[Get Familiar With the RCD Universe] [part 1] [part 2] this is part 3
Warning(s): Toxic relationships (romantic and platonic), unrequited feelings handled poorly my dude, brief descriptions of violence, there's language in here bud, I remember typing it. This one is probably the most angsty now that I think about it-
Note(s): This thing right here is significant enough that I wanted to dedicate a seperate part to it.
Word Count: pretty sure we're past 1.5k here

Let's get into some backstory, shall we?
Natasha and Yelena's dad, Alexei, was ex-military and friends with Logan, and both of them came to see Logan as their uncle and even another parental figure. Since Natasha and Yelena's parents weren't every engaging, they often went over to Logan's, where he looked after them. With Skitch being Logan's adopted kid, they of course got to know each other and become very close. Logan would also bring the three of them to work with him to keep an eye on them. Yelena and Skitch became very close, basically thick as thieves, while it was clear that Skitch adored Natasha.
It was like that when all three of them were in school years together. Yelena and Skitch were definitely a bit closer just because they were the closest in grade, but Skitch couldn't help but be drawn to Natasha; she had brains, beauty, talent, all of it. And they never complained while having to watch Natasha take her after-school dance classes before walking to TMD together.
it was on one of these walks to The Maker's Damned during high school that Skitch confessed to Natasha. She never gave a straight answer, but she did wind up full-on kissing Skitch before they could walk into the workshop.
Your brightness in your eyes could only be outdone by the shine of your smile. "So does that mean you feel the same way?"
Natasha simply rubbed your forearm while giving you a small smile. "Don't think too hard about it, Skitch."
Your eyebrows furrowed as your smile lowered a bit, "I mean.. alright," You opened the door to the workshop for Natasha to go through first.
"Thank you, Y/n," she left a quick peck on you cheek before entering and you couldn't help the dumb smile left on your face.
"Yeah..."
---
'don't think too hard about it,' became Natasha's all expenses paid ticket to your heart, your time, and your romantic attention. While you wanted to remember that nothing was officially set between the two of you, she almost set an expectation for things to go somewhere with all the new one on one time you had with Natasha that felt more like dates than just hanging out, the stolen kisses and makeouts before and after classes. Never anything more than that though...
Skitch's relationship with Natasha began to fray once Natasha got into college. Skitch already knew they weren't going to college themselves (they didn't really know what they'd do there, and they didn't think they'd make it into a good one anyhow), but regardless of whatever confusing fuckery Nat was playing with skitch, she was still considered family to them, and Skitch believed that they'd still be close.
This was not the case.
Natasha, who initially was in college for dance, was scouted to do modelling and made new connections and friends. Upscale friends. It's no secret that Natasha and Yelena's upbringing was far from cushy: they had everything they needed, and they worked for all the extra things they wanted. Natasha even worked a few hours at TMD with logan doing inventory last two years of high school for some extra cash.
But Natasha tried to bury that part of her life, going as far as ghosting Logan and Skitch and all the peoples at The Maker's Damned to focus on cultivating her budding career as a model. Weekly rendezvous and daily calls between Natasha and Skitch turned into once a week if the timing was right. Further down the line, Natasha used her connections to branch out into Fashion and design, creating what is now known today as the Romanova brand.
Natasha had become invested in her new friendships, even started dating some science buff she met in college named Bruce Banner. He was nice enough to start, but he was always just a bit pushy and so different from Natasha. Natasha and Bruce were off and on, and the last time that they ended things, Bruce showed up to Natasha’s apartment and got very aggressive with her. Skitch, who, at the request of Yelena, came to check on Natasha and hopefully patch the rift (she) made. Upon arrival, Skitch saw Bruce trying to force his way inside Natasha’s apartment and pulled him away. This escalated into an altercation between Bruce and Skitch, Bruce not knowing (or caring) who skitch was, got belligerent with them as well.
Remember Skitch's police record? yeahhhh.
Skitch wound up putting hands on the man, breaking his nose and arm while leaving several other bruises on him. Skitch wound up with a nasty gash on their cheekbone, and after getting them to the ground kicked them in the ribs a good few times. Bruce called the police on Skitch, where they were charged with simple battery, [they were able to deescalate the situation to get the incident charged as a misdemeanor instead of a felony]. The public story was that Skitch assaulted Banner unprovoked while he was at his girlfriend’s house, which Skitch was advised to agree to by Logan. Skitch spent six months in jail instead of the sentenced full year due to good behavior.
Skitch and Natasha subsequently had a falling out due to this incident once all three of them are at the police station, where Natasha was further agitated by Skitch showing up to her place unannounced. Nevermind the fact that she very well could have been in danger if Skitch wasn't there.
Logan walked out into the waiting room with Skitch after they gave their statement. "I'm gonna go see about some ice for your...everything, bub. We'll probably put it on your face first to get the swelling to go down." you slowly nodded as Logan handed you a towel to clean up your face a bit, "I saw the other kid though... Good work." He patted your shoulder before he walked off.
Natasha was fuming when she came back from giving her statement. "You Show up to my apartment, that I know I didn't give you the address to, and cause even more problems for me to have to clean up! Just abandon your schoolyard crush on me and leave me the fuck alone!"
You rolled your eyes as you felt a headache coming on. “Never mind the fact that your SISTER asked me to come by to try and check on you, but you've never had to worry about me taking up your precious space when you’ve made it abundantly clear that you don’t give a SHIT about me!”
You took a deep breath since raising your voice made pain shoot through your side. "I didn't just agree to plead guilty cuz I was trapped, Nat."
Natasha scoffed at that, "What, so you're going to jail for me now, too?"
You leaned back on the bench and looked The redhead dead in the eyes. "Who do you think is next on the list of every pompous ass like Bruce Banner if it didn't look like I acted on my own? Who do you think they're gonna wanna ruin next if they knew I was there out of concern for you..."
Natasha bites her lip as the realization sets in; Bruce was a golden boy with a promising future as a Doctor/Biochemist/whatever the fuck he wanted to be, with more than half of his advisors going to bat for him. Natasha's budding modeling career would be clipped at the knees with no effort, all her contacts would turn tail if you didn't say you acted on your own. Even now you were acting in her best interest. Even now You were still protecting her.
With that realization, Natasha got up and left the police station on her own.
'Thank you.'
You watched Natasha leave before banging your head on the wall you leaned up against, your eyes closed.
'You're welcome.'
and that was the last time You and Natasha saw or spoke to each other.
Yelena felt guilty as all hell knowing she sent Skitch to check on her sister and then wound up doing time trying to help her. She yelled and she screamed at Natasha for not sticking by Skitch when that's all they've ever done for the both of them.
"It isn't about love, it isn't even about infatuation or a chance, it was about giving a fuck, Nat! Y/n was there, because I asked them to go, and because I knew they cared that you were okay, which is more than they can say about you."
This incident is also what wound up straining Natasha and Yelena's relationship as well.
Yelena kept close ties with Everyone as she ventured into Coordinating and working as a Sieu Chef in New York. Skitch and the others keep up with Natasha through the public eye and Yelena's updates (that she doesn't get too much of).
There's not even a cosign on the Christmas card Yelena sends in the mail for Skitch and Logan every year. Even as one who believes in forgiveness, after getting out of prison, Skitch stopped thinking "what did I do wrong? How can I fix this?" and started focusing on working at The Makers Damned full-time, though the notion of Natasha leaving "the common people" for a more lavish, glamorous life and career still sticks with them.
Though you could say that Skitch not holding resentment for everyone who live lives like Natasha does led them to pursuing their relationship with Wanda...

Have you ever seen the Alistair Sim Scrooge? My personal favorite.
PS What do you think of the theory that Scrooge's dad was also visited by the three spirits?
I have now!
After getting this ask, I was shocked to discover that I'd never watched a straightforward adaptation of A Christmas Carol. I thought I'd seen a million versions, but upon reflection, all the ones I've seen were either the Muppet version, stories where fictional characters from other franchises play the roles, or shows that adapt the basic framework to another setting. Since I've seen praise for the Sim version elsewhere, I figured this was a good place to start.
Some thoughts:
Sim's Scrooge is slimy. Playing up how odious he in his demeanor and body language. (Made me think of how some people play Mr. Collins from Pride and Prejudice).
The acting style was very old-fashioned and theatrical and it took some getting used to.
Bob Crachit was excellent. Just a nice, steady guy. I'm starting to suspect that Crachit's a role that's hard to mess up. There are lots of different flavors of "cheerful everyman" that can all feel like a valid fit for his role in the story.
I liked that this version included the "spirits walking the Earth and bewailing their inability to help" scene, even though it looked really weird.
The Christmas Past section had a lot of odd changes. Scrooge's father hates him because his mother died giving birth to him (even though in the book, Fanny is younger than him). Belle is now called Alice for some reason. They seemed to be trying to create a "Scrooge was terrible because of his relationship with his father" narrative that doesn't really match the book.
I don't think either the past or present sections captured the joy of the Christmas parties.
There's a reason the book didn't go into detail about Scrooge's business dealings. The board room meeting was so boring and I couldn't follow it at all.
On the one hand, it's interesting to see the extra scenes about Scrooge's rise in business. On the other hand, I have a very hard time believing all these events took place at Christmas.
The Ghost of Christmas Present was excellent. I loved how they explicitly made the Spirit of Christmas about having Christian charity. (Though I'm not sure I like the notion that the Spirit himself lives all year--he's tied to the festival, and if every day is Christmas, then none of them are.)
I'm impressed that they included the scene with Want and Ignorance.
The change in Scrooge's arc was interesting and a bit baffling. Making him recognize the need for change early on but thinking he's too old to change. It makes him rather cowardly, and I'm not sure how the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come would motivate a man like that--this could seem to be confirming his idea that he's past hope.
The thieves selling Scrooge's things were an excellently entertaining (if terrible) group of Cockneys.
By far the best part of the story was its adaptation of Stave 5. It's so much fun to see the extra scenes of everyone reacting to Scrooge's change. I doubled over laughing when he started chasing after his terrified housekeeper. The scene of the maid encouraging him to go see Fred was adorable. Loved how Tiny Tim guessed the turkey was from him.
My very favorite bit was Scrooge saying, "I don't know how I can be so happy. I don't deserve it. But I just can't help it." I keep thinking about it--it's such a lovely expression of how redemption is a gift that goes far beyond what we have earned.
I don't think I've ever heard the theory that Scrooge's father was visited by the three Ghosts, but I don't think I'm a fan. I don't like the idea of the Ghosts interfering so much in this one family. I much prefer a mundane explanation for Scrooge's father's change of heart.

A collection of my thoughts, reactions, predictions and whatnot that I had and wrote down while I was reading The Sea of Monsters. So spoilers for that under the cut.
EDIT: part 1, part 3, part 4, part 5
Ah, I just now realized that Percy’s sword, Riptide, is another nod to his Poseidon heritage
Where the hell was this kind of school when I was Percy’s age? You don’t get grades, and you just get to blow shit up in science class?? I fucking wish
Tyson kind of reminds me of some of the special ed kids I knew in elementary school. Or kids with low-functioning autism. That’s probably what Percy figured, too, since he didn’t know that Tyson was a cyclops at first. Percy is such a sweetheart, and he does his best to treat Tyson kindly and to protect him from bullies. And he does it not to feel better about himself but because he wants Tyson to feel better. And he doesn’t just protect Tyson and leave him alone afterwards and hope he doesn’t talk to him. He genuinely considers Tyson to be one of his friends and he cares about him. I just. I love this kid.
Ah, yes. Tantalus. I remember you. Your son had sex with Percy’s dad.
I like that whenever Percy sees Grover in a wedding dress, he says nothing about the fact that Grover is a boy wearing a dress, he’s just like, “bro, that does not fit you at all, you need a size 9 at least before we can call it kosher”. I love these kids.
I like Silena Beauregard and Charles Beckendorf. I imagine that they're a couple, because it would be a cute reference to the fact that Aphrodite and Hephaestus are technically married. In a very crack shippy kind of way.
I just now realized that the name of Luke's sword (Backbiter) was foreshadowing for his inevitable betrayal. Backbiter is a term used to describe someone untrustworthy, or used to describe a traitor. It’s basically a synonym for “backstabber”. The trickster Norse god Loki is actually frequently referred to with the epithet Backbiter. It could also be a reference to the fact that Hermes is not only a trickster god, but also the god of liars and thieves, which would make sense considering that Luke is a son of Hermes.
Holy shit, Luke is trying to Voldemort this shit!
“‘Percy,’ Annabeth said, trying to keep her cool, ‘we’re going to Polyphemus’s island! Polyphemus is an S-i-k… a C-y-k…” She stamped her foot in frustration. As smart as she was, Annabeth was dyslexic, too. We could’ve been there all night while she tried to spell Cyclops.” I love this book.
Percy’s like, a donut shop in the middle of nowhere is a little weird, but donuts aren’t all that high on my list of threats to worry about. Percy, last book you were almost murdered by Medusa at a diner. I think you should know by now that free food is sketchy as hell when you’re you.
“‘I DON’T CARE WHAT IT SAID!’ Ares bellowed with such force that his image shimmered. ‘You will succeed. And if you don’t…’ He raised his fist. Even though he was only a figure in the steam, Clarisse flinched.” Oh, baby…
I think Clarisse should swear. She deserves it.
Annabeth talking about weaving and Athena’s skill with weaving specifically makes me wonder if we’re ever going to meet or get some other mention/reference to Arachne.
“‘But…’ Annabeth’s voice sounded hurt. ‘What’s wrong with my hair?’” Annabeth saying this broke my heart, but then I remembered that she’s going to be Black in that new live action series, and thinking about this scene with that context in mind hurt me even more considering how Black kids are often shamed and punished for their natural hair texture. I’m just imagining little Annabeth getting made fun of by other kids for her hair and teachers punishing her for being “dirty” or “ungroomed”, and then thinking about the way this cunt is manipulating Annabeth to feel like she’s lesser than because of it. That new live series Disney+ is making better not mess this up.
Holy shit, did C.C. also invent the concept of Instagram?? Why is she obliterating these thirteen-year-olds’ self-esteem???
Oh, because she’s a witch. Yup, Circe, that checks out
Amelia Earheart was a half-blood? I love that. Also, yes! Thank you for mentioning Atalanta, I adore her! She’s one of my favorite characters in Greek mytho-history.
Also, Blackbeard being a son of Ares makes way too much sense
Percy being good at sailing is amazing. Finding that one interest that’s very niche and obscure that’s almost useless in modern society and nailing the hell out of it is very neurodivergent of him and I’m so proud of him for that
“I looked over, expecting to see Annabeth, but the girl wasn’t Annabeth. She wore punk-style clothes with silver chains on her wrists. She had spiky black hair, dark eyeliner around her stormy blue eyes, and a spray of freckles across her nose. She looked familiar, but I wasn’t sure why.” Wait. Is that Thalia?
"'But… you're still getting married?' Grover sounded hurt." Grover, baby, he was going to kill you. This is not about you not being hot enough for him.
Annabeth calling herself Nobody to get Polyphemus's attention—I remember that myth; I read it in elementary school. I thought it was hysterical. It still is. Also Annabeth's burn game is on point.I didn’t know that that hero was Odysseus specifically, but now that I do, it makes a lot more sense.
By the way, isn’t Odysseus related to Poseidon? I can’t remember, but I could swear that Odysseus was a grandson of Poseidon… (two Google searches later). Nope, it was Hermes. He’s a grandson of Hermes, which, yeah, that makes more sense than Poseidon.
"'Not a traitor,' Tyson said. 'And you are not my kind.'" YES, BABY!!
Percabeth. Just Percabeth. I love these children and I love them together.
Percy is one of the best protagonists ever. When Polyphemus was crying and asking Percy not to kill him, Percy spared him. Not because Polyphemus didn't deserve to die, but because Percy didn't want to kill him and felt bad for him. He sympathizes with Clarisse when she's upset, even though she's insulting him and Annabeth is angry with her. He remembers the way Ares had treated her on the boat, and instead of yelling back at her, he treats her with kindness and patience. He lets her complete her quest and have the glory that comes with it, because Percy doesn’t care about getting recognized by the camp for what he did—he just wants the camp to be saved, and as long as the Fleece is delivered to do that, he doesn’t care how. I just. I love him so much. He's such a sweet kid.
I love that Annabeth is the bloodthirsty, petty one between her and Percy.
Holy shit, Tyson's watch thing!! Damn, Tyson!
Percy proudly calling Tyson his baby brother is everything to me.
I love that at this point in the story, Percy is only 13 and has canonically been wanted by the police on two separate occasions.
HOLY SHIT!!!!! THALIA'S ALIVE!!!!!!!!! I AM READY TO LOVE HER!!!!!!!!

Mini Summer VV Event: Part 3
Tumblr media
Another oneshot… I’ve been in a pup-centric mood for weeks now, so here ya go!
fluff//quadruplet-centric//tw: insects
— 🐞—
„What are you four doing?“ Daniel leans against the rake, sticking its spikes into the warm, soft earth under him.
„Looking for bugs!“ Evie says. The „Duh, Dad!“ is implied. She’s absolutely covered in dirt, even her blond hair that is sticking out from under her hat is caked with it.
Her, Flynn and Luna are all climbing the pile of manure outside the barn; Flynn and Luna both don’t look much cleaner than Evie.
„We’re categorizing them,“ Jakob says like it’s obvious. He’s sitting cross-legged in the tub of a wheelbarrow, his glasses having slipped down his nose. He doesn’t like getting dirty, but it looks like they’ve found the perfect job for him. The notebook in his lap is covered in his neat handwriting and little drawings of what Daniel assumes is different bugs and worms.
„We’ve found nineteen earthworms already!“ Flynn exclaims, giving Daniel a big, gap-toothed smile. He’s currently missing both front teeth, and it just adds to his rascally looks. Like looking into a time travel mirror for Daniel.
„Wow,“ Daniel grins, „That’s a lot of earthworms.“
„They’re making good soil for the garden!“ Luna gently lifts a worm into her palm, looking at it fondly.
„There’s also lots of ladybugs,“ Evie adds, but Flynn cuts her off, „And dung beetles!“
„Lotsa bugs in there, huh?“ Daniel grins. Sometimes he’s overcome with love for the kids; him and Michelle always got along, but their age difference and difference in interests was always a bit awkward. Meanwhile these four are as thick as thieves.
„Yes, they like it in there,“ Jakob states, matter-of-factly, „It’s their home.“
„Their Bug Kingdom!“ Evie roars, thrusting her fists into the air, making Luna giggle. „I’ll be the bug knight!“
„I wanna be a bug knight, too!“ Flynn demands, and Luna scrambles to her feet, almost slipping on all the dirt, „Can I be the bug princess?“
„Bugs don’t live in a monarchy!“ Jakob protests, but then hesitates, „…although bees have a queen.“
„We’re playing pretend!“ Flynn tells him, jumping off the pile, reaching out for Jakob after wiping his dirty hands on his shorts, „Come on, you can think of the story!“ That lights up Jakob’s face. He doesn’t always get the games the others play, but they’ve long since figured out that he is great at thinking of story lines for their play pretend.
„The bug princess needs saving!“
„Let’s ask Riley if he wants to be the butterfly queen!“
They run off together, leaving a trail of manure, straw and dirt behind.
Daniel watches them go with a grin on his face.
They’ve had their fair share of trouble with these four, but Daniel thinks maybe they’ve done some things right, too.

Hi ٩(。•́‿•̀。)۶ Can your write a Persona 5 x F!reader with this idea?
So reader workers together with Akechi in both the metaverse and detective work and since she works with Akechi and goes on tv with him a bunch of his fans ship them together and Akechi actually has a big crush on her but she doesn't have a crush on him because she's also part of the thieves and has a crush on Joker so Akechi is super jealous of Joker because Akechi can see how much reader likes Joker, she works at crossroads and is friends with Ohya and also works through Shido too and Shido also sees her like a daughter and doesn't know that she's joined the thieves in Kaneshiro's palace.
She joined in Kaneshiro's palace because Kaneshiro is actually her dad and figure out he had a daughter after he hired a hitman to kill reader's mom because she used to be one of the girls he used to have around him but reader didn't know how bad he was until she heard from Ohya that Joker was looking into Kaneshiro so she went and talked to Joker and convinced him to let her join them in the metaverse and is surprised that she already has a metaverse outfit but she just is trust worthy so the thieves welcome her abord because she gets them into the palace, she also has 2 personas Aphrodite and Peresphone and because she has Aphrodite everyone thinks she is super beautiful and she;s also super powerful because she has two personas she can use at the same time. She also inheirates also all of Kaneshiro's wealth after Kaneshiro changes his heart so she can also pay for all the things that the thieves want which makes them trust her even more. Also Haru has a crush on her because reader saved her dad by pleading with Akechi to not kill him so Okumara has a change of heart actually.
When Akechi joins he gets even more jealous of Joker because reader and Joker are really close and she's basically Joker's right hand woman and helps with all the plans and Joker notices how jealous is Akechi but he doesn't say anything because reader already told them all about Akechi's plan to kill Joker because she doesn't want to betray the thieves and she ends up pleading with Akechi to not kill Joker so when Akechi comes in in the interrogation room he doesn't shoot Joker but actually helps him out because he just wants to help reader that much and reader vouches for him so that the theives don't hate him then they start working on Shido's palace and reader helps them get in and gets them all the letters that they need because Shido sees her like a daughter so she just has to ask. Then when Yaldobath takes over she helps Joker get everyone out of the velvet room because Yaldobath didn't break her spirit and then in the final battle reader gets a third persona who is Nyx and she and Satanael take down Yaldobath together and every one is saved.
How do you think the thieves would think of her?? Would any of them have crushes on her other than Akechi and Joker? 🥺 I would like a oneshot but headcanons are also ok I love your writing!! I'M SO SORRY THIS IS SO LONG THANK YOU 😊
I know you wanted a one shot, but your ask seems to be requesting a big ol' rewrite of the entire p5 plot, which, even without Royal's additions, is a massive game. So, I instead encourage you to write out your own fic! I'm sure it'll be quite the fun read if you do!
As for the ask, I feel like you're lowkey asking for an OC ask, but I can't be sure if you just want a really specific reader, or if you have an OC with this story. So, I just took your ending question and am gonna just do some headcanons or thoughts off of it.
Now, this isn't meant to be 'mean' or anything personal, I'm just taking from what I know of the canon personalities. Which, I admit is probably not completely accurate, but I tried my best. I also can't go through all of the confidants bc I know NOTHING of them, but ye! I hope this makes you happy, and if this was meant to be a big one shot request with an oc, I don't take OC asks. Tho, I do encourage you to have fun and try your hand at writing it for yourself in that case!
Akira: Akira's the hardest to guestimate a personality from. I know for a fact that Akira would be confused and lost at a reader with two different persona, but In canon, he's left kinda blank so that the player can choose the options they like and basically paint him however they want, so beyond that shock, I don't know. But in my head, Akira's a very friendly person when you give him a chance, but isn't trusting. He's been backstabbed by the law system, he's not a very trusting person. So, I do think Akira'd hang onto a shred of suspicion for the reader if they had a metaverse outfit already without a story like Akechi had. And even then, I don't think the thieves exactly trusted Akechi despite needing to work with him. So the reader would fall into a same issue for a good while. It'd be slow going. Especially for being a target's kid while being so eager to help.
Akechi: I. Know very little of Akechi's in-game personality, but from what I know from my boyfriend who's played the game a lot, he's even less social and approachable than Akira. So, outside of using them and maintaining power, Akechi doesn't like anybody. He doesn't like Akira, he doesn't like the thieves, he arguably likes Sae? But he doesn't seem to gt close to anyone since his goal is to take down shido no matter the cost. As for the multiple persona, Akechi would hate the reader like he hates Akira for that. Akira's already a threat to his self esteem as a person, but at least Akechi would feel he has the upper hand with loki. Another person with multiple personas would anger him further.
Yusuke: Yusuke is the first one that would have a reaction beyond shock or rage at a reader with two personas. He'd likely be confused, but his initial reaction would probably be in admiring their beauty and form, likely wanting to draw them. Beyond that, he'd probably go off of Morgana and Akira's judgement for that reveal. He'd likely play devil's advocate for the reader, but they've got a lot of explaining to do. As a person though, so long as the reader is pretty, Yusuke's not going to be an asshole. He's a rather nice guy, if a bit awkward, so he'd be easy to befriend, especially if you let him draw you. Of all the people in the thieves, Yusuke would be one that is likely to crush on the reader if they're artistically appealing at all.
Ryuji: Unlike Yusuke, Ryuji'd be a bit hostile and distrusting from the start. A stray persona user with an outfit already and two different persona? That's a little suspect. However, unlike Akira, Ryuji'd be easier to convince. He's easy going, so with a good enough explanation, he'd be okay with the reader. As for if he'd crush on a reader, maybe. He might crush a bit at the start like he did with Ann, but as time goes on and the reader works more with them, They'd probably go the route of Ann too. Be seen too much as a baby sister or brother, not a romantic option. Plus, he wants to know how you get multiple persona, so he's gonna want to know.
Ann: The reader being a girl would help a lot with befriending Ann. She'd be a little suspiscious, and shocked to find out the reader has multiple persona and is their target's kid, but otherwise she's pretty nice, she'd give the benefit of the doubt. I don't know a lot of Ann's in-game personality, so I can't really go in-depth, but she'd in general try to give the reader the benefit of the doubt and be the first to extend some trust to them.
Morgana: Morgana is admittedly far worse than Akira on the not trusting angle of things with the reader. Not exactly because of them having a costume and awakening so randomly, but moreso because of the dual persona. That's a wildcard-specific thing, normal users do not have more than one persona in his knowledge, so them having more than one would put him firmly on edge. He'd be not very nice to the reader with the whole context of their person. The odd awakening, the multiple persona, and her being their target's kid? I++t would just rub him the wrong way.
Makoto: Makoto would be SO suspicious of a user just wandering around like you. She'd downright interrogate the reader on their awakening and motives, why they have two persona, all of it. She wouldn't quite be astounded or upset at you having more than one persona, Akira has one, so it's not unreasonable. her biggest concern is the reader's connection to Kaneshiro and her help being a trap, not the personas.
Futaba: Taba would be super interested in reader-chan when they meet! Two persona? Yet you're not like Akira at all? She'd definitely hack into the metaverse to investigate. Since she comes after Kaneshiro, she wouldn't really have the instant distrust the others would get. So, she'd be easier to befriend then the others. Though, the reader being Kaneshiro's daughter would be a little sketchy to her, just because Kaneshiro is sketchy.
Haru: Kaneshiro being the reader's dad would actually win some points with Haru. Not that it isn't sketchy and a bit odd, but she's got her own daddy issues. Granted, hers isn't a sleazy, womanizing pimp, but still, there's something to bond over. This would slightly win the reader a benefit of the doubt on their lack of an awakening, especially since Haru's own awakening was odd. She has no stance on the persona though, unable to choose if that's a bad sign or not, but she'd likely go off of Morgana's vibes about it, so she'd keep an eye on the reader. But! She'd also gladly be friends with her as well, maybe just date a little, y'know?
All around, the group would be fairly suspicious and unnerved by the reader and her connections and oddities, but most would give her a chance, and her standing with them is very open to change as time goes on, so I can't say anyone, except maybe Akech's insecure ass, would outright hate reader-chan.

My Persona 5 phantom thieves AU:
BEN Drowned/Grim Reaper
Lost Silver/Ghost
Glitchy Red/Phoenix
Dark Link/Dark Warrior
Sonic.Exe/Lion
Tails Doll/Tiger
Strangled Red/Dragon
Herobrine/Diamond
Feel free to correct me QwQ
Oooooo, I'm always down for Gamingpastas and Persona!
Hmm, I don't mean to correct you, I'm just gonna give my two cents if you don't mind -w-
First off, I wouldn't personally wanna include Brine into the group and if it had to be 8, then just think of another to use, because while I obviously love Dadbrine, he is more of an op dad figure than a part of a group like Phantom Thieves. He's more of a Sojiro or Dojima, a fatherly supporting role.
Next, I get that Fox is maybe already taken, so idk for sure for Tails Doll and Exe, but they do slightly fit.
And also I don't think Grim Reaper fits Ben it has something too evil and cruel feeling, given Ben is more of a sweet pacifist than people let on. My first idea was that maybe since the leaders or a certain other character *coughs* Akechi my beloved *cough cough* are more based on literature or games or alike, I thought maybe something like "Peter Pan", considering Link from OoT or MM is based on Peter Pan and story beats can apply to Ben too.
However for Glitchy and Silver I would maybe switch. Because the name Ghost makes me think of the purple bug ghost from Pokemon and that was Gen 1, so fits more to Glitchy and Phoenix makes me think of Ho-Ho from Gen 2. Tho tbf, that can also go to Moltres. So another idea I had for Silver is maybe Hinezumi, Hinezumi is the fire rat from Japanese Mythology and there is some theorizing or hints that Cyndaguil and it's evolution lineage is based on it. Plus it's a mostly white rat/mouse with red spots/eyes. (Tho ngl, this makes me wanna have Ben be like Princess Kaguya or the Moon Rabbit, because Hinezumi is most likely known from the Princess Kaguya tale, and I can't stop my ship fuel or connections-) (I also considered maybe Silver's palast could be like Futaba's, cause the Unowns are meant to resemble Hieroglyphs, and where do you find Hieroglyphs? In pyramids.)
Again, I don't mean to say my ideas are necessarily better, these are my two cents on it all, I still love this idea, gives me some drawing inspirations, once I get to drawing and through my projects hehehehe

11, 29, 52, 56, 92, 93, 112, 132, 141, 177, 182 (ik it’s a lot but you said you were bored sooo)
11- Have you ever dyed your hair?
Once, when I was 15 (and trying to exert some control over my life shortly after my gender crisis), I dyed a couple of purple streaks in my hair. My dad was livid. I looked pretty cool, though. Maybe I'll do it again someday!
29- What would you say is your best quality?
I'm good with people. I'm outgoing, and I'm good at reading others and figuring out the perfect things to say to make them happy or make them like me. It's taking off the mask that's the difficult part...
52- Ever broken any bones?
Several! I was always an active child, and some would say "reckless." And even when I was older, there was a time a few years ago when I fell from my horse and hurt my toe. Thankfully, I haven't broken anything since then.
56- What are three things most people don’t know about you?
There are so many things that most people don't know about me. Even basic tenets of my personality: I'm spiteful, I'm quite calculating, and I have an absolutely filthy mind.
92- Say 7 facts about your childhood:
I have a confusing family tree. Aside from my father and stepmother, I grew up with my half-sister and then my stepmother's nephew who was taken in by her and my dad when I was little. To say nothing of the fact that my maternal aunt and my dad have always hated each other, or the fact that they're second cousins...
I said it before, but I was a very active child. I would run around outside a lot, getting into scrapes and mischief. It drove my dad up the wall. Which was kind of the point, sometimes. After all...
My dad was fairly neglectful, emotionally. I was always taken care of, but it was by tutors and nannies and au pairs, not by my dad himself. I had a lot of things, but it was lonely.
Not completely lonely, though, because alongside those other people, I also had Alesdair when I was little! Since his dad worked for my dad, we got to be friends for several years as children (until his dad died and he moved away when I was 8). He was always patient and kind to me, and he was my first true friend.
My second true friend, of course, was Leon when he came along. I was loud and a little too bossy, but somehow we were thicker than thieves for the first several years together. We drifted apart, eventually--and to this day, I'm not entirely sure why--but I'll always treasure those early memories.
Leon moved out to start college when he was only 14, and ever since then, my sister would go to live with him during winter where the cold wasn't as severe. So ever since I was 15, the house got so much lonelier and more oppressive.
Even so, I was spoiled rotten, and I did many activities during my childhood. I've learned fencing, ballroom dancing, chess, and horseback riding. My tutors tried to teach me French and Korean, too (since my dad's company deals with France a lot, and also my dad is half-Korean) but I am positively hopeless with languages.
93- The best and the worst childhood memories:
The best: I can't settle on one. Just one of those idyllic summer days, playing with Alesdair and Leon and baby Gemma outside, before everything went to shit.
The worst: When Leon moved out. He'd been distant from me for years before that, but that was when it really sank in that it would stay that way. (Or so I thought--we've started becoming close again lately~)
112- Who was your first kiss with?
I haven't had my first kiss yet. I refuse to count when that creep planted one on me without consent. That was an attack, and it was about power. It wasn't a real kiss. My real first kiss, when it happens, will be ultra-romantic.
132- Do you think someone has feelings for you?
Yes and no. Since I'm lowkey a public figure (or at least, I was), people have definitely had shallow attractions toward me for my looks. But as far as people who actually know me? And those people having feelings for me? Don't make me laugh. Nobody who knows the actual me could possibly have real feelings for me.
141- Is there a boy/girl who you would do absolutely everything for?
Leon and Gemma, full stop. Though I suspect that's not the kind of answer this question was looking for~
177- Do you like to dance?
Yes! Like I said, I took ballroom dance lessons as a kid, and I really enjoyed them. Leon took them along with me, which always made it fun. He was quite clumsy--and I don't think our teacher or Dad was happy that I insisted on leading--but I had a blast. I still enjoy dancing, even though I haven't had many opportunities for formal dancing since I was kicked out.
182- Put your music player on shuffle and write the first ten songs that play:
Sure thing! Enjoy my chaotic music taste:
Ignorance--Paramore
2. Rät--LittleJayneyCakes
3. The Village--Wrabel
4. Dream Boy--Jack Jupiter
5. Grace Kelly--Mika
6. You Need to Calm Down--Taylor Swift
7. Portrait of a Girl--Bare: A Pop Opera
8. Better Luck Next Time--We Are the In Crowd
9. Lilith--Halsey
10. Just Like You--Three Days Grace
.
Thanks again xoxo~

Not going anywhere | Lucifer Morningstar x reader
Fandom: Lucifer
Request:” Hi i have request for you ,Lucifer and the reader have a big fight they are married, and this fight it's lucifer fault The reader leaves home and Lucifer decides to give her space After a few days, he goes to the reader and realizes that she has been missing for a few days,When the person behind all this claims that the reader is dead and gives them a her body . Everyone thinks that the reader is dead and Lucifer He gets depressed and thinks it's all his fault , and after a few days, the thieves release the singer and the reader goes to Lucifer.Lucifer first thinks it is an imagination and then apologizes to the reader Thank you so much”
Genre: Angst with happy ending
Warnings: kidnapping, death
~~~
Your intention had never been to start a fight. All you wanted an explanation (preferably one that also made sense) and an apology, but apparently that was too much to ask, because as soon as you voiced your opinion, Lucifer went up in flames
“Don’t start this again!”
“I dislike it just as much as you do but what I hate more is being cancelled on, AGAIN, through a text message no less!”
“It was an emergency!”
“It’s always an emergency Lucifer! It’s starting to sound a lot like work means more to you than I do!” “The detective needs me, damn it!” your husband yelled
“And she has you! Every day of every week! All I ask for is one date night and for the past month you’ve done nothing but avoid committing to one or backing out at the last second! I’m tired of being your second choice Lucifer! I’m your wife and you are my husband, I love you to the ends of the world, I just wish you'd say no to Decker from time to time...”
“I’m saving people’s lives Y/N. So if you’re not on your deathbed, other people are and they need me now!” as he said this, Lucifer walked right past you and into your bedroom, seemingly ignorant to the painful words he’d just said. You looked around the living room, vision blurry with tears, your chest heavy with anger and disgust. You rushed towards the elevator.
“When you find time in your busy schedule and feel like being my spouse again, let me know!” the elevator door closed before Lucifer could say anything
~~~
When Lucifer woke up the next morning to a cold and empty bed, he didn’t think much of it.Truthfully, he was still kind of pissed at the attitude you had given him a day before, so he got dressed as usual and went to the precinct, assuming you’ll be home by nightfall.
Except when he got home that night, he stopped by Lux first, which ended up like it always does: with him sucked into an endless cycle of booze and dancing, that lasted until well into the night. When he did enter the penthouse eventually, he found it empty. Exactly the way he had left it in the morning. Even the tie he had left on the floor, after deciding last minute that it didn’t go with his suit, was untouched. Now this was curious, but still, Lucifer felt like you must be playing hard to get. He sent you one text message, before going to bed
“Call me when you can!”
The day after that, he figured his part was done! By reaching out first, he had already made a big compromise, so now it was your turn! To reach out, come home! But that didn’t happen that day, or the day after that.
Three days after the text message,Lucifer was getting worried. He was looking at his phone every other minute. Always making sure he hadn’t accidently put it on silent or missed any texts. He sent more messages, telling you he was sorry and that he wanted you to come home. That he would listen and spend more time with you, promising luxurious dates and weekend trips, if only you forgave him. You didn’t even open the messages.
“Lucifer are you listening?” Decker was insanely annoyed at her partner’s lack of concentration
“Sorry detective. I’ve...I’ve got a lot on my mind”
“Well, better get it out of the way now, so that we can move on to our case!” she said, cleaning out her desk quickly, before resting back into her chair “Talk to me!”
“It’s Y/N. I’m worried about her!”
“Why?” “We...had a fight a couple days ago and she left. She hasn’t come back since”
“Have you heard from her at all?”
“No…” Lucifer said, embarrassed at his own lack of care for you. He should have called you earlier, reached out more! He should have tried harder!
“How long had she been missing for?”
“4...maybe 5 days…”
“Lucifer, are you sane? And you’re only telling me now?!” Chloe jumped from her seat, turning on her computer
“I thought she needed space! I thought she was avoiding me intentionally cause she was angry! I didn’t know…” Lucifer choked back a sob, not wanting to break down in tears in the middle of the precinct
“Lucifer!” Chloe caught hold of his hand “I’m gonna find her! I promise you!” A few days later, she did. Well, more like Y/n came to her, in the shape of a pretty little gift box left on Decker's doorstep.
“A lil too late on your case detective” read the note attached to it.
Inside were Y/N’s clothes, all of them stained with dark, dried blood. Y/N was declared dead that day and the case was closed. At her funeral, only her closests friends were present. Lucifer wanted it to be as intimate as possible.
That day was also the first time anyone had seen Lucifer, since the news. His eyes were bloodshot and the dark circles under his eyes almost matched the black suit he was wearing. Throughout the ceremony he kept twisting his wedding band, a habit he’d picked up on since you went missing. He chose not to do a speech, but once the crowd disappeared, and he was left face to face with your grave, he pulled out a little piece of paper from his pocket and sat down on the grass.
“In hell, everyone feared me. There, I was nothing but another server of the universe, ruling over an empire I never really wanted, because I never had a choice. So eventually I left, thinking anywhere will be better than what I had, and I came to earth.
I ran into you about 2 weeks later, before I really even knew how to behave myself. Before I knew anything about who I really was besides ‘the devil’. I longed to know, grow and discovers different sides of me, where I could be something new, and you gave it to me. You made me who I never thought I could possibly be. You made me a lover. I never thought of myself as capable to love anyone, in any degree, but your light shone everywhere you went and your kindness touched me and everyone around you. It became impossible to not get infatuated with your person. I allowed you to see and feel around every dark corner of my soul and being and every time I thought it was the end. Everytime I would take in your touch as if it was the last, I would prepare myself for abandonment, but it never came. Through everything you stood by my side and when I felt my darkest, you gave me a fistful of your light and that was enough to keep me going. You married a broken man and called him perfect, despite everyone telling you how much of a foul you were. Even then, you shooed them away. Even then you chose me. I wasn’t worthy of your love or your trust and our last night together proved it.
You’re not here anymore to hear my apologies and I’ll never forgive myself for it. You’ve gone now somewhere I can not follow, but I know you are well taken care of there. I hope, someway, somehow, you’ll hear these words: I am sorry. I loved you with my entire soul. Not listening to you was the biggest mistake of my life and I’ll never forgive myself. I choose however, to remember you as you were, because I know that’s what you’d want. I’ll remember you and your laugh.I’ll remember our date nights and shopping sprees. Nights in Lux or on the penthouse balcony. I’ll remember all the meals you prepared for me and the flirtatious remarks you used to make, because you thought they were so silly. I’ll remember the little frown on your face whenever you worked on an important project for work and I’ll remember every evening walk around the block you’d make me accompany you on. I know I always complained about them, but they were always fun. Everything I ever did with you was always fun.
I loved you. I still do. You are my everything Y/N. Thank you for devoting yourself to me in all the ways that you did. I’ll forever live on in my heart.“
~~~
It had been months since your disappearance. After all this time, you finally managed to escape your kidnappers and report them to the New York police station, since that’s where you had been held hostage for so long. As soon as the paperwork was done and you were sure that the people who ruined you were getting the punishment they deserved, you jumped on a train and headed straight back home. Straight to Lucifer.
Lux looked exactly the same as you had left it. You were washed over by a wave of comfort that almost brought you to tears. Home. You never thought you’d get to step in here again. Overwhelmed, you took a seat on one of the couches, allowing your head to rest back on it, as you took in every detail of your surroundings: the feel of the leather on your fingertips, the cool breeze of the air conditioning, the warm lights. Everything was still here.
“Y/N?” you jumped at the sound
“Hi love…” your voice broke as you said those words. Words you never thought you would be able to mutter again. The sight of your husband, messy as he was, made you weak in the knees. He was standing at the top of the staircase, dressed in nothing but his robe, tied carelessly around his waist. He had probably just woken up. You wanted to say something again, but before you could, he laughed
“Nope” he said simply, before making his way down the stairs and to the bar “I’m not doing this. Not today, not ever!” Lucifer filled his glass to the top with bourbon, before turning around and trying to leave back to where he came from
“Lucifer, it's me!”
“Sure you are, except you’re not real! Nice of dad, taking my ability to stay endlessly sober, getting me drunk, forcing visions of my dead wife onto me to teach me another lesson about managing my emotions. Real clever, except this is too much! So I’m going to enter that elevator and I expect to never have to see you again, hum? Right, well, au revoir now!” he continued on his way, but before he could get far, you were clutching on the silk tie of his robe. Lucifer felt the tug around his waist and turned around slowly to look at you, this time a little more unsure. As if he was trying to figure you out
“Lucifer, I’m Y/N. I escaped”
“Escaped? But that’s impossible, she died! I saw it-”
“What you saw was a bloody shirt!” he looked up to meet your gaze, tears already forming “They lied to you Lucifer”
Finally, it seemed like he had connected all of the pieces of the puzzle. The glass of alcohol fell to the ground and your husband wrapped you in a big hug for the first time in months. He nuzzled his head in your hair and took in your scent, your figure, your warmth. Hell, you were even more perfect that he remembered! Silent tears fell down both of your cheeks as you collapsed to the ground, still holding onto each other for dear life
“I’m so sorry” Lucifer sobbed in your hair “I’m so so sorry”
“It wasn’t your fault Luci”
“If I hadn’t been a jerk you wouldn’t have left! If I would have simply listened to you, they wouldn’t have gotten to you! You would’ve stayed here, where you belong! You would have stayed with me but instead I was too busy with my stupid job and the stupid cases and I’m sorry! I’m sorry I’m sorry I’m sorry” he continued crying on your shoulder as you rubbed small circles on his back
“I’m here now my love” you whispered, kissing his cheek “And I’m not going anywhere”
Kaito as the detective and shin as the Kid (shrinking optional)
(Send me an AU and I’ll tell you five headcanons about it)
Robin, you‘ve talked about how the Phandom makes you write like you‘re possessed, and I‘m starting to get what you mean. Literally nothing in DCMK comes to me without it turning into A Monster. Anyways, roleswap Kaito and Shinichi!
Ok so the thing is this could actually work with canon backstories. Kaito’s whole thing is about honoring his dad and catching the guys who killed him, which translates fairly easily into detective work—particularly if he doesn’t know about the Kaitou Kid bit right away. Shinichi is……a bit harder, but he canonically rolls with the weirdest stuff. If you get the right setup, him being Kaitou KID isn’t that much of a stretch.
I know it’s headcanon time but shhhh this is an interesting premise and I have to figure out how we got here.
Ok, so Kaito doesn’t always pick up nuanced crime scene clues, but he reads people really really well. So when he accidentally runs into Jii, and the mention of his father comes up, Jii winces, pained, and Kaito goes “what do you know you absolutely know something and I won’t drop this” and doesn’t let Jii rest until Jii admits that Kuroba Toichi was murdered. Boom, off we go. Nakamori Ginzo half-raised him ever since Toichi died, so it’s a reasonable jump to go straight into detective work. Kaito can’t always read a crime scene, and frankly, the bodies are unsettling to the point of nausea, but he sure can read everyone’s reactions to the body, and, well, some people are only pretending to grieve. What does this madlad do? Does he teach himself to carefully examine all evidence for clues? Well, yes, but that comes later. Right now, he jumps straight into impersonating the deceased’s voice and mannerisms and accusing everyone and, well, people do tend to have nervous breakdowns and confessions when suddenly confronted with their victim’s ghost. Good, Kaito thinks, remembering how much he’s mourned his father. They deserve it.
Off he goes. He’ll get more and more relevant information over time, but that’s about as slow-burn as canon. Meanwhile, he’s making a name for himself as a medium for the dead.
Meanwhile Shinichi’s come across the reports of Kuroba Toichi’s death, and, well, this is definitely a cover up. A few too-close runs later, he realizes it was a cover up from inside the legal system, and that those people are still very much in power. He has a crisis for all of like two days before realizing that Sherlock Holmes took a legally “flexible” approach to confronting in-house corruption, and, well, if Sherlock Holmes can do it then he can too. Sufficient off-the-record digging, plus talking with his dad (who is also, ah, legally flexible), brings up the whole Kaitou Kid thing and look, playing Kaitou Kid was supposed to be a one-time thing to bait people out of the woodwork, but one thing led to another, and here Shinichi is, moonlighting as a dead thief.
Shinichi isn’t more than competent at magic tricks, but he has a few things in his favor here. 1) both Agasa and Jii are helping him, and their team up is a force to behold. Jii keeps the ideas practical, and Agasa makes the ideas work. 2) Shinichi’s dad absolutely knew the last Kaitou Kid inside out, and he’s giving Shinichi helpful pointers. 3) Shinichi may not be good at doing magic, but he’s absolutely incredible at reading and anticipating the police, having a flawless alibi, and leaving no evidence on-scene. Plus, he’s still working his “day job” as a detective, so he also gets stupidly easy access to department gossip, security layouts, and other classified information.
Headcanon time!
Kaito has his beginning of canon meltdown of “EXCUSE ME, this thief is claiming to be the best magician around and he’s WRONG because my DAD was the best.” This is even more vehement because his dad is a more painful topic overall, given that he was murdered. That said, he’s not going to give this thief the time of day because he’s got more important things to do, like catch the murderers. However, Shinichi-in-disguise is casing a building when someone gets murdered there, and Kaito’s like “what is up with this guy.” Shinichi does pause and lend a hand when Kaito gets stuck, because murder is murder no matter what face he’s wearing. After the case is solved, Kaito’s trying to figure out who on earth this is when he realizes it’s Kaitou Kid. But the guy did just help solve a murder. And when he snarls that his father was the better magician, Kaitou Kid just bows his head and agrees. So Kaito has no idea what to make of this dude. Meanwhile Shinichi’s inner dialogue is just “it’s Toichi’s kid, does he know—NOPE HE SURE DOESN’T, UH, WHAT DO I DO??!”
Kaitou Kid respecting Toichi and admiring Kaito’s magic is a recurring thing, much to Kaito’s bemusement. Like. He can tell that it’s genuine, not a way to throw him off guard, although it’s sure doing that, too. One time Kaitou Kid pauses a heist to help with a case, which leads to Kid almost getting caught. Kaito’s still got a lot of complicated feelings around Kid, but it’s not fair that Kid’s getting arrested just because he had the decency to help stop a murderer. So Kaito covers for Kid with a rather good magic trick that “Kid” performs. Kid escapes, but not before giving Kaito the strangest layered look Kaito’s ever seen. He doesn’t even know what was in all those layers, just that there was a lot of grief and that there were upwards of ten layers in there.
Kaito and Shinichi catch onto each other faster than in canon. This is mainly because their weak spots are more obvious to an expert—Kaito’s definitely not talking to ghosts to solve cases, thinks Shinichi the Savior of the Police Force, and Kid’s definitely got a hidden agenda that’s only almost perfectly covered up, thinks Kaito the Undisputed Expert of Poker Face. Kaito has a very rough go of things when he finds out in rapid succession that 1) Kid’s trying to hunt down murderers via a system that might actually be stranger than talking to “ghosts,” 2) Kid’s looking for who killed Kuroba Toichi specifically, and 3) Kuroba Toichi was actually the original Kid. After that, Kid being a teenage detective is just—whatever. Sure. Why not.
There’s a huge police betting pool on what will happen when Kudou “everything has a rational explanation” Shinichi, and Kuroba “I literally talk to ghosts” Kaito meet. Everyone’s sure there will be conflict—people are just trying to work out how it will go down. Turns out that they get on like a house on fire, but to everyone’s great surprise, the houses they set on fire are all criminals, and they don’t try to set each other’s houses on fire at all. Except for Megure. Megure makes bank.
Turns out that when you have two detectives and two phantom thieves on hand, things get done with furious efficiency. Kaito and Shinichi take turns being Kaitou Kid, depending on whose skill set is most useful. Kaito’s better at dodging bullets and at doing insane magic. Shinichi’s better at forcing the snipers to reveal themselves and at getting the police to notice exactly the right things about the snipers. On a detective front, half the Organization’s convinced that 1) their dead victims are actively sabotaging them and 2) if their victims don’t get them, Kudou Shinichi certainly will.
Honestly, from an outside POV, the back third of this series would just be “there are GHOSTS and we are going to DIE and also reality is bending anytime Kaitou Kid shows up—“
RIP to all the undercover agents in the Organization. They’re about to have a Ride.
Hi so can I request for a Basilio and/or Crispin x reader please? Like maybe how they met or something, platonic or romantic, either is fine. Thanks!
Tumblr media
gif credits (@overlordofawesomeness) see their post here
how they met you headcanons: crispin, basilio (trese)
a/n: no specific ethnicity for the reader, but it is mostly assumed that the reader is of pinoy descent; I hope you all enjoy this, pls don't hesitate to add more! <3
crispin
okay so i imagine that mr. more-serious-than-his-younger-brother crispin has not really grown up to be a hopeless romantic
didn’t date, didn’t think that love is real (“it’s cheesy”/“baduy naman”), so finding his one true love hit him like a ton of bricks
sees you for the first time while working on a case with bossing, you live next to the house of the victims
really found you cute, but he didn’t get the chance to approach you because you had slammed the gates closed in front of him
he sees you again completely by accident during another case, and crispin was so surprised and thankful
he keeps trying to make eye contact with you, while you are trying not to make eye contact with the tall, muscular man who is wearing a dark suit
he finally asks you out, and you at first freak out, somehow convinced that this man is a part of a gang or is some scary rich dude who is the future ceo of his dad’s company or something
to your surprise, he picks you up (still dressed in a suit) but brings you to a small family restaurant--almost a carenderia
it is so amusing to find him so overdressed during the date, but it is a nice dinner and you two have fun talking and getting to know each other
he is so cute when asking if you wanted to hang out again, and when you say yes, he smiles so brightly
you get streetfood the next time you hang out!
at this point, crispin kinda already knows about your life story, but you still dont know his
he seems to be a little closed off about the topic, but you dont push him
crispin is gone from time to time, only texting you sporadically, but you dont question it even though you are curious, because you trust him and you may be just a tiny lil bit infatuated
when he does tell you everything about him, he prefaces it so seriously and grimly that you think he will say he doesn't want to see you anymore
instead, he sullenly tells you about his life, ending with an apology for not telling you sooner
"i was just so scared you would run away"
you tell him that you wont run away and surprise him when you throw your arms around him and kiss him
he is honestly so whipped for you oh my god
if crispin is free, he will always drop you off and pick you up from school/work
he brings you to meet his family, basilio, alexandra, hank
they accept you as part of the family, and you immerse yourself in their library, reading up information about their lives
whenever they finish a case, you would be there, having cooked nice, warm meals for them
crispin would come up behind you and wrap his arms around your waist, resting his chin on your shoulder
he would whisper, "thank you for taking care of us" and presses kisses on your cheek down to your neck
you dont go out with them on a case, even if you want to (you and crispin fight over this, but he simply insists that he cannot lose you or even see you hurt)
he keeps his words of affirmation and affections as private as possible
basilio and hank tease him a lot if he tries to show any affection towards you with them present, and it bothers him at first
but you just laugh it off, ignoring the "uyyy" and other teasing remarks
basilio laughs when he sees his twin relaxing against you on the couch, crispin's head laid on your lap, "who's cheesy now?"
to this, crispin laughs before looking up at you and kissing your hand
he whispers "i love you against your skin"
i would say that compared to basilio and his s/o's relationship, your relationship with crispin is a lot more serious, more mature
kinda have the husband-and-wife vibe even though you aren't married yet (but you both know that this will happen eventually)
crispin knows that you are the one, and is hell bent on keeping you happy and safe
secretly looks up "perfect proposal ideas" when he realizes one night just how much he loves you
always has you in his arms when you're asleep, the sound of your heartbeat, and the feeling of your breath against his skin reminding him just what he is fighting and living for
he is fighting and living for you, and the future you two are going to share
basilio
the younger and more mischievous of the two, it didn't surprise everyone that basilio is the last person to realize his love for you
he met you shortly after being adopted by carlos trese, you were a family friend and possibly another babaylan from another city/province
came to the treses for a visit and was surprised to see new members of the family
you bonded with the twins almost instantaneously, becoming best friends with them
although everyone could see that you were closer to basilio than you were to crispin, mostly because of basilio's more laid back personality
absolutely thick as thieves with him, to a point where crispin would sulk and complain that you were stealing his lil brother from him
you would all play games until you were downright exhausted, from playing house, hide-and-seek, patintero (you try not to play catch with them bc you know they're gonna use their powers anyway) and the sad days were when you had to leave
you once had a tantrum as you clung to basilio, begging him to hide you from your parents so that they wouldn't bring you home
crispin and Alexandra had to pry you away from him, and he didn't talk to them for like 2 days after you left
as you two grew older, the games lessened and you focused more on training and battle strategies
but the closeness never left
you also kinda know that basilio cares for you, and to be honest, you wouldn't say no if he ever asks you out, but he never did and that's ok
outside of his family, you are his best friend and he loves you just as much as he loves his brother and sister
but it was obvious to alexandra and crispin that when you got older, something changed in the way basilio looked at you
he kinda looks at you just a little bit longer than usual, simple touches linger here and there, the slight overprotectiveness, the little acts of love
he brings you food ("we stopped by the carenderia and they had your favorite ulam")
brings you flowers ("where did you find these arabian jasmines/sampaguita?" basilio shrugs, "bought them on the way home." "he plucked them from aling josie's garden," Alexandra tells you as she walks past the two of you)
crispin tries to tell basilio that he should definitely ask you out, because it's so clearly obvious that you both like each other, but basilio tries to deny it
"torete ka bro, please just go ahead and tell her how you feel"
and basilio kinda sits on the idea, like literally has an existential crisis trying to figure out if he loves you romantically or just platonically
so he tries to imagine his future
he doesn't think much of it, thinking that this world is going to consume him long before he would have the chance to build a life anyway, but amidst the thought of death, he sees something
just a flash of light and sounds of laughter
it's you, carrying a young girl as you smile at him, standing just in front of the gate
and basilio thinks, that's such a nice vision, coming home to you
whenever he thinks of possibly settling down and having a family, it has always been with you
it has always been with you since you were kids, and now it's still you
so when he tells you he loves you during the most inappropriate time (fighting off aswang kidnappers), you grin at him and yell "I love you too!" back
and he removes his mask for a second before clarifying, "no y/n, I am in love with you!"
you grin at him again before exclaiming, "I know! i loved you since we were like 10"
after the fight, he doesn't hesitate to bring you into his arms and kiss you
you kissed his cheek when you were kissed, absolutely out of curiosity, and you were both like "ewww that's gross" but now it's not
it was perfect, like it was meant to be
unlike crispin and his s/o, you two are pretty chill about your relationship, kinda lowkey with it too
you don't talk about marriage (yet), and ppl who see you just think you two are either together, or just very best friends
you two are comfortable with each other and know each other from the inside out
the times where his cheerful personality changes is when it involves your safety, then he becomes so much like his brother, stoic and almost scary
will not ever compromise your safety over anything
basilio grew up with you, and now he plans to grow old with you
How about hcs for the Phantom Thieves finding out Ren's been found out as their leader by like 9 people (one of which is an elementary schooler). I imagine they'd be cool with Sojiro knowing cause he's the group dad (no I will not accept otherwise) but they would not be cool about some of the others (especially if they find out some of the shit he's had to do for them).
Ooh I’ve had ideas about this for a long time and I wanted to write a full fic about it but I probably won’t any time soon. The idea was gonna be post interrogation scene Ren is forcibly put on bed rest so all his confidants come over to help him and the other phantom thieves out instead of Ren having to go see them. This might be a longer post so I guess I’ll separate the bullet points based on each phantom thief?? Just so I don’t forget anyone.
Morgana doesn’t get reactions for obvious reasons. Also this kinda turned into which confidants they would get along with the most oops. Mishima is also not mentioned since they all know that he knows and runs the Phan-site
Ryuji
His “For real?!” gets louder every time someone new walks in the door
He doesn’t really think it’s a big deal that these people know. If Ren trusts them, then he trusts them.
He’s super impressed by Shinya and they actually get along really well since Ryuji’s still a kid at heart. Shinya thinks his dyed hair and attitude is cool. (CEOs of cuffing their pants so high it looks ridiculous).
Chihaya scams him out of his money so fast it makes his head spin. Ren makes her give it back but his ego takes a beating.
Politics bore him to tears, but he likes the sound of Yoshida’s voice and the way he really listens to young people. “It’s like he totally gets us ya know? You’re alright old man!”
He has a nice talk with Kawakami where she apologizes for treating him like a troublemaker just because of what the other teachers said about him.
Ann
She’s extremely surprised and a little embarrassed that all these people know about them. “Ugh you’re worse at keeping this a secret than Ryuji!”
She starts complimenting Takemi’s goth fashion immediately and is totally in love with her style
She gets along well with Ohya too. The worlds of modeling and journalism are far from strangers, so they have a lot to talk about.
She gets along surprisingly well with Hifumi considering they’re almost polar opposites. Hifumi briefly mentions that she likes sweets and Ann invites her out for crepes on the spot.
Yusuke
Yusuke is disappointed in Ren of course and tells him as much, but he gets distracted before he can finish scolding him.
He’s absolutely fascinated by Chihaya and her fortune telling. He doesn’t have any money for her to take but she gives him a free reading anyway because he just looked so excited she couldn’t say no.
Yusuke and Hifumi really hit it off once they start talking about the phantom thieves and end up becoming good friends. She’s his first friend he’s ever made at school.
He calls Iwai a true artist when he sees his skill at making model guns. He demands to witness the entire crafting and detail process from start to finish. Iwai sees another kid with no parents and immediately goes into dad mode.
Makoto
Makoto isn’t angry, but she sure as hell isn’t happy either. As the strategist, she immediately recognizes and connects the confidants with the mementos targets that were troubling them.
She turns to Ren immediately and just goes “What in the hell is wrong with you”
After she gets over scolding him for being so reckless, she actually finds herself enjoying the company of Yoshida and Ohya especially
She talks to Yoshida and Ohya about her father and the injustice in the political system.
Makoto is really great with kids and Shinya kinda flocks over to her at some point and asks a bunch of questions about her role in the phantom thieves. Shooter arcade games are actually the only games she’s ever played, so they talk about Gun About strategy a lot.
Futaba
“Okay I got given so much much shit for letting Sojiro find out and Ren was doing this the whole time?!! You guys suck!”
She brags about her gaming skills to Shinya of course and challenges him to a Gun About competition.
Takemi sees her and immediately starts ranting off about how she needs to take care of her health and how her vitamin D is deficient and how she should get tested for this this and this and-
Futaba zones out but the feeling of having an adult female figure care about her well-being makes her smile.
Kawakami hears about her shut in nature and commits to tutoring her on the exact subjects she’ll need to know for the high school entrance exam. (Futaba may be incredibly smart but we all know the bullshit high school asks us to learn about. She doesn’t learn stuff she doesn’t have an interest in.)
Haru
Like Ryuji, she puts her faith in Ren and decides to trust these people.
She absolutely ADORES Iwai and his model guns. She fawns over their design and tries to pick up all the heaviest ones. He’s extremely flustered and thrown off at first because she’s this 5’2 tiny girl wearing a fluffy pink sweater and is rambling off facts she knows about all these guns.
Even so, Iwai is a dad at heart. The second he finds out she’s an orphan he practically adopts her on the spot. Haru is happy to finally have a male figure in her life that she can feel safe with and look up to.
She’s too smart to fall for Chihaya’s traps but she indulges in the fortune telling anyway. Only as a subtle way to give her some money.
Did You Mean It?
Tumblr media
Pairing: Dad!Din Djnarin x GN foundling! Reader
Rating: G
Word Count:1,449
Summary: Din has been teaching you Mando'a and does not know how to react after you call him buir (father) for the first time.
Request: Heyyy, love your writing! Definitely not enough platonic mando fics out there. But I was just wondering if you were interested in making a tag list, if not that's fine I just don't want to miss anything you write! Also, if your still taking requests I was wondering if you would write a fic around the reader calling Din some form of dad for the first time. By accident or on purpose (like after Din teaches her the word buir) it doesn't matter to me. I'm just curious how Din would react lol!
A/N: Hey hey!! I’m fairly new to tumblr so I’ll do my best to do tag lists in the furure! Just let me know if you wanna join so I can write it down somewhere :)) (That was for the general public I’ll definitely mark your name down) I’ve seemed to have grown a habit for writing in Din’s perspective haha, but yes I do think that no matter how Din first hears the reader call him buir he’d still be like “...me?” I hope what I did was okay and you enjoyed it. And thanks so much for liking what I write!!!
Although you were not raised in Mandalorian culture, Din took it upon himself to teach you Mando’a. He first brought it up some time after his encounter with Bo Katan and the other Mandalorians. When he finally saw others of his kind, albeit reassuring, it reminded him that the effort it took to find them could only mean his people were slowly being wiped out. Din needed to hold onto his deteriorating culture, and hoped that you would take an interest in learning from it as a member of Clan Mudhorn. When he inquired about your interest in learning the language he did so thinking that you would probably be daunted by the challenge. He wouldn’t have been offended if you declined as he didn’t want to force you into something you had no interest in, but much to his surprise you were ecstatic about it!
It warmed Din’s heart to watch you fumble over syllables during your first lessons. He began with simple introduction phrases and vocabulary. Nothing too difficult but sufficient enough to help you progress. You were often praised for your efforts and encouraged to converse with Din for practice, which you did. He often corrected you on grammar mistakes and your pronunciation. One thing you hated was how he wouldn’t remind you of a word you’d forgotten during a conversation. He’d simply ignore your plea to remind him and continue his work, leaving you to try to remember the term by yourself.
After some time, you were capable of holding simple conversations. Nothing too complex, but enough for you to get by if there was ever the need for you to use it. On one occasion, it helped you avoid getting arrested.
Although it was not entirely your fault, it often sounded like it was the way Din told it. The Clan had taken the day off to visit a local market after a successful bounty to stock up on fresh supplies and eat a good meal. Din gave you several credits to spend on whatever you pleased while he went to run his errands. The day was particularly sunny. Shoppers wandered around Din, although he stuck out like a sore thumb amongst the civilians with his beskar. Curious eyes casted towards him but he paid no mind to them as he walked up to a vendor and greeted her with a nod.
“Can I buy a holopad around here?” He inquired, waiting for the vendor to return his change. She paused a moment, credits in separate hands as she thought a moment.
“Not too far off that road,” Din followed her gaze and thanked her, pocketing his change before making his way to the shop she’d pointed out to. In truth, he already had a holopad of his own but wanted to give one to you for your upcoming birthday. He approached the shop, pausing a moment to gaze at the door, before making a move to open it. Wait.
What was that?
Din slowly moved back and surveyed the area. He could have sworn he could have heard something familiar. He strained his ears to listen once more.
“Buir!”
Suddenly his attention was caught by your figure as you desperately ran towards him, almost tripping on your feet with Grogu clinging onto you in your arms. Behind you was a vendor tailing you, anger written over his expression. Din marched forward quickly, pushing you and Grogu behind him when the two of you were close enough and held a hand out as the vendor approached.
“What did you do?” He looked down at you, not waiting for an answer but rather looked at the vendor. He hunched over, hands on his knees while he caught his breath. “Can I help you?”
He inhaled sharply and straightened himself up after gathering his breath, gesturing at you. “Is this yours?”
“Can’t you see the resemblance?” Din’s voice was monotonous despite the sarcastic comment. You made a face at the man from your place behind Din. The man inhaled sharply at your expression, though Din chose to ignore your actions.
“Is there a problem here?” Din inquired, pushing you further behind his back so you wouldn’t upset the man even more.
“I caught them trying to steal some of my produce. I have half the mind to call the sheriff-”
“That’s not true!” You interjected, pushing yourself into view but Din was fast enough to push you back in your place.
“Y/N.” Din warned, “vaabir no ukoror bic. Tonaid was bic?”
You shifted uncomfortably in your stance, raising Grogu higher in your arms. “Grogu.”
“Kaysh hiibir mayen?”
“Nayc, he grabbed some things and I didn’t realize.”
Din understood now that you meant this was just a misunderstanding. He placed a firm hand on your shoulder and turned to the impatient vendor. “My foundling has a habit of grabbing anything he can get a hold of. He’s still a child. You can understand.”
At first the vendor was reluctant to leave, convinced that Din’s little clan members were nothing but no good thieves. He even insisted that Din paid reparations for what Grogu had taken, for he tried to eat some before you took it from his mouth. It took some convincing, and several credits, to make the vendor walk away satisfied.
“Well, that’s that.” Din sighed, shaking his head a little and tucked his hands onto his hips. He turned to the two of you, “C’mon, let’s get something for you two to eat.”
At the local cantina Grogu helped himself to a hearty bowl of soup while you ate your own favorite meal from there. Din simply sat back, checking his credits before placing the payment on the table so that he wouldn’t have to worry about it later. When he was done and his mind left wondering, he thought back to when he first heard you call for him in Mando’a.
Buir…
The term you used was one that a child would call its father. You called him father. He wondered if it came out naturally for you, or if you used it because you had to prove that you and Din had some sort of relation. That must have been the case. You’d only been a member of the clan for almost a year now. Seeing Din as a guardian should be natural, but a parental figure? Din wasn’t so sure. He had grown fond of having you around. As an older child you were a far better conversationalist than Grogu was and many times showed that you trusted Din. But still, Din wasn’t your father. He had to remind himself that sometimes. But still, he couldn’t stop wondering how you saw him as he watched you eat your meal.
“Did you mean it?” Din didn’t know where he found the courage to start speaking, but he didn’t stop himself.
“Hm?” You lifted your head, your dish in your hands as you were about to take a bite.
“You called me… buir.” The word sounded strange to call himself.
Your face lit up when you reminisced the incident. “Oh! I mean, yeah. I knew it was the only way to grab your attention. It was really crowded today.”
Din chuckled, “It worked.”
You couldn’t help but smile before taking another bite into your meal, smiling to yourself at its taste. It’d been awhile since the clan ate at a cantina. It’d been awhile that the kiddos had gone out actually. Why was it that every time they joined Din out into town trouble would occur? Din shook his head lightly, deeming that only he would have ended up with such troublemakers.
“But, it’s not like I don’t see you as one.”
You stared back at him, cocking your head to the side and giving him a small smile. Although you couldn’t see it, Din held a big smile underneath his helmet. For a moment he almost forgot that you couldn’t see his expression and collected himself as you waited for his response.
“I’m really proud of you, Y/N.” He beamed, turning to wipe some smudge off of Grogu’s face. “You’re a great kid.”
You grinned widely and a pleasant moment of silence falls upon you two despite the noisy environment. Din told the two of you to finish soon so that the group would return to the ship before nightfall. During the last moments of supper, you and Din conversed with each other in Mando’a to practice your pronunciation once again. At some moments you grazed through phrases you previously struggled on, though you did not realize it Din certainly did, and it made him even more proud of how you’d grown.
I just read the newest chapter and I loved it! ♥ ♥ ♥ I was wondering if you had some hcs about the engineer that you could share?
Awww I'm glad you like it! I just spent 5 minutes trying to figure out what "HCS" meant before realizing I'm a tired idiot who can't read lol
But yeah! I got some headcanons for the engineer/Spirits I can share!
These headcanons are a mix of things I generally believe for any iteration of the Hero of Spirits and a few things exclusive to CTB. It's pretty obvious which are which.
Technically this is slight spoilers since most of this is not mentioned in-story, but Warriors is a such a self-centered asshole that I'm not sure when I can get him to explicitly ask about Spirit's backstory lol
This got super long and kind of just became me talking about Spirits's entire backstory, so enjoy:
Spirits is sixteen during the course of Spirit Tracks, mostly because that was the vibe I got from him when I first played the game (I made him younger for CTB)
He's not descendant from Wind (who I maintain disappeared instead of settling in New Hyrule); instead, he's Aryll's great grandson
His family name used to be Outset, but when everyone who originally immigrated from Outset island took on that last name, they changed it to Aryll to reflect the family matriarch
So Spirit's full name is Link Aryll, though there is a branch of his family that uses Macaryll instead
The Aryll/Macaryll family is huge; everyone has at least six aunts and uncles on all sides of the family and they can trace back how they are related to Aryll
"I'm Grandma Aryl's third son's second daughter's fifth child." -someone Spirits is related to, probably
He actually never met his great grandmother; she died before he was born.
Spirit's dad was full-blooded Lokomo while his mother was Hylian; his mother passed a few months after he was born after never truly recovering from childbirth while his father died in a fishing accident when he was eight
He went to live with an aunt and uncle who owned a general store; their relationship was polite at best. The aunt and uncle told Spirits upfront that they intended to give the store over to his cousin when he was older so Spirits needed to come up with his own life plan
Spirits didn't necessarily mind since he never wanted to work in a store for the rest of his life, but the ultimatum made it clear that they didn't care for him like a son
To this day, their relationship isn't strained and he doesn't hate them. But whenever they meet, he's overly polite; they're more acquaintances than family
He's cool with his cousin though. They have different interests so they aren't best friends, but they're okay.
Spirits also always had his spirit-sensing abilities. It's really like a sixth sense to him, as normal and automatic as seeing and hearing; he actually didn't realize this wasn't normal until he was a little older
His abilities at this point are limited to sensing vague ideas of a person's spirit (if they're light or dark, etc.), and seeing ghosts (which are really rare. You have to have a lot of power yourself to become one)
(Note: I'm not the only one who headcanons Spirits as having spirit sensing abilities; if you know who can up with the idea, please let me know so that I can tag/credit them!)
The elder of his village told him that select Lokomo had minor spirit sensing abilities, and those who did were traditionally made elders of their villages; being more of a follower than a leader, Spirits adamantly dismissed that idea and refused to be trained on how to hone his spirit senses. He also never learned any of the religion behind it
Which was a little worrisome since his abilities are way stronger than most
Besides, he's always liked trains and it's been his dream to travel around the kingdom as an engineer; being some town's elder would get in the way of that
Anyway, Spirits had to pass a written exam before being accepted as an apprentice engineer, so he's very studious and has a lot of drive (pun unintended?)
He went to live with his Uncle Niko during his apprenticeship in another town; Niko isn't related to him, but he's been a friend of the family for so long that everyone secretly thinks he's actually related to someone and they just forgot who
Niko is his real family, hands down. Those two are as thick as thieves and bring out the wild side in each other
A preteen Spirits used to think Niko was a little lame and kind of embarrassing, but now that he's older, he's all for Niko's weird old man-ness and has even picked up on some of his weird old man-ness himself
That being said, they're both disasters. Neither can clean or cook or do any kind of housekeeping and their shared house is cluttered with Niko's art projects and Spirit's half-finished tinkering
Growing up, Spirits had no idea he was related to the legendary Hero of Wind; Aryll died before he was born, but even in life she was filled with too much grief over her missing brother to discuss it often. Within the family, being related to the Hero of Wind is a rumor at best.
Of course, Niko knows but keeps it a secret from Spirits; once he got back from his LU-adventure, Wind told Niko about the curse of the Hero's Spirit. Then he went missing post-New Hyrule's founding, which really drove the terror of the curse home. Niko thought he could keep Wind's family from falling victim to it by not inadvertently encouraging them to follow in Wind's footsteps
So Niko kept it a secret
And obviously, that didn't work
Spirits' quest to save New Hyrule resulted in him realizing that he needed to embrace his Lokomo heritage and get a handle on his spirit powers; Anjean gave him a little training during his quest but afterwards he traveled around the kingdom to find as many people as he could with abilities like his
They were all really excited to teach him what they knew, especially the religious aspects of the abilities; Spirits is still not the most religious person, but he at least understands and embraces the cultural significance of what he is able to do
This is where he learned how to read a person's Spirit to get an idea of their life experiences and the kind of person they're like; he can also detect where a person is without having to put much effort into it
At Zelda's encouragement, he also got more sword training from the Castle Guard. She offered him a place among them, but he turned it down in favor of remaining an engineer. He still helps around as a swordsman when he can and will act as Zelda's body guard
Speaking of which, he and Zelda are 100% in love. Their relationship started out as puppy love but over the years as matured into a deep connection built on mutual respect
When he's working on designing new engines or parts for his trains, he occasionally brings his drafting materials to the castle gardens so that he can work alongside Zelda; sometimes she falls asleep leaning against his arm and he has to be careful not to shake her awake as he works
Whenever she need to go anywhere in the kingdom, she rides in his train and teasingly criticizes his conducting; he takes a lot of pride in his conducting, but he lets her get away with it since her critiques are objectively hilarious
He keeps a tiny pictograph of her taped to his dashboard
But there's a bit of a problem with their relationship, and it's that he doesn't know if he wants to be the prince consort or not. He does love her, but that would mean giving up being an engineer in favor of being stuck at the castle all of the time
Plus, he's doing great as an engineer; he's saving up to open his own garage that produces his own train designs
Eventually, he leaves for the War of Eras
His experiences with Warriors leaves him more sure than ever that he doesn't want to be the prince consort, resulting in him ending his relationship with Zelda shortly after he returns home
It hurts for a long time to be around her since all of his old feelings keep coming back, so he keeps his distance for a long time; it takes a few years for him to go back to hanging out with Zelda as friends
But now she's approaching marriage age, and he spends a lot of time when he's on body guard duty super jealous of these princes and ambassadors from foreign kingdoms who try to court her
But again, he knows he can't be in a relationship with her so he respectfully and silently pines over her (I'm just a sucker for pining, okay?)
Okay, more random headcanons that are a little less sad
Spirits likes super spicy food, but since he can't cook to save his own life, he just eats whatever he can get his hands on
He's super dirty all of the time, just the epitome of scrappy; there's always a smear of oil somewhere on his person
He actually really hates bathing and only keeps his curly hair in check to comply with train safety regulations
He's really polite and a little shy, but once he loosens up, he gets talkative and personable
He's also very contemplative; he likes conducting so much because he gets to spend long stretches of time alone with nothing but his thoughts
His trauma/stress response is to shut down; he goes quiet, loses energy, and sleeps for longer periods of time
He tends to gravitate towards socializing with people who are older than him, which gets him labeled as being no fun by his peers (despite having someone as cooky as Niko for a uncle)
Post-adventure, his best friend is Linebeck III. They're drinking buddies. Neither can really explain why they even like hanging out as much as they do
(I just like the idea of Linebeck accidentally getting attached to one kid and his whole bloodline getting forever tangled with Wind's; they're bros for multiple lifetimes)
Not only is Spirits good at designing and building new machinery, but he's great at tinkering; he can fix almost anything and will buy broken things on purpose just to have something to fix
No one really knows he's a hero; he doesn't like the attention and, at his request, Zelda did her best to keep his involvement with Malladus a secret
Because not many common people know about his adventure and records of New Hyrule are very rare, he's considered in Warrior's time to be a forgotten hero; some scholars believe that a Hero of Spirits may have once existed, but if he did, no one really knows who he was or what he did to serve the bloodline of Hylia
My issues with Marvel's What If...? Episode 2
First of all, I have zero problems with any of the voice acting or animation in this- Just like with Episode 1, it was all beautiful and inspired.
I can't wait to see more of T'Challa's Star-Lord! Sarah Finn was right that Chadwick just naturally exudes royalty in every role he plays! Second of all, this episode technically didn't have any pacing issues unlike the first, which was nice.
But-! I do have a lot of issues with how the plot played out:
- Young T'Challa's fight with his dad didn't feel nearly as intense enough to warrant T'Challa leaving Wakanda for years and never checking for himself if even Earth overall was okay. It just seemed like a forced way to set up a conflict with Yondu at the end of the second act.
- If Yondu breaking his deal with Ego was to make sure no more of Ego's kids got hurt, why not take Quill as well? Especially given what happens at the end of this episode, that felt like a really really stupid move.
-Speaking of which, what happened to "I couldn't bear to set foot on an Earth where she wasn't living!!" huh, Ego?
- I understand Yondu taking Peter Quill on the run to hide him from Ego as low-level thieves, but when the Ravagers are high-profile multi-galaxy heroes in this universe, I find it hard to believe that Ego wouldn't easily track Yondu down to exact revenge for ditching him after a few years.
- I have no problems with Good Guy Thanos- I think it's a fun and funny story that could happen with enough crazy events. My issue is that a Titan strong enough to keep several planet's worth of armies under his thumb and kill a large handful of Avengers by himself shouldn't lose to Proxima Midnight and a dumb lightning fence. It seemed like they included Thanos as a hilarious joke, and then couldn't figure out how to work him naturally into the story and nerfed him big-time instead.
- Seeing all of the Collector's extra loot was nice and I believed that he could amp himself up with weapons and relics he collected to become a major threat, except for one- Hela's crown. Apparently it's also the source of her power just like Surtur?? It never seemed like that at all in Ragnarok. And while I believe that Tivaan could get his hands on Cap's Shield and even Mjolnir if he stole it before Odin's enchantment, I cannot at all believe that anyone could beat Hela and take her crown as long as Asgard still stands (Which it should, since Ragnarok is a constant).
-Lastly, this is a problem other people have raised before- "Star-Lord" is the nickname Peter Quill was given by his mom, Meredith Quill. And this episode didn't even try to explain how T'Challa got that same name. They just assumed "Famous Ravager= Star-Lord" and went with it.
Even if this show is supposed to be silly non-canon fun, it still needs to deliver on its promise of showing what happens to the mcu after one small change, and I really don't think it did. If the What If comics also played this fast and loose with the changes without thinking them through, I don't really care- it's no excuse for this show to do that too.
Honestly this episode did answer one "What If...?" correctly, and it was "What if James Gunn wasn't in charge of the cosmic MCU?" and the answer is that it would still be fun and colorful and charming, but it would lack a lot of the heart and immense dedicated planning that Gunn put into the GotG films. I'm so glad to live in the timeline where Gunn got rehired- GotG3 would probably be such a mess without him.
An old AU/Fic idea!
So, this ask from @wild-selenite-caffine actually reminded me that I haven't posted this yet so here it is: An old post-P5S idea!
tw: stalking, harassment, major character injury, death threats
Also, MAJOR P5S SPOILERS!
The concept is this: What if the secretary that supposedly killed themselves had a relative/family member that basically held a grudge against Zenkichi for participating in the coverup (for the murder of his wife). Basically, blaming him for the hell their family went through.
So, they end up stalking him whenever he's in Tokyo; gathering info, just following him around. Nothing huge at first since they don't exactly know who he is. Then they learn after Konoe and Owada get arrested which made the news. Perhaps there was a press conference that they secretly attended and Kaburagi answers some questions before crediting Zenkichi Hasegawa for his aid in the case. Bingo! That's what they needed! Zenkichi actually notices a figure with a hoodie obscuring their face among the crowd but decides not to stress about them for now, thinking that he was just seeing things. That was when the notes and letters start. Basically threats against him and sometimes just words like, "MURDERER" on them along with, "I HOPE THE PHANTOM THIEVES STEAL YOUR HEART OR WORSE!" "I HOPE YOU DIE LIKE YOUR WIFE DID!" He was bothered, but willing to ignore them at first but the last one? Good god did that rattle him severely. He still tries to keep a level head but the notes become more frequent and even somehow ended up at his own house! In Kyoto! And Akane? She starts to become aware too, especially with how stressed her dad seems lately. That and she snooped a bit out of concern and finds the notes he kept as potential evidence (in his own secret hideout maybe?):
"Dad? Is someone bothering you at all?"
"What do you mean?"
*She shows him what she found*
"Akane... Where did-"
"I'm sorry, I know I should've done that but... I just, I felt like something was wrong and... I don't want things to go back to when mom died..."
"Akane... They're all just petty threats and I'm just saving them for evidence. Probably for a restraining order at best..."
"Then why does it not reassure me in the slightest?"
Turns out, Akane had every right to be concerned. They step up their game a bit. Now there's dangerous packages added to the mix, one of which gets Zen hurt by a bundle of razors at work. Thankfully it was not a serious injury and he dismissed it as a nasty prank from a co-worker. But now it catches Kaburagi's attention as she expresses concern too. He still tries to keep calm though but gives her permission to investigate and maybe some protection if needed. He finally loses it though when Akane nearly gets hurt by a bundle of rusty nails left on his front door and then gets a message from an unknown number saying to check the PhanSite. He does (after being filled in on its purpose by the others and Akane) and pales to see a request made towards HIM. He feels sick as he reads the message attached to it saying that he needs to pay for ruining their life and taking away a loved one.
"What...?! Who in the-?!"
He gets in touch with everyone via video chat and that's when he fully breaks down from all the stress that's been building up.
"Please... Help us! I don't want to end up nearly losing the only family I have left again!"
Futaba gets in touch with Mishima who proceeds to delete the request after she pleads that Zenkichi is genuinely a good person despite everything. This pisses the stalker off and feeling that the PTs "failed" them decides to take "justice" into their own hands. They plan accordingly, keeping an eye on his activities and routine while he, Kaburagi, and the PTs try to figure it all out with Akane growing more worried. Especially when someone has been watching her streams and leaving disturbing comments. Especially about her dad. One day, Zenkichi had to work late and gets a call from Akane, who immediately tells him to come straight home right after work. He notices how anxious she sounds and tries to reassure her again. She just responds that he comes home and that she also wants to talk to him. He's concerned now but agrees and they end the conversation there. It's late and dark out by the time he leaves and while walking to the train station, he hears a noise and starts to ready himself. He hears the noise get louder before turning around and pinning the assailant to the ground, knife sliding away. He questions them, having concluded that this was the person that threatened him and, by extension, his family only to be knocked off of them and a struggle starts as he tries to keep them away from the knife. But sadly, they fought dirty and was able to free themselves. Zenkichi chases them only to feel pain as he looks down to see a knife in his gut. They twist it, causing him to cry out in pain before pulling it out, causing him to fall to the ground. They look down at him, clearly enjoying the high they got from the action and stomps on him. He cries out again and they kneel to his level, almost giggling madly as they express their desire to continue to the torture to make him "suffer like they did." There was more beating and Zen was reminded of his interrogation back in P5S and freezes up, not fighting back. He snaps out of it when they grab him by his hair but before they could do anything worse...
"FREEZE! DROP YOUR WEAPON AND PUT YOUR HANDS UP NOW!!"
They pale and turn to see an angry Kaburagi pointing her gun at them. They panic and run off, dropping the knife in the process. Kaburagi could have chased them, but she had another priority right now. She tries to keep him alive as she calls for help and even tells him to stay awake for Akane's sake. He does survive the encounter but now there's a pissed off group of teens and daughter now...
Also, there would be Phantom Thief!Akane as the whole incident would act as a lead up/catalyst to her awakening to a Persona. Maruki would be involved too (having started dating Zen by then).
