You loved being a full-time influencer, from building a platform on all your socials to getting really hot deals, getting invited on brand trips, and having big sponsors.

So imagine your surprise when your talent agency called you to let you know that @Lifestyle would pay an all expenses trip.

For you to go to the Super Bowl, and all you had to do was flim a full lent vlog and make short forms videos, the best part wasn't it being it fully paid but you getting to invite a plus one.

This was a lifetime opportunity for you, because an all paid trips, you get to invite someone, watch both Kendrick and Sza perform at the Super Bowl half time, and get to have a good time. You loved the amazing opportunities your job brings for you.

You already had a plus one in mind, your girlfriend juju, but it only depends if she was available.

Being a full-time college athlete was no joke. Practice how many times in a week, then game days on top of that, her brands endorsement.

But trying to ask her wouldn't hurt as long as it doesn't kill you.

Later that night when you guys were on facetime, you made it your mission to ask her.

"You're thinking a lot."you heard her say from the phone.

Someone was hammering on your door in the middle of the night, and they just didn’t stop. You’ve been trying to ignore it for the past minutes, but the sound only got louder.

Thud thud thud

“Ahhhh which fucker is it?!” In the end, you gave in and cursed, stomping to the front door before opening a small crack. “What is-” to your surprise you knew the person behind the door, it was fyodor, your boyfriend. “Huh?? Fedya? Why didn’t you use the bell?” You immediately swung the door open and invited him in, he gave you a bashful smile before entering. Then you shut the door behind him.

“You see…” he said, while he let his coat slip from his shoulders, revealing his hands which were bound tightly behind his back. “It proved to be pretty difficult to ring the bell three times, so I thought kicking the door would suffice.” That was the secret code you two agreed on, so that you’d know if it was him who’s standing on your doorway. “Ah…” you stared at his restricted limps, then at him, giving him a questioning glance. He didn’t provide any explanation or answers.

The male turned around to face you, who were still standing next to the door. “Well? Aren’t you going to help me?” He rushed you, but kept his soft smile. “Actually no, not yet.” You replied, crossing your arms in font of your chest. That attitude, were you mad with him? “…y/n, what do you want.” Finally he dropped the good-guy act, seemingly irritated by your behaviour. Normally you’d help without being this difficult, except when you aren’t in a good mood, something that seems to be the case here.

You walked past him and sat down on the couch, making yourself comfortable before saying, “bring me the remote.” Fyodor looked a tad baffled, though he didn’t think too much about it and walked to the shelf to the left of you, pondering for a moment on how to grab it, before using his mouth to bite the object. Then he brought it to you like an obedient puppy, right into your hand and cheeks flushed a bright shade of red. “Good job.” You praised him, scratching the underside of his chin a bit, intensifying his blush.

“Now bring me a scissor to cut those ropes. You can find it in the kitchen.” He glared at you when you didn’t stop ordering him around, especially since he found his actions pretty shameful. Nevertheless, he bit back his complains and went to the other room to get whatever you wanted. Once he found the scissor, he bit the handle of the tool, and carefully got back to your side. “That took you a while.” You chuckled, to which he scoffed, “are you done with the games now?” How furious he sounded, he wasn’t having half the fun you had huh?

You tilted your head to the side, acting like you were thinking about it, then said, “one last thing.” Before giving him a big smile. The male rolled his eyes at that, at least internally. “Bring me a glass of water, that’s my last request, promise.” After you finished your sentence, you raised your pinky finger, then said, “ah silly me, you can’t reciprocate it after all.” Fyodor mumbled, “you are unbelievable.” Then he made his way back to the kitchen. What else was he supposed to do, he needed your help.

Through much resilience and great efforts, he managed to get a cup out of your shelves. And he even managed to fill it with tap water! Afterwards he bit the handle of the cup, finding that to be the easiest course of action, and slowly walked over to you. This was now his third time running a stupid errand for you, and he really hoped this would be the last. On his way back, he accidentally spilled the water in the cup all over himself and the floor, causing him to yelp a little, “hmmm..!”

You turned your head to the source of the noise, giggling at the sight but not helping him. His blush darkened even more, and he closed the last bit of distance between you two. Without any commentary, you took the cup and put it on the table, grabbing the scissors and cutting through his binds. He didn’t expect you to not make fun of him, so consider him grateful.

Though after you were done, you got up from your seat, grabbing his shoulders as you sneered, “gosh, fyodor, you couldn’t even bring me a glass of water?” Guess he jinxed it. Even though considering the circumstances he was in, failing his task was a very possible outcome, he still felt humiliated by your words, or at least embarrassed. He wanted to argue, to try and keep some shreds of dignity when you bested him to it, saying, “shouldn’t you get a punishment for that?”

“A punishment?” As soon as these words left his mouth, you pushed him into the couch and tickled him. Attacking his stomach while responding through a huge grin, “yep! A punishment you can’t evade!” “What- ha- ahaha.. no, wait haha…! Stop!” He laughed involuntarily, kicking his legs around and trying to peel your hands off his body. “Haha.. s-stop, hahh.. really, hahaha~ I can’t-!!” Tears were forming in the corners of his eyes already, his clothes and hair all disheveled. “Hehe.. alright, the punishment is over.” You eventually said, reaching out to his face to wipe his tears away.

As if hit by the realisation, he abruptly stopped smiling, still blushing furiously as he gasped for air. When he breathing calmed down, he pouted, then wrapped his arms around your neck as he gave you a quick kiss on the lips, “you-… you better make it up to me for being mean.”

• Teshiro’s really good at those pen spinning tricks, the other first-years pop off when he does it. He also has the best handwriting of the first-years and they borrow his notes before big tests. Lev's handwriting is borderline illegible— he claims its cause he's Russian but everyone calls him out on his bullshit ("Dude, your first language is Japanese??")

• Fukunaga carries around a slide whistle, when he's not on court he plays it every time someone dives for the ball

• Shibayama's the kinda guy to send buzzfeed quizes in the team groupchat and make everyone take them ("Dont you guys wanna know what cat breed you are?"). Most of the team groan but secretly find it endearing. Kuroo unabashadly loves it and commends Shibayama's team spirit

• None of the second-years are good students— Kenma spends class playing mobile games under his desk or napping, Tora doesn't listen but even if he did he wouldn't process anything, and Fukunaga's in his own little world 90% of the time. Kenma skates by with general smarts but Tora and Fukunaga are in the TRENCHES. Kuroo and Kai help tutor them when needed

• The whole team LOVES Akane, that's their cheer captain!! She gets along best with Fukunaga and Kenma because they're closest to Tora but I think she'd also vibe a lot with Yaku cause they have a similar sassy energy (and height but shh). All of them treat her like an absolute queen, mess with her and you got 10 guys knocking at your door

• Tora picks people up a lot, he just grabs them and throws them over his shoulders. The most common victims are the second years but also Shibayama since he's "bite-sized" as Tora so eloquently puts it. He tried it with Yaku a single time which did NOT go well, he hasn't again since

• When Hinata's in town to hang out with Kenma Inkuoka and Lev WILL find a way to crash it no matter what. The just happened to show up at the same arcade, what a conincidence!! Kenma gives them the death glare but unfortunately for him Hinata is more than happy to let them tag along

• Kai is generally really chill but when he yells he's louder than even Tora. The team finds this out at training camp when they're settling in for the night and the first years decide its a great time to have a pillow fight. One flies directly into a sleeping Kai's face. The other teams can hear the reprimanding through the walls (bro doesn't fuck around with his beauty rest)

• Sometimes they do video game nights at Kuroo's but Kenma is either straight-up banned or given severe handicaps. The one time he loses is during MarioKart when Kuroo starts waving his hands in front of his face and Kenma stops playing to wresting him away (he still manages to beat Tora somehow)

• Kuroo and Yaku argue all the time but if anyone else talks shit about them they hop to the other's defense immediately. You do not get away with making fun of Yaku's height unless you're Kuroo himself.

• Kuroo's the biggest fan of Fukunaga's jokes, as a fellow pun enthusiast he appreciates him keeping the court light-hearted. He laughs way too hard even when they're not that funny and sometimes fires a quip or two back. Also Kuroo's definetly the type to literally slap his knee when laughing

• (Ignore the awful picture quality) There's this scene from the Tokyo Battles stage play where Shibayama dances along with Akane and Alisa from the stands and it's the cutest thing ever i'm obsessed. Anyways I think he's the king of the bench cheerleaders, he teaches Teshiro and Inuoka all the little dances and chants

I cannot BUHlieve so many of the In Whichs are up here. I was really in the right place at the right time with the Mattfoggy fandom.

Do I respond to comments: God, I want to. I’m so bad at it. I try and answer a few a month at least. I read them all, though, and the emails always make me delighted. Someone dropped me a comment tonight asking if I had a link to a fettuccine alfredo recipe I referenced in my latest Stucky fic and it made my whole evening.

What has the most angst ridden ending?: Probably absolute power? I don’t do a lot of unhappy endings- I like to at least end on a hopeful note.

What has the happiest ending: Uhhhhhh fuck. Almost all my fics have happy endings. I’m gonna say Revenant, because theirs feels the most earned.

Have I received hate?: I mean. Define hate, I guess? I’ve had people be shitty to me for sure. But they’re mostly just rude and entitled. Nobody’s ever denigrated me as a person for my work.

Do I write smut? If so, what kind?: Smut is just not in my wheelhouse, I’m afraid.

Do I write crossovers?: Very rarely. I wrote a Good Omens/Dirk Gently crossover and I wrote a Dirk Gently/Discworld crossover. I think that’s it. I do have an AU where Steve Rogers and Diana of Themiscyra are bros kicking around, but I don’t think I’m actually going to do anything with it. It’s mostly a layout and vibes.

Have I ever had a fic stolen?: Not that I’m aware of, but I don’t actually read much fic these days, so it’s entirely possible somebody has and I just haven’t seen it.

Have I ever had a fic translated?: Yes, several! Podficced as well. It’s always a delight.

Have I ever co written a fic?: nearly every Dirk Gently fic I wrote I co wrote with @princessparadoxical. Between published fic and unpublished layouts and notes for fic, we wrote about 500,000 words for Dirk Gently.

A WIP I’ll never finish: Claireverse. Absolutely Claireverse. Every other WIP in my arsenal, I entertain ideas of getting it finished, but Claireverse is never happening.

Writing strengths: Definitely dialogue. Dialogue is one of the things I do really well. I also think I’m moderately good at getting a character voice right.

Writing weaknesses: ACTION SCENES. There’s a reason @punkpuppydragon wrote all the action scenes in Revenant.

Do I like foreign language dialogue: It’s got a time and a place. I use it when I think it’s necessary, but I always provide translations.

First fandom I wrote for: it’s gotta be Star Wars. like, I can’t PROVE that it was Star Wars, I don’t remember what my first fic was, but the odds are EXTREMELY high that it was Star Wars.

Favorite fic I’ve written: This is kinda cheating, but to me the main arc of Revenant is One Story. I can’t really disentangle one from the other. So I’m gonna say the main arc of Revenant. It’s the hardest I’ve ever worked on anything, potentially including my masters.

LOW AND FUCKING BEHOLD IT WAS LUCAS. MY SON MY BOY MY BOY MY SON. I FUCKING LOVE LUCAS HE MEANS SO MUCH TO ME. But he doesn't have the most content ever and he's barely even existent in Yokai watch 3 (I don't even think he's IN Yokai Watch 4 which is kinda insane to be tbh) and those are the most recent games I've played so like I kinda just forgot about him. i dont see the point of tagging a long poat just to say you dont like the game but... some of your points are pretty nonsensical. the gameplay loop is pretty standard for a big chunk of jrpgs, its nothing unique to xenoblade. being "given the main quest and you follow it" is kinda just how most games work, actually. its not the worlds most finely crafted game, not even in the top 1000, but some of your issues with it make it sound like maybe you just dont like jrpgs.

First of all because I do what I want. I am allowed to tag a long post to talk shit about a game I didn't like because it is inherent about the game and the tag, just like you are allowed to send this ask because you didn't like it, and just like I am allowed to respond to it, that's how social media works, you express your opinion and others give you theirs. I see that I didn't explain me well. While it's true that in jrpgs the main quests succeed one another, most of the times there is a sense of novelty to them. Look at Paper Mario and The Thousands Years Door (also classified as a jrpg), every battle is kind of different, there are different enemies with different mechanics to kill them, that you are forced to learn unless you wanna jump on a spiky enemy and take more damage than you do, and the locations are all different and have different puzzles that make you use the moves you have just learned and it makes it fun to progress in the story. Meanwhile in xenoblade the main quests are "go there, kill the thing/get the object while killing the thing, do the same things until you get to the boss, kill the boss, repeat" tell me that I am wrong at least until chapter 7. The locations in xenoblade are so anonymous, there aren't many things that distinguish them, maybe a building, maybe the enemies that roam there, but other than that it's windows wallpaper. There is no sense of wonder in playing it, and there is no difficulty in doing so, so why play it? I got to the point I no longer care much about the story, as much as it could be well written (even if as of now the characters are two-dimensional and the story prefers to tell you how they act rather than showing it). I remember from my previous walkthrough that I got to a point where the enemies were too powerful to go against, and I couldn't go back for some reason to farm a bit more, so it's even easy to softlock yourself if you don't know exactly what happens next. The fact that these flaws are common doesn't make it okay for a game to have them, especially such a big title that it got three games and two characters in smash bros, one of which is dlc.
