I really wish I had the words to express how fanatical and amazing Faye Valentine is.
What a wonderfully written character

i love how taylor like never turns off her reporter voice
it’s like maybe she’s incapable of turning it off, like being a reporter is in her blood
she worked tirelessly her whole life to get to this point and now she’s here

anyway, I went to lunch, the movies, then target with my crush and our coworker and her partner. Crush and I are just friends right BUT it felt entirely like a double date the whole time. I wanted to hold her hand so bad but I am SCARED bc I can’t tell if she actually likes me back or if she just really likes being my friend. I know she wouldn’t tell me if she did like me though unless I was the first one to tell her (which I won’t be). Why are feelings so HARD

sandra lynn’s dating history now includes:
the most red-flag, gaslighting, married guy who became a world renowned insidious televangelist and ruined her perception of love and self-worth
the saddest, wettest, cardboard-box-living, yogurt covered man with an ancient hereditary curse of bad luck
the arch devil of gluttony and living embodiment of insatiable desire and hunger
a former drug addict, high school student councillor, werewolf, who’s probably the most mentally healthy person to ever exist
sexy pirate

listen there really was just something about how in the book, snow’s 3-page descent from hesitant lover boy to deluded psychopath happens entirely in his mind. lucy gray gives him no indication whatsoever that she suspects him, that she’s going to leave or betray him. he’s just sitting quietly in the cabin waiting for her to return when that seed of calculated suspicion, which he has needed to survive the capitol, takes a hold of him and chokes the life out of any goodness left inside him. it really drives home your terror as a reader that “oh my god did he kill her? did she escape? what happened to her? why would he even think that?” in a way that when the movie had to adjust for visualization it lost some of that holy shit this guy has lost it emphasis.
