I just had a thought while cleaning my AirPods.

We all know Matt uses headphones so he can like listen to audio files and everything he needs to have read out for him because obviously he can’t read Braille on a laptop or any other digital device. And of course, there are the interrogation tapes and everything. We know he uses wired headphones. Period.

I just had the weirdest scenario with him in my mind. I imagined gifting him AirPods because you know, I love my AirPods (or anything that doesn’t have wires because I once accidentally almost choked myself to death when I fell asleep with wired headphones, and I fall victim to Apple’s marketing strategies all the time, but that’s not the point). I think gifting him AirPods would go terribly wrong and there is a reason he uses wired headphones (and not switches from wired to wireless).

They. Get. Lost.

Like, seriously, I lose them all the fucking time. They either fall behind the mattress or my case opens in my bag and they fall out. I find them in the most random places. Matt is blind. He would not find his AirPods until he like accidentally steps on them and then you have $150 damage. That’s not something you’d want.

Although every iPhone user has the ‘Find My’ function and it could help him (I know he uses Android in the show, but let’s not get into detail about the kind of phones our man uses. I said AirPods, let’s just make it wireless headphones instead).

He’d lose them and he wouldn’t fucking find them again. And then his s/o or Foggy or someone else would be like: “Well, why don’t you use the ‘find my’ function to make them make that sound to find them.” And he’d just get the worst headache because it’s way too shrill for someone with his senses. I mean, he’d probably find them, but he’d bump into a million different things along the way, and maybe they’re actually stuck somewhere he can’t reach because y’know he’s blind after all.

And his s/o or if I were the one who gave the wireless headphones to him would just be like:

Honestly, 1 day into having them he’d just be like, “I want my wired headphones back 😭” and throw the wireless ones out somewhere far, far away.

Just a thought. It’s not even particularly funny, I just like to share things no one’s ever asked for.

cyn share ur studying tips with the class 🥺🙏 studying is NOT my forte bc none of the techniques our teachers try and get us to use workkk 😭 i literally js quiz myself & occasionallyyyy read through my notes PFFT but it works!!!

omg my #1 tip is ignore what the teachers say because idk ab other people but not ONCE has a teacher’s method ever actually worked for me 😭😭😭 they’re always super convoluted for no good reason like it’s not that deep babe… quizzing yourself is very very good idk if you have past papers in america but if you do USE THOSE!!!!! i can’t stress the importance of past papers because sometimes you know all the content rly well but still get bad grades because you don’t know how to apply it/don’t know exam technique well enough/read the questions wrong since you aren’t used to them etc etc… try to have some form of active recall in your studying as well so like instead of just reading thru your notes try reading then blurt out everything you remember on a whiteboard or a spare piece of paper n fill in the blanks!!!! i personally like making flashcards because i have the worst memory and only remember things if i write them down myself 😭 i also like to write my own notes at home after class because wording things in my own way really helps me remember them too 😋 that’s off the top of my head but also just what personally works for me !! don’t be afraid to experiment n find what works best depending on how you learn:) hope this helped 💘💘

I’m fairly ambivalent on Jily as a whole (most of my interest in the Marauders-era is for Sirius), but I have to admit, I kind of like the idea that James starts dating Lily and once it’s clear it’s serious and important to the both of them, Sirius just welcomes Lily into their group, into Sirius’s family (nobody can convince me Sirius didn’t use his friends as his family, especially once he left Grimmauld and got disowned). If James loves her and she loves James, then she’s family and Sirius will welcome her with open arms. Plus, I headcanon Lily as the kind of person who gets real snarky when she’s comfortable with someone and Sirius, frequently described as haughty and arrogant and who has the vibe of another snarky and sharp-tongued character, adores having a partner is snark; RIP anyone who gets on both of their bad sides, verbal evisceration is an understatement for what happens to them. Also, it’s funny to imagine that Sirius likes to aggravate James by saying Lily is his favorite Potter once they marry, because he’s just like that, even though everyone knows James is his absolute favorite person (I saw someone else say that, but Tumblr’s search function is terrible and I can’t find it anymore, hopefully I’ll find it soon). Plus, he and Lily both understand the whole “my sibling is a horrible person, they hate me, but I can’t help but love them regardless, because for years we were each other’s closest friends and I will never be able to forget all our history” thing, which is something the others, as only children, can never truly understand. But anyways, I just really like to think that once Sirius knows the Jily relationship is important to James and Lily, and James won’t get his heart shattered, he’s immediately accepting Lily into their little group. Biggest surprise at Hogwarts was when other students saw Sirius and Lily talking in Seventh Year because Sirius only really talks to James, Remus, and Peter; there’s the time some other kid insulted Lily and it turns out Sirius has a unique ability to tear someone apart with words alone and without ever raising his voice

dude, the way we’re literally on the same wavelength with this. i’ve talked about this in a couple older posts before, but i genuinely think s & l are so similar (and i have a very barebones prongsfoot fic in my drafts where j&s never meet and sirius is best friend w lily based off this exact assumption) and once they get let all the the awkwardness and problems, they’d be really good friends ykno? (it’s another reason why a triad works but not a s/l couple which is a random tangent lol)

and like. yeah. lily is accepted into sirius’ inner circle (lol) but imo, that only happens after he’s fully confirmed that she’s not here to hurt his james. that is the most important bit. i’ve kinda included this in shovel talk but i feel like, as canon stands, sirius would put her thru the wringer to make sure she’s good enough before he fully accepts her. and once he does, he’s all in. no questions asked.

and of course, james is in heaven. his two favourite people ever getting baking as well as they do, sometimes at the expense of his own self? he can’t be happier.

oh yes you were at court! i forgot that was at the start of that post lmao. i've been to court twice when i was super young for drinking underage and then smoking lool it was so boring and long and shit but thankfully you were just there for moral support, i hope it wasen't such a bad thing your friend had to deal with! I remember seeing you post about moving but i forget if it was TO or AWAY from your parents but that clears it up. I totally get you on that though, i'm living at home right now and i feel kind of similar about not feeling comfortable in your own home. Its a bit different for me, but similar enough. Hell my stepdad even sleeps in the living room too! hes always done that so ive always felt like i had to be on eggshells when night time hit. I used to sneak smoking in the backyard back in the day myself, i got caught once when i was in highschool he made me throw all my pieces out which sucked big time. ahhh i love that, art! you should totally show more stuff on here too, at least if you're comfortable and its not stuff you'd wanna sell, i would absolutely love to see any of it 🖤i've dabbled in writing poems and things i planned to make songs, although only recently.
