Idk if you've gotten to the OBC yet but I just love the original opening where Frank is giving an exceedingly cynical speech at his old high school's commencement ceremony and the kids all roll their eyes at him more or less telling them to give up on their dreams and accept that life's a bitch. The contrast between his attitude in the revision where he seems genuinely regretful about the choices he's made and here where he's rationalizing it all as just being the inevitable natural course has always been fascinating to me.

When the thrill of “how did you get to be here” wears off, I’ll give that a go!
