you would be correct. i did try writing a creepypasta, way back when i was 12 years old. i didn't. never finished her bc i utterly despised writing back then. it was like... the bane of my existence. my worst enemy.

if you knew me from 2014 to roughly 2017 or 2018 (which i certainly hope you do not) then you already know this but i used to rp in this fandom. heavily. on quotev dot com. i still do rp, though not for creepypasta anymore because i lost contact with the people i used to rp with. i do however like making random accounts on q bc i made a jeff the killer account and i also plan on making a bloody painter one and also perchance maybe a nina one bc i have no sense of self control.

so, fun fact, all the creepypasta roleplays i did is what honestly made me get into writing but anyways.

i typically just roleplayed as the creepypastas since that's what everyone else did, y'know? original characters and self-inserts were looked down upon at the time because people thought it was 'cringe' and because i desperately wanted to be cool and accepted, i never really. roleplayed as my ocs. not that i had any fleshed out enough to rp as but. we'll get to that in a moment.

so, the three creepypastas that i roleplayed as exclusively, never once rping as any other because my mind latched onto them and refused to fucking let go, was homicidal liu, and both jane the killers. but mostly jane arkensaw. i love arkensaw so much it makes me look like a fool, honestly, and the way that i write her today is still heavily influenced by how i used to write her when i would roleplay. i never wanted to stop roleplaying for creepypasta because they are so near and dear to my heart but a lot of stuff was going on at the time and my friends at the time had moved on from the fandom so i just... stopped.

now, on the topic of ocs. i never had a fully fleshed out creepypasta oc. i always found it difficult to make one?? because it felt like there were a bunch of guidelines on how to properly make an oc so the oc wasn't 'cringe' or whatever and i found the whole thing to be tedious and annoying so i just never properly made an oc. i would come up with concepts, and would even draw some out every now and then but i threw all those drawings out.

i was, and still am, however, a big fucking fan of self-inserts. i only ever rped as a self-insert with one person bc they were the only person i knew that was chill with it and self-shipping and fucking hell it was the best rp i have ever done in my entire writing career nothing has ever compared to it man. the way we did it was we would control our two characters, our self-inserts, and then i would control the character they wanted to be shipped with and they would control the character i wanted to be shipped with. you... you can guess who that was i don't have to tell you, you already know. and we would make our self-inserts friends and have them interact and then they would meet the two creepypastas they were gonna get shipped with and it would slowly branch off so they'd have their own things going on so it was like two separate stories that still connected, and we would discuss what to do next in the rp in a separate message and.

god. it was one of the best moments of my life, excitedly sitting there and continuously checking my notifs, waiting to see a notification telling me they replied to our rp. i miss it, truly. both roleplaying with a friend and roleplaying as a self-insert. i never understood why self-shipping was frowned upon back then, because it was probably the most fun and cathartic thing i've ever done tbh.

thankfully, i've grown and no longer feel the need to please people so i happily and proudly ship myself with characters <3

“C’mon, it’s a party, we’re supposed to have fun.”

The heat of Tommy’s breath washed over your neck, heavy with the scent of bourbon and cheap cigars, and he was drunk.

“Fuck off, Tommy,” you snapped, shouldering him in the chest, wanting nothing more than a breath of fresh air and Tommy fucking Hagan out of your face.

“Ooo, feisty, I like,” his nose wrinkled as he emphasized his words, hand catching your wrist as you turned to walk away. He pulled you back against him, giving you one of his devilish grins. “Carol won’t care, she’s not coming home for Christmas,” he gave you a wink then and you couldn’t take it anymore.

The grip he had on you was vice-like, and for a split second you felt your heart rate flutter against your neck. If he really wanted to he could pull you away, down the hall behind any of the doors and do whatever the hell he wanted. Panic threatened to wreck your cool and you quickly looked over his shoulder for Steve, but he was no where to be seen.

You’d only come to this fucking party because it was Christmas break and everyone was home til New Years. Steve said it’d be good for you both to get out, spend time with people your own age for once – no offense to the kids – but it had proven to be nothing short of a shitty time.

Everyone that had been a dick in high school still was, except for Steve, and college only seemed to make it worse. The popular girls were even more cliquey, wanting nothing to do with you when you approached to say hi, and all the guys were only there to hook up.

Resigned to the fact that Steve was off doing whatever the hell he was doing and not coming to save your ass, you closed your eyes and took in a breath to try and steady yourself.

Then, leaning in as close as you could bear, you put your lips to Tommy’s ear, voice saccharine sweet, “You’re an ass.” And your knee moved so fast he didn’t have time to think before it connected with his crotch.

“Fuuuuuuck,” he half groaned half yelped, doubling over in pain, and you couldn't move fast enough as you walked quickly across the living room to the kitchen. Anything to get away from that creep.

Your face must have said volumes because the girls that had been crowded around the bowl of punch chatting about their nails or something just as stupid scattered without hesitation. Grabbing a red cup from the stack you dunked it into the bowl, not bothering with the ladle, and downed it in one go.

Vodka. Gross.

Wiping the back of your hand across your lips you dunked it again when you felt someone grab your shoulder.

“Tommy, I said fuck off,” you snarled, rounding on what you assumed was a second attempt to yank you into a bedroom, but instead found yourself face to face with the stupid idiot that had dragged you here in the first place.

Your mouth firmed into a straight line and you said nothing as you turned back to the bowl.

“Whoa, whoa, whoa,” Steve scrambled around you so that you were facing each other and he put his hand back on your shoulder, “What was that?”

“Nothing. This party sucks,” you snipe, giving him a shitty look before downing your second cup of gross vodka and Kool-Aid.

Steve’s brows furrowed and he straightened, eyes scanning the room, then stooped back down to look at you again. “What’d he do?” he knew, it was always Tommy, and you knew the look on his face. If you hadn’t been so angry about everything you might have told him how much you liked it when he looked at you like that, but you didn’t have it in you. Not now.

The two of you had been friends forever, since the second grade, always following each other around to parties or movie night or Upside Down shenanigans. Just friends. But lately. Lately it felt like more. Like crackling static buzzing between the two of you anytime you were close. Anytime he pulled you into a hug. Anytime you caught him looking at you while you sat close on the couch watching movies with the kids. And it was there now, but you were too angry.

What’d he do? Steve’s words echoed again in your head, pulling you back to the present and you set your jaw, looking away from him.

“Just being Tommy, fucking creep,” you went to dip your cup in for thirds, but Steve’s hand gently caught your wrist before you could refill it. “Hey!” yanking your hand away you gave him a glare, “It’s a party. We’re supposed be ‘having fun’ aren’t we?”

Jamming his tongue into his cheek, Steve sucked in a breath, a piss poor attempt to keep his cool as he looked up at the ceiling. Bringing his gaze back down to you he took your hand again and gently, but firmly pulled you out the sliding door and onto the patio.

The cold Indiana winter hit you square in the chest, taking your breath away. Even your grandma’s old bedazzled Christmas sweater couldn’t hold any warmth. “What the hell?” you could see your breath as it carried into the night air, glaring at Steve.

His face was struggling between anger and concern and he put his hands on his hips as he leveled with you. “Tommy! What’d he do?” he asked again, flinging a hand out for emphasis, and you felt yourself coming down from the mixture of anger, panic, and shitty vodka.

Biting in your bottom lip you looked away from him, eyes dropping to your chucks that were quickly cold as ice in the small bit of snow still on the ground. “I don’t know,” you started, throat tight as you tried to put words to how for a minute you felt scared. For a minute you weren’t your confident, don’t-fuck-with-me self. And all because of some asshole.

“He–” your words caught in your throat and you cleared it, trying again, “–he tried to get me to…mess around or whatever.” The last part of your sentence was said quietly, almost a whisper. Saying it aloud made it feel more real, made you think about what might’ve happened had you not kneed him in the crotch.

Steve had closed the gap between you two, you hadn’t realized until his fingers softly lifted your chin, trying to meet your gaze. “Fuck him,” Steve said decidedly. His other hand took yours for just a second, squeezing it reassuringly, and then dropped it to storm back inside.

The slider door slammed open on the frame and the buzz of laughter and yelling quieted immediately, ‘Need You Tonight’ by INXS blaring from the speakers was the only thing cutting the silence.

“Tommy!” Steve’s voice was loud over the music and the crowd quickly parted giving him a path straight to what used to be his best friend.

The shit eating grin on Tommy’s face was enough to make Steve want to level him right then and there, but he knew better. “Well, well, well. If it isn’t the King,” Tommy drawled, pupils blown from all the keg stands and cigars, hands lifting up as he gave an over-exaggerated bow.

“Shut up, Tommy,” Steve snapped, bringing himself well into the other man’s space. Rolling up the sleeves of his sweater Steve pushed two fingers into Tommy’s chest and shoved, “Get out.”

Ooooooo.

A crowd had gathered now, leaving enough space in case punches were thrown, and when you finally shoved yourself to the front your stomach dropped. A small groan escaped you and you covered your face with your hands. Why did it always come to this?

“Steve,” you hissed, “Drop it.”

But he either didn’t hear you or ignored it – probably the last one – and hadn’t pulled his gaze away from Tommy who’s response to getting told to leave was laughing.

“Fuck you, Harrington. I’m not leaving,” Tommy crossed his arms over his chest and took a step toward Steve. The toes of their shoes were almost touching as he bit in his lower lip, grinning ear to ear, “You’re gonna have to make me.” The smug look on Tommy’s face was enough to make anyone want to punch him at that point and every pair of eyes at the party immediately settled on Steve, waiting to see what he was going to do.

A dark laugh escaped Steve as he shook his head, turning to look at you as if to say, this fucking guy. A few others chuckled along with him, but the tension was thick.

Then, you saw it first, Steve’s fist ball up at his side, and when he turned back to Tommy it cut through the air, slamming into Tommy’s jaw.

“Oh shit!”

“Fuck him up, Harrington!”

“C’mon, Tommy! Don’t be a pussy!”

Tommy yelped and put a hand over his face, a lilac colored bruise blooming where Steve’s fist had landed. “Man, fuck you, Harrington!” stooping down Tommy lunged at Steve and tried to catch him around the waist, but Steve was too quick. Probably because neither of you had had too much to drink just yet, but Tommy crashed into the coffee table just behind Steve with a crack! the wood top breaking in two.

Shaking his hand, Steve grimaced and quickly shoved past a couple people who were crowding over Tommy to get to you. “Let’s get the hell outta here,” he grumbled, holding his hand against his chest.

“Best idea you’ve had all night,” you say rolling your eyes, but your tone didn’t hold any venom.

You grabbed the front door for him and followed Steve down the front walk to his BMW parked on the street. His one step made up for two of yours and you had to half jog to keep up as he stalked along the pavement.

Unable to help yourself, you looked over at his hand as you got to his car, his good hand reaching to open the passenger door for you. One of his knuckles was cracked and bleeding and the rest of his hand was bright red.

You bit in your lower lip, worrying it between your teeth as the door closed next to you, plopping down into your seat. Clicking your belt into place, Steve fell into his seat quickly after you and started the car. He turned on the heat, ‘Girl Like You’ by Foreigner quietly playing through a bit of static on the speakers.

Neither of you said a word as he waited for the car to warm up, but you could tell his hand hurt. His brows were knitted together as he slowly flexed his hand open and closed, and when he closed it he sucked in a sharp breath.

“Hey,” almost instinctively you reached across him for his good hand, voice soft as it was your turn to give a reassuring squeeze.

Steve lifted his gaze from the steering wheel to meet yours, the light from the street lamps turning his brown eyes a soft caramel color. A small huff of a laugh escaped him as he threaded his fingers with yours, “Sorry. That party did suck.”

You gave him a half-hearted smile, but it fell when you looked back down at his hand. “Your hand…” you started, untangling your fingers from his to ghost over the cut and bruises that were forming.

“Ah, it’s fine. I’ve had worse,” he joked, and while you knew he was right, demobats aside, he was still hurting. His eyes flicked back up to look at you and you felt the last little bits of anger melt under his gaze. Even now, brow furrowed and hair haphazard, he was still so fucking pretty.

“I’m sorry,” you finally said, reaching a hand up to brush a few stray hairs out of his face, letting it settle on the line of his jaw.

Steve leaned into your touch, it was warm and soft as you both sat in the wintery cold, and he was thankful for it. “S’okay,” he murmured, his good hand moving to brush his thumb gently across your cheek, “You’re worth it.” The smile he gave you then sent your heart rate racing, heat rising in your cheeks, and you could’ve sworn you saw the same in him.

The air between you felt electric as you held each other softly, tenderly in a moment where only the two of you existed. Swallowing the nerves that were creeping into your chest, you blinked softly, lashes sweeping your cheeks. “Steve…” your voice was gentle, more timid than usual, and he could sense your hesitation.

“Yeah?” he said, leaning in just a little closer, your noses almost touching as his bruised hand settled on your waist.

Quiet again, you couldn’t muster a response, and instead closed the gap between the two of you by pressing your lips against his.

Steve was soft and sweet and you could taste the spearmint gum he’d been chewing earlier in the night. The leathery cedar scent of his cologne made your head hazy and when you finally pulled away the absence of him made your heart ache.

“Hm,” Steve murmured thoughtfully, hand still gently resting on your cheek, “That’s funny.”

Your brow furrowed in confusion, finding nothing funny about what had just happened, but he caught it on your face and laughed softly. “My hand feels better,” he joked, the corners of his lips tugging up into a grin.

Letting out a small groan you shook your head and slipped your hands down to his chest to grab fistfuls of his scratchy, woolly Christmas sweater. “Well, then you better do it again, Harrington," you said, matching his grin. Pulling him into you there in the idling car, the warmth from the vents not the only source of heat in that moment, you kissed him again. And again. And again.

so right a couple of my film friends and i met last night to do wine and glee and i left and tried to catch a bus in our gross rainy cold weather and so when it finally comes im just like zoo wee mama my glasses r fogging up and all that shit. but who of course is on the bus but my one friend the main perpetrator of acting like im some flaky cunt (rant city below)

so i guess technically this wouldnt look great on my part bc i was obviously Somewhere and had been ignoring the group chat making plans but oh my GOD whatever who careessssss who Cares. so im like fucking phenomenal ok walk back Omg hi and she moves her shit so i can sit and i get settled and am like hey. and she asks what i was up to and ofc when i say anything bc this is fucking awkward shes just got this stupid smug little smile but i was just sitting there like bitch im not gonna sit here and act embarrassed for seeing my other friends so i was just like So are u guys doing x tn and shes like mhm yep are you coming and i was like well gee i dont know. sarcastic shrug. make conversation about the timing of the place for a second kinda jokin then awk silence

and so then because im a chill normal adult and am aware that shes about to go meet the group of friends and no matter what this interaction is going to be brought up and i had been planning on composing a levelheaded text but i just said Look im sorry that i ghosted you guys (and shes again smug smiling nodding next to me. girl.) i just honestly got tired of feeling like im being singled out and judged when i cant make it to something and she literally is just like Well im sorry you feel that way just u know we do try to come up w different days etc (if u like me are bad at reading between the lines this was a non apology and defense based on uh Nothing) and i was like right well ik last semester wasnt great it's just that sometimes i feel like im being shunned in the group chats when no one answers or reacts to anything i say and the other day when you said like. yk the 'could u commit' thing that felt really sort of condescending

and shes like again well im sorry u felt that way i was just trying to find another day that u could actually make it cause i wanted us all to be there so im not really sure how that came across as condescending but um yeah. and i, jackass that i am (<3) pulled out my phone and pointed and said Well u see we didnt have actual plans and in fact no one answered when i said anything abt it and yk things come up and so for me to have sent this whole nice thing and just get 'do you think youd be able to commit' in response felt a little bit needlessly mean (and i also tried to earnestly say at some point in all this that i genuinely do love and care for them and want to see them but yk this Sucks and was just bad timing)

THEN we somehow spin into her going Well i just had no idea this was even a thing until you brought it up just now i mean i wasnt even thinking abt it ive never really thought that of you etc and so then im sitting here feeling like im being gaslit in real time not to be dramatic and i felt very much like when i was in high school and people manipulated me bc i was a very easy target (its not that real but w/e) and so im like Ok be calm but dont just like let that slide cause girl be serious (prob should have but what ever) so i was like well you know i do apologize if i just couldnt tell your intent over text, but after you guys never answered me about hanging out and then the short responses like maybe u can kind of see where i felt like you were being rude (didnt say it quite that bluntly w/e)

and she pulls out the big card. the. well i just think youre being defensive. oh years and years of being the youngest and punished for um having feelings lmfao slammed me in my chest at that moment. and i calmly said Okay cool i think youre being defensive. and i lit missed my bus stop cause this driver was swerving so then i was just like Well you guys have fun maybe ill see you tonight bye. so. really feeling awesome abt the state of that. in all reality tho it's like i hung out w some friends and then went out to the gay bar w others and danced and etc and i can only imagine how much of a Thing this was for them so. if someone could win it'd be me right

as for the question !!!!! hm hm HMM i honestly think i just loveee going on walks…. nothing beats spring walks imo (autumn walks r a close second tho >:3) it’s just so lovely to stroll around a bright green park…. grab a milkshake from any cute stores i pass…… and seeing the flowers and the bees and everything is always so lovely hhh i can’t wait for everything to bloom :’3

AND AS FOR HQ … bokuto is a cutie but not one of my faves sadly 😞😞 MAYBE ONE DAY THO i’m a big fan of suncoded men so there’s a big chance honestly….. BUT for this question i’m just gonna go w nishinoya bc he feels like a very springcoded boy compared to my other faves !!

Reading Secrets Can Kill but I Share My Every Thought Chapters 5-8

- gym teacher borderline misogynistic ab cheerleading to Carla instead of just calling her irresponsible - Hal Morgan -> Hal Tanaka - Hal ran against daryl for class prez and im wondering if that's bc of Jake - Hal being blackmailed to write essay for Jake, maybe didn't actually copy an essay for this one - Jake has locker 515 - I don't think we know his locker number in the game ? which is a bummer bc that would be a simple fun tie-in - nancy uses a little lock picking kit which would honestly be a more fun puzzle/mini game than JAKE on the phone (esp bc puzzles feel so scarce in the remastered one to me) - Connie's bracelet inside locker so maybe he blackmailed her for it instead - i like Connie and Nancy being friends in the book - daryl sees her and smiles his "porsche driver's grin" whatever the hell that means ???

- daryl talks way too openly about her being a detective, idc if no one else is in the room - nancy ABANDONS investigating the video lab to ask Daryl to go for a coke. this is the biggest difference from the games because nancy wouldn't even stop sleuthing if Ned was deathly ill in those, meanwhile here's a man she just met and revved her engine at (never getting over that) and she's putting her case on the back burner - she literally tells daryl the last thing she wants to do rn is solve mystery. she's got it so bad wtf - Nancy's brakes aren't working as she's going downhill far too fast 😱 and Jake was poking around cars as she and daryl were leaving so Jake might be a lot more dangerous than he was in the game - they almost end up in an intersection until nancy veers them into the shoulder and after she almost kills them both she starts GIGGLING bc her car is due for inspection soon. ok girl. - her brakes were cut 😱 and then her car EXPLODES so....the affinity for explosions is the game seems to be in line w the book - hey maybe now nancy can get her dream Ford gt-e whatever convertible - after they got flung by the force of the explosion he's holding her and nancy is just thinking ab how "fabulous" daryls arms feel around her. GET A GRIP NANCY U ALMOST DIED - she and daryl had been kissing and now she finally, finally remembered Ned exists and feels bad lol - nancy thinks it's Jake and daryl asks what she's gonna do and she says "talk to him about it. first thing tomorrow" and personally if someone cut my BRAKES i would not simply chat with them about it ??? - bess and george are also like "hey maybe tell the cops instead of just talking to the guy who tried to kill you" but nancy is "confident she can handle him" HE CUT UR BRAKES !!!!!!!! what r u talking about nancy - Jake is dead now and i hope nancy will suspect daryl considering he knows she thinks it was him who cut her brakes and might have done it to ~protect~ her - I thought nancy would've been the one to find him when she went to confront him but ig not - Jake got beat up before being pushed down the stairs so im wondering if that'll be daryl but w/o him killing Jake - it seems like no one is pretending to be or acting sad that Jake is dead so ig the game fits the book - I would still pretend tho like??? - daryl does not seem to have found the body - even with all this nancy makes a point to make Carla jealous and kiss daryl's cheek she's soooo into him - nancy breaks in to Jake's locker pt 2, evidence tampering edition: wire cutters!! so he def tried to kill her, - nancy would bet her "$50 designer jeans" that Jake made the video and im stuck on the $50 part like who are we considering designer here??? - she finds an article ab walt (blech) having a football injury and if he couldn't play in the all state Champs he'd lose his scholarship but he "poo-pooed" the injury. you guys. i can't do it w this dialogue that is TERRIBLE - he also had SAT answers in there and I wonder if that's what Hal vs the essay from the game - I wonder why they changed that? it's interesting figuring out all the differences - desperate to know what he has on Connie tho !!!! - Brenda Carlton catches her committing a felony! idk who this lady is - OK investigative reporter girlie and nancy should team up and have an enemies to lovers arc forget Ned forget daryl idc - nancy is VERY murdery in this book between wanting to push Jake down the stairs and going "she promised herself one day she was gonna close that reporters notebook for good" like this is not the same girl detective that only blocked moves and never went on offense at the end of DAN - video lab has been trashed (hey maybe you should've investigated it before and not gone for a death ride w daryl instead !!!) - magically, the one not-trashed area has Jake's evidence tape - walt "hunk" hogan doesn't seem to be using steroids he's just badly injured and hiding it for the sake of his scholarship :( - this just seems messed up that he could lose it over an injury and is maybe doing worse damage to his body as a result - someone is hiding in the supply room of the video lab 😱 luckily she was smart this time and ran instead of confronting them - OK nvm door won't open and she hears footsteps behind her, confrontation imminent but also I feel like it'll just be daryl or smth and he saw her running but wasn't the one in the video lab

hello, again, okay so, a few weeks back we had this thesis project 6 per group and ive had converstaions w all of them except for 1.

by this point i was lamenting over a past love, we werent necessarily together since we were like, idk 14 or smth when it happened and its been 7 years, we kinda drifted apart after graduation since i thought 'it wouldnt last anyway' and i kept rejecting their advances for a year or two, but i still liked them;;; anyway back in 2020 we got in touch again and i told them that i still liked them and i was just dumb and all that and they seemed to return my advances and ofc i asked if they were comfortable and not just going w the flow yknow and they said yes so.

i confessed and they said not yet cause of school stuff but they do like me still and so i said id wait, THEN it was all okay since we joke and all that but they always seem to reject when i ask them directly about us or like even just to meet up or smth, and ofc i get it so i try not to bother them too much until valentine's rolls in and they post smth on ig with them and their friends and theres this girl with a solo shot of her being goofy and smiling and i just.

idk i took it as a sign to stop since he always used to do that w me before so yeh.

and then like with school i just got lost in all it and directed every ounce of my passion so we finished some stuff quite early, theres only 2 big ones of them we needed to do so a member suggested to split the work between us six. one of thems easier than the other so i got grouped with the guy i havent talked to, kinda scared abt it but all was fine. i added him (lets call him graham) on facebook so we could talk in messenger about planning what to do and all that, then after i found that he's friends with another group member who happened to be someone im close with, kinda AND they messaged me so i asked whats up cause i thought it was abt the project and they reply with smth along the lines of "nothing, graham's just rlly overjoyed since u addrd him cause he likes u" AND IM WHAT CAUSE IM P SURE WEVE NEVER MET then he follows it up w "ure his type, smart and hardworking" AND I DONT HAVE THE HEART TO TELL THAT IM A FALSE ADVERTISEMENT CAUSE IM RLLY NOT ALL THAT AND IM SCARED OF DISAPPOINTING ANYONE

anyway they let it be and i didnt think much of it cause maybe theyre just messing around yknow so nothing much happened, we finished the project and everything's all right until we were grouped for another thing through our society/club whatevr and i was kinda nervous since its my first time meeting them and everything was fun actually turns out it was graham's bday last tuesday so i greeted him and we joked a bit cause wednesday's the club thingy, i didnt even know what he looked like since his pfp's from when he was a kid

wednesday rolls in and im in the library with a friend, a mutual friend of ours and he said hello to me and i was so happy somehow??? I DONT REALLY GET IT MYSELF I USUALLY TAKE SO LONG TO ACCLIMATIZR TO SOMEONE BUT LIKE THE CLUB THINGY WENT WELL AND WE WERE JOKING BY THE END OF THE DAY AND I JUST, i think i like him as well?? he even asked to take a picture with me he seemed so nervous i wanted to hug him I ACTUALLY THOUGHT ITD BE OUR WHOLE GROUP IN THE CLUB but it turns out it wasnt so !!!!!!

thursday comes and we messaged a bit (he chatted first, abt the thesis) we were in a seminar and i was a bit late that day so i was at the back and our other classmates r upfront w him so never really met, until a friend of mine and i were going home and we MET THEM ON THE TRAIN ISTG MY HEART WAS JUMPING UNTIL I GOT HOME SMILING LIKE AN IDIOT WHILE WALKING

okay sorry but like, tldr, im a bit afraid that i only "like" him cause he liked me first, yknow after i waited for the previous person and evrything for so long and receiving little to nothing ++ i think his expectation of me's kinda high im neither smart nor hardworking im just anxious all the time so i have to do my work quick or else i'll die and some part of me's still doubting his feelings for me as just a prank cause nsjdhbf idk im not really pretty too so whats up why is this happrning but he's so fucking cute (generally) and i am falling as well and im scared cause we'd be graduating in a year so what if this also doesnt end quite well and i end up losing a friend?

Hello, you seem very stressed out! Please take several deep breaths, put on some calming music and remember that none of this is life or death.

First of all, you're right to let this past love go, it's simply not in the cards and I'm proud of you for recognizing that. Throw the whole man away, if he makes you feel bad(even if he's not doing it on purpose!) you don't need that drama.

I'm not going to diagnose you with anything over the internet, especially not based on one interaction, but I will say that in this ask specifically, you are exhibiting pretty high levels of anxiety and worry that it might be good to speak to a professional about. Your university should have free mental health services, if you have insurance you can call and ask what providers they cover, and failing that, there are many therapists and psychiatrists who offer sliding scale coverage for low income patients.

Alright, now that's done, what needs to happen here is something that I know you will not like, but is pretty much mandatory-you need to have a conversation with Graham. It's okay if it turns out you only like that he's interested in you, and when you get to know him you're less into him. You're not asking him to marry you after all. It's also okay if you're not smart or funny or hardworking (I think you're being too hard on yourself, but even so, it's okay).

If you talk with him and express your interest, you can set a boundary on how you like to be complimented(i.e., low pressure compliments that don't comment on your abilities) and specify if you want something casual just to see how you vibe. Even if you graduate, you might stay together, or you might not. You definitely won't know unless you try.

Also, who cares if you want attention???? you're human, that's totally natural. You're not gonna go to Needy Jail for it.

All that to say:

go to therapy

figure out what you want (in general and from Graham specifically. You can do this in therapy)

stop talking to past love

start talking to Graham about what you want

remember that even if things end up less than ideal, it's okay
