Hello Everyone

How are you all? Good I hope! :)

You may have noticed I've been posting less. This is because of a few different things came up that have been getting in the way. However, just to be clear, I'm not leaving. Never in a million years. Things might have to change a bit though. So, let me answer the question

What Happened?

The first thing that happened was the release of Dragons Rising Season 2. I wasn't expecting so much discourse to spawn from it. And as a person who uses this space as a way to escape negativity in the real world, that was upsetting for me. And I didn't want to be involved in any of it. So I decided to take a break for awhile. That started a chain reaction of me not being as timely with my release of leaks, news, fun facts and general posting. In addition, I also ended up shortly afterwards getting a huge case of burnout.

Thankfully, both the discourse and the burnout has died down a bit. (Although admittedly, I'm still scared to go anywhere near the Ninjago tag.😅) But to my surprise, something else came up. One of my other side blogs started taking off. I wasn't expecting it too. I had planned to keep it small since I was already working on many things here. But one thing lead to another, and now I'm frantically juggling two blogs that both need attention.

Hopefully I can get this all sorted out. I have a few idea that should work. Now, finally I can answer

What Happens Next?

Well, first and foremost, my projects. I should be very clear, none of the them are being shelved! Production will continue as usual, albeit a bit slower. In fact, the first episode of Ninjago: Rough Riders is almost ready for release! It just needs some finishing up and proof reading. And Ninjago: Into The Deep is coming too. However updates for these projects will no longer have a set release date and content will be released for them whenever I feel it is finished. This is merely for the sake of my own mental health and a way to keep myself from being burnout too quickly.

Other smaller projects such as the ROTTMNT x Ninjago AU, the NeverRealm Analysis Video, and various articles I had planned will have to be put on the back burner. Still coming. But later. News, trivia, and leaks may also come a bit slower. But I'll try my best to stay on top of that at least.

I really wanna know if you've abandoned your Rottmnt horror au because I want to absorb all I can about it because I'm so incredibly invested in it now, but you haven't posted anything about it in a long time and I unfortunately aren't a part of your discord server. (I hope I haven't come off as too mean or pushy, this is just a really interesting au! :D)

To be quite honest, I've sort of fallen out of the tmnt fandom :(( my brain only has space to think about so many things at a time and it decided that it wanted to focus on MCYT and batman. So, I haven't really thought about them all that much.

Still! This AU is not completely abandoned! I may draw them and drop some headcanons every now and then, since they're still my special little boys :)

I told you. It's pretty crazy. Anyway, these are almost every character that has ever interacted with the turtles whether significantly or not. Now that I'm looking at the list, I'm really blown away by how different these interactions are. It's awesome! Seriously, it looks like the the only things that stayed the same was the turtles, Splinter, April, Casey, Shredder, and Karai. The Kraang too but I'll talk about that in a second.

In the Au, Stockman might've gone to the store Stockboy works at and chatted about machines and whatnot. Tang Shen and Gram Gram Karai would also have gotten along pretty well I think (they share the same voice actor too so that's a nice touch). I don't think Draxum would've worked together with Shredder. Saki tends to boss others around and Draxum's pride wouldn't have liked that. It's possible that Shredder tricked Draxum into wearing the armor, but the chance of finally gaining the power necessary to achieve his goal would've been too good to pass up. Saki isn't above using enhancers as a last resort. He would've worn the Dark Armor on his own and become the 'Super' Shredder. One last thing to note is that technically speaking and looking back at Rise canon, the Hamato clan originally was a part of the foot clan. It's weird right?? The split happened when the leader of the Foot clan at the time wore the Dark Armor and went on a rampage. He had done so with the best of intentions but he couldn't control the armor's need to destroy. The man (who happens to also be called Oroku Saki, might name change in this au) had a daughter whose name was Karai. She would go on to create the Hamato clan and seal away the Shredder and herself. That's what happens in this Au at least and aligns closely with canon for the most part. 2012 didn't have much lore when it comes to the Hamato clan, aside from what happened to Tang Shen, so that's why I chose Rise canon as a building point.

Now the Krang is in a weird spot. In canon the 2012 Kraang are brainwashed by Kraang Prime with only a few that managed to break free of his control, calling themselves Utrom. Rise canon sees something similar to this in that the Krang are invaders that can take control of both machines and organic beings. Rise fans also know that Krang are actually the reason for Yokai in the first place through the Empyrean they brought and that they created the Dark Armor. In terms of the Au, the 2012 Kraang only want to free Krang Prime which is Rise Krang. (Brother and Sister Krang are also there but we don't see a lot of love for them so.) There were a few 2012 Kraang that decided to rebel and called themselves the Utrom. The creation of Yokai through the Empyrean and the banishment of Krang Prime and his siblings happened long ago, just like Rise canon.

No one really knows who sealed them away, time had eroded the knowledge away to the point of meaninglessness. There are definitely several legends about it that try to explain what exactly happened but it's never explained. Maybe it was the Utrom trying to atone for the sins of their past, or maybe, just maybe, it was a group of great warriors?

RISE OF THE TMNT

Initium Novum (#inau) Told from the perspective of an OC (lost turtle sibling called Masaccio (Acie)), takes place during the show and has a lot of other OCs in it if that's not your jam

What Do You Do When You Fall Into Heaven? (#fihau) Told from multiple perspectives, takes place during/after the movie and is a hurt/comfort. The same cast as Initium Novum, with some additions :) I really wanted to write the future guys man they all show up at some point

Who's That Hamato? (#wthau) Kind of an au of Initium Novum, it's what if Acie was also taken in by Splinter. Explores a different facet of them, explores how their relationships would be different in a different situation.

We Have Got To Stop Meeting New People Like This (#snpau) Another Initium Novum/WDYDWYFIH au but this one's Ninjago :) Similar to House of the Rising Sun (Shells) in that the Merge caused their world to join the Merged Realms, they all explore this new world and Acie gets to go nuts.

Boys of Summer (#bosau) Non-OC au, it's another separated au throw the confetti throw the sparkles- Leo focused, he's still with Splinter but Draxum is there as well and has been redeemed, the others found their own ways out of the lab and ended up in different places.

Rise from the Dead (#rftdau) Non-OC au, puts a ghostly spin on the story. The turtles are all ghosts that only April can see. There's no yokai and no mystics, but multiple yokai characters are still in the story, just as humans.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Critters (#tmncau) Sort of Minecraft au but not really, I just really really love the fanon Minecraft hybrids so I made the turtles into them :). They're mutants still but they've got distinctly Minecraft hybrid traits I've put sooo much thought into the traits for all the different hybrids it's so fun

Shell From Another Realm (#sfarau) A Rise/Ninjago crossover au, takes place post-Rise movie and post-Crystalized pre-Dragon's Rising. The turtles, April, and Casey end up in the world of Ninjago and try to find their way home while also trying to figure out this new world.

House of the Rising Sun (Shells) (#hotrsau) Another Rise/Ninjago crossover au, completely separate from the previous one in that this takes place during Dragon's Rising instead. When the Merge caused all the Realms to collide, Earth was one of them, and everyone ended up scattered across the Merged Realms. The Hamatos decide to settle in the Crossroads and meet some young faces.

NINJAGO

Some Assembly Required (#sarau) Completely rewrites the entire thing, based on the question "what if the bite from the Devourer didn't turn Garmadon evil and instead made him sick?" Garmadon is good and raising his children, the kids aren't really as in tune with their elemental powers, and I made a bunch of lore for it around the dragons and the other elemental masters please ask me about it please please /lh (has a couple ocs but not very many) (pretty shippy, a lot of poly relationships)

Web of Destiny (#wodau) Spiderman au, all six main ninja are a group of heroes, with Pixal as a vigilante. Other characters from the series feature as villains. The Dragons Rising cast also features.

The Dragon's Samurai (#tdsau) Crystalized ending rewrite, Pixal focused. Asking "what if their golden powers went haywire after they sent them to Lloyd, causing them to lose themselves? Also what if Nya got a golden form I'm so sad she didn't get one" Basically they get taken over by their powers and Pixal has to go talk some sense into them I lOVE PIXAL SO MUCH DO YOU UNDERST

Abnormal Reaction (#arau) DO YOU GUYS LIKE THE BIZARROS BECAUSE I DO this is entirely me wanting to have a Bizarro au they don't die after getting dusted they just regroup somewhere else and decide to go do their own thing after Garmadon gets defeated

A Different Vision of the Future (#advotfau) I'm lowkey embarrassed about this one lmAO it's a Genshin au,,,,, I probably won't write a fic for it like I will with the others but I wanted to draw it and explore the concept I don't even play Genshin anymore I'm crying

Ready Your Triforce, It's About To Have More Sides (#rytau) Do you guys like Breath of the Wild :) I like Breath of the Wild :) BotW/Ninjago crossover au besties they all end up in different points in time and get to interact with different pEOPLE lots of me messing around with dynamics

staring up at the sky (and hoping to see your face) (#suatsau) Veeeeery self indulgent self discovery au. Everyone but Lloyd is this almost godlike ruler of different concepts and they give him the chance to leave everything to come join them, and he has to make that decision.

Ninjas & Normies (#nanau) They're all just normal college students who like to play D&D, they each get a chance to run a campaign once they're taught how to play. Each campaign is based off a plot point or season from the show.

Departed and Service (#dasau) BASED ON Five Nights at Freddys NOT ACTUALLY A FNAF AU I don't know NEARLY enough about the fnaf lore to make an actual au with it but they're all animatronic characters from a very popular kid's TV show and Morro and Pixal are employees at their party place :) A bunch of side characters show up in this (Dragon's Rising cast also appears)

SPINJITZOON! (#spinau) It's a Splatoon au they're all having fun Ronin is basically Grizz he messes with their weapons and makes them more powerful (Dragon's Rising cast appears)

Pokemon Spin and Pokemon Whip (#pspwau) Pokemon au!!! There's two different parts to this, the first one starring Kai Nya and Lloyd, and the second starring Arin Sora Wyldfyre and Euphrasia! They all go on their adventures and in the second part Kai Nya and Lloyd see themselves in these kids and want to help them go farther

Adventures of the Dragon (#aotdau) Another D&D au but this one is them just living in a D&D fantasy style world :) silly things ensue this one's more just art than fully written story

Shapes and Colors (#sacau) Minecraft au! They're a group of friends who play on a server together and some of them are streamers and youtubers who record these sessions and put it out there for their fans, some of them do lore while some of them have no idea what's going on any of the time. Other elemental masters and Dragons Rising characters appear. (shippy, but mostly with their little characters that they made for the lore)

Lights, Camera, Action! (#lcaau) Silly actor au! Not much else to it

Song of the Sirens (#sotsau) Mermaid au, some of them are pirates and others are mermaids. Just some fun dynamics with some human/nonhuman shipping :)

Mobs of a Feather Flock Together (#moafftau) Another,, another Minecraft au this one is like Adventures of the Dragon in that they live in this world and also they're all different Minecraft hybrids I got really really into Minecraft hybrids man I just really like to draw them,,,, Dragons Rising cast is included

Ninjagoing Going Gone (#gggau) Sort of Scooby Doo-esque mystery au, kind of a blend between movieverse and showverse. Starring Arin, Sora, Wyldfyre, and Euphrasia, they're looking for the old heroes they used to hear about as kids who completely disappeared years ago. They find Lloyd and force him convince him to help them, even though he's not so sure he can.

These Problems Are Multi-Faceted (#tpamfau) Gem au! Like from Steven Universe! Except it's not a Steven Universe au, it doesn't follow the plot of the show at all. Super quick synopsis is Pink Diamond grew tired of the way things were on Homeworld and so rebelled, escaping with his fellow rebels to a planet already under his control. After lots of fighting and the establishment of a shaky truce, an Emerald and his crew are sent to the planet to try and bring Pink back.

2018!SEPARATED AU!

I decided to post my rottmnt separated au here (you can find it on my tiktok) so let’s start with MIKEY!

Michelangelo was found by big mama at one years old when some of her employees found the toddler seemingly wandering the sewers all alone, which in reality was separated from his brothers and father when the rats back was turned.

When the boy was given to her Big mama considered turning the toddler and raising it as her nexus warrior but she quickly grew attached and raised the boy as her son and heir to her “company”

Michelangelo now works at the nexus hotel as a waiter, he meet Leonardo during the episodes bug busters and was the first to reunite with his brothers. He was never allowed to leave the hotel as a child especially in New York, many of the staff would consider big mama over protective and once Michelangelo snuck out…he never will anymore tho.

- Has a British accent and uses nonsense words just like big mama

- wanted to be just like big mama and when he was five he snuck some of her makeup and smeared it on, when he got older big mama started teaching them how to put makeup on in his own

- he has an elegant pocketknife in his sleeve for self defense (all employees incapable of magic are issued one) he never used it and heaven forbid he hurts anyone

- all the staff adore him , having known him since he was a baby Michelangelo basically considers them family although he has a closer relationship like a big sister and little brother with big mamas body guard Venus

- he had to have braces Once, was super insecure about it

- he’s never eaten pizza before, big mama considers it extremely unhealthy and unsanitary that it will ruin his appearance and diet. He is kept on a very strict diet.

- he sometimes watches the battle nexus with his mama, that’s were he’s heard of lou jitsu, he’s managed to find a few of his movies were he keeps hidden in his room, he absolutely idolizes him.

- while he sees Lou jitsu as the strongest man like ever he will always be a mamas boy and thinks it’s normal how big mama acts towards him.

- has been through at least five assassination attempts through the years: poisoned twice, kidnapped twice, and attempted murdered one time

TMNT 2012: The chaos with Season 5 + Nickelodens failure.

The post should originally different but the more I dug into it...the more interesting stuff I found.

Not only is the TMNT 2012 Community in divide what the true ending is and rather or not S.5 is canon...BUT the TMNT 2012 Crew themselves are also divided.

I did some research and found..some interesting stuff.

Season 5 canonically is EXTREMLY questionable and no "Tales" doesn't confirm it's non-canon because it can be in Theory also an after story....and the Titel in inspired from a Mirage.

So it CAN hint as AU but it's not 100% clear

Conclusion:

What the ending is and what's canon or not is...up to you.

The Crew is divided as is the Community.

It's really rather or not if you prefer believing Nickeloden or the Crew or how you see it.

I personally see it like:

Owari is the end of the Story.

The Mutant Apocalypse is the ending of the Series due to it's production order.

The Big Blowout is the series finally due to it's Air Date.

I personally see Season 5 mostly canon expect the The Mutant Apocalypse.

Nickelodeon's Failure on TMNT

You wanna know what's bullshit?

The Crew themselves seem disappointed that the Series ended like that.

But Nickeloden said "Hey, let's make ROTTMNT WHILE TMNT2012..what can go wrong?".

What has gone wrong:

TMNT 2012 had no real ending and the ending it got is disappointment.

ROTTMNT failed because it was rushed and barley promoted because it came too soon.

TMNT 2012 & ROTTMNT fans hate Nickelodeon for messing up TMNT.

And the worst part:

BOTH 2012 & ROTTMNT had A LOT leftovers, scrapings and more.

Yes, TMNT 2012 could have had a 6th Season, the Crew didn't said no...Nickeloden didn't wanted another Season.

What's left: Many characters still alive but with plot-holes like Fugitoid or the Squirrelanoids.

Not only that but while researching I found an Interview from 2019 where Ciro Nieli told an idea for a "spin-off" of TMNT 2012 INSPIRED from the ROTTMNT Movie with the only problem being Nickeloden.

ROTTMNT being cancelled, had too many stuff scrapped Episodes and the Movie was dragged for 2 years because of Nickelodeon and also failed terrible in the toy market due to low promotion.

Fans are left with 2 seasons and just some extras on YT.

I hate to say it..but it seems TMNT TV cartoons have reached their end, Nickeloden still owns TMNT and they messed the last two up by not planning, cancelling and more.

You talking about a Lego Monkie Kid and TMNT 2012 and/or ROTTMNT crossover and/or reincarnation crossover au thing brings me so much joy. Can't tell u how much I now that in my life as someone who loves both TMNT and LMK so much.

I gotta say though, Rise Donnie as MK is a bit of a odd choice (would probably be very funny though). But I know that is like, the crack take, I think.

Also gotta ask, TMNT 2012 (or ROTTMNT) reincarnated into LMK crossover (au), who would u put to be reincarnated as who? Either a crack take or a more legit take and/or both?

To me, I could see, depending on the story I am going for or the character stuff I am going for or whatever, it could go many different ways. But I just wanted to see ur/others take(s) on it as well.

ROTTMNT LMK reincarnation AU(Really needs a name) is something more crack-ish for me to write. Considering when I thought who to put in each version, I thought it would be funny to have Donnie to be MK.

I could’ve chosen Lowe-key when Macaque was revive to suddenly have Donnie’s memories, but no. I chosen Mikey because I think him being Macaque is funny as well. Leo is coming close to second to Macaque

And April is obviously Mei. Cassandra can be Red Son lmaoooo

In ROTTMNT, nothing is really hold serious there, and I prefer it that way.

But TMNT 2012, I would say Mikey is MK. Rather basic but those are the best.

Tang Shen is related to Tang(cuz name and stuff), and Macaque is somehow roped into the Hamato life because he got acquaintance with Shen. How? Not sure yet.

Really debating hard if Mei to have reincarnated memories or not. Like do I want her as Mei, and actually a human friend that likes the Hamato because they didn’t save her or have April or Karai to be her.

While Mikey’s brothers is either still the same but different species eggs that Splinter had the sudden urge to steal and have no regrets on doing so or Im taking some characters in LMK to be reincarnated.

Unless we go to the crazy, dark, and depressing timeline where Mikey is the only one reincarnated and didn’t that like, so he decided to use his clones and use glamour on them and ta-da! Hamato family 2.0!

I really can’t do IDW right now since it’s not yet finished and I don’t have access to Vol 14

But if I finally finished 1987 TMNT, you can bet your pizzas that MK is Raph. Sassy little shit that breaks the fourth wall soooo much.

Sadly, for the TMNT movies, I really have no thoughts on them. 2003 is something in my watch list, that I will live blog. Surprisingly, the only spoiler I had is SAINW, Shredder is a Krang, Bishop ain’t a robot, Leatherhead is a scientist, Casey And April, and Baxter is a brian.

There were many things Raph was happy about. Like being 'alive' again, getting reunited with his brothers, seeing familiar faces in the Resistance…

There was something that bothered him though. A lot.

He wasn't sure how many years passed. While he was 'offline' (as Donnie would describe) it was impossible to tell that. He didn't remember anything from that time. It was as if he had fallen into a deep sleep.

And that brought memories. Bad ones. Things he'd rather forget, like the dark cold feeling as he was pulled into another deep sleep—

You're safe, Raph.

He took a deep breath. Let it out. (Thankfully Dee had made his robot body work as similar to his organic body, as much as he could.) He was safe and with his family. Raph was okay.

Yeah, it wasn't what bothered him right now anyways. The thing was, how much he missed while being offline.

Clearly, way too many years had passed. Considering how much Casey Junior grew up and how his brothers had aged (especially Mikey, apparently years weren't kind to him, thank pizza supreme in the sky for Donnie’s new invention) in his absence. He guessed that at least twelve years must have passed.

Twelve years away from his family.

He didn't want to think too much about that. Not yet.

Instead, Raph decided he wanted to simply gain information about what he missed.

And luckily he had plenty of time and someone he could learn a part of what he missed, specifically possible embarrassing stories of his brothers' shenanigans. (There was no way these three didn't do something stupid in all of those past years.)

Leo and Donnie were on a field mission, Mikey was training, and April was on a super secret mission for a while now according to Leo. Which left him alone with no one other than Casey Jones Junior.

The teen was sitting next to him, leaning towards the large robot turtle as he cleaned his weapon.

Raph watched him for a bit before he spoke, "Casey, can I ask you a question?"

"Sure, uhh, Ma- Uncle Raphael." Casey replied.

"What did Raph miss?"

"Huh?" Casey turned to look at him a bit confused.

"I feel like I still need to catch up on a lot of things. I hoped you'd be helpful?" Raph explained.

Casey frowned, "I think Sensei would be better for that job, I didn't take an important role in missions until the recent years—"

"No, no, no, not missions and information about the Resistance," Raph already learned a summary of that from his brothers. "Raph means family."

"Ah." Casey put his weapon down, "Yes, I can help with that!" He turned to Raph to look at him better. "What would you like to know?"

Raph thought for a second before answering. "What did Donnie mean when he said he turned Leo into a tangerine-sized baby ?" Leo was stubbornly avoiding answering the question and he hadn't got the chance to ask Donnie or Mikey about that.

Casey grinned, "Uncle Tello was experimenting and Sensei was helping him. They tested it on Sensei, and he literally turned into a small baby." He explained. "He was so… small." Casey used his hands to show the scale of baby Leo. "I'd thought he'd be a giant toddler, and yet…"

Raph laughed, "I can't believe I missed that. I'd have loved to see him that small again." The memories of when they were tots, much smaller and tiny flashed before his eyes. He barely remembered those days anymore, yet the warmth of the good old days was something he always welcomed. "I sometimes forget how small we were."

Casey looked at him with concern, as if trying to wrap his mind around something. Maybe he was wondering if he'd be as tall as them like he would ask when he was four, or maybe he was thinking of how Raph could be that small back in the past. Finally, he shook his head, "I never thought I'd see Sensei like that. It was…"

"Odd?" Raph guessed.

"Yeah, and a bit scary." Casey nodded.

"Responsibility?"

Another nod.

Raph looked at the boy and considered saying anything about it., but decided against it. Casey seemed like he had already talked it out, even if he was drifting into his thoughts. Raph smiled, and asked another question, something silly to distract the boy: “Was he as naughty as in our time?”

“No, not really.” Casey hummed.

“Huh, when we were much younger he would cause a lot of trouble.” Raph said. “Maybe he was aware of himself this time?”

“Uncle Tello says he didn’t, but I am not sure.” Casey explained. "He claims he doesn't remember anything from his time like that, but I have my suspicions."

"Is that so?"

"Why would he have gotten embarrassed at the mention of chirping if not? And he always avoids the topic." The boy pointed out. The way he used his fingers to count his proofs and the way he talked reminded Raph of Donnie. "Also I caught him threatening a guy who had yelled at me earlier, when Sensei was tiny." He quickly added.

"Chirping, you say?" Raph asked with a joyful glint in his eyes.

"Yes!" Casey laughed. "I didn't even know he could chirp."

"That's a turtle thing. A thing that I didn't hear him make for years." Raph grinned.

"A turtle thing…" Casey briefly seemed to think about something, before continuing his tales.

Casey told him about other adventures, such as Mikey sleepwalk-floating around in the middle of the night and almost getting attacked by sleep-deprived Donnie, the twins getting banned from card games, and the karaoke night fiasco…

Even if his heart ached as he learned how much he missed out, he still enjoyed every single memory and story Casey shared with him. Even if he was not there, he still found comfort in them. (And of course possible material for comebacks against his brothers' silly annoying jokes.)

After who knows how long of talking, they were back to silence. Raph was glad it wasn't an awkward silence. He also felt lucky with how quickly Casey adapted to his presence and felt comfortable around him too. He knew very well how hard it was for everyone in the current times.

Then Casey looked at him and said, "Uncle Raphael, can I ask a question?"

"Of course, Casey."

"Is it true that you can multiply your form?” Casey asked.

“Yeah, it is!” Raph grinned. “But I haven’t done that for a long while. Thankfully it’s not necessary that often.”

Casey looked at him in a way that made Raph sure he was trying to figure out how multiplying worked. “I can show you if you want to see?” Raph offered.

The boy’s eyes shined with excitement as he nodded.

So Raph did his old trick and watched the boy look amazedly at him. He could tell Casey had many more questions, and Raph was ready to answer every single of them.

Because if there was one thing he was sure of, it was that he missed having small talks with his family. And besides, how could he say no to a chance to bond with the kid more? He had many years to make up for after all.

That was how their time passed. Talking about memories and simple things, having laughs over embarrassing things (that mostly his brothers did), and answering questions.

Though he had to admit, he never expected to hear this question:

“What’s a Godzilla?”

Raph blinked in confusion, “Where did that come from?”

“I once heard someone say that you were like Godzilla. As big as it is or something like that.” Casey explained.

“Ah, it is a fictional character. A big dinosaur-like thing. A giant reptilian monster.”

“Something like the aliens from Jupiter Jim?” Casey asked excitedly.

“Yes! Kind of.” Good thing his siblings hadn’t forgotten to teach Casey the essential knowledge. “I’m glad you’re familiar with the series.”

“Of course! I know it all, including Jupiter Jim Pluto Vacation 4 — the best movie.” Casey said proudly.

Raph stared at him in shock. “Did you mean Jupiter Jim Sails The Seven Galaxies ?”

“No, that’s the second best movie.”

No way Casey had said that. Raph knew who was behind this though, and he mentally took a note to have a nice talk with Donnie and remind him why Jupiter Jim Sails The Seven Galaxies is the best one truthfully. Meanwhile, he had a kid to save from false information. “So Casey, would you like to learn more about the movies?”

Leo was so dang tired of the repeating nightmares.

The same fucking memories blended together in different ways. Seeing the same faces and colors, and hearing the same screams again and again and again —

His brain wasn't kind to him, he already knew that. It still annoyed him, though. But it was like that for the last ten-something years. Old habits die hard, huh?

Except Raph was no longer dead. And he was such a great big brother that welcomed him every time Leo felt way too bad to go back to sleep.

The truth was that Leo didn't only seek comfort, but he wanted to make sure Raph was there. He needed to be sure he was alright.

Some nights he'd check the rest of his family's rooms too. He knew Donnie had a similar habit too, except he'd check their vitals and locations from the trackers he put on them instead.

Quietly Leo walked towards Raph's room. The big guy was there, as always. Awake too. Leo knew he would never ‘sleep’ before his brothers did since the time he didn’t need sleep. (And that some nights he'd stay awake just to make sure they would be safe.) His bright eyes noticed him in no time. "Nightmares?"

Leo simply nodded, feeling too tired to say anything.

Raph opened his arms, welcoming him to a hug. Leo gladly approached him and hugged him back. Embracing the hug, the safety of his big brother- even if he was made of titanium- gave him the biggest comfort.

Leo finally relaxed, enough to fall asleep.

He'd fall asleep if it wasn't for the noise coming from Donnie's lab, followed by a loud " Fuck !"

Ah, yes. As Leo mentioned earlier, old habits die hard. Donnie was overworking and probably chugging coffee as usual. He should've guessed, considering how when Leo manages to sleep it's usually Donnie's turn to be the insomniac of the night.

Raph sighed. Then he got up without letting go of Leo. "All those years, and you guys still don't sleep." He murmured.

Leo smirked, "I'm not guilty tonight." he yawned.

" Tonight ." Raph repeated, emphasizing the word.

Soon they arrived at Donnie's lab. Opening the doors, they were met with a loud hiss coming from Donnie. As Raph stood with Leo held in his arms at the doorway, Donnie froze with realization.

"Donnie."

"Raph."

"Its 4 am."

Donnie looked away and started to fiddle with his hands. "Gasp, is it? Well, better I go to sleep—"

Before he was able to squirm away, Raph caught him with his free hand. As he held him, Donnie once again froze. Leo snickered as he watched them. With Donnie in one hand and Leo in the other arm, Raph began walking back to his room. "That's enough work for tonight, Donnie."

"But–-"

"No buts, you sleep. Now."

"Ha ha! Got busted." Leo smirked.

"Shut it, as if it wasn't you who gets scolded five times in a week for not sleeping." Donnie retorted.

"It's four, actually." Leo corrected him.

"Wrong. It's five."

"Four."

"Five."

" Four ."

" Five ."

"If you don't shut up and rest, it will become seven days a week." Raph threatened lightheartedly.

As Raph lay on the bed, Donnie scoffed and gave in. He knew there was nothing he could do to escape Raph's grip- curse him for making Raph's arms so powerful!- so he accepted his fate. Leo yawned once again, while Donnie started snoring in no time.

"He's been working on something nonstop lately." Leo commented, looking at his twin.

"Do you have any idea what it is?" Raph whispered.

"Maybe. Not sure though." Leo closed his eyes.

"Does it have anything to do with the tot-you experiment?"

Leo's eyes flew open. "What?"

"You possibly couldn't have forgotten that."

"Who told you- Casey !" That little snitcher.

"It doesn't sound bad." Raph said.

"It was bad." Leo protested.

"So you remember."

"No." Leo replied a bit too quickly.

"Sure." It was Raph's turn to smirk.

Leo bit his tongue, there was no way Raph didn't understand that Leo knew everything that happened while he was in that whole situation. Well, shit. "Please never bring this up ever again." He groaned.

"Okay," Raph said. Leo sighed, but Raph hadn't finished. "I didn't know you still chirped."

" Nooooooooo ," Leo whined. "Not this again." This embarrassment was too much.

Raph didn't care, he enjoyed messing with his brothers. He missed them, and the old days, so he was making up for that. Leo was aware of that. It didn't make this any better though.

With how this was going on, the whole Resistance was going to learn about this and know him as the 'chirping leader'.

Raph looked at him knowingly. Then he chirped.

Come on, like the old days?

He knew what he wanted to hear. Of course, he knew that Leo wouldn't be able to say no too. Not if he wanted to keep it as a secret. He didn't have a choice.

Damn turtle genetics.

" Fiiiiine ," He huffed. Then, after a second, he chirped.

I'm never ever doing that again.

Meanwhile, Raph was looking at him as if he was a tiny wet puppy. "Can't believe you still sound the same as when you were tiny."

"Shuuuuut up!" Leo buried his face in Raph's plastron.

Raph snorted, "Alright, alright." Then he gave him and Donnie a light squeeze. "Good night, Leo."

Leo didn't raise his head as he replied, "Good night, Raph."

A few hours later Mikey found the turtle pile, and gasped, saying how dare they have a sleepover without him.

More hours later, Casey found them, smiling at the scenery of four turtles. All sleeping and snoring peacefully. He had a feeling that Commander April would be sad to miss that, and wish there was a picture of them.

Casey considered joining them, but before he did anything he noticed the half-open eyes looking at him. His Sensei smiled and gestured to him to join them. Without a second thought, Casey did. And in a short while, he fell into a peaceful sleep.

First off, thank you! Love your writing, as always :3

A lot of my AU's are still in the works such as my comic AU's (Not the End AU, Sonic Boom AU, Jojo and Gang) and my fanfic AU's (Blinded By My Enemies and my Rottmnt AU). So I can't really talk about them.

But I can talk about some of the little headcanons I thought of after reading your Eclipse and Silver snippets because I love these two and the possible adventures/mishaps that could happen.

— Eclipse is the kind of kid to shout things across the room instead of walking over and answering a question. He's also the kind of kid to take TV logic as pure facts. Tails can't convince Eclipse that he's wrong but that hasn't stopped him from trying.

— Once, Silver and Eclipse saw Wade napping and decided to have a contest on how many gummi bears they could stuff into his mouth before he choked or woke up. Silver one the contest by using his telekinesis to force Wade's mouth open and successfully stuffing 43 gummies inside. Wade was unable to open and close his mouth for 2 weeks.

— Eclipse has that Invader Zim energy and I can imagine him sitting in the toilet and laughing crazily like this

— If Callie tells Eclipse he can't have another treat, Silver would pull him into the bathroom and give him the treat anyway.

— If there was a cartoon that Callie wouldn't let them watch, Eclipse and silver would watch it in the dark, then one of them would stand by the door and be a lookout. When Callie would come by, they would switch the channel. This is something I did with my siblings as a kid, haha.

— I want to have these two in Jojo and Gang. I have this idea where silver and Eclipse go to Maddie's house because Callie needs a break. There, they meet Jojo, and she convinces the two to go to an arcade by her house in San Francisco via Sonic's rings. There, the three play games and have a good time until Eclipse sees the prize section and a giant stuffed duck the size of Callie. He demands to the guy behind the counter to hand over the duck. But the guy tells Eclipse that in order for him get the duck, he needs to earn 10,000 tickets. But he needs to hurry because another kid wants the duck and he already has 7,000 tickets. And it's almost one hour until closing time. So it becomes a race to beat the other kid and get the duck first.

Well I have some ideas on introducing the AUs themselves!

I know for sure I’m going to write most of them out (as writing is my strong suit- I’m sadly still learning how to make a comic because I’m a perfectionist in everything I do.)

But I do want to try to make one a comic (mainly here on tumblr) the others will get an animatic introducing them when they release (maybe a few depending on how long and how many books are in a series)

So I want to give you guys a choice!

In a couple of days I will be releasing a poll with Art for all the AUs ideas I have. All of them will be pursued. But only one will be able to become a comic.

This is where the choice comes in. You guys can vote on them based on the blurb and Art I release! Whichever you guys want to see (if there is a tie I will do both though the dates for each release will be staggered).

(Question do you guys want just an art piece or should I do an animatic for each AU idea? One gets out faster the other will take a lot of time but it’ll give you an even better idea of the story at hand! You guys can decide! Because I’m cool with either one!)

Don’t worry though if your favorite isn’t the one that wins there will be a story (most likely with Art and an animatic) that will be published to my AO3 account!

Depending on what people prefer (Aka if people want to see an animatic for more details about the AUs so they have more info to what AU they want as a comic) this poll will either be release next week and go on for 3 weeks (so it has time to get votes) or within 2 months (This is a round about estimate I have about 9 AUs, and want my animatics to look nice so I’m giving myself about 2 to 3 months to do so though it could always be earlier) this poll will have about the same amount of time on it maybe a week more. Really depends on the kind of traction that happens!

When the Moon meets the Morning, Chapter 4 - Tales and Titles

Summary:  Raphael is going on missions with Captain Jupiter as he always does when he meets an orange-wearing turtle yokai who feels oddly familiar.

Word Count: 2390

Ratings/Warnings: General Audiences; some minor harrowing moments, but mostly fluff, emotional overload, emotional manipulation, self-deprecation

Notes: Finally getting some backstory in this chapter. I thought I should do more “show don’t tell”, but Mikey is the kind of person to just talk about his feelings. Raph still needs a bit of help in that regard. Big thanks to @undercoverwizardninjaturtle, @fraymotiif, and @frasierverse for helping me workshop this.

Woken up from his slumber, Raph hears a creak in the room that they've been given to rest in. It's an old tavern in the mountains, so creaks are natural, but his hunter senses allow him to differentiate the wind-rocking kind of creaks from the ones caused by someone’s movements - they’ve got a certain vibration to it. He lifts open a bleary eyelid just in time to see a green head duck out of the room and into the hallway. Raph waits a few beats before following.

A peek around the corner of the tavern building and he can see Mikey finishing up putting a saddle on Infinity and riding away with her. Raph quickly saddles up Buddy, apologizing for waking him up, and then chases after Mikey. He doesn't have to go too far though as he quickly spots Mikey perched on a rock overlooking the snow covered peaks of the mountains beyond. Infinity is plucking at a patch of somewhat still green grass below between patches of dusted on snow, and Raph leaves Buddy there with her. Infinity makes a friendly chirrup at the aurax and playfully nips at his shaggy hair. Buddy seems to not mind this and takes a few bites of grass himself. If Mikey has heard them at this point he doesn't acknowledge it. Raph climbs up to the rock Mikey is sitting on.

"Do you ever feel lonely, even with other people around?" Mikey asks. The tone is so unlike him. It's so lacking in any of the energy he has displayed since Raph met him. It is somber. Tired. And it fills Raph with sadness and worry for his friend. Raph knows better than to comment on that though.

He sits down next to Mikey and responds cautiously. "I'm... not sure I understand the question, Mike... Can you be alone while around other people?"

"Not alone. Lonely. Like, even if there are people around you, do you ever feel not with them?" He looks at Raph this time. His normally vibrant red-orange eyes look dull, and his brows are upturned in a sad but questioning position.

Raph looks down and tries to seriously consider the question. He doesn't want to potentially make Mikey feel worse by immediately dismissing it. Raph thinks about some of the missions he's been on with Captain Jupiter. Yeah, he's working for the Captain, but sometimes it doesn't feel like he's working with him. So Raph hums and nods. "Yeah, I think I get what you mean."

Mikey looks back up to the sky and explains, "I decided to be a messenger because I wanted to meet other people and make friends, but I'm not sure if it's working all the time. I try to make people happy, but sometimes it's... tiring keeping up with all that. People have so many more emotions than I thought... And sometimes... sometimes I don't know if it's my own feelings or theirs that I'm feeling. It's hard to find myself in all that... noise."

Raph blinks as he realizes something. "You're an empath!"

Mikey chuckles weakly and scratches at his chin while looking away. "Ah, did I not mention that? Sometimes I forget that people don't know."

Raph blinks again. "Is that why you came out here alone? To get away from all that?" he asks. Then he feels a sudden twinge of guilt. "Oh should- should I not be here? I can go, I'll go uh..." He stammers as he tries to get up but Mikey grabs hold of his cape. He holds on with both hands and squeezes it close, like a child with a safety blanket.

"No, no, you can stay. I mean I do usually like camping at night and not staying in towns cuz I learned that that's normally the best way to, er, clear my head? My heart? Uh, you get it." Raph looks away, then back at Mikey, unsure. "Really, Raph, it's okay. Please stay." He pulls Raph's cape tighter ever so slightly.

"O-okay..." Raph sits back down. He feels like he should move the conversation beyond the awkwardness. "So uh, you wanted to meet new people? Are there not a lot of folks where you're from?"

Mikey laughs a bit more genuinely this time. "Practically no one! There's mostly just animals in the Enchanted Forest! Me ‘n Todd would help out any animals that needed to be cared for and we made sure everyone was safe and happy."

That answered a few of Raph's questions. "Is Todd like your dad or something?"

Mikey shakes his head and huffs out a less genuine laugh. "No, he's a friend." His face lights up a bit then. "But he did raise me. He really is the nicest guy!"

"Huh, that's kinda weird that he raised you and is so nice, but he's not your dad."

"Well, is James Jupiter your dad?"

Raph freezes for a moment, before letting out a laugh that sounds more genuine than it is. Raph is vaguely aware now that Mikey can probably sense that. "I guess not. Even though he kind of raised me, too. Him and Red Fox." Raph's warm smile matches his emotions this time at the thought of the red panda yokai who's always been there as a kind of a big sis to him. Mikey smiles with him.

"Red Fox is really cool," Mikey says.

"Yeah, she is."

Mikey then looks at Raph curiously as if he wants to say something. Raph decides to be patient and wait for him to do so.

"Do you... mind it when I talk about you or him?" He squints his eyes as if trying to figure out the answer by just asking the question.

"I..." Raph isn't sure how to respond. "What do you mean?"

"Well, when I talked about you and Captain Jupiter before, it was... Weird... I guess? Like it was like you were happy and not happy at the same time. Should I stop? Like with the story in the tavern?" Mikey starts to fidget with his hands. "Cuz I thought you were really cool and I really did want to talk about you. But you seemed to feel sad about the situation, so I thought maybe telling the story and getting people to recognize you more would make you happier and--"

"Stop." Raph holds up a hand in front of Mikey's face, causing Mikey to clamp his mouth shut in a somewhat puckered position. Wide and confused eyes look up at the snapper.

Raph sighs. "First of all, it ain't your job to make me, or anyone happier, especially if it's making you feel like... This whole situation." He gestures at Mikey and the area around them. Mikey blinks like he's processing the information. Raph waits until Mikey looks back up at him again before he continues. "Second of all... Yeah, I think you're right... My feelings about the missions I'm on are... Complicated..." This time Mikey raises his brow in curiosity. "...But maybe that's my own problem to deal with... And I... actually think you telling the story is helping," he finishes, feeling like he's admitting a big secret, but he doesn't know what. Raph takes a breath. "And if you want, BUT ONLY if you want," he makes sure to grab Mikey's attention and emphasize that last point, "you can keep telling it."

After a second, a huge smile covers Mikey's face and he flaps his hands excitedly. "Really! Cuz it's a fun story! And Red Fox is there, too, and I helped and it'd be a real shame to let that kind of storytelling potential go to waste."

Raph can't help but smile. It's good to see Mikey brighten up again. Then Raph remembers something. "Oh by the way, I was thinking, you could use a hero name for that story…”

A creative spark appears in Mikey's eyes. "Oh? Well I'd be happy to workshop a name with you."

At this, Raph is the one to vibrate eagerly. "Actually, I've got a list of names I've been working on. I've been going with 'Red Angel of Preventing Harm' for a few missions now, but that doesn't seem to be sticking so..."

As the night wears on, Raph excitedly exchanges ideas and stories with his new friend before eventually ushering them both back to the tavern to get some rest before they have to continue their trek the next day.

"So we have 'Red Angel of Preventing Harm', 'Red Agent of Purity and Heroics', 'Reptile Against People-Hatred', 'Rad Amphibian Protecting Humanity,'" Mikey rattles off the list of names that he and Raph had come up with last night as the group of yokai continue their trek through the mountains. It's getting chillier as they go, and having a distraction is helpful for combating the cold.

"Turtles are reptiles, dear, not amphibians," Red Fox corrects them.

"I told you that you weren't an amphibian!" Mikey shoots at Raph with a know-it-all grin.

"Aw man, I thought that was a cool one!" Raph pouts.

"Maybe next time you'll listen to the animal expert!" Mikey brags, putting on a mock wounded expression and raising his bottom lip in an airy pout.

Raph chuckles and plays along. "How could I have not listened to you, oh wise turtle-who-is-not-an-amphibian?!”

The two break out into laughter, lightheartedly shoving each other with no real force; Raph in particular taking extra care to hold back in his pushes.

"But really boys, I told you before, that a hero name should be shorter, catchier, more memorable."

"I still think your name should have something to do with your cool eyes when you use your power!"

"You saw his moon eyes!" Red Fox looks at Mikey in surprise, then to Raph in concern. "You must have been really taxing your powers in that fire! You should have told me!"

Raph absently chews on his mask tails and says, "It wasn't so bad, and only at the end." He changes the topic back to Mikey's. "Mikey thought that 'Blood Moon Hunter' would be a cool name.”

“Isn’t ‘Blood Moon Hunter’ too long as well?” Red Fox says.

“Yeah, and I guess, I thought it was kinda too dark,” Raph says.

"Hmm, maybe Moon Hunter? Or Red Moon?" Mikey offers.

"Red is my favorite color," Raph says nodding in approval.

"Ooh! Or what about 'Nightwatcher?' Sounds like a good vigilante name to me!" Mikey says excitedly.

"It still doesn't sound like me though..." Raph says.

"What if you shorten the name you've been using? Instead of the full thing, why not "Red Angel'" Red Fox suggests.

Raph smiles at her. "That could work!"

Red Fox then moves over to Raph, lifting herself up by her tail so she's equal height with Raph and pinches his cheek with a teasing expression. "After all, you are quite the angel, my little Raphie!"

Raph brushes her hand away and groans, but with a smile playing on his lips. "Stop that!!!" Then he takes a heroic pose with his hands on his hips and states, "Besides, I AM a hero and I'll look after people like a guardian angel!"

Mikey claps happily and Red Fox joins him.

Raph's confident stance falters a bit as he scratches the back of his head and blushes. "Heh heh, thanks guys. This was fun."

Mikey then thinks for a second and turns to Raph. "Hey, can I still use the name "Blood Moon Hunter" for something else? There's someone else I know a lot of stories about, but he doesn't really have a name and I think that one still fits."

Raph shrugs and says, "Yeah, why not?"

For the next few stops that the trio made, Mikey would tell many different stories from his travels. The dude had loads! Both ones that he experienced and ones that others experienced. Raph thinks some of the stories Mikey heard secondhand were lies or at the very least included heavy exaggerations, but he never seemed to notice or act like it, and Raph didn't want to ruin his, or his listeners' fun. But Mikey always managed to bring up that one mission that Raph did and went with 'Red Angel' like discussed.

Then there were some stories that Mikey talked about that really seemed like tall tales. These were the ones that Mikey used the name "Blood Moon Hunter" for. They were always about a protective heroic figure coming to save him and other people when they needed him most. But it involved some really wild magic, like transfigurations and dimension warping; stuff that seemed to bend reality. Dreamlike. They felt strangely familiar to Raph, however. Maybe they were some folktales or stories he'd heard as a kid. They often played out like that, involving lots of symbolism and stuff. Despite how odd they were, Raph liked these ones the best. They felt familiar, like a bedtime story. And he could envision them really easily, almost as if he had been there. Raph might not have chosen the name for himself, but the Blood Moon Hunter stories that Mikey told were some of his best.

"Dude, you should write some of these stories in books or something! I'm sure folks would love to read them!" Raph says as they are nearing their final stop. The trek was a loop around the mountains, and they were setting up tents a few hours away from the last town. They could drop off their deliveries in the morning and get back to Bedu the day after.

Mikey blushes a bit and looks away shyly. "Aw I don't know. One of the great things about telling stories is specifically who I'm telling them to." Mikey looks up at Raph pointedly and there's almost an air of wistfulness that he catches in the smaller turtle's eyes.

Raph brushes off the feeling that Mikey seems to be trying to tell him something and replies, “Well, if you made books, then you could tell your stories to the entire Kingdom!”

Mikey hums a bit in response, but Raph isn’t sure if it’s a hum of affirmation or not. Mikey is a lot quieter for the rest of the evening. He perks up while cooking though, and rattles off a few more tales for his two companions, but goes to bed earlier than usual.

aww thanks! and ik im still forever a fan of April and Donnie’s dynamic but like when u think abt it i really feel like donnie and april exist at their absolute prime as best friends who are very integral parts of each other’s lives.

they get each other almost instantly and can easily just veg out together, watch movies, study.

And like Donnie is wise beyond his years and april needs that, but he’s also the dumbest smart guy ever and so he needs april’s practicality to offset maybe his more idealistic/altruistic mindsets.

In my au of 2012 neither of them have to try around each other. Donnie is very confident in April and it goes the same for April when it comes to donnie. very much like rottmnt.

That being said the relationship April has with Leo is clearly very familial and unique when the writers werent doing the “we’re ninja, ur not” type of thing.

I kinda decided in my au that April isnt as powerful, just an empath, and shes not a trained kunoichi, and after the events in my au, I definitely wanna expand that dynamic shown in the series where Leo can let himself be completely vulnerable around April in ways he’s never even considered being when he has to be a leader for his brothers and a dutiful student to his father.

April and Leo both give me extremely maternal/nurturing vibes and in my au April’s lost her mother and her father and Leo’s the type of person to really protect and i just, they give me feelings asfgghjk

like they’re both super stubborn and theyre both fighters and a lil competitive, they both strive to be taken seriously and want to look cool in each other’s eyes but wind up just being dorks lol. it’s what happens when u put the only mom friends of the group together!

so in opposed to the way 2012 set up Donnie as this over protective person in April’s life, i can see Leo and April being very protective of each other and while Dee’s her best friend in many ways, Leo plays a unique role bc April is someone he soley trusts to be vulnerable around, and theyre very similar in many ways <3

Hey, ya boi at it again adding stuff to my Netherworld!AU-ROTTMNT[part1] cause I can’t stop thinking about it now! You’re gonna wanna click that link before continuing. It’s the original post I made about this if you haven’t read it.

Added, Barry goes with him. Like, Leo activates a portal-Esque thing only used when opening up the Netherworld (is it obvious I’m still working out how to get him to the Netherworld yet?) and knocks Barry in with him.

Oh, maybe it was carved in the symbol on the floor and it took a blood activation. So like, Leo accidentally cut his foot on the carving, activating the portal. Maybe Barry is the closest to him and he accidentally pulls Barry down with him. It obviously closes before anyone can jump in to pull them out or whatever.

So, I guess they had Barry being the ref for whatever competition Leo dragged them into. Hueso had to help set up, stayed to watch because let’s face it. It’d be hilarious to watch. I also love the idea that Leo is kinda able to pull Hueso into whatever shenanigans he’s setting up.

So, as for the Netherworld here's how it works. A keep reading cause this gets long.

There are five levels. Lovely, Good, Bad, Worse, and Horrible. The names obviously speak for themselves I’d imagine but we’re gonna continue talking about them anyway.

Lovely: it’s mainly filled with people who wanted to do good for the world. Or had good intentions. Religion plays no part in if you get into this level or not. It’s very high quality for those who enter. Fancy housing and plenty of activities and events to keep you busy if you’d like. You have a chance to meet up with old friends and a chance to create new ones. This one is the ideal level to be in. Each home is tailor-created for the arrival living in it. On this level only are you given a chance to reincarnate. At any time you’d like. You can earn your way to this level if you're already dead, but it’s no easy feat. Not many people exist on this level.

Good: It's for people who changed directions for the better in life. Or had lost their way at some point before coming back. Most people here are friendly, but have bad habits. You're probably more likely to end up here than anywhere else. As long as you hadn’t murdered, raped, or tortured someone within your lifetime you should be good. This has a lot of people in it, most taking a “Ten-Step” program to enter the Lovely level and get a chance to reincarnate. Homing here isn’t all too bad, not as personally tailored when you first arrive but otherwise, it’s similar to Lovely housing level. The most crowded level, believe it or not. 

Bad: Despite its namesake. It's mainly for people who ended their lives before they should’ve. Or for people who murdered, or tortured someone as a part of their job, but had no true joy in it. A lot of the people here are either war-scarred veterans or teenagers who couldn’t take life anymore. Lot’s of therapy buildings for these people. They live in more apartments like housing, mainly because it helps bring togetherness for them. Everyone at this level is trying to upgrade to the Good level. Not too keen on getting reincarnated, but to have a better place of eternal rest. Many artistic forms of activities and events are typically just group therapy sessions. It’s actually not really bad at all, more of just a “This child needs some therapy.” type of place.

Worse: Think of people like who did bad things because they thought it was right. People who aren’t the worst of the worst, but they def ain’t anywhere near being the best of the best either. Very stubborn and don’t often try to move up levels out of pride or whatever. Have apartment housing but no activities. Kinda like being put in a time out, nothing to do but think about your actions. Think, non-remorseful Bounty Hunters or Mafia Kings/Queens type of people. Something similar to them anyways. Not necessarily personal kills, or not the ones to technically get their hands dirty. 

Horrible: Now this, this is bad. Everyone who actively choose to be racists, homophobic, sexist, trans-phobic, any form of discrimination without any remorse or any form of redemption. People who murdered, tortured, raped for enjoyment of it with no remorse to their actions. People, who despite living in the worst level, still don’t want to do anything to move to the higher levels. But do complain about not “being able” to. They don’t get the luxury of housing, or anything really. They are still given a chance to go to higher levels, but no one on this level does. It has quite a few residents since people here never leave, it’s mainly built up from eons and eons. A lot of people here never sleep, ever, because if they do, they get nightmares so bad that if they were living, it would kill them. Sleep isn’t a necessity, but it helps pass the time. They are given nothing, only a chance to reflect up everything they’ve ever done. No one here is a good person, they are the worst of the worst.

No one in the Netherworld needs to eat or sleep. But most do out of an unbreakable habit. Both humans and Yokai reside in the same Netherworld. Humans often before they truly enter the Netherworld, are sat down and given the information about Yokai. Their existence, history, what they are, etc. So humans don’t freak out upon entering their level to see Yokai just chillin’. 

Kinda wanna say no Yokai reside on the Horrible level. But at the same time, there are some Yokai on the Horrible level, and it's not a pleasant experience for them especially. I mean, you know why.

Leo & Barry end up in the Bad level, mainly because it wouldn’t really be an adventure if they entered one of the other ones. At least, not to me. So, Bad level for them. 

Can’t decide if I want OC to be a war-torn veteran who just wants to reside peacefully in the Netherworld. Or if OC is a young teenager who wants to take a second chance in life to be better than they were. It's tough because both are so good.

Also, because it's no fun without drama. Since Leo and Barry are in the Netherworld someone can take their place above and become living again. Maybe it's just everyone who isn't in Lovely or Good trying to get out and take Leo and Barry's places. With the exception of OC of course.

Cause, sure getting to live again is great and all. But if its to take someone else’s place when they’ve still got so much life left to live. Then maybe it’s not really worth it. Or OC is just trying to help them to only to get closer to switching places with one of them. Only to become emotionally attached to these two fools and actually want them to live a full life.

A/N: kiNd of supremely old with au stuff i barely remember. but since i'm in a writing rut, i decided to deep dive through my drafts for anything that might be finished or close to it. the first prompt i ever got was from an anon for an oblivious reader being crushed on by the turtle bros. but, i accidentally deleted their ask because tumblr mobile is stupid. hope you guys enjoy and that there aren't very many errors in this since i really didn't feel like editing it

Donatello:

- god; how haven't you noticed by now how hard he was trying here. you couldn't be this dense when you're able to understand more of his geek speak than most did and actually sit through it.

- he liked you- he figured that out relatively quickly and while he was at odds with these new, inexplicable feelings at first, he's settled with them and the fact he just had to tip you off about them.

- keeping something so important from you, something that could make or break your relationship, he just couldn't do it anymore. it created too much tension in him.

- he decided that two months after all those feelings got to sizzle under the surface, making him more inverted than what was even normal for him. he knew you could probably tell, but not if you could tell about the crush itself.

- but heck, there were just no openings for him to spit it out. even when he timed it just right, or got you in a quiet moment while you were talking. no amount of thoughtful pauses and hint dropping could get you to see what he was trying to communicate. he didn't even know how to say what he wanted, but he was sure you had to have gotten a clue at some point.

- but you haven't. and sitting here, twisting your hair into a plait (he and his brothers liked fiddling with your hair), he could barely contain his frustration at how you just missed another hint. only distracted by each calculated pass of your soft hair as he braided.

- he sighed. that was enough trying for tonight. he was tired anyway and wanted to focus on enjoying your company more than trying to get you to see he harbored so many raw feelings for you.

- he could practically feel steam coming out from his pours. but then you laughed at something he grumbled out and his emotions did a headspin, making him feel a sudden wave of turn her around and kiss the understanding into her.

- he suppressed it all with a refined ease he’s perfected over the years with all foreign or unwanted emotions he didn’t like dealing with at any given time.

- crushes on your close friend sucked.

Leonardo:

- was it hot in here, or was it just you?

- how many times he’s said that was enough to make him grimace. but even now, you still dodged the flirt like it wasn’t even one, and playfully and painful obliviously shot one back at him. no matter how many cheesy pickup lines he threw at you, you were just not getting it.

- you thought he was all jokes, and sure, in the beginning he was, but now leo knew his feelings were no laughing matter.

- he wanted to admit them all to you, tell every bit of how you made him feel and maybe even grab you and kiss it into you if he was bold enough in that moment, but god if he wasn’t terrified of what that could mean.

- rejection, disgust, the loss of one of his closest friends and confidants. the loss of someone who genuinely liked hanging out with him and finding new, hidden nooks in the city they loved.

- he couldn’t do that to himself or you when he thought about how much he meant to you as well.

- but that thought also drove him crazy with how you might just have powerful feelings for him too beyond friendship. so that’s why he was trying to ease into this whole confession things with something you both liked, but the make you comfortable part was working too well.

- the meaning of every line flew over your head and leo was getting worked up over it.

- but the way you laughed and smirked at him in that way when there was an inside joke only the two of you knew about was enough for him to say fuck it and give up for today.

- you were worth it.

- but heck if he still didn’t crave knowing what kissing you might be like.

Michelangelo:

- you’re his first ever crush and also one of his only best friends, so he really doesn’t want to blow it by telling you you’re his first ever crush.

- yes he still loves doing all the things you usually do together, but he loves it even more because he kind of loves you too now. in more than just the platonic way. he wanted more meaning behind those pecks you give him and his brothers- he wants special kisses that are just for him.

- and he wants you to be his first kiss; he can imagine what it will be, full of all the sweetness and warmth he’s felt for you and kept bottled up.

- but he couldn’t just do that. he didn’t want to scare you off or make you feel uncomfortable. he loved you and cared about, but first and foremost, you were his best friend. and he loved you in that sense more.

- he would never do anything to make you feel bad.

- he was helping you relax after a long and arduous school day. you really needed the pick me up and he was blasting a song you both loved, badly singing the lyrics with you.

- you were both so off key and awful, but you were smiling and mike used all the heart he had to make the lines in the song that resonated with his feelings stand out so that maybe you would notice.

- but you didn’t, and you just sang and danced along with him like usual, not catching the look in his eyes or anything.

- he was disheartened, but then he saw how lifted your spirits were compared to when you set foot in the lair.

- you were happy and mike was helping to make that happen. so, maybe it wasn’t so bad that you couldn’t tell how much more he meant while singing this time.

- but, having you say that you love him too might be just too much for him handle if it happened anyway

Raphael:

- gosh, he didn’t want to sound mean but, did you not know a hint when it was smacking you dead between the eyes?

- raph knew it would be hard to tell you what he’s been feeling as of late, and he knew it might turn out to have good results, but he also knew he couldn’t keep his feelings to himself forever. it wasn’t healthy and it was doing a number on him inside.

- it was getting harder to just be near you or let you ride on his shell anymore. but he couldn’t just turn you down for something that was his problem alone. you didn’t know what was going on.

- that was why he was intent on telling you it. but, you weren’t making it easy.

- you were sitting on his shoulder, resting your jaw on a palm and talking about your job at the animal center that’s been pretty long term now. he brought up how much he loved the cat-dog that was now the lair’s mascot and you shake your head with a smile, no bringing that up now.

- you could still remember how hard you had to lie to your supervisor about what happened to the pup and kitten that mysteriously went missing one night.

- raph was nervous as he waited for an opportunity where he might be able to interject and say what was really on his mind, but no way was he going to be able to do that.

- you were busy reminiscing with no foreseeable end in sight, and he was supposed to be in on the conversation, bringing up moments from the past to beguile too. 

- besides,

-  he didn’t want his confession to guilt trip you or make you feel obligated to say you returned his feelings. he especially didn’t want to make you feel as if it wasn’t fair that you couldn’t love him in that way.

- so, he would need more time to make his move and think out every little bit of what he was going to say when he did.

BonuS:

You:

you laugh off the admittance the turtle's been working on but then noticed the obliterated look on their face, "Oh you were...serious? I-I'm sorry, I..." you blink, suddenly flustered too and touch the side of your flush neck.

"I wasn't expecting that. I'm just me. Not all that much. You know?" your eyes dart away.

And the turtle says, no, he doesn't because he recklessly thought so much about you and how wonderful you are- he can't even say it all in words. Not that he'd know how to.

"Geez. Um, well," your eyes glimmer, "I like you too."

You're shaken again as the turtle is overwhelmed by their feelings and nearly drops.

You have to stop them from falling and they’re blushing a bright shade of green as you hold them steady by the shoulders.

"This uh, this isn't gonna happen often, is it?"
