I want a Danny who wants to live. I want him running from the heroic stint he was forced into just trying desperately to live an average normal life not haunted by his parents or their great big portal fuck up.

I was his ghost form, as he starts to hate it and transforms less and less, to become more and more monstrous to fit the image of what it means that he's constructed in his head. More grotesque, and reminiscent of his death. His right arm permanently shriveled in a grim reminder of the incident that Kickstarted his stress filled teenage career.

I want a Danny that hates Batman, and Superman and Green Arrow, and Aquaman, and all the other heroes out there with kid sidekicks. He despises them for bringing more kids into this, letting them get so cemented into that way of life that they never even have time to concider any other career path than being responsible for everyone else's fuck ups.

I don't want himself scared of his past, I want him mad at it. Completely fucking outraged that as a fourteen year old who had just fucking died, he was let and even encouraged to take on the weight of responsibility for an entire town to the detriment of his social and educational wellbeing.

I want him to be a tragedy.

I don't entirely know what all to talk about I have so much to say tbh...

I guess I'll start with Barbara and Duke also switch. Barbara fights in the dayshift since she had school and Duke uses his powers to prowl through technology and be the all seeing eyes they need.

Jason's young justice team consists of him, Artemis, Kara and Jesse.

Tim cannot be a vigilante after being JJ but he's in therapy and coping with it

This is Damian at his best he is thriving. If he is the oldest that gets rid of like 80% of his insecurities.

Jason will still die.

Tim and damian get along really well- actually. Tim was batboy fan #1 and Damian loves to get his ego pat.

Dick has a much larger support system this time around so when he wants to go kill zucco there's a line of people being like "Okay, Let's figure this out correctly"

Dick and Bruce's father and son bond will be significantly healthier since Bruce actually knows what he's doing this time

Damian was the practice pancake and it goes...reasonably well.

Also Damian will be enormous. He's huge and handsome and has Talias eyes.

Coby is disgusted by way marines are run

He has a “THIS ISNT JUSTICE” Revelation like in Marineford, but on a smaller scale. He sees how thin Zoro is, from being starved and crucified for saving a young, and how happy the people are now that Axe Hand is gone and is like - this isn’t the justice I wanted.

“I want to catch criminals, not harm innocent people.”

Coby starts thinking about his new companions and thinks Luffy’s rough and luffs feral, but he hasn’t hurt anyone. Axe Hand Morgan and his son have.

So Coby follows Luffy and Zoro into the great unknown.

He’s not entirely sure he wants to be a pirate however. Unlike everyone else he does have a moral compass.

“I don’t think I want to be a pirate.” He says after watching Zoro keep calling Luffy Captain.

 “Then be a bounty hunter? Go after whomever you want” – Zoro, who does not give a shit about Coby’s internal crisis, but wants to support him.

⁃Coby: “Huh. Okay”

⁃Cue nights where cobys just thinking about his future as he drifts in the waves with Zoro and Luffy being dumb idiots together and just heading for their dreams

HE doesn’t know if he wants to be a bounty hunter, because how can he tell which bounties are for genuine crimes and which are for people the government wants to kill?

Potential other au lmao coby becomes a bounty hunter

⁃At orange town, he panics at Buggy and hides - he doesn’t know how to fight, but he does get the key from chouchou the dog. He’s helping, in his own way.

⁃Zoro sees this and is like “NO. You need to learn how to fight cmon we’ll teach you.” Like Luffy, he has an aversion to people who cant stand up for themselves, but he likes Coby so he’s gonna help.

⁃So Zoro and Luffy tag team each other and teach coby how to fight. He learns a weird mix of swordsman ship and punching that really don’t go together, but its better than what he had.  

⁃In the meantime, Coby keeps on seeing all the places the marines dont reach and keeps losing his faith in the system. He starts wondering why the Marines are hailed as this awesome force when really a lot of the times they just abuse their power or do nothing to help people.

⁃At Syrup, he helps get Kaya to safety with Usopp, still unwilling to fight, but starting to regain his resolve to do something – to reclaim a dream thought lost.

⁃Coby’s disgusted at the Fullbuster guy on the Baratie and punches him. 

⁃“YOUR FIRST CRIME!” Luffy says, cheerfully. The chefs applaud. Go Coby.

⁃Now, Coby isn’t advancing as fast in training, because one, luffy and zoro (and Sanji, eventually) aren’t Garp, and two, he doesn’t have that drive anymore. Why does he want to be a Marine who punishes justice?

⁃But when Arlong shows up Coby figures out his new dream. He knows what he is going to do.

⁃“I’m gonna take down the Marines - they can’t be this corrupt forever, and how many people are just innocent people? I want to give the world justice again!”

Luffy doesn’t really care about anybody else, innocent or not, unless his crew cares, but Coby cares. He’s not a pirate, but maybe if the law isn’t right, being free to do as he wish shouldn’t incriminate him?

⁃THEN the Strawhats run into Vivi and Chopper and suddenly there are more caring people like him, and more evidence that the system is corrupt which he already knows but how can he change it. He’s able to fight off some men now, and helps fight off some of Wapols men and the Whiskey Peak people, but that isn’t enough.

⁃All his friends have goals that seem impossible but they are so sure they alone are going to reach it, even without the crew there. Coby doesn’t feel like he can do the same.

⁃But hen theres alabasta - He’s stronger now, can through a punch, hes more lean with more muscle. He helps fight, and maybe it doesn’t do much, maybe the man (Luffy) who opened his eyes to the world is still there bleeding out, but he did something.

⁃And Ace and Robin have a hint for him, for his dream.

⁃(Who is this, Ace asks, referring to Coby. He has no role on the ship, but Luffy is proud to call him my friend, and say he wants to change the world for the better. To bring back what Justice really is. Ace cringes at the thoughhht of Garp but hums, and says theres a group of people who will do that – The Revolutionaries. Look for them, Ace says, and leaves. They will help you)

⁃(Robin, who knows all, tells him about Dragon unknown in the East Blue, his home, buth the most wanted man elsewhere. He has a plan, to take down the World Government, and perhaps Coby can find equal footing.)

⁃The Revolutionaries -  Dragon, Luffy’s father.

⁃Coby has a goal now.

⁃He doesn’t want to say goodbye to the Strawhats, but he does, taking a boat lent to him by Vivi, and setting off to find the Revolutionaries. Pirates don’t care about fair fights and Justice, but Coby does, and the Revolutionaries do. His dream will grow there, but he will always be an honorary crew member of the Straw Hat Pirates (the first in some stories).

⁃At sea he runs into Helmeppo, whose drifting at sea stranded due to the marines, and helps him. They bond, and Helmeppo has done a little growth in character as well, and decides to follow Coby, much like Coby decided to follow Luffy.

⁃They run into Garp who is losing faith in the new generation and believes that maybe his son is right, gives them a few fists of training after asking about his grandson, and goes on his way.

⁃They save a town or two

⁃Coby punches several people in the face.

⁃Still no sign of the revolutionaries, but they have heard things from the grape vine that a pirate ship has fallen out of the sky into a navy base. Coby assumes at least Luffy is doing fine.

⁃Finally they run into - guess who – Sabo, on a information recovery mission, which Coby helps with. He questions them at first and learns their story.

⁃And knocks himself the fuck out when Coby says “Ace” “Luffy” and “Brothers”

⁃“OH SHIT THEY ARE GOING TO KILL ME” - sabo,after waking up, to a confused Coby and then profusely thanking him.

⁃Sabo agrees to let Coby and helmeppo into the Revolutionaries and trains them (wow Coby’s been trained by a lot of ppl at this point) if Coby helps him find Luffy and Ace.

⁃CUE WILD GOOSE CHASE WHICH ENTAILS COBY BECOMING THE HERO OF THE REVOLUTION just like Garp is the hero of the marines!! They just fight ppl but instead of in the name of becoming the pirate king, its for REVOLUTION and JUSTICE because Coby has a working moral compass.

⁃Coby develops new moves combining all that he’s been taught into a rather weird fighting style with a mix of weapons and martial arts. He gets a bounty, and it’s the worst day of his entire life and also the best. He can’t decide, Helmeppo Sabo and Koala (whom he met when Sabo had to explain why he wasn’t on his mission) laugh at him.

⁃Then Sabo runs into Ace, ands that reunion goes as well as you would expect, but that not the important thing, because its still not enough to not send Ace to Marineford. But they don’t know this. Yet.

⁃Sabo and Ace both get news about Ennies Lobby at the same time. Coby, when Luffy mentions knowing Coby to his visiting grandfather, receives a shudder down his spine as if he has narrowly avoided a horrible fate.

⁃But its whatever. Sabo contacts Dragon and plans to meet with him and Luffy at Sabaody, to keep an eye on the Supernovas and let Sabao and Coby see Luffy again.

⁃They never get a chance, as the Strawhat Pirates have disappeared by the time they arrive… and Ace is on the execution block.

⁃Sabo has to go save him and drags Coby along for the ride, who eagerly awaits the opportunity to THROW DOWN SOME MARINES

⁃Luffy still goes through Impel down and all that, but Sabo and Coby still arrive late to the battle.

⁃You know how Sabo saves Luffy and Ace in that one excerpt? Cue coby punching akainu in the face for trying to hurt his friends then dodging the hell outta there as sabo saves ace and luffy.

⁃He Learns his haki! Is like oh shit my crush is gonna die, better do some shit about that! The haki allows him to actually stop Akainu for a second, and stop the fighting, as he attempts to question the people – is this what justice is?

⁃Coby meets trafalagr law and also buggy again. He isn’t afraid anymore, and doesn’t hide. People are quietly proud.

⁃Luffy gets saved and ASL reunion happens.

⁃Luffy decides to train, and tries to get coby to come along with him.

⁃Coby Is just frustrated because he has a moral compass and Luffy is just here saying he’s now best friends with corrupt war lords and the pirate kings right hand man, who is a cool dude, but why luffy, coby is hurt, please stop punching people because you feel like it.

⁃(Coby’s just putting on appearances)

⁃HEs just a good boy who wants to tear down corrupt systems why do you make friends with criminals luffy why do you hurt coby like this

After leaving Luffy to train and after helping him due his oxbell thing, he leaves with sabo to FINALLY MEET DRAGON

He goes through his own two year training with helpmeppo who is along for the ride. Who Coby has now decided is stuck with him for life.

Training is hell, because Coby wants to find his own fighting style which means a lot of different stuff and seeing what works best and it HURTS

Chapter 4: House of Mystery

The battle was over. The titans rested on the cold hard ground gasping for air, unable  to process what just happened. They've been fighting non-stop for hours, killing off every parademon they see. It seemed like it would never end at first, and they feared that they might not be able to hold them off any longer. But then, to everyone's surprise, all of the parademons suddenly shut down.

"What just happened?" Beast Boy asked,  shifting back to his human form. His left arm was broken, his legs and face bloodied and bruised. A look of confusion covered his face, not knowing if he should be happy or terribly worried. 

"They're all down!" Superboy said in disbelief,  he sets himself down on a piece of metal that fell off from a building. "I can't believe it..."

"That must mean they succeeded." Damian said matter-of-factly. He wanted to look calm and collected but his face betrays him. A wave of relief hits him, his lips curving up.

Everyone cheers. They hugged each other, cried tears of joy, and healed each others wounds. Now it was a matter of waiting for the justice league to come back.

Three hours passed and finally a boomtube appears on the sky. The familiar faces of heroes fly down and land softly on the ground. Their bodies were badly wounded too, but they seem to be holding up better now.

Damian runs towards his father but says nothing. He looks around, noticing the lack of numbers. 'Where is she?' he thought.

"They will follow us shortly. Cyborg couldn't handle opening a boomtube big enough for everyone to enter. Constantine will be opening a portal anytime soon for the rest." Batman announces to everyone as if reading his son's mind.

"Were there any heavy casualties?" Donna speaks up, worried about Diana who stayed behind to teleport with Constantine's group. 

"None." Batman answers. "There's no need to worry, it was a success. Everyone did a great job."

The titans let out a sigh of relief and cheered again. "Let's celebrate!" Beast Boy shouts happily, Shazam and the others join him.

"We'll celebrate after we fix up the mess." Superman said, killing the atmosphere. "Don't get me wrong I'm not against it, after we're done with this we'll have a big celebration sponsored by Batman." he adds quickly, feeking guilty for ruining the mood.

Batman glares at him but he doesn't protest. Everyone cheers again and chatter excitedly about the future party.

"What's taking them so long?" Damian asked. He didn't care about the party, instead he felt impatient and uneasy. He worried about Raven, his chest hurt thinking about  her. 'Is she injured too? Did Trigon hurt her? Is she healing now?' Countless thoughts run in his head wondering if she's alright.

"Be patient dude." Superboy said, patting Damian's shoulder. "Raven's a strong girl, I'm sure she's fine."

"I know she's strong." Damian felt offended that Superboy thought he saw Raven as someone weak. "But you've seen how Trigon has hurt her,  and that's him being trapped in the crystal imagine if he was set free."

"Well Batman said everything was fine. If something bad happened to her I'm sure he wouldn't lie about it especially to you. " Superboy shurgs. He enjoyed seeing Damian being a lovesick fool, it's a fresh breath from his usual rude and cold demeanor. Whenever he teased her about Raven he would always get annoyed but he could see that he didn't actually hate it. Although he worries that his friend is clearly still in denial of his feelings and how this may become a hindrance in developing their relationship.

"I suppose you are right." Damian admits with a defeated sigh. He didn't understand why he felt so overwhelmingly worried about Raven.  He didn't understand why seeing her made him feel so at ease. Lastly, he didn't understand why he didn't feel those same emotions towards his other team mates. 'Why do I feel like I'm being biased towards her? Why do I have these feelings?'

Suddenly a bright golden circle cuts through the air, and in it John Constantine steps out carrying Raven, with the the other heroes following behind him. Panic swells in Damian as he watches John carry her seemingly lifeless body.

"Calm down boy she's asleep." John said quickly, noticing Damian's look of horror the moment he steps out of the portal. At first he thought he looked horrible and disheveled to the point of shocking the boy, then he remembers who he was dealing with, why would Damian care about he looked? He followed Damian's eyes which landed on the girl he carried and he remembers. 'Oh yeah, I nearly forgot. That boy fancies this girl.'

Damian releases his fist, he wasn't even aware he was clenching it so hard. Behind him Donna rushes forward towards Diana. They hug and nod at each other, having an unspoken understanding.

"Why is she in that state?" Damian's voice was calm but terribly cold. "You said there were no casualties father."

"Trust me, it could've been worse." Batman replies. "Be thankful Zatanna and Constantine knocked her out before her unstable magic cause any damage to herself and to others."

Damian felt frustrated at how only Raven seemed to be the only one carrying the burden of this whole plan. "Let me carry her."

"Yeah about that..." John hesitates, looking at Zatanna for backup.

"Damian," Zatanna speaks up. "We sense something strange about Raven's magic so for the moment John and I will take care of her at the house."

Damian was speechless. 'I dont have the right to protest.' he thought. He simply stared at Raven's sleeping face and memorizing every detail, scared of never seeing it again. "Make sure you take care of her well." He shuts his eyes and force himself to turn away, looking for any distraction.

"When can we see her again?" Starfire speaks up. Damian felt thankful for her voicing out exactly what he wanted to say. 'When will I see her again?'

"She's still part of the titans. We need to know when we can have her back or when we can see and visit her." Nightwing supports Starfire.

"We're not taking her away forever, she's your team mate and if the house lets you in then sure you can visit." Zatanna explains.

"Since you want to hold her so badly,  carry her for a minute while I summon the house of mystery." John said to Damian.

Damian doesn't hesitate to carry her, he held her as if she was the most precious treasure in the world. "Quite heavy isn't she?" John jokes.

"Not really." Damian replies. "Maybe your arms have gotten weak."

John rolls his eyes and proceed to summon the house of mystery. A few seconds later, a huge wooden house appears out of thin air. "Viola! This is the base for the Justice League dark,  where Raven will be staying temporarily."

Damian was amazed but he wouldn't admit that. The other heroes gather around the house, wanting to seek refuge where they can rest properly. "All of you can try to enter, if you're accepted by the house then you can relax but if you're rejected...well you better use that flying skill of yours."

John steps in the house first, followed by Zatanna. A couple of heroes entered too but many of them were sent flying out a few seconds later. Damian was relieved to have his feet remaining on the floor, the house accepted him and Raven.

"Where's the bedroom?" Damian asks.

"Aren't you a little young to be doing such things?" Green Lantern teases, much to everyone's surprise he wasn't kicked out of the house.

"Not cool dude." Flash comes to defend Damian. "That joke is so not appropriate right now."

Damian ignores them and proceeds to go upstairs. Somehow it felt like the house was guiding his feet to go to the right direction. Soon enough he found himself in front of a dark door labelled 'Bedroom'.

He opens it, and to his surprise the room was furnished nicely. He carries Raven to the bed and placed her down carefully. He sits on the bed, watching her sleeping figure. 'It doesn't seem like she's having any nightmare.' he thought. 'Trigon really is no longer trapped within her crystal.'

Seeing her sleep so peacefully made him feel drowsy too. The tiredness from the fight earlier seemed to finally settle in his body. He rubs his eyes and slaps himself, trying to fight off the fatigue. Too bad he couldn't fight it off any longer, eventually his eyes close and his body fall on the bed right next to Raven's.

'Only for a few minutes.' This was his last thought before he succumbed into deep slumber.

and llike don’t even get my started on the other few shoujo anime I’ve watched :’v It’s a very specific type I don’t know. For the most part, I like seeing edgy characters act a different way – or seeing how they can change or learn how to be around people. It’s always an endearing story arc for anyone who has that Edgy loner type trope – (in my opinion – Personally, I enjoyed Zuko’s and Keith’s arcs the most, learing to accept team avatar or team voltron as his new found family and all that shit blah blah)

Same goes for Zoe & Kayn. I ship them cos of that? Also cos I feel like Zoe is one of the few champions that can QUITE POSSIBLY MAYBE (just maybe) reverse what rhaast did (which is what i’m trying to do in my comic. I really love that). We can say hey yeah well the other aspects can do that too and aurelion and the other cosmic skinned champs. Well sure! Yeah ofcourse they can – i just chose zoe cos she’s naturally curious and she likes making friends. Among all of them, I feel like she’ll be the most probably one who’ll want to ask or even talk to kayn. I don’t really see leona, diana or Panth rushing to talk to some random shadow boy with a demon arm. COmpared to zoe’s who’s just off looking going on adventures, wanting to make friends. On kayn’s side. I don’t see him like bowing down to authority apart from Zed’s. He sees himself as the best and the only reason why he has this great respect for Zed was because Zed took care of him and in a way fathered him. IThey have a bond. A relationship that in itself, is respectable. Apart from that, i don’t see him bowing down to any form of authority. It’s another reason why I think he’d actually bother with Zoe? She doesn’t really blow off that “authoritative” aura figure that most champs might give or even demand. She’s just the “Hi, Hello, WHo are you? Wanna be my friend?” Casual champ. 

I see their first meeting as kayn going who the fuck are? doesnt matter, gonna kill you now. Zoe evading his attacks and Kayn getting annoyed enough to run away from her,realizing she’s this crazy weird ass psycho that he should probably avoid. And zoe realizing oh he’s actually kinda cool … kinda cute too… he’s not scared of me? Is he trying to kill me or play with me? Oh i think he wants to play! Okay lets play 1234 ready of not here i come —– And here and there. Eventually gets used to her being around cos she just wont leave him alone and she’s not really doing anything wrong. And then one day rhaast took over cos he got too complacent, she tries to save him, not for the sake of saving him but for the sake of showing rhaast that she won’t lose to him and … and then so she goes on this crazy journey, meets up with lux, talks to yordles, hears what varus has to say and then (SPOILERS LALALA WAIT FOR THE COMIC TO FIND OUT THE REST)  For the most part, it sounds like puppy love and the way I see them is somehow like that anyways.

So yeah. Long story short, The two has a potential story to be told. Okay sure, not as romantic as say Ezreal and lux, Lux and jinx or xayah and rakan – but like, even as friends, they have some sort of story to be told and I guess that’s why i like it. They’re two vastly different and complex characters that are somehow similar in some sort of way and the stories you can create about them be it romantic or friendly or sibling-y — its nice. They have that going on for them. Pls honestly, they’re a funny pair. so comedy’s always nice to tell when it comes to ships. I don’t really care if the end game of this ship isnt marriage or a family. Frankly, I just enjoy creating content and stories about them as is. Every ship doesn’t even HAVE TO end with marriage :v FRANKLY LOTOR AND ALLURA ENDED IN DEATH :’V (yes I’m still salty about voltron season 8)

as for the age thing i’ve explained my side once. Short and sweet. I don’t see zoe as a kid. that’s it. If i was so into the idea of pedo shit, I’d draw zoe to be as small and childlike as annie or Kayn to be as bulky and stocky of a man as graves or braum (older in general). Frankly i draw zoe with curves and Kayn looks like a teenager when i draw him. End of story.

Sweet Pea clenched his fist as he looked to FP, seeing the man who had helped in raising him.. His father figure reassuring him that they would get justice. Y/N was a Serpent. She was family. There was no way that the gang would let this go unpunished-  no matter the consequence. Sure, they turned a somewhat blind eye after they’d found Hot Dog.. not even striving to get payback for the injustice of taking their beloved mascot away… No, they let that one slide- only sparking their feud further. But this- taking Y/N hostage. It would spark a whole new battle in the somewhat waning war. Clenching his jaw, Sweet Pea nodded, though his eyes didn't lose an ounce of their intensity.. It seemed that anyone on the other side of his gaze would just be penetrated by the pure amount of hatred and anger he was harboring towards those Ghoulie freaks. Then again… anger really was the only other emotion keeping him from freaking out too much about what had become of you- what those freaks were planning on doing in retribution of the arrow that Cheryl had put through the arm of their leader.

Jughead cleared his throat, and then looked at the letter, biting his lip and pulling off his beanie in frustration as his mind went through the possibilities, as well as  a few ideas for their battle plan. It was going to be a suicide mission. The Ghoulies outnumbered the Serpents, ten to one, especially after the whole debacle of riot night. Serpents had moved north, in favor of getting away from the freaks that torched their trailer park. THey had lost so much. Jughead wouldn't be surprised if less than half of the people he called on would deny the affiliation.

The ghoulies were a tricky foe- but Sweet Pea didn't care. His eyes only burned with more intensity as he walked over, and clapped a hand over Jughead’s shoulder. “What are you thinking, Jones?” Sweets growled out, before taking out his phone, and dialing up Toni, and Fangs. He sent them a 911 message, before tossing the phone to the couch, FP going over to the fridge, and getting Sweet Pea a water bottle to calm down.

“It doesn't look good. Going to the Wyrm after they made it their territory. But they’re stupid to think that they have the whole advantage, bringing us into ‘their’ turf. Not when we know that place like the backs of our hands. “ Jughead nodded, before Sweet Pea opened the water, and chugged half of it down. Even the tasteless beverage made him feel sick, acid bubbling in his stomach as he tried not to think about what you were going through. If he did, he knew that there would be no chance of FP and Jughead being able to hold him back from charging in there, guns blazing just to find you. Even if it did mean the death of him. Sweet Pea was fiercely loyal.. To the Serpents- and of course to you.

“I’m getting her back Jones-  and I hate to fuckign say it, but.. We can’t just go out on this on instinct.. Need that big fucking brain of yours to formulate a plan Jones.” Sweet Pea grumbled, holding tight to the wooden chair in front of him. His knuckles were white, and were je just a bit stronger, he was sure that even the hardened wood would crack- Those Ghoulie fuckers were going to pay, even if he did bust his knuckles or break a few ribs teaching a lesson.

You woke up in a place that you knew all too well, though it’s memory was sullied, your eyes adjusting from the darkness rather slowly due to the blow to your head, courtesy of that Ghoulie bitch who’d punched you. Your jacket was stripped of you, hung delicately on the old dartboard of the bar that you had once frequented with your crew- your home base of sorts. But now it was different, skulls and crossbones lining every bit of the walls, in a tacky manner. It looked like a fucking Disney Pirates movie- you were slightly disappointed for ever thinking that Hiram lodge had any sort of style.. But it was clear that he had let his new cohorts take hold of the decorating situation. As a soft groan escaped your lips, you looked up, seeing a figure sitting at the old pool table, now refelted with some sort of shitty skull logo.

“Hmm seems like the Serpent slut is finally awake.. Looks like you didn't do your job well enough, Bonnibel.” a male voice said, getting closer, before you could finally see him, his face in plain view. Sure, this place was once a home to you- but not once it had changed. The comforting smell of the liquor, varnished wood, and faint smell of cigarette, all replaced with the sickly sweet stench of Jingle Jangle, threatening to burn at every single hair that you had in your nose. It was sickening- not to mention the breath of the man looming over you.

“Shut the fuck up, Theo.. Like you could’ve done any better.. Knowing you, you would have killed the bitch with that bat of yours.” the younger woman grumbled out, twirling a butterfly knife between her fingers before she looked at you. “Don’t mind turd breath over here.. He thinks that he is intimidating, but the truth is he is a real fucktard-  not that your opinion is going to matter much.” The young woman, now known as Bonnibel spoke, you remembered her face from before you were knocked unconsciousness, your eyes rolling before you responded.

“Yeah well luckily for you, I dont give a shit. Hate what you’ve done with the place, by the way.. Who the fuck is your decorator… the grim fucking reaper?” you asked sarcastically, your eyes narrowed both from annoyance, as well as the pain from the neon lights that seemed to burn into your retinas. “Doesn't matter anyways, since I wont be here long enough to warrant helping you pick a fucking color scheme.” you mumbled sarcastically, Bonnibel chuckling darkly and then walking over, her butterfly knife held in her fist, as Theo just sat back on the pool table and crossed his arms over his chest.

“You think that you’re so tough, don’t ya? What makes you think that those slimy fucking snakes of yours didn't just give up. I mean- I doubt that many of them want a repeat of what happened on riot night. SOme of them crawling back to their fucking trailers like the babies they were, limping.. Leaving town. Not so much of a ‘family’ as you all say you are.” the young woman commented, before chucking her knife at the covered dartboard, piercing through both the thickly embroidered patch, as well as the leather. How sharp was that blade?

Of course you were afraid- afraid that these psychos were going to do something… afraid that they were going to go after your friends and the people you loved- but it was the Serpent law. A Serpent never shows cowardice.. Instead, you just bared your teeth- in the form of a laugh. “Oh please, little miss Bonnibel. - sick name by the way-  This is our home turf-  we have the advantage.. The White Wyrm will always belong to the Serpents.. The Southside too, and if you little goth punks think that something as small as a few tapestries are gonna undo that- well then you’re stupider than I thought.. Which is saying something. Now, can you guys just fuck off, and let me spend the rest of my time here in silence? I’m sick of that burning smell, when you try and use your brain.” you commented, turning your head away from the young woman, who was obviously seething.

Bonnibel kicked her chair back, knocking it on the ground with a loud clatter, she raised her arm as her face turned a new shade of red “You fucking bi-!” she was about to let her handed come down on your face, but her arm was caught, by Malachai, now sorting a splint, and a hell of a lot of bandages on one arm. “Ah come on, Bonnie.. I told you to be nice to our new guest.. Besides- it’s not really her we want to hurt.. Nah- We want the prodigal son of FP.. and you’re gonna get him for us.. Isn’t that right, eh little viper?” Malachai flirted, looking down at you with a hunger in his eyes that made your skin crawl- okay.. Now you were slightly afraid… but you chose to say nothing.

They’d all gone over the plan about a dozen times, Toni had shown Jughead and the others the way to the tunnels that lead into the Wyrm, all there from prohibition era smuggling. Sometimes it paid to live in old ass Riverdale. Now there they were, standing near the door to the cellar, skins adorning their backs, as well as a steely gaze in the eye of each one of them. Toni, Cheryl, Fangs, Jughead, Sweet Pea… even Betty had come along, no matter how Jughead wanted to keep her away from it all. Sure they would be walking right into the den- for what the Ghoulies wanted- or so it seemed.. But the did have a contingency plan, of course. Sweet Pea had his brass knuckles on him, his switchblade tucked away just in case- seeing as he knew the Ghoulies don't fight fair.. But god damn it, he would do what he had to, in order to make sure you were safe in his arms by dawn tomorrow. No matter what it took.

“Okay guys.. We know the plan.. Now huddle up.” Jughead nodded, acting as though he was coaching a team for a sport- even if he hadn’t played one in his life. “In Unity, there is Strength.” Jughead said, his disposition changing to a more serious tone as he looked each of his friends in the eyes.

“In Unity there is Strength.” Sweet Pea repeated, along with the others. And God damn it, he was going to make sure that his reunion with you was the strongest of them all. With that, He and fangs broke off with Jughead, while the girls remained at the door of the cellar. This was not over.

Up topside, You’d stayed in silence, as Penny and Malachai jabbered on about their plans… for the supervillains of your current story, you figured that they were both idiotic enough to keep going on about their drug ring, and the implications of it all. Not that the gang members were afraid to hide it.. But- what was interesting, was when a young man walked through the door. Going over to Penny and whispering in her ear, as Malachai smirked.

“Well I guess you’re in luck little viper.. Your friends came through.” Malachai commented, squeezing your knee before he stood, and then crossed his arms in front of you. Penny also walked over, FP Jones in tow, with a smile on her face. She dragged her finger across your cheek, as you pulled your face away from her, looking at FP and sighing out. “Aww.. look at her.. We took good care of her. See? I mean she is a little banged up from Bonnibel getting a little excited- but.. She is all yours.. If you’re willing to give us half of your Northside territory.. You guys look good homeless- but .. we kind of want to up the stakes a little.” Penny smirked, crossing her arms, before you shook your head. Hell no, they were not going to give up their spot- not after it took them so long to find another place after what had happened at Sunnyside. “FP, you’re not seriously considering this. Don’t fucking do it.” you told the man, FP shaking his head and then looking at the two other adults in front of him. “Penny, why would you want the Northside, when you have the Wyrm.. i mean- the decoration is fucking tacky.. But what? The Southside ain't enough? Or what? The people don’t trust you?” he asked, a smirk plain on his face, as Penny grimaced.

“FP, we’re not really in the mood for your shit- I mean it’s a simple transaction. You give us the Northside, and we give you your girl back.. If not- well we’ll of course give her back only-” Malachai walked over, with a butterfly knife of his own now gleaming. “She might look a little cuter with a skull carved into that pretty face of hers.” Penny continued. You swallowed thickly, as FP tensed up,”I don't know Penny I can't put my Serpents out on the streets… you know that, Y/N.. for the gang.” FP commented, even shocking Penny as he turned to walk away.. But as he was  looking at you, he gave you a small wink… what was he planning? Was he just … stalling?  

And that was when it happened, a loud bang that seemed to shake the building, before several kids ran out from the basement, coughing, as their faces were dyed orange. “Malachai someone messed with our shit! The chemicals, The whole fucking batch!” they yelled, Malachai running down to the lab after them, it was clear what his true concern was, as chaos erupted in the already crowded bar.

Penny was the one who was left frustrated. Looking aghast as Ghoulies flooded to the basement, all feeling the need to take a look at what became of their stash, the woman fleeing up to her office in order to find out what the fuck was going on. In the confusion was when the other  Serpents had slipped in, Toni reaching you first due to her short stature, and untying you, as Sweet Pea and the others followed, knocking people down as an all out brawl started in the bar. Punches were being thrown, bottles smashing against the walls, but what you were more focused on was the sight of your boyfriend, clearly livid as he pushed off not two, but three guys at once. They were near the entrance of the bar, holding people off while they got you out. No, the Ghoulie’s didn't harbor the same loyalty towards their kind, not as they backed away in favor of not being the next victim of Sweet Pea’s steel punches. But you made no hesitations as you grabbed his arm, and then dragged him out of there, even as he was yelling on about how he would fuck every single one of them up.

FP was already in the truck idling it, Jughead and the others tossing green smoke bombs behind you while you made your escape. Giving the signal, FP started to drive, as you and Sweet Pea ran towards the truck, the male lifting you up into the tailgate, before pulling himself  and vaulting over, as you all made your escape.

“Nice to see you’re alive.. “ Betty was the first to speak, just smiling down at you while Cheryl held her bow at the ready, just in case any of the other Ghoulies got any ideas. “Those guys used to be in my chem class.. They never really were good, even back at Southside High.” Toni smirked holding up a bottle of potassium, as you tried to catch your breath. “Jingle Jangle can make  a pretty good smoke bomb, given the right circumstances.” the pink hair woman spoke, smirking before putting it away. You loved every one of them, all coming to your aid when you needed them.. No, you didnt doubt them for a moment- even as FP faked his betrayal.

Sweet Pea was just shaking as he held you, his adrenaline levels going through the roof as his hands ached and felt as if they’d been broken. Of course it was a tough situation, but he finally had you back- and he was not going to let you out of his sight. He pulled you into his arms as the truck barrelled down the highway towards the Northside, getting you to safety was his first concern. “Baby I’m so sorry. I should have gotten off my ass and walked you home. I should have made you stay with me- something I just.. fuck .” he grumbled, pulling you closer to himself, as he brushed over the bruise on your temple, where Bonnie’s punch had landed.

But you didn't blame him-  the Ghoulies were going to get someone, only it could have been worse if it weren’t you, Not with Sweet Pea’s fierce loyalty, he would never have let this go- and you knew that.

“Pea, don’t blame yourself.. I’m fine. I’m just. I’m glad you came for me.. Not that I doubted that for a minute.” you nodded, pulling him in close for a kiss- the very same kiss that you should have let linger that night, instead of walking home. Tears pricked at your eyes, every single feeling you’d hid in favor of being strong and not showing fear… you could show your vulnerability now- now that you knew you were completely safe in his arms.

“I’m just glad you’re safe.. But you’re staying at the camp with me… I’m not taking my eyes off of you…. And who ever did that to your face is going to pay.” he growled gently, pulling you into his lap. Of course he was a big brute- but around you, his strength turned more into a tenderness- something that only you were able to see- when he felt like showing it. It was clear that there was no arguing with him on that subject- not after all that had just gone on. Sweet Pea loved you.. And naturally, you were going to take in every moment after your separation.. After all, it was the thought of him that kept you going, even when your fearlessness was getting close to it’s breaking point.

He was so strong.. And you knew that you would be strong for him as well. “I love you, sweetheart. You’re safe.. We’re going home.” Sweet Pea said quietly, almost whispering it into your hair, as his own breathing calmed down. The way he held you so tightly, you knew that every word from his mouth was the truth..

let’s talk about new characters/OC’s in persona 5 royal.

now allow me to preface by saying that literally all of my knowledge on this topic come from other people talking about other aspects of this topic most notably the new girl’s design, I am also not Japanese and my knowledge of culture customs (and my ability to spell names)  is very limited. finally I am amateur fan fiction writer with little more then a rule of thumb to go on so with all that said this is a discussion so please no flames. 

ok down to business, my rule of thumb when creating/adding a character to a story is to ensure that they add something to the world they are being added to.

a couple of examples from my own fanfic’s 

in the Robber: the title character fills a highly specialized role no other Merc does as well as having his own item and skill set that gives him a specialized role the idea being that if he was added to the game right then there would be a role for him.

Rip hunter from the Young Justice AU: aside form me being a sucker for time travel the idea behind adding him was to create conflict and a member of the team that already knows everything but can’t act on it fro the greater good. that keeps secrets, but not for the sake of keeping them he is very torn and the team wants the truth but know that learning it would cause more trouble then it’s worth. 

and finally most relevant is a Persona character sheet i made for kicks for if i was going to add a character, this one is sadly not published anywhere but if you are interested let me know, anyway back on topic. this person would be an american (because i dont know anything about Japan so creating a character i’m closer to would be easier) his code name is Atlantic (so i will call him that from then on) anyway Atlantic joins that Team in Hawaii and his effect on the story is several fold, number 1: international Attention, the phantom thieves will have changed the heart of someone in a different country causing even more attention to be drawn to them (and shujin) number 2: it will lead to the rise of a group of copycats (who cant use the meta verse) sending out calling cards to different targets then the thieves (acting kinda like Medjed). and finally the FBI start investigating the Phantom thieves later joining the SIU task force. The FBI are also used by the gang And Sae to arrest Shido and to protect Ren/Akira (the cops wont kill the turned in leader with the FBI and subsequently every international law enforcement agency through them watching) which causes Aketchi to have to go through with his frankly terrible (IMO) plan to fake Ren’s suicide. 

now that was long and i don’t have everything laid out neatly (because i haven't figured out everything out yet) but the point i am trying to get to in my own ranting way is that the new girl doesn't really have a spot to fill. let me explain. 

Persona 5 is paced beautifully with everyone joining at a time that makes sense (although i do maintain that if they wanted to change contain the plot twist better they should have switched Akechi’s and makoto’s joining order but i’m getting off topic) Ryuji and Ann Rebel against  the person who wronged them in school, Yuske his corrupt mentor, Makoto an angry Mob boss (this one doesn't fit as well) Futuba against her own sense of self hatred and mental illness. Haru against her overbearing father.  

they all awaken in moments of thematic importance to there character. 

Ren awakens as he can;t stand around and watch as someone is being hurt

Ryuji after realizing that he may as well embrace what people say about him because it doesn't matter anyway.

and so on and so forth. 

so i ask where exactly does Kasumi (who’s name i now know thanks to @highpriestessjohanna) fit in. where does she awaken? 

either she is here from the start which i feel for me anyway might destroy the pacing of the game because again there is how the OG four wind up joining.

Ren and Ryuji (chance does them dirty and they wind up in the castle) 

Ann only Joins after following the two trouble makers who publicly threatened Komoshida and she only did that because her best friend in the entire world was driven to attempt suicide and she wanted on there plan.

where exactly would the new girl fit in?

and it’s something i honestly don’t have an answer to.

Mannnnn I just cannot get over how many great well-developed relationships there are within the Rune Factory 4 cast! Its just great how much all the different love interests interact with each other outside of their romance route, and how all the non-romanceable characters are still an equally big presence by being family/mentors/employers/best friends/etc to the love interests and to each other and everyone has a job role in the town and they have so many great interactions and just GAHHHH its so great!! Its like one big family made of families made of families then you marry into the family and the family and also the family perhaps. THEN YOU HAVE A CUTE CHILD. aaaaaa

Anyway.. umm.. lol... Yeah THIS IS BUNNI JUST FLAILING AT HOW GREAT THE GAME IS

ALL THE FAMS:

Ventuswill the mentor lady best friend/team mum/LITERALLY THE GOD OF THIS COUNTRY AND A GIANT DRAGON man i just cry forever for her aaaa Everybody’s own unique love for her, and how she kinda unites us all as a family aaaa The butler family coworker trio who met each other because of her! I really like to see it as clorica and vishnal having a brother sister relationship, they dont get any particular big scenes together but they just seem to be such cute friends who never have any of the rivalry you’d expect when theyre both competing as volkanon’s students. VOLKANON IS LIKE YOUR GRANDPA AND HE IS THE BEST CHARACTER The whole restaurant fam! You get to see it expand as the story goes on! And aaaa its just so heartwarming that porcoline adopts all these random homeless people and aaaa!!! DYLAS LEARNED TO COOK. THEY ALL LOVE THEIR STUPID TWIRLY GOOFBALL DAD. And its so nice that these very different personalities end up coming together and being like siblings when they probably wouldnt have befriended each other if not for this random stroke of chance. Its just so cute seeing margaret looking out for her new brothers, and dylas being so polite and formal to arthur, and arthur just being all ‘haha i dont know anything about having a loving family what a rare novelty’ *constantly crying inside* And they bicker sometimes and when they team up theyre a super powerful force, and theyre all like the parents to porcoline’s childishness and aaaaa super talented restaurant fam, super colourful quartet of hugs aaaa THEY ARE MY FAVOURITE OKAY And Forte + Kiel adorable siblings with the unique plot and semi tragic aspect of living alone together at a young age and each trying to take the place of their deceased parents and protect each other And then Bado is like their weird adoptive uncle who’s lived next door since back when their parents were alive, and promised to keep them safe. but he’s kind of a wreck of a man who’s perpetually messing up his silly get rich quick schemes but DEEP AT HEART HE CAAAAARES! but still he is kind of a mess and would probably turn up drunk on their couch half the time. i love him he reminds me of sirius black if he ate del boy from Only Fools And Horses to absorb his strength And then there’s Illuminata who’s like Bado’s evil twin kinda?? They should have more interactions, theyre the bad influence grownups duo XD And I just love the underrated relationship between her and her ‘sidekick’ amber, and how she’s kinda like a big sister who doesnt wanna be called one. I totally only have you here to serve my nefarious purposes! Umm, I mean, my purposes of justice!! And then she’s often playing the cool big sis to all the various female characters in the town, even though at the same time she’s also part of the ‘adults who need a mom friend’ group XD I think margaret and forte actually win the crowd of the true mom friends even though theyre not the oldest (I also like that they have an unlikelu friendship together, though i wish if margaret is allowed to have a canonical gay crush then why isnt she allowed to be a gay marriage option...) And then Lin Fa and Xiao Mei kinda dont stand out as much cos theyre more of a very normal mother and daughter, beyond Lin Fa just being this spacey super nice but super clumsy person. She’s not quite the funny parent-child like porco and co, but she’s funny in her own way cos of how cheerful and positive she is about all her failures. Xiao Mei got all the common sense! Its also nice and cute how Xiao Mei is physically clumsy but super competant and mature, while her mum is perfectly elegant yet completely scatterbrained. And they’re both totally huggable, Xiao Mei dont be jealous that everyone has crushes on your mum! I feel so bad when she’s all ‘i’ll never succeed cos i cant be cute in the same way as her’, as if there’s only one definition of feminine beauty or whatever. CAN YOU NOT SEE YOUR MUM HAS FLAWS TOO. you are powerful togetherrrrrr! i am just so envious seeing these characters with supportive mums that’re like their best friend and they can talk about everything together ^_^ And then there’s the doctor family with the super lovey dovey married couple of funnyness and mushy mush, and they adopt some orphans too~! EVERYONE ADOPTS EVERYBODY: THE GAME. I love seeing the cold and distant Dolce warm up to them and regain her faith that she wont be hurt if she loves someone again. Also Pico is very cute and hilarious! Even if again I get very annoyed at this game having so much queerbaiting, lol. I kinda laughed at the wiki saying dolce and pico were ‘like sister’, i mean seriously?? Pico is like your typical ‘looks like a child but is really 100′ love interest and dolce is the poor harem show protagonist who never asked for this XD I do like though that even if it seems dolce very much doesnt requite pico’s feelings, theyre still best friends either way. Pico’s super comedic flirting attempts seem to come off like she’s completely aware that dolce doesnt love her back, and she just wants to make some humour out of the situation to let dolce know she still cares about her even if they’re never gonna date. Its nice, we dont often see relationships like that in fiction, a childhood friend who confess a crush, gets turned down, and it actually ends positively and they remain friends. Its just a shame it had to be like... one of the few openly LGBTQ characters in the game, and nobody is ever allowed to date anybody or have a happy ending or be a romance route or even mention the word gay, even as theyre constantly being incredibly vocal about how its canon these characters have crushes on each other. gahhhhh. I mean we literally have doug and dylas proposing to each other and confessing their love but LOL HA its just a ~wacky misunderstanding~ but btw lets just rub it in that they are VERY MUCH intended to be seen as gay by the audience but theyre not ~really~ gay even when we say they are and GAHHH okay sorry im getting offtopic now :P Anyway its really sad that Pico is stuck as the same unchanging ghost child while her best friend grows up and marries someone else. And man, she had to spend all those years guarding monster form dolce until someone was able to free her, and we dont even know how pico died so her life could have even more tragedy in it. After all that I guess its a relief that she can be this comic relief jerk-with-a-heart-of-gold manzai duo partner to dolce and also like the freeloading friend on her metahphorical ghost couch. And its nice how much the doctor couple completely accept ‘dolce’s friend’ and are some of the few people who never remotely worry about her haunting the town. And then AAAAA there’s the four guardians themselves who’re like a family cos they were all people who were like family to ventuswill in different time periods, and then met each other for the first time when they were purified from their monster forms and bonded over how much they all love the same friend. And theyre such a badass quartet of cool monsterfolks!! And I like that they have lil relationships inside the quartet, like how dolce and amber are polar opposite sunshine and grumpiness but dolce secretly likes her a lot more than she lets on, and how leon likes to tease dylas but also kinda be his wingman. And I like how leon takes this role to a lot of the other batchelors too, he’s this totally shameless frat boy big brother figure XD “HEY PROTAGONIST DO YOU WANNA HEAR ABOUT DOUG’S SEX LIFE” And then aaaa doug and granny blossom AAAAAA granny blossom is probably the character who gets the least scenes, backstory, and general focus, but I still love her a lot. And they have a good dynamic together! I like that it starts off seeming like just a completely normal grandma granson relationship, but then you learn later that he’s adopted, and that he actually began as a spy for the evil empire who realized the error of his ways after infiltrating the town and finding so much love inside it. And then he’s just so scared cos blossom’s illness might bring her to an early grave, and he’s always being disobedient and rebellious because he wants to do anything to protect her even if she tells him not to put himself at risk and AAAAAA

why are there so many amazing fams and theres even so many small hints of characters who maybe only interact once or twice and then there’s room to headcanon even more fams and AAAAAA and the protagonist’s place in the complex web of fams is up to you to decide!! ITS LIKE EVERYTHING I EVER WANTED IN A GAME

oh and randomly I liked that xiao mei’s father isnt a major character in the game, but there’s not any tragic reason or anything. he’s just a travelling merchant and lin fa is very accepting of her husband being gone off on trips for long periods of time, she has every confidence he will never stray away from her and she supports him pursuing his travelling dreams! and also it was funny how his one brief appearance has him with the generic traveller 3d model, to point out how much he isnt a main character compared to his wife XD and it was just really cute how happy everyone was when he visited, and how the player accidentally helps improve their family business! and aaa the backstory story about arthur’s mother is SO DAMN SAD, and dolce’s biological parents who she left behind when she sacrificed her life, and just AAAAA even the tiny one-line-only minor fams are such quality fams FAMS GAME REVENGE OF THE FAMS
