honestly when you first joined the team he was an ass about it, thought it was unbecoming of an assassin to behave so childishly (the others already give him a headache) but the fact that you stood your ground actually really impressed him. you're still an adult and you're not unreasonable, you know when to take things seriously, you just have your eccentricities like everyone else in this circus and he came to appreciate your point of view and your seemingly boundless enthusiasm for nice things in life. he later expressed as much to you during his apology for being an ass.

you temper each other. he'll be your grounding force and you'll help him loosen up

he does like how ur sweet and open with your affection. if he grumbles about sharing the bed with plushies that's code for 'cuddle me instead'

he also loves bringing you to cafés that do those fancy or fun shapes in the lattes cause he loves to see your eyes light up and fawn over how 'its almost too pretty to drink!!!' it's really quite adorable how excitable u are and prosciutto is not immune to it

oh, he will tease you about it. probably in a way that's kind of mean when you first join, but you aren't bothered by him or concerned with his opinion. if you point out that he's the childish one for trying to get a rise out of you when you're just minding your own business, that has EVERYONE appreciating you because it's unbearably fun to see illuso taken down a notch. that has him huffing and retreating for a bit and having a think. when he comes back, he's less of an ass. as you grow closer, he apologizes.

now the only way he teases is gentle and loving and fond, because you really are quite adorable and he wouldn't have it any other way. it honestly kind of freaks him out when you get serious but he doesn't show it, he'll just place a gentle hand on your arm or your waist and work with you to resolve the issue. he's relieved when you smile again

he warms up to your plushies because they're nice cozy additions to his piles of pillows for lounging around on and they make u happy

he may keep up his aloof air when he picks up a controller with u or watches over ur shoulder like he has nothing better to do but he gets REALLY into it and competitive, or intensely supportive and backseat gaming if ur going solo

he honestly loves how sweet u are because that sort of thing doesn't really come easy to him

THEY LOVE IT UR ADORABLE. they're both playful in their own ways (sorbet is more chill and dry wit sort of playful, gelato is no impulse control and hyena cackling sort of playful) and they love to have fun with u

it's also like.... the world is fucked up and they're both kinda fucked up (more than kinda), and they know you're not like an innocent baby or at all incompetent (hell, you may be kinda fucked up too, who isn't when ur an assassin) but it's just. nice to see someone else having fun and being sweet and enjoying things about life. so they are very protective of you when things get serious, they never EVER want to see you become embittered and will do absolutely anything to get you laughing again as soon as possible. which, guaranteed, they do

gelato has always had a short attention span so he knows what to do for entertainment and sorbet knows how to entertain, he may be the more patient one but they both like to mix things up and keep the surroundings interesting. they will play all sorts of games with u, video games or card games or stupid shit like beer pong or making a game of how many marshmallows u can each fit in ur mouths. you'll all go for a nice walk in the park and nothing is more relaxing for sorbet than kickin back on a bench while his rowdy babes end up tussling in the dirt. be free

of course, u and gelato also drag him into the dirt and put flowers in his hair and he would want nothing less

they'll both squish ur cheeks and lovingly tease u about how cute u are. blow a raspberry at them and they'll give u a kiss

So, in episode 4, they really expanded on what it's like outside of the alt-reality of, as we learned, Westview, NJ.

Personally, I figured that the "delusion" was completely made up by Wanda - she had done it in the comics, why not in the MCU as well? I've been waiting since AoU for Marvel to showcase her talents and the extensiveness of her powers, but I expected it from Doctor Strange 2 and Wandavision, not just the latter. Buuuuut this episode allows us to form theories going into next week and on, and I really want to see some of them.

Here's my not so theories but things I'm looking forward to in no order:

Wanda finally getting the happiness she deserves, but in a healthy way - processing the grief and moving on

S.W.O.R.D. figuring out how to debunk a reality-twisting (magnetic? electric? I forgot what they said) field and not only save the people inside, but save Wanda from herself

Figuring out if those are actually Wanda's kids or if they're part of the simulation (In one of the comics, Wanda left Vision because he is physically incapable of producing children - I need a fact check on that though since it's been a while)

Expanding on Darcy and Monica's characters, since we have seen them before but not in quite some time! (I'm glad Woo finally learned the card trick as well, good for him)

Finding out how and what S.W.O.R.D. Is all about - I felt a bit bamboozled upon hearing out that the two organizations are practically Pokemon games

Since we know Wanda is the one controlling the simulation, we can assume that the Beekeeper™️, the airplane, and the blood (from that one preppy woman's hand - can't remember her name) were promptly dealt with, although unsure as to how

Expanding on the point above, we saw that the TV rewinds/deletes the scenes (Darcy said it was being "censored") that disrupt the normal broadcasting. This must be Wanda's doing, because again, she's the one controlling it. How she does it though is something I've got guesses about but they're too long to write down

As for the "deleted scenes", I hope that future episodes can fill those gaps like this one did

Last, I think Wanda is so deep in her own delusion that she can, even if it's temporary, remove herself from the situation. She can forget that she's inside her own mind because she's so deep into it. She's invested in her own...'insanity' per se. When Monica mentioned Ultron (though still wondering if she was undercover or if she slowly recovered memories), it's like Wanda snapped. It wasn't immediately though - it took her a moment to process the name and what Monica exactly said. I think that's going to be extremely scary to deal with (Wanda mad? Hot and dangerous)

Okay, I think that's it for me - I'm putting my soap box away. Some of these I didn't explain thoroughly but my thoughts are so jumbled that writing them out both helped and made it worse.

Your Toxtricity was sent to you by your juggabro. In his words, it’s a “cool Pokemon to fit your aesthetic but keep you on track”. It can be pretty overprotective, but sometimes it turns a blind eye to the more chaotic things you do. 

Your Whirlipede is just an entire baby. Even though it’s got toxic spikes on its shell that COULD kill you, it’s pretty much a lapbug. You just have to try and remind it to be careful before it goes in for snuggles. 

Your Haunter and Gloom actually kind of hate each other! Having them out at the same time often ends up with you either getting paralysed or put to sleep. They’re super sweet when they’re apart, though, and both LOVE scritches. 

Toxicroak used to be really loveydovey when it was a Croagunk, but now it acts like it’s too cool for school. It’s really not. If you pay more attention to another Pokemon it WILL jab you in the stomach. And then it’ll pretend like it totally wasn’t even because it was jealous. 

Your Crobat is the sweetest of the bunch!! It likes to collect (read: steal) things for you that it thinks you’ll like, and is almost always attached to your back out of its Pokeball. Sometimes without you wanting it to be. It can be a bit of a pain, sometimes. 

- Bloodcaste/lusus/chumhandle as if you were a Homestuck troll (+lore)

You’re a purpleblood with a seaserpent lusus! Your chumhandle is acquiredTalisman. 

You live with your lusus in a hive that boarders where the jungle forest ends and the beach begins. It’s a pretty popular spot for violetbloods, admittedly, but it’s also the only place your giantass Seaserpentdad can actually fit; the mouth of the river is deep and leads directly out into the ocean, where he spends most of his time. The hive itself is pretty cluttered - because man, you suck at keeping shit tidy - and filled to the brim with your dice collections, your religious paraphenalia, and all the random junk you’ve stolen (of which there is a lot). 

You have a few interests, of which the main is your religion. You’re a diviner of sorts, oddly sought out by your fellow purplebloods to tell them what their purpose is in life as stated by the Great Mirthful Messiahs. You’re not entirely sure that they really do speak through you, but your readings are scary-accurate, and not only does it mean that you’ve made more friends, but you’ve made a fuck tonne of money, too. You’re more fond of practicing with your friends, or on your own, sneaking what you can beneath your lusus’ snout; so far, he hasn’t seemed to question the candle collection you have, or the alter with the Faygo bottlecaps, or the cards, or pendulum made from a grubbone you got from one of your customers. Actually, he hasn’t noticed much of anything? You’re hesitant to go TOO far, but you do like pushing at what you can get away with every now and then. 

On top of that, you love to draw - mostly as a form of worship, but also just for fun with your juggabros. You send drawings back and forth, even though you’ve never been able to meet them, and it’s pretty fun! You hope one day that you can get them to your favourite hangout spot to cause a little chaos - which usually means trashing the violetbloods’ rich boy shit and stealing things you know they’re too proud to tattle about. You don’t... always remember doing those things? But you definitely remember the amount of violetbloods that give you nasty glares whenever you walk past. It’s okay, though. You have a rifle and you’re not afraid to use it.

Beyond that, though, you’re... kind of lonely. There’s nobody that you really consider a friend around you, and when your friends do visit you, it’s only every few months. Having all those customers and the nasty violetbloods hanging around is great, sure, but... sometimes you wish you could move your hive closer inland to be near your juggabros. You could, you guess. But then where would your lusus go?

Your lusus is kind of ridiculously huge. You really couldn’t miss him even on the horizon, his giant form standing stark against the two moons. Not that he spends a whole lot of time above the water, though. He pretty much only comes back to get fed and throw a fit if he sees any of your purpleblood customers hanging around.

You and your older bro kick it in a sweet lil bottom-floor apartment. It’s kinda dingy, kinda shitty, but it’s the best he can afford and you’re not really one to complain when you know how hard he works just to keep the leaky roof over your head. It’s got everything you want out of a home, anyway; separate bedrooms, tiny bathroom, sweet hangout pad that doubles as a kitchen (which you’ve got a curtain draped over so that it looks like they’re two rooms) - it’s pretty neat. It’s also got a fire escape out the back and easy access to the lobby doors that’re easy to pick, so you figure it’s kinda home. 

You absolutely fucking love to play paintball. You’ve got a painball gun that you maybe stole from the store once, and a couple pellets you’ve been buying for cheap online whenever you have the money. You don’t... actually have anyone to play with, but hey, cop cars make a great target. It feeds into your general need for chaos, which isn’t limited to - but has involved - petty theft, breaking into cars, and spray painting defametory phrases against racists and homophobes on billboards. You’ve never actually been caught. Okay, you got caught once, but you’re really good at crying. You’re pretty sure your bro doesn’t know about that.

You like to practice witchy shit in your spare time. You’ve got altars set up for your patrons, and a candle collection that you really don’t know that you’re ever gonna burn through. Plus, incense! Your bro kind of hates the smell, but you just crack open a window and it’s like he doesn’t even know. You’ve also got a pretty fair collection of crystals, but that’s more because people just keep giving them to you? It’s wild what they’ve thought were just normal rocks, and you’re pretty sure some of your collection could sell for a pretty buck, but they make way better offerings. 

Of course, you also love to talk to your friends online. You have a bunch! You’re pretty easy to get on with, you think, so you end up just kinda collecting people into one giant group of friends that never stops growing. You share art, play games, chat, make them worried sick when you do dumb shit - it’s great. 

Sometimes at dusk you like to go up to the roof of the apartment block you and your bro live in and stand right on the edge. It’s so high up you can see around for miles, and everything below you looks like a speck of dust beneath your feet. The stars twinkle above you in the darkening sky, just barely visible, and you think, every now and then, that you are very, very small. 

- A FNAF animatronic design and name

You’re a broken down animatronic, probably one of the earliest of your kind. Maybe even a prototype? Nobody really remembers anymore. You’ve just kind of always been there, at the back of the store, half a body and more coherent than people expect you to be, but never fully quite there. Your head lulls back and forth, your arms moving sluggishly, and in order to get around, you drag yourself across the floor.

You can speak, but not by much. It’s glitchy and switched out more often than not, absolutely terrifying to hear in the dark - but you’re a pretty sweet soul, all things considered. The few who’ve been brave enough to slip back behind the old, abandoned doors, past the cobwebs and through the narrow halls, who haven’t run at the first sight of you, tell tales of a sweet carcass who seemed more scared of being found than anything else. 

There are a couple kids who routinely come back to visit you. They like to give you things they’ve found outside the pizzaria, mostly coins and old dice and things that smell sweet to try and cover up how musty you are. 

You’ve never hurt a soul the entire time you’ve been there, but your reputation has been built on the whispers of kids who’ve seen the rotting maw of your muzzle, the glint of your endoskeleton and the shine of your eyes in the dark. They call you Thing - as if giving you a name will make you come to life. 

The ones that know you better call you Peppi. 

- A BNHA Quirk and hero title

Your Quirk is Corroding Touch. Despite its name, and how terrifying it sounds, your quirk is pretty simple! Anything you touch wastes away, and you can control how far along its own personal timeline it decays through. For instance, you could touch a flower and have it start wilting, and stop there on its timeline - or you could have it waste away to a point that it decays completely and turns to mush. 

The drawback here is that what you’re doing is essentially speeding up a natural process. Things that don’t waste away without outside forces - such as rocks through erosion - won’t be affected by your quirk. Things that live very long lives before decaying - such as turtles - will take up a lot more of your time to speed them through their natural timeline. Finally, you can’t reverse what you’ve done. Once you’ve sped it through its natural timeline, there’s no going back; another quirk will have to undo the effects.

Of course, it also means that if you plant an oak seed, instead of waiting hundreds of years for it to grow into an oak tree, you can just use your quirk to speed up the process. So it’s a good-bad thing!

Your hero title is the Wasteful Hero: Corrosion. You’re a sort of last-resort hero, and you don’t like being in the limelight. Your quirk is dangerous if not handled correctly, so you work on a team with another hero who has a counter-effective quirk to yours (essentially Hyper Growth!). A lot of civillians are scared of you, but that’s okay. You know that what you do is important, and that your ranking doesn’t matter so long as you’re saving lives.

You are a little bitter, though, that your partner is several ranks ahead of you.

gonna write a long post about the nicest person i know who i’ll probably never see again :’[

it’s an interesting story, but i wouldn’t blame you for not wanting to take the time to read it. do what you’d like!

it was after 7th grade just ended; i wasn’t in the best place emotionally, things kinda sucked. i was excited for camp, however, something i always looked forward to. i got placed in a bunk and stuff, of which there were 4; i was happy with the counselors, too (their names were ariel and jared). i was kinda bummed that one of my favorite counselors, named eli, wasn’t working there as a counselor anymore - he still worked at the camp, but whatever position he had i didn’t see him around as much. 

at camp i would carry around a drawing notebook and a fanny pack, in which i had pens, pencils, the like. i soon noticed that another counselor, named shai, had a fanny pack; no, we didn’t ‘bond’ over it or whatever, but that’s one thing that made him grab my attention. 

my camp is a ramah camp, which is a jewish camp; one of the activities that we’d have were a kind of elective we’d sign up for, called ‘shiur’ (literally means work), which integrated jewish learning with some activity - sometimes it’d be calligraphy, or pokemon, or super heroes. during first session i chose the pokemon shiur. normally, during the shiur period, counselors would go off and have a meeting. but, for some reason, shai would always hang out near where we’d have our pokemon shiur. i knew, of course, that this was because of julian.

i don’t know a specific reason why, but camp ramah tends to have a good number of autistic kids going there; some of them have a specific ‘caretaker’ of sorts who are with them to make sure they’re okay. my sister had one, my friend abby, and julian - shai tended to be with him and made sure he was okay. (something i find fascinating about julian was how he loved drawing road maps and signage)

it just so happened that julian picked the same shiur as me both sessions -pokemon in first and super heroes in second - so shai tended to be around. in this way i got to get to know him.

he noted my art on several occasions - he said that i’d be good at doing henna considering how frequently i’d draw on the back of my hand; when making the banners for color war, he said he’d abduct me so i could do the banner for his team (no abducting ever occurred, lol)

shai is a very funny person - i don’t know his mbti type, but i’m dead set on him being an nf. he was nice to be around, and i keep describing him as ‘supportive’; no wonder why, considering the circumstances of most of second session.

near the end of each session, we would have an overnight trip we’d go on (for two nights, three days). on the first trip, shai unfortunately wasn’t able to come for whatever reason. it was still a fun trip, but i still missed him.

come second session, however, and things would be different - shai was able to come with us on our trip to baltimore! i ended up sitting in the back of the coach bus, and shai was sitting across from me. something i noted is that he’s one to ask ‘you okay?’ a lot. and i mean a lot. 

on the first day of the trip, we went to the national aquarium, got caught in a downpour, and watched an orioles vs yankees baseball game in the rain. we arrived at the synagogue we were staying in and went to bed; i got my typical 7 hours of sleep.

the next day we went to six flags! i chose the slow group because i’m a wimp. i had been wearing my galaxy hoodie at the time; when we stopped to have lunch, shai seemed concerned about me. woop

we went back into six flags after lunch; at one point we went on some raft ride type thing, and we were sitting on a bench in the sun to dry off (we’d gotten drenched). i was still wearing my hoodie (which, i may note, is rather thick). eventually shai’s group came around and they sat next to us on the bench. 

shai checked the temperature on his phone, which was 90 degrees farenheit, so he said that i should probably take off my hoodie; i was only convinced after the “do it for me” thing that people do that just sells it. note: after his group left i put the hoodie back on lmao, now that’s a story i tell a lot (along with the story of eli having gone illegally ziplining with jesus)

that night, for whatever reason, i slept terribly. i fell asleep at 10:40 and woke up 48 minutes later, at 11:28. i was left sitting in the dark, super bored; i watched counselors walk in and out of the room, i counted to 1000, i went to the bathroom to sing to myself, i looked out the window. either way i had to wait 8 hours for everyone else to get up.

by this time this was the last day on the trip, and we were going to go to an elderly home. we packed up our stuff, something i did quickly. i then kind of wandered aimlessly around the room, waiting for everyone else to finish. this prompted another ‘you okay?’ from the shaister. 

i managed to nap on the bus, but only for half an hour. we eventually got to the place; we were going to talk to them, give them ceramic gifts that people had apparently made, and that one kid who can play any song on the piano by ear just went off. 

you may know that i’m a rather shy person; this, for whatever reason, felt like any party i’d ever been to - isolated and very anxious. there were a number of girls who said they were scared, but they weren’t shy - they were just scared of old people or something. shai convinced them that old people are not scary, then came to console me; he noted that people used the pun of “shy” and “shai” sounding similar on him a lot, but now he could actually use that himself. he didn’t pressure me to do anything i didn’t want to, and even suggested going outside if i really felt uncomfortable. i probably should’ve gone outside, but i didn’t. eventually we all went outside anyway to have rita’s ices, but i didn’t want any. 

i’m pretty sure that’s all the trip stuff, but there’s more afterward. there are some stupid inconsequential things that i just find kind of amusing, to say the least. for one thing, there were these tacky plastic champagne glasses that the counselors had for whatever reason; there was this show going on, and everyone was bored out of their minds. shai just gave me one of these stupid glasses with no context, for the lulz or whatever. my response was to draw a smiley face on it with sharpie and give it back. he found this rather amusing.

one day i brought this shark plushie to camp, whom i called ‘smore’ because he looked like a marshmallow. shai insisted it was a piranha just to annoy the heck out of us, an argument that lasted two days.

another thing, one of the counselors was going to be leaving for israel before camp ended, so we had this whole thing where basically you could give a shoutout to anybody and thank them; i decided to thank the counselors in general, as most teenagers wouldn’t tolerate leading around a bunch of loud middle schoolers; shai knew i was a rather shy person, so he said that it was a very good thing of mine to do. 

my age group was actually an amalgamation of several age groups - rising 6th graders, rising 7th graders, and rising 8th graders. being in the latter group, i was going to take part in some stupid graduation. and, you see, we all had to write speeches for it.

i wrote a speech, whatever, which mostly consisted of thanking counselors (in general i get along better with figures of authority, eg. counselors or teachers or whatever rather than fellow kids). i was very worried about the whole ordeal, but i did it; afterwards shai said he was proud of me for giving my speech despite how anxious i was about it.

and note how i never outright told the guy how anxious i was about any of these things - he’s just the type of person who knows; i always value people like that, given how i never tell anyone anything :’]

when it came to the last day of camp, i wanted to make sure shai knew how thankful i was for everything he did for me. i didn’t know a single other person who was half as validating and supportive of me as he was. but, being me, i couldn’t just tell him. no, i had to make a hand out of pipe cleaners, write a card, fold it up and make it look like an ice cream cone, put the folded card into the hand, and then awkwardly give it to him.

he initially said he’d read it later; but soon enough he read it and then i got a shai hug. yea!

welp everything after camp sucked! before school started i was so worried how i’d cope with my dumb issues without shai being there; i came to miss him a ton. like really, a ton.

before that summer, i had camp dreams like, heck, maybe once or twice a year?

but since that summer of 2019, i’ve had ~15+ camp dreams. i really missed him. i longed for the support he’d give me when i was anxious, for the knowledge that somebody understood me. i eventually started having headaches a lot, so i came to ‘think’, “oh! he’s trying to telepathically talk to me!”

i never did believe that to be the case, but imagining that i could talk to shai was comforting. every day i’d talk into my hand, telling him how my day went, asking him about his, and sometimes singing him a song or something. this came to be a normal thing i did routinely. i would get worried when i didn’t get headaches for a while, as i perceived those as him ‘responding’, so i would think i did something wrong.

i would frequently worry about if i’d ever see him again - i had no way of knowing if he’d be a counselor at camp this year. then covid-19 came and i knew he couldn’t. at some points it really bothered me how much my mental health revolved around this person who i knew for around 2 months and who i’ll probably never see again.

as of now, i still do miss him. i still had camp dreams. i literally had one last night, where i saw shai and was trying to call out to him, but he didn’t hear me. i still do ‘talk’ to him, but it’s not like i think i’m actually speaking to him. but heck, if it’s comforting to me, there’s no reason not to. 

but really, shai seems more like a figment of my imagination now. it’s been a year since i’ve last seen him. was he ever real? 

i would draw him sometimes, imagine what it’d be like to talk to him again. how i wish i could talk to him again. 

there are so many silly little things i remember about shai - his poofy hair, his aviator sunglasses, how his fanny pack had writing on it in red sharpie and had multiple sunscreens in it, how he almost got hit by a cookie... 

shai is the nicest person i’ve ever known, and it’s a shame that i’ll probably never see him again. he’s the kind of person i want to be - i want to be able to understand people and cheer them up when they’re upset. i want to have poofy hair and call people ‘bud’ unironically...

oh to be you, shai...

Hey there! and yeeesss, i’m so glad you’re gonna give anime a try! there are so many good stories and plots in anime which dont exist in western media so it’s a great mode of entertainment! so as for recs, lemme copy and paste my previous answer to this similar question and update it to answer yours!

Neon Genesis Evangelion - i admit it has a slow buildup but be patient because you will really find it intense and see how it’s not your typical mecca anime. so far, i think it seems to be a deconstruction of the genre and has alot of psychological themes

Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood - i dont know why my memory about this anime is somehow a blur. i’m sure i finished it but also not so i’m rewatching it and honestly i think this is a good starter anime. i know many people who do not normally watch anime and watched this

Boku no Hero Academia - it’s a recent anime and it’s really good! i think it’s on course to becoming a really big anime that will last many seasons at this rate. the story is about a world where majority of the inhabitants are heroes cause they have quirks (powers).. and the premise is that the main character doesnt have one but he wants to be a hero so watch and see how the story unfolds

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventures (currently on Stardust Crusaders) - macho anime with an excellent plot! the guys are hot haha and many of the memes are in japanese so watch the original subbed but if you prefer not to read, the dub isnt bad. it’s very memey but the story is really entertaining and has unpredictable moments

One Punch Man - a parody of a superhero anime. tbh this isnt really binge-watch material cause it’s like a running gag and the story unfolds after episode 5 so i’ve just been watching this during my cardio days in the gym. but it’s a parody of a superhero anime

Hunter X Hunter - this anime is popular and it’s about hunters. so the beginning has the protagonist wanting to be a hunter and then he meets some fellow hunters along the way. it’s one of the highest rated anime in MyAnimeList (the RottenTomatoes equivalent of the anime world) so yeah check this out!

Tokyo Ghoul - the opening song is what captivated me to watch this tbh. although i heard the manga is better. it’s interesting though

Gakuen Babysitters - super feel good anime about babies!!!!! 

Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun - super funny anime. if you need a laugh, this will really lift you up. i watched the first two episodes in sub and dub back to back.. and i can vouch that the voice actors for the English dub are excellent. it’s actually even funnier.. but if you prefer subs, then that’s fine. it’s just the lines are more humorous, expressive and have more variety :) Nozaki’s voice is also attractive in the dub.. it’s still very Nozaki imo. this anime pokes fun at the shoujo manga yet still has romantic elements. it’s mostly comedy though 

Shingeki no Kyojin / Attack on Titan - it’s the Game of Thrones of anime imo.. like it’s so GOOD.. it will just make you gag after every episode!!! it’s so intense and there are really badass characters. and the plot is really brilliant. like if you think season 1 was like WHAT THE FUCkk.. wait til season 2! this anime is crazy and exciting. not for the faint-hearted tbh cause it can be graphic and disturbing (also dont get attached. they could die!) but yeah, this anime is popular true and some say it’s overrated but that’s because it really deserves all the recognition and success it has for its amazing plot

Anime watched/finished:

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure (Battle Tendency) - SONO CHI NO SADAMEEE JOOOOOOJOOOOOOOOOOOOOO the type of anime that’ll get you wanting to go to the gym and lift. that being said, it has a really amazing story

Kimi no Na Wa - universally lauded and recently released! it’s the best film released in 2016 imo. i swear it’s really next level storytelling

Rurouni Kenshin - i think i watched this anime twice/thrice.. It’s so suspenseful. it’s about samurais. and this anime made me interested about Japan’s history. it’s kind of a period drama with amazing fight sequences. and it’s critically acclaimed. it’s my father’s all-time favourite anime

Rurouni Kenshin OVA - it’s a prequel. also more violent and tragic than its anime counterpart.. like it’s really different from the series. but it’s so good. you’ll find out how Kenshin got his iconic X mark from here!)

Ghost Stories - THE DUB IS A MASTERPIECE! THE SUBBED IS SHIT. TRUST ME. the DUB is the popular one too cause it’s the superiour version. You really have to see this one. the anime bombed in Japan so the english dubbers got all the rights for the anime and they gave the go signal for the dubbers to do whatever the fuck they want and the end result is fucking hilarious. it shits on the Scary Movie Franchise tbh

Puella Magi Madoka Magica - i swear do not be deceived.. it is a really intense and surprisingly dark anime with excellent plot twists

Jigoku Shoujo / Hell Girl - angst, tragedy, philosophical anime analysing humanity’s hatred, need for vengeance, and suffering. Futakomori or the 2nd season is my favourite but it’s worth finishing the entire series. 3rd season is very painful to watch though and you dont have to watch that one tbh if you dont want to lol

Love Live! School Idol Project - i honestly just watched this like out of curiosity and just for kicks. i was not expecting to love it but after episode 3, i was like wait??? wasnt this anime supposed to be fun?? why am i crying?? so yeah, it’s super good, touching, entertaining and sweet! and the songs are really catchy and good.. TBH this anime is like so gay since there are no men (except Honoka’s dad) so yeah it passes the Bechdel Test with perfect score

Love Live! Movie - the conclusion to the anime!

Love Live! Sunshine - i watched this like a few months after finishing the original series cause i loved the original girls and i was worried i wont like these girls.. but honestly, you will appreciate them. and it has more gay subtext. btw tell me who your fave girls/best girls are after watching Love Live and Sunshine. my best girls are Umi Sonoda and Kanan Matsuura :>

Yu Yu Hakusho - occult, spirit world, ghosts, and fighting. you most probably have heard of this

Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters - 1st series starring Yugi is iconic. it might seem juvenile though so i’m not sure if you will like it but the anime is really good if you love the card games

Digimon - can be very intense! better than Pokemon imo

Cardcaptor Sakura - this is also suspenseful. like the premise is essentially that Sakura has to catch all the “monsters” that were freed from this book. and it’s up to her to “capture” them and put into cards. magic, fantasy, and beautiful animation

Ranma ½ - this was so funny but the ending was disappointing cause it got cancelled apparently.. i really hope this will go out of limbo and give us a proper ending like InuYasha did but i doubt it

Danganronpa (murder plot twists, intense and despair-filled storyline. click this to know more about the premise. it’s like Battle Royale meets CSI meets How To Get Away With Murder. btw i highly suggest you play this game (it’s available on Steam) instead of watching the poorly condensed anime. so buy it on steam or you can download it how you like cause it’s one of the best games ever. and if you plan on watching this, there is no Danganronpa 2 anime so yeah just play the first game tbh. here’s a trailer of the game https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RwJeZPMhdUk. if ya dont wanna play the games then you can watch the anime. and after watching this, here’s a link of the playthrough of the 2nd game. it’s super fun, full of plot twists, and interactive)

Also I actually do really like that Silver got an androgenous design without having a “reason”. Like uuhh, what i mean is the idea of him being cutesy and ‘feminine’ just cos his fashion sense is androgenous, and such. Anime tends to go all-in with the gender essentialism and be like ‘must have stereotypically gendered personality of the opposite gender’ instead of even just.. person looks like neither.. might have stereotypes of neither. And i mean in real life there are plenty of LGBT or gender non-conforming people who might be a dude with long hair who’s a tough sports fan, or a short haired girl who likes feminine hobbies or whatever. or just no correlation whatsoever between how you like to dress and what gender stereotypes you do or don’t have. Man when I was a kid I always felt weirdly pressured to enjoy sports and stop finding pet bunnies cute or else lose my ‘tomboy card’. aka the closest thing 90s era kids ahd to a conception of what being transgender is, lol. (man i wonder if i could have missed so many years of self hate if i grew up on today’s cartoons that have more canoncical non-negatively portrayed LGBT characters...)

Oh and also randomly a chance to mention how much i love Crona from Soul Eater, again! A canonical non-binary hero who’s 100% just portrayed as a normal person who exists and is nonbianyr. No overblown weird obsession with ‘uwu how sexay its a boy in a dress’ or ‘omg how weird we cant tell what gender it is’ or ‘omg stereotypical flambouyant scary gay tropes applied to a trans person who isnt really actually nonbinary but just comes off that way because this author somehow thinks that being gay and being trans are the same thing, and also that trans women are something less than full women’. And seriously Crona doesn’t have any steroetypical personality of either gender, and is a REALLY REFRESHING case of a socially anxious character being portrayed without either kind of weird gendered stereotype anime seems to have. Like the ‘uwu sexy helpless child’ if it’s a female characetr, or the ‘gross creepy nerd’ or ‘is allowed to perv on everyone because ha ha he doesnt realise he’s doing anything wrong’ version for male characters. Nah just.. shy person. Exists. Actual realism. Nothing else. kinda wish we could give more of this to the cis characters too, yknow? like seriously even nowadays we only tend to see ‘subversion! this anxious woman is actually gross and otaku instead of sexy!’ or whatever. just flipping the script instead of thinking ‘hey maybe we could write this personality like a personality instead of a pile of prewritten lines that nobody actually says in real life?’ ALSO ALSO!! I really like how Crona’s plot actually goes out of its way to subvert the idea of ‘must have a reason to be gender non-conforming’. Like there’s soooo much ‘this girl was forced to act like a boy because contrived circumstance and is really cis’ or ‘this character is just super depraved and thats why they act queer’ or ‘this character isnt human and their species is all nonbinary and thats the only reason they’re nonbinary’ or ‘this character got in a magic space rays accident that gave him a female body even though he was born cis, and him still identifying as male is thus kinda the opposite of what being trans is, yet we simulteanously use it as a chance to Talk About Why Trans Is Scary’. like the big sad twist of Crona’s plot is that they ARENT some magical created homunculus which would be an ‘excuse’ for being genderless. Its supposed to be a huge ‘holy fuck let me hug you’ moment when you find out they were actually the villain’s actual child that she experimented on as a toddler to turn them into a weapon. And like they also give a resounding no to the ‘crona identifies as genderless because they are two people in one body' thing because ragnorok is male. The actual creepy homunculus demon blood thing is the one who’s cis! Reminds me of how pissed off i get whenever people throw around the false fact that “Qus are a genderles species” in final fantasy 9. No, Quina is the only one who gets neutral pronouns, and the other two we meet of this magical fantasy species are both male. Quina is queer within the game’s world as well as ours! Also incidentally for some reason Quale was changed to female in certain european countries? I wonder why that even happened because he’s male in japanese too. Like thats an actual decision someone made, not a mistake. Maybe someone out there in the dubbing team crossed paths with my Really Weird Evidenceless Headcanon That Quan is Quale’s Ex Boyfriend and decided to pull a crusadermon censorship on him. Also that was funny because Crusadermon was a male-only species for ages in japanese, and female-only in english, so then when the japanese continuity introduced a female Crusadermon in one of the videogames it would give her an entirely different impression in the dub. Like the twist of her identity was way less surprising because we never had this perception of this species of magical robot monster as being male only. Though it was still a pleasant surprise in both versions to see a female alphamon! or transgender themes with a character who switched identity from male to female upon becoming human? it wasn’t super clear but either way she’s awesome!

whatever in summary this is my reasons for still giving redesign-silver an androgenous fashion sense whenever he’s in different outfits, even though his hairstyle got shortified. You Have Implied The Potential LGBT Relateability, You Can No Longer Remove It. Also him and gold is a really cute ship in the manga, so i can’t not see him as gay/bi/pan. Every Route Leads To LGBT For This Man, Sorry You Cannot Stop It. ALSO crona and quina are great characters also, even if they have nothing in common with silver so this post is a big ol ramble of nothing i guess New Pokemon News just made me really hyper!

Miscellaneous things I liked about Sun and Moon

-Kukui coming to your house and just letting himself in.

-Kukui asking the main character to find the kahuna without actually giving a short fill in on who he is, other than “he looks just like a kahuna”.

-the little wobble effect when you’re crossing the bridge to save Nebby.

-The main character asking Lillie if she’s a kahuna, either jokingly or because they genuinely have no idea what a kahuna is.

-Hau’s theme. I mean, I’m psyched for Hau in general, but I really loved his music.

-the cutscenes. No seriously. I like reading dialogue and interactions between characters. The cutscenes at the beginning of the game really set the right mood and tone for me imo.

-Trainer models behind their Pokémon during battles.

-finding Ledybas on route 1.

-Kukui yelling “Oh yeah, Rockruff! My body is ready!” from inside his lab, giving the impression of a hilarious double entendre.

-The Rotom pokédex’s witty personality.

-And the wide variety of Pokédex entries ranging from “really sweet” to “how did this get past ERSB’s ratings?”

-just the sentiment of going out into the islands with your starter and just one or two low level Pokemon.

-Pokémon Refresh!! I had no idea how much of an improvement Refresh was to Amie! Like you can just give a Pokemon two sparkly rainbow beans and they’ll love you forever!

-the ability to just go into a PC and grab your pokémon or move it around without any of that “withdraw or deposit” bullshit.

-that adorable scene where Rotom takes a picture of you, Hau, and Lillie.

-Rotom thirsting over “that dreamboat Ilima”.

-The Skull grunts at the berry farm. More specifically the one who had self-esteem issues.

-when the Skull grunts think you can’t tell them apart cause they’d switched positions so they swap places and are like “how’s that?”

-Totem Pokémon being three times larger than they normally would and scaring the crap outta you.

-The fuckin anime-ass pose your main character does whenever they get a Z-crystal

-in fact Z-moves in general. A lot of older fans seem to dislike them but honestly they were one of the only things that convinced me to buy the game.

-Ride Pokémon!!!!No HMs!!!!!!!

-Also being able to program any Ride Pokémon on the D-pad. That’s become like second nature to me.

-that cutscene when you’re on the boat from Melemele to Akala island.

-and that little exchange between Lillie, Hau, and Kukui when they reach the shore.

-The shopping music. Holy fuck do I even need to tell you how amazing the shopping music is in this Gen???

-meeting Dexio and Sina again. I didn’t really care for the whole Zygarde thing but just seeing those two again was really sweet.

-Paniola Ranch and its chill af vibes.

-Lana trying to find a “strapping young swimmer” when she’s supposed to be guiding you through her trial.

-and her trying to convince you that her trial site has a Kyogre in it.

-The frickin Water type Z-move dance. Oh my god that wavy hula dance is the cutest thing ever.

-The whole “Professor Kukui wtf are you doing” “Who is this ‘Professor Kukui’ you speak of I am the Masked Royale!!” exchange.

-and then he just blurts out “and now we have our foursome!” and all the characters ignore it and move on as if that’s a normal thing to say in everyday conversation

-Kiawe’s trial. Just… everything about Kiawe’s trial.

-But mostly Hiker David.

-“Press A to pound the ingredients.”

Honestly tho that was the only redeeming quality to Mallow’s trial Totem Lurantis can go fuck itself in USUM.

-Professor Burnet’s groovin’ dimensional research lab theme.

-when Olivia does the Rock type Z-move dance and the camera just zooms in on Lillie gawking over her.

-OH YEAH that Pyukumuku chucking thing where you can get 20 000 pokédollars a day. I hope they bring that back because that was a real good way of making cash.

-And those missions in Pokécentres where if you’ve caught a set amount of Pokémon or if you’ve caught a specific Pokémon they’ll pay you like 10 000 dollars or something.

-Meeting Wicke for the first time and her being incredibly sweet and nice.

-That small bit when Hau can’t believe that Lusamine’s more than 40 years old and she’s really flattered.

-battling Nihilego for the first time.

-That scene on the boat to Ula’Ula Island where Hau talks to you and offers you a Malasada. That really solidified his friendship with the main character for me.

-Speaking of which that part where you’re at Malie Garden and Hau asks “hey, did you know-“ and you can just say “yah i know” and he’s like “dude come on I haven’t even asked the question yet.”

-that little side quest where you have to find a woman’s eight Stuffuls on route 10 that’s like really sweet but also why does she have so many stuffus?

-The Skull grunts who fucking try to steal a bus stop sign.

-Molayne. I liked his relationship with Kukui and Sophocles.

-and I especially liked the part where he gave you Kukui’s mask and when you give it to him Kukui’s just like “oH uhhhhh I’ll um give it back to the Masked Royale when I uh see him”

-Blush Mountain. It has such a nice name. Blush Mountain.

-Acerola’s, um… Little brother and sister? Kids she’s babysitting? I wasn’t too clear on how they were related to her, but they were cute either way.

-the whole bit where rotom’s afraid to go into the haunted store because “spoopy scary ghosts” despite him literally also being a ghost.

-On the subject of those two kids, the event where Team Skull stole the girl’s Yungoos and she gives you a Rare Candy just to get it back fucking broke my heart like oooooohhhh sweetie you didn’t have to give me this I would have gotten your Yungoos back either way!!

-Plumeria!!She was so underrated!

-uncle Grimsley’s cointoss bit where you could pick heads or tails but if you picked neither then he’d just say that Skarmory swooped in and grabbed it in midair, even though that obviously never happened and he was just bullshitting you.

-Also just the mere fact that Grimsley refers to himself as “Uncle Grimsley”

-Nanu. Enough said.

-The fact that all the Team Skull grunts in Po town are gay. Every. Single. One of them. gay

-That scene where Nanu does the Dark type Z-move pose and the main character and Gladion just stare at him and there’s just an awkward pause until he goes “there you cleared your trial or whatever”.

-actually now that I think about it, Sun and Moon had a lot of subtle humour.

-when you were infiltrating Aether Paradise and a good amount of employees were set on stopping you but there was like that ten percent who were like “whoa shit’s gettin wild out here lmao do you want us to heal your ‘mons? We could even take you back if you wanted i ain’t about to lose my job over some space conspiracy fuck that noise”

-That one Skull grunt who was all like, “wanna see me get hit by a Hyper Beam?”

-When you Battle Guzma outside of Lusamine’s mansion.

-LUSAMINE’S BATTLE THEME. HOLY SHIT.

-“Doot doo doo, just a Kahuna, taking a stroll through the laguna.”

2. What is the weirdest dream you can remember having?

just recently I had a super stressful dream I was staying in a hotel room with two people I knew but not that well apparently, in my dream, and one of them ??? Uh, flung themselves out the window when I wasn't there, and died? And the Roomate was like "well she won't need this anymore" and handed me her room card??? But then we suspected it was actually a Homicide so we were like, gotta go investigate this hotel down the street, and as we were leaving I saw this lady with a floral print shirt on and her black hair up in a messy bun? She's Important later.

We search the other hotel but like, predictably don't find much? I think we were getting our friends because there was more of us when we went back but we saw that same Floral Shirt lady again (in the second hotel as we were leaving)and was weird but unremarkable so we left it alone and then we went back to the first hotel?(saw that floral shirt lady in the first hotel again, btw.) And we couldn't get into it again, because none of us had a keycard. Except my friend snatched my phone and was like "Hold on dunkass I got this" and pulled the room card out of my phone wallet? I don't have a phone wallet??? This is wild. So we open the room and all the furniture is PINK like the lovely set from animal crossing instead of neutral colors like normal hotel rooms. Also it was kinda set up like my classrooms I used to teach toddlers in? With a sink/counter/cabinets set into one wall facing into the square room, idk man. And some of the furniture pieces were clearly missing? There were silhouettes where they should be? Bruh it was weird. And one of my friends was like "Wait, I got it, what else is green and pays the bills???" And as they asked that, a family of three (wife husband little girl age 10) shows up, and is like, "uhhhhh we're supposed to be checking into this room," and we were like oh shit sorry let us just get out of your way, but the little girl kept staring at me? And I tried to go and explain to her what was going on but she kept backing away until she like, sprinted away down the hall and disappeared.

"BRAD BRADSON," by the way, is the answer to that earlier posed question, and we're like, freaking out trying to figure out how to contact the head of B.O.B HR and we see the floral shirt woman again. "hey wait haven't we seen you before?" "MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESSSSSSS" and then I woke up. I never got ahold of Brad. It was so stressful.

3. If you could give your past self advice what would it be?

You think these people are your friends and they will do nothing to hurt you ever, but you're wrong. stay far away from the tall boy and your neighbors across the street. Trust me.

Pokemon Shield playthrough - Part 6

This post covers up through the Fire Gym in Motostoke.

Now, since we’ve already been in Motostoke, you’d think we could just fly back there, but the game has to find a reason for us to go into this new area. Apparently Gym Leaders are allowed to just hang out in a cave when the Gym Challenge is going on, so we have to go find the guy.

We barely make it two steps in when our rival Bede shows up again. His party seems rather under-leveled - I was hoping to see what his Hatenna evolved into.

He also managed to find a Galarian Ponyta. Too bad it’ll be a while before I see one in the wild :(

We’ve finally impressed Bede enough for us to get his league card. Interesting how they don’t say his family /died/, just that they “ran into some trouble”. What if his family were bad people, like evil team leaders?

After that battle, I need to heal. I /could/ go back to the Pokemon Center...

But curry is faster :)

These plates of “Decorative Curry” look cute. You think the “Binging with Babish” YouTube show will ever try to make cute Pokemon curry?

Anyway, back to the man-hunt. This mine is a bit different from Galar Mine #1. This one is a bit more open and has more water. I like the way the lights reflect.

There I was, just walking along, when this Pokemon totally surprised me...

Never would have guessed that /this/ Pokemon would have a Galar form. It’s definitely more intimidating than before.

It really is pretty in here. I wonder if this is where they get evolution stones? Kinda reminds of of the Sinnoh Underground.

There’s an area past the water that I can’t reach yet. I’ll have to remember to come back.

Finally, I find the Gym Leader.

Then we’re out again into fresh air. This is the route east of Motostoke that I couldn’t take before because a Corviknight was blocking the way.

In the grass here, I find a Shuckle. Shuckle is kinda a favorite of mine, ever since I stole one off that guy in Cianwood.

Starting to see more evolved Pokemon show up. I already have a HootHoot, but catching its evolution is quicker than level grinding.

Hmm, looks like the Koffing in this region aren’t special, only the Wheezing. Will they evolve at the same level as Koffing always have?

Also in this area, I find Bede’s Psychic Pokemon for myself. Is its name a mix of “hat” and antenna”? Or maybe it’s “hate” and “antenna”?

I encounter this rather Cockney-sounding cop. Why doesn’t he go after Team Yell or something instead of bothering me?

I’m getting close to Motostoke now, just had to stop and admire the view from this bridge.

In Motostoke, the story requires me to head to the inn. Once there, I get into another fight with Marnie.

Not sure why she gives me Kabu’s league card instead of her own, but oh well. Maybe it will appreciate and I can re-sell it in a few decades for a tidy sum.

Before I challenge Kabu, there’s a couple things I want to do first.

For example, I give two of my Pokemon hold items that I feel might possibly help them evolve. My Milcery gets a Strawberry Sweet, and my Applin gets a Leppa Berry to hold. Leppa berries are basically small apples, right?

Now that I have two badges, I head back to the Wild Area’s haunted watchtower to catch some of the ghosts there.

I also discover that you /can/ get other Pokemon to fall out of Berry trees besides Skwovet. That’s how I met this Cherubi. So we had an apple fighting a cherry. It’s like a battle of pie flavors.

It must be awful to be a meteorologist in the Galar region. You can have bright sun, rain, and snowfall all within a square mile.

I can’t help taking lots of pictures when there’s a pretty sunset.

I also get the crazy idea to head toward the northeast side of the Wild Area, past the bridge, just to see how far I can get.

They seem to have better Berries over here.

But it’s not just normal squirrels in the trees anymore; it’s gigantic, derpy-looking brutes. It’s like the evolution from a cute Bunnelby into a Diggersby - you can’t help feeling a little disappointed >.>

Looks like there’s one of each evolution stone in the Wild Area. The fire one was next to what I assume is a steam pipe. I’m assuming the location means something?

As I enter the “Bridge Field” area, the music changes to something with more bagpipes.

You can see the dragon-themed city over there. Wonder if I could reach it from here? Will an awkward roadblock pop up to stop me?

Another raid battle. This guy reminds me of a Chinese dragon.

Speaking of battles, I was wondering when my purple dinosaur would evolve, and if I had to do anything special. But nope, just level it up and...

Apparently there is more than one form to this Pokemon? I wonder if it’s related to how you raise it - or maybe the game version.

It also has a new ability, which boosts sound-based moves. Not that it /knows/ any sound-based moves, of course...

There are some scary high-level Pokemon around here, like this Level 50 Drapion. I use Poke Dolls way more in this game than in past ones.

Hmm? What could this little orange ball of a Pokemon be?

Yay! It’s the elephant! Strangely, it’s a pure Steel type. It almost looks like a digger/backhoe with that trunk.

And there’s the Water Stone. I hope these are also for sale somewhere.

Look, it’s a house! Wonder who would live way out here.

Oh, it’s just another Nursery? I don’t see the point of having more than one in a region. This one doesn’t even give me a free Pokemon!

There are a lot of ways to spend Watts in the Wild Area. These guys will give you some random items, but none of them seem especially good. Maybe I can get fossils from them?

In the bushes, I find my first Ultra Ball. You can bet I’ll be saving that.

Past the bridges, there’s just a straight shot to Hammerlocke.

I love how the time of day and weather can change just by passing under a bridge.

I didn’t explore too in-depth here, just wanted to get a feel for the area. And take more scenic pictures, of course.

Annoyingly, only people who have defeated Kabu in combat can enter. Really, you think /everyone/ living in Hammerlocke has a Fire Badge?

At least I was able to buy some new curry ingredients. What Pokemon are the Brittle Bones made out of? Or the Sausages, for that matter?

Finally I’m ready to go back to Motostoke and try the Gym. The weather sure is ominous...

A quick look at my current team and levels before I enter.

I really like the logo of this Gym. It looks like samurai helmet. Fitting, since Kabu comes from Hoenn, which is one of the Japan-based regions.

The Gym mission is pretty simple - just fight some Pokemon.

There was another trainer in the Pokemon fights too. Sometimes they would attack the enemy and sometimes me, so I’m not really sure what they were doing.

How nice of them to let me catch the Pokemon, though :) This one will grow up to be a beautiful Chandelure.

Finally, it’s time for the main event.

Centiskorch really does look cool. I think this is a Gigantamax form?

As it turns out, though, all it needed was a 4x-effective Rock Blast to take it down.

Wow, I thought my little coal Pokemon was going to end up as a train, but this is cool too. Congrats, Brittany. You deserve it for winning that battle for me.

Lots of the Galar Pokemon get new moves, like this one.

I think Kabu was actually easier than Nessa to beat, but that’s probably just due to the make-up of my Pokemon team.

Another day, another badge.

As I prepare to leave Motostoke and head to Hammerlocke (for real, this time), the first three Gym leaders come to see me off.

Bede just has to show up again, but fortunately he challenges Hop this time, so I can continue on my journey.

I update my league card to show off my new victory. (You might have noticed my new look too :) )

(One little frustration - this guy won’t let me re-do the Gym mission. But I saw a Vulpix in there that I wanted to catch!)

all things considered this evening was fantastic. i won a bottle cap in the lottery (after winning a gold one the other day AND a master ball yesterday), i listened to two episodes of the adventure zone, AND the pokemon competition sign-ups opened again so i registered right away.

i even got up more or less on time. i slept in a little bit... just until 9:40. i took off some of the surgical tape while i was in the shower and found the incisions were a lot smaller than i thought they would be. they haven’t healed fully yet but i don’t think the tape was going to be much help at this point anyway. and it’s been way longer than the 10 day period i was supposed to keep them on.

i left the three strips of tape covering my bellybutton on because when i see the small puddle of blood that they picked up i figure that cut is either a lot deeper than the others, or that part of your abdomen is just really bloody? since the tape hadn’t even loosened up over that area i just left it alone. i managed to scrub off a lot more of the bandage residue too. now i just look like i got poked really hard in a couple places. with a knife.

as i wrote earlier i asked dad if he wanted thai food for lunch. over an hour after i asked he started yelling for me and asked where i’d been and if i wanted to go or not. i told him i’d been waiting for him and he acted like it was my responsibility to just... come down and check in on time every ten minutes until he wanted to leave or something? 

so we went out for thai. even though elton john was on the radio i was pretty hurried about putting my headphones in to project more closed-offness so maybe that would discourage dad from trying to talk about politics with me. i guess it worked because he didn’t say anything going there or coming back except to talk about how i was handling the food.

i got super sick but i’m not gonna let that stop me. for a bit during the car ride i thought about deliberately keeping information from people and how weird it felt. over the years my silence has gone from “i have a reason not to say this” to “i don’t have a reason to say this.” i guess that makes it wayyyyy easier to keep secrets. 

maybe that’s part of what is taking up all my mental energy. keeping which people i’m not telling what information straight is a hassle but i can’t not do it. 

i was kinda bummed because i asked for my dish to be “between mild and medium” since they don’t have the 5-scale at that restaurant, but the chef must have thought i was a baby or something because there was no spice at all in neither the soup nor my noodles. i felt kinda bad about asking them to water down their dish so much, and it really didn’t taste as complete without the spice. the soup was kinda sour and since it didn’t have any bite it came off as salty. it was still really good with the lemongrass and stuff but i miss eating spicy things so much already. 

i guess it feels, like, almost inappropriate to ask a family-owned place like that to make their dish bland. it bothered me even though i am physically incapable of eating spicy food for at least a few more days/weeks and i just like their food so much. getting sick was totally worth it at least.

going full “hot” level is always too much for me to handle but i feel like maybe if i burn myself on my food enough times i’ll start building a tolerance for it. i handle most mexican food just fine.

anyway, eve has made some headway on chewing through her bandage. not a lot of headway, but i noticed the tape we had held the gauze together with is broken in a lot of places. enough that the gauze has come unraveled around her ankle. it’s already gotten so dirty from her walking around the yard and stuff that i’m not sure re-wrapping it would be a good idea. the wounds on her leg are kind of exposed and i don’t want to get them dirty at all.

tomorrow i’m gonna try to drive. i got therapy in the afternoon. i haven’t taken painkillers in roughly a week now and i can bend over in most directions. and it’s well after when a normal follow-up appointment would be so i figure i should be at least mostly good to go.

god though the adventure zone is so funny. i love it. i hope i can find something idle enough to do while i listen to it in the future. i’ve fished up so many bottle caps... i only need two more and i’ll have all of my *new* pokemon hyper trained. like, the shinies i had in other generations that i just couldn’t use because their stats sucked. i have a shiny altaria from my brother’s game. it’s named “churpy”.

i may require luis or eric’s aid soon. several pokemon without nicknames running around in my boxes now.

is this what... being in a good mood feels like? that is a lot of power. i’m not sure what to do with all this strange experience. it’s not that... i’m feeling physically great. my body is still telling me “there’s a giant hole where the gallbladder used to be and i don’t like it.” still not looking forward to the future or studying much physics. but... i don’t really feel particularly bad about anything?? i mostly just feel kind of sleepy. and look at that, it’s 12:30! i could go to bed at my ACTUAL BEDTIME for once. and even GET UP ON TIME!!!

i should start moving my sleep schedule up a little bit. i gotta get up for eve’s surgery on friday around 7 at the latest. i’m not gonna... not go with her. that would be really confusing and scary. if i wasn’t there to greet her and sit in the car with her after something this major.

here’s what i’m gonna do. on thursday i’m gonna see about downloading a couple episodes of the adventure zone or something. maybe on itunes, i have a gift card floating around my desk area somewhere. then i will sit in the waiting room at the office and listen to the podcast and try very hard not to laugh while waiting with other people and their sick pets.

i mean... what else am i gonna do. worst case scenario i could bring super mystery dungeon and try to play that, though toward the last few missions there my reactions were getting a little heated. they were really hard and depended a lot on the rng. but it wasn’t easy to get to the random part so you usually just end up wasting a lot of time.

it’s good to have options. i still haven’t thought about what i would like to talk with my therapist about. maybe just preparing for the move i guess. i wanted to have a few topics to “wrap up” in the next two sessions before i leave. but so much of my life the last eight months has been kind of just surviving day to day. it’s hard to pick out a theme to focus on. 

there’s not much more i can do to address my reservations about meeting my new classmates. i know that they will probably be fine to talk to and get along with but working with them will drain my confidence hardcore. i guess in that case i could talk a bit about impostor syndrome. taylor and i talked about it a little bit at my party on saturday. but it was more of a “haha i know the feel” sort of conversation than a “how do i solve this problem” one. 

one thing i could do to make myself more comfortable going in is to spend some time looking at the city on google maps and stuff. i won’t be able to do much with addresses but knowing the layout and things that are generally close to or reachable from my apartment complex might be helpful. and i could look at some more physics materials. i don’t think i’m quite at the “practice problem” point yet but... the only way to get there is to keep trying. i’ll do some of that in the morning. taz podcasts are more of an evening deal.

and, of course, i always have the rest of the self esteem modules i didn’t finish. coulddddddd be helpful to put more work into that. 

i also told mother that if it was still muggy and not death hot outside tomorrow i would take wiley for a walk. he’s been super restless the last few days. and he gets overheated when he’s got too much energy in the morning or evening and won’t stop running.

ok. battle plan. a little pressure, but not too much pressure. i will consult this entry in the morning and try to get some of those things worked on.

Adventure Log 6

___ looks at the package with great curiosity and surprise. The said item is in front of her open and filled with the needed berries for the Contests along with a small box. The card and wrapping clearly shows that it was from the Ichinomiya Corporation... ___ glances then feeds the two Pidgeys who delivered the package to her at the Pokémon Center she's at. Then she realizes that Eisuke recalls her next destination for her next gym battle. But what was inside the box? Reaching out, ___ plucks the plain container from where it sits atop the berries. When she finds a way to open it, ___ cannot help but feel shocked at what she sees. There, nestled within a silk cushion, rests an extremely high quality Everstone. ___ looks at Deino's Poké Ball then lets him out. He happily picks it up and a piece of paper falls from the cushion. ___ picks it up and reads it then giggles. Again Eisuke recalls something that she said. ___ smiles as she thinks about after another Contest with Deino and meeting Eisuke again. At that time, Deino is on a cushion curled up and a brief glow before it goes out. Seeing Eisuke's confusion, ___ explains that after acquiring from Soryu that Deino keeps stopping himself from evolving after several battles with poachers and earning badges. She also supports him in that aspect but the sad thing was that high quality stones needed for either evolving or not is extremely expensive. And now that she has one... "Isn't this great," ___ asks Deino while hiding the stone in his fur. "You won't have to evolve~" "Dein Dein Deino~" the small Dragon Pokémon laughs. ___ joins along with Minccino. ~*~ Hikaru hangs up from a call with Eisuke frowning. Apparently there has been more information to behind his parents deaths and it was imperative that he get to the main corporate building to hear it. For all Hikaru knows, it can't be Akira or Eisuke's birth father as Eisuke had actually recorded the conversation between the two men and himself one day. He even recalls fiddling with the recording to see if it was faked but it wasn't. The recording he'd been given was real. "Did I even tell Mr. Ichinomiya that," he mumbles while fingering his Greninja's Poké Ball. "Not many people outside of Shu knows about it..." Hikaru tries to think about why Eisuke even gave him that recording. He pulls out his laptop and re-runs the recorded conversation. The playback starts after a few seconds of static. The door opens and two pairs of feet enter. Both polite but one softer than the other. Some rustling echoes as someone stands. A subtle meow sounds but none of the feet pay mind to it. They walk then pause. "It's wonderful to see you again Eisuke," Akira greets. "Hello son," speaks Eisuke's father. "Akira. Dad," is Eisuke's blunt response. "Thank you for coming." A series of scrapes scratch against the carpet as the two older men sit down. "You don't normally call us both here at the same time," Akira notes. "Did something happen?" "It's with the Pokémon Hunter F problem," Eisuke frowns. "There have been many problems and I'm going to bring it up to the next board meeting and conference with other business owners. I've also been working with the police on this because he targeted one of my clients' Pokémon. According to them, mysterious deaths have decreased since twenty years ago but the kidnappings and abductions of Pokémon have increased." "I see," Akira nods with his tone frowning. "There has been recent uproars over the poaching thanks to your efforts but that won't be enough." "This is a dangerous game you are playing Eisuke," cautions Eisuke's dad. "Looking at the mysteries of the dead is not something to be taken lightly." "But here's the thing," Eisuke brings up as something whishes across the desk. There was a few seconds of silence before Akira says the names of Hikaru's parents. Hikaru pauses the recording at that. He beings to speculate that this is how Eisuke knows of his parents deaths. At some point before meeting with the Hishikura's, they were working at Ichinomiya Corporation. He pushes the play button to see if his guess is right. "Mr. and Mrs. Aihara have both worked here before and their contact information is still in the system," Eisuke's voice crackles. "Both are excellent workers but their deaths were so sudden," Akira grieves. "What of their son?" "Hikaru is the champion and knows Connoisseur Shuichi," Eisuke includes. "But the answers aren't available are they," questions Eisuke's dad. "... No. From what I heard, theirs and other deaths then have turned to cold cases now," is Eisuke's reply after a worrying pause. "We don't have the resources to supply what the police needs to solve those cases. And I'm going to suggest a small fund to be set aside to help them..." Hikaru stops the recording and puts the device away. Cold cases. That means nobody solved what happened to his parents or other mysterious deaths. He grips Greninja's Poké Ball and frowns. He can't believe that his guess was right about his parents former workplace before meeting Shuichi. His hold tightens then relaxes as the Ball slides back into place on his belt. He looks at a ring then sighs. He'll really have to make that special call to get there faster. Where he's at currently is really far from the corporation's main office. ~*~ Ota finishes the last of his drawing when a sudden splash drenches him. Grateful to have gotten waterproofed equipment and supplies, Otta shakes his head before looking at Milotic. "I'll play with you soon," he sighs. "Let me clean this off. Charcoal isn't your favorite smell." Ota chuckles as Milotic makes a sound that resembles a mix of a sneeze and sound of disgust. Even when Milotic was a Feebas, she always hated the smell that came with charcoal along with the dust that comes with the drawing tool. Ota scrubs his hands and under his nails to rid of any traces that his cloth didn't clean from wiping them off. Once the complete cleansing is done, Ota changes into his swimming shorts and jumps into the water. The jump causes a large splash that hits not just Milotic but earning him a splash back from Sylveon. It wasn't long before an all out water fight breaks out involving all but Ampharos and Smeargle. As Ota prepares to do a sneak attack on Delcatty she starts hissing. It wasn't just Delcatty though. His other Pokémon are reacting with their own hisses or defensive poses. Ota turns to see a large gold hoop with shimmering energy warping the center. And from that center comes out a human and a Pokémon. "Baba... seriously old man? I have said many times not to summon Hoopa when my Pokémon are out," he whines, pushing himself out of the pool. "That's so mean Ota," the older male sulks. "I was hoping that you'd be up for finding a way to pull a prank on Eisuke." "A prank... I don't know Baba... even if you are able to blackmail any of us, Eisuke can be scary," Ota peeps from under a towel. "Maybe it would be more fun to prank Mamoru or Soryu." "How about both," he hears Baba as the towel moves over his hair. Ota internally sighs at that. Of course Baba would take something with a really high risk. A risk of having Soryu's gun in his face... "How about their Pokémon," he smirks. "Ooh I love your thinking," comes Baba's cackle nearby. A subtle swish catches his attention and, with his head still under the towel, Ota sidesteps and grins in quiet relief about not being splashed by Milotic. "That was mean Ota-chan," he witnesses a soaked Baba complain. "You did come in the middle of a water fight," he reminds him. ~*~ Eisuke sighs and tosses the packet onto his desk. The report was not up to standards. The plan for helping the police had been approved but the result wasn't what he expected. A few stocks were already set aside for Team KōriRyu but the trickier part is ahead and now in front of him. "Get the budget manager on this immediately," he snaps at his subordinate. "Yes sir," Kenzaki nods. The second Kenzaki is out of his office with the report, Eisuke retreats to his private office. He lets Ninetails out before dropping onto his armchair in frustration. This is really getting out of hand. The equipment for helping to amplify a Psychic Type's powers for the police to use is already in the prototype stage but the problem is getting the funding right for it. Materials weren't cheap and his lab didn't have the scientists who are willing to break their ethics of harming Pokémon. "What can be done?... Even if I did ask Soryu to spare a person, it would look suspicious," Eisuke frowns. "Nine Nine Nine Ninetails," the Fox Pokémon speaks up after dropping something onto his desk. Eisuke turns to see him and Persian both looking pleased then at the object. He smiles then pets both of them with a smile. Why didn't he think of this sooner? He didn't need his scientists breaking their ethics when he can just call his old senpai. ~*~ Iris looks at her sleeping brother with worry. Day in and out, Luke bustles around with little time to sleep having Marrowak and Chansey both forcing him to rest more than once. She glances at Audino and Wigglytuff to see them doing their Heal Pulse. She knows that both male Pokémon are just pushing themselves at this point. There are the Pokémon that ___ did switch with a few times for some of her battles but Iris wasn't looking at them, the other Trainers' Pokémon nor the many injured Pokémon at that point. Iris is looking at a picture that Luke somehow managed to secure from Eisuke. It was ___ in a cute outfit for her Cuteness Contest. She understands that her brother likes this outfit the most because it shows ___'s collar bones. Her main obsession however wasn't the same spot as her brother's. It may have been just an image but Iris can still see the pleasing and soothing Aura that is ___. The way how it flows from her is like how one describes warm sunlight. Gentle, comforting and soothing. That is what Iris currently needs amidst her brother's crazy scheduling. ~*~ "OI," Hayami yells at a sleeping form. "OI! WAKE UP!" A few heads did turn but then back to whatever they were doing. It wasn't unusual for Hayami, Ayase, or another detective to be hollering and shaking a grumpy Mamoru up. The rookies in the office didn't know that until their superiors or supervisors tell them to focus. But today Hayami wasn't having a good luck waking his fellow detective. It was something to do with a mysterious shape in the sky that many claimed and persistently say it was Rayquaza. What Hayami really needs from a file in Mamoru's desk is an image of Team KōriRyu's mascot. Kyurem is an Ice and Dragon Type as many know. Hayami didn't have time to admire that two of the letters line up but he does have to admit that the team is almost like their namesake. Cold and dragon like with their vengeance and attacks. Yakuza gangs weren't alien but they aren't the teams to really cause chaos.

How To Hack When You Have No Idea Wtf You’re Doing

Before We Start:

Hi guys, some of you might have known me before as fireemblemhax and read some of my old tutorials but I’m here with a new blog now.

I realized a bunch of my previous tutorials were honestly a bit too “advanced” for someone who’s completely new to 3DS hacking so this time around, I’m gonna try to cater my tutorials for complete newbies in mind. I’ll try to make hacking as accessible and unscary for you guys as I can.

With that said, some of the most frequently asked questions I’d get on hacking a 3DS were: Is it safe to do this? Can I break my 3DS by trying to hack it?

And to those questions, the short answer to both is: Depends

Now lemme explain why.

Is it safe to hack your 3DS? Depends on what method you choose to use.

Can you accidentally brick your 3DS through this? Yup but once more, depends on what methods you use. In this tutorial, I’ll be teaching you the safest, virtually-impossible-to-screw-up way I know of.

Still, always try to read all possible information you can on hacking AND as a disclaimer, remember that I am not responsible if you happen to somehow brick your 3DS. It’s extremely unlikely this will happen as it’d honestly require almost willfully screwing things up but if it does somehow happen, I am not responsible for it.

I can still try to help you if you think you broke it though, cus sometimes something MIGHT look scary and broken but it’s in fact actually completely ok and unbroken (this happened to me when I first started hacking, I was 99% sure I’d broken my 3DS only to find out a few days later that everything was fine lol).

Also, always remember: Do NOT automatically upgrade your 3DS if you plan on hacking it! This guide was written with firmware 11.3 in mind, anything that might come after this might render all of the hacking methods described here completely useless. Always remember to check first online if it’s ok to upgrade your firmware before doing so.

OK, with all of the above out of the way, let’s get on with the guide. Everything under the cut:

So You Wanna Hack Your 3DS But Have No Idea Where To Start:

That’s ok, I gotcha. I was once a total noob too and though hacking your 3DS might seem scary at first, I promise you it’s not that hard. Just a kinda long and sometimes tedious process but otherwise, anyone can do it with just the right info and tools.

This tutorial might get long but I’ll try to cover as much info as I can for you to be able to fearlessly begin your hacking journey.

What Does Hacking Your 3DS Mean And Why Would You Want To Do It?

Hacking your 3DS basically means modding your 3DS and 3DS games by using various tools and exploits. Think of it as a Powersave but completely integrated into your 3DS.

You can get everything you’d get from a Powersave for free on almost any game by hacking your 3DS but that’s just the tip of the iceberg. A hacked 3DS can give you access to even cooler stuff when used alongside the right tools. This is where it goes way beyond what a Powersave could provide for you.

Like for example, let’s say you’re annoyed that games like Fire Emblem Awakening and Fire Emblem Fates have mostly nothing but Hetero romance options for your characters. With a hacked 3DS, you can easily fix this by using UV’s famous Same-Sex Marriage Hack for instance, which would then give you a ton of support options with no gender restrictions as well as a bunch of new, custom support conversation.

Or maybe you’re playing Animal Crossing but are having a frustrating time getting your Dreamies to move into your town or hate having to wait around for villagers to suggest Public Works? In that case, you can just get yourself ACNL’s Save Editor and get to editing any part of the game you want to make building your dream town a less tedious process.

Maybe you play pokemon and would love to edit your pokemon’s models and textures to look cuter/cooler/prettier/whatever? Then getting Ohana3DS would help you.

So I think you can see the various reasons one might want to get to hacking their 3DS and 3DS games.

Getting Started: A Brief Summary Of Homebrew.

In order to get started though, you need to understand a few things first.

To be able to mod your games and get access to hacks, you need to get Homebrew.

What is Homebrew? Homebrew is unofficial software made by amateur developers for closed systems such as the 3DS and PSVita. Homebrew is the software necessary for practically all sort of hacking to work so you need to be able to run it on your 3DS.

To be able to access homebrew on your console, you need what is known as an entrypoint. An entrypoint is a modded game or app that will act as a “door” between your 3DS and Homebrew. Some examples are:

Pressing A on a modded Ocarina of Time save will take you directly to the Homebrew Channel.  

Putting a certain modded sound file in your 3DS’s SD card gives you access to Homebrew through the 3DS’s stock sound application.

Putting a modded file in your your 3DS’s SD card gives you access to Homebrew through the game Freakyforms Deluxe.

A bunch of other entrypoints are listed on the official 3DS Homebrew Launcher website

Before You Choose An Entrypoint:

Before trying to get Homebrew, you need to know three very important things: whether you have an Old or New 3DS, your region and what firmware your system is currently on. These 3 things will determine which Homebrew entrypoints you can use as not all of them work on all system versions.

To check whether your 3DS is Old or New: Easy enough, just compare your 3DS to the ones on this pic and you should know whether yours is Old or New. 

Note that 2DS’s are automatically placed in the “Old” category.

To check your firmware version and region: You can see which version of the system software you have by accessing the System Settings and looking on the bottom right of the top screen. The number is your version with the letter at the end of it is your region.

Letter E means: Europe and other PAL regions aka Australia, New Zealand and any other countries with PAL software. Letter J means: Japanese region, also known as NTSC J. Letter U means: Region used in USA, Canada, Central America and South America.

Letter K means: Korean region.

Now that you know which 3DS you have and what firmware version you’re on, you can check which entrypoints are available to you here. Compare the “Supported firmwares” section of each entrypoint/exploit to see if it could work on your own system.

BUT I’m assuming you are a complete noob to this, which means you’re very probably on firmware 11.3 and you would rather go for the easiest to use entrypoint that’d work on the latest firmware.

Nothing to worry about, I gotchu.

Launching Homebrew Through Soundhax:

SO, the easiest and safest method that I know of for the current firmware (11.3) is Soundhax.

Soundhax is an entrypoint that uses the stock Sound application that comes with every 3DS ever so it honestly doesn’t get any easier and cheaper than this.

To get started, follow the steps listed below (links to everything you need included):

Turn off your 3DS. Now take your 3DS’s SD card out and plug it into your computer. If you have a New 3DS, you’ll probably have to take off your console’s back cover and use a usb plug for microSD cards. Follow the instructions Nintendo gives on this page.

Once your SD or microSD card is plugged to your computer, download the Homebrew Starter Kit from here. The download link is in the “Preparing your SD card” section of the page. When it says “Extract it at the root of your SD card”, this just means “Don’t put it inside any folders inside the SD card”. Just put the files and folders you just downloaded directly in the “open” space of your SD card and ignore any other folders you might find already in it.

Next up, download the right sound file over at nedwill’s soundhax website. Choose the region that matches your 3DS’s and then just choose between Old and New. Then click on “Download MP4” and you should now have a MP4 file downloaded to your computer. Now, just drag this file on to the root of your SD card.

Now go back to Homebrew’s website and scroll down to the “Otherapp/ropbin payloads” section. Here, you need to download the right “otherapp” file for your console by choosing wheter you have an Old or New 3DS, choosing the exact firmware numbers you see when you go into system settings and then choose your region’s letter. Just go back to system settings, check the bottom right of the top screen and input the numbers and letter in exactly as they are on your 3DS (zeros and all). After you do this, click on “Download otherapp”.

Drag the file you just downloaded to the root of your SD card. It has a super long name that you’ll want to change so rename the file to “otherapp”. Note: Normally, just renaming the file to otherapp should work but there’s been people who reported this sometimes doesn’t work. If when you try to launch homebrew nothing happens, try renaming this file “otherapp.bin” instead.

Eject your SD card from your computer and put it in your 3DS now. Turn on your 3DS now.

Now go to the Nintendo 3DS Sound application. This one:

Once inside the app, use your stylus and choose your SD card folder and you will then see a sound file named “<3 nedwill” aka probably the only file you’ll see. Play this file and ta da! 

You should get a scary black screen with random words and numbers that will then flash colors but don’t worry, this means everything worked and you can now access homebrew!

If nothing happens or your screen freezes for a long time, don’t panic cus this is normal (soundhax sometimes glitches out), just reboot your 3DS and try opening the sound file again.

After the black screen and flashing colors, your 3DS screens should now look like this:

Congratulations, you now have access to Homebrew!

Ok, I Have Hombrew But Now What?

Now you can use any hacks you want for any game you want :) I happen to only know hacks for 3DS Fire Emblem games and ACNL but you can always go on gbatemp and search for other hacks for other games.

To hack Fire Emblem, I recommend for you to watch this video. It’s pretty outdate but most of the steps in it still work.

Monday

Today has been a good day. I have the car. It’s called Elvis. Named after the CD that was left in there, but I think it’s a pretty cool name for a pretty cool car. The gear stick looks a little bit like a Pokemon ball, and there’s a sunroof. It’s pretty face and good for a first car, I have to admit.

I also bought 3 books from the charity shop. I couldn’t decide between the three, and they were all cheap so I thought why not? They’re also contemporary which I don’t normally read, so they will be interesting. Two are about memories and the other one is about a girl with Cerebral palsy, where she can’t move or speak. Because of this people confide secrets to her and one in particular – Dan. I feel as if this is going to be very emotional and most likely a secret of a murder. But that’s just my brain, it could be something completely different.

Today has been rather uneventful. Which sucks for a weekly review thing. Other than spending the whole four hours of my break reading a book that isn’t even out yet, nothing happened.  The story of how I got a book that isn’t even out yet is rather funny. And told above in Monday. It was actually pretty good for a contemporary, and definitely a book that you could have conversations about at midnight. And I ended up finishing it within 3 hours, meaning I had a whole hour to do nothing. So that was fun! Not.

Wednesday

This was mostly going to be about the trip to Brighton. However, I think the attack at London is the most important. Especially when there will be a blog post about Brighton up at some point this week – hopefully Friday.

It’s strange seeing videos of the attack. Seeing such a prominent and famous building, yet there’s a weird horrific scene going on. All of the eyes in the world turned to London and waited for her to respond. But she didn’t fall or cower. In fact, she stood up taller. She withstood the Blitz, attacks from the IRA, Great Fire, Black Plague- she would be fine.

I can’t express my gratitude for the work of the police force, ambulance force, just everyone who got involved. The way it has been handled and so quickly shows. It cannot be faulted. On Twitter I saw many americans saying that Theresa May took too long in her response, but as a Brit I can say that they’re wrong. She waited in order for more evidence to come through and for a plan to be established. As it is supposed to be an important speech to give the Londoners a sense of hope and justice, I don’t suspect she could just write a speech within 10 minutes. There were many unnecessary comments from Trump supporters especially, but it was quite apparent it wasn’t all Americans. It’s just annoying that they then become ‘tarnished’ because of those orange supporting idiots.

Thursday

Today I noticed a lot of flags half-mast. Ones in little villages in people’s backyards and the one that was most heartbreaking: the flag in front of the  country police station. I think it’s most painful knowing that they have lost a brother. They might not have met him but they are all feeling pain, knowing that each day they are going out to do their job and might not return.

And only now have I realised that all day I haven’t had any anxiety. After Paris and Brussels, I couldn’t get on a bus without having immense amount of paranoia. Even at College I was scared, and looking back it’s silly, but it was a real fear. Just getting myself a cup of water in my own home and standing in front of a window. Doing the most mundane and daily things caused me to be scared. Yet, now that there’s been attack on my own home land, I don’t feel any kind of anxiety at all. No fear, no panics, not trying to figure out where my closest exits are at all times. I think it’s because it was shown how well it’s been dealt with, in terms of police and ambulance, just every service available has really been amazing and responded so well. I know I am safe.

Friday

I’m sick of my family making comments about me driving. I’ve had four lessons, I struggle with anxiety and they knew that driving would be a daunting task for me. Yet all they do is laugh. It’s not funny. It actually makes me feel like shit. They knew it would be hard for me. Today I’m just angry and tired and dealing with that monthly girl problem.

Started reading, The One Memory of Flora Banks, and can easily say I’ve never read anything like it before.

Considering all events this week, it turns out that the attacker on the Parliament attack had stayed in a hotel in Brighton. What’s worse is that on Wednesday I was in Brighton and had actually gone past that hotel. I remember the sign. It’s scary thinking that I could’ve easily passed him and the car. It’s weird. I don’t remember seeing any car or person, I just remember the sign logo and the building. Funnily enough I didn’t think it would have been important enough to then taken in every detail.

Comic Relief thing, was on TV today. It’s usually this massive British event where celebrities and comedians do a live show that lasts like 8 hours and includes all kind of different guests doing stupid things for charity. I usually love these events but it was the worse one ever. I’m not sure whether it’s because I’m older or it was pure shite. Pretty sure it was the last one as normally I stay up and watch the whole thing. On a whole I enjoyed like 5 minutes of it. One of the good parts was that they got Ed Sheeran, which shouldn’t be a surprise because despite being one of the most popular artists in the world, he is the nicest guy. He went out to where there was starvation and all that trouble, and paid for 5 boys to be safe out in the city. He didn’t care how much, he just wanted to know that they will be somewhat safer than they already were. And if you look at the whole spectrum of celebrities that have been out there to raise awareness, how many have actually contributed? Apart from letting the charity use their face and name? That might be harsh and critical of celebrities, but this years total (so far) is…

Saturday

Today I spent the day packing my books into boxes in order so we can move rooms. It took 5 massive cardboard boxes, all strategically packed to fit all my books. And that’s not including 6 or 7 books that I will need (once I finish this book, also college books yada yada…).

I also spent some time writing some upcoming blog posts as well as trying to think of some new ideas. I changed the sidebar to currently reading because I can. As us girls (three of us) will be moving into the bigger room, the parents had to then box up the boy’s room and Mum got close very close to losing it. Mostly because the 19-year-old was the messiest, yet blames it on the younger one.

Sunday

Mothers Day! I spent two hours DIYing Mum a last-minute card, and making the inside to be one of those cringey messages that’s made out of Take That song titles. Then I had seconds to get ready to go out to a lunch that had been reserved for us.

It wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t the best. Starters of Garlic bread was good, but then again it’s hard to majorly fuck that up. For mains I had this chicken thing with sun-dried tomatoes on top and this sauce thing and then all wrapped in bacon. The problem was that chicken can be quite dry especially if it’s just a massive breast with nothing else. And then if you wrap that in bacon it’s even more so dry. There wasn’t any sauce and I had no idea what to ask for. Even worse I had a cider and it wasn’t fizzy. I’m not a big alcoholic drinker, I just like cider because it’s practically fizzy apple juice. And this didn’t taste fizzy. Or appley. Desert was the best. Chocolate cake. Nothing else I can say about it really.

We then took Elvis for his first ever car wash. £6 for a tiny car – can’t complain in my opinion. It was quite cool as he has 2 sunroofs and so we just all looked up and watched the bubble mixture slide on the glass.

And finally, to finish off the week we went to the shops and got stuff. (Wow, quality blog post information detailing.) Obviously I went to the book section and got Me Before You by JoJo Moyes. The lady at the counter told me a hundred times that it was a “tear-jerker” and I’m so glad she told me because I had no idea at all. It’s not as if everyone talked about it for three years straight and how it ruined their lives. Even one of the marketing campaigns on BookTube was sending that book and tissues.
