"Gorgeous, isn't he?" Your voice causes Oliver to flinch as he whips his head to where the sound of your voice came from. "W-what-" He stammers. You giggle at his behaviour, taking a long drag from the cigarette before dropping it to the ground and stepping on it.

"I see the way you stare at him, Ollie. I don't blame you though, he's a sight for sore eyes," You sigh, leaning your head against the wall, watching Felix with his friends.

Oliver didn't know what to say. He only stared at you before gravitating his gaze back to Felix. Oliver knew you as one of the smartest girls at school, your grades rivalling with his.

"You can admit it. He's gorgeous." You open your mouth again, turning your head at Oliver with a grin. He gulps. "I-uhm-" He began before you interrupt him, "Come on, Ollie" Your tone was playful.

"He's gorgeous." Oliver quickly replied as you smile. You push yourself off the wall, patting Ollie's shoulder before leaving him standing there dumbfounded.

"Fuck!" You curse as you feel the hot liquid cascade down your front. You let out a loud groan, throwing your coffee cup in a nearby bin. "I'm so sorry-" "It's fine! Completely fine," You mutter to the idiot who bumped into you because his eyes was trained on a book.

You let out a deep sigh, checking your watch. You would be late if you turned back around to change. "Hey! Y/n!" You hear a voice call out from behind you. Turning your head you spot Oliver coming your way on his bike.

“Hey?” you greet him with a hint of confusion. Without a word, he unzips his backpack, pulling out a plaid shirt. “Wear this to cover the spill,” he suggests, a warm smile accompanying the gesture. You conceal any distaste with a subtle expression, graciously accepting the offered shirt.

“Uhm-” “Just return it later when you can,” he cuts you off, not giving you time to answer before riding off. You stand there, looking down at the plaid shirt, before letting out a sigh and slipping it on.

“Cute shirt, babe,” your boyfriend chuckles, and you respond with an eye roll, sitting down with a loud huff escaping your lips. “Don’t even. Some idiot bumped into me on the way here,” you mutter, opening your notebook aggressively.

Farleigh strolls in, joining the two of you, “Woah, loving the shirt, y/n. Where’d you get it from? The charity shop?” He jokes, prompting you to scowl at him. He raises his hands in surrender as Felix’s chuckles resonate beside you.

“Jesus, what’s got your panties tied up in a knot?” he laughs, taking a seat beside you while you choose to ignore him. Suddenly, Felix exclaims, “Oh, shit! Farleigh, we gotta go. Professor Davies wants to see us,” checking his watch before swiftly getting up.

Farleigh vents his frustration with a groan, “Sorry, babe. See you later?” Felix plants a kiss on your cheek, and you nod in response, waving the two boys off before redirecting your focus to the notebook in front of you.

“Hey,” you raise your head to find Oliver approaching. Flashing a warm smile, you greet him with a friendly, “Hi Oliver,” your attention briefly returning to your book as he stands there, exuding a hint of awkwardness.

“I’ll make sure to return your shirt once it’s washed,” you reassure him, receiving a silent nod in acknowledgment. Returning to your book, you shift your attention back to him, “Is there anything else you need?” He nervously scratches his neck. “Do you mind if I study with you?” His question catches you slightly off-guard.

“Absolutely, feel free,” you graciously respond, rearranging your belongings to create space for him to settle. A warm smile graces his face as he takes the offered seat, expressing gratitude with a simple “Thanks.” You reciprocate with a light chuckle, assuring him, “No problem at all.”

“He is such a nerd,” Farleigh snorts as you roll your eyes, your fingers moving to play with Felix’s necklace around his neck. Noticing your quietness, Felix looks at you on his lap. “You okay?” He says quietly as you hum, taking a sip out of his glass, before pressing your cheek against his, your eyes wandering around the table.

“I should probably go now, I don’t wanna study too late,” You let out a quiet sigh as you get up from your boyfriend’s lap. Felix lends a helping hand to adjust your skirt, smoothly guiding the denim down while playfully patting your ass, accompanied by a mischievous grin.

“Where are you going? It’s still so early!” Annabel shoots you a disapproving frown from across the table. “I really need to study for that test tomorrow,” you respond, the playful boos from others resonating as you playfully roll your eyes.

“Listen, I’ll buy the next round yeah?” Your offer is met with enthusiastic hoots as you chuckle. Rounds tend to be costly, especially with our group, but being part of a wealthy family, the expense doesn’t faze you.

Felix joins you in fetching the drinks before you wave at your group and make your exit. Outside, the cool night air embraces you as you walk down the stairs, and a twinge of regret sets in over your choice of attire.

Lost in thought, you accidentally collide with someone. Looking up, you find yourself face to face with Oliver, whose initial surprise transforms into recognition. “Oh, Oliver, hey,” you manage a smile, and he reciprocates it warmly.

“Hey. You headin’ back?” He gestures behind him with his thumb, and you nod, “Yeah, studying for that test we have tomorrow morning.” A chuckle escapes you as he nods, an awkward silence settling between the two of you.

“Is it, uh, busy in there?” Oliver speaks up. “Hm? Oh. Uhm, no, not really,” you shake your head. Another moment of silence follows. “Listen, Ollie, I should really get going,” you purse your lips as he moves aside. “Yeah, of course,” he offers you a warm smile, and you nod your head, walking away.

Over the course of the next couple days. Felix and Oliver had become very good friends. You would hear Felix’s recounts of his day when the two of you were entangled in each others arms and it always included Oliver.

The party rolled around and you found yourself dancing with Felix, your ass on his crotch as the two of you seamlessly moved to Sexyback.

With one hand cradling a red plastic cup filled with alcohol, and the other clasping a partially smoked cigarette, Felix guided your hips skillfully, his touch resting casually on your hipbone.

“You look so fuckin’ hot,” Felix exclaimed loudly over the music as you smirk to yourself, already abit tipsy. “Do you wanna go somewhere?” You reply back to him, turning around as he eagerly nods.

You giggle to yourself, knowing what the rest of the night would consist of. Fucking Felix. You stumbled as Felix pulled you along the house. “Fuck, these heels,” You moan in annoyance.

Eager to reach his dorm quicjly, Felix scooped you up in a bridal carry, one arm under your knees and the other supporting your back. A light squeal escaped you, drawing the attention of those around, their curious stares following the two of you.

The second he shut the door behind him, your clothes littered his room as he ravenously attacked your lips, his hands roaming around your body as you let out quiet moans, enjoying the way they groped every inch of your body.

Meanwhile, Oliver was roaming around the party, completely and utterly bored. He first wandered around looking for someone he knew, but that was only three people. You, Felix, and Michael. Michael wouldn’t even be there, so just you or Felix.

Acknowledging the fact that neither you or Felix were here, Oliver’s gaze fell on Farleigh at the other end of the room. With a joint in hand, reclining on the couch, Oliver decided to test his luck and headed in Farleigh’s direction.

“Do you know where Felix is?” Farleigh looks Oliver up and down before raising an eyebrow at him. “Why do you wanna know?” His tone was flat, bored from talking with Oliver already.

“Just wonderin’,” Oliver shrugged awkwardly. Farleigh, taking a long drag, nonchalantly answered, “He went back to his dorm, I think,” his tone uninterested as he flicked ash from his joint.

“Thanks,” Oliver nods his head before turning around. The walk to Felix’s dorm was all too familiar for him, often spending time there whenever he and Felix hung out.

He knocks on the door. No response. He knocked again. Still no response. Oliver then tried the door handle, twisting it only to find it unlocked. Opening the door with a loud creak as his eyes look around the dimly lit interior of Felix’s room.

“Felix-“ Oliver cuts himself off as he realises what he just walked in on. A feminine gasp reached his ears as he instinctively tried to avert his gaze. “For fuck’s sake, mate!” Felix’s irritated voice resonated, accompanied by the rustling of sheets in the room.

Felix quickly moves to cover the both of you as you screw your eyes shut. “Can’t you fuckin’ knock Ollie?” Felix exasperates as he slips on his boxers, his frame still covering you from Ollie’s eyes.

"Sorry, the door was unlocked, so I thought-" Oliver began, but Felix cut him off, "Yeah, well, you thought wrong," accompanied by an annoyed chuckle. You reached for Felix's shirt, slipping it on as you sat on the bed.

Oliver couldn't help but feel a twinge of curiosity at who Felix was fucking; there was no denying it. It couldn’t have been Annabel or India—two girls he's often heard talking about Felix as if they were together—both of them were at the party when he left. So who was it? “Seriously mate. If I don’t answer, I’m either not here or don’t want to answer,” Felix runs his hands through his hair.

He was very bothered that he was interrupted. Felix hated being interrupted in the middle of things. Especially sex with you. “Felix, it’s okay,” You rest your hand on his shoulder as he looks back at you.

Oliver's jaw hung open, frozen in a momentary state of shock, as your head playfully emerged beside Felix. His eyes widened as he tried to process the unexpected sight before him. A cascade of questions flooded his mind, evident in the incredulous expression on his face. "Hi, Ollie," you greeted with a light chuckle, amusement dancing in your eyes as you observed his stunned reaction.

The air seemed charged with a mixture of surprise and curiosity as Oliver stammered through his words, attempting to articulate the myriad of questions racing through his mind. "I- What- Are you two-" he fumbled, his sentences colliding in his attempt to understand the situation unfolding before him.

Felix, ever nonchalant, cut through the awkward tension with a matter-of-fact tone. "She's my girlfriend," he stated, his words hanging in the air. As if to emphasize the point, you casually moved to sit on Felix's lap.

A moment of stunned silence enveloped Oliver. Felix had a girlfriend, and it was you. The revelation hit him with unexpected force, leaving him momentarily breathless. Questions swirled in his mind, and he couldn't comprehend why no one had ever mentioned it before.

"Why do you look so shocked, Ollie?" Felix chuckled, a lighthearted tone in his voice, while you added to the teasing atmosphere with a playful giggle. You could practically sense Oliver's head spinning with the unasked questions, creating an intriguing air of mystery around the situation.

Oliver's eyebrows furrowed slightly, his expression a mix of confusion and surprise as he processed the unexpected pairing. He released a nonchalant shrug, attempting to mask the internal whirlwind of thoughts.

"No one’s ever said anything about it, I just assumed you both were single," he admitted, his eyes fixed on you and Felix. Oliver's head continued to shake in a subtle attempt to grasp the reality of you being in a relationship with Felix.

A faint smile played on your lips as you tilted your head at him, a touch of amusement in your gaze. "You never asked," you pointed out casually, your words hanging in the air. Oliver's lips formed a perfect 'O' as he absorbed the implication, silently nodding in acknowledgment.

The room was then engulfed in an awkward silence, the weight of unspoken words lingering in the atmosphere. Sensing the discomfort, Oliver took the initiative to break the tension. "Uhm, I should get going," he announced, his hand absently scratching the back of his head. Felix, understanding the unspoken cue, nodded in agreement. "Yeah, go ahead."

Oliver's lips pursed, his gaze flickering between you and Felix, caught in a moment of realization. With a slightly awkward smile, you innocently waved at him. "Bye, Ollie!" you chimed in a light-hearted manner, attempting to alleviate the awkwardness as he leaves the dorm.

Felix couldn't hide his amusement. "You really didn't tell him?" he asked, breaking the silence with a playful smile as he looked down at you. In response, you innocently shrugged. "I didn't think it was that necessary to bring it up, besides, he really never asked."

22nd February 2023:(Day-1)

okay it’s only day-1 and I’ve already seen great results. 

- usually,when I wake up,I instantly go and check for more void success storie for motivation which is a bad habit ik but today,right after waking up,I ranted about how it’s super easy to get into the void state which is so aNnOyInG. right after that,I didn’t feel the urge to do that anymore. i knew that I get into the void effortlessly becuz I said so.

- in the afternoon,I put the sleep paralysis vid recommended by @gorgeouslypink. i never tried to induce sleep paralysis before so it’s time I do it. (nah I just was in the mood to do it today so I did lmao). i closed my eyes and affirmed for the void and I felt like I was being sucked out of my body and after a few minutes,I fell back into my body. but I was close.

but the thing is…

that is not how you induce sleep paralysis. 😭 

you should set a timer for 5 hours first but I obviously didn’t recheck the sleep paralysis post and I just stayed still for like 10 minutes.

but it kinda worked ‘cause I assumed it did so-

- my void concept has gotten a lot better. now I do find void to be a part of my life. it’s easy and effortless for me to enter because I am the void. i don’t find void to be an impossible task to do. (I didn’t rlly find it impossible before but I did assume multiple times that it was hard to get into the void which was a huge mistake of mind because it’s super easy to enter.)

- my self concept has gotten better too. I have been manifesting things more effortlessly and i admire myself whenever I look in the mirror. (self-love 😌❤️) I also ranted about how I was addicted to studying and how it was SO annoying that I always get full marks. the board exams (finals) are starting in 4 days so I’ll tell you how it does. about the studying part,I studied ALOT today. I don’t even study like this usually. but today,I studied a lottt without my parents lecturing me to do so. my parents complimented me on this wheeee.

alright so today will be counted as day-2 because yesterday,I took a break. BUT GUESS WHAT?

today,I did an alpha state meditation and after affirming that I’m in the void for a few minutes,I GOT IN!  I affirmed for this specific flavour of pringles and this specific flavour of dairy milk lmao.  idk I just felt like it (food is life) and then,I got out of the void AND I GOT IT!

I have to make a void list to manifest the next time I enter the void.

but i was wondering if you could describe how you think nico’s singing voice/overall tone he uses in a lot of his songs is.

like i know some of the source songs are upbeat pop but i’m gathering that most of them are softer?

if there was for instance any singers that you think would be similar to how he sounds/sings i’d love to know! (eg i think will can sing moderately well he just doesn’t think he can because he doesn’t have the same regular pop style as his siblings as when he sings it sounds like a mix of florence and the crane wives in the style they use.)

i think very much kid krow conan/some superache songs are the way that he sings… i also feel like he sometimes over-produces(?) idk if that’s a term but like changes his voice slightly in production (less and less as the years go on bc he’s more comfortable with his natural voice) but his live performances are incredible. i also don’t think he necessarily knows his range, like he’s never tested it out, so one day he’s gonna sing super high notes just bc he never tried before (snow angel) and it’ll be incredible

the only other male artists i know/listen to are hozier and noah kahan and their voices are very different than what i imagine nico’s to be😭 i don’t necessarily think it’s raspy (or at least, not when he records it like in the studio) but really smooth, sometimes with voice cracks if its like an intentionally very emotional song

i think he also intentionally sings a lot in his lower register (think, like, the way taylor sings maroon vs how she’d sing karma) and he’s incredibleee at it.

honestly the way i’d like to describe it the most is simply angelic. i’m sure there’s an artist out there somewhere that sings the way i imagine nico to, but for now im just gonna go with conan!! im in awe of his vocal capabilities tbh, esp in the recent album (even tho i don’t think found heaven necessarily matches with nico’s voice/what i imagine that to be)

AND YOU ARE SOO RIGHT ABT WILL he def can sing, but he always like purposefully messes up the singing if yk what i mean? like if he was actually trying, he’d be incredible, but he purposefully puts on like a strained tone or messes up notes just bc he doesn’t want his actual singing voice to be judged (plus he grew up around naomi and apollo and a bunch of other singers, and he just isn’t *that* good, but he’s definitely not bad in any way)

A/N. ! this is based on jungwon’s pottery en-log did the moodboard give it away?? skdjdjd and it was rlly fun writing this won k lame joke i’m sorry i hope you enjoy! <3

while filming his pottery en-log, jungwon couldn’t stop thinking of you. all that was on his mind was how badly he wished you could experience the time with him. however, the company was strict in not having you tag along that day for jungwon to focus on work, which was understandable.

but this day was different. now, he finally got an actual day off that didn’t require bringing any vlog cameras or staff along. it was just you and him with the entire day ahead of yourselves.

and of course, jungwon had to bring you to the pottery place after having such a good time there himself before, and he knew you’d love it too, whether you liked pottery or not.

and he wasn’t wrong because when you got there, you had such an incredible experience. it was calming and also nice to spend time with your boyfriend.

when it got to the point when you were shaping your clay though, at first, it was obvious that you had no clue what you were doing. you were going to get an employee to help you, however, jungwon stopped you, wanting to help his beloved girlfriend himself.

but before he did, he took out his phone and quickly snapped a picture of you.

he giggled, causing you to look up at him, “what’s so funny?”

he turned his phone around to face you, showing the photo he took. in it, you had your tongue stuck out slightly in concentration, eyes focused. and the funny part was how lopsided your work actually was from jungwon’s angle. you gasped, working on fixing it immediately.

jungwon let out a chuckle before sticking his phone back in his pocket and bringing his stool behind yours, sitting down. he wrapped his arms around you from the back and placed his hands on top of yours, helping and guiding you.

feeling this warming form of embrace, you couldn’t help but smile.

you turned your head slightly, “oh, you’re good at this.”

at the compliment, he smiled, pressing a soft kiss to the side of your head. however, this movement caused your entire project to be shaped in the wrong way.

luckily it wasn’t too bad though and it was easily fixed, but after you initially let out a gasp at the sight, you two were able to laugh it off.

“maybe i’m not as good at this as we both thought,” jungwon said lightheartedly.

“well, you definitely do better without distractions,” you smirked.

“as long as you’re okay with it, i’m okay with it. plus, it’s a work of art anyways,” he paused. “just like you.”

you smiled softly before it quickly fell.

“hey, are you calling me imperfect?” you asked, eyebrows furrowed.

“well, believe it or not, baby, but your imperfections are a part of what make you perfect,” he told you. “a reason i adore you so much is because of those imperfections. so yes, i guess i am saying you’re imperfect, but that honestly just makes me love you all the more.”

Also, you don't really have to do any techniques. But you can try SATS, affirming, Scripting or visualising but do not get too consumed by it that you start forgetting your own power!! tip 1- the posting format isnt that hard to get used to actually its just you create a tumblr text post and then copy and paste your fic onto it, add the tags and stuff then post it. if you want to add banners, headers and stuff to make it look better then go ahead, just add images to the text post

tip 2- the info area is the same as above, just add pictures of your choice etc to the text post, add your information, name, age, fav things etc and then to link posts to your post, highlight where u want the link to go, then copy the link of the post u want linked then press the hyperlink that looks like two chains linked together when you highlight the text if that makes sense? sounds like a lot but its rlly not i promise haha

tip 3- always type your fics on other apps like word or google docs since they have an auto save feature!! i dont reccomend typing your fics on tumblr since one if the app crashes, it doesn't automatically save your work so everything you wrote will get deleted (some versions of tumblr do have autosave, my laptop has it but my phone and iPad doesn't, so i dont rely on it)

tip 4- idk if you want tips on actual fic writing or just how to get your fics onto tumblr but ill help you with that anyway. with me when i write fics i always imagine it out in my head. theres some of my fics where i just went with the flow and wrote wgatever came to mind and those are the fics i hate the most because they dont rlly make sense to me. theyre always so random and it just seems rushed and bad.

i picture my fics like a scene in my head and whatever i want the character to do, think, say or feel i write that shit down asap. i use other online sources to help get more descriptive like the emotion theasurus <- honestly one of my favourite things to use ever, they have so much body language to use for every emotion in the damn book

dialogue is also something i find difficult. i've improved i personally feel like but its still hard for me especially if im writing a new character. i never want to make the character seem OOC so i do lots of research before hand. i normally use the wiki to read up on a characters personality.

for example i'll use ran for this since he's like 99% of my account lmao. in the wiki, he's described as "naturally whimsical toward others which makes him inscrutable" though ran doesnt have many scenes in the manga (which i hate bc i love him sm) its impossible to actually write him down to a tee so i use that naturally whimsical description to make him playful, charismatic, carefree etc, going off what little information i have with him.

getting a characters personality down is what can make or break a dialogue. for me when im reading a fic of a character and their dialogue is so OOC it puts me off and i dont even wanna read. so i apply my same fic icks to myself and think if I don't like seeing this and that in a fic, why would I incorporate those in my fics and have ppl get put off it if they have the same fic icks as me?

tip 5- dont rush yourself at all. i used to rush a few of my fics and i just ended up hating it so much after and fought bck the urge to delete them so many times but then i'd see people's comments and realise i was being too harsh on myself. i'd keep them up but i'd just hate seeing them get attention.

rushing only makes you hate your work and the quality of your work will decline if you are not in the right headspace.

thats also why i have the don't rush me thing in my rules because not only is it annoying to see people constantly asking for updates, it also makes me mad because i know i'll just put out a piece of garbage if i did rush.

also another tip don't give yourself deadlines!! if you know your writing consistency can be a little sloppy, don't tell your followers that you're going to upload every so and so day. if something happens and you miss the deadline, you'll feel bad and rush something out and most times out of ten, a rushed fic doesn't do well. so take your time and don't rush.

tip 6- dont listen to what other people say or feel obligated to write something you don't wanna. establish your boundaries!! for example, from day one i started this blog i said im accepting requests but i will not write anything to do with non-con, incest or minors. i made sure that was out there so i wouldn't feel uncomforable writing anything i wasn't comfy with.

there are people on this app that may like your writing and request you to write something for them. you are not obligated to write anything for anyone! don't feel like you have to just because they asked nicely.

if you want to accept requests you can im not saying you shouldn't, im saying don't feel like you have to. you always have a choice. its your blog.

tip 7- remember this isn't a job. you're allowed to take breaks, allowed to have a personal life. don't feel like you need to be updating every day. i used to think i was obligated to be uploading consistently at least every week because i was obsesssed with engagement and seeing peoples comments and was scared if i took a break ppl will unfollow. now i honestly don't care. i'm not active as much as i used to because of school and that's fine! if ppl want to leave, let them. don't feel like you're forced to keep being active in order to keep your follower count stable.

tip 8- this app can get really toxic sometimes. luckily enough i've only had one toxic anon in my inbox and i've been on this app for a year. some people have so many, some ppl get harrassed etc. if that happens to you just be prepared since there's no actual way to find out who's behind anons. you can turn off your anon options which means if ppl want to inbox you something then their account will be showing. some people arent comfortable with that and that's fine! i keep mine on because i want people to feel comfortable on my page.

just remember though if you ever feel like this app is getting overwhelming take breaks! for the sake of your mental health take breaks. i know so many writers on here that took breaks and came back healthier and stronger.

i feel like this tip goes for social media in general. as much as i love social media im aware how unhealthy it is. breaks are so important for you. remember that.

i can't think of anymore tips right now but if i have some more i will edit the post and add it on.

Ollie Queen - LMAO idk why but I feel so cliche putting him, but he’s my favorite Arrow and he always has been. I relate to him a lot. Khalid Nassour - it’s hell being his fan, but i’ll do it anyways 😭 so Khalid is rlly interesting bc i read his “cool” appearances first then read Dr Fate 2015 where he was more of an annoying 22 yr old. And it was so satisfying watching him grow from someone who was more narrow-minded and whitewashed to an intelligent, capable, and enlightened person. I really enjoy his character’s spin on what fate means in regards to one’s identity, heritage, lifestyle, and faith.

Day of Vengeance - this is the one currently living rent free in my head rn bc it’s so FUNNY and random, but also a really interesting storyline in regards to magic in the DCU. It’s just so enjoyable watching this group of mystics handle the hugest threat ever and barely get along, and they’re all weird, and then Lori joins and she’s like the group teenager and it’s so funny

We Are Robin - I honestly wish it was longer ngl but I really wanted to see more of the group together and their stories, especially Izzy and Dre. The premise and duration of this story is SO dear to me bc ofc Duke, but also I love watching kids band together against authorities bc they love their city sm.

Batman: Son of the Demon - as a Talia and sometimes Brutalia fan, how can I not 😭 It’s so sad and actually heartwrenching how happiness was so close to them but taken away, and how much Bruce and Talia sacrificed for each other because they are both loving people, they just love in the wrong way

heyy what are your thoughts on the romance genre? do you like all of it, some of it? do you hate it?

personally i feel like i havent read enough romance books to draw a clear conclusion on my taste in romance, but i really loved "if you could see the sun" and "a pho love story"

on the other hand, i tried to read "book lovers" bc it was trending, but i dnfed after 4 chapters because i disliked it. i also found out there was smut, which is.... personally not something i enjoy. at all.

i also tried to read "the hating game" because my friend kept recommending it but i HATED IT SO MUCH and dnfed it aswell 😭 .

idk if this is weird, and i could be wrong, but i think i like romances where the main character/s are asian... 😭 idk maybe its cus im asian, so it just makes me sm more attached to the characters and i find that i root for those characters getting together more? honestly I don’t hate romance, especially since the fantasy trilogy I just finished is basically centered on it. it really depends on how the author handled everything for me to be honest. like for school book club I had to read “The Do-Over” by Lynn Painter recently and I didn’t like it. the book wasn’t the worst, but it was really predictable with the fact the brooding guy had a tragic backstory and the the girl’s looks weren’t really that noticeable. it really reminded me of a wattpad author who wrote a short story purely to make fun of those tropes. I think a romance book I read a month or so ago is one I might actually re-read, “I Loved You in Another Life” by David Arnold since even though the characters might’ve had a “tragic backstory” it actually delved into how the main characters felt and how it affected their mentality, actions, and how it all affected their lives. maybe I also really liked it because of being able to relate like what you said, since one of the characters had a sister, and how she felt about her sister was something I could definitely imagine myself feeling (made it vague just in case you want to read it one day). but there’s a fantasy trilogy that I was technically supposed to read before the one I mentioned, and right now, I feel like the author just wrote something similar but with different characters (I’ll mention the titles when I post what books I’ve read in march). like the same thing typed but in a different font. and speaking of fantasy trilogies, I also really liked “A Darker Shade of Magic” series because even though it did have romances, there was so much importance placed in non-romantic ones as well. the fantasy trilogy I’m reading right now does have importance in a sibling relationship, but I still can’t love the series since it feels the exact same as the other trilogy taking place in the same world. I also agree about avoiding the smutty ones since I feel like reading fanfics that had that stuff at an age where my mind was not prepared to handle it lowkey traumatised me in a way. I’m okay if the scenes are really vague about what’s happening, but I hate it when they go in detail so I’ve tried avoiding those types of books (with the exception of Normal People by Sally Rooney but the way she wrote it was just different in a way that I could handle). I’m also gonna read a fantasy-romance book soon whose main character is Korean (and a gumiho), so maybe I’ll really like it since it’ll have mentions of the culture I grew up in (technically still growing up in right now). and if you have asian romance book recommendations please spam my inbox or messages with it :DDDD

where do you want to travel the most: i wanna go to the south of france + tokyo + venice, but i heard it’s not all that. my fav places that i’ve been to are vietnam and america which r two very different places and i adored them - vietnam more for the food and culture and surroundings, american more bc of family + tourist attractions + theme parks. so. maybe one of those wins.

ok so i just got back from seeing atsv and just oh my fucking god.

like first of all THE ENDING?! LIKE HOW OUT OF ALL THE (honestly small amount of stuff) SPOILED FOR ME HOW DID NO ONE TELL ME THERE WAS GONNA BE A TBC AT THE END?! I CANT WAIT HOWEVER MANY YEARS ITLL BE TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS NEXT LIKE-

and like half the stuff in this film felt like a maaaaassssssiiivvveeeee metaphor for coming out like the “promise u won’t love me any less” (or whatever see said i’m bad at remembering exact quotes) and the fact that during Gwen’s speech to her dad EVERYTHING TURNED FUCKING PINK BLUE AND WHITE like cmon they aren’t even being subtle abt it u guys (@ the ppl who r denying it not u) just don’t wanna see queer ppl in media they literally could not make it more on the nose w/o making it an actual queer coming out story and not a metaphor (also when Miles and Rio were talking and he was trying to tell her “a secret” aka that he was spider-man and he was going all “i- i’m- i’m-” before bailing she 1000% thought he was trying to come out to her like as queer idk what other way she couldve interpreter that like srsly)

also not to be horny in asks but i need Miguel to fucking rail me for fuck’s sake hes hot and usually it’d be more likely i’d be into a mosquito than a muscular guy (it’s normally too generic yk)

and yeah that’s all my thoughts on the movie that’s i can turn into words (final random ones that idk how to format: Gwen and Miles were like extra baby in this one esp Miles + ik he has a wife and all but Peter and Miguel r definitely doing smthn like the vibes r there u cant deny it + Gwen x Miles is one of those ships that i don’t rlly care whether they’re romantic or platonic but i prefer them platonic and unfortunately the writers don’t seem to agree with me (kinda like Jopper except Jopper kinda grew on my entirely because of Willel being siblings bring extra extra canon) + not related to the contents of the film but there were these group of rlly annoying Neds sitting behind me and my friend who wouldn’t stop talking and going on their phones and i only heard one but according to my friend 2 ppl yelled at them to shut up and i heard them stop for like 2 seconds then start being bitches again it was so fucking annoying) and yeah damn that was a kinds long final thoughts thingy but yeah will this become my entire personality? idk we’ll have to see now if u’ll excuse me i gotta remember how to be a normal human again (hope this wasn’t too long lmao) :p

Do you have any fandoms you want to write for but for any reasons you just can’t/don’t? Also any tips on writing any “murderous” scenes? - 🛎️

1. SO MANY !! kinda off topic but I have a lot of crushes on female characters from fandoms im in that I don’t write for simply because writing mlm fan fiction is my main way to overcome my internalized transphobia/homophobia butt like actual fandoms I would say

• genshin impact (not rlly into it but was)

• x-men (characterization fears)

• twisted wonderland (lots of characters + characterization fears)

• some slasher characters (I’ve only written for ones that I’m more comfortable with in personality and even then I hate a lot of my slashers fics cs I think my characterization of them is SOO bad (mainly bo sinclair) + I’m still figuring out how to write characters that are mute in any capacity and have rlly only practiced with Vincent but still that’s in a headcanon format which is easier than actual fics and overall all my slasher character writing fears sucks cause I love characters like bubba sawyer, thomas hewitt, michael myers, jason vorhees, etc and want to write for them but I’m scared to)

that’s mainly it I think ?? I still have these characters on my masterlist tho cs i can write for them and will I just need that push so my requests with those fandoms are cooking (very slowly) but can fun fact I almost discontinued scream for u out of fears my characterization of billy and stu and some other characters such as tatum, randy, etc was AWFUL (I still think it is but I’m not changing it at this point)

2. these scenes are HARD buttt I would suggest practicing recreating horror videos or movies onto a writing format to learn how to do that. before I wrote scream for you, I did this a lot just to practice for it. for instance, I rewrote the horror video “no through road” into a short horror story and it gave me a really good grasp on how to write that type of scene/story.

i would also suggest reading a lot of different horror or tragedy stories and taking and learning from what you can from that. seeing how different authors use phrases, setting, etc to set up a good horror is a great way to learn. if u want a more sad rather than violent type of scene, tragedy is a great way to learn how to make readers sympathize and feel sad at characters deaths etc (I recently re-read mice of men which I think is a perfect example of a murder-tragedy gone right and how u can make murder sad for both the victims and the perpetrator) Edgar Allen Poe is great too but I just love his work a lot so I might be biased 😭 just surrounding urself in content that is grounded in murder is a great way to familiarize urself whether it’s books, shows, movies, YouTube videos, etc !!

also don’t focus too much on making it insanely busy with murder and stuff. I hate to use this as an example but my friends when writing an horror story for class got into this mindset of “the more grotesque the better” and starting thinking of the most horrific ways for someone to die rather than taking the time to delve into what makes the story scary. focus of characters and the effect u want their death to have on the audience and on the story. imo, u can make death scenes grotesque but don’t rely on that yk? idk if that makes sense but stuff like “he plucked the woman’s eyes out one by one, the wet, slippery sockets squelching in the clenched first of his blood soaked hand. Then he peeled each layer of skin off in a torturous fashion; fueling his momentum on her screams of agony yada yada” wont make ur readers feel scared nor sad but rather uncomfortable

THERES JUST SOOO MUCH AND IM NO EXPERT !! like my murderous scenes were half baked at best 👎 research is ur best friend tho and learning what works and what doesn’t is a process so don’t be afraid to take risks and get feedback !! Hope I could help in my very scattered advice 🙏

HIII i’m going to answer both asks just bc i can hehe 🫶🏻 i have quite a few asks sitting in my inbox but it literally makes me so happy whenever i receive something especially about rockstar haech :) aaaaa i’m so so so happy that he stays in your mind and i’m really excited to get to writing him in part 3!!! haven’t rlly gotten to work on it bc things have been crazy but i’m literally also looking forward to it so much !!!

i also can’t really believe it’s ending soon :( i might make part 3 a little extra longer so you can see their dynamic and idk feel like you know them better, or i might come back and do shorter pieces. i kind of love expanding my projects and i would also be sad that their story ends here !!!

i AM hoping to write multiverse hyuck sooooo good. in it he kind of keeps the multiverse thing a secret from reader because he wants her to love him for real and all by herself and not because she thinks she has to - but also he has so much fear that this is maybe the one universe in which they don’t end up together.
