What was your fic you wrote?

i’m assuming this is supposed to say favorite? i really enjoy captains of the sky as a sillie fic that i get to dump all my stupid little hcs and shenanigans on, but i think my favorite fic is my cmyk work! it’s a very long title so that’s what i’ve referred to it as, but it can be found here [link]. while i only have the first chapter Officially up i have drafts for like, 5 or 6 of the other chapters and i just genuinely have so much fun writing them. as much as i like silly nonsense i LOVE character analysis and exploration, which is the point of that cmyk fic, so it’s definitely my favorite in all aspects ^_^

looking back i think the colors are a bit too similar too each other, but i wanted them to look like a banana so.. it works?

i struggled to figure out if i wanted them to have no accessories or not, but after asking my friends a bit i thought it would be nice to add karma 5 somewhere! now they have a little hood/cape thing! (and if you want you can imagine it, nightcat gave it to them :) )

ough i've already talked about this but im very very proud of this design... and they ourple.. lovely

hunter!!! not much to say, but they are orange red. the little cloth on their arm is from arti (and yes they did have a full tail at some point. they either lost it in a fierce battle or from being a cringe fail/endearingly )

silly beast.. uses the bandana for explosive spears and stuff

i did it on accident at first but gourmand looks like those latte art sort of? i think its silly, they are silly

i could not figure out what blue to use but landed on this! what a wet mouse.. they have ruffles (/scales) on their neck bc yknow..'ruffles'..

the tallest and has the longest ears (followed closely by arti), whiskers for sensing, and talon? things? on their legs (don't ask me why i just thought it looked neat). the rings on their neck reference wanderer! sort of!

okay okay wait. i want you to be autistic about the goofs. tell me about the devinatart link recolors and their gay emo cousin. like i heard abt a game meant for like three ppl with a green red and blue link but the ourple and emo are completely foreign to me. what game do they come from what's it about was it interesting gameplay-wise and story-wise and why has your brain decided to get attached to them like a leech

i think the game ur thinking of is triforce heroes for the 3ds !!!!!!! it just has green red and blue and their hair color is changed as well, the game im silly and autistuc about Four swords adventures which is basically triforve heroes' predessesor. jtss a four player game on the gamecube n gameboy advance u all play in the same room tigether. the real world reason there are deviantart recolors (excellent term use) is for each player to be distinguished.

so the four guys green red blue and vio(let) are ur playable characters n heroes while shadow link is like. well in the game shes basically an infinite tool for the big bad. an evil clone of link that disguises herself and duplicates herself to fight the four n take em down. in the manga its more like. links shadow was brought to life and made into a seprate person and shes so salty about being ignored so long that shes evil out of spite for link .

BECAUSE ITS A MULTIPLAYER PUZZLE GAME ITS LESS OF AN INTERESTING LORE GAME AND MORE OF A LETS DO INCREASINGLY HARD DUNGEONS TOGETHER. but some of the implications in there make me go OUGH. like going into thr shadow realm w moon pearls and like. -ok this is super cool to me when u go into the shadow realm you switch feom playing on the tv, to playing on your connected gameboy advance. this also happens when u go in caves and buildings- . anyways when u go into the shadow realm everything in the overworld becomes a disembodied shadow taking up no spaxe where it was a second ago and vice versa for any disembodies shadows you saq on the ground in tbe overworld. i think thats soooo interesting in gameplay.

i think i got attaches ti lore thru the mangas bc. damn. those themes of accepting every part of yourself as important and valuable got to me alright. ALSO OBV IT GIVES THE LINKS PERSONALITIES AND SUCH OUTSIDE OF THE PKAYERS PROJECTION AND I LIKE THEIR INTERAVTIONS WITH EACH OTHER

The little Coding looks up at SMG4 from its spot on his lap. It thinks, eyes narrowing.

Maybe 10 minutes after the original coding was deactivated? it answers, voice soft. The USBs made me.

"THE USBS?!" everyone seems shocked.

"THE-A USBS CAN MAKE-A NEW CODE?!" Mario screeches.

The little cat-like code nods. Yes. I don't know much but.. apparently the original coding.. was too strict.

"Too strict is an understatment," Saiko huffs, though she goes quiet at a soft glare from Tari.

SMG4 holds up a grape to the little Coding. It pauses before looking up at him and then back at the grape. Was it.. meant to eat it? It wouldn't do it any harm, right?

It leaned forward and gently grabbed the grape with its mouth. It rolled it about before swallowing.

It shot up to its paws and began to prance around SMG4's lap. It let out loud "mrrps!!" as it did so.

"Haha!" SMG4 laughed. "I guess you liked that, huh?"

The little Coding nodded, continuing to prance around his lap. Eventually, it calmed down and settled once more, but the happiness lingered. It was purring now and it's cloud-like appearance was now overtaken by the pastel blue and white.

"I guess it likes grapes," SMG3 muses.

"How long have you been watching us?" Meggy asks, bringing them back on track.

The little Coding thinks, wracking its memory banks for a complete answer. After I repaired the SMGs codes, I came to check. But after that I.. sorta kinda got attached.

"But you didn't approach us because of what happened with the original coding," Meggy finishes for it.

It nods. Yes. It would be a bad idea for me to reveal myself so soon.

SMG4 strokes it's back. "I'm pretty glad you waited, little buddy. I don't think 3 and I would've been the kindest to you if we saw you immediately after."

The little Coding purrs. It was glad it waited as well.

"SMG4, do you think it could stay with us?" Tari asks, clasping her hands together. "I think it'll be nice to have it around!"

The cat-like code looks up at SMG4. Ready to say that it's okay that it can't stay and that it understands. Understands that they're still not fully comfortable with it.

"Sure! It'll be nice, having a roommate other than Mario." he smiles.

"Hey!" Mario glares at him. "Mario is a great roommate!"

The little Coding looks up at him, surprised. He's letting it sleep in the same room as him?

It can't help but press up against him and rub their head against his chin in appreciation. Thank you! I promise, I'll be really good!

SMG4 nods and pats its head, chuckling as it purrs. "I know you will, little buddy. You've already proven it with how open you are."

OUGH. PRECIOUS.

ok usually I actually have coherent thoughts about my favourite characters but im just. not coherenting today. but uhh I like him because (in fanon anyway LMAO but im trusting the fanbase here and by fanbase I mean 1 specific ao3 author) hes pretentious and wears a suit and is an incredibly manipulative bastard who has 0 healthy relationships and I find that interesting to explore :)

ESPECIALLY his family relationships!! like yeah im a toxic yaoi proponent I love that shit but im such a sucker for those mentor & protege dynamics (well, in this case father and son, but still). growing up trusting someone to have your best interests at heart... learning from them, striving to be like them, only to have that trust ripped apart... OUGH.

and then, after that trust is ripped to pieces, seeing their traits reflected in you, no matter how hard you try to escape them?
