be a ReaderxDonatello fic but by gods I won’t stop finding other characters to simp over too.

Hypno may be married but by the looks of it Raph it good for the pickings sooo ima yoink the big red squishy toy.

I think it's really interesting (I literally wrote it what am i talking about) if you think about how scared Donnie has left them physically and compare it to emotionally. Leo is arguably the least scared physically, but the most scarred emotionally. While Raph my appear to have the worst, it's actually Mikey that has the worst damage, but he's the one least connected to it! It's a comparison made intentional and literal considering his traumatic brain injury disconnected his ability to taste. To bring the croissant in from chapter 58, everything about what happened to them is layered, laminated, and interspersed! That's surely not even everything I've done, but I do adore metaphors and meanings so they are aplenty!

Raphy gets to really shine a few chapters down the line from now! I hope he'll continue to impress! He's not tied down as far as the story is concerned, I likened Raphala to having some kind of partner, but I wasn't going to write them! You are free to take anyone as you see fit, I won't tell 🤭

here's my ramblings about the Hamato ninpo, specifically Leo's ninpo, and how it all relates to trust

spoilers for my fic, up to chapter 18

(Skip to the " ~~~~ " for the main point of my rambling)

When I first started writing the ideas I had for my fic, I knew from the start I didn't want Leo to have the ability to use his ninpo/portals. It's basically a road trip/adventure fic, so being able to use portals would kinda make everything too easy. Not much character growth if you can just teleport away from all your problems. (there's probably a deeper analysis there about Leo's signature ability being portals and how he deflects negative emotions and some sort of connection, but that's a different topic for a different day)

So, the next question was if Leo couldn't use his portals, how did he lose them in relation to the story?

The easy answer would be an incident with the Krang, just like in the movie. But, I also wanted Mikey and Donnie to be able to use their own ninpo, so it had to all be on Leo. ALSO, I didn't want too much focus to be on the Krang, since one of the main plot points is that the invasion didn't last very long, and wasn't too traumatic. (also that the government is actually the true villain)

I went back and rewatched the last few episodes of season 2, as well as the movie several times.

When the brothers unlock their ninpo, it's because Raph learns how to trust in his family. The line is literally "trust us, like we trust you". So, the basis of ninpo itself is the trust they have with each other.

In the movie, their ninpos become 'blocked', which could be seen as a metaphor for them losing trust in each other (Raph vs Leo, Donnie and Mikey not agreeing with Leo, but following along anyway, Leo not trusting in his brothers, etc. I could go WAY deeper into the movie analysis, but again, different topic for a different day). And while it's not directly stated in the movie, they all unlock their ninpo by Leo learning to listen, and trust, essentially, his brothers, and himself.

In the fic...they don't have the same situation with the Krang. Instead, they're put into a broken world with a more complex political situation.

When you're in an environment with constant trauma and no positive resources, you start to lose trust in yourself. Finding hope becomes harder and harder, especially when you're supposed to take care of others or be in charge/a leader.

The Krang apocalypse is basically the worst-case scenario: the world is literally being destroyed, and all life is being wiped out or Krang-ified. You either hold onto hope and keep fighting, or you die.

In an apocalypse like The Last of Us, or any zombie media (The Walking Dead, Z Nation, World War Z[the book], etc), most of the conflict is on a more intimate level. The zombies caused the collapse of comfortable, normal society, but it doesn't happen all at once, or on an even playing field. Some areas survive better than others, some pieces of society (like the government) sacrifice others to stay alive.

It's kinda the main difference between alien invasion movies and zombie movies. Aliens, while very bad, can unify everyone against them. Zombies, typically, bring out the worst in human nature/society.

By putting the Hamatos in a zombie infested world, they have to face the breakdown of society in a way that is the antithesis to TRUST.

You can't trust the government, you can't trust humans, who in turn can't trust mutants/yokai, and you can't trust that the person standing next to you isn't Infected and hiding it.

So, Leo loses his trust in himself, the world, and his family. And that breaks his ninpo. He can't trust anyone, so it's better to be alone and trust no one.

But, then he ends up taking care of Casey, and the two of them together, they being to heal. Leo has no choice but to start trusting in himself so he can protect and train Casey.

And then, he has to save Casey, and he needs his ninpo to do it.

When it comes to forgiveness and learning how to trust yourself again, it's not just saying "I'm sorry" over and over and over again, taking all of the blame for yourself. Guilt is not black and white. Yes, there are things that can be directly cause and effect, and apologizing for mistakes is important.

But living beings are full of mistakes, and make them constantly. The kindest, most genuinely good person you know, has made mistakes that they could be blamed for, and they will make mistakes again.

You will make mistakes that are technically your fault, and learning to live with that is just part of life.

Leo takes every mistake he's ever made and lets them drown him in guilt and shame, then creating a cycle where his lack of trust, care, and forgiveness for himself leads him to making more mistakes/poorer decisions.

The only way he's able to unlock/fix his ninpo is by acknowledging the fact that he can't just keeping saying "I'm sorry" or hold onto the guilt because he thinks he deserves it. The only way out is through, and part of it is accepting that mistakes will happen, and he will fuck up. But what matters is that he keeps trying to be better, and trust in himself that he can do it, and also trust in those around him who he cares for, and who care for him in return.

I almost did write a Good Will Hunting-ish scene of Leo nonstop apologizing, and Raph saying "it's not your fault", but....it's not that simple. Because there were things Leo could have done differently, but also........he was hurting...mentally, emotionally, and physically.

But, that also doesn't mean he's supposed to just let himself rot in the guilt of it all. There are ways to make amends, there's ways to be better, but also....he's a person, and people make mistakes.

Leo is, ultimately, a good person, and a hero. But he's flawed, because literally everyone else is, and being a good person/hero doesn't mean he won't make mistakes, and also shouldn't be held (or hold himself) to that standard.

There's a difference between knowingly hurting others and causing harm, and lashing out because you yourself are hurting.

That's........pretty much everything in my head about that. I apologize for the repeated/redundant or scatterbrain arguments/ramblings, but also, my ADHD is strangling me and I don't have time to go through and edit this. Hopefully, it makes enough sense (just like Leo, I'm trying not to hold myself to impossible perfectionist standards akdsfdfsf. Practicing what I preach and all that)

The bowl was empty, the world around them became more present again, and they sat in silent in front of each other. The pain returned, the exhaustion, the memories. There were no words that came close to doing it all justice, and yet they wanted to say so much to each other. But what? And where to start?

"Thank you for saving me." she began and looked at him. A thousand other sentences swirled in her head. She wanted to say so much more. But she didn't know if that was right. She now knew where she was, and she knew she couldn't stay. The spark of hope that she had felt before… she didn't trust it, she felt betrayed by it.

Donnie saw her sitting in front of him. So strong and yet so vulnerable. He saw her conflict again, but couldn't interpret it. What should he answer? He couldn't think of anything appropriate to say - no words that could describe his immeasurable need to protect her.

"I thank you too"

"For what?"

"For saving me."

They smiled at each other and she said

"I would do it again and again."

Donnie felt the butterflies and a blush rising on his face. Her smile grew warmer, but she got distracted.

"I think we can let the others know."

"Let them know what?"

"That they can come back in now." she answered in a louder voice.

A slight commotion was heard outside the door and a very embarrassed group waddled in, each one trying to get in last if possible.

"Oh man" Donnie said and facepalmed, "Guys… are you serious?"

“We didn't want to disturb you!” April was avoiding looking at them

Now the young woman had the opportunity to take a closer look at the four brothers all together for the first time.

Contrary to what she remembered from web video footage about 10 years ago, these turtles were clothed. 

According to Mikey's story, the red one had to be Raph. He was wearing a t-shirt with ripped sleeves, and was that a pair of trunks?

Leonardo, like Donatello, wore pants in traditional ninja style but wider, which only came down to the knees and the lower legs were wrapped in black bandage. But the blue one wore a tight sleeveless shirt, while the purple one does not wear upper body clothing.

"Sooooo, did you like it?" Mikey asked and everyone looked at him flabbergasted for the cheeky question.

But the young woman understood him and said politely, “It was delicious. Many Thanks."

Now the others understood and relaxed again. Raph wiped away some sweat from his forehead. 

Donnie and the young woman exchanged a look. Everyone noticed. April gave the young woman some painkillers, and she took them straight.

"Okay, let's start now, shall we?" remarked Raph

"Start with what?" Donnie raised an eyebrow

“Bringing light into the dark? To clarify, what happened yesterday? What is happening to all of us? What happened to YOU ​​two?" counted Raph

She and Donnie didn't look at each other, and of course everyone noticed the non-look as well.

The young woman collected herself and took the floor. She didn't need too many questions right now. She had made a decision.

"I want to apologize to you guys first." and looked at Raph, Leo and Mikey, who were all standing there a bit taken aback. “For the redirected Nunchaku, for the disarming and taking to the ground. I didn't mean to hurt you. Neither physically nor your honor."

She bowed her head. "I'm sincerely sorry." Donnie looked at her. She was really fascinating how she chose her words.

“Eeeeh thaaaat?” Leo spouted first, "No problem, that was nothing!" he blushed.

"Apology accepted! I'm also sorry for attacking you!" exclaimed Mikey with a happy face. 

"No longer an issue." said Raph There was a short silence...

"Thanks for saving Donnie." said April, and the three turtles agreed with her very concerned. They hadn't quite digested that night yet.

She opened her mouth as if to say something, but then her gaze shifted to Donnie, and the two exchanged a look. It was as if these two were conversing by looking at each other. And so she just turned back to the others and smiled at them, "Then a thank you for my rescue would also be appropriate to you."

They all suddenly realized that they were very fortunate to be gathered here together and not to mourn any loss. Grateful smiles were now on their faces.

Donnie wished he had the courage to take her hand, when their eyes met again, but her attention wandered back to the door again.

“Sooooo, after all the thanks and apologies – what's your name?” Mikey asked, and everyone looked at her.

And at that moment Splinter came crashing into the kitchen pointing his finger at Donnie and the young woman he exclaimed with a dramatic voice:

"YOU KEEP YOUR DISTANCE IF YOU DON'T WANT TO CREATE ANOTHER DISASTER!"

Everyone stared at him in bewilderment. But the young woman, unperturbed, raised her hands, clenched her right fist and placed it on her open left hand in greeting. 

“Go aisatsu Hamato Yoshi”

 I enjoyed writing this because it also gives me an excuse to write sweet fluff and angst… teehee.

Leonardo:

-The leader in blue would HAtE it. Thinking of you working so far away for so much time would kill him. 

-Your his little baby, and he should be protecting you from the line of fire, but he can’t really do that if your like, half-way across the world.

-At first he’s pretty chill about your medical studies.

-Super proud Turt 

-He loves how well you get along with donnie, and help when they come back from patrol all injured.

-HOWEVEr once he remembers you’re going to leave him soon, he has a hard time accepting that. But being the gentleman he is, he’s not going to hold you back.

-You pick up on this and literally shower him with love every time you see.

-This turns him from a sad turt to a happy turt. 

-He even starts to expect your love attacks. Peppering his face with kisses and always hugging him or giving him massages on his shoulders, hands, arms. You don’t care if his brothers are around.

-He likes the extra attention. But the more he expects it, the more he knows he’ll miss it.

-he doesn’t complain though!

-Then the day comes were your sent to a base to help out, all the way to iraq.

-he has no idea where this until donnie shows him. He leaves his brothers lab with out another word.

-he almost’s cries. he spends the rest of the day meditating 

-His heart is literally broken. Your last day at the lair is pretty sad, he doesn’t cry. 

-YOU DO THOUGH!

-He knows how badly you want to do this and knows that if he cries or makes you feel guilty, it would be a real dick move. 

-he knows how much this means to you. He won’t ruin it.

-Though leo doesn’t really like kissing you in front of his brothers, he doesn’t care today.

-He holds your chin for a deep and sensual kiss. the second is sweet and light. he’ll miss those the most. 

-he misses your waist, pretty eyes, small hands, cute human nose and the way you’d rub it on his snout.

-He cries himself to sleep most nights….

Raphael:

-Big red here would be FuRiouS

-”You’re definitely not doing this”. This makes Y o u furious. You both fight.

-He tries to reason that it was a death wish, you get defensive. You can hold your own! 

-you don’t speak to each other for days..

-That is until donnie tells you he needs your help to patch the redboi up.

-You melt when you see him, your hands still steady as you stitch him up, but the weird sniffle you keep making is a dead giveaway that your crying. 

-You hate seeing him so injured, and in the middle of a fight you get so scared when donnie calls you up to help

-When your done stitching his side you hug him and cry, you apologize for being so insensitive. 

-You agree that it was unfair of yourself to expect him to just support your career choice and even offer to leave it behind.

-His heart breaks, you were seriously offering leaving behind your dream job and keep working at that shitty convenience store you hate sm just for him.

-his mutant ass!, he never knew how he got so lucky.

-He hugs you so tight you think your ribs were going to pop. But he can’t believe you’d throw your future away for a freak like him.

-is..is he crying?

-You both make up, and he admits that it’s going to be hard for him to be able to let you go for so long. But he doesn’t want you to suffer at your old job, he wants you to be happy.

-He encourages from now on. Training you and making you work out with him.

-During workouts it’s hard not to kiss. He’s always so grabby~

-From then on he N e v e r leaves you alone. If he's not training or patrolling, he’s with you. Doesn’t matter if your working, he’s texting you.

-After patrol? At your place. You fell asleep? He slips in beside you. Your days off he’s at your place or he asks you to come to his.

-He gets really handsy too. A l l the time, even in front of his brothers. It super embarrassing to get a slap on the ass when your literally having a conversation with any of his bros.

-You two almost never get sleep….

-Game night is now a thing, and it's very serious. No one can convince the two of you otherwise.... 

-Uno was banned...

-oh, he cries on your last day, he tried pep talking himself the night before not to. It didn’t work.

-and it isn’t a tear, they’re waterworks.

- Of course it isn’t in front of his brothers.

-It’s just before you climb the steps up to the manhole. He just breaks. Holds you back once you pull back from your last kiss. 

-How would he survive without kissing those lips for so long?

-He trembles as he pulls you in close and cries.

-You hold him as he sobs, the tears spilling from your own eyes. He cradles you as he slowly sits on the grimy sewer floors. But he just doesn’t care right now and neither do you. 

-Your late, but you don’t care. 

Donatello:

-This sweetie would be so conflicted, some days he’d be so distant as you started your studies. And than others he wouldn’t keep his hands off you.

-At first you didn’t push it. He’s allowed to be angry, or sad. It wasn’t exactly easy news to swallow. And you never questioned him on the days he was “too busy for date night”.

-Butttt once your anniversary comes up and he actually FORGETS. You cry.

- you sob cry for the entire day. You try calling and he doesn’t pick up, texting you back one of his excuses. 

-Donnie doesn’t think much of it, he just needed some time to himself, he hadn’t realized…. 

-He of course remembers the next day and feels horrible.

-When he finally has a chance to go topside and sneaks on your balcony, guess what your doing? S o b b i n g.

-His heart literally cracks when he sees your trembling shoulders and huge tears that slide down your eyes. Your holding your phone, hoping for a text, a call. Anything.

-Your eyes are huge and red, your room is a mess. All of your nursing textbooks and military posters were either in the trash can in your room or on the floor. 

-he can tell you cried all night.

-He should have known better than to sulk in his own feelings. You were strong and could handle yourself, but you still had a heart! He should have been less selfish. Supported you. Talked to you, instead of flitting around the truth.

-He slips inside your room and slowly walks over you. Taking off any gear that might get in the way as he walked towards your bed.

-He lies all of his stuff next to you, and the second you see him you scream his name and throw your phone to the side. Jumping into his arms. He literally cannot feel like more of an ass hat when he holds you. Your sobbing as you say “I thought you didn't care anymore. I thought you didn’t love me anymore!” you say it over and over, your voice the definition of what fear sounds like. 

-He holds you tighter. Rubbing your back the way you liked and whispering back to reassure you “I love you dove, so much. I’m so sorry”. He does this until your tire out and when he tries to pull away you don’t budge. 

-He loves it. He knows that that’s a horrible thing to think rn, but you’re never really the clingy one. 

-He accepts it and holds you until you fall asleep in his arms. 

-The next day you both properly celebrate(he makes up for forgetting, all night) and talk about everything. Because it’s important for your relationship. 

-You both become inseparable, more than usual.

-he even helps you study, he moves ALL your stuff to the lair. 

-You live here now. 

-So the day you leave, donnie fights the urge to lock himself in his room alone. And instead locks himself with you!

-When it's time for you to leave, he won't budge.

- oh no. your gonna be late if don doesn't let go. 

-He offers to drive you though, his hand holding yours the whole ride. 

-Your last kiss is full of love and tears. You try so hard to be strong. But he ends up taking over this time. “It’s time for you to go dove”. He says in between tears.

Michaelangelo: 

-My poor baby boy wouldn’t even realize how long you’ll be gone until you both start talking about it. 

-he supports you 100% at first though

-”my angel cakes is so smart!”, “babe your so humble”, “baby you’re so perfect”, “ANGEL CAKES I NEED A NURSE!- I got a papercut, I need kisses to heal it”

-he even offers to help with the whole human anatomy part. 

-it’s super effective.

-Once he does realize how long you’ll be gone, he breaks. 

-You try and make him feel better, but it doesn’t work

-Poor baby is just gonna miss you so much! So anytime you have to leave for training, or you have to study, he cries. 

-He gives you puppy dog eyes and everything. Everytimeeee

-You cave so many times because of the tears. You hate seeing him cry. So you try to spend as much time with him as possible. Playing, cooking- even showering him. 

-he’s the clingest of the turtles.

-He sleeps still for a change just to hold you. You don’t even know how it’s possible. 

-though one night he cries in his sleep. Your awake and s h o o k. Your heart hurts. You never realized how much you were hurting him, and all things considered he was taking it like a champ! He still supported you 100%.

-You wake him up by kissing his tears away and hold him tightly. He wakes up with a jump.

-It was a nightmare and he reveals that he’s so scared that you won't love him the same anymore when you come back, or worse, you don’t make it back. 

-You reassure him that you’ll always love him, but you can’ts assure him for the second part. Not knowing how to answer. 

-he cries at that. He just holds you, he doesn’t want to let go. He just can’t

-The next morning you have a serious conversation, can he handle you leaving? Does he want you to leave this behind? He refuses to hold you back. But he asks for a hug…

-You give him a kiss too. 

-And he begs for another, you comply, and you comply to the next 5 he asks for until he brings you to his bedroom. 

-The night before you leave he has another nightmare, and you kiss him awake and sing to him until he falls back asleep. 

-The day your to leave, he cries sobs. 

-You hold him until he feels better. You kiss his tears away and promise to make it back. You promise this, if he promises to stay the good ol’ goofy mikey with his brother. 

-You both agree and you hold hands and steal kisses from each other on your walk to the manhole.

-The last kiss is heated and full of love. It’s just what you need. You want to steal another but know will come next if you do.
