WIBTA if i wrote a psa about people who broke my tos

i make character adopts on toyhou.se and deviantart. i like designing characters but i rarely ever use them so i put them up for adoption so they can go to good homes. i have a tos for adopting my characters, which everyone is required to read before i go through with the adopt. the tos has rules about giving the character to someone else, which is that the current owner of the oc has to ask me first. there s a few reasons for this:

1 i dont want anyone reselling my character for more money than they bought them for unless they add value to the character by commissioning art or writing because its unfair to me who created the character if someone upsells them without adding value. having people ask first let's me make sure theyre not upcharging my work unfairly

2 i dont want certain people owning my characters. i have trauma surrounding certain people adopting my characters and using them problematically. for example someone ill call A once made my black characters skin lighter even though my tos says you cant change my characters race or body types. someone else, B, put my character into a proship relationship which is TOTALLY BANNED in my tos. i have a public list of people who are NOT allowed to own my characters and the idea of them owning them makes me super uncomfortable because i know theyll use my characters for bad things

3 it lets me make sure that the new owner has read my tos

a couple months ago someone (ill call them C) adopted a character of mine named lupin. a couple of days ago i was looking at my designs and i saw that lupin was now owned by D. i checked the ownership log which said that C traded lupin with D but i dont know what character C got in return. i sent C a message asking why they traded lupin without my permission and they said they didnt think they had to because it was a trade and not a sale. i told them that i have trauma around people giving my characters to others without permission and C said that i should talk to D instead because they (C) no longer owned the character.

i went to Ds profile and on their user page i saw a blocked comment so i unhid the comment and saw that it was B thanking D for following B. this set off alarm bells because i know that B is proship which is why i blocked them in the first place! so i decide to look into D, i find their tumblr and i find out that theyre also proship, they ship incest and they reblog irredeemable media like the coffin of andy and leyley

D wasnt on my blacklist specifically but its against my tos for proshippers to own my characters under any circumstances and its grounds for revocation. i message D to tell them that im revoking the character because theyre breaking my tos but D refused to transfer lupin back to me and blocked me.

i reuploaded lupins profile to my account and reported the original profile to th for being a violation of my tos, and i added C and D to my blacklist.

WIBTA if i wrote a psa about C and D to warn other people about them? i just dont want anyone else to go through this

Alright so Jace saw a “hallucination” about you and Daemon

Sweet boy did not suspect anything. It’s normal for a dad to always sit next to his best friend and see his hand disappear under the table, followed by you shifting on your chair. That’s completely normal right?

You may or may not have been caught by Jace when you guys were fucking, on the couch, where he wanted to watch How To Train Your Dragon. He was fully prepared for his movie marathon, chips and cola in his hands and he was ready to go watch some movies.

Yeah that scene changed pretty quickly.

As he entered the room he could already hear moaning and he thought that someone just left the porn channel on. Although he found the thought of that gross, he didn’t need to know what everyone watched. He would’ve preferred that to seeing this. His best-friend beneath his stepdad.

His grip on the cola and chips loosened and they fell to the ground, alarming you guys of his presence. Your head whipped to the place of the side to find Jace standing there in absolute horror. Jace left the room, not wanting to see it.

“I thought you said his trip wouldn’t end for another 2 days! So what the fuck is he doing here?!” You demanded an explanation while gathering your underwear and pants. “I could’ve sworn that it wouldn’t have ended by now!”

You knew where to find Jace, whenever he would get upset he would go to the swing in his backyard. You two have spent so much time there together, it’s unreal.

“How long?I deserve to know.” He did have a point, that was the least that you owed him. “2 years. You know the birthday nobody showed up for? Yeah since then. I would’ve told you sooner but I-I just didn’t want to lose my best-friend. Just because of who I happen to be attracted to.” You rambled, trying to explain why it happened and shit.

“Are you like only fucking him for money?” “No, I wouldn’t dare to do that. I love him Jace. Listen as weird as it may sound Rhaenyra also knows about it and approves. I mean she has Harwin and Cole.”

“Good, cause if you fucked him for money I would strangle you.” He chuckled a bit, before adding “Are you happy with him? Because I’m happy if you are.”

“He makes me very happy Jace.” You tell him while recounting all the memories of you and Daemon.

“I’ll forgive you on three conditions. One: We get a new couch, I can’t look at it without thinking about you guys having sex. Two: You do not ever have sex while I’m in the house. Three: You are going to watch How To Train Your Dragon with me. Deal?”

“Deal! You will get a new couch I promise! A very fancy one.”

i saw a post about scams like this a little while ago, so i'm wise to it but it feels HORRIBLE bc kitty. but it's usually a scam. if you get one of these, report and block. you're not a bad person for not engaging - even if it's legit, you don't have to reblog/boost/donate just because you feel bad or guilty. but also, if you're getting a dm request like the above it's very very very likely someone trying to make money by pretending to be a legit person asking for help in a way that seems genuine but isn't. i've never seen this person in my notes. idk who they are. the wording of the pinned post is designed to evoke that 'omfg i want to help!' sad response by telling you how bad things are, etc. and get you to act without thinking

but details with this one are off. i mean, the pinned post says 'next payday is on june 10th' but today is the 12th of june now and 14 hours ago in was the 11th. prior to the 'please help!' post, 9 posts were reblogged in the space of 2 minutes (not too unrealistic for tumblr), then there's the help request, followed immediately by 14 posts all with exactly the same timestamp, which... you're either reblogging desperately without looking at what you're posting from the 'for you' or 'explore' page, or that's a queue, set to dump those 15 posts at that specific time to make the blog look legit at a glance (most likely what happened). the posts after that are at more random (last post was 5 hours ago, the dm was 4 hours ago)

so yeah i feel kinda guilty, but there are people out there who rely on this to manipulate others and take advantage of our desire to help so that they can line their pockets

(also if you feel guilted into reblogging to 'signal boost' a post asking for money, it's going to be seen by followers who reblog for the same reason and maybe even give money to a total stranger who told us something bad happened and has then let our desire to help and guilt over not acting do the rest. it's okay to break the chain. we can't care about absolutely everything or help absolutely everyone, and we just burn ourselves out if we try to)

Hello! Sorry if this isn't a topic you want to speak on (so feel free to ignore this) but I have two questions regarding different arguments I've seen about the Hogwarts Legacy bullshit, as there were mixed views from both trans and Jewish people when I went on a blocking spree earlier:

1. I saw a couple of the fans that paid actual money for the game defend their choice with "but Im trans" or "but Im Jewish" or both. Thoughts on that?

2. There have been claims that pirating the game is alright as long as you don't talk about it online, whereas others posed that engaging with the game through piracy is in itself harmful - maybe not to the wider society as a whole, but to Jewish, trans, and other marginalized individuals in that persons life. What is your stance on the matter?

I have some ideas about these myself but seeing as I am neither trans nor Jewish I think it'd be best to ask first and only follow up with a dialogue if that is wanted of me. I know that outsiders can sometimes have more nuanced/better positions than insiders (like with the whole truscum and transmedicalism rot going on about in some trans circles) but. Yeah. Asking predominantly out of curiosity but also because you tend to be aggressively clear and honest about the shit going on with HP and I like that.

I'm fine with answering this, though I will add that I'm not Jewish and so I'm not qualified to speak in depth on the antisemitism present within the game other than to acknowledge that it is very blatant and wrong.

From the perspective of a trans person, I think that even trans people can hold harmful and transphobic stances when it comes to this game bc they're letting their nostalgia blind them. Being a minority does not inherently free you from being wrong and bigoted, even against a group you yourself are part of. Sidenote - considering how this game actually has a trans person in it and to my admittedly limited knowledge it doesn't engage in transphobic rhetoric or tropes like it does with the antisemitism, I'd find it VERY sketch if a trans gentile claimed they could play the game bc they were trans. Like, hello! The antisemitism isn't negated by your transness!!

Onto your second question: I've thought about this myself and I think I've finally decided on my stance, though it's quite rambly. Imho if someone is absolutely 100% going to play the game, I'd prefer that they pirate it, do so behind closed doors, and not speak of it bc there's no such thing as bad publicity. But like... they're knowingly engaging with a game that is steeped in antisemitism and monetarily benefits a transphobe. The simple decision to play that game, even if it doesn't impact their worldview in any way, even if they aren't lining joann's pockets, even if they give it no publicity... they're still making a decision to put their own pleasure and enjoyment over the pleas of Jewish and trans people. That's selfish in my book. Like, if someone hasn't dropped HP I doubt anything I can say will change that, but I just find it sad and exhausting that people will call themselves allies and then refuse to do anything that could possibly challenge or inconvenience them. They post infographs about the rise of antisemitic hatecrimes and reblog "fuck terfs!", but will they actually show up to rallies? Call their legislators to complain about bigoted legislature? Educate themselves? Make room for Jewish and trans voices and be silent when necessary? Consistantly reflect on their own biases and bigoted behaviors and grow as a person? Something tells me that if they can't even refrain from playing a blatantly antisemitic wizard game just bc it reminds them of a book written by a terf they read when they were 12, that that's not very likely.

sorry it took me a while to get to answering this! unfortunately i have been very busy and not very happy :(

2. the Spectrum Originals show panhandle. it is SO GOOD you guys no one has watched it and i need EVERYONE to watch it. it's a murder mystery slash kind of comedy (i believe we call this dramedy) about this guy who since the death of his wife 5 years ago has become super eccentric and mentally ill and addicted to drugs and confined himself to his big estate in a small town in the florida panhandle. and he lives off of family money and has been trying to solve her murder without leaving his house

and then a dead body turns up on his property and the cop who comes to investigate (who is actually a traffic cop, but the only cop left in the town bc the budget has been slashed) (also she's only a cop bc it gives her access to records and shes trying to find answers about her mysterious past) ends up solving not only that murder with his help but then getting roped into helping him solve his wife's murder.

and get this they have a slow burn romance along the way. anyway it is so underrated and so funny and has an incredible entertaining cast of characters (which is also incredibly diverse!! including native american characters which who knew Spectrum Originals was bringing great representation lmao)

it tickles me so much that it's a spectrum original and im pretty sure you can make an account for free and actually watch in on there although i myself watched it on soap2day. all you need is an internet connection and a dream GO WATCH IT

it's only one season so far also! 8 eps!! and SO easy to get through its so intriguing and fun and the atmosphere is amazing. please watch it i NEED people to talk to about it

3. romantic comedies. in particular the mindy project which im watching right now and enjoying SO much. very funny but the real strong point is the sloooow burn will they/wont they between mindy and danny

4. puzzles. i've been on SUCH a crossword kick recently i think it's actually an addiction there was a stretch a couple weeks ago where i think i did like 5 or 6 or more in a day. during work. and ive also gotten into the vertex game on the new york times site. i also finished a jigsaw puzzle recently and im going to start another one soon i think!

okay, so, a concept:

back in the 30s and 40s, when Steve and Bucky would go out to bars, Steve would always try to match Bucky drink for drink

but, Steve was also 95lbs with no money to keep his stomach full, so of course he can’t do that without getting hammered

so, when’s not looking, Bucky takes heavy sips from Steve’s drinks to keep him from blacking out w/o embarrassing him by pointing out he can’t drink as much

flash forward a hundred years, give or take, to Bucky at cookouts and block parties and poker nights w Sam

now, Sam can obviously hold his liquor a bit better than preserum!steve, but, still, the man loves to drink and these parties are his only time he can let loose and drop the Cap persona

One of the oldest scams in the book, and you've actually got people falling for this? My god, man.

1.) 5 day old account

2.) Following random blogs out of nowhere to beg for help

3.) Pinned post introduces the cat as "Sleepy" in quotes. Everyone knows animal lovers don't talk about their pets that way. You say their name with your chest or you don't say it at all. No one "quotes" their beloved pet's name.

4.) You mention having several pictures of this cat but never attach any to the post? Couldn't even be bothered to rip them off google and just hoped people would take you at your word? Amateur.

5.) Your story is just all over the place. You say your cat's condition was noticed "just before Christmas", then go on to describe mastitis (which would be very unusual for a cat to get when not nursing unless it was caused by an infection, an injury, or extremely poor hygiene). You say that because of this, she has an infection in her lungs, and that with antibiotics, she only has days left to live.

Then you go on to say that you don't actually know what her condition is, which contradicts the whole thing about her being on antibiotics because how would you even have her on that if you couldn't afford to bring her to a vet that could diagnose her in the first place to give her those antibiotics? You don't just find those lying around anywhere. The proper order is take cat to vet -> get diagnosis -> get antibiotics, not cat is sick -> listen to friend -> buy medicine at petsmart -> ??? -> get antibiotics for mystery condition from fucking nowhere I guess.

6.) You Also say that you "don't want her to develop sepsis or gangrene" after saying that your cat has an infection in her lungs, but if it's spread that far to her body? She's already dead.

Your cat is not laying at home like this 5 days after making a post about her condition. Your fictional cat is dead.

Also you mention not wanting her to die over something that needs antibiotics, which is a double contradiction. She's on antibiotics, you couldn't afford to see a vet where you would get both antibiotics and a diagnosis, she needs antibiotics, make up your mind.

7.) We're in the final stretch of breaking down your obvious scam, don't worry folks. You said... Okay your English really devolved here so copy/paste it is. "I have a PayPal. The estimate reflects the only vet in our tricity area that will take donations over the phone but they require the money upfront."

You never actually gave a monetary estimate Anywhere in your post, so good job failing that. Donating money through PayPal would just leave you with money in your PayPal account, which you could then transfer to a bank account, so the idea of taking individual donations received through PayPal and just, what? Reading their usernames out loud to the vet? That makes no sense at all.

Lilith square ascendant women had to deal with people being jealous of them or being slut shamed due their their sexual aura.

I could see that being the case, I steer away from astrology that involves gender though. But I think socially, that could manifest as that for women or people who were socialized as a woman when before coming out.

There are a few things that come to mind... I'm usually thinking about the enemy houses when thinking of this which are

6th house - the traditional house of enemies

7th house - open enemies

12th house - hidden enemies

These three houses in particular + malefics (Mars, Saturn, Uranus, and Pluto) may point to a greater chance at someone getting jealous of someone.

Taurus/Libra Risings or Mars/Pluto in the 7th (maybe even Saturn/Uranus in the 7th or Cancer/Leo Risings on a lesser extent). Maybe even Venus in the 1st in general.

7th house ruler in the 6th or 12th house

Lilith in the 7th

12th house placements, especially if it's the 6th, 7th, 10th, and/or 11th house chart ruler. I mention the 10th and 11th because of public image and social groups may attract people towards you that may hide their intentions

I was going to make a degree theory post about my thoughts of 26° being an indie darling degree (there's a chunk of artists with this) but... 7°, 15-16°, 18°, and 24° are looking more like indie darling degrees. I might make posts on unknown degrees at some point it's just... Fully collecting my thoughts 😅

Why these degrees?

7° is a Libra degree, people are drawn to it and it's Venusian. It has a sociable quality to it.

My guess since 15-16° (Gemini and Cancer, in the middle of a sign's lifespan) and 18° (Scorpio, known as a rough degree all around) are difficult degrees to have you get a certain sad energy that's perfect for the alternative genre.

24° is a Pisces degree and Pisces has an artistic, ethereal quality to it. The sign follows Aquarius which builds onto a novel vision even further.

I usually see 26° in artists that are polarizing figures in some way? Either they're industry plants or they're actually controversial figures in some way.

May attract business opportunities or seem like a trustworthy person to sign a contract/make deals with.

May seem a bit mysterious.

May need to take time to understand how their self esteem impacts them as a person (usually other people are involved here, you may need to cut out toxic people at a point in your life if they're draining/using you).

Adding onto this they may not see how they're effected by self worth, money, or 100% know their aesthetics and morals but are aware of their existence. With this Venus trine the ASC they may have an easier time accessing these things than your typical 8th house Venus.

May seem well off.

If Lilith is in the 4th house these feelings may stem from an unsupportive family. However, if Lilith is in the 10th house this may stem to attracting negative attention in your public life. Whichever one it is, you're able to grow away from these people's perceptions of you. Fuck the haters, you keep doing you and focus on self love. Whoever tries to take that away is insecure and wants power. Please do the mental health work to make sure you are away from these situations or can flip them off.

From this May 5, 2022 Disability Scoop article:

Currently, individuals receiving SSI can have no more than $2,000 in assets. Married couples are limited to $3,000. Those figures have not changed since 1984.

The bill known as the Savings Penalty Elimination Act would increase those caps to $10,000 for individuals and $20,000 for married couples. Moreover, the legislation would tie the asset limits to inflation going forward to ensure they keep pace with economic reality.

This does NOT get rid of the Marriage Penalty. (Which means if you’re on SSI and your spouse is on SSI, you each only recieve 3/4 of the benefits a single disabled person on SSI would receive.)

The asset limit increase specifically applies to couples where both parties are disabled and on SSI.

That said, it’s still a really important step. Right now, the way things work, if you have more than $2000 at any time, you can lose your benefits.  But changing that is the ONLY thing this bill does. I’ve read it.

(Since current MAXIMUM a person can be paid on SSI per month is $841, it’s more like “You can save up to $1150″ - because you need to have “room” in your account for next month’s payment, so you never ever go over $2000 - even if most of that is immediately going back out the door for rent and bills.)

I just don’t want anyone reblogging this to think this will fix the marriage inequality thing, because IT DOESN’T.

Also an update as of 6/28/22: The bill is still in the Senate Finance Committee, but it now has many more cosponsors than before from both sides of the aisle. You can check up on it on the official Senate website here.

story time:

so today I woke up after hearing loud electrical buzzing outside. It was freaky and sounded like something getting electrocuted. Suddenly BOOM the power went out. I sat up. The power returned then flickered again before shutting off. Again it happened, then finally stayed off for a few hours. It made me finally realize how horrible it must have been when my family was without power for two weeks during the Texas shutdown back in February 2021. I wasn’t here when it happened but lmao I like thinking that because I am back and here to stay it won’t happen again. (LIKE, I’M GONE FOR SIX MONTHS AND EVERYTHING FALLS APART, GOES TO HELL, AND DIES. Typical. There were so many dead trees and things and everything was in ruins when I had returned and other bad things. Jeez, fml. but... I guess maybe that means I am actually important? idk I just try to find stupid little things to give me reason to continue living instead of the “end it” dark thoughts solution that creeps up on me.) Anyways back on topic. I was irritated at being in the dark but I remembered  my Garfield lamp and used it!

I currently obsess over Garfield, Spamton, and Inside Job. Secondary obsessions, Peeps chicks, Pokemon cards. It’s hard remaining interested in things so I force myself to obsess over things to “stay” and pretend there’s meaning. I was originally going to film something and shower today but it was dark and becoming cold in the house and I changed my mind. (58F and dropping. Currently it’s 45F down here.) Then the power finally returned, but then every single hour it would shut off again. I suppose it was due to the wind outside being cold and heavy. This tropical region can’t handle the cold. Anyways, I think the power is finally stable. dunno, just wanted to log down a diary entry. hi

oh man people keep thinking Jevil sold out faster than Spamton because he’s popular, (which yessss he’s awesome) but REALLY Fangamer stated themselves that it takes a couple months to make a bunch of plushes and most likely after the Spamton plush was released, there was a HUGE demand for Jevil plushes to which they went to work on that. (As in the Spamton plush was announced on 4/20, then it was released many months later in September! whereas the Jevil  plush only had a few months to be worked on (September to November) and they weren’t sure how good the sales would be and decided to test before creating a whole load of them like the Spamton plush, to which it was successful and now they will make a whole load of them. Hi! I’m Avi (or Ink)! I’m in need of some extra money because (as an update from my LAST commission post from last week- oops-) my dad tested positive for covid! Which means that I was exposed to it last week. I’m a type one diabetic and I also am working right now and, considering I hung out with my dad last week, I’m not going to be able to work for at least the next week whether I have it or not.  With that in mind, I can’t pay rent for my apartment with only the funds I have right now (about $71)!
