Just thinking about postwar Levi feeding your little toddler fruits.
You folded and gently dropped the last piece of baby clothes into the woven basket. The sky was painted with soft yellows and purplish clouds. Birds sang as they headed home. You carried the basket and walked carefully down the stairs from the rooftop into your house.
You heard your toddler squealing happily and banging her little fists on the coffee table. Your toddler was now at that age where she got really excited about the mundane things. A cat walking by the roof? Happy screams. A bicycle rang somewhere down the streets? Curious big eyes looking around for the sound.
You placed the clean laundry in your master bedroom and headed downstairs to the living room where you left Levi with the baby. You watched in the shadows. You had this new habit of observing your husband and baby in silence.
Levi sat at the edge of the sofa, hunched by the coffee table as he cut red grapes in halves. His delicate fingers held his pocket knife, carefully removing the seeds before he gave one half to the impatient toddler. The halves grapes looked so small in Levi's palm but looked so big in your toddler's little fists. She took both halves into each palm. Her eyes were sprakling with delight as she pushed one half of the grapes into her mouth. Grape juice leaked from her opened mouth as she grinned. Levi mirrored her grin too. His eyes had softened so much, there's wrinkles by his eyes as he grinned at his little toddler.
You smiled to yourself. You loved watching Levi living a normal life as he should have years ago. But it was never too late for love and happiness. You descended the stairs. Upon hearing your footsteps, both father and toddler duo lifted their head in unison and turned toward you. You were greeted by the same glistening bluish grey eyes. Your baby wuggled her hands, sticky grape juice flying around the living room.
You took a handkerchief from your pocket and kneeled by your baby, wiping her mouth, slimy with saliva and sweet grape juice as you cooed, "are you enjoying the grapes? You like the grapes daddy cut for you?"
Levi quietly pushed a bowl of cut grapes toward you, all seeds removed. "We got the wrong grapes," he said, "these have seeds." You got the grapes. And you overlooked if they were with seed or seedless, but Levi never blamed you. He used "we" when you or baby made a mistake. That was his gentle love.
You tugged the handkerchief onto baby's shirt collar and Levi gave baby another half grapes. Baby was smiling as she ate the grapes. You sat next to Levi and took one half of grapes from the bowl. You gave it to Levi, trying to feed it to him but he nudged at you. "I had them as I cut," he nodded toward you. "You eat." And so you ate. And the grape was sweet and juicy.
You leaned against him, watching your toddler as she took halves of grapes from the bowl. Four eyes on two as your baby watched you back, grinning as she ate the grapes. Love griipped your heart and happiness filled up your chest so fast, you had to unload it. You turned and immediately welcomed with Levi's lips on yours.
You could taste the grapes on his lips. As you pulled away, you leaned your head on his shoulder. You took a seedless half grape from the bowl and ate it.
"Thank you, Levi." You leaned into him closer. "Thank you for this life."

Being a detective in the 60s wasn’t easy at all. With all the danger occurring and newly killers all walking around, trying to take lives as if they were useless, you couldn’t help but bite your nails as you waited for Jake at home.
But being a detective’s wife was even more difficult. The constant dread fuelling your heart until it was too heavy to carry.
One late Friday night, you were sitting by the kitchen table all alone. The warm June air hitting your skin since you left your window open, watching as the sun was beginning to set.
You had already deep cleaned the whole apartment, probably not even a single crumb of dust was left.
Then, you rearranged the books on the shelves.
In the morning, alphabetically and in the afternoon from the oldest to the newest. Ridiculous.
Utterly bored, you had even painted your nails of a weird shade of green that matched your favourite blouse-skirt set.
You weren’t even being dramatic, given the fact that your only company hadn’t shown his face at home for two days.
Date a detective, they said. It’ll be fun, they said.
It was everything but fun or entertaining, since you spent most of the time alone, due to his crazy schedules.
But you loved Sim Jake too dearly to even consider confronting him about it.
You heard a few stories about old ladies’ nieces at the hair salon you worked who got forced into marriage and you were so glad it hadn’t happened to you.
Because you knew it, bet your heart on it that Jake would always choose you first.
You glanced at the clock that ticked half past seven and like the perfect wife you were, you began to wonder if Jake was even taking care of himself. Had he eaten enough? Had he even eaten at all?
So, rolling up your sleeves, you cooked a delicious meal to bring him to his workplace. Inside the small lunch box was some warm miso soup and vegetables for his big, sexy brain.
Repressing the shiver that ran through your spine when you stepped out of your house and immediately spotted a ‘Missing Person’ sign, you started walking down the familiar road. You just thanked the sun was still high enough to bring some natural source of light.
You reached his office when it was dark already, having walked almost one hour away. Cursing the heels you forced yourself to wear even as your feet screamed for help, you knocked on the door.
The new detective Jake introduced you at a dinner showed up, bright smile and innocence plastered on his face “Hello! Miss Sim.”
You smiled back “Good evening, Mister Kim.” Sunoo stepped aside from the door “Looking for Detective Sim?”
You hummed as you took in the sight of the very dark hallway “Third door on the left, is that right?”
Sunoo nodded happily, “You remembered.” He then placed one hand on the side of his mouth to whisper “But I warn you, he’s not in the brightest mood.”
Oh goodness. “Thank you for the information.” You said as you walked away, to the door that led to your husband’s office.
Softly knocking on the door, you waited for his response, and when his grumpy “What?” From the other side, you decided to open the door.
And there your husband was, his hair sticking to every direction while his glasses almost fell down his nose bridge.
Jake was playing billiards, leaning against the table as he desperately tried to get in the ball. A simple task that seemed not to work for him, since he looked so distressed.
A cigar balanced between his upper and bottom lip, its smoke lingering in the air.
When his chocolate brown eyes finally settled on your figure, they softened in a way that made your heart skip a beat.
“Y/N.” Jake breathed out, placing down the pool stick on the table and walking towards you as you closed the door “What are you doing here?”
“I brought you dinner.” You raised the lunch box in your hand, smiling “Figured you might need it.”
His brows knitted, a frown appearing on his face “You walked here all alone?” He glanced at the clock that ticked nine already “It’s dangerous, baby.” Don’t let yourself be fooled by the sweet nickname, his tone was low and rather pissed.
Being in contact with crime most of his day, Jake grew very protective of you, and directly imposed that you wouldn’t go out without him — or any male friend — after six pm.
You shook your head and let out a small sigh “I’m here, aren’t I?” You said as you walked towards his desk to place down the lunch box.
“Besides, I haven’t seen you in a while.” You tilted your head, resting your back on the table “Haven’t you missed me?”
“Christ, Y/N.” He walked toward you right away, closing the space you had put “I missed you like crazy.”
He dropped his head low and sighed tiredly “But there has been another murder and we can’t figure out who the culprit is. I’m in deep-sea here.”
You gently cupped his cheek in your small palm and rubbed your thumb “Maybe you should take a break?” You suggested “Working too hard fries your brain.”
Jake nodded “Maybe I should.” He murmured and looked behind his shoulders “Wand to play pool?”
You grimaced “You know I can’t play that game.” His lips twitched into a smile wrapping a strong arm around your waist. "I could teach you." He told you, lowering his head and brushing his lips against your ear.
You placed your hands with your newly polished nails on his clothed chest, right under his shoulders "I'm afraid I'm a lost case at this game, even for the greatest detective in town."
Jake chuckled lowly and tilted his head to press his lips against your own, sliding a hand downward to grip your thigh. He parted his lips, slipping his tongue into your mouth and tilting you backwards in between his body and the desk.
Jake took the opportunity to grip your thigh and spread it apart, too eager to even care about having a make out session first. He slipped his hand under your skirt and groaned when he felt your folds right under his fingers.
"Goodness, you didn't seem to be wearing anything." Jake mumbled against your lips before trailing his own down your jawline and to your neck.
His fingers pressed against your core and he groaned lowly, sliding his fingers across your entrance.
You let out a quiet gasp at the feeling and let out a small chuckle before his fingers delved deeper inside of you, moving in and out of your wetness while kissing across your jawline.
"You seem quite needy already, love." He mumbled with his gravelly voice. You grasped the back of his head and rested your forehead on his, your eyes never leaving his.
He kissed the tip of your nose, such a gentle gesture in contrast to the filthy thing he was doing to your body, the sound of your slickness pooling down your thighs and on his wrist filled the room— until it was interrupted by a knock on the door.
Cursing under his breath for not having locked the door when you first came in, and not having foreshadowed his fingers deep inside you, he pressed a finger on his lips to shush you. “Who is it?” He then asked.
“Detective Sim?” Someone’s voice came from the other side “The captain wants to speak with you, sir.”
He was about to turn the doorknob when Jake said “Busy at the moment.”
The other detective stepped back from the door but didn’t walk away. “It’s important.” He said bluntly.
You thought that at those words, Jake would leave you there on the table and go doing his job, instead he curled his finger inside of you, making you press a hand on your mouth to middle a moan.
“You can tell me from there.” The detective began speaking and Jake looked down at you, his eyes darkened as he continued to move his fingers in a circular motion inside of you. "Keep quiet, mh?" He whispered to you, his tone smug.
You let out a shaky breath and grasped his forearm, doing your best to not let out any noise.
He let out a low chuckle, curling his fingers again to draw a moan from you. "Shh, you have to be quiet." He whispered and the detective continued to speak.
Not like you could focus on what he was saying with the way his fingers worked you closer to the edge.
“About the murder cases we were working on…” The detective said, “I have an update.”
Jake tilted his head at the mention of the case and kept his fingers moving inside you. "And what is the update?" He called out, not letting up his movements at all.
You couldn’t take it anymore and tried to remove his wrist, "Detective Park found a similarity with the other two murders, seems like the culprit puts a small signature."
Jake ignored your piss-poor attempt to stop him as he continued to talk to the detective with a nonchalant tone.
"What sort of signature?" He questioned, a smirk on his lips while he continued his movements with a particular curling of his fingers.
Your legs shook as he kept hitting your sweet spot “He cuts the ring finger's nail of all the victims." The detective informed him.
Upon hearing the information Jake's eyes widened slightly before moving his sight back down to you. His fingers continued their ministrations, drawing more tremors from your body though his mind was working at the new information revealed to him.
Not hearing any reaction from the inside, Jake’s colleague added “Detective park said to find him when you aren't... busy?” He cleared his throat and for a second you thought he guessed what was happening “I'll tell him you'll talk to him later?"
Your husband hummed lowly as he thought back to the information, continuing to work his fingers in and out of you as if it helped him think. "Yes, I will come talk to him after." He told the detective with a steady voice, his eyes taking in your expression while his gaze darkened.
With the dismissal, the person’s steps went away until they completely disappeared. Jake smirked and moved his fingers faster, curling on your g-spot.
He lowered his head, pressing his lips against the side of your neck and up to your earlobe. "Just a little more, love." He whispered in your ear.
You moaned shakily, now finally able to let it out. You wrapped one arm around his neck to steady yourself as the other rested behind you.
You clenched around his two digits, the knot in your stomach tightening.
Jake let out a soft growl in your ear, his fingers curling against your sweet spot. "Not yet, wait." He demanded.
“W-what?” You frowned, unable to stop the euphoria creeping in “Why?”
Jake smirked against your ear "I'm not done with you yet, love." he mumbled huskily before taking your lobe in his mouth and sucking on it.
His fingers worked you until another moan nearly escaped your lips and he took that opportunity to capture them in his own "Quiet, you don't want anyone to hear you being a noisy little thing, do you?"
You shook your head as you threw it back, your hair dangling in the air and eyes squeezing. You bucked your hips to meet his hand, his palm rubbing against your clit.
Jake titled his head at the sight, looking ever so gorgeous. He added a third digit inside of you, but it stretched you so good to the point of pain. You couldn’t help but whimper out loud.
Jake chuckled at your reaction and his tongue delved between your lips when you whined, muffling your sounds. "Shh, you're being too loud, baby." He bit your bottom lip.
You clenched around his digits, walls taking them in “T-too much.” You murmured.
He hummed lowly and slowed his pace slightly, bringing one arm to grip your waist again. "You can handle it, can't you, baby?" Hequestioned as his fingers began to curl against your sensitive spot to ease your discomfort.
At the feeling, so full and good, you rolled your eyes to the back of your head “T-there.” You moaned helplessly “Keep going.”
“Be quiet for me.” He demeaned and curled his fingers at a speed you weren’t even sure was possible.
You looked down at where your bodies collided and couldn’t help but let out a moan, your slickness was pooling down his wrist onto the floor, making a whole mess.
Jake followed your gaze and smirked at the sight, “You like this? Mh?”
You nodded “Yes, Jake.” Your eyes were half lidded as you felt the knot in your stomach tighten “Like it. So good.”
Jake titled your chin up to meet his dark eyes and raised a brow, your walls sucking his digits in “Are you close, baby?”
Like the expert of your body that he was, he knew all the signs to pick up. “Yes— I’m so—“ You couldn’t even finish your sentence, that one particular curl on the spongy wall made your body shake in release.
Jake’s arms wrapped around you, holding your body against his as you quaked, “Good girl." He mumbled in your ear, his fingers continuing their work until you came down from your high.
He pressed a soft kiss to your jawline, his fingers slowly pulling out of and he smirked as they came out slick with your release. "You were so good for me, darling." he mumbled against your ear.
He pulled his fingers to his mouth and sucked them, he hummed “Love the taste of you.”
Jake gently gave your arm a light squeeze before moving you to the side. You watched him through puzzled eyes until you saw him pushing on the floor all of his files.
“Baby?” You asked and he only replied with a smile. He pressed his lips against your neck, sucking and biting on the soft flesh while he moved his hands to the back of your thighs.
“Now..." He mumbled as his hands gripped your thighs, lifting you up.
You widened your eyes when you noticed how he placed you on the desk and rested your thighs on his shoulders, kneeling in front of you “There we go.”
“J-jake?” You asked, looking down at him. He winked at you “Just relax." He mumbled softly as his lips began to trail across your thighs.
Your body twitched at the feeling, his featherlight kisses sending waves of pleasure.
Jake trailed his lips up until they were close to your core, his breath fanning against your sensitive skin.
“Wait.” You tried to stop him by pressing one hand on his hair. “You haven’t been touched yet.”
He chuckled again, looking back up at you from his position in between your legs. "Don’t worry about me, love. This is about you." He whispered, blowing on your pussy.
You rolled your eyes back and Jake took the opportunity to swipe his tongue slowly on your core, tasting your juices and your previous cum.
“Oh, Lord.” You moaned out, grasping his hair into your hand, knuckles almost white.
He hummed as the taste of you hit his tongue, drawing a low groan from him.
Your breath grew heavy, slowly guiding his head to lick in the spots you were the most sensitive.
“You taste wonderful, love.” He whispered, sucking on your clit.
You unconsciously bucked your hips, not in control of your body anymore as it succumbed to the pleasure.
Jake chuckled and pressed a hand on your hip, pinning it down to keep you from moving while his tongue continued circles against your sensitive spot. "Stay still for me, darling." He mumbled, continuing his movements.
You arched your back and grasped his hair and he could tell that you were already close to the edge.
So, he took the opportunity to slide his tongue in your entrance, making you moan out as the warm and spongy feeling made your whole mind black out.
His eyes never left your expression as he watched you closely. He was enjoying making you squirm, moaning out his name.
And just like thunder crashing, your body shuddered while you squirted right on Jake’s face.
You widened your eyes, unable to stop the overwhelming feeling of pleasure as you basically screamed-moaned. At that point, you were sure even people on the streets knew what you two were up to.
However, Jake seemed very content with it. He wiped his face with the sleeve of his suit. “Pussy so good, makes my day better.” Your liquid was dripping down his glasses and jaw.
“I made a mess.” You whispered, propping yourself up on your elbows “And?” Jake raised a brow, pulling your chin in a kiss. You could taste yourself on his tongue “I love your messes.”
“I want to help you.” You stated, palming his angry hard-on “You already made me cum twice.”
“We don’t have protections.” He murmured, kissing your lips once, then twice “I don’t want inconveniences to happen.”
The thought of him breeding you made your mind fill with primal urges, but you tried to negotiate “You can pull out.”
Jake shook his head, resting it on your shoulder “I don’t have self control when it comes to you.” He kissed your clothed shoulder.
“A blow?” You questioned, caressing the little hair he had behind his head. Jake chuckled again, “I’m too rough and I don’t want to ruin your cute attire.”
His gaze travelled down to your hand that helped you hold yourself up and smiled “You put nail polish on? It suits you.”
How he managed to make your heart flutter after literally having you shake, you weren’t sure. Maybe he had a talent.
“I wanted to be pretty for you.” You chuckled, “Can’t ruin your reputation.”
No matter how much Jake tried to talk you out of sex in his office, the way he was slowly rutting his hips on your inner thigh gave him away.
He occasionally let out small hums in between his words, and you knew damn well he must be feeling so pained.
So, you slowly climbed down the desk and looked at him. He showed you a nice smile, oblivious to the contorted plants you had in mind. His lips dropped into a frown at the same moment your skirt dropped to your ankles.
“Y/N?” He asked, raising a brow as you began to unbutton your blouse, showing your silk bra.
If Jake had one weakness apart from eating you out, then it was your boobs. He loved them, worshipped them day and night.
His eyes darkened at such sight, walking towards you right away and pushing you against the wall.
“You drive me insane.” He whispered, unzipping his pants and letting them drop to the floor “You fuck my head.”
You watched him with excitement bubbling your stomach, he gripped your bare thigh and raised your leg until it was around his waist.
You looked down at his hard cock, pressing against your stomach “Watch me stretch this pussy out.” He said as he aligned himself with your entrance and thrusted inside of you.
You were so wet and sensitive, your skin burning against his. Jake gripped your ass so tight it would surely leave a mark by the next day, he rutted his hips inside of you at a fast speed.
“I don’t think I’ll last long.” He warned, “I feel you much better without a condom.”
You clenched around his length as his admission, making him groan. He pulled you into a heated kiss as he kept moving his hips, desperately chasing the relief he longed for.
“Fuck.” He breathed out, grip on your skin painful “Fuck, you were made for me.”
With one skilled hand, he undid your bra and palmed your breasts, his tip hitting your cervix, making you moan.
Jake lowered his head onto your chest and began sucking on your nipple, circling his tongue around it “Ah, Yes!” You chanted out.
Without missing a beat, Jake changed tit and did the same thing to the other.
“So deep.” You moaned, squeezing your eyes shut as the familiar feeling of euphoria reached you for the third time “So good.”
“Yes baby,” He grunted, one hand sneaking up to wrap around your neck “You’re so good for me, so good.”
The sudden loss of air made you clench around him, your walls hugging his cock, sucking him in.
“Fuck— Stop clenching like that.” He huffed, squeezing his eyes just like you did “I’m already so close.”
“I don’t want you to pull out.” You placed one hand on his cheeks, brown eyes boring into yours “What?”
“I want you to cum inside of me.” A rather deep thrust “Your babies, I want them, I don’t care.”
“Oh goodness.” Jake grunted, his hips moving almost manically “You’ll be the death of me.”
You pulled him into a kiss which wasn’t exactly one, you two were just moaning and breathing into each other’s mouths.
“Are you sure, love?” He asked, drops of sweat coating his forehead, his bangs sticking to it “We can’t undo this.”
“I’m so sure.” You moaned out “Cum inside of me.”
At those words, Jake shot his load deep inside of you, filling you up with his warm seed.
You whimpered, grasping his forearm when the orgasm hit you as well, making you clench around him.
He held you against the wall, both of you trying to catch your breaths.
You smiled and removed one bang from his eye, caressing his cheek with your thumb “This was the craziest shit I’ve ever done.”
You slowly rocked your hips, needing to feel him more, needing his cum to stay inside of you.
Jake groaned and rested his forehead on yours “Damn baby, if this is how it’ll end up every time you visit, I hope you do it more often.”

heaven is a place on earth with you
art donaldson x fem!reader || soft moments in your fresh new home
cw: smoking, minor cursing, no use of y/n (1240 words) a/n: writing about my sweet baby art during finals bc why not
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
you swore you could have stayed like this forever. tangled in silky bedsheets, soft rays of light that tingled on your face, body pressed against art's. one of those moments you wished you could pause and settle in for an eternity.
the mattress was on the floor, and cardboard boxed were scattered all around your apartment. your apartment. it felt blissful to say it. a life awaited you there, between the beige and baby blue walls that screamed for another hand of paint. it was far from the ideal, but it was perfect because it was yours. art's and your world. didn't it sound so pretty?
you looked over at him. eyes closed, lips slightly parted, his head a blond mess of curls and his skin warm despite the moring breeze that slipped inside the room through the opened balcony. art looked otherworldly. he always did, in your eyes. and you felt like the luckiest woman on earth with him, because he looked at you, because he touched you, because he loved you. because he felt for you what you felt with him.
and you two were fucking living together. the thought was enough to bloom a grin on your lips. a pure, joyful smile that made you want to jump and dance all around. pressing a feather-like kiss to his temple, you sat up, careful to untangle yourself from his arms and slinging over one of his standford t-shirts.
you reached over to your bedside table- well, the brown leather suitcase on which you had left some stuff. a provisional nightstand, let's leave it at that. you took a cigarette out of the box, holding it between your lips as you grabbed the lighter and your sketchbook and pencil.
the cool air of the early morning greeted you as you stepped out onto the balcony, goosebumps appearing all over your skin. you lit the cigarette with the pink lighter art had gifted you on your fourth date, all that time ago, when you mentioned you kept losing all your lighters. it was safe to say you'd kept this one. it had fake rhinestones forming your initial on one side. you recalled thanking art with a very excited hug and an even more excited peck.
"you made it?" you had ask him, the glint in your big eyes almost matching the glimmer of the rhinestones under the streetlamp. when art nodded, you gushed, hugging him again. "it's beautiful, art, i love it."
"i'm so glad," he smiled. you looked ethereal, all the eagerness painted on your face, cheeks rosy from the cold, babbling about how sweet you found it.
"hey, do you have any more rhinestones left?" you asked.
"yeah, yeah, here," he handed you the stickers, watching you start putting some more on the other side of the lighter. "what are you-"
but he was shut as he guessed the shape of his own initial, a very shimmering 'A'. once finished, you showed it to him proudly.
you both broke into laughter, cheeks flushed and hurting from the smiles, but it didn't matter. not when you felt so safe around him. and certainly not when he pulled you in for a kiss.
taking another drag of the cigarette, you traced your fingertips against the initials on the lighter. call it luck or fate or whatever, but none of the rhinestones had ever unstuck from where you both had originally placed them.
you sat on the beach chair that you'd placed on the balcony last night, before getting trapped between art's arms and lips, and getting lost in him. tipping the ashes off of the end of the cigarette, you opened the sketchbook. it was actually another of art's little thoughtful gifts that he loved to give you, and you loved to receive.
on the first page of it was a sweet little dedication art had written.
'for my angel girl, so you can be an artist and carry me always with you (get it? because i'm ART and you're an ARTist? so funny, i know.) love you forever baby <3'
it always made you smile when you read it, and reach over to kiss him for no apparent reason, leaving him a curious, flushed mess.
on the page you were currently at, there were some seashell doodles from your last trip to the beach. art had picked them out for you, and peered through the whole process with his head resting on your shoulder. beneath the collection of seashells was a watercolor drawing of art's beautiful, dual colored eyes, and a little sketch of a couple of figs.
looking over, your eyes settled on the pastel colored laundry your neighbors in front had hanging and swaying lightly with the dawning breeze.
your traces were fast but precise. soon, the laundry was replicated under your pencil. shirts and pants and socks and even a bra. the cigarette dangled from your lip, forgotten amidst your concentration.
you were so absorbed in drawing little daisies on the socks you didn't hear the sheets rustling as art stirred awake, or his soft footsteps as he approached you. thus, when you heard his voice, you were startled for a second.
"hey, artist."
you turned to him, eyes big. the movement was so sudden the cigarette fell to the floor.
"hey, art," you smiled, setting down the sketchbook and pencil and standing up to greet him.
his hands were on your waist in no time, pulling you in for a kiss. you nuzzled your head onto the warmth of his chest, running your hands on his back.
"morning," you looked up to him. art smiled. god, that smile. it drove you crazy, made you weak at the knees. your soft fingertips drove up to trace his smile lines, trailing down to his jaw in no time.
he tucked some strand of hair behind your ears, pressing a kiss to your forehead. "were you drawing?" art asked, spinning you around so you both faced the view, his arms around your waist.
the sky was not fully blue yet; pink and purple hues shining over the horizon.
"mhm," you hummed. "i want to colour it later, will you help me?"
"of course, baby," he mumbled, pressing kisses to your cheek.
it was something silly you two did sometimes. after pouring you both some coffee (you made it for art the way he liked, as he prepared yours as he'd learnt from several coffee dates), you'd pull out some colour pencils or sharpies and paint the little doodles you had drawn.
"hey," art whispered. "we live together."
you smiled. "yeah, we do. it's perfect."
art huffed at that. "the walls are on the verge of falling apart. and the people from the bar downstairs were noisy as fuck. and the shower-"
"shut up," you playfully hit his arm, rolling around again to face him once more. "it's you and i. sounds perfect to me."
he gifted you another smile. "you're right. it's ours. that's more than enough."
was this your own personal heaven? you found yourself thinking that often, as you got lost in his always tender eyes, or the sound of your laughters together, or the tingles he left on your skin, or the way you loved each other. as he lifted you up and carried you inside for your first breakfast at your place, you were sure of the answer. yeah, of fucking course it was.

O5 stuck with you —strawberry bong !
scaramouche x gender neutral reader
content warning — mentions of weed and getting high
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Hey guys,” Aether greets, swinging the door open.
You and Yoimiya look up from the living room floor, where you both were sorting through what stash you had. An assortment of weird flavored vapes, an ugly bong, and a few joints.
“Welcome,” Lumine greeted, locking the door behind the four of them. Your eyes flicker towards Scara, who’s staring around your guys’ dorm curiously. Everyone else had been there before, but he’s refused since you were present.
Fischl flickers the lights off apart from the LEDs hung around your dorm. The space settles into a dark haze, the dim red and blue being the only source of light as everyone finds a spot.
“You got the goods?” Childe asks, plopping down across from you as everyone settles onto the floor. Unfortunately, Scaramouche ends up next to you. He doesn’t even spare you a glance.
“Goods? What are you, 14?” Aether laughs.
Venti pulled out a small plastic bag from his pocket. It was hard to see in the lack of light, but you could see bundles of green inside.
“Here,” Venti replied, tossing the bag to you, who caught it clumsily, “You have a joint, right?.”
You tucked the bag away and pulled a joint out of your pocket, popping it out of its tube. You took a lighter from Yoimiya’s hand and it let out a lousy spark, but no flame came out.
Scara scoffs from beside you, but before you could make a comment he covered the lighter with his hand, causing a flame to come out.
“Thanks,” you mumble, taking a hit, and passing it to him.
Scaramouche took the joint from you with his free hand, bringing it to his lips. He leaned his head against the base of the couch behind you both, passing it to Childe and so on.
Aether soon brought out his phone, connecting it to a speaker as music slipped through the room. Fischl put out a pack of UNO as you guys all started a slow paced game while passing around a joint that slowly diminished.
Venti set up his bong, much to Scara’s dismay.
“Can you roll some blunts for me, I’m going to check if we have drinks,” Yoimiya asks, gesturing to the table. “I can try,” you slowly say, eyeing her work. You were never good at rolling, and you still weren’t if your clumsy fingers were any tell. You bit the inside of your cheek as you attempted to tuck the paper in with your fingers, but failed miserably as a bit of weed kept falling onto your lap.
“You’re shit at this.”
That was the first thing he’s said to you since your fight in the dressing rooms a few days ago, and of course it was an insult.
“Shut up, I almost got it,” you huff.
You most certainly did not got it.
“You’re supposed to mold the weed in as you go,” Scara says, “You’re really bad at everything you do.”
You roll your eyes but follow his words. You can feel his eyes on your hands as you continue to struggle to get the paper to stay put.
Before you could give up and keep everyone waiting Scaramouche reached over to grab your wrist and pull your hand towards his face.
“Hold the end,” he orders, folding over the paper for you as you hold the end of the soon to be blunt in front of him. His movements are swift and precise as he rolls the blunt with practiced ease. You can’t help the flicker of resentment spark up at his effortless skill.
You almost tug your hand away, not wanting his help, but he brings the blunt, and in tow you, closer to his lips. His grip on your hand is soft as he leans down and licks across the paper, his lips close to your fingers as he seals the blunt shut. He looks up to lock eyes with you, were his eyelashes always so long?
The LEDs painted the living room in rolling light and shadow, and you were suddenly conscious of Scara’s unrelenting gaze. For a second, your eyes met his dark, half-lidded eyes. They seemed unfathomably deep, like staring into an abyss. Scaramouche soon pulled back, snapping out of whatever that was before you, and tugging the blunt out of your hands and leaning back to light it.
“That’s how you do it, dumbass,” he says, placing it between his lips.
“Whatever,” you manage to say. The image of his eyes looking up at you crystal clear in your mind. You snatched the blunt back from him, you needed to forget the weird feeling in the pit of your stomach. Envy, that was surely it.
Yoimiya came back with drinks and rated your blunt an 8/10, but didn’t ask you to roll anymore throughout the night. The UNO game was soon forgotten as you guys passed around controllers to play Mario Kart and take hits. Childe insisted it was more fun when high.
It always took you a while to start feeling it, you’ve only occasionally taken part with your members a few times. You could feel the weight of Yoimiya’s hands on your shoulder as she shouted out for you to dodge the banana peels, the stain on the ground from where Venti had knocked over his beer earlier was suddenly bothersome, and the dim lighting seemed to lull you to sleep.
You look to your left, watching as Scara puts down a draw four for Aether, who was still playing, his nimble fingers flipping over the cards and smirking as Aether wails in response. His skin glowed warm under the flickering violet lights, his lips pulled into a frown as Aether pulled a reverse card on him. He was pretty, but you’ve always known this. It was one of the many reasons you disliked him.
Your head felt light for the first time that week, all the stress from the awards ceremony incident dissipating. It was as if the weed inside you rose up to your skin, turning you inside out, causing every emotion you felt to be turned up to the next ten dials. Every nerve in your body was buzzing with anticipation. Of what, you didn’t quite know yet.
You promptly let your head hang limp for a while, letting your eyes fall shut as the voices of everyone around you faded into a faint noise. A few minutes pass before you find yourself falling to your left, your head landing on something soft as you drift off into nothingness.

When you come to the dorm is quiet apart from the low music of the abandoned game of Mario Kart on the tv screen. Apart from everyone else passed out and splayed across each other the first thing you notice is the fact that you're laying on someone’s lap.
Assuming it’s Yoimiya you look up and are taken aback at Scara’s head hung a few inches above you. His arms are crossed and his chest is rising slowly, and when there isn’t a scowl or frown adorning his face, he looks rather peaceful. At that moment, Scaramouche was the epitome of contentment that even monks who cultivated for decades would be jealous of.
You’re suddenly aware of every one of your movements, it would be humiliating for him to see you like this. You turn your attention back at the room and eye the mess you guys all made. You should really wake them all up in case Jean visits you guys in the morning, your heart can’t handle another lecture from her.
You turn and look back up to see Scara staring at you with a heavy unrelenting gaze. You yelp and sit up abruptly, scooching away from him.
He merely stretches out his legs and leans his head back, as if you hadn’t just fallen asleep on him.
“Ew, I can’t believe I took a nap on you. Why didn’t you push me off?” you ask.
“Lumine said she’d kill me if I did,” Scara answers, his voice hoarse from just waking up, “Your big head is heavy, don't do that shit again.”
“As if I’d ever want to, fuck you,” you huff, “You’re uncomfortable,” you add. Which wasn’t true, his sweatpants were rather cushy, but you’d die before admitting that.
“You drooled on my pants,” Scara grimaces.
“Did not!”
“This is why nobody wants to sleep with you.”
“Who told you that?!”
“Just an observation.”
You scoff and busy yourself with picking up the UNO cards scattered around you. He wasn’t completely wrong, you were too busy with idol life to seek out any sort of relationships. But he didn’t need to know that.
“Not everyone is a slut like you,” you say back, bringing your knees to your chest.
Scaramouche looks over at you for a second, an insult probably loaded atop his tongue, before he instead stands up and stretches his arms above his head. His shirt rides up for a moment, a flash of a tattoo being visible for a second before he looks around.
“Which one is Xiao’s room?”
“First door on the left, why?”
He doesn’t answer, grabbing a vape off of the table and walking off, shutting the door behind him.

You sigh loudly as your old car tires squeak loudly when your car comes to a stop in front of the rustic log cabin your best friend Lisa had rented for the weekend. She insisted that the four of you spend the weekend away from the city in a “lovely” cabin in the middle of a forest to destress from the hectic day to day life you were all experiencing. With the way your boss had been treating you lately, this was much warranted.
“Finally! We’ve been waiting for you, we haven’t started without you.” She grins from the porch waving her hands dramatically over her head.
“I had to finish a report for my boss before I could get on the road,” you explain, taking the duffle bag from your passenger seat. She engulfs you in a tight hug, the vanilla scent of her shampoo comforts you immediately letting the stress of work melt away. She had always been like a sister to you, her presence alone made her a safe space for you.
“Well, none of that matters now, you’re here! Come on, Jennie set up the fire pit in the back. Let’s crack open a bottle of wine!”
She leads you inside the small cabin and shows you an empty bed to place your duffle on. The cabin itself is much nicer on the inside than its standoffish appearance from the outside. The walls were painted in deep chestnut brown with framed pictures of woodland animals. Four twin size beds lined the four walls, each bed with a fluffy pillow and clean folded quilts. A small kitchenette sat in the back, with an even smaller bathroom next to it.
The smell of the burning wood from the fire pit swirled around the cabin, Lisa gestures to your bed “grab a blanket and come sit outside.”
The fall weather of the day was beautiful, the sky was gray and the temperature was perfectly chilly making it perfect firepit weather. Jennie and Jisoo smile widely as you walk outside, immediately wrapping their arms around you when you get close enough to them. The last time all four of you had been together was months ago, work mostly keeping you from one another.
“Finally! I’ve been counting the days for this trip!” Jennie happily dances back to her chair. Four large chairs were strategically placed around the large metal fire pit that was burning.
“Sorry I’m so late guys, I had to finish a report for my boss.” You sigh, sinking into the chair and wrapping the quilt around your lap.
“That boss of yours works you way too hard, I’m surprised you were able to get this weekend off.” Jisoo shakes her head pouring red wine into four wine glasses.
“I had to request it weeks ago, and remind him every day this week.”
She hands you the wine glass, “I don’t know how you put up with him. He is way too demanding, and he doesn’t even pay well.”
“I’m an assistant guys, I have to stick it out if I want to move up in the company.”
“We never see you anymore though,” Lisa pouts, sipping on the delicious red wine.
“I know, I hate it. I really miss you guys,” you frown at the three women you have been friends with since childhood. “Sometimes I wish I could leave it all,” you smile softly, swirling the drink in your glass. “Could you imagine? Running away from work and all of the stress of the city? Never worrying about a job, rent, bills, love. Just run away and disappear.”
“Sounds like Peter Pan syndrome,” Jennie giggles.
“No, Peter Pan was a kid that didn’t want to grow up. I like being an adult.” You lean your head back against the chair and stare into the gray sky as more dark clouds roll in. You sigh and close your eyes, “I like having adult money and doing adult things. I’m just saying, it would be nice to walk away from it all sometimes. I wish I could just stay in a place like this, away from everything.”
“I’ll cheers to that. No more work talk, babe. This weekend is all about relaxation!” Jisoo smiled holding her glass out about the flame of the pit, all of you followed her lead and clinked your glasses together giggling. “Cheers!”

The loud vibration of your phone woke you from your slumber, searching for it you're immediately blinded by the obnoxious light of the screen. Squinting your tired eyes you see it’s 4:00 am, not only that, but it was your boss calling. The cabin was filled with the soft snores of your friends. Not wanting to wake them, you quietly wrap the quilt around you and tiptoe to the backdoor and sneak out.
Standing outside you reluctantly answer the phone, “Hello? Mr. Kim?”
“I need you to come into the office, right now!” His voice was so loud that you had to take the phone away from your ear.
“What? Sir, I’m on a trip, remember? I’m an hour away, I can’t..” A sudden gust of cold wind knocks the quilt off of your shoulders leaving you in the floor length sleeveless white satin nightgown you had slept in. The quilt pooled around your ankles, “This isn’t negotiable. I have an emergency meeting and as my assistant you are expected to be there. You need to be at this office in two hours or I’ll have you back in the mail room.”
Before you could protest he hangs up the phone leaving you dumbfounded. The trip Lisa had been planning for weeks was now ruined, because of you. Could he do that? Could he really send you back to your interning days of sorting mail? Tears brimmed your waterline, fuck, you need to pack up and wake the girls.
A snap of a branch catches your attention, picking up the quilt and wrapping it around your shoulders, you look in the direction of the forest where the sound came from. It was still dark out, the only light coming from the porch light and the moon. All you could make out were the outlines of the trees right in front of you, it was pitch black beyond that.
Using the flashlight from your phone you shine it toward the trees trying to make out what could've made that sound. Calm down, it’s a fucking forest. There's animals, go inside and pack your shit.
“Are you lost?”
A sudden deep voice makes you drop your phone with a gasp. Grabbing your phone from the ground in a rush, you clutch the quilt closer to your body as you shine the light around you in search of the voice. The deep voice laughs mockingly watching you spin in circles in search of him.
“Up here.”
Hesitantly, you lift your head in the direction and see a figure crouched on a tree branch, his elbows are on his knees as he rests his chin in between both of his hands. The darkness makes it hard to see his face. The branch he was perched on had to be at least 40 feet in the air with no smaller branches leading up there, how the hell did he manage that?
“I-I should get inside..”
“Don’t be afraid, darling. You called for me.”
“Excuse me?”
He stands from his crouched position and steps off of the branch. “WHAT ARE YOU-” your voice stops in its tracks watching his body gently float down from the branch and landing on the ground in perfect grace. He rolls his shoulders and cracks his neck and starts walking toward you.
Stepping closer to you out of the darkness you can finally see him. Silver ashy hair swoops across his forehead and around his ears, the moonlight highlights his defined jaw, prominent nose, and adams apple as well as his soft honey skin. His lips are plush and pink, with a small playful smirk stretched across his perfectly white teeth. His brown eyes capture yours and hold them. He’s in black slacks, a white button up collared shirt and a black vest to top it off.
“You called for me last night. Don’t you remember, darling?” He steps closer to you with each word he speaks. His eyes still hold yours, you don’t know why you’re not running from this stranger. Something about him is holding your feet to the ground, his presence brings an unexplainable wave of comfort around you. He reaches his hand out and gently strokes the hair away out of your face and tucks it behind your ears, your face instinctively moving toward his warm hand.
“I don't know what youre talking about, I don't even know you…” you whisper.
He smiles a little wider and cups your cheek in his hand, using his thumb to rub circles on the apple of your cheek.
“You do, kind of.” He chuckles, shaking his head. “I’m Heeseung, but fairy tales call me something else. Do you know what they call me?”
“No…”
“I’ll give you a hint.” He has a playful gleam in his eyes as he removes his hand from your face and takes a step back. He reaches into his pants pocket and pulls his balled fist out presenting it to you. You lean in closer as he unravels his hand and a ball of light and fluttering wings hovers in his large palm.
A bug?
The fluttering subsides and a tiny figure sits in his palm. A small man sits in his palm in a green jumpsuit, he shakes the sparkles out of his wavy platinum blonde hair and smiles brightly at you as the translucent wings on his back twitch in excitement.
Your mind is starting to question the reality of this. Not only did this strange man just float in midair, but now he keeps a pocket sized human looking bug in his pocket. There's no way any of this is real, you had to be dreaming, or still drunk from last night's wine.
“Do you know who I am now?” He smiles watching the little fairy fly around and land on his shoulder in excitement. Your brain flashes with scenes from childhood movies and books and you can’t help but think, why does this little blonde bug look like the boy version of…
“Tinkerbell…” you whisper the last part out loud.
The little fairy leaps off his shoulder, backflips in the air and flies around you in joy leaving traces of sparkles and light in his trail. He stops in front of your face and uses his tiny hand to boop you on the nose. He makes excited squeaking noises and flies back to Heeseung’s shoulder.
“He would rather be known as Tink by the world. But, his name is Sunoo. Most fairies are boys, I don’t know where they got the idea that he was a girl from.” He smiles watching the fairy pout and make dramatic faux crying faces on his shoulder. “So, darling. Who does that make me?”
This isn’t real, there’s no way this could probably be real. If Sunoo was “Tinkerbell” then that meant in this very not real hypothetical scenario, Heeseung had to be..
“Peter Pan..” you whisper.
His grin widens, he bows, placing his right hand over his heart, “at your service.”
“That’s not possible. Peter Pan is a little boy, a child. It’s a kids story, this isn’t..this can’t be real..”
He chuckles at your disbelief, “fairy tales tend to get misconstrued as they pass down. But, I’m very much real.” He says spinning in a circle lifting a few feet off of the ground to show his abilities.
“I suppose the lost boys are real too,” you laugh in disbelief rubbing your hand over your face in an attempt to wake yourself up from the dream you must be having.
He smirks and reaches into his vest pocket and pulls out a beautiful wooden ocarina. “As a matter of fact, darling.” He places his lips on the opening and blows into the instrument as he plays a few notes. He stops playing the small melody and smiles in the direction of the woods seeing the tall tree branches shake. One by one, different men drop from the trees and float gently onto the ground and start making their way toward you.
“Darling, these are the lost boys,” Heeseung gestures to the four men as they stand in front of the two of you.
Sunoo flutters around excitedly and swirls around the four boys. All four of the men were undoubtedly attractive, but nowhere near as beautiful as Heeseung. They were all in the same black and white attire, standing tall and proudly looking between you and Heeseung.
“This is Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, and Jungwon.” He smiles pointing to each boy as they give you a small formal wave and taking a bow when their name is said.
“This…this is not happening.”
Heeseung rolls his eyes in faux annoyance, “well, I guess I’ll have to make you believe this is real.” He grabs the phone from your hand and tosses it off to the side into a pile of leaves on the ground, “hey! I need that! I have to go-“
“Shh, darling. Let me show you something.” He smiles warmly, placing his index finger over your lips. Before you could protest his arms snakes around your waist, letting the quilt fall off of your shoulders again. He smirks down at you as he presses your body harder against his, “relax, darling. I’ve got you.”
His body is firm against yours, he’s warm and you instinctively melt into his touch. Your body starts to feel weightless as you feel yourself being lifted off of the ground. You watch the leaves on the ground become smaller and smaller and a surge of panic courses through you as you cling onto Heeseung to make sure he doesn’t drop you. You bury your face into his neck and squeeze your eyes shut to avoid looking at the height he’s taking you.
He presses his lips into your hair and places a small comforting kiss into it, “darling, relax. I got you.”
You're being lifted higher into the air as he starts to lead you into the dark forest with the lost boys and Sunoo flying close behind. You bury your face further into his neck as you feel him pick up speed, the wind is howling in your ears and your hair is whipping against your shoulders. Your stomach drops like you’re on a rollercoaster and you feel like you might get nauseous from intense motion sickness.
You hesitantly open your eyes and see the trees speed past you as he flies you deeper into the forest. Your eyes catch a glimpse of a pair of white glowing eyes staring at you, you gasp and press yourself harder against Heeseung. He rubs your back soothingly, “I’m not going to drop you.” You blink and the eyes are nowhere to be found, maybe it was an owl?
You feel Heeseung start to slow down and you look at the ground as you feel your bodies start to float gently to the ground. The ground is cold and wet beneath your bare feet, you look around and see you’ve landed in a small opening in the forest. There's two long logs placed around a makeshift opening for a campfire. The lost boys sit around on the logs as Sunoo blows a puff of green smoke into the campfire opening and a small fire blazes.
“Come, sit with us.” Heeseung gestures toward the fire. He leads you to the log closest to the flame, you sit as he rubs your arms soothingly helping you warm up from the chill of the early morning.
“Heeseung?” You ask, looking at him nervously. “Yes, darling?”
“What did you mean when you said I called for you?”
He smiles slightly and looks at you with adoration, “you said you wanted an escape. That you wanted to run away from your life. I heard you, and I’m here to give that to you.”
“How? I have to work, Heeseung, I can’t just stay in the forest with a bunch of strangers.”
“Darling, stop worrying about the things that don’t matter right now. Just for now, just for this moment, forget it all.”
Everything in you is screaming to run away, that this couldn’t be real. But looking into Heeseung’s eyes gave you an unexplainable feeling of comfort. The way he smiled at his friends with the cute wrinkle of his nose. His big doe eyes that held warmth in them, everything about him was inviting. Even the smell of the forest and morning dew on his skin had you yearning to be closer to this mysterious stranger.
“So, how much do you know about me?” He asks with curiosity beaming in his eyes.
“I don’t remember a whole lot from the animated movie,” you giggle shyly under his gaze. “But I loved the one with Jeremy Sumpter, have you seen it?” You ask curiously.
He smiles warmly, “I’ve seen every movie version of me. Is that one your favorite?”
“Yeah, it had me swooning as a kid. It was so obvious how much Peter loved Wendy, I hated that they didn’t end up together.” you admit fiddling with your hands in your lap.
His smile widens as he watches you twitch nervously, “what was your favorite part?”
You meet his gaze and he sees your eyes light up as you answer without hesitation, “the fairy dance scene of course!”
Of course it was
He stands up and extends his hand to you, you take it without question as he pulls you to a standing position gently. He wraps one arm around your waist and takes your other in his hand, in a waltz position. Sunoo flutters around the two of you in swirling motions causing falling shimmers of light to cascade around you two. Your feet leave the ground again as he brings you closer to his body.
“Are we going to dance?” You smile excitedly watching as he brings you high into the sky. The nervousness about flying before was no longer present as excitement bubbled within you to live out a fantasy of yours.
He starts to slowly spin you in circles, Sunoo stays flying around you sprinkling more of his pixie dust on you so you don't need Heeseung’s full support to stay in the air. Every childhood dream you had watching that movie was becoming reality and you couldn't stop the stupid grin that took over your face. You stayed looking at Heeseung to avoid looking at the height he was taking you, you didn’t want anything to ruin this moment.
As you reach the height of the treetops he stays hovering the two of you there as he brings you closer to him, still slowly turning you in circles. The sunrise was starting to break through, painting you in orange and red hues, he couldn’t help but stare at you admiring how the sun highlighted every notable feature on your face.
He had been waiting for this moment for so long.
He smiles watching you giggle as he continues to dance with you. Spinning you in circles, and even dipping you a time or two. The way he glided you along the treetops effortlessly and hummed a small melody only added to the magic of it all. Sunoo stayed close by, adding the dust and sparkle to keep you glowing in Heeseung’s arms.
He spins you a final time bringing your back against his chest as he carries your weight so you can watch the full sunrise. The sunrise above the treetops was unlike anything you had ever seen before, somehow everything looked brighter and more vivid. You closed your eyes and leaned your head back on his shoulder feeling the warmth of the sun's rays take away the chill from the cold morning wind.
“Can I just stay here?” you whisper into the sky, feeling truly free for the first time. No thoughts of work, no thoughts of stress, just pure bliss and pure freedom that you’ve never felt before.
A cheshire grin creeps on his face, his hands run along your lower abdomen as he places his mouth against your ear “Forget them, darling. Forget them, all. Stay with me, where you’ll never, never have to worry about anything ever again.”
You smile, “Never is an awfully long time…” you giggle feeling his lips ghost over neck and shoulder. He doesn’t comment as he lets you bathe in the morning light for a few minutes before bringing you slowly back down on the cold ground.
The lost boys smirk watching Heeseung twirl you one last time in the air before letting your feet touch the ground again. Sunoo flies around Heeseung and squeaks out little sounds, “right now?” Heeseung responds. Sunoo flicks his wings in annoyance and Heeseung sighs. “Stay put, I need to check on something.” He kisses your cheek and follows Sunoo a few feet away behind a large tree, leaving you alone with the other boys.
They all stare at you curiously as you take a seat on the log next to Jake. “So, do you guys stay around here?” You ask, trying to break the tension.
Jake doesn't say anything but he leans closer to your face and studies every feature intently. “Boy, you really do look a lot like her.” He realizes that he said the statement out loud and immediately backs away with wide panicked eyes. The other lost boys shoot him a glare and look between each other.
“I look a lot like who, Jake?” you ask curiously tilting your head to the side.
“No one, sorry.” He quickly stands up and walks away from you avoiding the stares from the rest of the boys. Heeseung watches him from behind the tree with a hard stare and clenches his jaw, he pauses for a few seconds and starts to chase after him.
“What’s going on?” You ask Jungwon. The three boys look at each other nervously. “I don’t know, you would need to ask Heeseung.”
Heeseung and Jake don’t return for a while, you wait impatiently for his return to demand to know about Jake’s odd statement. When he finally does return he has a hard glare on his normally soft face and notably, Jake isn’t with him.
“Heeseung, what’s going on? You’re not telling me something.”
“Darling, stop worrying.” He shakes his head running the back of his hand against your cheek.
You push his hand away, “stop. Tell me the truth. Please.” The happiness and freeness you had felt with him was washing away and you were facing the reality of the hard truth. Heeseing is a stranger, and you don’t know anything about him, let alone trust him.
He studies you for a moment and looks at the boys and gestures his head in the direction of where he came from, signaling for them to get lost. Sunoo lands on Heeseung’s shoulder and sits with his legs crossed nervously.
“I’ve been waiting for you for a very long time, darling.” He sighs rubbing the pad of his thumb along your bottom lip. He looks at you with his soft doe eyes and sighs, “I knew your mother.”
“My-my mom?”
“She called out to me, too. She was so sad about her life, just like you.” He pauses, letting the memories of him taking your mother out of her college dorm window and flying above the downtown skyline replay in his head for a moment.
“And I thought she was the one, we had such a fun adventure together.” He smiles a bit remembering how she opened up to him as they sat atop a bridge and watched the busy city life traffic. “But, when I told her to stay with me she said she couldn’t. She said she was pregnant…and getting married..to your father.”
You slow blink at him processing each sentence. This was the first you were ever hearing of this, come to think of it, your mother read you Peter Pan books as a child. Your mind begins to wander back to those moments, now noting that sometimes she wiped her eyes during reading and stared at the drawings of Peter Pan. As a child, you never questioned why she reacted that way but now the pieces were connecting like a puzzle, and it was making you sick.
“I was so mad in the beginning. I grew to despise her. I told myself I was going to kill her for breaking my heart. It took 19 years to track her down..” he scoffs, dropping his hand from your face and walking in a circle around you, like a lion stalking its prey.
“But, to my surprise, what did I see when I found her? I saw you, darling. And then I realized why everything happened the way it did. She was never meant to be mine, you were.” He stops in his tracks remembering seeing you on your mothers couch though the glass patio door. The dagger he had in his hand fell to the floor as he placed his hand gently on the glass as if it was you, so desperate to touch you.
“I spent almost twenty years miserable and hating her, only to find out that she wasn’t my true love, she was just a container. She was brought into my life because she was carrying you. It was you all along.” He spoke softly looking at you, his hands went back to cupping your face gently.
“Wait, Heeseung. You’re confused, I don’t know you. I don’t love you…” You shake your head breaking from his grasp. All the new information became overwhelming, your chest was tightening and it felt like water was rushing into your ears making you dizzy with loud roaring sounds.
He closes his eyes and takes a deep breath before opening them again, his big eyes narrowing and turning dark. “You will learn to love me, darling. Do you think all this was a coincidence? How do you think your friend knew about this place?” A small humorless smile tugs at his lips.

“I know Jennie, I’m still looking! I think I found a cute little beach villa but it’s four hours away. I just need something a little closer.” Lisa sighs into her phone as she types on her computer in search of a weekend getaway spot.
A knock on her office door startles her, “hang on Jen, I think my boss is here.” She places the call on mute and puts the cell in her drawer out of sight. “Come in.”
A tall man with silver hair walks in with a friendly smile on his face and a black briefcase in hand, “I hope I’m not intruding on you miss. I heard you could help me with a little problem.”
Lisa furrows her brows at the strange man, “um, sure? I’m sorry sir, what exactly is it that you need my help with?” He walks to her desk and places his briefcase on top of the wood and opens the locks. “I just need you to look at this.”
She stands from her office chair and watches him open the case, he pulls out something in his fist and presents it to her. “Can you hold this for me?” Normally, she would ask a hundred and one questions to this stranger but there's something unexplainable about him that she trusts.
She opens her hand and the man smiles as he drops Sunoo into her palm. Her eyes widen and before she can form a response Sunno blows a puff of pixie dust in her face. The dust covers her face and her dark eyes glaze over with green hues as she sits back down in her chair and stares straight ahead. Heeseung walks behind her desk and searches for the cabin on her computer, once he pulls up the address he pulls up the booking information and leaves it on the screen.
He places his lips by her ear and smiles, “you found such a lovely cabin for you and your friends. Make sure to book it immediately, and make sure she is there, no excuses.” Lisa nods as she still continues to stare mindlessly ahead. He grabs his briefcase and nods to Sunoo as he walks to the office door. Sunoo puffs another small cloud of dust into her face and quickly follows Heeseung out of the office.
Lisa blinks slowly and shakes her head from the foggy feeling that filled her brain. What the hell just happened? Looking at the computer she smiles at the cute little cabin that she must have found when she spaced out. She quickly grabs her phone from the desk drawer to unmute Jennie.
“Hey! I found it! It’s the sweetest little cabin ever! It’s only an hour away! I need to call Jisoo and Y/N, we have to go. No excuses.”

You felt sick to your stomach, this was all him? This was all a trap? For what, for you? “I want to go home.” You start walking in a random direction to put distance between you and Heeseung. He lets you walk a few steps away before he leaps into the air, landing in front of you blocking your path. “You’re not leaving me, you’re coming home with me.”
“Heeseung, this is ridiculous! I have a job, my friends are probably worried sick about me right now. I can’t stay in some stupid fantasyland out here with you!” You retort angrily as you shove him away from you.
“You can and you will, I’m taking you to your new home.”
Sunoo flutters around the two of you and stops in front of your face. “Do it.” Heeseung commands the fairy. Sunoo pouts at you apologetically and cups his tiny hands in front of his mouth and blows out a puff of dark green sparkling smoke directly in your face.
You step back as the smoke fills your lungs making you cough aggressively, knocking the wind out of you. You kneel on the ground clutching your throat gasping for fresh air. The choking sensation gets quickly replaced by a numbing feeling that has your eyes dropping and limbs tingling. You look at Heeseung with pleading eyes as he watches you falter to the ground further, you notice a familiar pair of white glowing eyes behind him before letting sleep take over your body.
Tumblr media
Waking up in a foggy haze, memories start to resurface in your mind, what a weird fucking dream. Trying to turn over a sudden sharp pain stabs into your wrists forcing your eyes open in a panic. After blinking a few times you take notice of your ankles and wrists tied to four wooden bed posts, not only that, but they were tied with vines. Vines that were laced in greenery and sharp thorns. If you struggled against them they would cut into your skin, blood was already starting to drip out of the wrist you tried to move.
“Sorry about that, darling. Sunoo’s fairy smoke isn’t really used on humans and we might have used too much on you. I’m so happy you’re awake now.” Heeseung smiles from the corner of the room.
“Heeseung please, let me go, I want to go home.”
“This is your home, darling, I’m your home.”
“I can’t stay here, my friends and family will come looking for me.” You start to let your tears spill, this all felt hopeless, it was becoming clear he wasn’t going to let you go.
“Darling, even if they did look for you, they could never find you here.” He taunts playfully as he gestures around the room you’re in. He steps closer to you as he removes his vest and tosses it aside, he unbuttons the first two buttons of his dress shirt as he steps closer to you. His fingers tap on your bleeding ankles, he runs the tip of his index finger along the bottom of the satin of your nightgown all the way up, stopping right at the top of your breasts. He traces the delicate lace that lined the top of the gown watching your nipples pebble from the action, he smirks, taking a handful of the fabric in each hand and tearing it down the middle exposing you to him.
“Heeseung! Stop!”
He rolls his eyes and tears another piece off of the fabric and balls it up. He grabs your jaw and forces your mouth open as wide as it could go with his fingers and shoves the fabric into your mouth gagging you. “Normally, I’d love to hear what you sound like when I fuck you. But if you’re going to be screaming nonsense at me, I’d rather not hear you at all.”
Trying not to pull on your limbs to stab yourself further on the thorns, you look up at him helplessly. He straddles your waist and starts to place wet open mouth kisses along your jaw and down to your neck, gently letting the tip of his tongue trace every vein. He takes the sensitive skin between his teeth and starts sucking harshly until it’s sure to leave a mark, his mark. You hate how much your body reacts to his touch, you don’t want this, but the uncomfortable stickiness growing between your legs speaks a different story.
You try to cry out but it's muffled by the fabric in your mouth. “You’re so beautiful, I’m so happy you’re finally home.” He mumbles into your soft skin. He kisses all the way down your body and stops above your clothed core. The way the vines had your legs spread open for him and had given him the perfect view of your clothed cunt. You looked so fucking perfect like this for him, all helpless and spread for him like a prized dessert. He bit his bottom lips as he ran his hand over the simple cotton fabric, he had been dreaming about seeing your pretty little pussy all swollen and needy for him, he wanted to see your tiny needy hole gaping and begging for him. Like your nightgown, he rips the fabric down the middle. He discards the torn fabric and places a loving kiss on your belly button as he lays flat on his stomach between your legs. “I’ve been dreaming about this moment for so long, darling.”
His face hovers above your core for a few seconds inhaling your scent before he spreads your folds apart and spits a wad of his saliva directly on your clit to help aid his movements. He uses three fingers to spread his spit around your clit as he watches your body shudder under him. You close your eyes and bite down on the makeshift gag as he applies more pressure to your clit. You hated how good it felt, and you hated how you could feel your arousal slowly start to seep out of you as you clench around nothing.
He notices
He smirks watching your body react to his touch, he stops rubbing your pussy and replaces his fingers with his mouth desperate to finally have a taste of you. You start panting heavily as you try to keep your legs from shaking to avoid being stabbed further by the sharp thorns. His warm tongue skillfully laps against your clit and sucks the nub into his mouth as he slips two of his thick fingers into your wet core.
His eyes immediately close as he lets your clit go with a pop of his lips and slurps the arousal that’s leaking out of you around his fingers, not wanting to waste a single drop onto the sheets. His perfect nose is buried hard against your clit as he licks and sucks messily desperate for more of your sweet arousal to leak out so he can satisfy his insatiable thirst for you. He had never tasted anything so sweet before, and he knew he was going to spend hours everyday with his mouth attached to your cunt.
Your legs try to close but the thorned vines dig further into your skin making you cry out in pain. He continues to suck on your clit as his thick long fingers explore inside your walls to prep you for his cock. He hums around you sending the vibrations straight to your lower belly, your thighs trembling around his face. He lifts his head up and stares at you with hooded dark eyes, “can you cum for me, darling?”
You whine around the gag feeling his fingers fuck into you faster and deeper, the pain in your wrists and ankles fading around the pleasure from your forced building orgasm. You can’t help the moans that try to escape your gagged mouth as you feel your orgasm building. He latches his mouth back onto your clit and sucks the sensitive flesh between his perfect teeth harshly. Your back arches off the mattress as your forced release gushes out of you soaking his entire hand and the lower half of his face.
He moans around you as he continues to suck on your now swollen clit and finger fuck you through your orgasm. He finally stops his movements when he hears you squeal behind the gag from the overstimulation as you try to wiggle away from his mouth and fingers. He watches you pant heavily as you stare at the ceiling desperate to catch your breath. Your limbs were shaking against the restraints and blood was staining the sheets under you. He left small kisses along your wet inner thighs, “Do you want to know what else is real about the fairy tales, darling?” He smiles against your skin.
You look down at him between your shaking opened legs and watch his gaze shift to the side of the room where a figure emerges. Your eyes widen as they flicker back and forth between Heeseung and Heeseung? The figure that emerged from the side of the room looked like a carbon copy of the man in between your legs, down to the attire. Fear and confusion make your entire body tremble in fear, you start crying again as the other Heeseung makes its way toward you two.
The other Heeseung wipes your tears off of your cheeks, “don’t cry darling. I’m going to take care of you.” The Heeseung between your legs speaks as he gets on his knees. The mysterious Heeseung figure doesn’t speak, he just stares at you with dark, curious and lustful eyes. But something about them felt strangely familiar. Heeseung stands up from the bed and starts to unravel the vines around your ankles as the other one works on the ones that are wrapped around your wrists, never making a sound or saying a word.
The relief was immediate, feeling the thorns being removed from your delicate skin. You start to reach for the wadded ball of fabric in your mouth but the Heeseung clone grabs your bleeding wrists and keeps you pinned to the bed with one of his hands. He strokes your face with the back of his free hand but the actions feel anything but soothing or comforting.
The real Heeseung stands and starts to remove his clothing piece by piece, while never breaking his eye contact with you. Heeseung makes his way back to the top of the bed and the clone pulls you into a sitting position, they exchange a silent look and the replica maneuvers you more forward so Heeseung can lean against the headboard. He beckons you with his finger and the other one lifts you effortlessly so that you’re hovering above Heeseung’s awaiting cock. You weren’t a virgin, but the generous size of him would surely have you struggling around him.
He taps his fingers on your lips that are wrapped around the drool soaked fabric, “if I pull this out will you be good? I don’t want to hear any nonsense. I just want to hear your pretty sounds.”
You nod aggressively and make a muffled sound around the fabric, “if you start acting out I’m going to gag you again. Understand?” He asks. You nod again, he grabs the wet fabric and pulls it out as you whine lightly and flex your sore jaw from the uncomfortable open forced position it was in. “Now, just relax and let me take care of you.”
He grips your hips and helps the clone guide you onto his length. The swollen mushroom tip forces its way inside of you, your forced arousal helping aid it further. You could feel every vein of his length as they both slowly slid you down onto him. Your mouth was open in a silent pained gasp as you stared at Heeseung with wide, wet, and pleading eyes. He watched you with his bottom lip between his teeth, relishing in the feeling of how tight you were around his aching cock. You started to tense and clench around him at the halfway mark, resisting to take him any further but the clone grabbed your shoulders roughly and pushed you down the rest of the way in a fast motion with no room for adjustment. You try to wriggle off of him but Heeseung’s grip on your waist is firm.
You were fully sitting on him as you fell forward on his chest sobbing uncontrollably, the stretch was painful, his fingers did nothing to prep you properly and you could feel him all the way to your belly button pulsing and throbbing inside of you. Heeseung grabs your face off of his chest and forces it back so he could slip his tongue inside your mouth, desperate to taste all of you. The figure stays behind you as it lifts your hips up and down on Heeseungs cock like you were some kind of fuck doll.
The figure starts kissing your shoulders and neck as Heeseungs stays exploring the inside of your mouth, licking every crevice and swallowing all of the spit you can’t swallow. The figure stays moving you in an up and down motion, you whine in pain but Heeseung swallows the pained sounds with his tongue. He pulls away from your mouth to latch it onto your right nipple and takes the left one between his fingers. The figure forces your back against its chest to give Heeseung better access to your chest.
Heeseung looks up at you with your nipple between his teeth, he wants to hear more of you. He pinches the other and twists it painfully causing you to gasp and whine loudly. You place your hands on his shoulders to try and pry him off of you but the figure stops you and forces your arms back at your side. Heeseung releases your nipple and places a wet kiss in between your breasts and smiles darkly at you when he feels you clenching around his cock, more of your arousal leaking out around him and dripping down his balls.
He shoots a glance at the figure behind you and you feel your body being pushed forward. Your breasts hit Heeseung’s bare chest as the figure behind you maneuvers around you behind you and you feel its hands roam over your bottom and spread your cheeks. You try to shoot up but Heeseung has his arms wrapped around you keeping you in place, he feels your pussy clenching harder around him and he groans.
“I’ve never done that before!” You panic trying to squirm away but they have a firm hold on you keeping you in place, “I told you if you spoke nonsense again, I’d gag you.” Heeseung scoffs, before you can respond he shoves three of his fingers into your mouth up to his third knuckle. You cough and choke around the digits, the clone uses the distraction to spit on your puckered hole before swirling the spit around the opening and pressing his thumb inside. You can’t move out of their grip and are forced to remain still around the uncomfortable intrusion as its thumb wiggles around inside of you, you continue to cry around Heeseung’s fingers in your mouth.
The figure slips its thumb out and coats two of its other fingers in your dripping arousal and slips them into the tight opening scissoring you open further. You cry out again and squeeze your eyes shut in pain. Heeseung feels you clench harder around him causing his already painfully aching cock to throb uncomfortably inside of you. He looks at the figure behind you again, clearly giving him another order, it retreats its fingers and lowers the slacks it's wearing and frees its cock out. It strokes itself a few times using its precum as lube.
You look at Heeseung with desperate pleading eyes knowing what was about to happen. “Be good for me, darling.” He kisses your wet cheeks and nods to the figure. You suck in a deep breath as you feel the other Heeseung line himself up to your tiny hole and start to push itself inside of you. You scream around Heeseung’s fingers as it continues to slide its way inside of you, ignoring the flailing of your legs and body until reaching its hilt. You scream until it hurts, Heeseung places kisses on every part of your skin he can reach trying to soothe you from the unbearable stretch. You pant heavily against Heeseung’s fingers while obscene amounts of drool drip down your neck and onto his chest.
The stretch and pain was unlike anything you had ever felt before, it burned, it was blistering hot and it felt like you were tearing and bleeding around the both of them, but the pressure. The pressure was the most unbearable. “You’re doing so good for me, darling.” He hums lifting your head so he could kiss around his fingers and lightly lick at the drool spilling out of your mouth. They don’t give you anytime for adjustments or comfort as they both start to move inside both of your holes.
They set a rhythm together, one pulling out as the other would enter in, in continuous vigorous thrusts. Heeseung finally removed his fingers and slipped his tongue back in your open mouth and licked comforting strokes against your tongue as you continued to cry at the excruciating pain. He reached down between you and started to rub circles on your swollen clit, making you whine as you clenched around both of them. The more you clenched around them, the more painful it was, forced to feel the full size and hardness of them.
The figure behind you grabs you from Heeseung’s mouth by the throat and pulls you against its chest making you look up at it while it continues to fuck your ass. Heeseung places both of his hands on your waist, he’s gripping you so tight he’s leaving his nail marks into your skin as he bounces you on their cocks faster. You stare into the eyes of the figure behind you as something strange begins to happen.
The brown eyes of the figure start to glow and they glaze over into white bright orbs, like the eyes you had continuously seen in the forest. The figure slowly starts to morph out of its skin and a black faceless apparition takes its place. Your mouth drops open as color drains from your face as the apparition continues to drill into you. Heeseung covers your mouth before you can scream, “the fairy tales were right about one thing, darling.” He grunts as the shadow continues to rut you harder on Heeseung’s and its cocks. “I have a mischievous shadow that likes to play.”
The shadow continues to hold you by the neck forcing you to stare into its white glowing eyes. You cry and squeal behind Heeseung’s hand that’s covering your mouth feeling them thrust into you mercilessly. The sounds go straight to the tip of Heeseing’s cock, as he hits your cervix with each painful punch of his thrusts, going deeper and deeper inside of you, both of them.
“I’m going to fuck you like this every day, darling.” He pants as his brows scrunch in pleasure, he was so fucking close. The shadow tilts your head down so you’re forced to look at Heeseung. “You’re all mine, I’ve waited for you for hundreds of years.” He looks deep into your eyes as he rests his sweaty forehead against yours, you can see the deranged psychotic look in his eyes as he speaks. The shadow reaches around and starts rubbing your clit at an inhumane pace making it hard to breath and your legs shake and tremble. You sob and shake your head behind his hand, you didn’t want this, you didn’t want this life.
Heeseung watches you intently as your eyes become wild the harder the shadow rubs your clit, your eyes roll to the back of your head as you scream against his hand as your gummy walls clamp around Heeseung’s cock and a gush of liquid sprays out of you, the force of it was almost enough to push his cock out of you. He groans loudly and ruts harder into you chasing his own high, not even caring about the shadow anymore, his movements are sloppy and desperate before his hips stutter against you and he lets out a primal groan from deep within his chest.  Thick and hot cum fill your womb, it feels like an obscene amount and you can feel your lower belly expanding from the weight of it all. Nothing about Heeseung was human.
The shadow pulls out of your other hole when Heeseung removes his hand from your mouth, it lifts you off of his softening cock and lays you onto your side next to Heeseung. You can feel both of your holes pulsing and gaping around nothing, you feel disgusting as you sob into your bloody shaking hands. Heeseung wraps his arms around you from behind you and pulls you closer to him. “I love you.”
Your cries start to slowly die down as you watch the shadow fly around the room before exiting the large open window. You squint your watery eyes as you try to see the outside view, you can only make out lots of emerald green treetops but the sky, the sky was what was confusing you. It was lilac, no sunlight, no darkness, just a lilac sky with white clouds and fairies flying around leaving traces of their light. This wasn’t the sky you were used to, this wasn’t the scenery you were used to. Heeseung kisses your bare shoulder from behind you and follows your bewildered gaze to the window, “welcome home, darling. Welcome to Neverland.”

— Revenge Sex
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
🏵️ — synopsis. James cheated. Remus is pissed off with some of James’s recent decisions. To get back at James (and because he likes you), Remus has sex with you.
🏵️ — warnings. Badly written smut. Weird plot. Pet names (pretty girl, darling). James is an absolute douche in this.
🏵️ — author’s note. I AM DOGSHIT AT WRITING SMUT. Wrote this on a whim. God bless. Hope this is okay.
It had been twelve days since you last saw James with his lips locked to some Huffleslut.
Twelve days of incessant badgering, pleading, apologies, and words words words. All in-person, all irritating.
Of course, today was no different. It had started with James ambushed you by slinging his arm over your shoulder when you stepped out of your house entrance. You shoved him away and kept walking with your friends to the Great Hall.
“Y/n! Wait up!” James called. You groaned in annoyance and walked faster with determination. He was the one that cheated! Why did he continue to follow you around?
His hand closed on your shoulder and he bent over to catch his breath. “Y/n, please just listen to what I have to say-“
You whipped around, anger evident in your eyes. “No, James Fleamont Potter. You listen to me. You cheated, not me. Clearly I wasn’t a good girlfriend and wanted to throw away a relationship for someone who just wanted to sleep with the popular guy. I don’t care. And before you start that ‘Oh! But y/n, I love you!’” You upped the pitch of your voice and brought your hands up. “That’s obviously a lie. If you loved me, you wouldn’t have even considered looking at that no-good, yellow-wearing, dirty rotten Hufflepuff slut! So just leave me the fuck alone!” You took a step back, pleasantly surprised when James didn’t move. “Thank you.”
You felt bad for not feeling guilty, but… you didn’t cheat. He did.
— 🏵️
   “Hi. Don’t get up. Please.”
You looked up. In front of you stood the infamous Remus Lupin. Confusion painted your face: what on Earth could he possibly want? “I… okay? What do you want?”
Remus sighed and scratched his head. His face screwed up in pain from reach up for his head. You knew why. After two and a half years of dating someone, you get to know their friends well. Honestly, Remus was probably one of the best friends you’d ever had. You both got along well and he wasn’t two faced. “This is gonna sound really weird, but… I want to get back at James.”
You pressed your tongue to the roof of your mouth and nodded. Pulling it back with a ‘click’, you tilted your head. “Why are you telling me this, Remus? I want nothing to do with him.”
“That’s the thing,” Remus went on. “He’s been a real prick lately to everyone and has been lashing out. Saying things, doing things. I’m tired of it, Sirius is tired of it- Merlin, Peter barely talks to us anymore since James… y’know…”
   “So… you want me to…?”
   “Sleep with me.”
Your mouth dropped open. Your face went slack and you stared at the man in front of you. There wasn’t anything that would make you not want to sleep with him. He was actually extremely good looking. Girls complained abut the scars, but you thought they suited him, made him stand out, and give him that ‘don’t mess with me’ energy. “Uh.” Blubbering like an idiot in front of James’s hot friend wasn’t a very comforting thought.
“You can say no. I understand why you wouldn’t,” Remus shrugged. “I wanted to really lay it on him and stuff but if you don’t want-“
“Fuck yes,” your muttered. “Sure. Anything. I don’t care.”
Swallowing, Remus examined you closely. “Really? I don’t want you to feel pressure or anything.”
“Remus, I want to. Now that you mention it, I kinda want to get some revenge on Potter,” you trailed off. “What better revenge then with his best looking mate?”
Remus scoffed. “‘Best looking’ is far fetched, but I’ll take it. When do you want to…?”
   “Does now work?”
A small laugh escaped Remus’s laugh at your coy expression. Your head was tilted dangerously and the corner of your lip was raised just so. Remus would be lying if he said he hadn’t thought of you in un-platonic ways while you were dating James, but wouldn’t dare saying anything. Now that James went and fucked up, what better way to get James back and indulge himself in you then now? “My dorm or yours?”
You accepted Remus’s outstretched hand and stepped closer to him. Hand pressing into the soft fabric of his shirt. “Might not make it to a dorm,” you mused, letting your hand trail down. “Mine. Girls like to gossip. Guarantee that Potter’ll hear the news before you even finish.”
Remus’s jaw twitched at your touch, feeling his muscles flutter under your hand. “Lead the way,” he rasped, hand wrapping around yours.
—🏵️
Remus barely had time to close the door before you pulled his face down to yours, capturing his lips with yours. You scrambled to unbutton his trousers as he fumbled to undo your bra clasp. When both items were gone and your shirts were shed, Remus picked you up and let your hands grab his face as he made his way to the delightfully large bed. Perks of being a prefect, apparently.
You yelped when Remus dropped you on the bed. He turned his attention to your pants, pulling them off and tossing them away. He smiled at the wet patch on your cotton underwear. “Who turned you on that much, y/n?”
“You, you fucker,” you replied snarkily.
Remus’s brows quirked. “I am a fucker, aren’t I? ‘M gonna be fuckin’ a girl this pretty. Not something I’m embarrassed about,” he said. You would have replied if he hadn’t dropped to his knees and pulled you towards the edge of the bed like a feather. Remus rubbed a thumb from the top of your clothed cunt to the end of the stain of arousal in your underwear. You twitched. “Like that, pretty girl?”
“I was promised a fuck, Remus Lupin,” you complained, failing to hide the breathlessly and need in your voice. You can’t remember the last time James did more than buty his dick in you for more than three minutes.
Remus pressed featherlight kisses to the cloth covering your soaked cunt. “Don’t get snippy. You’ll get what you were promised,” he grumbled.
You ground your molars together to avoid sqealing when Remus pried away your underwear and drove his tongue into your pussy. With nothing but the bed to grasp, you threaded your hands into Remus’s hair. He groaned at the feeling and sent leg twitching vibrations through you. “Fuck Remus,” you spat.
The dickhead just hummed. He moved his hands so you were pressed down by his left arm. Remus’s right pointer finger came to tease the entrance of your pussy, his tongue tracing your clit. As anticipated, you jerked at the stimulation. Remus watched you body shudder as he slipped his finger inside you, taking care to memorize how you looked from this angle. His finger curled and you jerked, a ragged moan drawn from your lips.
Remus fingered you good, you thought through a clouded mind. His fingers where long enough to find where you needed him without much time, and he seemed more than ready to give you what you needed.
“So good, Remus,” you moaned out, back arching into his mouth. “Fuck! Right there Rem, please,” you pleaded mindlessly, eyes screwed shut. Remus slipped a second finger into you, chuckling lowly at your breathless gasp.
It wasn’t long before you came on Remus’s face. Your cunt fluttered around Remus’s fingers and your hands gripped his hair hard. You came with a loud moan that sounded better than Remus imagined. Your voice trailed off and your breath hitched as Remus let you ride out your orgasm, drinking everything you gave him.
When you laid slack on the bed, Remus pulled his fingers out of you with a lewd squelch. He licked them while you watched his lust filled eyes take in your naked form. “You taste amazing,” Remus said, pulling his cum soaked boxers off of his throbbing boner. “Can’t believe anyone would ever think of leaving you, pretty girl.”
Remus crawled on top of you, turning your head to press his lips to yours in an oddly intimate kiss. He tastes like you. “You ready for my dick, pretty? Or are you too tired?”
You scoffed at Remus’s last question. “Don’t insult me like that, Lupin,” you muttered. You wrapped a leg around his back and looked between the two of you. “Fuck me already.”
Remus adjusted his hips, hesitant to bury his aching cock into you- raw. “Do you want me to wear a condom?”
“I have potions,” you answered, bucking your hips, teasing the head of Remus’s cock. “Don’t make me beg.”
“I’d actually love to see you beg, pretty girl,” Remus mused, sinking down into your needy pussy. He dropped his forhead into your shoulder as you let out a strangled moan at the penetration. “You’re so tight, y/n,” Remus rasped. “Squeezin’ me like I was made for you.”
Your hands came to grip his shoulder, biting down your mewls. “Please Rem,” you begged, sucking bruises into his skin. “Please.”
Remus started moving his hips. He knew he wouldn’t last long but the way your chest shuddered and how tight you were squeezing him, you probably wouldn’t last long either. “So tight, darling,” he grunted, snapping his hips roughly into you.
Your mouth fell open as you wrapped your legs around his waist, doing anything to to be as close to him as possible. “I need it, Remmy, please,” you sobbed, bringing him down to swallow your screams with feverishly hot kisses.
Of course, Remus complied. The lewd sound of your cunt swallowing Remus’s cock mixed with the sounds of your mewls and muffled moans was a beautiful mixture of sounds Remus tried to commit to memory. You gripped him like a vice, digging your nails into his skin with each thrust. “That’s a good girl,” Remus grunted as his pelvis met yours. You shook under him, eyes searching his. “Takin’ everything I’m giving you… so good for me,” Remus babbled.
You nodded, pressing your nose into Remus’s skin- anything to be consumed by him. “Please, Remus, I’m gonna cum. I need to cum, I need-“
“I know, pretty girl. I know. Cum around my cock, yeah? Be a good girl for me and cum,” he growled, burying himself deep inside you. You came with a loud moan, burying your sobbing face into Remus’s shoulder. His hot seed flooded your pussy, filling you with him. You whimpered and tightened your legs around him.
“Holy Merlin,” you whispered, thighs twitching as cum ran down your thighs.
“Remus is fine,” the lycanthrope replied wittily.
Your chuckled and let your head fall back on the bed as you caught your breath. “Shut up and take care of me,” you chuckled. “Please.”
Remus’s eyes softened. “Since you asked so nicely.”

that green gentleman (things have changed).
single.parent!sung jinwoo x fem!daycare worker reader
{ things have changed for me, and that's okay | i feel the same, i’m on my way, and i say | things have changed for me, and that's okay }
you had simply been tidying up the area, placing all of the toys back in its respective boxes as each child went home with their parent for the evening when you heard your coworkers groaning and talking amongst themselves.
"it appears the father of that child is asking us to keep an eye out for suho, since he's working overtime yet again at the station."
"goodness, i would stay back, but my husband's waiting for me."
"same here, i haven't even picked up my groceries for dinner yet!"
you look back to see the cute, 4 year old boy named sung suho remaining quiet, spending his free time drawing as he surrounded himself with a plethora of crayons. being familiar with suho and his father, sung jinwoo, you knew how difficult and challenging it was for a parent to raise their child on their own.
"sorry ladies, but i couldn't help but hear that sung jinwoo may be late in picking up suho?"
your coworkers heave out yet another sigh. "indeed; honestly, i wish i could stay back, but i've got my own errands to fulfill before i come home and prepare dinner."
"and my own husband is waiting for me as well..."
"if that's the case, why don't i stay here with suho and close up the daycare?"
your coworkers' eyes go wide, with them stating your name in an incredulous, but grateful manner. "you'd do that for us?"
"of course! you ladies go on and head home. i'll keep suho company and wait for his father to arrive later tonight."
after receiving their gratitude at least a hundred times, you watch as your coworkers pack up and leave the daycare, leaving you alone with the tiny boy.
smoothing your apron, you come closer toward suho, seeing a new stack of drawings settled next to him. no one else knew this, but you developed quite a fondness for suho, often admiring his imagination and how colorful his drawings were.
"hey there, suho. your papa says that he'll pick you up later, so since it's just me and you, you don't mind spending some time playing with me, do you?"
suho vehemently shakes his head while flashing you a wide smile that had a few gaps between his front teeth. "hello miss, and i don' mind playing with you til daddy gets here!"
you giggle along with him and press a finger against your lips, playfully telling suho to remain quiet (as if you were keeping a well kept secret), "since it's just us, how about i get you some snacks? would you like some pudding and strawberry milk?"
suho's eyes go wide as he presses both hands against his mouth, not saying a word as he gave you a series of nods.
"okay, i'll be right back with those snacks."
you bask in suho's sweet giggles, going into the fridge to grab a cup of pudding with a carton of strawberry milk. returning to suho, you help him open his pudding and milk while giving him a plastic spoon. as the toddler enjoys his snacks, you trailed your eyes over to the stack of drawings.
"mind if i look and admire your drawings, suho?"
suho simply gives you a nod with a spoon in his mouth. you thank him and pick up the stack of pictures, tracing over each crayon mark. there were lots of purple and black shadows that surrounded figures that appeared to be suho with his father. despite how malevolent the shadows seemed, the painted smiles on each of the shadows' faces dissipated any amount of concern you held. if these were suho's imaginary friends, then it was clear that they made him happy (with his favorite one being in the shape of a giant ant.)
as you turn the page, you saw a drawing that broke your heart. in it, suho and his father were settled on the couch while watching the television with a frown on their faces. on the screen was what appeared to be a blonde woman smiling with a microphone in hand as she waved at the cameras.
"that's mama." suho says with a bit of a sad tone. you nod and place the drawing of his mother back on the table for suho to see. he was frowning, pushing aside his empty cup of pudding while pointing a finger at her. "papa says she left when i was two... i don't remember her, but papa says she's happy in the t.v., singing and taking pictures."
"i see. your mom is very pretty?"
suho gives you yet another nod. "yeah, papa says she was so pretty that she left us."
suddenly, tears fill his grey eyes when he turns his gaze to you, filled with a desperation as he shakily asked, "did mama leave because i wasn't a good boy?"
"oh no, honey. no no no, this has nothing to do with you." you automatically bring suho into your embrace, gently caressing at his hair as he cried against your apron. "sometimes, adults have dreams they wish to achieve, too, and such dreams make them blinded. i'm sure your mama still loves and thinks about you, she just wishes to make her dreams come true first and foremost."
suho continues to cry while in your arms, yet still, you remain by his side, comforting him. you trace random shapes against his back while humming a lullaby. soon enough, the tears slowly begin to cease as you heard the soft sounds of his breathing.
with a fondness in your gaze, you turn suho around so that you were cradling him in your arms, rocking him back and forth while placing a gentle kiss against his forehead...
"suho." a deep yet breathless voice was heard calling out to the little boy, and as you trailed your eyes forward, you were met with what appeared to be a much older version of suho himself-
you were met with jinwoo, his father.
{ ... }
jinwoo was cursing all the way toward the daycare, berating himself for being so caught up in yet another cold case. the time was nearing 10 in the evening, which was past suho's bedtime as he rushed toward the daycare.
admittedly, ever since cha hae-in's departure (leading to their inevitable divorce), it was difficult for jinwoo to care for his son. of course, he had his loyal shadow soldiers that protected and kept watch over him-
but what suho needed was that soft, maternal touch he was certain his son had been deprived from when hae-in left and gave him complete custody. in her own way, jinwoo knew that hae-in loved her son-
yet the promise of being more than a simple housewife was a calling that such a gorgeous woman like his ex-wife could not ignore. she had big dreams when she was younger, but was unable to reach them until recently. their child was barely 2 years old when an agent caught sight of her and made her an offer she could not refuse.
jinwoo spent months arguing back and forth with his wife, wondering why their son wasn't enough (why he wasn't enough) to make her stay-
but in the end, he ultimately relented and let her go.
after all, he loved her enough to let her go and help her pursue her dreams-
even if it didn't involve either him or suho.
the memory of it all was enough to make jinwoo's heart twist, his hands clutching at the steering wheel when he arrives at the daycare, parking haphazardly before tossing the door open. he runs a hand across his unruly locks of hair, entering the building while calling out his son's name.
"suho-"
he trails his gaze forward, only to feel his throat closing up in response at the sight before him.
jinwoo sees suho in the embrace of a kind young woman. she meets his gaze while placing a finger up against her lips, humming a lullaby as suho remained asleep in her arms. his heart was racing, practically melting at the sight of her. when she finishes her lullaby, she beckons jinwoo closer, allowing him to take suho within his embrace.
he lets out soft coos of his son's name, feeling him stir the tiniest bit before settling within his arms. he looks back at the woman and thanks her, seeing her name tag while referring to her by her first name, "thank you, for caring for my son. and ah... i apologize for arriving so late."
she merely giggles, waving off his concern while taking off her apron, hanging it somewhere before grabbing her bag. "don't worry about it, mr. sung. it's tough working as an investigator. i don't mind spending a few extra hours keeping watch over suho until you pick him up."
jinwoo thanks the woman once more, this time with his eyebrows furrowed in response. "say, it's getting pretty late. is your boyfriend or partner picking you up?"
he hears a choked laugh coming from the woman. "ah, no mr. sung. i'm afraid i'm single and must take the train back to my place."
"the trains stop running by midnight, ma'am. you'll never make it." jinwoo tells her with a whisper of urgency. "i'm sorry, this is all my fault. let me give you a ride back."
before she could even protest, jinwoo's voice takes on a more authoritative tone. "trust me on this; it's late at night and you're a young woman. do you know how much the rates of assaults have increased this past year? there are millions of depraved men still out there."
his words end up striking a nerve within her, and he watches as she purses her lips before nodding, "well, okay mr. sung. if it isn't too much trouble-"
"don't worry, it's no trouble at all. after all, it's my fault that you had to be here so late. and please, call me jinwoo."
while keeping his sleeping son within his embrace, he watches the kind daycare lady shut off all the lights before locking up the daycare, following him to his car. as he opens up the backseat, he had a hard time getting a good grip on suho in order to transfer him to his carseat. it was during this moment that jinwoo witnessed her unconditional kindness once more.
like it was second nature to her, jinwoo watches as the woman gently ease suho away from his embrace, angling her body so that she had better access to the carseat. with gentle movements, she places suho in his carseat while buckling his seatbelt. "i'll remain in the backseat with this little guy. i can tell you my address as well."
taken aback by her easygoing nature and genuine kindness, jinwoo could only manage a nod in response, watching as she sits next to suho's carseat while he settles in the driver's seat in a bit of a haze. turning on his phone, he types in the woman's address and begins to back out of the parking lot.
with each stop light, jinwoo couldn't help but sneak glances at the kind woman, seeing the way she kept a protective arm around suho's carseat while looking out the window. seeing how soft and nurturing she was makes jinwoo smile, filling his heart with a warmth that he hadn't felt in a long time.
after what seemed like mere seconds, jinwoo arrives at her apartment complex. he was filled with a reluctance to see her go, especially when she gives suho a gentle kiss against his hair. "night little guy, i'll see you tomorrow."
giving jinwoo one last thank you, she exits the car and makes her way toward her apartment building, with jinwoo remaining parked in the front, not moving until she was completely inside of the building.
"papa..." jinwoo's ears perk when he hears suho calling out to him.
"yeah suho?"
jinwoo tilts his head back to get a good look at suho, seeing him yawn before telling him, "i really like her."
he hums in agreement, "well, you've got good tastes, suho. i really like her, too."
suho lets out another yawn before falling back asleep, making jinwoo smile as he started the car once more, thinking about how the next time he went to pick up suho that he'd need to place a soldier within her shadow...
{ ... }
you had fallen into a bit of a routine with jinwoo for the months that followed.
more often than not, jinwoo would end up working overtime at the station while you would always offer to keep watch over suho. and during those late nights when jinwoo picks suho up, he would always take you home.
but lately, it seemed as though you were steadily doing more... intimate activities.
for example, during the weekends where jinwoo was able to take some time off, he would pick you up after your shift at the daycare center and invite you out to dinner with him and suho. whether it be to a nice restaurant, or to a comforting, home cooked meal made by jinwoo himself-
it truly was nothing short of bliss to you.
and it was during moments like these that you found yourself falling utterly and irrevocably in love with the man named sung jinwoo. everything about him was just so perfect to you, and you found yourself thinking on how crazy his ex-wife was for leaving such a perfect family behind-
but you digress, since you were certain that it was simply the jealousy getting to you.
it was your day off, and you were simply doing mundane chores when you heard a knock at your door. drying your hands against a towel, you answer the door, only to feel your eyes go wide when jinwoo was found in front of your apartment. he was dressed comfortably in a black turtleneck sweater with matching jeans and a pair of converses, holding in his hand a bouquet of your favorite flowers.
"hey, do you mind spending the rest of your day with me?" he gives you a sheepish smile, placing the lovely bouquet within your hands. you felt flabbergasted, gaping a bit as you looked around for any signs of suho.
"suho's with my parents for the day, so it's just me and you." as if reading your mind, jinwoo reassures you, placing a hand within the pocket of his dark jeans.
"oh, well, yes! i don't mind spending my day off with you. hold on, i'll place these flowers within a vase, and i'll grab my bag, then we can go."
jinwoo chuckles while telling you to take your time, simply watching you while in your doorway as you fluttered around your living room. after filling a vase with some fresh water, you place the lovely bouquet inside and grab your purse from your room. you join jinwoo after locking your door, smiling up at him as he takes your hand in his.
feeling the heat against your cheeks, you remain silent, simply allowing jinwoo to interlock your fingertips together with his. "let's take a walk, there's something i'd like to talk to you about."
you nod, "okay, lead the way, jinwoo."
he tightens his hold on your hand, walking with you out of your apartment complex. remaining on the sidewalk, you walked for about 20 minutes before arriving at a nearby park. he keeps on walking deeper into the park, not stopping until arriving at a gorgeous garden filled with a rainbow color of blooms. spotting an empty bench in the midst of such a wonderful garden, jinwoo gestures at you to sit as he settles beside you.
you both remain quiet, simply admiring the scenery. you were in the midst of counting how many flowers there were in a single section when jinwoo calls out your name. you feel him taking a hold of your left hand and begin speaking.
"you have sparked a fire in me that i didn't think even existed anymore."
the way jinwoo's voice cracked made you look back at him, your eyes being filled with empathy. you felt him giving your hand a squeeze when he meets your gaze. "ever since my ex wife left me to pursue her dreams, i buried myself in my work to forget about the pain of her abandonment. i did my best to raise suho on my own because of how much i love him, but it hasn't been easy.
what suho needs is a nurturing touch of a mother. he needs a gentle and kind love, that unconditional type of love that his own biological mother was unable to give.
truly, i was at a loss; uncertain of what i could even do to help him fill that void. and when i felt as though i were close to giving up and losing it all, that's when you came into my life."
your breath hitches in response to his confession, feeling him reaching out to you with his free hand as he cupped at your face. "you were like the sole beacon of light my soul was searching for. when i saw you that night, cradling my son so gently within your embrace, i knew that my heart was yours."
jinwoo finally lets go of your hand, making you let out a gasp when you saw a beautiful diamond engagement ring settled against your left ring finger. "j-jinwoo-"
"i know, i know, you may find me to be a rash man, proposing to you so suddenly, but i obtained such a trait from my own father." jinwoo lets out a rich chuckle while pressing a kiss against your ring finger, "the sungs have always been men who knew what they wanted and would do anything to pursue it-
and the only thing i want is you..."
jinwoo's eyes begin to glow purple just then, and you felt him framing at your face as he presses kisses that were no heavier than dew against your parted lips, "so please, marry me. make me and suho the happiest boys in the world. suho needs you- i need you in order to feel whole again."
with tears streaming down your face, you lean forward to press your lips against jinwoo's in a searing kiss, knowing that you would simply be a fool to reject his proposal.
[ epilogue ]
suho was getting ready for his first day of school, face frowning into the mirror as he kept trying to adjust his bowtie-
yet still, it seemed like no matter what he did, it forever remained within its lopsided state. with a pout, he stomps his feet and marches his way over to you.
"mom! i can't get this!"
you giggle and put aside the book you were reading, resting a hand over your rounded belly as you beckoned your son closer to you, "come here, sweetheart, let mommy help."
suho hums, remaining still like a good boy as you fixed his bowtie, settling it perfectly in the middle of his shirt. he gives you a toothy grin and leans down to kiss your stomach. "mwah! is my baby sister ready to come out yet?"
"not quite yet, honey, but soon, just have patience, okay?"
suho gives you another pout, ready to say something else when jinwoo's whistle was heard echoing throughout the house, "come on, suho! it's time for school! give your mama and little sister one more kiss, and i'll take you!"
suho listens to jinwoo's words, giving your cheek and your rounded belly yet another kiss before skipping away from you and toward his father, "bye mama!"
jinwoo gazes down at his son with a fondness, catching your stare while giving you a wink before leaving the house. and as your husband and son departs, you were aware of the shadowy wisps that surround you, making you smile as you knew that you would forever be protected by the man who was the absolute love of your life.

Hey! I love the 3 times you tried to confess and the time it finally works. The story you did for Sanji. I'm interested in how it would go with Zoro. Please and thank you 😁
Three Times You Tried to Confess to Zoro and The One Time That You Did
A/N: HIIII i had so much fun writing this i hope you love this just as much as i do!! And thank you @tetzoro for letting me bounce my ideas off of you!! Pairing: Zoro x reader CW: Mild onigashima spoilers in the last two chunks. WC: 1.8k
You had spent the entire day psyching yourself up to confess to Zoro. Another serene day at sea had finally come and it seemed that nothing could ruin this moment. You were sitting in the crows nest, accompanying Zoro as he worked out.
As he completed another set, Zoro paused to catch his breath, wiping the sweat from his brow. He looked at you, curiosity evident in his features. “You’ve been awfully quiet today.,” he remarked.
You smiled nervously, feeling the butterflies in your stomach start to flutter. “Yeah, just thinking,” you replied, the nervousness accidentally peeking in your tone.
Zoro nodded, picking up his water bottle taking a swig from it. He placed the water bottle down before asking, “What’s on your mind?”
You took a deep breath as you tried to steady your heart. Now was your chance. This was your moment to say what’s on your mind. “I uh…” you trailed off, words evading you. He was staring at you at this point, wondering what you had to say. You decided to just rip off the bandage and say it. “Zoro I l-”
The hatch to the crows nest swung open and Sanji's head popped up, that beaming smile on his face interrupting your words. “There you are!” he exclaimed, climbing up with a tray in his hands. He waltzed over to you, flashing that charming smile of his before declaring, “I made a special treat for you. Thought you might like something that’s just as sweet as you are.”
You glanced at the tray, which held an intricately made dessert, made specially for you. You took the treat off the tray, thanking him. “Oh, thank you, Sanji. That’s very kind of you.”
Sanji’s smile widened and you swear you could see heart eyes forming by the second. “Anything for you, my dear,” he said with a wink.
You felt your face heat up; not from the behavior from Sanji, rather from the frustration of your confession being interrupted. You still smiled at him, hiding your displeasure. Before you could say anything, though, you noticed Zoro’s expression darken. He scowled at Sanji, his fists balling up.
“Oi, curly-brow,” Zoro growled, “we were in the middle of something.” Sanji straightened up, his eyes narrowing. “Is that so, marimo? I didn’t notice anything important.”
Zoro took a step forward. “Yeah, well if you weren’t always butting in where you’re not wanted–”
Sanji bristled, taking a step closer to Zoro. “And maybe if you-”
The tension in the room escalated rapidly as the two began to bicker and go head on. You quietly backed out of the crows nest, leaving the two to their argument. You’d find another moment, you told yourself. One where you could have Zoro’s undivided attention, without the interference of well-meaning crewmates.
- - - You had been waiting for the right moment to confess your feelings to Zoro. The shared moments, the silent understandings, the ephemeral glances had all accumulated to this built up courage. Now seemed more perfect than ever– the waters were calm, there were no signs of danger approaching the ship, and you’re sitting right next to the man who you hope to call your lover.
“Zoro,” you began, your voice quiet, but steady. He turned his head slightly, acknowledging you with a grunt with his gaze focused on the gorgeous orange golds of the sunset that painted the sky as the sun made its descent. You took a deep breath, collecting your thoughts and more importantly, your courage. “There’s been something I’ve been meaning to tell you.”
You glanced down at the deck below, eyes following the patterns of the wood with your eyes as you attempted to remain calm. The words you had rehearsed so many times in the mirror seemed to just turn into mush, and your throat suddenly felt dry. You glanced back at Zoro, only to see him still looking at the sunset.
“I…I’ve been wanting to tell you this for a while now,” you continued, your voice carrying a tremor. “It’s just that… spending all this time with you, I’ve come to realize how much you mean to me.”
You could feel heat rising to your cheeks, and your eyes darted around, refusing to focus on him in fear of possible rejection. Your heart was running a marathon, and the anticipation nearly killed you. You had imagined this moment so many times, but now that was happening, you couldn’t help but feel a sense of anxiety and you could only hope that he felt the same.
“I… I think I lo–”
A soft sound interrupted your words. You paused, not daring to look up to confirm your suspicions. That sound can’t possibly be… You looked up and saw Zoro sitting beside you, his head tilted slightly forward, eyes shut and a peaceful expression on his face as he snored. Your heart filled with an immense disappointment that his need for sleep had stolen your moment, but you couldn’t help but feel a slight sense of relief knowing that the pressure of the confession was momentarily lifted off of your shoulders for another day. - - - Zoro lay unconscious, his body battered and bruised from the fight with King. Chopper was working frantically, his small hives moving quickly to stabilize Zoro’s injuries. You were right there by his side, your heart heavy with worry.
You couldn’t stop the tears from streaming down your face as you watched chopper tend to him. His face was pale and his breaths came in shallow uneven rasps. The sight tore at your heart.  “Zoro,” you whispered, your voice choked with emotion. “You have to pull through. You always do. You’re the strongest person I know, and I need you to keep being that strong.’
Chopper glanced up at you, his eyes filled with concern, “He’s tough. He’ll make it. He’s just got a lot of internal injuries that I need to focus on,” he muttered in concentration.
You reached out and gently took Zoro’s hand, your own fingers trembling. “Zoro, I love you,” you said, your voice cracking. “And I need to say that to you while you’re awake and can hear me, so you better pull through, goddammit.”
Chopper’s hands faltered for just a moment, his eyes widening in surprise. He looked up at you as he said, “W-well, it’s about time you admitted it.”
You couldn’t help but chuckle through the tears at Chopper's comment. “Was it really that obvious?” you asked, your tears dripping off your chin and falling onto yours and Zoro's clasped hand.
“Yes, it was.” Chopper started. “It’s also obvious how he loves you too. So I’m going to focus now so that I can get him conscious for you.”
You nodded at Chopper, and you shifted so you were by Zoro's head. You leaned down, resting your forehead against his as you declared in a whisper, “I love you, Zoro.” Your tears mixed with the sweat, blood and grime on his skin as you continued, “I should have told you sooner. I should have told you a thousand times. But I’ll tell you now, and I will tell you again when you wake up, and I will tell it to you until it is my dying words.” - - - The days following Kaido's defeat were filled with joy and celebration by everybody on Wano. Everybody except for you. Your heart was filled with anxiousness as you waited day by day, hoping that Zoro would wake up. You had taken on the task to spend most of the last couple of days by Zoro and Luffy’s side. This was just your excuse to be close to Zoro so you would be right there the moment he woke up.
You noticed a slight movement. Zoro’s fingers twitched, and his eyelids fluttered. You leaned forward, your heart racing. “Zoro?”
His eye slowly opened, a groan escaping his lips as he adjusted to the light. He blinked a few times before his gaze settled on you. “Hey,” he croaked, his voice hoarse from days of disuse.
Tears welled up in your eyes as relief flooded you. “You’re awake,” you whispered, a smile breaking across your face.
He tried to sit up, but you gently pushed him back down. “Take it easy, you’ve been through a lot.” you said softly. Zoro’s head turned and his focus landed on Luffy, who was still unconscious besides him. “Luffy?” he asked, his concern evident. “He’s still resting,” you replied. “Chopper says he’ll be fine. You both just need some time to heal.” Zoro nodded, his gaze returning to you. “You stayed here?”
“Of course,” you said, your voice trembling. “I couldn’t leave you. Not after everything.”
There was a moment of silence, and Zoro shifted slightly to get more comfortable. “You look exhausted,” he said. “Have you been getting any rest?”
You chuckled, shaking your head. “Not really. I was too worried about you.”
A smirk tugged at Zoro’s Lips. “You know you don’t have to worry about me so much. I’m tougher than I look.”
You gave him a half hearted smile, running your fingers through his hair. “I know. But it doesn’t stop me from worrying.”
Zoro's gaze softened, and he reached out, taking your hand in his. Your heart pounded at the gesture, and you took a deep breath, feeling the words rise to your lips. “Zoro, I…” He looked at you, raising an eyebrow as your demeanor suddenly shifted at your own words. It was then that you finally ripped off the band-aid. “I love you, Zoro,” you blurted out, unable to contain it any longer. “I love you so much, and I should have told you a long time ago when I first realized it. But now I just need you to know how much you mean to me and how much I care about you.”
For a moment, Zoro was silent, his eye searching yours. Then, a slow smile spread across his face, the kind of smile that you could only hope to pull out of him more in the future. “You took your time,” he said, his tone teasing yet tender.
You laughed through your tears, the sound a combination of relief and joy. “Yeah, I guess I did.”
Zoro's grip on your hand tightened, his eye never leaving yours. “I love you too,” he declared. “I always have. I just… didn’t know how to say it.”
You leaned in, pressing a gentle kiss to his forehead. “Well, now we both know.”
A content sigh escaped his lips, and that teasing edge made an appearance once again as he said “you missed, by the way.”
You looked at him confused for a moment before you realized he meant the kiss. You chuckled and leaned in, brushing your lips against his as you whispered, “I love you so much.” His eye fluttered closed as he kissed you back, his lips soft and warm against yours. In that moment, you knew that your heart had chosen the right man to be the love of your life.

Racing up the two flights of stairs to your apartment door, a slightly out-of-breath Spencer double-checks the time. “48 minutes,” he notes.
“I hope you haven’t already used up all of your energy already, Dr. Reid.”
He smiles and scoffs, “Once I catch my breath, you’re gonna wish you hadn’t joked about that.”
You give him a quick kiss, turn your key, and push your door open.
Clothes are immediately coming off and being thrown onto the floor between sloppy kisses. Spencer sets a few alarms on his phone so that you aren’t late getting back.
You tell Spence to sit on the edge of the bed and get on your knees in front of him, feeling thankful for your soft, plush carpet.
“I need to give you some good visuals to think about since I don’t know how long you’ll be gone, baby.”
“I can’t imagine we’ll be gone for that long–,” you cut him off by taking his cock into your mouth. His head rolls back as his breath comes out stuttered. “Oh, fuck yes. Good girl.”
Spencer pushes your hair out of your face and rubs his thumb across your cheek. Meeting his eyes, you sense nothing but love and adoration. He tries to take a mental snapshot of you like this, on your knees, looking up at him while you suck his dick. It’s moments like these that Spencer really wishes he had a photographic memory.
“You look so fucking good taking me in your mouth, sweet girl.”
He leans back onto his wrists as he watches you work, becoming even harder in your mouth.
Looking up at him like this, chest heaving, jaw agape, brows pinched, pleasured distress painted across his face? This is an image you want to keep.
With every bob of your head, a breathy moan slips out of him. Music to your ears.
In the past, sucking dick wasn’t really your thing. The few exes that you went down on would just face-fuck you. It was never that enjoyable for you, but you did it for your partner because you just thought it was an act of service; one not meant to be pleasurable for you.
Going down on Spencer feels so different. His hands in your hair aren’t to force you down. The pads of his fingers perfectly massage your scalp. Hearing Spencer sing your praises, feeling him grow harder in your mouth, the slight saltiness of his pre-cum. It always has you throbbing.
He taps your shoulder and guides you to stand with him, kissing you passionately as your hands roam each other’s body. The taste of his cock mixes with the taste of his mouth in yours. His wet lips trail kisses up your jaw and down your neck. He can’t stop and you definitely don’t want him to.
A shiver shoots down your spine with every quiet moan and whimper he makes at your ear between kisses. His hands grip the flesh of your ass as he pulls you into his body, grinding your body against his hard, wet cock as you ache of emptiness.
Between kisses, he says, “Need you, baby. Please.”
You crawl onto your bed and lay face down, your pussy and ass bared to him at the edge of the bed. Spencer gently runs his fingers down your back. A chill of anticipation runs through you. A sharp moan escapes you as a flat palm hits your ass, barely enough to sting.
“You’re in that type of mood, huh?” you laugh.
Another spank to the same spot, ever so slightly harder, gets a whiny moan out of you.
“Tell me what you want,” he commands. Even when he shifts to being more dominant, Spencer always just sounds desperate for you.
“Fuck me, daddy?” Your words alone elicit a groan from him that has you arching your back to push your ass further towards him.
He lines his cock up and glides the head between your wet lips, coating himself in you.
“Are you sure, pretty girl?” His hands grip your hips, and he pushes himself into you just enough to not slip out. “Do you want daddy to fuck you like this?”
You moan and nod your head against the fabric of your comforter.
He sinks into you fast and hard, bottoming out. The fullness you’d been aching for hits you all at once, and you whine at the immense pleasure.
The dominance Spencer had exhibited moments prior slips momentarily as he reacts to your pussy wrapped around him.
“God, I love you. So good. Fuck, baby girl.”
He begins moving again as your bodies adjust, first just small movements. You reach your arm underneath you and rub small circles over your wet, throbbing clit.
“Yeah, you touching yourself for me, baby?” His thrusts speed up and he runs his hands down the sides of your body.
“Yes, daddy,” you moan, encouraging him.
“Such a good girl for me. You always look so fucking pretty taking daddy’s cock. Did you know that, my love?”
It doesn’t take much for you to cum today. You didn’t even get much warning, yourself. The sensation of his cock thrusting, repeatedly filling you while you play with your clit. The smack of his hips hitting your ass. His heavenly moans and praise filling your ears. It hits all at once as tears make your vision hazy.
“Daddy—Cumming. I’m—”
“Yes, baby girl. Don’t stop. Let it all out. Such a good girl cumming on daddy’s cock.”
The waves of your orgasm are strong on their own, but you’re also hit with all of the emotion you’ve been repeatedly shoving down and avoiding, bubbling up to the surface. Your body is just so overloaded right now that you’re shaking and moaning. It’s all too much, but you don’t want any less from him right now. He feels too fucking good, physically and emotionally.
“Come here,” he says, helping you reposition so that the upper half of your body is arched into him.
His arms wrap around you from behind, one hand cupping your boob while the other holds you in place at your waist.
In this position, he’s forced to thrust slower, but still hard. He leaves kisses at the back of your neck, behind your ear, and across the top of your shoulder. With each thrust, he’s sloppier.
“It’s so fucking hard not to cum, baby. Do you know how good that pussy feels when you’re cumming? How hard it is to not fill you up immediately? I wanted to feel all of it this time, though. I needed to fuck you through it because you’re being such a good girl for me, today.”
His breathy moans and whispers of praise do nothing to help your body come down from your orgasm. Your ass padding his thrusts changes the angle, the head of his cock stroking your g-spot. The hand that isn’t holding you at the waist flip-flops between caressing your neck and pinching your nipple. He knows your body so damn well. If you weren’t starting to worry about the time, you’d probably be close to cumming again.
Unfortunately, you can’t just say “fuck it” and stay in this bed forever, though, and you know you need to start wrapping this up.
Might as well enjoy the last of it.
“Have I been a good enough girl to get your cum, daddy?”
His hips buck into you hard.
“Fuck yes.” He stops. “But I need to see that perfect face when I do.”
He pulls out of you causing you to shutter from the sudden emptiness. You flip onto your back, butt at the edge of the bed and knees tucked up so you don’t fall off the edge of the mattress.
With your legs slung over his shoulders, he’s back inside you where he belongs. His thrusts build in pace, bringing himself close to that edge again.
“Is this how you want to fill me up, daddy?”
“God, yes. This pussy was made for me. You’re so fucking perfect.”
He leans over you, further pushing your legs down, and wraps his hands at the back of your head. With each deep thrust, he’s pulling your body into him.
“Made for you, baby,” you repeat.
“How the fuck are you mine?” he cries, like he truly can’t fathom it.
All it took was one please.
Looking into his beautiful eyes, you softly plead, “Spence, please cum for me, baby.”
And he lets go.
“Fuck,” he cries. His last thrusts are hard but sloppy. “Such a good girl, taking my cum.” Your nails rake down his back. “Oh my god, you feel so good, baby girl.”
His breaths come out as shuddered sighs. You pull him down to kiss you as the final few jerks work their way through his body.
He tastes so good. There has to be some psychological and/or physiological reason that you love the taste of him this much. You’ll have to ask Spencer about that later because, if anyone would know, it’s him.
Early in your relationship, you’d catch him reading articles and books about sex (which he didn’t need any help with) and relationships.
Hello, green flags.
“God, I probably smell horrible now,” Spencer gripes as he turns off the two alarms on his phone.
“Come here. Let me smell you.”
You lean into him, but don’t smell anything offensive.
“I mean, you smell fine to me, but to be fair, we both probably smell sweaty.” You pull out your best puppy-dog-eyed pout and put on a cringe-worthy cutesy voice. “I’m sorry for making you all messy, Spence.”
You break out into laughter as soon as he does. He brings his mouth to your ear and your smile falls. “Can you still feel my cum leaking out of you, baby? I think you might be the messy one out of the two of us. I want you to think about that when I’m on the jet and you’re still feeling my cum leaking out of you.”
He passionately kisses you while you’re still choking on his words.
As he pulls away from your lips and you snap out of your daze, you playfully swat his chest and whine, “Fuck you. Now I’m sad and I’m horny again.”
“Sad and horny is the Spencer Reid special, baby.”
You just roll your eyes at him.
After finding your pants near the front door and slipping them on again, you catch sight of the time. Spencer has to be back in 21 minutes at the latest, which may seem like a lot of time, but is far from it.
“Almost ready, Spence?” you yell back into the bedroom.
“I just have to put my shirt back on! I’m using a washcloth to wipe some of the sweat off me.”
“Okay, well, hurry with those buttons! I just need to put my shoes on and then I’m going to fix my hair and makeup in the car!”
***
On the very short car ride back with the AC on full blast, you two plan how to arrive back at work without raising suspicions. Spencer, being the expert on behavior between the two of you, quickly coaches you. You’ve been navigating this minefield of criminal profilers for well over a year, but the post-sex clarity says that the lunch break sexcapade was probably not the smartest idea.
“What about Penelope?” you ask, knowing you have to spend the rest of the day lying directly to her face again.
“Stick to your story. Internalize it as the truth to the best of your ability.”
Spencer grabs his go bag out of his trunk on the way in, and since it’s more important that he’s up there before you are, he heads back first. You follow a minute behind him.
Hotch turns the corner out of the bullpen and spots you as you get off the elevator. “Y/N, I’m glad I caught you before we leave.” He gestures for you to walk with him down the hallway, you have to speed walk to match his long stride. “Our flight to Gainesville is two hours. While we’re on the jet, I need you and Garcia to see if you can get anything from the tattoo database using the photos we got from the ME. Also, start on a ViCAP search, if you haven’t already.”
“Of course, sir. Before we left for lunch, Garcia had started digitizing the tattoos, so they’d be more effective when searching the database, and I started on the ViCAP search. We’ll get those finished A-S-A-P.”
“Good. Call me if you find anything.”
“Have a safe flight, sir!”
Hotch continues down the hall, leaving you just outside your office. Something tugs within you, wanting to turn around. Spencer’s just around the corner, probably sitting at his desk. Your heart pulls you in one direction, but logic and reasoning pull you in another as you grab the door handle in front of you.
You just got to see him. You need to stay focused on work.
***
Penelope’s working away at a frenzied pace, but noticeably, she doesn’t turn to greet you like she usually does.
“Status update, hot stuff?” you ask.
“Tattoo database has turned up nothing so far, but it’s still running. I need you to finish up with that ViCAP search.”
Her tone is sharp but holds an air of restrained pain. She’s extremely upset about something.
You tested the waters with your “status update” question and discovered that the waters were, in fact, radioactive.
“That’s what I’m getting back to right now,” you say, sitting down at your desk and logging in to your computer. This unease is heavy; crushing, almost. “Hey, Pen...?” She shows no sign of acknowledgement. “Do you want to tell me what’s up?”
“Nothing’s up,” she spits out, fully gluing her eyes to her monitor.
If she were upset about something to do with the case, she would have told you already. The FBI offers free and unlimited access to mental health care due to the nature of your job, but when you guys face something distressing, you always immediately lean on each other. You’ve cried into each other’s arms many times within these four walls.
“Do you feel up to a sleepover tonight?” you quietly ask her.
Since you made the move to Quantico, girl’s nights and/or sleepovers have become a fairly regular occurrence. The weight of what you deal with at work—though you know it’s important—would be crippling without some sort of outlet. Asking her for a sleepover is asking her to talk about whatever’s bugging her.
Since you’ve started dating Spencer, it’s been harder to balance your time between the two of them, especially since Penelope thinks you’re single. You’ve told a few white lies about needing to get caught up on sleep or feeling a bit under the weather to fit in more nights with Spencer when he’s not away on a case. His schedule has made things hard, but it’s so worth it.
Penelope stops typing at your question but continues staring at her monitor. Her voice is strained as she speaks; she’s on the verge of tears.
“I still love you and I always will, but I am really upset with you.” She swallows hard. An arrow shot straight through your heart would probably hurt less than this. “We need to focus on this case right now, though, and then I need to organize my thoughts. Come over at seven. But pick up my Ben & Jerry’s on the way because I’m out and I need some of that frozen, delicious goodness to cope.”
Cherry Garcia. Her favorite flavor and a staple of your movie nights. It’s a bit on the nose to be her favorite, but you suspect that’s a part of why she likes it so much. You make a mental note to stop at the corner store en route to her place.
She’s never been this upset or acted this hurt during any of your past fights. But you don’t even know what you did wrong.
It’s not like you missed her birthday, right? You mentally reaffirm both today’s date and Penelope’s birthday and, nope, definitely not about her birthday. She wasn’t mad this morning, right…?
You stop yourself as gears in your head begin to churn, looking for answers you know you won’t find right now.
You search for an item on your borderline-cluttered desk to calm yourself with. Glittery blue eyes immediately grab your attention. You grab a small plush cat that you’ve named Buttercup (because what type of monster doesn’t name every plushie they own?). While petting its soft fur, you focus in on the sparkly pools of turquoise and take a few deep breaths.
You nod at Buttercup, telepathically thanking it for its positive effect on your stress-levels and carefully place it back onto its perch—one of your computer speakers. This case is the most important thing right now.
Your ViCAP search comes up empty for any possibly-related cases, but shortly after, you have a new breadcrumb trail to follow when the Cedar Key Police Department reports another murder.
You and Penelope video call the team while they’re in the air to brief them on what you know about the newest victim. Until the team speaks with the local ME when they land, you won’t know have a ton to work with. In the meantime, you and Penelope will work with what you’ve got, digging into this victim’s background, their friends and family, and any cell phone and financial activity.
Seeing Spencer on the video call hurts extra today. It always hurts knowing that he’s flying away from you for (and, for who knows how long), but sneaking around with him earlier and Penelope being so upset has you more on edge than usual. You’re longing to be back in his arms where you know you’re safe and, more importantly, where you know that he’s safe.
The tension in your small office remains high throughout the day, but you both remain professional and focused on the case. As soon as the workday ends, Penelope locks up her desktop, packs her bag, and leaves. You make another mental note to grab a bottle of her favorite wine on the way. You have a gut feeling that tonight’s going to require more than just ice cream.

Leather and Cinnamon | Wolfstar Bingo
It's that time of the year again! The @wolfstarbingo2024 is here.
I'm supposed to be working hard on my Big Bang fic so naturally I instead spent the whole day writing 13k words of... well, this.
I've had this idea for a long time and I think I started it over a year ago, but now I finally found the inspiration to finish it (while also crossing off one of my prompts). So here it is.
Title: Leather and Cinnamon Pairing: Wolfstar Rating: E WC: 13.2k Prompt: One night stand Summary: Remus hasn't got laid in a while, but that's okay. That's fine. He's been busy raising a son, thank you very much.
Now, however, Teddy is off to university and when Remus goes to Brighton to drop him off, they stumble over a coffee shop in the south lanes. It's a cosy little place with a barista who has silver eyes and pale skin and an arse to die for.
Remus hasn't got laid in a while, but that's okay. That's fine.
Read on AO3.
Snippet below the cut:
“I’ll order,” Teddy said as they entered the coffee shop, nodding towards a table by the window. “You can take a seat.”
“Oh really?” Remus asked, a little amused. “You’re paying too, then?”
“Obviously not,” Teddy remarked casually. “I’m a poor student, remember?”
“Sometimes I think you just spend time with me for my wallet.” Remus sighed wistfully but Teddy merely grinned at him, snapping his fingers.
“Money, please.”
“Maybe I want to order,” Remus said, but Teddy was already snatching the note from his fingers.
“Please,” Teddy scoffed. “Like I’d trust you with my order.”
Remus looked fondly as his son sauntered off towards the bar, unable not to smile to himself. He honestly couldn’t get his head around the fact that he had an 18-year-old son who was now heading off to university all on his own.
It had felt bittersweet, packing up Teddy’s boyhood room. He knew the day would come eventually, and even though he was excited for his son, he couldn’t help but feel a bit sad as well. They had driven down to Brighton together, their old little car stuffed full of (almost) everything that Teddy would need for the coming few months.
They had spent the day getting his room in order before Remus decided it was time for him to head back home. Teddy had agreed to a coffee before he left though, and Remus was set on making the most of the time he had left with his son while he still had the chance.
The café they had picked was in the south Lanes and had a bright red door with rainbow flags decorating the windows. It was the name that had drawn Remus in though, Baskerville’s Hound written in bold letters over the painting of a big, black dog.
The place itself was cosy enough, with paintings decorating the walls together with black and white photographs of Brighton and random people. The walls were painted in a dark blue colour and the furniture was all mismatched and clearly second hand, but still in good shape.
Teddy returned without drinks, pulling out the chair opposite Remus and slumping down on it, shrugging as Remus raised a questioning eyebrow at him.
“They’ll bring it out,” he said, slouching back on his chair.
“Any chance you got a change on that twenty?”
“Sorry.” Teddy grinned at him, pushing a hand through his longish hair, currently a bright orange. Remus had long since accepted that Teddy opted to change his hair colour as often as other people changed clothes, and he enjoyed seeing him explore. “Consider it a contribution towards your only child’s education.”
“Ah, yes, never mind the 9K tuition fee,” Remus deadpanned. “It’s the change on the coffee that’s going to make the real difference.”
“I’ll need pocket money.”
The corner of Remus’ mouth twitched. “You need money for beer, you mean.”
Teddy threw his arms out. “It’s uni life, Da.”
Remus snorted just as the barista approached the table, clearing his throat.
“A latte with a dash of cinnamon and…whatever this monstrosity is,” the barista said, and Remus tore his gaze away from his son to the man standing next to their table.
Remus found himself doing a double-take at the sight of him. He didn’t know why he’d expected a student, but this man looked to be roughly his age. He was tall, muscular, with tattooed arms and wearing a simple white tee-shirt underneath a light apron with a large black dog printed on the front of it.
There was the hint of a stubble over his very chiselled jaw, high cheekbones and long, black hair pulled back in a ponytail. It was his eyes, however, that caught Remus’ attention. They were a light sort of grey that reminded Remus of silver, seemingly drawing in the light around them. They were dancing with something that looked like amusement as Teddy sat up excitedly.
“That’s mine,” Teddy said eagerly, reaching for the tall glass topped with a hefty dollop of whipped cream. “Cheers, mate.”
“I take it you’re the sensible one then,” the man said, the corner of his mouth twitching as he turned his gaze on Remus, placing the mug in front of him with a little wink. “Enjoy.”
Remus couldn’t help staring as the man walked away, gaze taking in the dark jeans and heavy boots.
“Earth to Da!”
Teddy’s voice pulled him out of his thoughts and he flinched, accidentally burning his hand as his coffee sloshed over the rim of the mug.
“Fuck,” he hissed, grabbing a napkin to wipe up his spill and when he looked back up, Teddy was watching him with a mischievous sort of twinkle in his eyes.
“You alright?”
“Yeah,” Remus replied quickly, clearing his throat as his voice came out weirdly rough. “Fine.”
“I said, are you coming down with Ma next week?”
“Oh,” Remus said, taking a sip from his coffee to distract himself momentarily. “Dunno, mate. D’you want me to?”
“You don’t have to,” Teddy shrugged. “It’s just cause she couldn’t be here this weekend.”
“Right,” Remus nodded. “I’ll be there if you want me to.”
Teddy waved it off, pulling his phone out of his pocket as it made a chirping noise.
“Don’t worry about it,” he said, eyes on the display as he quickly tapped out a message. “Aoife says there’s a group heading to the pub tonight.”
“That sounds like fun,” replied Remus as his gaze darted over to the bar, just briefly, catching on the man who was wiping down glasses and humming to himself, the muscles in his arms flexing. “You should go with them, make some friends.”
He only tore his gaze away from the man as he heard Teddy’s snort, and his son was watching him with an unimpressed sort of expression.
“What?”
“Make some friends?” he echoed, pulling a face. “It’s not pre-school, Da. It’s uni.”
“What?” asked Remus, a little affronted. “You don’t make friends at university?”
“No,” Teddy said assuredly. “You just…get to know people. Hang out.”
“Right,” Remus said, giving a solemn nod. “My bad. You should go with them and hang out then.”
Teddy rolled his eyes and huffed out a breath before he turned his attention back to his phone, and Remus pressed his lips together so that he wouldn’t smile. His eyes darted briefly back towards the bar, where the man was now stacking mugs.
It would be in Brighton where a random barista looked like he’d stepped right out of one of Remus’ wet dreams. He looked exactly like the type Remus would have been madly in love with when he was younger, and, it turned out, his taste hadn’t changed that much since then.
Remus hadn’t dated much in the past few years as Teddy was growing up. It wasn’t that it had been impossible, Dora had managed to move on just fine after their amicable split, and her dating life had never affected Teddy badly, he just hadn’t prioritised it. Ever since Teddy had moved in with him full-time when he was fifteen, Remus put his own dating life on a shelf.
Dora had told him he was being ridiculous, that Teddy was more than capable of handling his dad dating, and Teddy had even told him so himself. He’d even encouraged Remus to get out there, claiming that it would do him good to get laid. It wasn’t a lie, Remus knew that, but he had simply prioritised raising his son over hookups.
He knew it would be different now though, with Teddy off to university and Remus alone in their house. They had been joking about it, and Remus was happy that Teddy was starting his own life as a young adult, but he couldn’t deny that it would be strange.
He and Dora had been so young when they became parents. She had still been at university, and he had only just completed his Bachelor's Degree. He’d been a parent for all of his 20s and almost all of his 30s, it felt wild thinking that he was approaching his 40s with more independence than he’d had in a long while.
“Right, I gotta go,” Teddy said suddenly, his voice yanking Remus out of his thoughts. “Sorry, Da.”
Remus shook his head, smiling a little as he stood. “Don’t worry about it. Time for me to head back home anyway.”
Teddy nodded, watching him for a moment, his blue eyes searching over Remus’ face and he looked so serious suddenly.
“Are you sure that you’ll be okay?”
“Shouldn’t I be asking you that?”
Remus couldn’t help but smile a little at the troubled look on his son’s face, the half-grimace as he gave a brief shrug.
“I’ll be fine, Da.”
“So will I,” Remus replied, smiling a little as he pulled his son close for a hug. “Don’t worry about me.”
“Can’t help it,” Teddy muttered against the crook of his neck before Remus released him. “I worry about you all alone in that house.”
“I think I’ll manage,” Remus said as he clasped a hand on his son’s shoulder. “I used to have a life before you, y’know.”
“Barely,” Teddy replied with a snort, the corner of the boy’s mouth quirking upwards as Remus swatted lightly at him.
“Oi, don’t get cheeky.”
Teddy laughed, seemingly unfazed as he leaned a little closer, stage-whispering, “You could always stay and chat up the barista, eh? I can see you ogling him.”
Remus had a horrible feeling as he was blushing as Teddy threw a meaningful look towards the man behind the counter and waggled his eyebrows suggestively.

"Rules? I don't recall such things..." You giggled softly, kicking your feet a little, a wide smile on your face.
Laying on your stomach in front of the fireplace at the boarding house, you chatted on the phone with Elijah. You ran your fingers through the soft rug underneath you, biting your lip and waiting for a response from him.
"Hmm, perhaps you just have a very poor memory then," Elijah murmured, you could hear the smile in his voice. It had you grinning like an idiot, and you had to roll onto your back and stare up at the ceiling just to calm yourself down. You felt giddy, excited, and so many other emotions that you thought were long dormant in your old age.
"Perhaps..." You murmured, letting out a happy sigh and smiling at the ceiling.
"Let me refresh your memory," Elijah whispered into the phone, his tone calm and deep, as he sat back in the large leather chair in his office. "Rule one, when we are together, it will just be us,"
"And it will be," You assured him, closing your eyes, imagining his voice directly in your ear. "Everyone has gone away for the night,"
"I don't see why we don't just rent a room," He chuckled softly.
"Because," you murmured, feeling shyer by the second. "I want you to see my room, I have some books and art to share with you, there's this painting I hung up the other day that you would love..."
Elijah smiled, looking down and picking at a piece of lint on his pants, unable to deny how much he liked that thought. "I would love to see all the details of what makes you happy,"
You blushed, sitting up on your thighs, the heat of the fireplace warming your back.
"So? Come over?" You asked, hopeful, almost squirming with need.
Elijah knew this was a bad idea, if the Salvatore brothers returned, he would have to deal with their wrath. They were the enemy, but you... You were a weakness, one he couldn't seem to ignore.
"What would I get in return?" He wondered, standing up and moving over to the window.
You grinned, a plan forming. "Anything you want..."
Elijah licked his lips, feeling his heart beat just a bit faster.
"You are dangerous..." He sighed, running a hand through his hair. "Give me an hour,"
You giggled happily, rolling onto your stomach and kicking your legs behind you. "I'll be waiting,"
With a small hum of confirmation, Elijah ended the call.
You tossed your phone aside and scurried to your room, deciding what to wear. Usually you weren't shy or nervous to hook-up with someone, but with Elijah it was different.
It had been a few weeks, and you had both agreed, the last time would be the only time. But then one thing led to another, a text here, an invitation there, and now you couldn't deny the pull between the two of you.
After showering and shaving and washing, you stood naked in your closet and looked through the clothes. You finally settled on a simple yet expensive lingerie set that hugged your body and pushed up your breasts. Then you slipped into a simple black dress, deciding to keep it casual, since you were planning on being naked for most of the night.
A knock on the door made you grin, and you rushed to the door, your excitement bubbling to the surface.
Elijah stood on the porch, hands tucked in the pockets of his long trench coat, a small smile on his face.
"Hello, Miss Salvatore," He said softly, stepping inside.
You shut the door behind him, pressing your back against it, taking in the man before you.
"Elijah," You purred, grinning like a cat. "Glad you could join me,"
Elijah hummed softly, his eyes roaming your form. You could see the lust in his eyes, the way his jaw clenched.
"You know, the last time we were alone, I believe we agreed this would not happen again," Elijah reminded, taking a step forward, closing the gap between you.
"Hmm, did we?" You murmured, your hand reaching out and running down the front of his suit, feeling the material. You stopped and looked up at him, a grin on your face.
He leaned down and kissed you, his lips soft and gentle against yours. His hands went to your hips, pulling you flush against him.
You let out a small gasp, a hand going to his chest, feeling the steady beat of his heart.
You pulled away, your cheeks a light pink and your breathing heavy. He already had you dizzy, and he had barely done anything.
"How about a tour?" He murmured, a smile on his lips.
"Sure," You nodded, pulling him towards the stairs, a giddy smile on your face.
He followed along, not paying attention to the art and paintings on the walls, instead he was watching you, the way your hips swayed with every step, and the smile on your face as you brought him closer and closer to your bedroom.
As soon as you stepped through the door, Elijah's hands were on your waist, his lips kissing along your neck and shoulders. He kicked the door close, and started pushing you further into the room.
You stumbled a little, giggling and holding onto his arm, letting him push you towards the bed. You spun around and faced him, and he leaned in, his lips capturing yours in a passionate kiss. You ran your hands up his chest and to his tie, unknotting it and throwing it on the ground. You worked on his jacket next, sliding it off his shoulders and down his arms, leaving him in his white shirt.
"Mm, you're rushing," Elijah teased, nipping at your bottom lip, his hands gripping your hips tightly.
"No, no, you're just too slow," You shot back, ripping open his shirt, the buttons flying across the room.
Elijah looked down at his torn shirt, and then up at you, his lips curled into a smirk. "Careful,"
"Or what?" You teased, running your fingers through his hair, a playful glint in your eyes.
Elijah pushed you backwards, and you fell onto the bed, letting out a laugh as he crawled up your body, his mouth attaching to your neck, sucking and biting, making you moan.
"Greedy little vampire, aren't you?" He murmured against your skin, his hands running up your thighs, slowly pushing your dress up.
"Hmm, for you," You purred, tugging at his belt, getting frustrated when you couldn't get it undone.
Elijah chuckled, sitting up and working his belt free, a cocky smirk on his lips. You rolled your eyes, and wiggled your way out of your dress, tossing it onto the ground, leaving you in nothing but the black lace lingerie.
"My, my," Elijah said slowly, his eyes drinking in the sight before him. "You look stunning,"
You bit your lip, a small smile on your face as he climbed back on top of you, his hands running up your sides.
"This was an excellent choice," He murmured, running his fingers over the lace. "Maybe I should rip it off, make it match my shirt,"
"Don't you dare," You warned, wrapping your arms around his neck, bringing his mouth to yours.
Your hand rested against his stomach, and you let it wander up his chest. You could feel his strength as he held himself over you, the muscles of his arms flexing, his chest rising and falling.
His hair fell into his face, framing his cheekbones, his intense gaze fixed on you. You blushed and tucked his hair behind his ear, running your finger along his sharp jaw.
"You're so handsome," You breathed, the words escaping your lips before you could stop them.
Elijah chuckled, his breath hot against your skin.
"And you're breathtaking," He murmured, before ripping off your lingerie, leaving you completely bare beneath him.
"I told you not to do that," You gasped, though you weren't really angry, your blood was already rushing south.
He grinned, his fingers trailing up your leg, teasing your core. You spread your legs wider, and he eased a finger inside you, chuckling as your annoyed expression melted into pleasure. He watched you like this, lips parted, panting softly. Then he added second finger, then a third, until he was fucking you with three fingers, the palm of his hand brushing against your clit.
"Elijah," You moaned, tugging him down, kissing him roughly.
Elijah smirked against your lips, and curled his fingers, finding that sweet spot that had you seeing stars.
"Fuck," You moaned, arching off the bed, your eyes screwed shut.
"That's it," He encouraged, his eyes dark with lust as he watched you, his fingers picking up speed, curling and twisting inside you.
"I can't..." You whined, squirming and grabbing his wrist.
"But you can," He mumbled, kissing you deeply. You moaned into the kiss as he moved his hand faster. The tension was so delicious and intoxicating, but before you could reach your release, Elijah was pulling his hand back.
You were so lost in pleasure you didn't hear the sound of the front door opening, or the noise of Stefan and Damon entering the house.
But Elijah did. He froze, his ears trained on the footsteps of the Salvatore brothers. He cursed under his breath, and turned to look down at you, a smirk playing on his lips.
You frowned at the lack of contact, and pouted, looking up at him, confused. You opened your mouth to speak but he cut you off with a kiss.
Then you heard them.
In a flash Elijah was gone, all that was left of his touch was your scattered breathing and lust filled eyes.
You heard the sound of your brother's footsteps coming up the stairs and pulled a blanket over yourself. A moment later Damon and Stefan walked in the doorway.
"What do you want?" You muttered, looking grumpy, and trying to sound like you were angry at being interrupted from a good sleep.
"Just checking in," Stefan smiled, before noticing how disheveled your hair was, the blush in your cheeks, and the fact that you were wrapped in a blanket and nothing else.
"Have you been here all night?" Damon asked, looking concerned.
"Yes," You snapped, sitting up and pulling the blankets tighter around you. "I was tired and fell asleep reading,"
Stefan and Damon shared a look, neither looked like they were buying your story.
"We'll let you rest," Stefan nodded, heading for the door, giving you a suspicious look.
"Yeah, go back to sleep, we'll be downstairs," Damon murmured, shooting you a knowing look, before following his brother out the door, shutting it behind him.
Once they were gone, you collapsed back against the pillows, letting out a breath.
You could still feel Elijah's lips on yours, still smell his cologne, still taste him on your tongue. You closed your eyes, a smile spreading across your face.
It was in that moment, that you knew you were absolutely, undeniably, hopelessly, in love with Elijah.
And, without a doubt, completely and utterly fucked.

hi this is ouija board anon ☺️ so glad to hear that my prompt will get two different interpretations! how fun!! feel free to use this ask to answer with the second fic if you’d like 💘 thanks for sharing!!
Hi and thank you so much for reaching out! I'll use this ask now, just so I can keep the original prompt until the other one is written 😊 And thank you so much for sending it in in the first place, I had a lot of fun with it!
“Charles”, Edwin starts, and there is something in his voice, something in between bewilderment and quiet displeasure, but still fond somehow. It’s one of the things that Charles likes about him most, that no matter how annoyed Edwin might get with him, there’s always an undercurrent of affection when he talks to him.
Charles might have had to question most relationships in his life, but he’s never had to question this one. Edwin likes him, has liked him for over ten years now, and Charles has vowed to himself never to take that for granted.
“Yeah, what’s up?”, he asks, sitting up straighter, just in case whatever is bothering Edwin will need more attention than a quip and a smile. It seldom does, especially when they are between cases, but one never knows.
“Why is there a ouija board in our office?” Edwin demands to know, holding the box up like it has personally offended him. It’s kind of cute, in a very Edwin kind of way.
“Oh!” Charles gets up, suddenly excited, because even if Edwin is the clever one between them, he’s actually proud of this one. “Isn’t that mint? I picked it up in one of the shops around the corner – and yes, I did leave some money behind, don’t worry – because I thought it might come in handy in future cases. You know, we could talk to someone who’s alive with it?”
“Why would you want to talk to someone who is alive?”, Edwin asks, prim in a way that means he hates the words coming out of his mouth, and usually, Charles can read him like an open book, but there is something strange about him now. A bit frantic, maybe, a bit unmoored.
“They might have something interesting to say?”, Charles offers, confused, and gets up so he can walk over to Edwin, pluck the ouija board from his hand. “See, they have this little planchette thing, we could move that around to ask a question-“
“But why would you want to ask a living person anything in the first place?” There is something slightly shrill tinting Edwin’s voice, and Charles wants nothing more than to soothe it, even if he doesn’t know how to.
“To find out if they know something for a case?”, he tries, but it’s obviously not the right thing to say, because Edwin’s thick brows knit together, his lips thin from how tight they are pressed. Charles frantically rifles through explanations in his head, because there has to be one, but he’s coming up short.
“But are we not the Dead Boy Detectives?”, Edwin challenges, and the shrillness is still in his tone, masking something else, something Charles has the feeling might hurt.
“Yeah, sure”, Charles agrees, and looks down at the ouija board for a second. It’s nothing special, just pressed wood and paint, nothing that should upset the most brilliant boy in the world like this. “What’s really going on, Eds? It’s just a toy, and if you hate it so much, it’s not like we have to use it or anything.”
“I’ve told you not to call me that”, Edwin starts, but there is no actual heat behind it, and now that is proper worrying. “It’s just…”
His voice trails off and he deflates; Charles has to force himself not to rush in and gather Edwin up in his arms, hold him close.
“…you have, in the past few weeks, occasionally referred to the fact that you miss aspects of living”, Edwin eventually says, after far too much time, soft and almost defeated, still saying the last word like it has personally offended him. “I was wondering if the acquisition of this… thing is part of that general displeasure with being dead.”
General displeasure with being dead is what he says, but when Edwin looks up at him, that’s not what is written on his face, and suddenly, Charles can read him again, as clearly as if Edwin had spelt his thoughts out to him, letter by letter.
“Edwin”, he answers, as softly, as warmly as he can, and there is so much worry, so much hope in Edwin’s eyes that Charles’ chest aches with it, both with affection and the pain of Edwin having to be hopeful in the first place. “There’s nothing about being dead with you that I would want to change.”
And it takes a moment, but then a smile blossoms on Edwin’s lips, and Charles needs to bite his own to stop himself from thanking every deity that might want to answer for it, for Edwin believing him.
“Truly?”, Edwin asks still, but there is no hope left in his voice, because it is not necessary anymore, just a need for reassurance. There is nothing Charles would rather offer.
“Absolutely”, he responds and the word comes easy as breathing, as easy as a heartbeat would for a living person, a breath.
And Edwin nods, looking brave and calmer and happy, and when the affection Charles feels for him threatens to overwhelm him this time, he just gives into it, pulls Edwin close and against his chest and holds him tight.
And this time, unlike most others, Edwin goes willingly.

CHAPTER 3 >>> CHAPTER 4
Tumblr media
Eyes closed, you breathe in the fresh spring breeze, the first of many this season. Pollen makes your nose itch, bees buzz around the field of flowers, yellow dots kissing the soft petals. A babbling brook sits near you, perfect spherical rocks worn down by the waters makes you want to skip them across the transparent clean water where fish lie and swim right under the currents.
The bright sun above shines down on you, its light fighting through your eyelids and through the canopy of the oak tree. Its strong trunk provides the perfect back rest, the wood is stable and protective of your relaxed form. Like the softest carpet, the green grass below is splayed under you. Blades of grass and wildflowers swaying amidst the wind just like how your lashes flutter with every soft blow of the cool air.
“Why'd you stop?” Hobie asks from below. You crack open your eyes to see his lopsided smile, jade eyes crinkling in the corners. His head is resting on your lap, fingers absentmindedly playing a tune on the beaten up guitar on his chest. There's flowers in his hair, courtesy of you. “C’mon, lovie, I was just starting to fall asleep.”
You chuckle, and he smiles wider. The sun bathes you in its glow, a halo of light around your head, a heavenly sight for a mere mortal. “You're spoiled you know.” You realize your fingers are in his hair, soft fingertips paused on his skin. Your vision goes blurry, with a blink, everything shifts back. “So spoiled.”
“Says the one who was born with a silver spoon in her mouth.” He says it with no ounce of malice.
“How'd you know about spoony?” You joke, he laughs, a sound better than anything you've ever heard of. “How was work?”
“Lonesome, you didn't come by.” You tilt your head, lips pursing into a soft smile. “Do I still smell like gunpowder to you?”
“No, you smell like flowers.”
“Is it too late to say that I'm allergic to ‘em?”
You giggle, “No you're not. You haven't even sneezed.” Grabbing a daisy from his hair to wiggle it under his nose, his face scrunches up comedically, and then he fakes a sneeze. The loudness of it startles the birds nesting by the branches, wings fluttering rapidly further away.
“Good job, you scared the birds.” You look down at him, hand inching closer to the daisy ring you've made a while ago.
“What? I can't sneeze?” His eyes are glued to you, the sun paints a pretty picture of his viridescent eyes shining in the light.
With a deep inhale, you take his hand away from the guitar, slipping the flower ring you've been itching to place on his finger. Hobie seems to freeze up either in your touch or the sight of the makeshift ring. You show him your hand, an identical white flower whose stems are wrapped gingerly around your middle finger.
“Ta dah.” You say shyly. The tightness around your chest clenches at his silence. “I'll take it off, I'm sorry. I thought—”
Hobie quickly reaches up to shield the ring away from you, “No, don't—it’s brilliant. Thank you.” You beam at him as he intertwines his fingers around your own, the rings in full display. “Suits me, I think. But it looks better on you.” You inhale, the comfortable warmth is replaced by icy air. Everything shifts.
The breeze is colder now, the grass is frozen under your feet, frost clinging to each blade. The canopy is no more, only dark angled branches with tiny leaves hang off the precious oak tree. A puff of smoke billows out of your dry lips, Hobie hugs you closer, hand rubbing up and down your arm, body heat shielding you from frost bite.
“Cold?”
“Yes, very.” You shiver, and he holds you closer. “This sunset better be worth it, Hobie, I had to put down a really good botanical book for this.” You say, cheek pressed atop his chest, breath warming his neck. You'd choose him over any book.
“First sunset of the season, love. It's worth it, I promise.” Without a second thought, he takes his coat off to place it over your shivering shoulders. You huddle closer, wrapping yourself around him. Sharing your warmth.
Blue slowly ebbs away as he pulls you closer. The clouds part ways for red and orange, pink splashes across the sky, a watercolour painting that leaves you gasping for air. Or was it his lips upon yours for the first time that has you heaving for air?
Hobie kisses you with the gentleness only a lover could provide, yet with the tentativeness of someone who isn't sure you'd kiss back. The pads of his fingers brush along your jaw, ghosting over your flustered flesh. With a sigh and a pull on his jacket collar, you kiss back. Lips pecking the corner of his own, clouds of smoke mixing in, hands warm on your searing cheeks— he slowly leads you towards the same oak tree. Your back hits the wood with an almost silent thump, his hand protecting the back of your head. Eyes closed, you memorize his lips by kiss alone. Your hands knead at his nape, he shivers not from the cold.
“I'm in love with you.” He says it confidently, like he's been saying it to himself for years. He feels like he has.
“I've been waiting to hear you say that.” Your eyes meet his own in a dance. Eyes flicking down to his lips, jade eyes looking between your blown out eyes and your quivering lips. “I've been in love with you. For a really long time.” You feel his lips open, mouthing the three words back against your own. It's barely above a whisper but you know that he'll scream it if you asked.
A flash of his warm hands around your own, a glimpse of a knife carving yours and his initials on the wood that you both call home. A muffled promise lingers in your ears, soft, just like his lips on yours.
You open your eyes and you see him above you. Hobie pinches your nose with a laugh, calloused fingertips squeezing lovingly at you, emerald eyes swimming with affection. The warm air passes by, humidity stuck in your nose. The sweat of your brow is quickly wiped away by him.
“Stop sayin' that, yeah?” You don't remember what you said. “You're bloody gorgeous, she doesn't know real beauty even if it hits her powdered arse.”
“Hobie!” You laugh, hands planted on his hips, the fabric of his shirt is hitched up for easy access. “She's still my aunt, and my legal guardian.”
“Unfortunately.”
Your smile agrees with him, but if you say it out loud you're afraid that the ground will swallow you alive and Hobie will be ripped away from you.
“It's a nice day today, you plannin’ on gropin’ me the whole afternoon?”
“Yep!” You look down at where his hands are placed, palms cupping you right above your ribs. “You planning on doing the same to me?”
“Say otherwise and I'll take my hands away from you—”
“No!” You say quickly before he could finish.
Hobie guffaws loudly, face leaning closer to yours. You close your eyes, expecting the expected. Instead, his head falls on the crook of your neck, blowing warm air into your skin.
Your laughs echoes around the clearing, fading into the sound of leaves crunching under your footsteps.
Orange leaves fall down on you like rain, a puff of breeze settles in your muscles, rattling your bones. Despite the cold, you inch your way closer to him, his smile beckons you over, grassy spring coloured eyes lighting up at the mere sight of you. His back resting on the strong oak tree that carries both your names.
“You know, we could always meet up at your place now that you're the up and coming associate.” You hold your hand out towards him, his fingers slide on your palm so naturally that you think you're made for eachother. “We can stop sneaking around now thanks to you.”
Hobie feels like he can finally breathe once he has his hands on you. He twists your wrist gently, leaning down, he presses a quick kiss on your pulse, eyes meeting your own. Years of being together, and he still makes your heart race.
Warm lips on your skin, he pecks it again for good measure before leaning away and pulling you closer. His hands are around your hip, while you wrap yours over his shoulders. “We could. But even after all my hard work, your aunt still doesn't—won't approve of us together. I'm me and you're you, love. What would they say when they see their heiress skulkin’ around the harbour, hm?”
“They won't say anything because I'm good at skulking around.”
“Or they'd say you're hurtin' your prospects of a good husband.”
“Fuck them! You and my garden are all I need.”
He calls your name solemnly, “we have to face the fact that—”
“What? That I'll be stuck in a loveless marriage in the near future?” You shake your head. “I refuse.” A humourless laugh breaks through.
“Good thing you said that or this will be awkward.” Hobie takes out a pair of gold rings from his pocket, it shimmers in the sunset, cold metal upon his warm trembling hands. “It took me a hundred days to save up for them, they're scraps from the factory. All melted together to make a pair.”
“Y–you're stealing from us now?” You could barely finish your joking sentence with the sob fighting to escape your throat.
Hobie laughs, a breathy one that has you mentally making up another joke just to hear it again. “Been at it since they hired me.” He hands you one, not sliding it down your finger, no, he places it right in the middle of your palm. “Remember those daisy rings you made years ago?” You nod, eyes brimming with tears. “I've made ‘em real this time. But the next one would be pure gold, none of the mixed ones I've melted with it.” He bounces on the balls of his feet as you glance at the gold ring that is a hodgepodge of different shades of yellow gold. Some seem to be darker, some lighter. “You deserve real ones.”
“You could make me a ring out of grass and wood, and I'll still wear it everyday.” Taking the ring, you slide it into your middle finger, a promise, he says in your ears, a promise, you repeat against his lips as you slip his own ring around his finger. A promise you both carved out into the tree and into your hearts, a promise that you'd carve out into your skin if you could.
The smell of burning wood wakes you up with a start, You've woken up with tears trapped in your eyelashes.
Your eyes open to a boiling pot of brown liquid. It's familiar, awfully so that you've hated it, it reminds you of someone you'd rather not remember. Looking up at the sky that is darkened to a pale blue, turning the orange and green plains into its royal colour— The roaring open fire is the only bright thing in sight, a yellow glow amidst all the bitter blue.
The amber flames screams among the dead silence and the vast emptiness, ‘Someone’s here! Someone’s alive over here!’ yet, you don't feel like you are.
You cough from the cold, throat itching from dryness. Lifting your hands up to tug the blanket further up, you now notice the deep crescent moons left on your palms. Some even bled through the night, dried blood decorating the lines on your palms and under your fingernails.
“You're awake. Good.” Hobie's voice hits you like a carriage, sleep ridden mind still hazy. For a second you thought that you're still dreaming of him. But his solid form and smoke from his cigarette resting on a stone says he's real. Your mind can't dream of something so tethered to reality like this. “You want some?” He rattles the now empty tin cup, brown liquid dripping from the rim to the ground below.
“You're offering me a cup?”
He furrows his pierced brows. “‘course, there's plenty.”
“No, thank you. Do you have something to eat instead? Or water?” Sitting up, you wipe the sleep off your eyes. Your joints hurt, stomach gurgling, and ankle aching. You hate it here, he's the only one that's making everything bearable even though he looks like he'd rather be anywhere else than be with you. It still hurts, thinking that he does.
“Yeah.” Standing up with a groan, it seems like sleep didn't agree with him either. There's bags under his eyes, worsened by the shadow from the brim of his hat. Taking something from his pack on Buckeye, who still slumbers quietly, he holds out a canteen and a piece of dried meat wrapped in cloth. “‘ere.” The familiar scar on the back of your hand has him reeling away. He remembers the day you got it, he remembers how his hand trembled as he stitches your hand back together.
“Thank you.” You say, stiffly smiling. He nods, returning back to his seat.
Breakfast went over fast, with dawn turning into morning, and the crisp air warming down, you take the blanket off your shoulders. Bucky trotts on the road, coyotes chirp on your left and a tumbleweed passes by on your right. It feels like you and Hobie are the only people on the road, or even in the whole world.
You clear your throat, attempting to break the quiet after riding for hours in absolute silence. “So…are you an outlaw? A mercenary for hire, or even a trapper?”
“‘m one of those things, yes.”
“So mysterious. You know you're still an open book to me.” Looking over your shoulder, he grabs your chin to make you look away and to keep your eyes on the dirt road. To which you laugh at. “Yep, still an open book.” It's true that you still know him for the man that he was, but there's missing pieces of him in your mind. You intend to dive to find the pieces so you could piece together who he is today. Before you go home, before you part forever again.
“How would you know?” Hobie tamps down a smile even though you won't be able to see it. “Maybe I've changed in those five years.”
“Oh you have.” You'd know. “But I can still see through you. I know you, Hobart Brown. Or did you also change your name too?”
“It's Larry now.”
“You serious?” Looking behind, you see him sporting a smirk. A smile spreads across your lips at his playfulness, a semblance of the Hobie you once knew.
“For example?” He asks, something he might regret. “What do you see through me?”
“Well, you put this big bad façade up because it's what everyone expects you to be. But in truth, it's so you could survive here. I bet it's working well since you're still here breathing.”
“I don't care what anybody thinks, Y/N.”
“I know that too. But you still do it because you don't want them talking to you, coming close to you. I remember how hard it was to even get you to speak to me.”
“I was a kid, we were children, and I was new in town.”
“I got you to talk though. Still proud of myself that I got to see the real you.” You puff out your chest. “This place is just like our old town, you know. Harsher, yes, but this time you don't bother to try, not like last time.” Your voice lowers into a murmur. He knows why he doesn't bother, because there's no one out here that could get him out of his walled up shell just like you did. There's no one like you. “I still know you, after all these years. Even if you think I don't, or at least the version of you that you left me with.” The sky gets darker, grey clouds floating next to white fluffy ones, and you still remember how he held you the first time you shared a bed. “You've changed and I confess that I barely know this side of you. I don't know what happened to you in those five years but could you let me try to get to know you again? Just like last time?”
The clouds above darken his green eyes, something passes by them, something that has his hands gripping tighter around the reins.
“It's goin’ to rain.” Is all he could say. “We should hurry and find shelter, there's a shortcut I know.”
You inhale the sharp familiar smell of petrichor, letting it settle in your lungs, letting it drown you, letting it seep through your skin so you can focus on it rather than the flatness of his voice that lacks what you're used to.
“Sure,” you swallow thickly, nails digging into your hemp bindings instead of your flesh.
Hobie clicks his tongue thrice, a sharp almost whistle, and out runs Bucky faster on the sandy lonesome road. Hooves thudding like the rumble of the heavens above, a lightning storm races behind you, sparks of light flashing and clashing on the mountainous rocks of the west.
“Hold on,” Hobie whispers close to the shell of your ear, goosebumps spreading through you like poison ivy on skin. He leans forward, leather clad body shielding you from the harsh howling winds that approaches quickly. “This storm's comin' in fast.”
Wind whips your cheeks, cool air making you narrow your eyes into slits to protect it from the dusty debris. A silhouette of a person appears at the end of the road, you feel Hobie stiffen up from the suspicious man. Arms cage you in, the mysterious man's shadow gets closer and closer as Bucky whines and halts to a stop. Hobie hides your hands with his own, a small act that brings your mind a minute of peace.
“State your business.” Hobie says in a practiced tone, commanding like the one he used with the man who snatched you.
The old man walks with a twisted cane, a makeshift one made from an old branch. His eyes are dull and almost silver, blue rings around his irises, eyebrows thick and white, beard bushy and hair almost gone. Right behind him lies a dip in the road, a chasm from where you sat, a deep gorge from what you surmise. Right next to the road sits a dingy solemn cabin, roof looking like it's about to collapse under its own weight, hinges creaking, window shutters opening and closing harshly from the wind. A border collie barks at you, mismatched eyes unwavering, warning you of something to come.
“Just ‘ere to warn you, son.” The old stranger trembles, either from the cold or from his bad leg. “Anyone who come ‘ver down that road doesn't come out unscathed.” He wipes his face with the sleeve of his yellowed shirt. “Just tryin' be a good samaritan.”
“Yeah? Penance for the war then?” You give Hobie a look. He glances over to you in return.
“I was on yer side, son. I won't be out ‘ere warnin’ you and the missus if I wasn't now eh?”
“Thank you for the warning.” You pipe up, the brief silence has made the whole situation more awkward. “We'll try another route then—”
“No,” Hobie stands his ground, “just like she said, thank you for the warnin’ but that's the closest route to Strawberry.”
The man takes his hat off even with the intense shaking of his hand. He then places it on his chest like he's already mourning you. “Safe travels. Don't say I didn't warn ya.” With a whistle, the dog runs over to him before helping him walk home.
“Wait!” The man stops in his tracks, even the dog turns around to face you. “A storm's coming, you'll be cold. Here.” Sliding your hands away from Hobie's, you take the blanket from your lap.
“My eyes are bad but do I see you givin' me your coat?” He smiles toothily.
“Y/N—” Hobie warns.
“Yes, but it's a blanket, not a coat.” The man chuckles deeply, cheeks red and warm.
He whistles again, and the dog walks over to you. “Give it ‘ere to ol' Nellie.” The dog wags her tail, tongue lolling.
“Hi, Nellie,” you giggle as you lean down to place the fabric in her mouth. “Take good care of it. Good girl.” Hobie's hand is holding your waist, single handedly preventing you from falling over.
He remembers your kindness, how you don't falter when you see someone you can help. You're unequivocally kindhearted, a stark contrast to himself, and what he has become in those five years he wasn't by your side. He remembers how much he loved and longed for you. He needs to know who sent the letter on his behalf, but it can wait, maybe he'll thank them when he does find them.
You don't notice him look at you with the same expression he had years ago.
With a happy wag of her tail, Nellie skips over to her owner, handing him your blanket. “Thank you, miss, you've got a kind soul.” There's warmth in your chest, nodding towards the man. “You take care now. And you.” He looks over your companion. “Better watch her back and protect her kind soul eh?”
“Get inside, don't want you gettin' my blanket drenched.”
A laugh billows out as he waves you away. Entering his humble abode with a loud bang of his door.
“I think we should listen to him.” You say above the winds.
“We'll be fine,” Hobie's voice is softer. “I've been ‘ere before. Just listen to me, yeah?” He kicks gently, and Bucky takes his cue to run in the same direction again.
“If I listened to you back there then the poor man would've shivered from the cold.”
“And now you'll be the one shivering from the cold.”
“He needed it more than I did.” You almost scoff as you hold on tighter around the horn of the saddle while Bucky trudges downward on the slope and into the gorge.
“Don't expect me to get you a new one.”
Now you scoff. “Then don't.” Yet, your chest clenches from his words.
Buckeye finally slows down halfway through the gorge. Hobie inhales deeply, jade eyes flicking above the rocks. The walls seem to close in on you, fifty foot tall walls of ancient stone looming over you. A stream runs along the path, murky brown water splashing with every movement.
“Why'd you slow down—?” Your eyes widen at the moving figures above. “There's people up there.” You whisper as you watch them observe you. The bows on their back gather your attention, eyes piercing through you than the sharpest of arrows. Hobie suddenly grabs your chin, still gentle but with a sense of urgency this time. He turns your head towards the road, rough leather sliding from your chin to your hands.
“Keep your eyes on the road. And keep your mouth shut.”
“Will they let us pass?”
“Yes.” He says immediately.
“Do you know them?”
“Yes, now keep quiet.” Tipping the brim of hat in respect, you do as you're told. “Or they'll be the one askin' me questions. And we don't have time for friendly banter.”
When he says those words, you hear a whisper of his name from above, then a bout of laughter echoing downwards. Subtly looking over your shoulder, you see him crack a small smile.
You turn back towards the road, a soft morose smile on your lips from how much you've missed from his life. You want to know what happened to him in those five years, to be told stories of his adventures under the campfire. To be part of those stories once more, not whatever you're in with him. An afterthought, a burden.
You're starting to feel all the love he once gave you was just from your mind. Made up by you, dreamt and imagined.
The cave you've found shelter in is perfect. It's big enough to house you and Hobie, even Bucky rests inside, dry and happy while his dark eyes follow you— as if trying to keep an eye out for you. The cave protects you from the hammering rain outside and from the lightning that pierces the clouds. You lean on the rocky mouth of the cave, hands reaching outside to cup the rain and feel the sharp water droplets drench your skin. Lifting your head up, you watch the sky. The storm has no end in sight, yet, there’s a bit of light passing through the grey, a ray of sunshine that brings hope, blue peeking in between the dark clouds.
Water splashes against your flesh, cleaning the tiny gashes and dried blood that you're not sure is all from your body. The rope that binds you is soaked, weighing heavy around your wrists like steel bracelets.
Wind howling, lightning cutting through the sky like a bullet through skin— You don't feel his heavy gaze on you.
The roaring fire behind you provides warmth just like the man tending to it. And like the fire he's tending, he realizes that his affection for you still burns him inside out no matter how he tries to snuff it out.
The fire crackles, you watch your shadow dance with the flame's movements. You still don't feel his heavy stare on your back.
With a forced smile, an idea pops in your head. You let the water on your palms fall, flicking away the droplets, making your own patch of rain.
“I've got a proposition.”
“Come eat, smelly” You both speak at the same time, amusement flashes behind his precious emerald eyes that's illuminated by the embers.
"I don't smell." You laugh in between, loving the fact that he seems to be in a better mood. Sniffing at yourself, you scrunch up your nose from the smell. "That much. You're not any better.”
Hobie shakes his head, hiding the curl of his lips with the brim of his hat. He places a can of peaches in your direction. “We'll be in Strawberry by late afternoon. There's an inn there where we can rest and bathe.”
Sitting down next to him but still giving him enough space, you tuck your legs under you, wiggling your hands in front of him.
“Can you untie me now? I'm not going to run, Hobie. Where will I go?”
“Tell me about your so-called proposition.” Hobie raises a brow, teeth biting down and clenched around the leather before fully yanking his glove off. You suddenly feel hot when he unties your hands without another word.
There's no identical ring around his finger. Your happiness is snatched away at the sight of his empty finger. What was once a promise is now gone from his flesh that you used to trace with your own hands.
Clearing your throat, you watch the shadows on the cave walls flicker behind him. “W–we take the scenic route. I want to see the sights the new world has to offer. Before returning.” You don't even want to call it home anymore.
“The new world? You sound like a grandma.”
“You saying ‘state your business’ wasn't any better, grandpa.”
Hobie's eyes meet your own, green eyes aglow. A remnant of the Hobie five years ago. You could get used to this, his warm gaze that soothes you from the inside out, something that you never took for granted before but never thought you'd miss dearly. You welcome it back with open arms. Even if it was brief.
A flash of bright lightning hits outside your cave, startling you, free hand placed on your quaking chest.
“It's just lightning, love.” A freudian slip, a term of endearment that travels you both back in time. Now that he said it once more, he finds that it still fits you like a warm hug on a cold winter's day, or a first kiss, one of many.
Slowly turning your head, your lips tremble, eyes watering from a silent cry. You try to reach for him, but he deflects your touch by twisting around on his seat, taking a swig from his canteen. The only one that he has.
Quietly eating, your insides are yelling for you to hold him close, to be near him, to hug him until the screaming stops. You can't satiate the feeling, it bites at your bones, chewing, eating at you, going hungry, starving. You stand up, leaving the can of peaches on the ground, returning to the mouth of the cave so the feeling will ravage you alone once again like it always has for the past five years. You've survived this long, but there's barely anything left of you now— a husk, barely a speck, so you cry and cry, sobs muffled by the rain.
You don't feel his gaze on you. He feels the same gnawing feeling in his belly, crawling up to his chest, eating what's left of his heart like a vulture that carries all his grief and guilt.
You're back on the road again, the ground is wet and muddy. Clay and grass sticking to Bucky's hooves as he trudges along the soil. You purposely don't remind him about the missing rope around your wrist. Loving the freedom the lack of it brings, you brush your fingers through Buckeye’s hair; dark wavy tresses that reminds you of fine silk.
“You take good care of him.”
“You said that already.”
“I know, I'm just saying it again for emphasis. I hope you're taking care of yourself too.”
You feel him shift in his seat, fatigue rattling his bones that's exacerbated by the rocking movement.
“Do you feel alright?” You ask, looking over your shoulder. His eyebrows are furrowed, sweat dribbling from his forehead.
“‘m fine.”
“You don't look fine. Riding bareback this long hurts, we can switch places—”
“It would be better if you had your own horse.” Hobie groans, stretching his shoulders. Buckeye seems to notice the conversation, huffing and staring back at his rider. “‘m not replacing you, Bucky. Not yet anyway.”
The dark horse neighs, a high pitched sound that makes you laugh. “He was not happy with that.”
“He's not happy with anythin'” Hobie shakes his head at the horse, you're amused by the whole situation. “Picky eater, always demanding sugar cubes instead of a carrot or an apple. Fuckin' spoiled.” Bucky neighs again, louder this time, clearly annoyed.
“Just like his rider.” You giggle, Hobie stifles a roll of his eyes, a ghost of a smile on his pierced lips. “Careful with your comments or he might buck you off and have me as his rider instead.”
Hobie's amusement fades, his eyes hardens, a sight that has your heart thrumming loudly, a sight that you're very familiar with back at home.
“I‘m sorry— I–I didn't mean to.” You frantically apologize, shaking your head, hand reaching for his own, palm hovering over his gloves.
“Look ahead.” He gestures forward. “Nothin' to apologize for, love.”
“Are you sure?” You can't seem to slow down your breathing.
Hobie notices, blinking, he tentatively takes your hand in his. Squeezing once, jade eyes searching your hurt face. Guilt passes through him.
He should've come back for you.
“Yes,” he swallows thickly, slowing down Bucky's steps. “Breathe for me, yeah?” You nod, inhaling and exhaling. “Good, keep doin' that.” Inhale, exhale, “atta girl. Now listen to me, I need you to hold on tight, and do what I say.”
“What's wrong?” Did you do something wrong again? You hold on tight just like he asked.
“Eyes up front, sweetheart.” The floodgates open, he can't stop himself from calling you those honeyed names. And you can't stop looking at him. With a gentle hold to your chin, he carefully moves it forward. You see five people waving you over further down the road. They're accompanied by a broken down carriage, three wheels missing, no oxen in sight, just a few horses hitched near them.
They call you over, grinning from ear to ear. “Oh thank God!” You hear them say, their forms getting closer and closer.
“They need help.” You say, Hobie's hand around the reins tightens.
“And we're not goin' to give it to ‘em.”
“What? Why?”
“That's bait, we're not fallin’ for it.” His eyes don't leave the strangers’ hands.
“Bait—? They genuinely look like they need help.”
“We're close to town, and they have horses. They could've gone over there instead of flagging down an armed stranger.”
“I'm not armed.”
“Yes, but I am.” With a swift kick, Hobie guides Buckeye to a mad dash. Your back hits his chest from the sudden momentum. A dull ache on your spine, a tingling sensation on his ribs.
Buckeye passes by the broken carriage, leaving dust in their eyes. “C’mon, Bucky! Get us out of ‘ere, boy!”
Wind in your eyes, you look behind, your heart falls in your stomach when you see them follow immediately on their horses, guns drawn, aiming at Hobie.
“Oh fuck!” A bullet whizzes past your head, missing you by just a few inches. You feel it's hot searing metal fly past, “they're shooting at us! Why the fuck—!”
Hobie twists, with one hand on the reins, and the other on his gun, he shoots down one man with precision. The bullet hits its mark, right in his heart. A fountain of crimson splashes from his wounded body, his feet still strapped in the stirrups, flinging the now lifeless body around like a window shutter in a storm.
Hobie shoots again, a horse falls, another bullet, and one gets iron in their gullet. And another and another, one on the leg and one on the shoulder, but they still ride on. Until Hobie's gun clicks, its chamber now empty, in slow motion, you see the remaining survivors use the opportunity to aim at Hobie's head. With quick thinking, you twist uncomfortably, body stretching behind to grab the hunting rifle strapped on Bucky's back. Within a second, you sit upright with the barrel pointing at them.
Hobie sees it all happen while he frantically reloads. His gun jams from carelessness, heart beating like a snare drum, fingers frantically trying to fix it. The sun is in his eyes as he sees you cock your head over his shoulder, the long barrel of the rifle is placed atop his leather jacket, finger itching to press the trigger.
“Duck.” Your voice is calm as Hobie follows through your command, the firing pin ignites, sparks fly, the smell of gunpowder permeates the air, bullet whizzing and hitting your mark— Right in between the eyes.
Gore explodes from what used to be a head, then a scream from the remaining target. Hobie steers Bucky, whilst you fight. Fight for him, and for yourself.
Pulling the bolt handle, without missing a beat you release the shell with a clink of metal. The remaining man looks at his dead companion in horror, still riding on next to him, now missing a head. Just like they did, you use the opportunity to reload, hand reaching for Hobie's gun belt, taking what you need, reloading with an expert hand. You pull the bolt to place the bullet, pushing it in, you aim once again. At the same time, the man screams, aiming at you. But you're faster.
Inhale. You shoot, hand steady, eyes focused.
A wet squelch can be heard, then a body thuds harshly on the ground as a horse neighs, crying and trotting wildly. You finally exhale. Hobie reins Bucky in, hooves digging in, he stops.
“Holy shit.” Hobie stares at you with a growing smile, cheeks aflame, not from the adrenaline nor the fight. “You can shoot.”
“You taught me.” Your eyes doesn't leave the violence you left behind.
“Yeah, but not like that!” He laughs in disbelief. His heart hammers in his chest, and he remembers all the times he held your hand in his while he teaches you the basics.
“What do you think I've been doing since you left?” You swallow thickly, nerves catching up, hands trembling around the rifle. “My books can only take me so far until I've read the entire library.”
Hobie holds your cheek, face concerned, thumb running along the tear you don't notice slide down your cheek. “Can you look at me, lovie?”
Slowly but surely, you turn your head. “We manufacture guns, Hobie, it's important for me to learn.”
“I know, but shootin’ it at people is different.” He would know, he worked at the same place. “Are you alright?”
“Now you ask me that?” You hand him the rifle, breath shuddering. “Can we go now, please?”
Hobie could only nod, hand itching to hold you again.
You finally reach Strawberry, it has a sweet sounding name but it's anything but sweet. The streets are thick with mud, the smell is much better than the other town but it still makes your nose itch. The place is situated on the foot of a mountain, the air is cooler with heavy winds persisting. Rows and rows of establishments lie along the road, a saloon with a balcony on your right, a doctor's office on your left. Convenient, you think.
A brothel sits next to the saloon, women gathered around on the porch, smiling and hollering at the people who pass by. Hobie garners their attention, (who wouldn't be?) despite riding with you on the same horse. He doesn't give them any attention, a disappointment on their part. His eyes are too busy looking over your profile and the inn that's situated on the hill.
You flick your eyes over to him, as if he has a sixth sense, he stares back. “What?”
“Nothing.” You whisper.
Hobie hides a small smile over your shoulder. He stops Buckeye at the front of the inn, hopping off, he hitches his horse first before giving you a hand, surprising you.
Without a second thought, you take his outstretched hand, bare against his leather clad one. You land carefully on the soft ground, cringing at the wet squelch of mud on your shoes.
“I need a bath,” you stomp over towards the porch and out of the mud. Hobie's hand finally leaves your side once you step foot on the steady planks. “And a nice bed.”
“That's why we're ‘ere.” He says while he takes his pack from Bucky's back. Giving the horse a pet and a much deserved sugarcube. He whispers something to the horse, to which Bucky neighs in reply. Stepping on the porch right next to you, the dark horse nods at his rider.
You laugh at them. “What'd you tell him?”
“I promised him a place at the stable so he could get a proper rest. ‘m gonna take him once you're inside.”
“Are you gonna leave me here?” Panic sets in your stomach.
Hobie furrows his brows, “no, ‘course not.” I'd never do that. He thinks, but he already did, years ago. “C’mon.”
Bucky neighs to you this time, tail swishing behind him. “G’night, Buck.” You give him a small wave. “You did a good job today.”
Entering the inn, the smell of pine and something fruity catches your nose. Its walls are all wooden, lined with old photos and animal furs. There's a fireplace in the common area where a couple of people sit and chat by the fire. The place is cozy, it's the first time you feel like you can finally have a nice comfortable place to sleep in since you landed in America.
Hobie knocks on the reception desk, leaning on the table, clearly tired and weary. Whilst you try not to think about what you did earlier, you roam your eyes everywhere in an attempt to push all the thoughts away, to kick the gore you saw, and the act that you've executed far far away from you. Your hand trembles at the sight of a deer head hanging on the wall. Then you remember the man whose head you blasted to pieces. Heart beating faster, breath stuck in your throat, Hobie suddenly takes your hand— squeezing, reminding you to breathe.
Before he could comfort you further, a middle aged man appears behind the desk. Shoulders broad, mustache well maintained and curled at the ends. Blue eyes wide and full of wisdom.
“Welcome to Strawberry inn.” He says in a comfortable yet deep tone. His eyes flick towards your intertwined hands, lips smiling faintly. “The name's Finn, room for one?”
Hobie clears his throat, taking his hand back on his side. “Yes, two beds.”
“Ah, a conservative couple eh?”
“Sure,” Hobie acts, nodding along.
“Name?”
“Larry Smith. And baths for the missus and I.”
Finn nods, showing him a sign on his desk. “three dollars for a regular one, five for a deluxe bath.”
“Deluxe?” You ask, curious.
Hobie beats Finn to the punch by explaining it himself. “It's when a woman helps you scrub down.”
You blink twice in quick succession. “Oh.” Cheeks warm, you awkwardly bounce on your feet. “A–are you going to take the deluxe one, Ho–Larry?”
“I might.” He says with a smirk, eyes shining.
“Okay.” You crane your neck towards Finn, “what's our room number?” Your tone inches towards something that has Hobie amused.
“Uh, three—” You're already snatching the keys from him and then quickly speed walking up the stairs. You turn to the right, Finn calls after you. “Left side, ma’am.” Frustrated, you walk the other way. He then turns towards Hobie with a shake of his head. “Happy wife, happy life, english. Don't tease her like that or you'll end up sleeping in the stables.”
Hobie bites his tongue so he couldn't laugh. “I know that now, thanks, mate.”
You feel nice, nicer than you should be after what you did. There's a pebble inside you that keeps growing and growing in the pit of your stomach right next to the boulder that has resided there for years. You have no idea what is, but you want it gone just like how you disappear under the tepid water of the tub.
Hobie has laid out clothes for you, it sits on the chair in the corner. A white work shirt that smells like him and a pair of clean socks. Your skirt hangs on the doorway, days worth of dirt and dust clinging to it. The walls are thin, you hear the hinges squeak in the next room, the arguing couple above; and a child's cry from below. The water laps at your chin, now cold and icy on your slowly freezing skin. Like muscle memory, you hold your hand up, the jagged long scar across the back of your hand has you tracing the remnants of the injury— what he used to do to remind you that he's there, that you're safe. But when he left, when he disappeared into the night, leaving you to the horrid predetermined life, you had to do it yourself. You had to carry yourself everyday with the heavy boulder in your heart, surviving each day without him, hurting, rotting in that damned empty mansion you never asked for.
You thought you could finally take the boulder out of you and place it down once and for all when you saw him. it's still there, weighing you down like a hundred ton steel of grief and longing. You don't resent him for what he did, running away, leaving you when the night before he promised you sweet words, words of freedom, words of an escape. No, you don't hate him. Yes, there's days where you would curse his name, but it never lasts. It never does, even now. You still love him even when he doesn't feel the same way anymore.
Your eyes prick from all the unshed tears, everything makes you cry nowadays, even the old lonesome man you met on the road brought a tear to your melancholy eyes. But you can't seem to find the courage to cry in front of him, to let him see your salty tears flow out of you like a raging river of sorrow. And moreso, you're afraid, afraid of home, afraid of what's waiting for you at the end of the road. Whether it be a coyote with its maw opening to lunge at your neck. Or a rattlesnake ready to strike silently at your open wound.
You're not afraid of him, you're afraid to lose him again to the coyotes and rattlesnakes.
Lifting both hands, you watch the blood that collects within the lines of your palms. Rubies ebbing into your life line, your love lines, and into your death— you'd carry the life you've taken until you're six feet underground, decaying, milky bones turning to dust, food for the worms. And yet, the blood in your hands would stay there, even when your hands are eaten by the soil, brought back to where you once came.
Hobie's right, this place changes you. Molds you into something that can survive its harsh environment, just like the plants you once read about. And just like the coiling vines, the flowers that wait and bite their prey; the leaves that kill when cut— you intend to survive the harshness of it all.
With a deep inhale, you leave the metal tub. Water splashes across the floor as you stand up, the even colder air leaves goosebumps in its wake. You dry yourself and dress like an automaton, movements rigid, eyes blank.
Opening the door with a creak, you're met with Hobie standing in the hallway, just across from you. His hand still lingers around the doorknob, viridescent eyes blinking slowly at you.
For a second that felt like hours, you watched each other. How his eyes flick over your form and over his work shirt that you wear. How water still clings to his chest, soaking parts of his white shirt. And how his finger twitches around the doorknob whilst steam escapes from the slits in the doorway. He observes you with vigilant eyes, how your lips are slightly parted, chest breathing heavily. And how much your legs are begging to run towards him, feet pointed in his direction, heels lifted up slightly, but you don't. You don't run to him, instead, you toss him the keys to the room before he could ask for it himself. He catches it with ease.
“You're closer to the room.” Walking closer, you rub your arms for warmth.
Hobie sniffs, hand wiping a stray droplet from his forehead, pack slung over his shoulder. He unlocks the door that's a few steps away, with a click, he opens it for you.
“You look like you're about to pass out.”
You push past him, trying to smile, but you fail. “I feel like I will in a second—” pausing by the doorway, you sharply inhale. “You asked for two beds right?”
“Yeah— fucker.” Hobie clicks his tongue at the sight of the single bed standing in the room. “I'll go get our rooms changed.”
“I'm fucking tired, Hobs.” You lumber your way towards the inviting bed, too tired to even check the room and its sparse décor. “Complain tomorrow. It's not like we haven't shared a bed before.”
“That was different—”
“How is it any different?” Shucking off your shoes, you blink at him through tired eyes. “It's just sleeping next to each other. We were doing anything but that back then.”
He curses breathlessly under his breath. “Fine, don't hog the blanket.”
“Don't kick in your sleep.” You smile for the first time since you pulled the trigger. Slithering inside the warm covers, you lay your head on the lumpy pillows. Heaven to you after sleeping but nothing on the ground or hay for the past few weeks.
“I don't kick in my sleep.” Hobie does the same, laying next to you, giving you enough space in between. “You're the one who kicks in your sleep. Like a fuckin' donkey.”
You lay on your side, inching closer to him. “Please, I'm more of a mustang, not a donkey.”
“Back then you were more like the rider than a horse.” He jokes with a smug smile across his lips.
Your cheeks are aflame, laugh creeping up your throat. The heaviness in your chest subsides, the blood in your hands thins. “You wanna bet?”
Hobie's joking expression is replaced by something else. Flustered, amused, and a mix of an emotion that he has only felt for you. “Fuckin' hell, love.” He turns away from you, lest he lets his thoughts get to him. “Good night, you fuckin' minx.” He hears you laugh, immediately he wants to turn back around and meet you face to face, just like before. But he doesn't.
You're met with his back. The feeling comes back, like a cockroach that wouldn't die even with how much you try to stomp on it. It was foolish to think that he'd love you forever. It was foolish to think that he'd greet you with open arms after years of being apart. How foolish, they'd always whisper to you, naive, and stupid, always standing on the edge of the crowd, eyes always looking for something, someone. Someone that lays before you now.
“Good night, Hobie.” He mouths your next words like clockwork. “Only dream of good things.” You refrain from doing the next thing, a kiss for sweet dreams, a whisper of the three words to remind him of you in the dreamworld.
Hobie silently wishes you did.
Soon enough, soft snores can be heard from behind him. Peeking over his shoulder, he makes sure you're asleep before quietly standing up. Sheets rustling, he tiptoes over the noisy planks, breathing silent. Hobie takes a chair from the corner, propping it under the doorknob, shaking the chair, he makes sure that it's locked up tightly. He can never be sure with the simple singular lock on the door.
Once he's sure that it will hold up, he takes his gun from the hanging gun belt, checking the chamber, he keeps it on the waistband of his trousers. After checking all the windows and the fireplace, he finally joins you back in bed. Gun placed on the bedside, ready to be used just in case. Laying on his side, he faces you, observing how the moon shines just across your face. You look peaceful, relaxed, and he remembers how much he has missed you. Like an impossible itch. A craving that cannot be satiated. Incurable, until you're within reach.
His tired eyes stare at the glaring scar across the back of your hand. Hobie remembers how you got the scar on your hand, it was warm that day, searing hot whilst you ran into the woods frantically to meet him. As a result of your unmindful actions, a sharp branch takes a chunk of your skin; leaving him to sew it close for you. He reminisces of how your face contorts to pain with every suture, and how you grip his shoulder to tamp down your screams. He wasn't careful, or even thinking about how it would scar, he just wanted to get it over with so you'd stop hurting. He held you for hours after, held you more after your great aunt saw the damage. She called you broken that day.
He blinks and he's back to the present. He can never go back. You can never go back. So he inches his hand closer to yours, pinky brushing along your skin. Finally, he curls his pinky finger around your ring finger. Linking his life line to yours. Just like he always does to the identical hidden ring around his neck. Your scar peers from the side, a reminder that everything that happened before was real. That all those saccharin touches and words were flesh and blood. He wishes he could go back, to take you away the moment she called you broken.
In his sleep he dreams of you.

You And I
Tumblr media
Summary: Alyssa always wanted Harry, so every time he called, she was there waiting for him at the bar. But one night, things shifted between them.
Warnings: Smut, oral (f receiving), maybe a little angst. 18+ ONLY!
Word Count: 4.5k+
A/N: Originally written and posted in 2019. Harry x OC, AU, written in first person. Loosely inspired by the Lady Gaga song (not the 1D song lol).
Tumblr media
He’d told me to wait for him at the bar. I sat at the corner, nursing a gin and tonic while the band broke down their equipment. I laughed when Billy Joel’s “Piano Man” began playing through the speakers, the line about the old man making love to his tonic and gin poignantly accentuating the scene.
“Fitting, yeah?” chuckled Bruno, the bartender I’d come to know well over the last few months.
I sneered at him as I stirred the little straw in my glass. “I dunno. I was thinking more along the lines of Lady Gaga.”
“Gaga?” Bruno raised a brow.
“Y’know. At the corner of the bar with my high heels on.”
Bruno’s shoulders shook with laughter as he wiped down the bar in front of me. “I’ll put that one on next, darling.”
“Put what on next?” I heard a voice call behind me.
I twisted around on my stool to see Harry stepping off the stage, an easy grin on his handsome face. I returned the smile, happy to get a better look at him. For the first time, the band had opted to wear makeup, something I’d urged them to try before but had never happened.
“You and I,” I teased, swinging one leg over the other. “The Gaga song.”
“Hmm,” he sounded as he approached me. Reaching his hand out, he cupped my chin, lifting it slightly before placing a soft kiss on my painted lips.
“I reckon when it comes to you and I, there will be no putting on…” he paused, a smirk causing his dimple to appear in his left cheek. “Only taking off.”
“Oh Styles, but you do have a way with words,” I quipped in a playful, faux accent.
He let out a giggle then, apparently amused by his own joke. He gave me one more kiss before tapping his hand on the bar.
“Bruno,” he said. “One more shot for the road?”
“Long as you ain’t driving, love!”
Harry eyed me, no doubt silently questioning how many drinks I’d had. In the two hours I’d been at the bar, I’d only had two drinks including the current half-drunk one in front of me. I’d watched Harry and his bandmates drink at least twice as much during their set, in addition to shots that fans in the audience had sent up.
“I’m good,” I reassured him. I was his drive home anyway. It was kind of understood.
With a nod, Bruno poured Harry a shot of dark golden liquid. Taking it in his hand, Harry clinked the glass against mine and downed it in one gulp. Lowering the glass, he smirked again when he caught me staring at him.
“Wha’?” he asked.
“Just looking at you,” I replied. “You look good with eyeliner.”
“Yeah?”
“Mhm. Kinda sexy, actually.”
“You think?” Harry stepped closer to me, loving the attention.
“Indeed,” I continued. Then when Bruno came around and took Harry’s empty glass, I asked him. “Bruno, don’t you think Harry looks sexy with eyeliner?”
“Of course, doll!” he agreed. “Sexy AF!”
I threw my head back laughing and Harry gave Bruno a wink. “Thanks, love.”
“Sing us a song, you’re the piano man!”
At the sound of singing, I turned around again to see Jeremiah, Harry’s drummer walking towards us. The youngest member of the band, he looked so much like Pete Wentz, especially tonight with the black eyeliner.
“All packed up, H!” he told Harry. “Ready to go?”
“Um...no…” Harry tilted his head to gesture towards me. “Alyssa’s here.”
Jeremiah looked from his bandmate to me and then back, the lightbulb going off in his head.
“Oh! Yeah! Right! Sorry, mate! I’ll just…” he pointed behind him, “head out. Good to see you, Alyssa.”
“You too, hon,” I smiled. “You were smashing it tonight.”
“Thanks,” Jeremiah beamed. Then with one last wave, he stumbled over his own feet and left the way he’d come. I giggled at his adorable awkwardness, blaming it on his youth.
Swiveling back to face Harry and Bruno, I took the last few sips of my cocktail which was mostly water by then. The first chords of “You and I” started then, and I lifted my gaze to the bartender who danced with glee.
“It has been a long time since you came around,” Harry quoted the lyrics as he slid his arm around my waist.
“Two weeks, Harry,” I chuckled. “I was sat right here at this bar two weeks ago.”
“Two weeks is a long time t’me,” he murmured, his lips finding the tender spot behind my ear. I giggled softly at the touch which sent goose flesh across my skin.
“I doubt that’s the time frame Gaga was referring to,” I said wryly. “Besides, you want me around more often, perhaps you should ring or text me.”
I heard Bruno make a muffled sound of shock from behind the bar as Harry’s mouth stalled on my neck.
“I reckon I should do that,” admitted Harry.
He stood up straight then, his eyes on mine as I gave him an accusing glare. It wasn’t that I really doubted he wanted me around. But sometimes I needed that reassurance.
“You look beautiful by the way,” he said, though his words were interrupted a bit by the noise of two more lads approaching.
“Alyssa! You made it!” shouted Gavin, the band’s guitarist.
I rose from my stool and hugged both him and Max, the bassist. Two females soon followed, and I noticed the one whom I didn’t recognise wrapped her arms around Max.
“I’m so glad you went with the eyeliner tonight,” I commented. “I don’t suspect you’ll allow me to take the credit.”
Gavin grinned, “Of course, darling, it was your idea.”
“No it wasn’t,” Harry jabbed.
I turned and poked him in the ribs. “Yes it was. Let me have my moment.”
He threw his head back laughing before pulling me to him in a bear hug. I could tell he was drunk, and I could smell the whiskey on his breath, the sweat beneath his shirt, but I didn’t mind. Some of our most fun times were when we could tease each other like this. Still, sometimes I did wish he would just be honest and tell me how he felt about me, rather than always being light-hearted and funny.
Gavin, Max and the girls all got beers from Bruno before he closed up the bar. We all sat and chatted for a bit before saying our goodbyes. Then with a look - that unspoken understanding - Harry stepped off his stool, reached for my hand and followed me out to my car.
“You’re different tonight,” he finally said after a long stretch of silence except for the 90s playlist I had going.
I raised a brow as I stopped at a red light. “How do you mean?”
“I dunno. You just...are.”
I eyed him and then turned back to the road. “I got a new lipstick.”
Harry chuckled and shook his head. “‘s not that. You just...seem different.”
The light changed and I accelerated, my heartbeat doing the same.
“I’m sorry, Harry, I don’t understand. I’m still me.”
I heard Harry hum, perhaps in agreement. He was quiet again while the music changed from Alanis Morissette to Pearl Jam. I wondered what he meant exactly, though part of me had my own suspicions. Then when I was nearly a block from my flat, Harry reached over and turned down the radio, muting the voice of Eddie Vedder.
“Are we okay?” he asked me.
I stopped myself from giggling, something I sometimes tend to do when I’m anxious or nervous. Instead, I bit my lip and let his question roll around in my head. I pulled up to my building and parked before I finally let out a tiny laugh.
“We’re always okay, Harry,” I said with a grin.
Pulling the key out of the ignition, I opened my car door and stepped out. I half wondered if Harry would actually follow, but as I stepped onto the sidewalk, I heard the slam of the passenger door. Meeting me at the curb, he took my hand and walked with me up the stairs to my flat.
“I don’t have whiskey,” I called after I’d tossed my keys on the table and made my way to the kitchen. “But I have vodka and wine.”
“None for me, thanks,” I heard Harry reply.
“What?” I turned around, my eyes wide. Harry always wanted a nightcap.
“Yeah, ‘m fine.”
“Oh.” Now he was the one who seemed different.
“Did something happen, Alyssa?”
Taken aback, I paused a moment and shook my head. “Something...like what? When?”
“Since I saw you last,” replied Harry.
I turned from him, pretending to walk to the refrigerator. Then I changed my mind and took a glass down from the cupboard and poured myself water from the tap.
“Lots of things happen in two weeks, love,” I commented. “I’m not sure what you’re referring to.”
Setting my untouched glass on the counter, I looked back at him. His face was expressionless, though his eyes seemed to reveal a bit more. Perhaps it was the makeup. No wonder they call the look “emo”.
“Tell me,” Harry said softly.
“Oh, so now you wanna talk?” I accused.
He stared at me blankly. “Yeah, baby.”
I snorted. “So, I’m baby now?”
“Alyssa…”
Ignoring the tone of his voice, I sighed and looked away.
“Let’s see…” I began. “I’ve been working a lot. Visited my mum last Saturday. Got my nails done. And bought the new lipstick like I mentioned...oh and I got a new succulent, see?” I reached for my newest addition to my cactus collection to show him. “I’ve named this one Prince because he has a bit of a purple hue to him-”
“I’m sorry,” he interrupted.
I stared at him, frozen. “Sorry? For what?”
Harry stepped closer to me, taking Prince from my hands and setting it on the counter. “I’m sorry I waited two weeks to ring you.”
“Oh.” I blinked.
Sliding his hands around my waist, he pulled me to him. Tilting his head, he pressed his lips to mine, softly at first. When I responded with my hands sliding up his shoulders, he kissed me harder, with purpose.
“I do like the new lipstick,” he murmured against my lips. I grinned when I noticed some of it had rubbed off onto him.
“You have such pretty lips,” he added, his eyes focused on my mouth. “First thing I wanna do when I see you is kiss them.”
I smiled at his comment, not just from flattery but because I’d always felt the same about his.
“I also meant it when I said you looked beautiful.”
“Thank you,” I whispered. “So do you.”
Harry grinned then, a sexy smirk. “You like the eyeliner, yeah?”
“I really do,” I nodded. “I think you should wear it more often.”
“I will if you come ‘round more often.”
“You have to ring me, Styles,” I reminded him. “I have a life, you know. As much as you may like to think otherwise, I don’t keep up with your schedule.”
“Maybe I should give it to you,” Harry said, his voice deep with no trace of humour as his hands roamed down to my bum. I couldn’t help but giggle.
“My schedule, I mean,” he added with his own chuckle. “God, woman, what are you doing to me?”
“Me?” I raised a brow.
“Yes, you. You get me all flustered, I dunno what I’m saying.”
“I’m just stood here, Harry.”
“That’s enough.”
I studied his face, trying my best to read his eyes. The green seemed more defined with the black liner, and for a split second I felt my stomach flip. I lifted my hand to touch a curl that had fallen across his forehead and heard him release a breath.
The man was definitely a mystery. For months I’d shown up here or there to see his band play. In between we might’ve had a few dates, but I never felt like what we had was anything serious. We always ended up shagging, and it wasn’t like I regretted it. We definitely had that chemistry, and we were good in bed. But I didn’t think he considered me his girlfriend; I didn’t think he considered me at all. At least, not until he was ready to see me again. And like always, I would be there when he wanted, because I really liked him.
But then he’d turn around and say something like this and I’d get all kinds of confused.
As it was, I had a hard time concentrating myself with his hands on my rear end. His lined eyes kept shifting between my own eyes and my mouth, and I could tell he wanted to kiss me again. This time, however, I was the one to give in, reaching for his neck and pulling him to me.
“Mmm, baby…” he moaned against my lips. He’d called me baby a handful of times before, but it never really meant much to me like it did now. I wasn’t sure exactly what it was...perhaps I was wanting him to feel what I felt. Or just...something.
I let my fingers linger on his chest before I began to unbutton his shirt. I knew where this was headed, but I wasn’t about to stop it. Feelings or no feelings, I wanted him in my bed again.
When I reached the bottom button, our lips broke free and Harry stared at me once again, his eyes now full of desire. At least I had a knack for reading that. Just like in the pub, I took his hand with an unspoken understanding and we walked down the hall to my bedroom.
“You got new sheets,” Harry commented.
I cringed, not sure if I was more embarrassed that I’d left my bed unmade or that he’d been there enough times to notice the sheets were different. Nervously I straightened the pillows before reaching behind me to unzip my dress.
“Let me,” I heard Harry say.
He strode across the room to me, his fingers on the zipper before I could protest. When my dress fell off my shoulders, his hands took its place, pushing it down the rest of the way. I felt the chills down to my toes as I stepped out of my heels and turned to face him.
I reckon I expected him to gawk at me some more like he’d been doing all evening, so I was completely surprised when his mouth crashed into mine. I immediately wound my arms around his neck and he lifted me up and onto the bed. He continued his assault on my mouth while his fingers tangled in my hair at the sides of my head. I could feel his erection through his jeans, the friction a fabulous sensation between my legs. Bending my knees, I lifted my hips slightly as I let out a gasp, the feeling of denim on cotton nearly too much for me.
Harry paused the snogging long enough to sit up and loop his fingers through the sides of my knickers. He looked at my face as he bit his lip. I wondered for a second if he was changing his mind, as this was usually not a part of the scenario where he’d stop.
“Something wrong?” I dare asked.
“Do you want me, Alyssa?”
My immediate reaction was more confusion. He’d never asked me that before. Sure, he’d moaned in my ear or against my mouth on more than one occasion that he wanted me. But he’d never asked if I wanted him. My expression softened and I gave him a smile.
“I always want you, Harry.”
With the tiniest grin and a nod, he pulled my panties down and let them fall on the floor. Then stood at the edge of the bed, he began to remove his own pants. I reached over to the bedside table then where I kept the condoms and pulled one out of the drawer.
“I promise I’ll bring my own next time,” I heard him say.
Lying on my back, I watched him crawl up the bed again.
“Next time?” I couldn’t help but razz him. The first time he’d stayed over, he didn’t have protection, but I did. I reckon after that it was just assumed.
“Yeah…” he lowered his face to mine. “Next time, love. I promise.”
He kissed me softly then, the softest kiss ever. He continued with a second on my chin, a third on my neck, a fourth on my chest…
I lost count after that.
I gripped the sheets underneath me when I felt his breath on my inner thigh. A low moan-like sound escaped my throat as I felt his thumb graze over me where I was already wet and waiting.
“You want me here?” Harry asked.
I barely heard him, his voice was so low and deep. But somehow my insides reacted and I managed to make a sound similar to yes.
I shut my eyes when I felt his tongue on me. He licked me delicately at first, like he was testing the temperature of his tea. I squirmed underneath him until he looped his arms around my legs and pulled me closer to him, his tongue pressing just a bit.
“Harry…” I panted. “Oh god.”
My legs shook around his head while he began to devour me, his tongue working faster. Opening my eyes, I began to watch him, as much as I could at least. I reached down and pushed that one stubborn curl from his forehead and his eyes shifted up, locking with mine.
“‘s that good, baby?” he murmured, barely tearing his mouth away.
I merely nodded, the only thing I could manage at the moment besides coming undone. I bit my finger when he smiled and resumed his task, making me reach the edge.
I tugged on his hair as I came, calling out his name. He nipped at my thighs gently as they trembled before climbing up the bed to hover over me.
For a solid minute or two, he just stared at me. Perhaps he was waiting for me to say something. Perhaps he was waiting for the green light. Or perhaps he was just waiting for me to stop shaking, I dunno. But I swear his gaze was like a magnet. I couldn’t look away.
The eyeliner had begun to smudge a bit from his recent activity. I started to reach up to swipe my thumb underneath his eye when I remembered the condom in my hand. I smiled and raised my brows, offering it to him.
“You still want me, baby?” he asked, taking it from me.
“What did I say?”
“Just making sure.”
Harry uncertainty was definitely something I was not used to, but as I watched him roll the condom on, I wondered if it wasn’t a put-on. He was nothing if not confident.
Situating himself, he kissed me once more before looking into my eyes.
“I always want you too, Alyssa,” he murmured.
Then before I could respond, he entered me fully. I gasped a tiny breath when I realised how deep he was so quickly. Then exhaling through my nose, I wrapped my legs around him.
“Mmm, I love when you do that,” he said.
I couldn’t help but giggle, knowing that was definitely something he liked, and I liked pleasing him. We moved together, a slow, steady rhythm at first. I could already feel my core reacting, my most sensitive spots throbbing.
He lifted his head again and I watched his face, his eyes burning into mine as he began to move faster. I had to unravel my legs from him, lifting my knees to give him more room for thrusts. Then with a groan, he sat back and held my hips as he fucked me hard. I bit my lip to keep my moans at bay, but I couldn’t help it. Dropping my arms beside my head, I cursed and called his name.
“Yeah, baby,” he growled. “So good, innit?”
“Fuck, yes.”
He slowed down then, a low chuckle releasing from his throat. “C’mere.”
I looked at him in wonder as he guided me up and onto his lap. I noticed then that he was perspiring, beads of sweat dripping on his forehead. This time I did reach to wipe them off, but instead Harry took my hands and kissed the backs of them.
“You’re amazing, Alyssa, you know that?”
I beamed at him as I slowly began to ride him.
“You want me, Harry?” I asked, wrapping my arms around his neck as his gorgeous green eyes looked up at me, the makeup starting to run down one cheek. I didn’t want to wipe it away this time. He looked so sexy.
“Always,” he replied.
I licked my lips and kissed him hard, my tongue wrestling with his. His hands covered my breasts while my hips moved gingerly. Then breaking the kiss, I rode him faster, bouncing on his lap.
“Oh, Jesus,” he moaned as he moved his hands to my hips for leverage.
“Is that good?” I asked him, just like he’d asked me earlier.
“Fuck yeah, baby, you drive me crazy.”
I watched his face, knowing he was close to unraveling. He let out a few expletives as his fingers dug into my flesh.
“Come for me, baby,” I urged. I couldn’t help it. I wanted to watch him, and just the thought of it made me drip with delight.
“You first,” he shook his head.
I wanted to argue that I already had, and that was enough. But I knew he’d just argue back. This goddamn boy. He was going to make me fall for him, wasn’t he?
I slowed down my pace, only slightly as I needed to rejuvenate. My breaths evening out and heartbeat slowing, I kissed him again. Our lips still locked, Harry grabbed my waist and laid me back on the bed again. Then he lifted my leg and pounded me hard.
“Fuck, Harry!” I screamed.
“Wrap your legs around me, love,” he requested.
I came immediately, the sensation of him deep inside and the sounds of his moans tipping me over the edge. My body trembled beneath his as his breaths quickened in my ear.
“Baby…” he groaned. “Oh, Alyssa.”
The sounds he made as he came were indescribable. This wasn’t our first shag. But it was definitely our first something else.
I lay spent on the dampened sheets, wishing I’d remembered to turn on the fan. Sticky with sweat, Harry rolled off of me, discarded the condom into the nearby bin and laid on his back breathing hard. We stayed like that for a while in silence until Harry surprised me again.
“I’m sorry, baby,” he said for the...how many times? I turned my head to look at him, but his gaze was on the ceiling, his chest rising and falling rapidly.
“I’m sorry I didn’t text just to let you know I was thinking of you. Because I was.”
My breath caught in my throat but I managed to clear it. “You were?”
“‘Course.” He turned onto his side to face me. His lips were so close to mine if either of us moved only slightly, they would touch.
“How was I supposed to know that, Harry?” I asked just above a whisper.
Shaking his head, he seemed to consider my question. “I reckon you weren’t. I’m sorry.”
I bit my lip as he leant his forehead against mine and swung his arm across my waist. He hummed softly as though he had a song in his head.
“I wish I’d rung you to talk about your day. To ask about work or your mum. To hear about your adorable succulents.”
His last comment made me smile. “To be fair, you did text me Wednesday. So not quite two weeks.”
“Fucking Wednesday. Jesus, Alyssa,” he sighed. “And a text. How the fuck am I to expect us to be okay when I bloody text you on a Wednesday?”
I narrowed my eyes. “Are we okay? Because you kind of have me worried now.”
“Yeah, if I haven’t already fucked it up,” he groaned.
“Harry…I never said you fucked it up. I’m still here. I still came to your show. I showed up and waited at the bar like you asked me to.”
“Yeah. I know.”
“Did I really seem different tonight?” I asked.
“Not...well, kinda. You just...didn’t seem like yourself, that’s all.”
“Well then, I apologise, because I thought I was the same as I’ve always been - the same as you want.”
“What I want?” Harry asked incredulously.
“Well, Harry…” I hesitated. “We’ve never really discussed what we want from each other. But I assumed you didn’t want anything serious. We’re like...friends with benefits I reckon.”
“No, we’re not,” he stated.
My jaw dropped as I glared at him.
“I don’t want you to be..." he added.
“What?”
“Baby, I don’t want you to be just a friend with benefits. I want...this.” Harry gestured between us.
“This?”
“Us. You and I. Or, um...you and me, whatever.”
I could feel my heart beating in my chest, and I was sure it was so loud he could hear it. “Seriously?”
Harry nodded, his hand sliding underneath my jaw. “I want you, baby.”
I sighed, tears starting to form in my eyes. Blinking fast, I swallowed hard. “What brought this on?”
“I’ve been trying to tell you. I don’t mean just sex. I want you, for real. I was gutted when I thought something had changed between us, but then I realised it was my own fucking fault.”
“I don’t...know what to say, Harry.”
“Say you want me too. You and I.”
I smiled as I reached for him, kissing him tenderly and eagerly. “Always.”
Harry’s dimples appeared in his cheeks as he beamed at me. I couldn’t help it. I started giggling.
“Oh love,” I sighed. “Please tell me you’ll continue to do the eyeliner thing. I’m with Bruno. You look sexy AF.”
Harry chuckled. “Yeah?”
“Mhmm. Truth? You look completely fucked. And I love that it was with me. Only makes me want you more.”
“Well, in that case,” he murmured low, pulling my leg across his, “I’ll wear it from now on.”
“Just so I know it’s for me, and not your groupies.”
Harry snorted. “Or Bruno?”
“Eh, I don’t mind so much about Bruno. He’s on my side.”
Harry laughed harder before kissing me across my cheek and down my neck.
“You really are amazing, Alyssa,” he whispered in my ear. “Now...tell me about your succulents.”
“Well Prince is the newest, like I said,” I began, Harry’s mouth continuing its trail down my neck and shoulder. “Mick and Freddie were my first two and they’re still going strong. But Bowie is a bit temperamental…”

It’s your summertime magic

Tumblr media
The summer sun feels nice on your skin as you relax in your chair. You have been cooped up inside the house working nonstop for the last few weeks and have nearly gone stir crazy. After your last breakdown, your boyfriend Will insisted that you take time off. Despite your hatred for the heat, you both decided a nice quiet day on the beach was exactly what you needed. A nice day is exactly what you were having. Quiet? There is no quiet when you're dating Will Ramos.
You had nearly fallen asleep when you're startled awake by the feeling of cold water dripping all over you. You open your eyes, preemptively squinting expecting the sun to be in your face but Will's body is blocking it. He looms over you with a childish grin on his face—his pink curls are soaking wet and matted to his forehead.
"Wake up, sleepyhead." He sings. He pokes his tongue into his cheek to try not to laugh.
"Will, what is wrong with you?! You're soaking wet and it's freezing cold."
"I'm bored," He pouts. "I've been swimming and building sandcastles by myself this whole time and you've been sleeping!”
The thought of your boyfriend, a 30-year-old man covered in tattoos who is also the vocalist in a deathcore band building sandcastles is equally adorable and hilarious. In fact, it's so adorable you struggle not to pull him on top of you and kiss him senseless, but you're dedicated to pretending you're mad at him.
"I'm relaxing! Remember? That thing you said I needed so much of." You retort, crossing your arms over your chest. It's an attempt to seem serious but the way he's grinning at you ruins your facade and you fail to hide your own smile.
"Well," He says, getting as close to you as he can and shaking his head. Droplets of water fly all over your face and you gasp from shock and the cold. "You've been relaxing all morning. It's time to have some fun."
Suddenly you're being lifted from the beach chair as he hooks an arm underneath you and throws you over his shoulder. You scream, laughing loudly as he runs both of you straight into the ocean, tossing you into the water and diving in along with you. When you both pop up, you attach yourself to him—kissing him tenderly. He wraps his arms around your waist, one hand gently curling around the back of your neck. You place a few more pecks to his lips and pull back admiring him. He always looks at you like you hung the moon and placed all of the stars in the sky by hand. You often wonder how you got so lucky with such an amazing boy. Smiling fondly, you place one last kiss on his soft lips, and then playfully dunk his head underwater.
Tumblr media
The feeling of Will's warm sun kissed chest against your back somehow makes the beautiful scenery even better. The sky is painted with pink and orange hues as you watch the sunset together. His arms tighten around your waist—his nose nuzzling further into your neck as he places delicate kisses along your jaw. Both of you are exhausted from a day spent in the sun. Your skin is sticky from sunscreen and saltwater. Your hair is a matted mess and your shoulders are sunburned but at the moment you've never felt more at peace. Will whispers I love you into your ear and you sink into him a little more. You'll thank him for the perfect day later.

Could you make a fanfic where king Baldwin has a very obsessive fan who keeps writing poetry about him and publishing it in Jerusalem and one day he finds her ?
I’d appreciate a bit of angst , thank you lots
♧ Secret Admirer - King Baldwin x Reader ♧
Tumblr media
♧ Angst ♧
A/N: Hello Anon, thank you for this request. I had a lot of fun with this one, it was different and I like it a lot. As always, this is based on the film Kingdom Of Heaven, not the real historical figures. Enjoy!
TW: Mentions of death/murder, Mentions of stalking
“My lord, a letter for you” the young servant boy called out softly.
Baldwin stood from his desk and took the letter from the boy's hands. “Thank you my friend” he replied, turning the letter over in his hands as the boy scurried out of the room.
Needless to say, he was confused. This was the fifteenth letter he had received that month, written on the same type of parchment, in the same type of envelope, with the same wax seal that he did not recognise.
Baldwin sat back down at his desk and opened the letter slowly so as not to damage it. He already knew what it would be.
Just like all the others, the letters contained a single piece of parchment with a beautifully written poem on it. But not just any poem, a poem about himself.
He had not only been sent these poems, but he had also seen others about him being published in newly written books and just placed around the kingdom in general.
This came before he began receiving the letters, almost as if whoever wrote them wanted him to notice. They were always signed anonymously and never included a place of sending.
The whole ordeal had the king confused but intrigued. The poems, although slightly odd, were beautiful and very well written. They often detailed how much they admired him and longed to meet him, each one littered with compliments of not only his work, but appearance as well.
Needless to say, as confused as he was, Baldwin was truly flattered. He was determined to find just who was responsible for the beautiful work. He wanted to know who they were to show his gratitude and ask why they would write such things. He pondered this as he sat at his desk, reading the poem over and over.
--------------
On the other side of the kingdom, y/n sat at her own desk, inside her small family home. Well, it used to be her family home. Not anymore.
She was entirely lost in her writing, as per usual. It was her escape from reality. In her writing, she could allow herself to be lost in the beauty of her king.
Baldwin was her obsession.
She adored him, even though he had no idea that she even existed. She loved him with her heart and soul. She admired him from a distance, memorized every detail of his masked face and clothed body.
Her house was decorated with horrifically realistic drawings and paintings of him. She wanted nothing more than for him to one day see her. Notice her, touch her, feel her.
She wanted him down to the bone, she wanted his heart and soul just as he had hers.
Y/n was always odd. Her family thought of her as a freak. But the tables turned on them, and now they were gone. Y/n made sure of it. She had to do it. She had no choice. They were going to accuse her of witchcraft, she could not be sentenced to death before feeling the love of her life beneath her fingertips, just once.
She could not allow that to happen.
She barely remembered it, it all seemed like an awful dream now. But one day they were there, then they were gone. All four of them. Her father, her mother, her sister and brother. But she did not need them. All she needed was her quill, her parchment, and her beautiful muse.
-------------
It was late evening when y/n set out to put her poetry up around the kingdom.
She did this often, it was the only way she could let the world see her gift. Women were not permitted to do such things like publishing work so this was the only way the world could see how she felt.
That along with the anonymous book publishings. But she was not sure if he would see that or not. Not only that, but the letters she sent to, but she did not want to send too many. Just in case they found her through where they were delivered from.
She walked around the palace, nailing parchment onto the high walls that surrounded the castle. Dodging the guards, keeping in the dark.
Staying hidden was what she was good at. Unfortunately for y/n, that night would be different.
“HEY YOU! STOP RIGHT THERE!” a voice shouted from behind her. Y/n did not hesitate to run.
She did not even turn around to see who it was, she knew it had to be a royal guard. She could hear them running after her. They were fast, but she was faster. Not being clothed in metal armor gave her the advantage. It wasn't until she rounded a corner that she was caught, coming face to face with two large guards.
----------------
Y/n was bought into the castle in shackles. The guards pushed her to the ground, she kept her eyes on the floor the entire time, refusing to speak to anyone.
A tall man with graying hair was the one who attempted to make her speak. “Do you want to tell us what you were doing young lady?” he asked her, bending down to look her in the eyes.
She refused to look at him, her long unkempt hair hung in front of her thin face. Her large building eyes stared off to the side, just behind him. She still said nothing.
“Would you care to explain yourself to the king instead?” he offererd.
Y/n’s eyes shot up to look at him. “Why does he need to know about this? I was just putting up flyers” she lied confidently.
“You call this a flier?” the man asked, holding up one of her poems for her to see. “I think the king would like to know who his mystery stalker is after all these months” he stood up, gesturing to the guards to force her to her feet as well.
“You will be brought to the king this instant. This matter has gone on long enough and it's time that it is resolved. He can decide your fate”
------------
Y/n was placed in a holding cell underneath the castle while the man went to inform the king of her capture.
Since it was late at night, Baldwin had long since retired to his bedchambers and was currently dozing with a book open on his chest.
He was immediately jolted awake when Tiberias knocked on the wooden door. The king sat up groggily, reaching for his mask “you may enter!” he called out when his mask was concealing his face securely.
Tiberias entered the room quickly. “I am sorry to wake you my lord, but this is an urgent matter. The person who has been sending the letters has been identified as a young woman, we have her in the dungeon holding cell and she is awaiting you to decide her fate-”
Baldwin got to his feet quickly, any lasting tiredness leaving his body instantly. “Please, take me to her at once” he ordered.
------------
Y/n sat in the small cell, staring ahead of her at the wall. She was weighing up her options.
She could tell the truth and declare that she was the one to write the poems, allowing the odd secret to be shared to her muse or she could lie and say she was paid to put them up by someone else.
She decided on the first option.
If she were to be executed, at least she could die with the knowledge that the man she loved the very most in the world at least knew how she felt.
Not long after this decision, she was pulled from the cell into a larger room. Still in the shackles, she was pushed to the floor and two guards stood either side of her.
Then he entered.
Baldwin was in the same room as her. She felt her heart skip a beat, but little did she know, his heart did too.
He was as anxious as he was curious to meet the person who had written to him, and now she was right in front of him. And she was oddly beautiful. In a slightly creepy way.
She had large eyes that stared up at him with admiration, but also subtle kindness too. Her long hair hung around her shoulders, slightly covering her face and she wore a slightly dirty white dress. He figured it was dirty from the cell. She was pale and a little strange, but still beautiful.
“So, my secret admirer” he chuckled.
Y/n was surprised by this. She was not sure what she was expecting. Perhaps anger, maybe even a hint of fear at her obsession, like her family felt in their last minutes.
“Yes, “ she said bluntly. Her eyes returning to their place on the ground in front of him. “I must say,” Baldwin said softly, bending down to meet her eye. “I love your work” he added after a few seconds.
Y/n looked at him with shock. She could see his bright blue eyes behind his mask, looking right at her. It was the most amazing moment of her life. She felt as if she could die a happy woman, right there and then.
“You- you do?” she stammered slightly. “Yes, very much so. Your poems are beautiful” he replied, she could have sworn he smiled slightly.
She tried her best not to blush, but she couldn't help it. The blood rose to her cheeks quicker than the grin formed on her face.
He was so close to her, crouched down just in front of her face. He was looking at her. Right at her. Telling her that he loved her work. This had to have been a dream.
“Thank you my lord” she uttered, voice barely above a whisper. The king rose to his feet slowly. “You shall remain here for the night. I would love to speak with you more in the morning”  he told her. Y/n nodded with anticipation.
She was shown to the servant chambers. As per the king's request, she would not remain in the filth of the dungeon. In his words, “she was no longer a prisoner, but a guest”.
---------------
As Baldwin settled back into his bed for the night. His mind drifted back to her. Perhaps this would be the beginning of something very worthwhile.
