Taking a brief moment to enjoy a piece of petty happiness as a Kenjaku fan.
To start, I don't think Gege is going to elaborate in the slightest on exactly what is going on with Takaba and the mystery person he's talking to in ch. 270. And it's sort of a meta comedy bit that uses the reader's engagement with the media for the joke that we just will never know the full uncensored truth (As in, the joke is on US). Even 'Kenjaku's' shirt has "lol" on it. It's fully conceivable that Takaba's technique could have played a role in Kenjaku returning. Perhaps reviving him as someone who is incapable of causing harm (no CE or CT). Maybe it really is a Kenjaku Tulpa. And I'm not fully discounting the idea that it's just as feasible that he could have gotten someone who looked similar/had them do their hair like that (although I feel it defeats the purpose of Takaba finding the perfect comedy partner in Kenjaku only to use a lookalike, but it's still possible.) What this brings me to is the absolute petty satisfaction that for annoying Geto fans who have plagued the timeline/mentions of just about any person who wanted to talk anything about Kenjaku, the "end" for Kenjaku might literally be that he gets to go on and live a normal mundane chill life with his perfect comedy partner and above all still, at the very least, looking like Geto Suguru.
After all the editing out stitches (including from people's fanart which is disgusting), attributing Kenjaku's pregnancy imagery to Suguru who is wholeass just a man, constantly pushing Kenjaku's accomplishments onto "actually being Geto", stinking up people's fanart with complaints that "it would've been better as Geto not Kenjaku", etc. This is what Kenjaku potentially gets, living out the rest of his life in a fulfilling way with someone important to him.
(Mind you I do think the merger plotline being dropped the way it was is disappointing as a person who thinks Kenjaku is objectively the most compelling villain in jjk, but I'm also not mad at the end result we get for him.) Anyway, if you were ever the kind of Geto fan who did all that annoying shit. Get wrecked lmao.

yuuji feels like he was destined to be a dad. he loves being a dad. he loves taking care of your two kids. he loves it so much that he happily gave up his job to become a househusband, not wanting to miss a moment of such a precious time. he loves getting to spend every day with them and taking care of the house for you and dedicating himself to the family that he loves so much.
on the day your youngest starts pre-school, you take the day off from work, knowing how hard it is for yuuji to see your kids grow. it’s not easy for you, but you’re able to focus on how proud you are and lose yourself in your daughter’s excitement and joy at finally being able to be a “big girl” and go to school just like her older brother.
yuuji however just can’t stop crying, no matter how hard he tries, even as he tries to assure your children that everything is fine and he’s just really happy.
and as you both watch your children run through the gates of the pre-school, it’s a good thing you’re there bc yuuji immediately wilts like a flower that hasn’t seen the sun in days when your children are out of sight. you wrap an arm around his middle and he instinctively tosses his over your shoulder to hold you close and tuck you into his side.
he rests the side of his head on top of yours with a heavy sigh, seeming to have no real desire to leave the pre-school even though your business there as parents is now done. if you let him, he would probably stand there until it was time to pick your kids up and take them home.
you give his firm stomach a pat and begin to guide him off down the sleepy, neighborhood street, off towards your empty house and away from your two little balls of pure sunshine.
“c’mon daddy, let’s go home,” you affectionately tease him. “I hid some ice cream in the freezer for you.”
“thanks mama,” he says, and you can hear the sadness in his voice even as he teases you in return. “you’re always looking out for me.”
“of course I am. someone has to and you’re too busy looking out for all of us,” you tell him as you give his waist a squeeze. he then thoughtfully hums and you know something is on his mind. “what?”
“nothing, just…what if we have another baby?”

Here's why I think the Gojo bait is not great writing and why you should maybe think so too (Spoilers till jjk 260).
We've spent the last few chapter consistently establishing a few things about our protagonist (Yuuji) and our antagonist(Sukuna).
1. Yuuji's father's soul is a reincarnation of Sukuna's twin: This instantly creates a connection between Sukuna and Yuuji.
Tumblr media
As if you needed one outside of Sukuna's constant mockery of his former vessel's lack of "competance", and that most of yuuji's biggest losses can be attributed to Sukuna, building his wrath brick by brick. But surely adds to it all.
2. Yuuji feels incredibly lonely right now: Anyone he's created any sort of meaningful (?) Bond with outside of just 'hey you're an ally I can fight alongside with' is currently either dead or greatly incapacitated.
Tumblr media
3. Also ofc the absolute damage that Yuuji has started incurring on sukuna. Damage that the slew of sorcerors before him couldn't. Forget about everyone teaching him abou love, Yuuji will show him Burning Rage.
This while also having hinted at Yuuji being possibly strong enough to do so on his own. He can go head to head with the King Of Curses with or without the help of his fellow sorcerors once he is able to harness this power.
Tumblr media
Anything that was Gojo vs Sukuna feels absolutely irrelevant with the build up that Gege themself has been creating through the past few chapters.
Gojo's form right at the end of the chapter undercuts the pacing completely. Readers are more interested in those last 2 panels of Gojo which are completely removed from and rather jarring to the buildup between Yuuji and Sukuna. Fan interest in Gojo isn't their fault because that's what the chapter makes you focus on.
Tumblr media
The only way I see this continue the buildup is if this is somehow Yuuji's doing or done with his knowledge, in which case it'd have been better to end the chapter by showing that Yuuji is aware of it and has an ace up his sleeve, bringing it back to the 2 relevent characters, and for people to stew in what Yuuji could be up to for a week.
But no matter what Gojo's visage there means, Yuuji in this moment has been so greatly undermined, not by his lack of strength, not by Sukuna outright demeaning him, but by the writing itself. By Gege.
And oh, how Yuuji deserves better.

ns4w, gojo/ambiguous partner
Gojo is seriously the type of guy who would have zero physical boundaries after he starts dating someone; like a toddler who can’t keep their hands off things. Obviously there’s the normal casual touching, which turns more romantic and exaggerated, but also a new, more intimate kind of touching.
He’s grabby.
He’s also bold, and increasingly so the more he gets away with it. Always, no matter the time, place, or occasion, if his hands are available, they are resolutely holding handfuls of his partners ass, chest, hips, hair… anywhere he can reach, really. He gravitates towards them, always present with a hand gripping their thigh, waist, neck… and when he doesn’t, he’s pouty and upset- sometimes even a little mad. He’s a brat about it, actually.
… In private, he’d walk up behind his parter at any time and sneakily slide his hand into their pants after a chaste kiss on the neck and a whispered greeting. He acts before he asks, but he’s a tease so he’s sure to pose the question once he has a hand around them and he’s invading all of their senses. It’s hard to say no when his breathing is getting heavy next to their ear and he’s driving them crazy with the erection he’s grinding against their ass.
He’d grab them, bruising where fingers grasped at whatever soft flesh they can find when he cums, and he hesitates to let go once he’s done, too.

i get critiquing plot holes and power differences/disadvantages and systemic things like sexism and sexualization/fetishization and racism in manga and stories in general, and i also understand loving your favorite character and wanting a certain outcome for them, but it's always a little bonkers to me that people geniuenly believe they could have come up with better endings or outcomes than the authors themselves... like i know people get attached to their favs and everything but manga and story telling is an artform and it's art that's created by a real life person who chooses to share their story with you there is no "better" ending that you could have come up with because you couldn't have come up with those characters in the first place! sure you think you could worm them around in better scenarios but even that is wishful thinking because you couldn't have, wouldn't have, and didn't come up with the world and scenes around them to navigate them in canon in the first place! idk i get wishful thinking and hopes and cracking jokes and fix-it fics and ships all that but sometimes i feel like people need to be humble and take a step back lol.... it's not your story and there's nothing for you to change, much less publicly scream about how the author fucked up just bc your favorite character didnt end up how you wanted them to.... and if u feel that strongly just like... do it in your own little online or irl community lol there's no need to scream on the internet every 3 months about how u think the mangaka who gave u the character u love so much is a piss poor artist

I rly don’t see how ppl be 20+ shipping kids anymore tbh… like, it’s so rampant and I don’t see the appeal to it anymore being as tho I’m in my late 20’s.
#I’m grown….. it always baffles me to see it like man I don’t care I don’t find joy in it anymore since I’m not a teenager#I just look at them and think they’re like my fake son… daughter nephew niece whatever lol#give me the struggling and mentally fucked up 20+ year old give me those middle age bitches man if I’m going to like a ship now anyway#like i don’t care about the romance between kids man it sucks that this is such a huge thing in most fandom spaces#not that I participate in said spaces since ppl are annoying and embarrassing#also very nasty#sns is diff tho like that’s a whole other thing 🪽#sns is just a classic it’s legendary it transcends space and time it it-#I’m so glad that jjk is full of adults tho lmfaoo#one of Gege’s only W’s… especially impressive for a shounen#i like jjk outside of the goiji pairings too like I just genuinely enjoy it despite how awful it is now lol#again#I do think that ppl need to learn how to become more comfortable with enjoying media outside of shipping tho#like there’s nothing wrong with it obviously but I’m talking more like how tons of ppl only get into a new series for the sole purpose#of shipping instead of engaging with said media and the story that it’s trying to tell…#this is why fanon and wild insane hc’s usually get out of control too to the point where those who might be interested in checking out#a series might be deterred because they don’t even know what the show is about because the only stuff that ppl see about the thing is ship#stuff and like discourse#and the behavior of the fans…#these ppl be 30+ arguing with teenagers man it’s crazy to me#I just think there needs to be a balance lol#like still go crazy. Have fun and all but you get it#but anyway. with all that being said! Goiji stays winning in my heart 🚶🏾‍♀️#rambling

I can't believe y'all are gonna me defend gege’s writing 💀💀💀💀💀
thoughts on the recent chapter and story arc below the cut:
I know it’s feeling repetitive or that he’s writing himself into a corner but people thought the same about gege “forgetting” sukuna’s enchain and the whole star plasma vessel/tengen thing but look at how that waiting game turned out! They had a major impact on the plot and gege had a plan!
Another thing to keep in mind is that this arc feels so repetitive and long is because we're only getting 2-3 chapters a month. That's a huge gap in between chapter releases! This was how I felt when reading The Culling Games: it felt very long and drawn out and slightly boring? But I just reread all of the published volumes that include the CG arc and it was wayyyyyyy more palatable. I actualy enjoyed myself!
Kashimo jumps in to fight Sukuna around chapter 237 and we're only 17 chapters past that. In manga terms, this isn't a lot of time especially when you're reading it all at once. People complain about the final battle in Demon Slayer being long and drawn out, but I only finished the manga a year or two ago so I was able to read it all at once instead of waiting; it felt very normal with it's pacing. I suspect that jjk is gonna be the same way.
I won’t really be judging gege’s writing until the very end of the story and I’ve been pleased with nearly everything except for Yuki’s ending. Everything else has felt very accurate to jjk’s themes and character. I’m forcing myself to trust gege as he's said he's always had a vision of what the ending would be and I hope that he'll able to pull through.

time stops, but still your heart is beating
Ten minutes later, Megumi felt a soft thunk on his shoulder. He instinctively froze, fingers twitching, but relaxed when he saw that it was just Yuuji’s head.
Wait—
Megumi tensed again, perhaps even more than before, and slowly looked down at his shoulder.
Yuuji’s head was on his shoulder and he was dead asleep.
Well, Megumi wasn’t very tired anymore. Shit.
[or, megumi is gay and yuuji is pretty and gosh darn it megumi wants to lay his head on yuuji's shoulder so badly he's gonna explode]
