Ruto and Darunia are the best I love having them around now, Ruto is constantly running around getting captured or retreating and getting all huffy about it and Darunia is just cracking puns in the middle of the battle. They’re so funny <3

I can’t believe tonight is making me share this okay. a little scrap of a play script, Final Control Room BUT no one can die because that was the challenge I set myself. the following ensues...

[The lights slowly come up on the Final Control Room, a dark, enclosed space with a single doorway upstage centre, a lantern hanging above the door providing dim light to the room, five chests around the outside and a button in the centre. Voices offstage.]

Eret: They will never suspect a thing.

Tommy: Look at us go. Speed, violence, momentum. 

[Laughter.] 

Tubbo: Oh my god. / Eret, what is this?

Tommy: Eret, / what the fuck is this-

[One by one, the L’Manbergians enter the room: Eret first, then Wilbur, followed by Tubbo, Tommy and Fundy. While the others look around in amazement and excitement, Eret spreads their arms wide, proudly proclaiming:]

Eret: Gentlemen, this is the final room. The Final Control Room.

[General sounds of amazement, awe, exclamations from the younger soldiers. Wilbur is quiet, opening his chest. Tommy stands over the button, looking up at Eret the other side of it who rests their hands atop it.]

Tommy: What does this button do?

[Eret smiles at him and removes their hands, indicating to him to press the button.]

Wilbur: There’s nothing in the chests.

[Tommy presses the button. Light spills into the room from doorways that open in the side walls, and Dream, George, Sapnap and Punz enter, weapons in hand. The L’Manbergians scream and shout in disbelief as they realise what’s happening and try to escape-]

Wilbur: A traitor!

[-but the Dream SMP fighters are faster, blocking the door. A scuffle ensues, but the L’Manbergians are ill-prepared for close quarters combat and are quickly defeated, each restrained by a Dream SMPer. Dream holds Tommy, Sapnap has Tubbo and George has Fundy pinned against a wall. Tubbo stands doubled-over in pain while Tommy’s nose is bleeding, and all four have lost their hats. Only Wilbur is unrestrained, standing downstage while Punz points a crossbow at him. He looks desperate, his arms in the air. There is a moment of stillness.]

Dream: Which one first?

Eret: Hold on-

Sapnap: I’ll go, if you don’t mind.

[He raises his sword to Tubbo’s neck.]

Wilbur: Don’t kill them! Please, if you’re gonna kill anyone kill me, but not them, they’re just kids, please-

Eret: There will be no need to kill them.

[A silent conversation between Eret and Dream. Dream chuckles.]

Dream: All of you drop your weapons. In fact, drop everything, or we will kill you. Now.

[Wilbur complies immediately, throwing down his sword and undoing his armour with shaking hands. Tubbo and Fundy quickly follow, as the Dream SMPers let go of the L’Manbergians to facilitate this, picking up their things and throwing them into the exit tunnels. Only Tommy stands resolute, glaring at Dream and Eret.]

Dream: C’mon Tommy. Drop your stuff. [beat] Drop your stuff [he raises his axe in Tubbo’s general direction] or else.

[Tommy obliges, seething. He finishes last, but is first to be pushed to the floor by a shove from Dream. Tubbo and Fundy are similarly pushed to their knees, as the Dream SMPers hop into the exit tunnels to leave, the L’Manbergians too stunned or too scared of the consequences to move. Eret stands in front of Wilbur, takes off their hat and places it over the button. They raise their hand in mocking salute.]

Eret: Down with the revolution, boys!

[They sweep-kick Wilbur’s legs from beneath him, and he crashes to the ground.]

Eret: It was never meant to be.

[A moment’s pause, and then Eret takes the lamp from above the door. They look at what they’ve done one more time, smile, and exit into one of the tunnels. Each one is blocked from the outside, and the Final Control Room is plunged into total darkness. Silence, and then:]

Tommy: Shit.
