I haven't worked much on Tuna's backstory recently.. but I imagined that his blood family was gone.. he lived on a ship with a real rotten crew that was horrible to him.

As for how he joined Seafoam's crew, I imagined that the crew rescued him somehow. Maybe Tuna's old crew attacked Seafoam's crew but he kicked their butts. Perhaps in all the chaos Tuna was left behind by "mistake", only for Foam to welcome him aboard?

Maybe his old crew got too intense and he ran, somehow running into Seafoam and he offered shelter? Or maybe his old ship sank and he was found by Seafoam..? Something along those lines-- XD

Well that's hard to say.. I usually draw comics all in one pass. I sketch out the entire comic, and then I go back and draw all the line art, and then I go back and color it all in..

So in that sense 1 drawing for a comic could take days to complete. But if I were to focus on just one panel/drawing? I would guesstimate about 10-15 minutes :0

Now my name! My memory is a little foggy.. but one of my favorite things to do in drawing is to apply logic, reason and explanations for things.

For example, Captain Barnacles! He's a polar bear wearing a full suit and lives out in the Pacific Ocean. Obviously there's a lot that doesn't make sense about that- but mainly the fact that Barnacles would be way too hot!

So I remedy this by making my version of Barnacles have very short fur, a special diet that thins out his blubber, and a special suit that helps keep him cool! It's not perfect obviously but it helps make him living out in the Pacific seem more reasonable. Which is what I love to do, and how I thought of my name! Applying fact to fantasy, Factual Fantasy!

Hm, Bibi's worst fear.. that would have to be something bad happening to me or any of the fam I'd assume <XD

Nothing bad actually happened to Red, that nightmare just manifested because she loves/worries about him so much 🥺💞 Like a mother having dreams about their children getting hurt. Nothing exactly happened to cause it, but they just worry about their babies so much that those dreams happen sometimes..

Well one of the pirates makes the mistake of grabbing one of Octos tentacles and twirling it around. Octo immediately reacts and uses the other tentacles on his head to restrain his hand and start choking the guy-

The rest of the crew is just laughing and calling that pirate an idiot while he continues to struggle to get away from the angry Octo 🤣

JOHN AND FRANCESCA!!! 🥰🥹🥺😭 Honestly, how dare they make me love them as a pair so much when we know what happens to him?? But I love what Hannah Dodd is doing with Fran and this makes me SO EXCITED (but scared) for her eventual season.

These storylines that I loved aside, there are TOO MANY UNNECESSARY STORYLINES. I like Will and Alice as characters, but I didn't need their storyline. The whole "Featherington sisters don't know how to fuck" was funny once or twice for comic relief, but I do not need a whole thing of it. I ADORE Ben, but like, what are we doing here with Lady Arnold? I fully support Violet getting some action and am intrigued by whatever the deal is with Lady D and her brother, but I could take or leave most of the Marcus Anderson stuff at this point. I just wish that they had cut a few of these and spent more time with Colin and Pen and/or Pen and Eloise (or I would never complain about more Kanthony, but I can acknowledge that they're not the focus of the season, so fine).

I'm super glad they took the note on season 2 not being horny enough and were like WE'RE DIALING IT UP TO 10 🔥 Everybody get you some action this season, we love to see it.

All of this said, I'm super enjoying it so far and DYING THAT WE HAVE TO WAIT A WHOLE MONTH FOR THE SECOND HALF! 🫠 Excited/terrified to see how they handle the Whistledown (wo)manhunt, and forever grateful for the romance genre where you know it ends in an HEA.

I'm off to write some fic to cope (and I hope you all do the same so I can enjoy yours!). And I would love to know others' thoughts - I've been loving to see everyone's reactions, even where they're different from mine!

I had a fremellei brainrot I need to share with someone (I WOULD JOIN THE DISCORD BUT IT WOULDN'T LET ME FOR SOME GOD FORSAKEN REASON😭)

So, I doubt Collei would be able to swim. Maybe Tighnari tried to teach her but it just didn't work out. So while visiting fontaine, she mentions this to Freminet and she talks about how she'd like to be able to dive and look at all the sea creatures and explore. And she says it with this longing in her eyes that Freminet just MELTS for. And he nervously says-

"Well....I could teach you how to swim.....if you wanted..."

(I think this would happen after Collei gets a bit more comfortable with touch)

Collei just lights up at the idea and gets really excited. Not only because she'd finally learn how to swim, but also because she would have an excuse to spend time with Freminet!!

So Freminet starts giving Collei swimming lessons, going step by step to make sure she's comfortable. I think this would also be Collei getting to see just how passionate Freminet is about diving, and that would like- make her even more attracted to the sweet boy🥺

Finally, the day comes where Collei is finally able to start diving. Freminet is with her the entire time, and makes sure nothing bad happens to her. While Freminet is keeping watch for her, Collei is just having the time of her life. Looking at all the sea creatures, getting close to them (stressing out Freminet I'm sure lol). And Freminet just looks in her eyes, seeing the wonder and curiosity she has. And just that look, makes him fall for her even harder

Eventually the pull up and take a breather. They sit near the water and talk about the experience. Collei is just talking about how she's so excited to show Cyno, Amber, and Tighnari that she can swim, and also tell them about the cool stuff she saw. And she's saying all this Freminet's looking at her with pure adoration in his eyes. Thinking about how pretty she looks when she's all excited. And at that moment, all his self consciousness just kinda goes away, and he gets lost in Collei's presence

Collei eventually realize she was rambling and gets embarrassed and apologizes. Freminet reassures her that it's okay and laughs

"....that was amazing for your first time diving Collei.."

"Ah...was it really??? I'm glad!! I felt a little nervous at first but I knew I was safe because you were with me Freminet!!"

Freminet smiles and continues to look at Collei adoringly

"....you're amazing, Collei..."

And somehow, his body acts without him thinking and he gives her a kiss on the cheek. Collei is stunned by the sudden action and just freezes in place, face flushing with red and brain just short circuiting. Freminet soon realizes what he did and just thinks "oh shit I messed up- what if she hates me now?? I should've gotten consent, did I just ruin our friendship?? oh no, oh no, oh no-"

He clears his throat and stands up, trying to compose himself, telling Collei that they should head back now before it gets dark, swiftly trying to change the subject. And Collei's mind is racing, and she feels like she should say or do something. As Freminet begins to starts walking away, she stands up and grabs him arm

"Freminet-!"

"Hm-?"

And she pulls him back a bit, and returns the kiss on the cheek. They just .....stare at each other for a little while before both clearing their throats and being like "um yeah so we should go back now"

And they are both left internally SCREAMING after that incident. And I think that would be the turning point in their relationship where they realize they both have feelings for each other.

Shadowsinger and the Inkbird is so heartachingly beautiful, talk about a slow slow burn of soulmates, I think I re read their hug scene maybe 10 times at the very least and then we go right back into the angst,,,,,,Az is going to have to re learn to hold her 🥺🥺🥺 but seriously, this story is so well written and I am so excited to continue reading! I found this a few days ago and I just want to say first of all your writing is so engaging, it is such a joy to read.

Second of all this is just me adoring Ash, cause in the hotel scene in chapter 3 I saved just in case Ash disapproved of the execution style death, genuinely read every new sentence while metaphorically glancing at Ash all “Do you still like me?”

And I just got to the scene in chapter four where Ash ask if MC thinks they’re horrible for wanting to get vengeance on the people who killed their mum and just—I am so emotional about the unintended parallel, just. My MC glancing at Ash in the pool and Ash in the car, just? I love them so much.

I am so curious to meet the other two in a bit because I was originally super interested in the Santana romance, but I truthfully don’t know if I’ll be strong enough to spend three chapters not flirting with Ash (that is meant as a compliment, you’ve written Ash so compellingly and wonderfully and just. yeah.)

Mermaid Reader! Coming more and more often to his cave, often with some small gifts or snacks. It makes his heart beat wilder and wilder, every little greeting from you, every little glance you exchange with him makes him wonder if he's not just finally losing it.

But then you ask him the worst question that could've ever left your mouth; "Why haven't you hurt me. Why haven't you chased me away?"

And what can he respond to that? How can he face his feelings? He knows what the people say about him, not that he cares for it but he's not blind either. How does he tell you, him, the person who's cursed many in the past...that he's scared. He's terrified to hurt you. He even wonders if he's allowed to feel like this, you who's just still clueless to everything he does for you, of WHY he does it all for you.

So he does what he knows best. He pretends to scare you with another little trick, yet you know that this time the weird shadows on the walls of his cave aren't set to actually scare you. Hell they make you laugh by now...and that's the laugh he loves. The smile he adores. His little mermaid who knows nothing of how he could be so cold and straight edged with others, yet so desperately warm and tender with you. He morphs the shadows into something a bit more entertaining for you, small fishes all coming to leave featherlight kisses alongside your face.

And although he has distracted you for a few minutes just with this, you ask the question again. He groans but smiles nonetheless, glad you're able to see right through his defense and trickery. He sits down in front of you, looking up at you as he holds your webbed hands in his. You're still sporting his pearls, necklaces and earrings, fully ornate with them.

"I'll ask you a better question my delicate seafoam. How am I to hurt the one thing that shines down here? You're the only light down here."

And it works, it clicks for once. Your palms get warm, warmer than you're used to. So does your face. Your heart races, it always does when he stares at you a bit too long. The nickname, the tender stare, the smile he shines to you, the lingering touches. The reader finally realized that just maybe...Hobie might just want them. Not their voice, not any of the usual things he asks when he makes a deal. No he desperately is trying to give it all to you, to give you his heart.
