Hi im here to tell you why this part of Workin Boys is absolutely fucking amazing

Showstopper, in definition, is an act with a prolonged applause and impressive reaction from the audience enough to interrupt a performance. I really love how they used Show Stopping Number for this scene and it’s the most fitting shit ever. Before being shot, Hidgens was doing the iconic Workin Boys title number, which was also done in Show Stopping Number. And then the moment itself is a showstopper, there's screaming, horror and desperation coming from the audience and even claps coming from (drunk) Linda, a standing ovation.

It's also exactly how it's shown in TGWDLM. When Henry finishes the Workin' Boys bit (before the infected came) he goes directly back to the actual song. “I can't wait to get home to my boys! / A show stopping number / a real show stopper”

For a second their balance is lost, surprise evident even in their movements when they turn around just in time to hear the last of her explanation. But, instead of displaying fear at how they could've been in pain, there is a curiosity alight in their eyes. Knowledge of someone more accustomed to the area was always nostalgic after all, a brief reminder of the forest Gran themself knew like the back of their hand.

" Thank you ", expressing their gratitude while fixing their hood, gaze lingering in the direction of the impending doom, a ravine…sounded kind of impressive after all! This wasn't quite the time to inspect such things, though, and they turn around to what actually was the path. " This place really is overgrown… "

MCL NG ep 3 - my opinion on Jason and Amanda's routes and differences between the park and house choices

Since I'm playing on my two main accounts, one for Jason and one for Amanda, I had the opportunity to play episode 3 with very different choices. Depending on who you go to the mall with, depending on your lov level with Jason and depending on where you celebrate the party on chapter is quite different, and I love that! It makes the re-plays more interesting and varied. Thanks for that Beemov! I love episodes like this!

If anyone is curious, I will tell here the differences between both options that I played (*SPOILERS)

With my sucrette Lily, in Jason's route, I went with Devon to the mall and he asked me what kinds of stores I liked the most, and when I meet Jason the scene develops in a quite intense way, especially if you choose the special scene. Not only there is a lot of chemistry between them with a show of competition and fun rivalry, but Jason even advices you, and offers you the possibility of working for him in Goldreamz! Sucrette rejects him and tells him that she will show him how good she is at her job in Devemenentiel as a rival (that's my girl!), and both toast the future failure of the other company. I LOVED sm their interaction, I wished it was longer, and it was also intense and hilarious to have that scene with Jason right in front of my own boss, lmao Jason, you shameless, what are you doing flirting with the competition in front of you! smirk

Then the party was at Sucrette's house, Elenda, Devon and Roy came, the others didn't and Amanda seems very upset by your decision. They meet Taki, and there's a pretty entertaining and fun scene of the three of them playing truth and dare trivia. They ask Elenda if she hates anyone and she answers that only a girl from high school who bullied her. Then they ask Devon what his first time was like, Devon is not very specific, but Roy tells you that he knows details about that because Devon told him when they were in high school XD They ask sucrette what she would do if she were invisible, my Lily answered that she would get revenge on her ex-boyfriend by making him believe that there was a poltergeist in his house (the horrified expressions of Elenda, Devon and Roy during that scene are pure gold XD) And then you can choose between a scene with Roy's kiss or one with Devon's sexy massage. I chose Devon and he gave me a massage without heasitation, but if you choose Roy he tells you that he can't kiss you on the lips because he's dating Brune.

I laughed a lot at the comments of the three characters at dinner at home. Also, Elenda was a sweetheart and I'm looking forward to having more scenes with her and becoming besties in future chapters.

Now, on Amanda's route, my other Sucrette decided to go with her to the mall. They both have a scene that I really enjoyed, looking at store windows and talking about clothes and picnic baskets. It was very cute!! My encounter with Jason here was VERY different, because on this account I've a low lovometer with him, so the conversation was shorter and drier, without any job proposition and you don't feel as much competitive tension, just contempt by his part, and then Amanda insulted him quite a bit, saying that Jason is a bitter and a loser, Amanda has no mercy XD Devon was more peaceful here. The date was in the park and Amanda's reaction to you changes a lot. Here she's very sweet and friendly. Devon shows up, but then has to leave, Brune is the first to show up and brings Spanish tapas (as a Spanish person I felt at home at this moment, haha), Thomas also shows up with his motorbike!! :D He looked gorgeous in a helmet and leather jacket omg. The next scene is very nice and calm, with everyone sharing food and chatting. Then you can choose between Amanda and Thomas, if you choose Amanda, you try the cake she brought, then you go for a walk with her and ride the seesaw in the park. The special scene is very cute and fun <3 and you can see Amanda beautiful with her hair down! And then you both talk about your respective childhoods.

In conclusion, both options are worth it, the key is which type of party you like best and which characters you prefer to increase your lovometer with.

Extra curiosities: -Devon's old high school love was a girl named Lou. -Brune is half Spanish, and she really likes motorcycles, just like Thomas. -Amanda seems to have (or had) a good relationship with her father. -Elenda was the first employee to work at Devementiel, along with Devon and Roy when they founded the company. She considers herself the "fairy godmother" of the company! -Amanda loves to cook, while Thomas doesn't like it too much. -In truth and dare, your sucrette can answer between three options for what he would do while invisible, the other two being that I did not mention: rob a bank or be an investigative journalist. I chose to annoy her ex-boyfriend, and if you say that, Elenda comments a bit worried and sad that that man must have been very bad to you, and Roy makes a joke about how he would never dare make you angry XD

mmm... he never outright told anyone in the friend group. tbh he doesn't outright tell many people, mostly as he's just a bit of a private person in that regard and keeps to himself outside of attempting dating apps every now and then. i would not say he actively attempted to hide it though aside from around iggy. as for other people assuming i think it was something many of them did kinda realize but never said anything also

similar here, i think some of them kinda knew. i think gidget knew, even if they kinda ignored it, because it prompted their jealousy on a few occasions. i think orlam had a bit of a guess but it wasn't really confirmed until later

LOL about the routes. indeed, if you don't realize that actually all the "routes" are mandatory parts of the story until the finale then it can be confusing if you thought you were going for a specific char early on or something 🤣 it's not like the games where you can pick your route and then the rest of the game is that route

hahaha yeah i wouldn't say there's a "canon" ending. for one, i feel like that would kinda defeat the point of having different possibilities to begin with. why make other choices if there's only ever one canon ending? i want people to be able to choose however they want the story to end. i mostly connected the neutral ending to OC as a sort of self-indulgent gift to myself, because i thought it would be very sweet if iggy would still have a chance to find companionship with one of his friends later on even if he chose to focus on himself first. like that it just keeps it open. i also just thought it'd be a fun easter egg to give ppl more incentive to at least try the neutral route as i figure most ppl would not choose that route as it's kinda short compared to the others and doesn't give as much closure to the other chars

Heizou was warm.

In fact, he was heating up rapidly.

It started from the moment Heizou was forcibly laid on the plush bed, being pressed between the thick mattress and a persistent body. Every little sensation felt like a lit candle almost grazing his skin - not enough to burn but enough to leave a mental impression. The cotton blankets usually used to shield his entire body from the cold were discarded beneath him, threatening to be thrown off the bed completely. The only protection he needed was the lively form currently on top of him.

Within seconds, Heizou’s body was overwhelmed by multiple sources of warmth - from the arms pinning him to the bed to the passionate kisses pressing his face and neck. One particularly flaming kiss against the pulse point in his neck stole his breath away, followed by a hot breath puffing against it. The warmth accumulated on his lips as it was attacked by repeated kisses, building more in his mouth as a tongue slipped inside. The heat finally traveled to his lower body as Heizou’s mind was growing restless. He tried his best not to succumb to the suggestive scenes playing in his brain but every second of this treatment made it harder.

It wasn’t until his heat source relented that Heizou could finally breathe. When his eyes could focus, the face of his pursuer became clear. His lover stared back at him while a sympathetic smile grew on his face.

“You’re quite tense,” the saccharine voice told him, just above a whisper. “Are my actions already too much for you? If so, maybe you aren’t ready…”

The second after his lover started to pull back, Heizou grabbed onto his shirt and forced him back down.

“Kazuha, if you dare to leave me in this state…,” Heizou warned breathlessly. “You can’t keep teasing me like this.”

“I’m only looking out for your well-being,” Kazuha said smugly, his eyes faintly gleaming crimson. “Are you sure your body can handle it? You’re burning at the touch…”

Heizou should have known that his boyfriend would make a game out of his naïve request. It had been weeks since he had asked Kazuha a simple question:

“What would happen if you turned me into a vampire?”

It wasn’t the first time Heizou asked but this time, it had more of an intent. Before, once finding out about Kazuha’s identity, he would make passive comments about his interest in becoming one. But that was half a decade ago and now his slight intrigue has morphed into a heavy infatuation. Heizou didn’t only wonder but desired to be just like his lover. He had made this final decision a while ago and was determined to make it into reality.

And this wasn’t a thoughtless choice either. After living with Kazuha for years, he understood how his life would be changed. Some of it would be a slight inconvenience while other parts would be difficult getting used to - specifically the hunger for blood. Kazuha kept warning him of this but Heizou was not swayed even the slightest bit. The bond between the two of them was strong even as a vampire-human relationship but if they both became supernatural entities, it could become intense.

“You promised me tonight. Nothing would dissuade my decision,” Heizou stated firmly, watching his lover’s smirk increase further.

“I wasn’t trying to dissuade you. Again, your safety is my priority,” Kazuha said as he leaned in and made their faces inches apart. “If that’s what your heart desires, then let me not leave you impatient. The only thing I ask of you, my love, is to hold still and relax…”

Heizou felt compelled to do as he was told, being further coerced by the red irises overtaking his vision. His shoulders immediately fell limp and his hands lost their grip on his lover’s shirt, falling by either side of his head. Satisfied, Kazuha leaned down and tilted his head, burying his face into his boyfriend’s neck.

Heizou had to handle more of his boyfriend’s teasing as the taunting vampire took his sweet time. It began with tiny pecks, followed by intimate kisses and tickling licks. The heat returned to Heizou as the attention went to the pulse in his neck. He hated the stalling but he couldn’t complain when the stimulation felt so agonizingly good.

“Keep calm for me, no sudden movements…,” Kazuha whispered, grasping his boyfriend’s shoulders.

Heizou’s breath was lost yet again when he felt two sharp points grazing his neck. His heart began to race - pounding loud enough to be deafening in his lover’s ears. Anticipation was stacking up but that wasn’t the only thing he felt. If he was only burning up before, his body now felt like he was being set on fire.

“This is for being so loyal to me ever since we laid eyes on each other,” Kazuha announced, his voice deepening. “Please - take this as a mark of my love and the endless years to come.”

And that was the last memory vivid in Heizou’s mind. His vision blurred as the sharp pain was plunged into his neck, immediately making him cry out. A cooling substance seemed to be flooding into his bloodstream - a shivering contrast to how achingly his body burned. All of Heizou’s cries became lodged in his throat as tears trickled from his eyes and onto the pillow underneath him. The grip on his shoulders was even tighter and was the only thing keeping him from thrashing about.

Even without the use of his vision, Heizou’s other senses were going haywire and were already experiencing changes. The restless winter’s wind, which had previously only been a background noise, was now howling into his sensitive ears. For a few seconds, Heizou could suddenly hear every little thing - the creaking of their bed, the neighborhood strays yipping for attention, the rumbling from traveling cars, and even two distinct breathing that was the center of his regard. His already foggy head was practically sprinting in circles at all the disorderly sounds.

Every breath Heizou took in through his nose accumulated many scents - some more recognizable than others. Regardless, the dizziness he felt only became worse as he started to feel sick. But that nausea seemed to vanish once a certain aroma stood out from all the rest.

Blood. Too much of it, in fact.

The sweetest smell of blood cured any sickness Heizou felt and made him lose any grip he still had on reality. It was so tantalizingly close that he taste it on his tongue and the desire for it became too much to bear. All the pain became numb when only one thought sat in his mind.

“Almost done, keep conscious for me, darling,” Kazuha’s voice spoke quietly, bringing his lover partially back out of his headspace. “I know what you’re craving for.”

Kazuha leaned back and bared his neck, bringing it close to his half-conscious boyfriend’s mouth. Heizou, who had mostly been out of it, suddenly experienced a spike in energy. Every pound of Kazuha’s heart rang in his ears and cued him in on what should be done. Heizou’s vision cleared to see his lover’s neck being presented to him. Before he could think, he lunged forward and sunk his newly-formed fangs into the delicate flesh.

Immediately, the crimson nectar his body longed for seeped into his mouth and he drank it desperately. Heizou felt like a baby being fed its milk bottle - eagerly accepting the meal encouraged by his maker. He felt rejuvenated by the red tunneling down his throat and his mind was put at ease. Heizou finally understood why vampires could not become so addicted to blood, beyond the fact that they needed it to survive. No human food could compare to this.

“That’s enough,” Kazuha told him as he lightly pushed on his partner’s shoulders, encouraging him to lay back down.

Heizou gasped as he finished his meal, falling back onto the pillow breathlessly. He watched silently as Kazuha’s eyes scanned his face like a predator, a light chuckle rolling off his lips.

“What’s so funny?”

“Nothing. I’m only in disbelief,” Kazuha responded, his smug expression becoming more loving. “You already looked so beautiful as a human but as a vampire…”

Instead of explaining it to him, Kazuha grasped his lover’s chin and turned it to the side, facing the tall mirror that rested near the wall. Heizou was in awe when he found his reflection, being taken off guard by the red irises staring back at him. As he took heavy breaths, he could see the two blood-stained fangs sticking out of his mouth and even more blood drooling out. Under the glow of the full moon, Heizou looked nearly ethereal in this state and combined with his boyfriend’s beauty, it was almost like staring at ancient Greek art. He would admire the masterpiece longer if his eyelids weren’t threatening to close.

“You did so well, my love,” Kazuha whispered, caressing the top of his boyfriend’s head before kissing it. “I’m so proud of you.”

Heizou could only whimper in response, slipping in and out of consciousness. All of the heat he felt evaporated at that moment, except for the warmth fluttering in his chest from his lover’s praises. The burst of energy was limited to his desire for blood but now that that was fulfilled, the only thing he wanted was to rest. But before he completely fell into his slumber, one final memory registered in his brain:

“Sleep now. Starting from this day forward, your body and soul belong to me.”

LIFELONG Blorbo. I fucking love this cringefail train. He has train asthma, train coeliac disease and possibly a train anxiety disorder. I love this guy sm. I loved animorphs as a kid but I read them entirely out of order because I just wanted to read the scenes with this guy. Hes a cool blue alien centaur dude who loves cinnamon rolls despite having no mouth. Amazing no notes.

ok but. prince! osamu who still has the same love for food as cannon osamu. who sometimes sneaks down to the kitchens in the dead of night when he wants to cook something up. who secretly has a hobby for cooking and if he weren’t a prince he thinks he could definitely be a chef. meets u one day when he’s cooking and you both end up staying the entire night in the kitchens whispering and eating all the food he’s cooked for you <3

there is actually a scene kind of like this in the original wip :') prince!osamu who used to run into the kitchens when he was little, clinging to the apron strings of the cooks and scullery maids, begging to be allowed to look into the pots bubbling on the stove, to taste what they're making, to watch with wide eyes as they knead their doughs and peel their vegetable and slice their ingredients with a speed and precision his eyes can barely follow.

it's graceful, he thinks in his little mind, as precise and elegant as the sword work of the knights. he wonders if maybe in another life the blade that he was trained to wield might have been one that wasn't meant to kill.

He had these tricks for stealing codes I still don't understand. Stole his share of hearts, too. But, when it came to the ladies, he just had the one trick. Bouquet of flowers hidden behind his back. Funny to think, some of 'em might've even come from here. He pulled the flower trick on Tifa once, believe it or not. She told him where to stick 'em. 'Course she did. Our quartermaster, Nellie, had a good laugh at that. She was tight with Jessie. People sometimes took 'em for sisters even. They'd say "No way!" and get upset, but then they'd start giggling, and you knew... Yeah...They'll all be fine.

sob i lov robin’s coming out scene sm!!  like it isn’t this big thing.  obviously it’s big to her bc coming out always is, but it’s not like overly dramatic and it comes from a natural place in the convo and steve just accepts it and goes back to treating her normal and it makes me sob
