#i do not have the motivation even if this site would also benefit from actually thinking abt her as a character for once

Note
please go in length about your rodya interpretations, there are never enough rodya essays, limbus tumblr desperately needs more rodya content outside of putting her w gregor or sinclair
Literally thats the thing right people never care about her unless its to ship her or to reduce her to her relationships with men (see: sonya gregor and sinclair. And im a diehard rodigor fan so). And constantly gets her character dumbed down to either bimbo or "girlboss" because people cant fathom 3 dimensional well written women and ever care abt them and also are obsessed with watering down every character to fit them into their ship tropes. Ppl only care abt her as an accessory to other characters, not her own person and its even more ironic when u think about her for one minute and realize its exactly what her canto is all about. Hiding behind that upbeat persona so she can be as emotionally distant as she desires and hides the fact shes afraid of herself. And thats the entire thing right she literally agrees with sonya when he says it but all she wants really is to be important she wants to be needed and relevant. And thats exactly what fans are taking from her because they either misinterpret her so badly or straight up dont care abt women ever. And it sucks so bad bc projmoon is so good at writing women and still somehow people just entirely fuck up what they spent so much care into writing. Its always been bad but ill be real with you its been even worse since lcb was dumped in with other gacha games and the gacha fan crowd is. Well. You know . But thats just my onions

have you ever asked yourself: “hey, wouldn’t it be nice if i could quickly browse all the special warm-up jerseys that nhl teams have worn in collaboration with local or independent artists?” the answer to this is probably no so Don’t answer that, but... if you were ever to randomly stumble upon this train of thought, you would now be able to do so @ nhlwarmups.github.io!
i created this website out of personal interest and an enduring love for beautiful jersey designs; i love art in all forms and really just love looking at it, so in my inability to find an existing project that fulfilled my desire of browsing through all these jerseys in a centralized location i somehow... singlehandedly motivated myself to take on the task? LOL but otherwise i also wanted to make this database because... well, i feel like even though a lot of league-wide inclusion initiatives ultimately rely on/benefit teams’ commercial interests, and even though it feels like there’s recently been an overabundance of dialogue re: player action or inaction, theme-night dissent and sociocultural pressure, the culminating breaking points of bisected fandom, etc.... art still kind of matters! to me, to the designers, to real people who attend games and who coordinate events and who run media platforms and do what small facets of work can still be done.
Anyway. this site itself is sort of meaningless and doesn’t really accomplish much at the end of the day, but i guess i wanted to (try to) refocus the concept of a “warm-up jersey” back on the people who actually create them, and ultimately to reattach the positive components of theme nights in a way that felt slightly tangible and concrete. the site itself isn’t very complicated so hopefully it’s fairly self-navigable, but some quick notes on content and functionality:
as of april 4, 2023, this database displays 82 special jerseys from 21 different nhl teams
i’ve currently only included special jerseys designed with a highlighted artist in my set. that is, while some teams have worn different pride/heritage night/etc. jerseys with either stock-template designs or artwork otherwise created in-house, those jerseys weren’t logged unless an artist was specifically named. for example, the penguins pride jersey from 2022-23 isn’t included but the ducks lunar new year jersey (which was created by a ducks graphic designer) from 2022-23 is.
there are different sidebar options to help quickly search for a specific type or style of jersey: you can sort by team/event/date and filter by category/team/season/base color
Tumblr media
lastly, clicking on one of the preview cards will bring you to a details page with additional information on each jersey, including social media links to support the artist, notes on charity benefits, an image gallery of the design, and embedded tweets highlighting the artist when available:
Tumblr media
that’s basically it! this was a labor of love so i tried my best to not make the entire experience a functional piece of garbage, but at the end of the day i am Just Some Guy and i never know what i’m doing so please lmk if anything is super wonky. and also if your team has a past design that fits the criteria but i missed it :)

Warnings: Betrayal, weapon usage/violence, angst galore. Canon timeline doesn't exist to make this fic work.
Author’s Note: Okay, hear me out before this one gets started. I'm sorry (That's a lie) for whatever pain comes from this one. But I also couldn't help myself and added a second prompt because it JUST FIT PERFECTLY and I couldn't help myself. I added prompt 10. You started this. The least you can do is finish ripping my heart out by telling the damn truth. The beginning of this fic is a bit misleading. Do not jump to conclusions! Also, I want to say that I'm still getting used to writing for Bucky, so any constructive critiques are welcome. Please note that Make it Angsty Requests are now closed. I'm posting them after the fact cause I fail at posting things in a timely manner. The divider is by the lovely @firefly-graphics ♥
I do not and will not ever give permission for my fics to be copied and posted on other sites. Don’t do it. Don’t be that person that ruins it for me and everyone else.
Feedback gives me life and motivation for future things. While likes are appreciated, reblogs are gold. Seriously, if you enjoyed this in the slightest, please reblog ♥

It was almost a typical Stark party. However for once it wasn’t for his benefit of any kind. For the first time since Y/N had joined the avengers, they were celebrating her birthday. While it may seem odd that they hadn’t done so before, it was because Y/N didn’t want them to fuss over her. For years they had attempted to throw her a party, but she never wanted it and reminded them every time they had tried.
At first she refused to give up the date when she first joined to allow them to throw some kind of celebration. After FRIDAY gave up the day, Y/N always found out about the details that allowed her to evade every get together or surprise party they attempted. They’d throw the party and she’d never show until she was sure they had given up. Or she’d take on missions to avoid the compound altogether.
In truth, Y/N felt as though she didn’t deserve the party they had been so desperately wanting her to be a part of. She couldn’t ever recall a time where her birth had been celebrated. There weren’t an increasing amount of candles to blow out. After years of having nothing, it had become just another day to her. And now that several people wanted to celebrate her birthday, it was overwhelming.
That was until a few months ago that Bucky had been volunteered to convince his girlfriend to actually have a birthday party. If anyone could convince her, it’d be Bucky. He couldn’t get out of the small parties that Steve insisted they have for him. Unlike Y/N, he couldn’t escape his best friends tatics from it.
And after weeks of convincing and reassuring Y/N that it wasn’t the worst thing in the world to have a party thrown for her, she finally agreed to it. It also didn’t hurt to add in that any time he was forced to attend a party for his, she was a willing participant that helped him enjoy the night. For once he wanted to be able to see her enjoy herself on her birthday.
That was how she currently found herself surrounded by plenty of people that she knew and didn’t know. Many of them had been staff within the compound that she hardly ever talked to. If it hadn’t been for the conversations and words of encouragement from Bucky and her teammates, she would have bolted for the door hours ago.
But now, she was beginning to feel ansty and the one person that promised he’d by her side the majority of the night was nowhere to be seen. Even as her eyes scanned the crowd she couldn’t find Bucky. Usually she could pick him out rather easy in any room, but right now she couldn’t.
As her eyes finished her scan, she found Steve and Sam talking across the way causing her to start making her way over. As she had, her eyes kept looking for Bucky the whole time hoping he’d pop up.
“Have you seen Bucky?” She asked as she came up to them.
They had stopped mid conversation the moment she spoke. They both hadn’t missed the anxiousness that was visible in her eyes. While they hardly ever seen that side of her before, they both knew that this was a first for her. They expected there to be some hesitancy on her part.
Steve tilted his head towards the hall at the other end of the room. “He got a phone call a few minutes ago. Couldn’t hear over the music.”
She didn’t blame him. The music levels were just loud enough that some people had to speak louder just to be heard. Any louder and she was sure people would have to be mouth to ear in this place to hear anything.
“Thanks.” She said giving him a smile.
“We’re going to be bringing out the cake soon.” Sam added. “Don’t take too long.”
Y/N rolled her eyes and shook her head. “No promises!” She said before she turned and started making her way towards the hall.
When she reached the hall, her eyes began scanning each room as she walked past them, looking for Bucky. She soon realized that only one room, at the very end of the hall had been closed. A small smile pulled at her lips once more as she made her way over to that door.
Her thoughts instantly going to the playful things she could say to him as she walked into the door. She could joke about how he was hiding away when he promised he’d be there. She could also joke that when his birthday came around, she would be able to hide away. The many things she could say just to help ease the anxiety that was bubbling within her.
“Hey Buck-” As she opened the door, she froze. The playful question about him hiding away never got the chance to pass her lips.
Bucky stood at the opposite side of the desk with a file opened and papers scattered. Several pictures were mixed in with the pages that had been on the desk. A document was in his hand as if he had been reading it moments before she had opened the door.
Curiosity should have filled her with what he currently had his eyes trained on, but it wasn’t. Fear filled her as she recognized the contents of the file he had been going through. All of the information in that file she had tried her hardest to destroy. The life she no longer wished to be a part of was contained within that file. The lies to her life laid out on display.
Taking a shuddering breath, she stepped into the room and closed the door. She kept her back to the door, with her hands on the handle. The simple need to grasp onto it just in case she needed to make a quick getaway.
“I need you to let me explain.”
The instant the words left her mouth, Bucky’s eyes snapped to her. He had heard her when she opened the door, but he couldn’t bring himself to look at her. Not when his eyes were still scanning the document in his hand, taking in the information.
His heart had been in his stomach from the moment he opened the file. Before he opened it, he felt as though he shouldn’t and trust Y/N. He wanted to believe that there was no reason to worry and whatever was in that file was going to prove his recent suspicions to be wrong. But they weren’t.
Being free from the memories tied to it makes it easier to get the job done.
A simple phrase she had said weeks ago had stuck with him. A siren going off within his mind that felt wrong. For someone such as Y/N, who joined from SHIELD, shouldn’t know what it’s like to have her memories wiped. Then again, he had no idea what SHIELD was capable of doing behind closed doors.
It didn’t stop Bucky from wanting the answers himself without dropping a thousand questions on Y/N. He knew the sudden interest in her past would raise questions. While Bucky knew as much about Y/N as she was willing to give, she still had walls up and Bucky respected some of those walls. Just as she had with some of his. But now he had the answers directly in front of him and he hated himself for not seeing it sooner.
“Who are you?” His voice was loud enough for her to hear. His voice hardly held any emotion even though his expressions conveyed everything he was feeling.
“You know who I am.” She responded as she lifted her head up a little higher. Almost as if she was bracing herself for the blow.
“Obviously I don’t.” His right hand gestured towards the desk. “Your background was pretty extensive, I’m amazed that you made it through Tony’s security checks with how much I have sitting on this desk.”
“It’s not that hard for Hydra to create a false identity when you don’t exactly have one.” Much like the calmness in his voice, her’s matched. On the inside, her heart was racing. She was sure her eyes had displayed the fear and guilt she was currently feeling. Her eyes took in every bit of him. Studying him and keeping herself ready for anything she hoped wouldn’t happen. “The person in that file is dead. Has been for several years.”
A scoff passed his lips as he shook his head. “If she’s dead, who’s birthday are they currenty out there celebrating?”
They. He hadn’t included himself in that scentence and Y/N had picked up on that right away. There was a change from earlier this morning when he took her out to breakfast and left a gift on her bed side table to wake up to. She assumed that the time he took to celebrate her birthday ended when he got his phone call, no doubt signalling the arrival of the file.
“Still mine.” There was the slightest nod of her head as she tried to enure his questions were answered as quickly as she could without them seeming rehearsed, even though there were times where she practiced for the day she would tell him. “They-” She stopped herself. There was no use in avoiding the truth. “Hydra believed that if I had no ties to my former life, I would do as they pleased. But when creating a backstory, they used my real birth date. It was only after I left that I found out it was the right date. Everything else was different.”
His eyes took her in as she finished. He could see how she was almost in a defensive stance. Her arm behind her back no doubt holding the handle on the door. The defensive reflex reminding him of many times he had seen other soldiers hold that stance in a room that he was in. An easier way to leave when the opportunity presented itself.
He wondered how many other times there was something that had seemed so familiar to him that had gone unnoticed. For every memory that had been returned to him, he never knew who she was when they first met. He would have known if she was mixed in the sea of memories, but she never encountered him while he was under Hydra’s hold.
But now he kew that brief moment of a gut feeling when he met her for the first time was an actual warning he should have listened to. But it had been Steve, and occasionally Sam, that reminded him that once she opened up, she wasn't as guarded and neither of them had felt off about her presence. It turns out they had been wrong.
"I get it." She said a moment later when he hadn’t said anything. “This is a bunch of new information that you're taking in. Maybe you need a little more time to process." Her hand on the knob slowly turned. This would be the only chance she'd have to leave the room. While she didn't fear him, she was afraid of the emotions that would come from this conversation. She knew, without a doubt, he'd hate her afterwards. "I'll head back to the party and we can talk later. Just please don't say anything to anyone. At least not yet."
She had barely turned around and opened the door a little more than an inch or two before the swish of a blade flying through the air was loud in her ears. It was followed by a thud that caused the door to slam shut just as quickly as she had opened it. She looked up to see the knife barely above her head.
"We are far from finished."
When she turned back around, she found him standing within arms reach. His eyes were narrowed at her. Her heart aches that he had been looking at her like he was instead of the caring looks she had been used to. In the span of a an hour, she had become the enemy in his eyes.
Bucky could have aimed anywhere. He had half a mind to aim for the space right beside her hand or even right by her cheek. Something close enough to knick the skin as a warning not to leave. But the part of him that cared way too deeply for her couldn't bring himself to bring the knife that close to her.
He couldn't deny what was in front of him. The way she had been so calm about this had further proved the evidence. It was almost as if he could no longer recognize who she was. That the woman he loved was completely different from the woman who's life had been spread out on the desk behind him. Even the words leaving her lips that now came out so easily were foreign to him in the way their conversations usually went. Hydra was never spoken of and now it had been mentioned more times in the last few minutes than they had been in the few years they had known each other.
“How long?” He asked a moment later.
“Since before we met.” The words came out easily.
"What was your mission?"
Her eyes scanned his face for a moment. Just enough for her to collect her thoughts. She could lie, but she knew that would get her nowhere. She could tell the truth, and they could possibly find themselves at each other's throats.
“To infiltrate the Avengers." His features hadn't changed as she continued. "I was to gain their trust while I observed and reported anything of interest. When the time came I was to take down my target.”
“Who is your target?” He asked with a raised brow.
“Doesn’t matter, I couldn’t go through with it.” She said with a shake of her head.
That detail she couldn’t bring herself to give up. It caused her heart to ache just thinking about it. She never voiced it before and she didn’t want this to be the first time she did. Any other time she could redirect the questions onto something else. But this wasn’t just a casual conversation to be had anymore. This was Bucky interrogating her.
There weren't any playful conversations or plans for the rest of the night. There wasn’t the comfortable stance between them. Instead they both were on edge and the tension in the air thick.
“It does matter. You came here under false pretenses. Lied to everyone who believed to be your friend. I think it’s only fair that you own up to who it was.” It was no longer about knowing her past and what she had done. It was now about if she still posed as threat while still here within the walls of the compound.
“They’re still breathing.” She noted. “I almost went through with it. But I learned I couldn’t bring myself to do it. So it doesn’t matter who it was, Bucky. All that matters is that I turned my back on Hydra and never looked back.”
“And what’s to stop you from changing your mind and going after them?” He asked taking a step closer to her.
“What stopped you from killing Steve?” With his step forward, she began remembering the layout of the room. The details she could use to her advantage from being pinned against the door as she now was.
“Why can’t you just answer the question?” He shot back as he crossed his arms over his chest.
“Because it isn’t necessary!” Her voice raised slightly. The emotions within her growing and she hated the fact that her eyes threatened to tear up. “I left. I made the choice to be better. You got to do the same. Why is it any different with me?”
“Because I don’t know how I can trust you without knowing all of the facts.” He took in a deep breath trying to calm himself. “I let you in. How do I know that everything you’ve told me isn’t a lie? I don’t know how much of it was you actually being you or if you were doing your job and just using me to get close to-”
He stopped himself when something clicked in his mind. The missing pieces of the puzzle being found as he watched the tears well up in her eyes and the words he had just said brought everything into perspective. He looked up at the knife that was still embedded in the door above her head before looking back at her.
“I’m only going to ask this one more time.” There was hurt in his voice and every part of him hoped that the answer he now had in his mind was wrong. “Who is your mission?”
The moment Bucky had cut himself off, Y/N knew he had pieced it together. It was written in his face and in his eyes. It had made her heart ache as she watched him piece it together. She knew this is where he would hate her. Even if she tried and denied it again, he still knew and there was nothing that could change that.
“You.” That was when the first tear fell from her eyes. His hands dropped to his sides as he took a step back. When she reached out to him, he hit her hand away. “Bucky-”
“Everything was a lie, wasn’t it?” His head shook as he looked at her. His heart ached in a way he believed he never felt before. He had felt and done many things during his lifetime. He regretted many things and several of them he wished on everything he could take them back. But the one thing he never regretted was meeting and falling in love with Y/N. At least that was until now. “You are pretty good at your job sweetheart, I’ll give you that.”
“I have lied about plenty of things, but my feelings for you weren’t one of them.” Y/N needed him to understand that.
Her confessions of care and love towards him hadn’t been faked at any point. Her annoyance in the beginning had been clear. It took months for them to warm up to each other, let alone work well together on missions. And while she was the double agent, it was only until her feelings had shifted, right along with Bucky’s, that she realized she couldn’t go through with her mission.
“Don’t feed me that bullshit.” His eyes narrowed at her. “Everything I have known about you has been a lie. From the moment I met you I should have listened to my gut.” He shook his head before running his fleshed hand down his face. “You started this by taking the mission.” He said as he looked into her eyes. “The least you can do is finish ripping my heart out by telling the damn truth for once.”
Her eyes widdened slightly as she took in his words. She knew that this was a justified reaction from him. But it didn’t hurt anyless to hear that she was breaking him. The first relationship he had away from Hydra and she was tormenting him by not telling him the truth.
She looked elsewhere for a moment as she tried to get her emotions in check. After all those years of training, she found them to be useless in that moment. Tears were falling freely with no intent to stop. They were silent and didn’t affect her in the way it would to someone else.
“You want the whole truth? Okay. Here it is.” If it would help in some way to either ease things between them or get them going for the inevitable reveal to the others, she’d give it all up. “Hydra caught wind that you were having your programming removed.” His eyes widened for a moment as he took in her words. “For the right price, there are no secrets, even in closed borders, you know that. Agents were trying to find their place after the fall of SHIELD. It was easy to have a background created for me and I was tossed in with the potentials. It didn’t take long for my skillsets to be noticed and I was brought in rather quickly. I was to observe and report what was necessary to my superiors. And when the time came I was to assess if the Winter Soldier could be returned and utilized or put down.
"I played my role and mingled with everyone. I reported back when necessary. Much like you with the hesitancy towards me, I had the same with you. Yes, I feared that you’d figure it out early on and kill me. I expected it from the moment you returned from Wakanda. I stayed on edge waiting for the moment that you would figure it out. But you never did. And when you managaged to actually hold a conversation with me for longer than two seconds, I knew I had my way in.” She watched as a glare formed on his face and when he opened his mouth to speak she quickly continued.
“Things started to change between us. I fought it because I was supposed to be doing my job and not falling for you. Your death was supposed to come that first mission alone together after it was agreed by my superiors that you were to be put down. You were so eager to get the mission done that you never realized you had a gun pointed at your head several times.” She wiped the tears from her cheek. Bucky had shook his head at her words. No doubt hating himself for not realizing it then. “Nor did you see how I struggled to get myself to pull the trigger. Because every time you looked back to check on me, all I could see was Bucky and not the asset that I was meant to put down. All I could see was the freedom and relationship that I craved and I couldn’t do it.
“The moment we got back from that mission I left for a few days. I said it was because I had a family emergency that I needed to take care of. That was the last lie I told you. Because I couldn’t tell you that I was going to either get myself killed or I was going to take down the base that not even the Avengers knew about.”
The moment she mentioned it, Bucky remembered that night. He remembered, for the first time in a long while, being anxious waiting for Y/N to return home from checking in on her family. The night she had left he was going to tell her how he felt. The feelings that had been developing for her, he needed her to know.
Bucky had been working up the courage the week leading up to the mission. But he couldn’t get himself to. And when they got back, he was on his way to her room to tell her when he caught word she had left rather quickly. The only thing anyone knew was something was going on with her family. So Bucky waited a little longer to tell her.
After almost a week and a half, Bucky woke up in the middle of the night to find Y/N sitting in the doorway to his room. At first he believed he was dreaming until he got up and walked over to her. He had expected to see some kind of smirk on her lips or some kind of joke about her being a lurker. Instead he found her face and neck covered in yellowing bruises.
“What happened?” He asked, quickly moving to sit beside her and take in the damage.
“Some times checking in on your family means getting your ass beat in the process.” It was a horrible joke but it had made her chuckle slightly as tears formed in her eyes.
He brought his hand under her chin and lifted it slightly, angling her face up and to the side to get a better look at her neck. “Should have called in for some back up. I gladly would have stepped in.” They chuckled and she shook her head.
“I assure you, they wouldn’t be able to touch anyone again.”
Her words caused an eyebrow to raise on his face. “Am I being sworn to secrecy with that statement? Cause I can-”
“You wont have to worry about anything.” She promised. “I’m free from anything incriminating.” She looked down the hall towards where her room was. “I’ve only been back a few minutes, I didn’t want to wake you. You actually looked like you were sleeping peacefully tonight. I just needed-”
“It’s okay.” He assured her. He stayed with her in that spot for a little longer before she excused herself to go to her room.
The next morning they received the news that a hydra base had been taken down with no idea who had done it. No mission had been scheduled. They didn't even know that particular base had existed. Yet it had been up in flames without anyone alive to explain what was going on. Local authorities had been the ones to find the base in shambles and it took some time to reach the compound.
“I should kill you right now.” His voice had been calm. The words had even shocked him as they left his lips. Maybe it was the mix of emotions, but there was no stopping them once they left his lips.
Without any hesitation, Y/N shot her hand up above her head, grabbing the hilt of the knife, pulling it free. The moment she had it free, Bucky had his vibranium hand wrapped around hers. He thought she had been attempting to use it against him, and as he tried to keep it from meeting him, she easily brought it closer to her, letting the tip of the blade meet her shirt right above her heart.
“Do it, you’d be doing both of us a favor.” For a brief moment she saw the way his eyes softened at her words and actions before they hardened just as they had moments before. “I never intended to fall for you. But you made me care and I couldn’t stop myself. You want to kill me, go ahead. I deserve it for what I’ve done.”
Bucky pulled the blade away from her and brought it down to his side. “You should have told me the truth sooner. When you knew you couldn’t go through with it. Or even that night. We sat up for hours, you should have told me. I would have let you go then instead of having to find out this way when you slipped up.”
“I know, and I understand that I should have. But you-”
“Leave.” He couldn’t let her finish what she was about to say. While he didn’t know it word for word, he knew she would say along the lines of ‘now he knew and they could start over, now he knew and once she told the others they could make their way past this’. Part of him wanted to let her be that selfish. But the other part that now saw her only as someone that used him, he couldn’t bring himself to allow her any of it.
She nodded her head. “Okay, I’ll give you some space.”
“I meant leave here completely. I don’t want to see you around here anymore. In fact I expect you to be somewhere across the world by morning.”
“What? No-”
“If you don’t leave, I will gladly walk out of this room and alert everyone that Hydra is within their walls.” He would quickly do it if it allowed him the peace of her being gone. He couldn’t stand to look at her right now.
"I am not Hydra anymore!" She was glad the music had been blasting down the hall or else she would have given herself away with how loudly she had yelled it at him. “If you’re going to take anything away from this, please let that be it.”
“I can’t.” He shook his head. He moved towards the door to leave. As his flesh hand grabbed the door knob, she placed hers on top of his, causing him to look over at her with a glare.
I know you don’t owe me any favors, and I definitely don’t deserve this, but please. Just pretend we’re okay, just for tonight, just for show.” She watched as his eyes hadn’t changed as he kept them on her. “Please. The others don’t need to hear about this right now and I promise that I’ll be gone by sunrise.”
He stood there for a moment, taking her in one last time. For the briefest of moments, this was his Y/N that he was looking at. The woman he had loved with everythin he could give. She wasn’t the enemy that had been standing in front of him. Nor was she the woman that broke his heart several times within their conversation tonight.
The pain in his chest shattered the illusion a moment later and all he could see and feel was the betrayal from her. The lies he had heard over the years on a loop in his mind as he looked into her eyes. He couldn’t give her the whole night she was asking for. He didn’t even know if he’d be capable of giving her any time longer than him walking out of this room.
“I’ll give you until your candles are out.” He said as he shook her hand off of his and opened the door. “That’s the only time you’ll get. After that it’s fair game.”
As the door slammed shut behind him, she closed her eyes and let a shakey breath out. She had expected him to say no. To tell her to leave once more before he left the room. She had expected to be running to their shared room and packing a bag to slip out under the radar. But he gave her smallest window of nothing being wrong.
Leaving the room, she quickly ducked into the nearest bathroom to collect herself. Thankfully there hadn’t been many people in the hall and there wasn’t someone already in the bathroom. Making quick use of her time, she ensured that not a single evidence of tears had been on her face and made sure her eyes didn’t hold the emotions she had been feeling. With one last deep breath, she walked back out to the party.
“There she is!” Clint yelled out, catching her attention. “We’ve been trying to keep Thor off of the cake.”
In the last few moments the music had been lowered significantly, to a decent volume. Thankfully they hadn’t decided to do so before she and Bucky had walked out of the room. If they had, she was sure she’d be greeted differently.
“Didn’t I tell you it wouldn’t be long before cake?” Sam teased.
“Someone couldn’t keep their hands off.”
Bucky’s voice had surprised her. As her eyes snapped to his, there wasn’t the playful gleam within his eyes. If anything, he was hiding the glare that wanted to form. He sent a wink her way before he brought the beer bottle up to his lips. The subtle message that he agreed and wouldn’t take it back. He’d keep the new charade up as long as she left just as he asked.
“Enough of that!” Nat said before Y/N could respond. She came over to Y/N and began leading her to stand in front of the cake. “Let’s sing and cut the cake before they decide to disappear again.”
The instant Y/N was in place, Nat began to light the candles on the cake quickly. But her eyes never left Bucky as he moved to stand closer to her for the time being. The others gathered around and it wasn’t long before a countdown started and the singing began. Taking Y/N’s full attention.
From the opposite side of the cake, she watched as the people who had become her friends over the last several years sing to her. The smiles on their faces as they had were something she’d never forget. And as her eyes landed on Bucky, he too had been participating just as she asked him too.  The sparkler candles adding the right touch to the memory she was creating in her mind. The memory she’d keep with her for as long as she could after she left. The and only birthday celebrated with them all.
As the song came to an end, she could see the way Bucky’s eyes had been on anywhere else but her. He had even stopped singing mid song before the others had even finished singing. The ‘normal’ coming to an end.
While every one told her to make some kind of wish, Y/N couldn’t bring herself to. While she could wish for anything and everything to take back today, and even the last few years she would. But the damage had been done. There was no going back now.
I’m sorry. She thought as she blew out the candles.
In the midst of the cheers and the cake being moved away, Y/N was gone from sight. The only one who noticed it at first was Bucky. He watched her the whole entire time. He watched as she manuevored out of sight from the others and down towards the hall.
The moment she was gone from sight, Bucky’s body slumped slightly. The tension in his body leaving as he sat himself down in the nearest chair. The action hadn’t go unnoticed by some of his friends.
“You alright Buck?” Steve’s voice filled his ears as caught his movement in his peripheral taking a seat next to him.
“Give me the rest of tonight to give you an answer to that.” He said even though his eyes never left the hallway.
He had hardly got a grip on the situation himself. He was still processing the information, her words on a loop in his head, along with the hurt he was feeling had his mind spinning. Because how could he begin to explain that the woman they all cared for had been lying for years?
“Where’d Y/N go?” Steve asked keeping his attention on Bucky.
Bucky shrugged his shoulders, trying to keep his emotions at bay. “Your guess is as good as mine.” He finally brought his attention to Steve. “I just need time to give you the ‘why’ of it all.”
After years of freedom from the organization that manipulated, used, and tormented him, Hydra sure had a way of making its presence known in his life even after being destroyed. The relief of freedom he felt had been taken away from him the moment he had opened that file. And the genuine happiness he felt had been shattered to pieces the moment she confirmed his thoughts.

I really think people go too far and miss the point when they pretend that Renfield did nothing wrong the whole novel, and I think they make Renfield's character less interesting in the process. I do find him very sympathetic, and I do think the choices he makes in the novel are very much a product of the dehumanizing conditions he's in... but he still very much makes the choices. He very actively sought Dracula out- if anything he's the one that convinced Dracula to use him not the other way around. He was fully onboard with murdering people and drinking their blood to gain power, he had full knowledge of what Dracula was doing- what changed through the course of the his arc was that he realized human life, human souls had value and he didn't have the right to take that away. Taking him from Point A to Point B is what is interesting, and you can only explore that if you acknowledge his agency to make those choices of his own free will to begin with.
Also. Seward is abusive towards him- but what I also think some people don't understand is: Dr. John Seward is not the root cause of all Renfield's problems. In fact, the text would suggest that Seward's position at that asylum is probably not more than a few months old when the novel starts. Like Seward is simply the latest face of one of many doctors for Renfield. In my Renfield fic, Renfield writes to Seward and he says "You're not halfway to as bad as it gets" and I stand by this, because if I look at it from Renfield's perspective- Seward actions cannot be the worst he's ever endured in his decades of being institutionalized. Seward's interest in studying him affords Renfield far too much choice for that to be the case (bc no one on this site has reading comprehension I'm not saying that it's RIGHT that Seward sees him as an experiment, but I'm saying it allows Renfield to do what he wants to do far more than I imagine would be the case for other doctors).
There are some takes I've seen that were like "oh you can really see how much Seward hates Renfield after he dares to defy him by attacking him" and, like, respectfully, Renfield attacking Seward that one time was not a #girlboss moment for him, and also Seward getting some bad feelings and mistrust of Renfield from that experience is... realistic in my opinion. Even if you are the most altruistic doctor in the world wouldn't you be a little on guard after that experience? In that scene Renfield is attacking Seward with the intent to kill him and drink his blood. It's up for interpretation whether he knew he was being used as a distraction so that Lucy was unguarded, or whether Dracula just spurred him on (again I think giving Renfield the most knowledge is always the most interesting take) but his motives are not noble or sympathetic, he's trying to commit and aid and abet murder for his own selfish ends. The sympathetic thing to me about that scene is he thinks he's going to get so much benefit from these actions, both from drinking Seward's blood and from the rewards Dracula will give him, but all he gets is the padded room and the straight waistcoat, because Dracula is just using him and manipulating him.
Something else I want to say is Renfield DOES in fact manipulate Dr. Seward in this novel. He is manipulative, he is very manipulative. Now, again, he's manipulative because he has no power over his own life, so if he wants to get the things he wants then basically his only option is to convince the doctors to let him do the things he wants- but like. You can understand the reasons behind his actions, and be sympathetic to them, while still recognizing that he's trying to help out Dracula for a long spell of this novel. Renfield is not an innocent, but he's also not a monster. He is someone who has coped with decades of institutional abuse by becoming a manipulative, selfish person, who can be quite nasty. That's realistic, that is often what suffering does to people. Denying that aspect of Renfield is not actually doing his character any favors, and it just makes it less interesting when, despite everything, he grows as a human being and dies trying to save others from Dracula.

Mishima? I personally think he got his bisexual awakening from Joker.
Sexuality Headcanon: possibly bi, yeah! Gender Headcanon: cis A ship I have with said character: i actually do not ship him with anyone. i can't do that to any of the girls, and the guys like... tolerate him at best. sorry mishima you were simply written this way and i have no inclination or motivation to try and change this A BROTP I have with said character: admittedly, the brotp he THINKS he's got with joker and the rest of the phantom thieves is funny from a detached point of view. although it's really a bit sad from his, probably. i see their relationship like the symbiosis between a remora and a shark: they both benefit from it in the way that the remora receives food and protection (mishima's internet clout and feeling a sense of purpose from running the phansite) and the shark doesn't have to worry about parasites (mishima mods the anonymous content on the site and also directs the thieves towards a few mementos requests). generally though, the shark pretty much just... allows the remora to be there, because it's useful. i don't think any of them, even joker, would really call mishima a close friend, at least during the events in the game. A NOTP I have with said character: i. all of them, i guess. A random headcanon: in maruki's reality, he doesn't become the most popular kid in school or anything like that, but he becomes someone that people want around. someone that everybody thinks is reliable. he'd have been surrounded by people who really considered him their friend. General Opinion over said character: it was said in the interviews that they wrote mishima to be the every-man character, and they pretty much succeeded with that. i do like his overall story, but his presence in the game isn't anything super special to me. i think he is every normie p5 fan i've ever met on reddit and i'm sorry i typed that sentence

6 Simple Techniques For Jackery Explorer 290W and Explorer 880W Solar
Along with Jackery being possibly the most recognisable amongst the bunch of companies on offer. A crew of properly taught, properly spoken and strongly motivated senior safety and security specialists, the Irishman and his group have already possessed a whole lot of fun working along with the company for some opportunity. The Irishman is an excellent writer and one of the ultimate. He is a extremely properly related to participant of the crew and he works in a very actual means on every job. These terminals have a whole lot of efficient uses, right via from camping outdoors to also powering a property throughout electrical power outages. But in general, the most vital trait individuals take away from these terminals is that they're used in their real atmosphere. It's much better to utilize them as a handy storing lorry, specifically for backpacking (and other things that need to have a little bit additional legroom). More In-Depth are a requirement in any sort of exterior storing or camping condition. But for us, we were most enthusiastic to observe whether Jackery is a feasible lengthy condition remedy to providing energy within a van conversion . One of those issues with such a system is it's not so hard to figure out what a van transformation is, and just how a lot of years from right now it are going to be. How much power the truck would likely possess if it were a standard truck sale would be one of those. We will certainly view eventually in the blog post beneath. Below, I really want to review Jackery products right through coming from their littlest Explorer 160, right up to their beasty Explorer 1500. Listed below is the break down for each of these. The Explorer 1500 is a lighter, bigger part of devices, that doesn't have the rugged looking body, which was an weird option. But it did look like a actually solid, solid piece of equipment. The Explorer is merely a lighter, lighter item that is incredibly well created and very durable in evaluation. And eventually make a decision whether Jackery is worth buying! The final selection is even more regarding Jackery being the best hero for a lot of. Jackery may eliminate everyone and possess a team of his personal, that he's making an effort to defend. He will definitely always possess to encounter all the tests of his lifestyle. If he stops working on his first outing, his family, crew and buddies will believe that he produced himself the most distinct hero ever before! Permit’s get stuck in … Total Disclosure: We obtained good behavior product and remuneration from Jackery in substitution for our truthful evaluation simply. This has currently been taken out from its internet site. What can you take away coming from this item? • Product info is for informational objectives just. Do not call us for anything other than our customer review and assistance. All point of views revealed right here are our own. The following are our viewpoints. We do not want you to went through all the viewpoints published in this topic (merely those of us who've been complying with the updates and point of view polls, or who have the opportunity of their requirement or inclination) yet. We carry out that by looking at some of the "styles" in today's news-related industry – news that is intriguing to us – you perhaps really want to take a appearance. Jackery is one of the best known companies for creating higher quality, portable power terminals. The business is known for making numerous of the basic house power products and this is where the CNC maker happens in. Today, it is the leading service provider of transportable powered outlets with our CNC machining unit. CNC is an acronym made use of to illustrate one of our very most popular products and it is a easy modern technology with numerous benefits over being a computer course.
Tumblr media
We initially happened all over them in 2020 when a variety of fellow van lifers began talking more and even more about these so-called "transportable power stations" and "solar electrical generators" . The idea was to produce our body systems look at all the different electricity sources and produce really useful representation to aid us. Some of the designs were made for vehicle trip, while various other were made use of by car drivers to pinpoint prospective regions that might be filled up with power through the vehicle. At the time I knew extremely little about electronics, and was presently completely committed to the complexities of transforming our personal campervan. It made sense to put more focus right into how technology would boost efficiency for many individuals, at minimum until it could possibly discover its niche. One of the initial issues that developed, having said that, was that I invested many years of work on various electronics, so I never ever really started to discover how to operate on new innovations.

I'm wondering why everyone is so extremely obsessed over staff cheating, yet when normal users cheat and either are or are not banned, no one bats an eye. Users trust staff judgement when it comes to other users cheating/ban etc. But for some reason, users think staff are corrupt when it comes to punishing other staff. It baffles me. I wonder how many normal users are punished/banned for cheating and no one knows or cares. People feel entitled to private information just because the specific cheater happened to be a staff member.
Let's talk about this. For starters, how much can a regular user benefit from cheating? Having multiple accounts is really the only way to "cheat" as a regular user. How much of an advantage do multiple accounts actually give someone? Three extra hatches per day, an extra spring dip, and access to a few other minimal "daily" benefits that aren't of significant value. Anything beyond that takes significant effort and work in-game that doesn't benefit from being done on two or more accounts anyway. Generally speaking, players who make multiple accounts are usually children who don't have the capacity to realize it's not even worth the effort - and they get caught fairly quickly and removed from the game. A 9-year-old getting to hatch 3 extra zenirix per day doesn't really spark controversy.... But you're welcome to start drama over the next one you catch, if you'd like to.
I'm honestly more confused by how many people think that staff cheating is not a big deal. There's virtually no limit to what staff (with access) can spawn in for themselves. In the most recent case with Schemes we know tu, eggs/pets and items were spawned in. Schemes said herself it was a large amount of tu she lost when she was removed from staff. Your average user can't even come close to that kind of game-breaking advantage. Average users are also paying their real money to buy things staff can (and have) gotten for free by abusing staff powers.
Beyond that, staff are expected to uphold the rules. They are being entrusted with tools that users don't have access to because, obviously, every user can't be trusted with that responsibility. They (support/admin) also enforce the rules - which means banning users who break them. How would it feel if you knew you had been banned by someone who was doing worse damage to the site than you could ever dream of doing? And what if you saw them get caught, but also face less harsh consequences than you did?
Also, I don't think "personal details" are needed about cheating staff. We just want them held accountable and a reasonable amount of transparency about what is happening to the site, enough so that we can trust staff care about the integrity and fairness of the game. We want them to show us it matters.
It's not strange that users want to know that the game we're spending our time and money on isn't totally broken and corrupt. Virtually every game (or company) relies on good customer relations to survive. For most sites, this is a major priority. It's what earns the income that keeps the site running and most admin on other sites see this as paramount. Staff who risk the income of the site are typically removed entirely, in part to protect the contents of the game and also to protect the image of the site.
And yes, we do feel staff are corrupt if they do not take appropriate action against a staff member caught cheating. Because this decision was not made for the good of the site, it was made for interpersonal reasons. The choice that protects the site is to ban staff who are caught cheating. The choice to protect a staff member over the good of the site tells us users and the game are not their priority. It also calls into question their motives for not banning this staff member. Are they worried the same action could be taken against them in the future (meaning other staff may be cheating too)? Are they letting personal friendships influence how they interpret and enforce the rules? Will they continue to make exceptions for staff in the future who cheat? That would be corruption. Especially when, as a recent submission so effectively demonstrated, the damage can not be fully undone or removed from that staff member's account.
If you're still confused, or this doesn't answer your question, please feel free to keep asking because I will go into as much detail as humanly possible to help explain this issue until it is clear. I genuinely mean this.

Is it really possible to write web content “automatically” ?
The answer is yes! thanks to Artificial Intelligence.
This article gives you transparent feedback on using AI-powered writing tools. You will discover how it is best to use these tools, to save time, while allowing you to produce more.
Why use Artificial Intelligence for your SEO?
There are artificial intelligence based writing assistance tools that are used as a way to save time and resources, for writing web content.
And it is precisely for this reason that I wanted to try my luck and test 2 writing tools, based on artificial intelligence.
I have been blogging for almost 3 years on various subjects such as seo, digital marketing, personal organization etc; and I must admit that I sometimes end up running out of ideas for writing fresh and regular content. (Yet necessary to maintain a good ranking!)
Writing takes time of course, but for me the biggest need is to be able to generate valuable, original and interesting content ideas. Because once the idea is found, I generally have no trouble writing.
In this article, the most important advice I want to give you if you are looking to work with artificial intelligence :
Work gradually, step by step, modifying/improving the content at each stage. The more the base of text and the plan of the article that you have (outline) are coherent and of good quality, the better the result obtained afterwards will be.
Another important tip is to vary the input text and keywords, based on which the text will be generated. Sometimes much better results can be obtained by simply modifying the input data, its wording.
So don't hesitate to delete the bad results provided, and restart the text generation to get something better.
Write content and articles with AI
By taking the time to guide ourselves and know how AI works, we can go further and write content for the web, articles, opinions on products or others.
Here are the few tips which you can follow :
1. If AI automatically generate article ideas with keywords, manual validation, correction, selection of an idea that makes sense is very important.
2. If AI automatically generate the plan of the article ,it is very important to check the consistency in the plan. If necessary, rearrange it, or even add points manually, yourself if that makes sense. Often, even an incomplete plan can help us find ideas to enrich it.
3. If AI automatically expand the different paragraphs of your article, you must proofread, correct, expand manually.
You remain in control of the content, but still benefit from valuable help and a significant gain in creativity and time! This can be practical for your own blogs, sites, but also to help you when writing guest articles (Guest posts) on sites / blogs dealing with themes that you may be less familiar with. If you already have the article title ideas, the software will only have to write the paragraphs, which it knows how to do rather well.
Other Useful Modes of Use
Apart from help with writing articles, AI-based writing tools often offer specific thematic modules, to meet specific needs. Often the result of these Modules is very good, because they are optimized for one type of content creation.
Visit Seotoolskit for more exciting and free SEO Content.
Here is an example of an AI Module:
Generate Calls to Action
Generate a persuasion scheme according to my AIDA method (Attention, Interest, Desire, Action) (Possibility to insert the following sample image of AIDA mode):
SEO Meta description
SEO Meta Title
Advertising for Adwords, Facebook
Generate Youtube video ideas
Generate FAQ
Generate a product description etc…
Sometimes, indeed, we would be quicker to write these little pieces of text ourselves. But sometimes, we dry up, or have no more motivation and then the boost of the AI happens to be welcome.
And SEO in all this?
In fact the benefit for SEO is indirect. If we can actually produce more content, including guest articles, then yes, of course that can help us in our SEO process… provided that we master all the other facets of SEO.
The mode for generating Meta-data seems to me more of a gimmick than a real help, because the time spent generating and retouching the text in the software is often greater than the time spent writing it yourself, "with your head".
Of course, if you use specific SEO keywords in the software to generate the content, you will find them in the text, in different sentences and sometimes even enriched with synonyms or other related terms, which can help you position yourself on searches.
Conclusion
You can do it all yourself, of course! But being creative and at the same time productive requires energy and timing. Sometimes we are motivated but we have no creativity or vice versa. And you have to find the window of time, a quiet place, to be able to take advantage of this creativity. In this context, artificial intelligence can be a useful aid . To be used combined with writing work, during periods when you lack motivation and energy. (For example after a good sleepless night because baby slept badly ). In this case we can let the AI robot work, suggest ideas, write paragraphs of articles . Then we can quietly sort out the wheat from the chaff. But still, it was possible to create complementary content with less effort. The other asset is also the contribution in creativity. With a few key words on a specific subject, it is possible to be suggested ideas for interesting articles. We thus create the effect of a " brainstorming ", in the form of ping-pong between your own ideas and the suggestions of the AI, you find yourself increasing your creativity tenfold. Of course, it is always necessary to retouch, improve and reorganize the content produced. The best is even to do it continuously. But in the end, it's really nice to see that part of the work has already been done, that we can “automate” part of it. It's motivating, and allows you to maintain a constant rate of production and quality. I think a good copywriter can use it skillfully and practically, using the suggestions to generate other ideas, and get a great result. On the other hand, we are of course very far from a miracle solution where anyone could write a perfect article by pressing a button.

I want to come back to this article, which I reblogged a post from (after seeing it reblogged by loads of people on my dash). I recommend reading the article if you haven’t done so. Its central argument revolves around the idea that “modern liberal democracy presents itself as non-ideological beyond ideology,” and that ideology itself is always presented in literature/media as unacceptably violent— villainous. (I would argue that, in fact, any sort of cultural “accretion,” in the sense that culture is perceived as "on top of” and obscuring universalized western ideology,  is tolerated only insofar as it is not really taken specifically or seriously. That’s why even characters who are presented as deeply religious (think of Matt Murdock or Rogue One’s Baze and Chirrut) are portrayed as religious in a way that is broad, universal, flexible, and vague.
One issue that the article doesn’t really delve into is that supposedly “ideologue” villains are actually profoundly anideological, except insofar as their ideology is, like, anti- modern liberal democracy’s lack of ideology. A really interesting example of this is in Iron Man: Tony Stark gets held hostage by a group of extremists whose extreme belief is... well... even the MCU wiki seems unable to provide any detail on this beyond “destroying world peace.” The film employs a weird move where it obviously relies on the Afghan setting of the villainous Ten Rings to suggest associations with radical Islamism, yet also provides evidence that the Ten Rings are not Islamists. On the one hand, it provides a sort of generic Western specter of radical Islamists— brown men speaking foreign languages and living in Afghan caves— and on the other hand it coyly removes all potential religious, political, or cultural motivation for their actions. These guys aren’t impoverished tribesmen who’ve been subject to tumultuous centuries of imperial warfare, and they’re not religious extremists living out masculine power fantasies. They’re just a group of dudes who kind of look vaguely Middle Eastern and kind of sound vaguely Middle Eastern (since Arabic and Persian are the languages we hear the most).
Of course, there’s a real-world explanation for this: Marvel wants to be able to tap into that specter of radical Islamism without offending Muslim consumers. But the textual effect is to create a picture of the world in which terrorism in Afghanistan is evacuated of all meaning. Don’t get me wrong: terrorism in Afghanistan is unbelievably destructive and to a large extent nihilistic, in that it benefits no one and spreads only despair and suffering. But at the same time, it arises out of a historical, political, economic, and religious-cultural context, and if you refuse to understand this context, then you will fail to understand why people make the choice to become terrorists (or how to stop them).
That’s the real problem here: the creation of a world in which the only rational choice is modern liberal democracy, and all other choices are nonsensical.
Marvel is a great site at which to explore this, simply because there’s so much of it. (You could also easily look at Star Wars, as MacQuarrie does in that article— why does the First Order want power? New extended universe writers have fleshed this out more in their web of liminally canonical texts, but on screen the answer seems to be, in the words of the also-manifestly-guilty-of-this-and-guilty-in-other-ways Joss Whedon’s Dr. Horrible: “the world is a mess, and I just need to rule it.”)
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is a wildly characteristic example of this. It has the thankless task of trying to engage with the effects of the canonically almost effect-free (cf Spider-man: Far From Home) blip, and pieces together a weirdly nonsensical storyline in which the blip enable border-free mass migration, which was revoked when the other half of the world’s population reappeared. The plot revolves around a group of super soldier refugees/displaced persons who want to stop borders from being reimposed on the world. Sam Wilson refers to the refugees as “people who have been welcomed into countries that previously kept them out with barb wire,” and indeed it's hard to imagine any version of this narrative in which the “migration” we’re talking about is the migration of Global South nationals to the Global North. There’s a really plausible specter here: the Global North does source its manual and domestic labor from the Global South while, whenever possible, keeping Global South nationals out with barbed wire. It does make sense that the Global North would import laborers and then attempt to deport them when their presence was no longer convenient. That is, in fact, literally what has happened/is happening in the UK to foreign healthcare workers during the pandemic.
However, as in Iron Man, Marvel wants to mobilize a specter while also evacuating it of all meaning. None of the displaced people we see in TFATWS bear any resemblance to real-world displaced persons. In spite of their United Colors of Benetton racial diversity, they display no marks of culture, religion, nationality, or indeed poverty. They even have British and American accents. They are completely neutral in every way.
This matters for several reasons. First of all, it allows the viewer to differentiate between the migrants on-screen— Western-looking, English-speaking, non-religious— with migrants off-screen: [perceived to be] too religious, non-English-speaking, culturally and racially “other.” Secondly (again as with Iron Man), it removes all context from the act of migration. Why did these people become migrants? Uh... because of the blip, I guess? Beyond some vague references to suffering, it’s never addressed. This allows the viewer to completely detach the question of migrants/displacement from any of its structural context. Why do people migrate in the real world? Because their countries have been completely devastated by warfare, often proxy warfare carried out by imperial states. Because climate change has completely devastated the regions where they live, with or without triggering devastating warfare. Because they belong to ethnic, political, and/or religious groups that are being systematically destroyed by state governments. Because colonialism and neoliberal capitalism have completely devastated the economies of the regions where they live. This is why the stakes of migration are high.
If, as the show suggests, people just migrate for various personal reasons that really aren’t that important, then the stakes are not high, and we don’t have to feel bad about the behavior of our governments. This is a huge problem at a time when Denmark is shipping Syrian asylum-seekers back to Syria because it’s apparently fine now, Joe Biden is failing to make good on campaign promises about increasing refugee quotas, the UK is housing asylum seekers in situations that violate human rights law, migrant drownings in the Mediterranean Sea have become a regular feature, and the United States has systematically resisted fulfilling its promises to Iraqis and Afghans who risked their lives working for US forces in exchange for visas.
But, like, above and beyond the specific political issue of migration: what is the Flag Smasher ideology? “One world, one people.” I accept that there might be some viewers (mostly those with no knowledge or experience of immigration) who oppose this on principle, but it seems pretty obviously... good. So the bad part is... that they’re fighting for it? (According to people in my notes, this is Bad.) It’s possible to read this as another example of what the MacQuarrie article discusses: personal violence good, ideological violence bad. However, once again we have an example of an ideology that is not ideological, an ideology that is a specter cleaned out of any possible substance. The nonsensical choice here (the one beside which modern liberal democratic norms are obvious) is the choice to commit violence when there is no urgency that justifies this— none of the urgency that, in fact, exists in the real world, and explains why people regularly sacrifice their lives in desperate attempts to escape their homes.
This is a really good example of how capitalism— a force with no real agency or subject, no evil committee planning its deeds— ends up enacting a project that systematically enforces its ideology. Attempts to render narratives apolitical are themselves profoundly political, even when justified in terms of appeal to the consumer. This is one of the most dangerous aspects of media, IMHO.

How would prison abolition deal with murderers, serial killers, paedophiles, torturers, kkk members,neo-Nazis and terrorists? Some people are a legit danger and cannot be allowed to roam society.
So I didn’t answer this at the time, because the anon who sent it is almost definitely the racist troll sending me shit I’m not going to publish (so like uhhh bear that in mind lmao), but I’ve blocked them now and it’s been a few days, so hopefully they’ve fucked off by now. Plus, I’ve been thinking about this question a LOT since before I received it. It’s a question that I think most people have about the concept of prison abolition and reparative justice, and not everyone with these concerns is asking in bad faith. Besides which, with the recent attempted coup and the way it looks like people who participated are actually going to face legal consequences for it (which alone was somewhat surprising to me tbh), I’ve been seeing a lot of leftists discoursing over whether it’s morally okay and intellectually consistent to be happy about cops beating up, killing, and arresting KKK members and Neo-Nazis, so it is now actually topical! Under the cut due to long response~
So the first thing I want to point out, is that literally every single one of the groups of “legit dangers who cannot be allowed to roam society”, are already out there right now. In our current “justice” system, it’s common knowledge that monsters often get off on a technicality, or because they just have the money to throw lawyer after lawyer at the charges, or because they outright bribe someone, or countless other ways to get around the law. You can look on my own literal tumblr blog and watch me argue with grown ass adults who will bold faced admit to consuming child porn with half-assed excuses, and you’ll find more open pedophiles on sites like twitter, reddit, or 4chan, or porn sites where “teen” is usually one of the most popular categories. Besides which, have you ever looked at the average sentences for convicted rapists, wife beaters, or pedophiles, as compared with the sentences for getting caught selling drugs? In middle school I had to walk a mile or two to get to school through a neighborhood we’d been warned had a convicted pedophile in it, who had just been released after less than 15 years. In that same city, I heard a story about a woman shooting and killing her rapist, and prosecutors were discussing giving her the death penalty for it (she was bragging and laughing about it on video, it was definitely premeditated, but still). Have you ever looked at the statistics of how many rapists and abusers aren’t reported, or if they are reported aren’t prosecuted, or if they are are prosecuted with a slap on the wrist (remember Brock Turner????) Also I notice how you didn’t even mention domestic abusers or rapists in your list of people who need to be locked up lolololol shows where your priorities vis a vis “public safety are I’m sorry, but the system just does not work the way you think it does, the we are taught it does.
People who make this argument always act like the systems we have now are efficient and nigh on flawless when it comes to “not letting dangerous people roam society”, but it isn’t and it can’t be and it never will be. That very fact ought to be enough to shake your faith in the idea that society will become a nonstop Purge of indiscriminate violence if everyone who’s committed a sufficiently despicable act of violence isn’t locked up for the rest of their lives -but you might say, “okay, but those are flukes, the system still works because most of the people who are “a danger to society” are usually locked up.” I’m not completely sold that that’s even true (have you ever heard of the opportunities cops had to bring in serial killers and murderers, who just didn’t care enough to try? Jeffrey Dahmer is a good example of this), but I’ll assume it is to move on to my next point.
Even if we assumed that the system as we have it, worked flawlessly as designed, that doesn’t change the fact that a lot of the categories mentioned here are people that are actively running the very systems that this rhetoric is defending. It’s well-documented that American white supremacists of various stripes have infiltrated law enforcement and the military for the express purpose of not just “roaming free”, but getting to exert the power of the State over people of color. Cops and soldiers kill people all the time, and not only are they not penalized, they’re celebrated for it. Agents of the State fucking torture people all the time, and I don’t just mean Guantanamo Bay or war crimes by soldiers; cops have been caught on camera spraying protesters with pepper spray and beating them once they’ve already been handcuffed or while they’re chained to trees or whatever -not because they think they “need” to, because they want to, and they know they’ll get away with it. Cops also systematically torture people in prison with solitary confinement. Heads of state drop bombs on civilians for “politically motivated reasons”, they do all kinds of shit that would be called “terrorism” if anybody but a State did it; and people might disapprove, but they don’t (generally) claim that the politicians and generals who made that call are “a danger to society” that need to get life in prison. If you genuinely believe that whether these acts of violence are “legal” or not changes whether they’re okay, or that a person who engages in illegal violence is “dangerous” but people who engage in legal violence aren’t... I’m honestly not even going to try to refute that here lol, prison abolition is level 5 shit and you’re at level -1, study how authoritarianism in general works before trying to understand prison abolition (not trying to be a dick here, it’s what i would tell my younger self when I believed the same thing).
It simply does not hold up to rational scrutiny to believe that society will collapse into an orgy of violence and mayhem if we abolish prison (or that we’ll have to resort to medieval punishments instead??? lol funny take i remember from some racist troll or other over the years), when those dangers are already present (and in some cases widely celebrated as “heroes” and given the power to indiscriminately brutalize “acceptable targets” with the State’s monopoly on violence) under the current system.
The next thing people need to understand is that contrary to popular belief and despite how counterintuitive it sounds, even the brutality of our current prison system is not an effective deterrent to crime (linked a Guardian article that looks like it has some good info on this, but I recommend a book called Unfair: The New Science of Criminal Injustice by Adam Benforado for more information). Let me say that again: the threat of prison has been empirically shown to be INEFFECTIVE as a deterrent to crime. Do you really think that a serial killer or someone who wants to blow up a building full of people is going to be more likely to follow the law for fear of prison, than regular people doing regular people crimes like selling drugs or getting into drunk fights that go too far?
I don’t think anyone is actually willing to argue that prison “rehabilitates” anyone, or does anything besides make regular criminals into angrier, more antisocial, more desperate criminals with more criminal connections and less options for any kind of a legitimate living, so I’m just going to point out that having such a large prison population arguably creates more people who have shitty lives of poverty and are surrounded by people who are in and out of prison. It’s not like that “makes” anybody into a serial killer, but I feel like you’d have to willfully ignorant to act like it’s not a factor in increasing violent crime in affected community.
So, I’ve so far argued that prison is an ineffective solution to the problems it claims to exist in order to solve, and that in many cases, it actually makes the problems that lead to these sorts of dangerous people (”regular” murderers and the radicalization of Neo-Nazis and KKK members in particular, I think) becoming dangerous, or at least more dangerous, in the first place. What I haven’t done, is talk about what I believe is the real core of the issue when it comes to prison abolition: nobody wants to fucking peacefully rehabilitate these people. I am arguing for a system that would handle these people basically as gently as possible, with the goal of releasing them back into society eventually, and I still believe these things mostly intellectually, not emotionally. I don’t want the men who sexually assaulted me and/or my loved ones to get off scot free (they did, of course, but that’s beside the point), much less serial killers or Nazis, and I’m not about to get on my high horse about wanting revenge on people who’ve committed these kinds of atrocities. The reason I’m a prison abolitionist in spite of these feelings is that I do not believe the desire for revenge, for punishment for punishment’s own sake, is an impulse we should indulge when creating social and political infrastructures that have ultimate power over millions of lives. In the words of someone talking about abolishing the death penalty, the question isn’t “do they deserve to die”, the question is “do we deserve to kill”; and here, the question is not “does anyone deserve to be imprisoned in this system”, the question is “do we deserve to brutalize people in this way for virtually zero practical benefits to our society”. What any person “deserves” is a subjective moral and philosophical question, one that no conceivable human justice system could ever actually answer. We as a society need to build alternatives to prison (and police!) that can actually address these problems, actually prevent the conditions that create and enable monsters, and actually rehabilitate (to whatever extent that is possible) criminals -even the ones we, personally, despise. Any long-term incarceration that may end up being 100% required should be designed to reduce the suffering of the person in it, no matter how despicable of a person they are. Trying to solve “the problem of evil” instead of trying to create a more functional and just society is a fool’s errand that can only lead to more evil existing, in the end.
At the end of the day, the “irredeemable” people you listed off as justifications for the continuing existence of prison, are only a tiny fraction of the people in prison, even the ones with life sentences. A full understanding of the horror and oppression the prison industrial complex enacts on the people in it and their communities (and how the system is designed to make a profit off of human suffering and death) is something you’ll have to read some actual books about in order to acquire. However, I don’t think it’s controversial to say that any horror we as a society deem “acceptable” to do to the worst of the worst, will also be done to regular criminals, as well as to innocent people who are wrongly imprisoned. Any brutality you design with a serial killer in mind WILL eventually be a punishment for a petty thief or drug dealer or sex worker, or a person who didn’t commit the crime they were incarcerated for. Is it really worth it? Is it really, really worth all the misery and oppression prison causes, to satiate our sense of justice? I don’t believe that it is. I believe that we have a responsibility both to the incarcerated and to their communities to base our policies and institutions on actually solving these societal problems however we can, and leaving our “eye for an eye” mentality in the dark ages where it belongs.
If you are interested in prison abolition as a concept, I can recommend some good books on it. You also need to understand that concept of “reparative justice”, which I’ve alluded to here but not really explained because OH MY GOD THIS POST IS TOO LONG ALREADY. Short explanation of it is that it aims to repair the harm done by the crime and rehabilitate the criminal through through therapy and trying to get them to actually understand what they’ve done and empathize with who they’ve hurt, while also providing therapy and resources to the victim of the crime (when it’s something violent and the reparation can’t just be “give them their money back plus extra for damages” or something). The point is not to satiate anybody’s sense of justice or revenge, but to proactively try to solve the problem the crime has caused and prevent the offender from doing it again. It would need to work in conjunction with the abolition of police (and replacement with better infrastructure for the few things cops do that we actually need done) and various other social programs and measures to prevent the circumstances that lead to crime. This sounds like a long shot because it is, but just because it hasn’t been done on a wide scale before doesn’t mean it can’t be, and just because it will be difficult doesn’t mean it’s not worth doing.

Need to write all this down because I just stared into space for a solid 30 min just dreaming about this scenario / potential fanart comic that I could draw of Ben x Devi (I’ve been obsessing over them for the past couple of days and it’s probably due to me not having good dick since god knows forever)
(Draft)
So the comic will start off with Devi being sort of upset and horny, reminiscing about her interaction with Paxton - maybe a really hot makeout sesh and they’re about to have sex - except last minute, Devi gets cold feet and it’s sexually frustrating for Paxton. So Devi is hella embarrassed and mad at herself for pulling back. She tries to initiate again, but Paxton is just like, “forget it, you’re not ready,” and Devi is like “no, I want it.” And Paxton pauses, looks at her, and shakes his head like “no, you’re not. It’s okay. I don’t want you to feel pressured to do something you’re not ready for.” Which Devi feels insulted by and is terribly sorry. Paxton just smiles and kisses her on the forehead and is like, “I think I should drop you off. It’s getting late.”
End daydream. Devi reels in secondhand embarrassment and is mad at herself for stopping. She vows not to do that again and, of course, in typical Devi fashion, she thinks to herself, “well, if we end up having sex the next time we makeout, I better do my due diligence and research into how to properly have sex.”
And what other way to learn about something than to study up on it?
She begins thinking about how she could do her research. She’s studied anatomy before and knows the basics - the testicles, the glans, urethra, sperm, prostate, yadda yadda. And she’s taken health class and sexual education on how to put on condoms (on bananas- nonetheless - San Fernando valley had pretty liberal sex ed).
But she’s never seen what sex looked like. Never heard it. Never smelled it. Never experienced it from afar or visually.
That’s when she thought of it - porn.
She goes to her room, opens up her laptop, and googles “porn.” Search results pop up, and she catches glimpse of some of the keywords.
“Perky oiled brunette shoves two cocks in both holes”
“Slut sucks slobbers on big veiny dick”
“Curvy sexy ebony rides and squirts before getting facial”
The ache in her groin gnawed even more and—did she just twitch down there? With her blood rushing to her cheeks and between her legs with each horny, perverted word that her eyes came across, her fingers tremble and her body - her breasts - feels like it’s tingling, aching and needing to be roughly handled.
Nervous and horny, she clicks on the first one: porn hub.
She enters a site of orange and black - a pop up window asks if she’s 18 or older. She hesitates, feeling dirty and corrupt. She clicks on enter.
Squares of images lined in a grid populate, organized by category. She skims the words - “Anal”, “BBW,”“Cumshot,” “Compilations”—the list went on and on.
One of the categories catches her eye: “Desi.”
It was both laughable and eye-opening to see that category. A category just for Indian women? She was both amazed and flattered, and for just a brief moment, she wondered if her ancestors could see her.
Her father, she thinks.
Oh god, why is she thinking of him all of a sudden.
Ashamed, she shakes her head, exits out of the window, and closes her laptop. A cool chill runs down her spine, calming her excitement, chilling the pulsating heat that had pooled between her legs. She’s embarrassed for thinking of her dead father and for even thinking of looking up porn. She’s ashamed and pushes her laptop away, now doubly frustrated at herself and for still being sexually pent up. She gets up to grab water in the kitchen, hoping the ice cold water will help temper her aching need.
The doorbell rings.
Devi’s ears perk, and she furrows her brows. Who could this be, she thinks, as she ran down the stairs, walking to the door to peep through the hole.
She gasps, “oh crap.”
It’s Ben!
“Shoot, I forgot!”
Ben was supposed to come over to work on a history project with her - and have dinner, she remembers, since she told her mom and her mom insisted.
“Ah, yes Ben! I remember that boy with the massive pimple on his face who cried in my office!” Devi smirks at Nalini’s comment but then remembers, dammit, why did her mom also want him for dinner?
She opens the door, deepens her frown, a blush creeping on her face as she locks her brown eyes with light blue ones.
“Sup, loser,” Ben says, and Devi almost loses her blush except he smirks, a twinkle in his eye, and a slightly lifted brow. Devi’s eyes trail down over his shirt which clings to his pecs and biceps, and she feels the blush coming back.
And then she notices his strong arms and hair and veins—
“Fuck you,” she says, rolling her eyes, quickly turning her back against him so he doesn’t see her blush harder.
Jeez, what’s wrong with her today? Devi thought (as well as Ben). Why was she so god damn horny?
“What’s your problem, David?” Ben asks. He looks around Devi’s living room. “Where’s your mom?”
Devi shrugs. “Probably at work with her coworkers. Mom’s trying to bring more fun and benefits to motivate them, she claims.”
“Ah, that explains it.” Ben is a little relieved since Devi’s mom was a tough one to please. But, he knew that Nalini had a soft spot for him. (Or, at least he had a 95% confidence level in that thought).
“Actually, kanna, I’m just finish up cooking dinner here with Kamala,” Nalini chimed.
Ben and Devi snapped their heads towards the direction of the kitchen where Nalini and Kamala were cleaning up.
“And if you had helped me like you should have done, you’d know that I was busy cooking up aloo gobi dosas before leaving for my work event later tonight.”
Ben sniffed deeply, the aroma of ghee and asafetida and cumin wafting in the air. How did Devi not notice her mom was cooking with the delicious smells dancing in her home?
“S-sorry mom, I forgot. I just have been feeling a bit out of it today,” Devi replies sheepishly. “Kind of feel hot.” Which was true. Something was terribly wrong with her today for some reason. It felt like there was this growing ache down in her groin that needed to be filled, and with each step she took, every friction against her clit would send shivers of pleasure all over her body.
Before Ben could react, Nalini immediately runs to Devi’s side and places the back of her hand on Devi’s forehead.
“Hm,” Nalini scrunches her brows. “I don’t feel a fever, but you do have a slight blush. Devi, if you’re feeling sick, please don’t get us all sick and go to your room. You should’ve told us and Ben earl—“
“I’m not sick!” Devi blurts, shaking her head. Nalini is taken aback.
“I- I guess,” Devi lowers her voice, trying to come up with an excuse for why she was dickstracted—er, distracted.
“I feel burnt out from studying for AP physics and AP calculus this week,” Devi lies.
“Amateur,” Ben scoffs, smirking. He looks at Devi who snaps to look, looking both mad and flustered, her cheeks tinted slightly redder than normal. It was enough to wipe the smirk off his face. Was she okay?
“I’m not letting you show me up, you jerk!”
Yeah, she was okay, he thought.
“Devi!” Nalini’s jaw fell and she looked like she was about to chew Devi’s face off which terrified Ben.
“N-no, sorry Ms Vishwakumar, that was totally my fault and uncalled for,” Ben cuts in. He looks at Devi who still looks mad at him (but less so, maybe a bit of relief).
“Would it be all right if we study first and then eat dinner?” Ben asks, not sure whether to direct the question to Nalini or Devi first.
“Dinner will get cold,” Nalini warns. “But, I must leave now, so you two can do what you will and whatever regarding dinner.” As she runs towards the door and grabs the keys, Nalini whips her head back and stares daggers at Devi.
“Devi, behave please,” she says through gritted teeth before shutting the door.
Devi sighs in relief and turns to Ben.
“So,” she says, heading towards the stairs. “Let’s get moving. We don’t have much time before dinner gets cold and it’s bedtime.”
Ben nods, walking behind under her. He looks up - damn she has a nice ass - curvy and round. He notices she is wearing a pretty short skirt, and—was that…
Ben blinks twice in disbelief, looking away before looking again. It was no doubt what it was—sticky wet lubricant-like liquid. Running down her inner thigh. Or maybe that’s sweat, he told himself.
Ben blushes. Wow, he felt like such a pervert for staring up her skirt. That and they were going up to her room. To study. Yeah.
(But damn her butt, her curves)
As they enter her room, Ben immediately plops down on the floor, opens his bag quickly, pulls out his AP European history book and notebook, and opening them and flipping through pages (nervously?) and quietly.
“Dude, you’ve been eerily silent this entire time,” Devi torts, and she can’t blame him, can’t blame how nerve wracking it was to have your chiseled (wait shut up Devi) arch nemesis in her room - supposedly a safe haven - to study. Come to think of it, why did she let him in her room? She began to regret her decision, especially when she realized that her nervousness was also turning into heated excitement, her breasts were tingling with desire and even her clit—
“You said you wanted to hurry, so here I am, focused, David,” Ben snaps. He ignores the fact that she’s not wearing a bra and that her tank top isn’t enough to hide her hardened nipples.
(Her cleavage looked so inviting, he dare not stare too long at her tits)
“Actually, for once, you didn’t use your brain and suggest we work downstairs and eat dinner simultaneously instead,” Devi retorted. “Let me just grab my laptop and we can go back downstairs to study and eat dinner at the same time.”
“Don’t put the blame on me for your lack of brain usage,” Ben snapped back, rolling his eyes.
Devi throws a stuffed animal at his head, and he barely dodges it.
“Asshole,” she mutters as she gets on her knees and reaches over her mattress and duvet, grabbing her Macbook.
That’s when Ben saw her soaking wet panties.
Heat rushed from his head to his other head, his cock jumping.
Holy fuck, he thought, is she doing this on purpose? Why did she have to put her ass up like that? Was this intentional? This was a little too cliche, he thought, and porn-like. Girl wearing no bra and apparently soaking wet invites horny boy over to her room and puts her ass in the air while in bed?
“Uh, yeah, yep, sure, that’s probably a better idea,” Ben stammers, trying to ignore his growing boner and grabbing his books. “Lemme just stuff—“
(Those boobs)
“—these boo….ooks. Books. In my bag.” He pushes the last book in his backpack and zips it up.
Oh dear god, did she notice his almost Freudian slip?
He glances over at her, and she’s got a raised brow. “Uh, okay, weirdo, did you just almost say boobs?” Devi says.
“What, no?” Ben says. “You weird pervert.”
“Don’t lie! I saw you staring at my boobs! You’re the pervert!”
“What kind of crap are you projecting onto me for? I’m innocent!”
“You’re like the least innocent person I know!”
“That’s definitely not true,” Ben scoffs. “And even if it was, it’s better than being an Unfuckable Nerd.”
That did it. That was the straw on the camel’s back. Devi was enraged, insulted, and sexually frustrated. Ben had dug into a deep insecurity of hers, a wound that she desperately wanted to heal and prove herself out of. For all her life, she had never felt desirable, never had a boy flirt with her or ask her out or even given her attention. When Ben first called her an “Unfuckable Nerd,” she didn’t show how painful the sting of his insult was to her lonely heart. She did not want to be the forever nerdy virgin who was seen as sexually undesirable and —god forbid—ugly.
(Was that why Paxton pushed her away, she thought briefly?)
“Shut up!” she yells before chucking her laptop at him. She misses by a meter (thank god her eye hand coordination was god awful), but she’s not sure if she was even intending on hitting him with the laptop. Still, the moment the laptop flew out of her hands and onto her carpeted floor (with a nice thud), Ben knew he had made a huge mistake. And so did Devi (though she dare not be the first one to admit that she was wrong).
Except she was really wrong this time.
“Devi!” Ben exclaimed. “I’m—“
“Oh fuck Ben, I’m—“
“So sorry.”
Both Ben and Devi apologized simultaneously, with heavy regret and a tint of fear in their voices.
“N-no, I crossed the line, Devi,” Ben said. “It’s really…misogynistic and objectifying of me to call you Unfuckable.”
Because you’re quite the opposite, he thought.
Devi acknowledged internally the apology, but it still stung painfully in her heart. She wanted to let him know that it still hurt.
(Especially hearing that term from him).
Still, she knew she was also incredibly at fault for almost injurying Ben.
“I’m also sorry, I really…really should’ve not thrown my laptop at you. I could’ve injured you really badly.” Devi dropped down to her knees, getting down to Ben’s level since he was still on the floor, a bit shaken by her throwing her laptop at him.
“I guess I deserved it,” he said. He looked over at the laptop on the ground.
“But if you did break it, don’t expect me to pay for a new one,” he said with a smirk.
Devi rolled her eyes. “I’m not your sugar baby; I wasn’t expecting you to pay for a new one.” She crawls towards her MacBook (Ben consciously looking away since she’s on her knees again) and opens it, praying to herself that it was still functioning.
She tapped on her keyboard multiple times.
Blank screen.
“Oh fuck,” she whispered. She kept tapping on the keys of the keyboard.
No response.
“Crap!” Devi hissed. “Oh no, no no no!” She was sort of panicking. “I knew this would happen.”
“So why did you throw the laptop then?” Ben slyly asked.
“Not. Helpful. Ben.”
Ben scoots closer to Devi, wraps his arm around her—
Devi is shocked, his graze making her melt into his touch, sending the pent up frustration and heat back to her ache and pussy—
But, Ben was only merely reaching around to press down on her laptop’s button for a couple of seconds before the lock screen shone back on.
Oh, Devi thought, a feeling of defeat and disappointment settling in her chest. He wasn’t hugging her.
But, hey her laptop’s alive.
“Oh thank god,” she says, breathing a sigh of relief before turning to him - wow he’s somehow pretty close to her face and body and oof, his proximity sets a fire across her entire body —
“Consider yourself lucky. Looks like you don’t have to buy me a new laptop,” she says, smirking.
Ben scoffs.
“In your dreams, David.”
Oddly enough, Ben’s arm is still wrapped around her, his presence warm and enveloping. Devi is tempted to lean into it but knows better (especially not now when she has been hot and bothered all day).
She types her password in her Lock Screen, hits enter, and gasps in horror as she realized that she didn’t properly close out her browser full of porn -
(which is now blasting moans of cam girls fucking the selves with sex toys all thanks to livejasmin)
“Oh shit!” Devi immediately slams her screen shut again.
But it was too late.
Ben’s brows shoot up, eyes widening and jaw dropping in guffaw. A laugh of disbelief escapes from his throat.
“Holy crap! And you called ME the pervert?” Ben laughs. “Who’s the pervert now?”
But damn, wow, he’s turned on.
He tightens his arm around Devi in a proper hug now, pressing her closer to him, and leans in, an inch from her ear, whispering —
“You’re a dirty girl”—
Before pressing his lips on hers.

Hi hiiii. This is my first time requesting but... would you mind writing Kita's NSFW Alphabet? MY MAN DESERVES THE HYPE ;) Thank youuuu <3
I didn't proof read this so feel free to correct any of my mistakes.
I'm so sorry I didn't make this GN, it's so hard to go into detail. 😥
NSFW Alphabet (Kita Shinsuke)
A = Aftercare (what they’re like after sex)
King of aftercare. This guy won't leave you unattended. He'll draw a nice warm bath for you. If he's feeling it, he'd take a bath with you. Gives you a body massage, which usually leads to another set of rounds, when he was extra rough that day. Will whisper that you did good taking him in, you won't even know if he's praising you or teasing you. Every thing he does for aftercare just makes you wanna have sex with him all over again.
B = Body part (their favorite body part of theirs and also their partner’s)
He loves his arms and back because that's where you usually hook on for support which also means he likes you marking him. He wouldn't even care if someone saw your scratch marks, he's low-key showing you off. He likes the way you grip on him like he's your only source of strength. He doesn't have a favorite part of your body though because that's all you. It's all his, you're all his. Why would he want a favorite? He loves every inch of your body and makes sure they receive equal attention.
C = Cum (anything to do with cum, basically)
This guy wears condoms. Cleanliness. To avoid unwanted pregnancy. Cum? Straight to the condom. Sometimes when he's close, he'd pull out his dick, remove the condom and cum on you while his fingers do wonders to your hole. He does it raw with you sometimes ─ either you insisted on doing it and after asking if you’re sure many times, he’d comply or if he’s extra horny and he’s sure you’re on a safe day and on your pills.
D = Dirty secret (pretty self explanatory, a dirty secret of theirs)
His left ear is extra sensitive and he likes it when you nibble on it and suck on the area behind it. He doesn't know you've figured it out, he just thinks it's your favorite spot to suck on.
E = Experience (how experienced are they? do they know what they’re doing?)
At first, since he solely relied on knowledge on paper and sites, he tested those out and it came out bad. He used to read sex articles and stuff found on the internet. He’s intelligent enough to know vaginas don’t smell like roses and taste like sweet candy as they described them to be. He then started to listen to the twins’ conversations and eventually got caught up in those said conversations. You won’t change my mind that they exchange sex tips and tricks. Kita came to be their master or something. His dick kind of makes up for his lack of techniques and such during sex but still! He pleasures you. He does his absolute best to make you feel good. He asks you if you want him to go deeper, if you want him to thrust harder. He'd probably do anything and everything you want him to do as long as you're pleased.
F = Favorite position (this goes without saying)
Side fuck because he doesn't skip leg day. /j
Yes, side fuck — second to missionary. The side fuck but not really…? God, I hate this, I don’t know what it’s called. Basically, he’s on his side and you’re lying on your back. The first time he did you in this position, he had leg cramps and it was extremely painful but he enjoys this position nevertheless. He likes that you’re so close to his body, that he can see how your hole devours his cock, and of course, your lips are so close to him he can just turn your moans into heavy breaths in his mouth.
G = Goofy (are they more serious in the moment? are they humorous? etc.)
He takes everything seriously and, of course, this isn’t an exception. Okay, so, his grannyma tells him someone's always watching but he stopped caring. He doesn't get nervous about things he does regularly, on a daily basis. But y'all don't have sex daily (who does tho?), so he's kinda nervous and giddy (he doesn’t show it). His top priority is to make you feel good always. He’d usually whisper to your ear some lines that go like, “you’re squeezing me so tight, I won’t go anywhere, I’m all yours, baby” without knowing this turns you on so fucking much.
H = Hair (how well groomed are they? does the carpet match the drapes? etc.)
Having black and white pubes would be weird so I'm saying it's black.. and thick. The aesthetic kind of thick (LOL, WHAT?). Okay, he's clean. He doesn't shave it fully but trims it every month because he knows the benefits of keeping your pubes. Neat guy, neat privates.
I = Intimacy (how are they during the moment? the romantic aspect)
Kita showers you with compliments and words of assurance but it always comes out as dirty talk? He’d say you’re so good ─ that he wants to come inside you so bad because you’re just begging for him to do so with how you squeeze him so tight. But then again, the way he whispers those three words turns you on more than any other thing he had said. His hands never leave your body. He doesn't seem like the possessive type but he want you to remember his touches.. and only his. He won't grip the sheets or the headboard whenever he pounds into you. He places his hands on your cheeks, neck, your waist. He pulls you close and moans in your mouth as he comes. Always.
J = Jack off (masturbation headcanon)
Believe me, he doesn’t jack off that often. It’s not because of what his granny says that someone’s always watching him but because he knows you’d come to him and you’d come for him. When you’re far away from each other, he can’t help but miss you and your touch and that’s where his trusty right hand comes into play. He always calls you when he jacks off. If you’re not available, he’d leave a voicemail so just be careful not listening to it in public.
K = Kink (one or more of their kinks)
Praise kink but reverse? LMAO, is this a thing? He likes it when he praises someone during sex, he likes the mewls coming out of your mouth whenever he calls you a good girl.
L = Location (favorite places to do the do)
He likes to do it on the bed because a.) you’re both comfortable and b.) unlimited sex positions. He likes the way you grip on the bedsheets, the way your heels dig onto the mattress, how he can feel your warmth everywhere. The bathroom is another thing. He likes the coldness of it and the only source of heat is each other’s body, he likes the way you make lewd faces when he fucks you in front of the bathroom mirror, when he eats you out while sitting on the toilet and how intimate you get under the running water.
M = Motivation (what turns them on, gets them going)
He gets harder even more that it hurts not to come inside your cunt when you try your best to not let out moans because his granny might hear you next door so he asks you if you if he can and you’d nod your head frantically because the way his cock throbs inside you as he comes makes you think that your hole was made for him.
N = No (something they wouldn’t do, turn offs)
He kind of likes spanking you but caning is just a no-go.
O = Oral (preference in giving or receiving, skill, etc.)
Did you expect this? He prefers giving. I mean, come on, he solely relied on porn clips which are far from real sex and his performance was just a little below average before so he likes to think that giving the best oral to his current partner is an apology to what his previous partner/s had/have suffered but this doesn’t mean he thinks of someone else during sex. It’s just that… Fuck it, that’s it. He prefers giving.
P = Pace (are they fast and rough? slow and sensual? etc.)
This depends on the mood and occasion. I mean, I personally think people have the other side hidden in their deepest desires, they just didn’t find the person to be with yet but in you and Kita’s case, you communicate very well. You want him to go hard and fast? He’d say okay. You want to be slow and sensual? He’d start off with a sweet and passionate kiss.
Q = Quickie (their opinions on quickies, how often, etc.)
He thinks it’s convenient and risky but hot. You guys don’t do this often though because what’s worse than getting horny in public and Kita locking you in a cubicle to calm yourself down because he suspected this would just be a wholesome date? But you have sex every once in a while, in their backyard garden and that was wonderful.
R = Risk (are they game to experiment? do they take risks? etc.)
He doesn’t usually ride with you whenever you suggest something in the sexual aspect because he sticks to what he knows and he only believes that certain things are possible when a witness or trusted articles support the claims. You’d think he just doesn’t want to do things with you but he’s actually considering your likes and dislikes. He, for sure, knows what you’d like and dislike because he closely keeps an eye on you.
S = Stamina (how many rounds can they go for? how long do they last?)
He can go for two to four rounds in average. How long it lasts usually depends on you because he knows he can handle himself well, thrusting into you nonstop.
T = Toys (do they own toys? do they use them? on a partner or themselves?)
He doesn’t like toys and doesn’t understand why it doesn’t make him feel things like how they described it to be in the articles he had read before when you guys tried toys but you insisted in giving him a cock ring just in case he wants to wait for you to call back when he masturbates.
U = Unfair (how much they like to tease)
Kita usually doesn’t tease you although he’s already kind of teasing you when he compliments you during sex but he does once in a while. He’d delay your orgasm as much as he can control himself not to ram into you faster and harder when he knows your horniness is out of the meter and whenever he senses you want some kind of teasing. How he knows when you’re like that? He says that’s his sixth sense.
V = Volume (how loud they are, what sounds they make, etc.)
Kita Shinsuke never fails to let out a loud moan when he comes, it’s literally the best thing you heard from him. It’s hot and deep just like how his dick is inside you. If he was going rough, you’d probably hear more of those moans, every spurt of cum from his dick makes him emit more of his beautiful sound.
W = Wild card (a random headcanon for the character)
He sleeps naked. Send tweet.
X = X-ray (let’s see what’s going on under those clothes)
His dick is so pink and pretty ─ the best shades of nude and rose, I’m not even kidding. He takes care of his body so much and you both take care of his dick. A six-inch dick is good enough, no? his biceps are everything, arms so strong he can fuck you standing for a long time.
Y = Yearning (how high is their sex drive?)
His sex drive is on the average level. He’d have sex with you if you want to, you’d have sex with him if he wants to because somehow, your desires always match so it’s like your minds are saying you want to have sex… at the same time.
Z = Zzz (how quickly they fall asleep afterwards)
As the king of aftercare, he only sleeps when you're taken care of already, when you're neatly tucked against him. Letting his lips curve into a smile, he can only then go to sleep.

The Promised Neverland is kind of really good, actually?  I mean, yeah, I’m late to the party as usual, but I just binged the first season of the anime, and then the manga from that point on (the site I was on didn’t have any of the second season, but apparently it diverges from the comic and gets bad anyway, so maybe just read the comic to begin with).  And, I mean, spoilers, obviously, but I’m going to get into some extremely major spoilers here so if you haven’t read it or if you’ve only seen the first season of the anime maybe skip this post and read the manga, but...
...
I’ve tried and failed to write a big long post about all the ways it’s so good, how the main three characters are each so compelling, how its pitch dark but not cynical or misanthropic, with mortal stakes but not gore-porny, positive and optimistic without being trite or naïve, how choosing Emma out of the main three to be the primary protagonist and viewpoint character keeps the story from becoming a masculine militaristic power fantasy, how the antagonists are treated as characters and not just monsters - even the ones that are literal monsters, about how the story never supports or glorifies the idea of sacrificing the weak so that the strong can survive, about how empathy and understanding and a chance for peace are extended to every single villain without putting a burden to forgive on victims and without ignoring the need to fight those who refuse the offer of peace and uphold the status quo, how the story opposes oppressive hierarchies at every turn - not just those the monsters use to control the human children at the farms, but also how the monster elites use access to human meat to controller the lower social classes of monster society, and even to an extent within the human resistance.
But there’s just way too much to talk about to get it all into one big giant post, and I don’t have the stamina for a big extended ongoing project right now - or else I’d return to one of the like 12 I have on hold.
But, like, to pick just one thing....
ok, so eventually we learn what the monsters are and why they eat people.  They’re a weird sort of organism that can temporarily take on the characteristics of things they eat.  Eat a bird and grow wings, eat a bug and grow an exoskeleton, eat a human and gain a humanoid body and the intelligence to become self aware, learn language, form societies - for a while.  But if they go too long without eating people, then they lose their minds and revert to a bestial form.  In order to save the humans, the resistance leader Minerva plans to wipe out the monster society altogether.  After all, they literally have to eat humans to continue being people, there is no possibility of peace.
Protagonist Emma, though, has seen not just the horrific human farms and their cruel and corrupt rulers, but also their towns and settlements, their families and children.  She was even saved at one point shortly after her escape by friendly monsters who opposed the farm system, and even though it seems impossible, she wants to save both the humans and the monsters.
A more typical show, at least among those with premises as dark as The Promised Neverland, wouldn’t take Emma’s side in this.  She would be forced to ‘grow up’ and face the fact that she can’t save everyone.  Her naivety would get someone killed to break her heart and teach her to be hard and cruel as if those things are virtues.  Or, more likely, she wouldn’t be the viewpoint character to begin with, she’d be a side character whose ideals would get herself killed in order to elevate the male characters’ angst and justify their violence.  Either way, the message would be “Emma’s ideals were unrealistic and could never survive contact with the harsh reality of the world.”
TPN instead takes Emma’s Side.  She finds monsters who maintain a humanoid body and intelligence without eating humans, and they’re able to spread that trait to the rest of monster society while the humans all escape to the human world.  Now, as much as I don’t like the grimdark ‘there is no peaceful option’ hypothetical version of the story, this development could have been handled pretty badly.  Like, just reading it like that, it sounds like the story raised a big moral dilemma and then chickened out of it.  But that’s really not how it comes off while you’re reading it, for a couple reasons.
First of all, Emma meets the non-human-eating monsters early in the story, long before we get the explanation of how monsters in general work.  So by the time we learn that the monsters must eat humans to maintain their self identity, the audience already knows that there are exceptions and that an alternative exists.  The story never sets this up to be a moral dilemma in the first place, so when the issue is bypassed it doesn’t feel like it’s undercut itself.
More importantly, though, is the thematic & metaphorical content.  Because the monster society is a pretty explicit metaphor for unjust human societies, and monsters represent the people who make up such societies.  Not just the aristocrats who benefit from the unjust society, or those who directly enforce and uphold it, but also regular people.  People insulated just enough from the suffering and death that their lives are built on that they can turn a blind eye to it, but aware enough of their complicity in that suffering that they construct excuses to justify their part in it, and by proxy excuse those at the top who actually benefit from and shaped the society as it is.  People living lives simultaneously just comfortable enough to keep them docile, but precarious enough that they’re too caught up with struggling to maintain the tenuous grasp on the lives they have to feel like they can work towards anything better.  Monster society in TPN is a cage built out of the corpses of humans cattle, but built to imprison and enslave the monster civilians who eat them.
Hanging the story on the fantastical element of monster biology would divorce it from that essential metaphor while also endorsing an outright genocidal worldview, and TPN explicitly calls out the plan to wipe out the monsters altogether as just that - genocidal.  It never even pretends to entertain the notion that the audience should accept that plan as the right choice, even while it doesn’t condemn Minerva for pursuing it. When Emma is proposing her plan to Minerva, the deal she strikes with him is ‘I will try to make my peaceful solution happen, and if I succeed then you cancel your plan to wipe out the monsters’.  Minerva is eventually shown to be lying when he makes that agreement, but Emma isn’t, and note the if there.  If Emma’s plan fails, then she - and thus the narrative - accepts that Minerva’s plan to save the children is still better than leaving things as they are, even if it means wiping out all the monsters.  After all, the society IS monstrously unjust, and even the lower classes within that society ARE complicit in that injustice.
Minerva’s problem isn’t even presented as a matter of him hating the monsters too much to see a route to peace with them.  The story doesn’t frame the conflict between Minerva’s and Emma’s plans as hate vs. love or revenge vs. forgiveness.  It’s instead more of ‘hierarchy and division bad, mutualism/openness/relying on each other good’.  The point is to show how Minerva’s role as a figurehead who believes he has to project strength to uphold the hope that the other humans have placed in him has worn away his ability to rely on others or to be open to alternatives they offer, leaving him with rigid and inflexible thinking.
So when Minerva learns about the monsters who don’t need to eat humans, he doesn’t see an opportunity for a better outcome - potentially even an easier outcome since he doesn’t have to make enemies of the entirety of monster society - rather he sees a threat to his plan to starve the monsters back into an animalistic state.
And if that whole subplot isn’t explicit enough, Minerva’s internalized need to project strength also results in his physical body wasting away in secret from a condition he believes to be untreatable, but the moment he finally breaks down and admits he needs help Emma is able to point to a solution, one that again doesn’t come across as a cop out because again it takes the form of another character the audience was already introduced to a long time ago.
In a story arc that the second season of the anime adaptation apparently cut entirely, wow the more I hear about anime season 2 the worse it sounds.  And after the first season was so good....
...
Anyway, I tried to pick just one thing and this post still turned into a colossal gushing word cascade, and there are so many other elements to talk about.  Like how The ‘Mothers’ and ‘Sisters’ are menacing villains with seemingly no empathy for the children, but when Sister Krona realizes she’s lost the power struggle with Isabella she leaves the kids tools to help them, and then when Mother Isabella realizes the children have escaped, she covers up the route they used in order to buy them a little extra time to get away.  It’s these little touches - just as much as the short backstories that follow them - that show us how, while they might uphold the system out of fear for their own lives, and might have rationalize their part in it in order to live with the horrible things they’re doing, the mothers and sisters don’t actually hate the children.  Knowing that makes it believable when in the end Isabella does turn on the system, and every single one of the other mothers and sisters join her.
The bit when the fighting is mostly over and she tells the Mother at the house “it’s over, now we can just love them” and the other woman breaks down crying is so sad and human, it makes me tear up thinking about it..
Like I said, all the villains are characters, not just monsters.  They all have motivations for the horrific things they do - sometimes irrational, often selfish, but not even the most unforgivable of the monsters are just evil for evil’s sake.
Again, I’m rambling.  It’s just...  I’m used to these sorts of pitch dark dystopias being, for lack of a better term, kinda fashy in their messaging?  Or at the very least deeply cynical and misanthropic and just kind of mean spirited.  And TPN is so completely the opposite of that, in so many ways.

i'm tme myself so take this with a grain of salt but part of the issue here i think with the confusion and drama around "tme/tma" and "terves only affect trans women" on here is that tme people read these things and take them in the most literal sense possible, and i know a lot of tumblr users are autistic (myself included) and that's like...a hallmark trait of autism, but it's very much a transmisogyny/tme thing to not give trans women and transfem nb people making these statements the benefit of the doubt, to wilfully misinterpret transrems, or not doing any intellectual legwork yourself to investigate what exactly these things mean in a broader sense rather than relying on trans women and transfem nb people to hold your hand in explaining it.
like, i'm by no means someone who can definitively say what tme/tma mean, but i just see it as the most palatable attempt trans women and transfem nb people have made towards identifying whether other trans people are one of them or not, and other trans people communicating that as well voluntarily. regardless of the broken down meanings of the words in the acronyms themselves, tme essentially means "not a trans woman / transfem" and tma essentially means "not a trans woman / transfem." and that distinction is necessary because tme people benefit (some more than others) from transmisogyny. it's the same reason why the cis/trans dichotomy exists. every other method transfems have come up with to make this distinction has been stomped on and rendered "problematic" due to transmisogynistic motivations, such as "(c)asab terminology is just asking people about their genitalia" which comes with the implication that transfems are sexually predatory for distinguishing between transfems and tme trans people, "(c)asab terminology was stolen from intersex people" which is an outright lie that intersex transfems have debunked on this site multiple times over the years, and then the silly arguments over the usage of "transmasc" and "transfem" to distinguish between tme and tma trans people. all of it boils down to not wanting transfems to have language that describes their experiences...which is transmisogynistic.
and even if a transfem says "tme people aren't affected by transmisogyny" definitively, the assumption shouldn't be made that they're completely unaware of or in denial about how people who aren't transfem sometimes get mistaken for such, or the ways in which the logic of transmisogyny often bleeds into other forms of bigotry (general misogyny, racism, intersexism, homophobia, anti-effeminacy), but more that like...if you're not a trans woman or transfem nb person, you do not...navigate and interact with the world as a trans woman or transfem nb person would (which doesn't mean having to be seen as one by others - closeted and stealth transfems still have to grapple with various forms of transmisogyny). i've noticed a lot of tme people who take issue with "tma" mostly cite things like public harassment from strangers when it comes to how they're "affected by transmisogyny," but chalking up being "tma" to public harassment shows just how little these people have bothered to pay attention to transfems talking about their lives and experiences as transfems, as subjects of transmisogyny.
it may seem like circular logic but it seems like that because the ways in which transfems can navigate and interact with the world in relation to their transfemininity are so complex and diverse that listing them all out would take forever. it is pretty much safe to assume that if you're not a trans woman or transfem nb person, then you don't navigate and interact with the world as one, and therefore you're tme / not tma. just like it's safe to assume that straight people don't navigate and interact with the world as a gay/bi person even if they get mistaken as one. i'm not gonna ask transfems to be more specific in these posts or statements, and other tme people shouldn't either, because that's insensitive at best and tone-policing / derailing at worst.
when it comes to "terves only affect trans women," there has been significant detraction from the fact that terves are a hate group founded on transmisogyny over the years i've been on this site. things totally unrelated to transmisogyny have become considered apart of terves' ideology somehow, and it mostly seems like a cheap "gotcha" attempt at making certain beliefs "problematic" instead of actually explaining what makes said beliefs incorrect and harmful. yeah, terves harm more than just transfems, but their beliefs are predicated on viewing transfemininity as the most extreme evil out of anything else they rail against, and this is why the smallest demographic in their communities are transfems, if they're even present at all. some terves are transphobic against transmascs, yes, but there are also plenty of transmasc terves. some terves regigurgitate homophobic beliefs against gay and bi men, yes, but there are even plenty of gay/bi male terves, both trans and cis. acting like "terves" and these groups are diametrically opposed, even if alliances with terves would be self-defeating in any way, going "terves also harm [x group that isn't transfems]" without any acknowledgement that it's more than likely or even proven "terves" includes many members of that group, is ignoring the fact that what unites terves and their sympathizers is their shared transmisogynistic beliefs.
that isn't gonna stop anyone in these arguments from continuing them, of course, because at the end of the day this very much seems to be rooted in the transmisogyny these people hold that goes beyond these arguments and the vilification of transfemininity.

OK, I'LL TELL YOU YOU ABOUT OFFICIALS
One possibility is that this custom reflects the way investors like to collude when they can get away with hiring thugs to beat up union leaders today, but if I had to guess now, I'd predict three or four of the eight groups wouldn't be interested in making money by speculating in stocks. After Mr. You haven't seen someone's true colors unless you've worked with them on anything. What makes the answer appear is letting your thoughts drift. No one else, before or since, was that good when no one else is there. For the fine prose of the original, see the provisional application of February 1998, back when we were assembling our own computers to save money, we were trying to sell luggage and pens and men's shirts. You must resist this.
The simplest form of determination is sheer willfulness. And yet they can hold their own with any work of art ever made. What do they need to fix, especially for applications like games. Don't try to make them. I don't mean this in an insulting way—of the kind of productivity that's measured in lines of code: the best programmers can solve a given problem in a more ambitious way. What makes startups different is that usually it doesn't. That means two years later you'll be making $80k a month instead of $160k. So far, each new definition of it has brought us increasing material wealth. Since the Internet was the big new thing, investors supposed that the more willful you are, and together they cook up new projects of their own.
But I wouldn't be surprised if the market exists you can usually start by recruiting users manually and give them an overwhelmingly good experience—and the main benefit of treating startups as vectors will be to remind founders they need to work with someone to know whether you want them to start treating us like actual consultants, and calling us every time they wanted something changed on their site. Whatever you make, you have two options: work at home, or come in early or late or on a weekend, when no one was looking, and its effects have been largely masked so far. And with good reason. It's hard enough to make it. But also because, as I mentioned, a pretty bad judge of startups. This is an area where managers can make a difference. But you can and should give users an insanely great experience with an early, incomplete, buggy product, if you can make yourself stupid, you can, and then thinking of the answer in the shower in the morning. If you pay them to. And they were worth it. But consulting is far from free money. So a company that doesn't yet solve anyone's problems. So writing to persuade and writing to discover are diametrically opposed.
I'm told there are people who would disagree with this. I should have been thinking is this a good idea? But with the arrival of networks, it's as if we've moved to a planet with a breathable atmosphere. We put little weight on the idea, is simply to look the other person in the eye and say Really? We put cgi-bin in our dynamic urls to fool competitors about how our software worked. They'd seem very impressive. Don't take rejection personally. And what this means, as everyone who's had a regular job can tell you the most common proposal to be for multiplayer games.
And when we're talking about startups we think are likely to soon. Sam Altman, Trevor Blackwell has made a handy calculator you can use to find out would be to commute every day to a cubicle in some soulless office complex, and be told what to do if you are yourself a programmer, and one about what to do. Perhaps most convincingly, it would have seemed to nearly everyone that running off to the city officials. We're more confident. But fortunately there are still some countries that are not so harmless. Startups building things for other people, the stronger evidence they probably are of what you want to have them as colleagues, you have to work hard to maintain your relationship. Some startups could be entirely manual at first. Parents want you to be a nice way of saying they need someone to tell them why they should be funding grad students or even undergrads. We did that as an inside joke when we started YC. PR firms usually line up one or more experts to talk about the industry generally. We've had startups that were profitable on revenues of $3000 a month? Talks are also good at motivating me to do things that make you stupid, and if not it doesn't matter whether you fund them, because even if they didn't move.

My dudes wasabi Japanese is so cool this site is so cool literally my dream site ToT (thank u @yue-muffin for all those free reading links <3 which is what included wasabi Japanese)
I know what I’m doing after I finish reading Japanese in 30 Hours! (I might keep reading Reading Japanese for fun too just cause... I might as well we will See).
So like curse me if, when I say I will, it makes me not lol. I hope I DO actually do this. Because it sounds so much more clicks-with-me right now than my alternate study plan (which was Nukemarine memrise - which I WILL eventually do ToT I plan it ok, and tae Kim’s grammar guide - which I’m happy to replace with any grammar guide I’ll finish fucking reading tbh).
1. Remembered bilingualmanga exists and I am making no commitments to read anything (tho I have 4 mangas open and an urge to read them for the first time in years since I read yotsuba earlier and followed it). But I will say it’s quite cool I could um read and look words up (ditto for just regular iOS word lookup and Japanese scripts... I’d say ditto for Animelon too and I DO recommend it but I’m just not really an anime watcher).
2. Wasabi Japanese has a: a grammar guide. So my ass is gonna try reading it (in my defense it has audio which I find marginally nicer than the other sources I’ve been looking at... like I literally read Japanese in 30 Hours aloud audio helps me... also why I suspect in part Nukemarine’s decks help they make me listen a lot). https://www.wasabi-jpn.com/japanese-grammar/wasabis-online-japanese-grammar-reference/
3. Even better (to me) wasabi Japanese has b. A grammar drills lesson course that has you shadow and practice SENTENCE PATTERNS AND GRAMMAR. I was literally considering buying a Japanese shadowing textbook for just this purpose (but that textbook was random phrases whereas this is targeted sentence patterns). Also I learn best by just fucking seeing sentence patterns so I kind of suspect an activity like this would click with my brain better than actual grammar guide reading (tho grammar guide reading gives me a useful overview of what to start noticing). Like I literally own the book Japanese Sentence Patterns just cause it was the only thing that clicked... Bonuses about this lesson course wasabi Japanese has: it’s me Doing stuff, I learn best just Doing tbh (it’s why just brute force reading clicks well with me lol). And better, Doing stuff in a streamlined way so I can not bumble as long lol and I have reference if I’m confused (Also why I like graded readers). Info: https://www.wasabi-jpn.com/japanese-lessons/how-to-proceed-with-the-instantaneous-composition-method/ The lessons: https://www.wasabi-jpn.com/japanese-lessons/materials-for-japanese-lessons-intensive-reading/
4. Wasabi Japanese has lessons through stories, listening reading and shadowing. Phenomenal. Both the perfect chance to test if Listening Reading works some more (which I’m currently into), and to actually DO some things I wanna do like read and practice listening (versus Nukemarines memrise courses which are just flashcards, or playing Japanese video games which is... doable but too draining to be enjoyable or efficient yet). I’m excited. How to use: https://www.wasabi-jpn.com/japanese-lessons/japanese-lessons-how-to-proceed-with-read-aloud-method/ Actual lessons:. https://www.wasabi-jpn.com/japanese-lessons/fairy-tales-and-short-stories-with-easy-japanese/
5. Assuming you’re better at Japanese than me - wonderfully wasabi Japanese has a course I could use, right after finishing that last one, at a slightly more difficult level, with manga: https://www.wasabi-jpn.com/japanese-lessons/materials-for-japanese-lessons-intensive-reading/
6. Alternatively, want a different N3 course that’s radio program based? Here it is: https://www.wasabi-jpn.com/japanese-lessons/materials-for-japanese-lessons-read-aloud-method/ so yeah, wasabi Japanese looks like a quite nice alternative to flashcards or a textbook if a babe just wants to learn from stories with audio for a while ToT
7. Also I am again contemplating the benefit of just playing audio in the background more. Will I do it? I don’t know. I’d love to play SpoonFed Chinese audio, Japaneseaudiolessons, and Japanese core 2k audio on in the background. As it’s all comprehensible input I know I’d mostly pickup if I just heard it enough to Review it (whereas rn I just hear each audio file once ever on a walk then never again cause I have little time for focused audio only listening). But I feel bad when I play them in the bg and don’t fully listen ;-;. Ah the dilemma. Truly though they’d help so much if I played them in the background I know it... as of this month as an experiment since reading The Word Brain, I’ve been listening to SOME Chinese audio more. Specifically Guardians audiobook, a random Chinese hp audiobook, Alice in wonderland audiobook, silent reading audiobook. You would not believe how much it’s been noticeably helping. Usually it’s avenuex’s Guardian audiobook and every time I catch a bit of it casually in the bg while working, I’m blown away I understand clearly what I didn’t the time before. In particular I’m probably having the most improvements in this novels comprehension, since I’m Listen Reading Method with it too. But like... the first time I focused listened to it during L R? I caught everything with difficulty during the only-chinese audio but English text step 3. And then listening alone only caught the main story beats/scenes (which was already a major improvement for me). Now when working I can actually catch the paragraphs about Guo Changcheng’s family, his uncle, going to McDonald’s - these are details I very specifically remember being the ones I could NOT catch doing listening only the first time post L R. So after idk 3-6 listening of this chapter, just listening again in the background (since L R takes too much time I’m lazy I only do L R once), I’ve made this much progress. I only saw the full definition of everything ONCE one time during L R step 3 once. But just listening more I catch more and more. And of course, as I catch more the unclear parts become easier and easier to maybe figure out. All I know is I severely underestimated the benefit of repeated listening - at least when (at one point once) you comprehended the material. So considering this... I think now with hindsight, yes listening to condensed audio of a show or just a show, that you’ve seen before with English subs/dual subs/in target language and looked unknown words up, in the background probably could help. If at one point you comprehended it before. (So for me Guardian cdrama is hella on this list lol). With hindsight yeah, repeated audio of an audiobook chapter or audio drama you followed the target language subs for before, or that you could read but not hear alone, would probably help listening skills. Definitely my audio flashcard files where they’re literally Built to be comprehensible since it’s English then target language each line. So... yeah in hindsight more audio, even background audio, can help. Guarantee when I’m not L R with the guardian audiobook I’m barely even listening. And still I find myself catching parts of it.
8. My roommate got too excited about Final Fantasy 14 and informed me it’s free to play now.. which I didn’t know. So of course I foolishly looked up if I could play it in Japanese on a PlayStation and looks like answer is probably yes and I am sorely tempted...
9. It’s gonna be wild for me looking back on may progress at the end of the month because: I did almost nothing I planned, I got demotivated then intensely motivated, I’ve done a ton ToT, I also did a ton of Japanese immersion which?? I’m not even counting?? I don’t track my Japanese immersion yet because like... it’s not my priority right now. I read a ton of manhua the other day and just forgot to log it. I watched some of the woh concert and just did not count it, I read a surprising amount of Japanese this month for someone “not studying it much” yet (aka maybe more than I read last time I studied Japanese??). I did a lot of L R method I didn’t even track, I did a ton of background listening and I’m not tracking just hoping for the best. Did I finish 小王子 this month or last month? Whatever month that was I read like 4 Chinese books. I just remembered I read like 3 Japanese graded readers but didn’t count them cause they felt too simple to count (only 28 pages each). I watched 10 Cure Dolly Japanese grammar vids tho not sure how much help it is long term. Whatever time I did the Japanese video games had to count for something even tho it was draining af. Anyway my point is just... count on me to not do what I planned but be more productive when I do that. All that said: I’m more productive when I set plans even if they aren’t always followed, so I’ll keep making them lol. I think I just needed to hit that turning point of “do anything you want, just continue to do something” instead of “complete this first!” (Although I’m still aiming to complete things - or at least go for progressively challenging things). I dunno... I want to say I want to consider just trying to finish things imperfectly just finish them (to motivate me to finish my Hanzi books, Japanese books, courses I find). But knowing me.. I have no idea what will get me to keep going. Just need to remember it’s ok to do it imperfectly. Just need to remember to place what I will care about and actually do, as priority over what it is I think “must be fully done.”
