i would love trans crocodile but im very cynical that oda would write him in a respectful manner. thats not even thinking of how horrible that one portion of the one piece fandom would treat him
Yeah the fandom sucks and I'm going to strangle everyone (including the cishets who claim to be trans allies and then use "Crocomom")
But with Oda it's weird because like. The more I think about it, the more I'm like... 50/50 about Oda being able to actually deliver good, respectful trans masc rep.
Like I've posted about this before but One Piece does have this on-going theme of having characters "stuck in wrong bodies" or "having one's body changed" (sometimes reversably, sometimes irreversably; sometimes against their will, sometimes consentually). Which, in theory, in my mind, does kind of signal that on some level Oda understands the idea of being "the wrong sex" (whether or not that's a good way to explain The Trans Experience™ is a whole different subject but it's an old fashioned explanation that Oda would probably be/is familiar with) But at the same time, while the concept pops up again and again in One Piece, Oda doesn't really dwell too deep into the idea of what that's like. Like, emotionally. How it feels like to like, get turned into a toy or be a child who gets aged 20 years or to get turned into a cyborg or a giant child or have parts of your body permanently turned into animal parts (sometimes with a will of their own) etc
And like. Part of me understands why, Oda does tend to want to focus on writing a story he thinks teenaged boys would be interested in reading, and he has often stated he wants to have fun with his story too (like that's partially why Luffy's a Rubber Man, because Oda thought giving Luffy a ridiculous ability would make him more fun to write and draw long-term, which is valid as hell) This is why for example Oda has avoided doing any romances in OP, and while there are dark themes in the story, often he has done his best to avoid making them too blatant, as some things would be too mature for his youngest readers (like, for example until Kuma's backstory, it was never explicitly stated what would happen to the slave wives of the Tenryuubito, even saying it was "implied" would be pushing how that subject had been treated until now)
So like. Because of that, I understand why Oda hasn't dwelled into The Feelings™ part much/at all despite the "stuck in the wrong body" narrative appearing time and time again
Either Oda thinks it'd be too boring either for himself or his readers, or he hasn't dwelled into it because he doesn't really understand gender dysphoria and can't relate to the experience (despite how often it shows its face in OP). Or it could be both, even
The thing is though, as OP has gone on, while I wouldn't say Oda has "broken his writing rules", Kuma's backstory alone has pushed them to a new limit with the love-that-never-was story and the all-but-explicitly-stated storytelling.
So a part of me wonders, if Crocodile is trans, could Oda actually like... take a slightly deeper look into his feelings and explore his queer experience? ('Cause god knows, if Crocodad Real, then there really would be a literal coming out-story built into his backstory that would be extremely unavoidable, and as I've mentioned before, the fact that we haven't gotten to learn almost anything about his backstory yet is Kinda Fucking Sus)
Also I do want to mention how... like Oda gets a lot of bad rap when it comes to queer rep in One Piece, but the more I think about it, I think it's more an issue with the terminology and how translators have gone about either localizing it, or more often than not, leaving it unlocalized 'Cause like. Yes the "okama" would be horrible trans rep but... really... they're not trans representation. They're representation for draq queens. Piss poor draq rep, but still, they're draq queens. And just like our very real life drag performers; some of them are cishets. Some of them are gender non-conforming gay men. Some of them are nonbinary*. Some of them are trans women. Obviously lumping all of these people into one group is kinda offensive (which is why "okama" is (as far as I understand it) such an unpopular term even amongst queer people in Japan), and the way Oda often chooses to draw these characters looks no different to how gender criticals choose to present trans women in their propaganda.
*Like Bon-chan, who explicitly states they are both male and female. And Iva-chan, who switches between boy-mode and girl-mode from time to time, could arguably be called genderfluid (though any specific terminology is up to debate). Both are nonbinary draq queens.
And yet, despite all that. It can not be understated how if you put aside the nameless background gag-characters, Oda does treat the actual, proper queer characters with respect. Everyone would agree that Bon-chan is an absolute hero, we would all die for them. Iva-chan (and Inazuma too) is explicitly presented in a heroic light, seen as someone who helps people and fights for justice (with the Revs)
And then there's the first binary trans characters we've actually gotten, Okiku and Yamato. And I'm pretty sure we would all agree Okiku is 10/10 perfect trans fem representation (I am not entirely serious, I'm not trans fem so I can't speak for trans women here, it's just that I can't see anything Horrendously Wrong with how Okiku is presented within the story- not actually perfect but all things considdered, damn good). She is stunning, people around her (INCLUDING SANJI!!) don't just view her as a woman but would go out of their way to date her (as in, she is seen as "desirable", and not as some kind of a disgusting freak to avoid), she is heroic and sweet and kind and just. IDK I love her And while I'm sure many trans mascs would agree Yamato may not be how they want to be seen by the world (though having Yamato ID as a man while having the biggest moobs is surely validating for a lot of people, including anybody who might not want or be able to get top surgery and/or HRT), again, he is only presented as heroic within the narrative and respected by the characters around him, Luffy especially, which is by far the most important part; the protagonist going out of his way to be respectful of trans characters does represent the values of the story.
And like.
Think about how Oda has treated Crocodile so far.
Like, although we're all having a bit of a laugh over the whole Cross Guild thing, Oda is still treating him as a cool character whom he presents seriously and treats with respect. Like Oda wants the readers to see Crocodile as at least a little bit cool. So I can't imagine him pulling a full 180 with how Croc would be treated in the story if he was revealed to be trans, especially when the potential foreshadowing for that was laid out in the story years ago already.
All this to say; Oda is not perfect at all, but considdering the things he has gotten right so far, I think there is hope he could pull it off. Because Oda is for Queer Liberation.
Really, my only concerns would be whether or not there's a risk Crocodile could get somehow detrans'd during the story (I'm praying the Haki theory isn't an option, really Doc Q might be the only true risk here), if he's stealth and that got presented as "a wrong thing to do" (which I'd hope not, like our previous queer characters have been okay with being openly queer but that may have been more for the readers than anything else. At least, I hope, god knows if Crocodile is and wants to be stealth trans then that's his right and he shouldn't have to out if he doesn't want to, and yeah, I don't want him to be demonized within the narrative for being stealth (if he's stealth, for all we know he could be out)) and like, most importantly, what'd end up being Crocodile's "motivation" for transitioning in the first place
Like. God. I just. I don't want there to be a twist where Crocodile transitioned because "being a woman was weak" or because he "wanted to be acknowledged by Whitebeard" ('cause WB doesn't take women into his crew) or "the scar in his face made him so ugly he decided he should be a man instead" (seen unironic Redditors suggest that. Almost lost my mind) or something
Like I hope someone's at least tried to explain gender dysphoria to Oda. Like the man does have actual queer friends in real life (some of whom inspired characters in OP), so I'm hoping at least someone's tried to explain the feelings that come with The Trans Experience™ to him so that, if Crocodile's trans, then Oda can actually try to base his reasoning to transition on those feelings instead of any stupid "reasons" that no actual queer person would relate to
But it all just boils down to... Is Oda willing to actually dwell into those feelings and explore them in the story.
It... it really could go either way with Oda
So yeah. Anon, I'm with you, I'd be lying if I didn't admit I was at least A Little Worried. But also... I want to be hopeful. Because I do believe there is reason to be hopeful.
Only time will tell how it'll go

Hi guys! Just a quick introduction: I'm Lua, 26 brazilian woman who loves to write. This blog is for kpop girl groups and gg's only. I write for fun and for fun only, so I don't like angst and will probably write it only under request (and I can say no if it makes me uncomfortable bc I'm really bad at it).
I try to be as polite and gentle as a human possibly can, but I can and will set boundaries (and be mean) if I have to. (Some people tend to go crazy since they are anonymous)
Mainly a NSFw blog focused on Sub F!R x Dom Idol and Idol x Idol; but feel free to request Dom Fem!R :) I write imagines, thoughts, MTL, polygamous relationships (3 people only) and honestly a lot of other stuff, just check with me on my ask box and I'll let you know!!
I only write smut for girls with legal age/people I'm comfortable writing for;
If I see spam in my ask box I won't respond and probably will delete it, I definitely do not to want to bring any negative attention towards anyone, nor shame anyone.
I don't write about any disorders at all.
Do NOT call me mommy under any circumstances, I'll be rude to you if you do.
Please be kind to each other! 💖
My favorite groups are:
BP, Dreamcatcher, Itzy (Top 3). Twice (For the n*zi shirt incident I chose to NOT write for Chaeyoung, no hate for her or those who write for her), Red velvet, IVE, Loona, WJSN, New Jeans (But I don't write for them), Le Sserafim, XG, G- Idle, aespa, SNSD and VIVIZ

being on the nerdy prudes must die side of tumblr is really funny right now because of all the trans fem Richie stuff going on. it’s just like Richie can’t pick a side because I also see people headcanon him as trans masc.
female transitioned male: we’ve got loads of fan fics about that one
male transitioned female: welcome to yuri central
some other third option: fuck yeah, I’d love to see it
one thing is constant: Richard Lipschitz is trans and nothing will change that

hello everyobject! this is a blog all about posting leafpin "art" in a casual [read: messy/irregular] schedule...
"casually leafpin", if you will.
Tumblr media
RAN BY THE VERY AWESOME PEAFERS: @ohmysheetmetal — mod 📌 ; neutral/masc pronouns! you can call me cerise here idm. i made the blog and wrote most of this pinned post! @kaykeykiykoykuy — mod 🥧 ; any, pref fem
note: other objects like coiny and firey may appear at times. please spray them with water if you see them. also, this may be mildly canon non-compliant due to our personal headcanons, and due to AU's that may show up!
posts are tagged as #clp, the ones that aren't drawings are tagged as #not clp, and particularly messy ones are tagged as #slop tier post
inspired by @occasionallycoinpin & @usually4leaf, of course. give them some love just to specify, this blog's theme is "drawing as much leafpin as we can until we drop dead" — if you want to follow leafpin blogs that are more directed at "reblogging as much leafpin art as one can find", go check out @leafypins & @daily-peafy!
submissions are open & suggestions are well appreciated <3
Tumblr media
"why leafy x pin?" 📌: why not! we love yuri and providing food for the yuri enjoyers alike. ive been obsessed with this pair basically ever since i joined the osc!
"wait, 'peafy'?" 📌: it's an inside joke of sorts, but it's just another silly name for "leafpin" i have came up with two years or so ago. coinpin version of it: "poiny"
"do you guys do anything else other than hyperfixating in fictional pairs?" 📌: i like to play and draw /ref

What you thiking about F/F (wlw) SatoHika. You would have something personal for them?
As I said before it's the only way I can ship them 😭
My most wlw Dawn agenda (lesbian Dawn personally) I can't send them any other way
At the same time I'm neutral if it's other people doing it/ F/M or mlm Dawn, but it's not for me personally, if it makes sense lol
🩷😭 and thx for made "love is love" meme
I wouldn't have noticed this as "ah THIS SO CUTE" without you meme made. lmao
You art is amazing, actully :)
I hope I didn't seem rude.
Ohhh if I do 👀
I absolutely ADORE the idea of butch lesbian Ash!! Like, keep everything about him the same, but he's now a lesbian and it just.. idk I love love it A LOT opajdoisad
I love the concept of Ash figuring gender stuff alongside Dawn because she doesnt give a shit about gender (she dresses Piplup in cheerleader clothes! My girl was too ahead of her time) so it doesnt matter if masc or fem, I feel like he would always go to her to talk about that kind of stuff.
Also i have this headcanon that if Ash would look more fem than masc he would grow hair like Leaf's! Like, he is the kanto protag so it just makes sense for him to look like both Red AND Leaf depending on how he is presenting (ignore my shitty doodles)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And I like the idea of butch girl Ash being taller than masc Ash for #reasons (so she can look down on Dawn and make her freak out in gayness ldoiadoa)
AshDawn Yuri is very VERY good
And I get the lesbian Dawn HC, she is very much interested only in girls saopdjao I would be there too if i just didn't love AshDawn so so much

Though on genderswap Mitsukou? What would their characters belike both appearance and personality wise?
Yuri Mitsukou!! I love this question
So awhile back I posted smth like “no fem4masc Yuri Mitsukou it has to be masc4masc” which like. I don’t really agree with anymore. I like that in canon one of them is feminine while the other is masculine and it’s not really done in a stereotypical way. Fandoms make a really big deal about people feminizing male characters- and for good reason, it does happen a lot. But that gets taken to the point that they end up unintentionally reinforcing traditional gender roles. “How dare you draw that man in a skirt” or “that male character would never cry.” It’s also weird to me that I never see the same defense given to female characters being masculinized, so it ends up feeling like a lot of fans just hate femininity. So when a male character is feminine and seemingly likes masc dudes but has one of the loudest personalities in the manga, I think it’s pretty neat. Ofc there are fans that are weirdly against calling Mitsuba feminine but I already blocked most of them so idk what they have to say
(I could talk more in-depth about how fans are so worried about feminizing Mitsuba that they erase all the soft parts of his personality and make him one-dimensional but I’ll hold my tongue)
However, with fem!Mitsuba things are usually portrayed differently. Since dude Mitsuba’s initial conflict was being bullied for looking like a girl, most people say that the reverse would be girl Mitsuba being bullied for looking like a dude. This is fine but we also have to keep in mind that the entire gag of Mitsuba’s character is that he looks feminine but has an unfiltered personality, based on his looks you would never expect him to act that way. So if girl Mitsuba looks boyish, does that mean her personality would be super soft and delicate?? Because, yeah Mitsuba does have a soft side but not in that way, and it’s not at the forefront of his personality. Plus girl Mitsuba could still get bullied for looking too feminine, internalized misogyny is very much a thing
However, at the end of the day it really depends on personal preference so I’m not at all bashing either depiction of fem!Mitsuba. I go back and forth over which one I like more. Gender themes are a pretty big part of how I write Mitsukou so it’s hard for me to imagine that switched up, but it’s also incredibly interesting to think abt. All in all I like to keep fem!Mitsuba looking androgynous, maybe she has a boyish face but still dresses very feminine. Or maybe she has a girly face but dresses very masc. It’s one of those things I like a variety of interpretation on. For this I say she keeps the same hair length and pink cardigan but wears the girls uniform. So like yeah she basically just looks the same
As for Kou, those of you that read my wlw Kou//Nene fic should know that masc girl Kou is actually everything to me. A lot of fans sort of flip their gender presentations when gender bending them- Mitsuba becomes masc and Kou becomes fem. That’s totally great if that’s what you like but for me personally Kou is gonna be wearing Old Spice. I like to imagine her hair a tad longer in the back, like a choppy version of the Bisexual Bob. She wears some type of hoodie over her uniform the same way canon Kou wears a t-shirt under his uniform. The hoodie is blue btw (gotta incorporate the lore from my mtsk fics)
I feel like their personalities and dynamic would stay mostly the same! Maybe make them a bit clingier the way female friendships are but they’re already pretty clingy in canon lol. I do wonder if Kou’s flaw of not being able to open up about his feelings properly would change due to gender socialization. But many women (including myself) have that problem too so I think it would stay the same. She might be able to open up to Teru or Yokoo and Satou better but she’d still struggle to admit when she’s feeling overwhelmed. I could see her not being the type to tell someone how she’s feeling until all those emotions have built up for months. That’s how I’ve seen the whole “can’t talk abt your emotions” problem present itself in women. And men tend to only feel comfortable opening up to their romantic partners, which is something we very much see with Mitsukou in canon. But with fem!Kou, if Yokoo and Satou were girls two they would probably encourage her to talk abt her feelings rather than just being like “let’s give him a task to distract him” (which is fine too, men have different ways of comforting their friends)
Thank you for this ask!!

Gonna gush a bit about Im In Love With The Villainess, dont read more if you havent read all the light novels!!
Okay so Idk if its cause I somehow missed it when briefly looking into the series, or fans are all very nice abt not spoiling things right now with the anime airing (which yall are saints!). But I feel I never see ppl talk abt the fact this story seriously talks abt and presents trans people on, what I felt as a trans woman, really nice and realistic ways. Like, we got an AFAB trans woman in Yu. Im sure many ppl cringe at the "Im an AFAB trans fem" posts that have floated around at times but. Yu is an AFAB trans woman and i love her for that. Rae's old world friend its a shame he died by suicide, especially as from what I recall he's the only trans man/masc character in the whole series. It is heartwarming Rae is such a huge and staunch ally because of that friendship (and subsequently will not stand to allow someone to live unhappily in the closet when she discovers it like with Yu and Joel).
Joel as well, I was happy we got a new trans character later and it was a trans woman (makes sense given its a series about queer women/girls and such), i think my only gripe is she still goes by Joel? Which both the characters do, so maybe for them and this society in general deadnames arent as /bad/ but that was something i didnt really like with hers since Joel is very masculine sounding to me. But also, if she likes it still, keep it! Just a writing decision thing i was bleh on.
I was really happy with how openly queer the novels were with sexuality but when it was explicitly talking abt dysphoria and trans people i was like. Holy shit. I guess my standards and expectations are so low i just expected if we /did/ show up we'd be a joke but we weren't. It was so nice. Yu and Joel both got punishments essentially (confined to a convent for a bit of time and deported back home), but theyre happy!! Also the crosswire curse being shown in both good and bad lights was so. Interesting. Like it caused Yu to be dysphoric for being forced into being a boy, and then for Joel gave her the body she always wanted. Like magic HRT is so cool (iirc Rae mentions it internally being cool this universe has that as an option).
Its just really special to me, especially with Yu and Misha being together and in love. Thats all lol. My yuri isekai that ended up not really being an isekai had good trans women in it what a bonus

Okay so I have a newfound love for names (it's a worldbuilding interest) and so this is a reblog chain post, for anyone to say little things about their culture's name conventions or explain how names work in their culture! I start:
In Brazil, most people have at least three names: A given name, and two family names.
Your surname/family name is usually a mix of one of your father's surnames and one of your mother's surnames. So let's say your dad's surnames are Souza and Silva, and your mom's surnames are Cerqueira and Carvalho, so your surname (and your siblings') would be something like: Souza Carvalho.
There is a little convention about family names, though, and the sequence they are in: The father's surname comes last, and the mother's surname comes first, right after your given name. Now what happens is that when you pass down one of your family names to your children, you will usually chose the last one, so, your father's last name. Your child will still have their mother last name but it won't be passed down, likely.
That is a general convention, ofc, but nor a rule. In my case, for example, my father passed down his mother's name to me and my siblings, and my own mother's name comes last on my surname.
Given names are usually composed by one or two words. Those last ones are known as compound names and are pretty common. Let's say someone's name is Maria [surname] [surname]. That is a singular name, right? But Maria could also be combined with another single name to form a compound name, like Ana Maria [surname] [surname] or Maria Júlia [surname] [surname]. There are also a few conventions about forming compound names for your child:
Gendered names are a thing, so when you mesh them together they are usually going to be names of the same gender, like "ana" [fem], with "eduarda" [fem] and not "lucas" [masc]. There are some neutral names, like "yuri" or "luca", too. There are also some combinations that are more popular than others, mainly names with Ana, Júlia, Maria, and João.
There is also a little rule for gendered names, specially biblical-inspired ones, that allows you to turn a masc name into a fem name. That comes from the characteristics in the Portuguese language (the one we speak in Brazil) that include a gendered vowel at the end of some words to define if they are masculine or feminine. For example, the words boy [menino] and girl [menina], as well as its newly introduced neutral counterpart [menine] are the same word, just with a different gendered vowel. So, most names that shift from one gender to other usually are masc in their origin and get an -a gendered vowel at the end. So a name like "Rafael" becomes "Rafaela", a name like "Eduardo" becomes "Eduarda" and so on. Sometimes masc names like Raphael/Rafael don't really have gendered vowels but since they lack one, we just assume they are masculine.
Using that structure, Brazilian people have either three or four names commonly, but I've also seen some people with three or more family names, and compound names composed by like five names or more, but that's more uncommon.
And lastly, I want to make a little note on variations of the names. A single name like "Evelyn" usually has a bunch of different variations, like: Evelin, Evellyn, Evellinn, Evellynn, Evelynn, and so on. These variations usually happen by: replacing /i/ with /y/, adding or cutting /h/, replacing /c/ with /k/, replacing /ã/ (which is a more closed /a/) with /an/, adding or cutting accents or doubling consonants. So names with /i/ like Iara can become Yara, names with /h/ like Helen can become Elen, or vice versa, similarly, names like Cauan can become Kauan and vice versa, Lúcia can become Lucia and Julia can become Jullia.
And that's it! Brazilian names work pretty differently than Usamerican names, and the formality in calling names is also a bit different (we almost never call people by their last names, even if they are teachers or figures of authority). Look foward to seeing you guys' addition to this post! 👍
(edit: most people i've known that have compund given names also have a preferred one between the two they have. i have one friend that absolutely despises one of them, and other who never tells other people hers bc she never uses it.)
(also quick note spelling differences make absolutely no differnece in how a name is pronounced. but we do tend to get annoyed when people mispell our names.)

rating names and nicknames people call me because I'm bored:
Sophia: 2/10 ewww I don’t like it, I mean, calling me that is like speaking formally to me, almost no one calls me Sophia and if they do is because they are being serious (or when my parents are angry) and I hate that, besides sounds too feminine.
Soph: 8/10 I like it so much! It's the best nickname for my name that I found since Sophie is very feminine and Phia sounds weird, Soph doesn't too very fem or too masc, it's very neutral for me and I think it fits me!
Jason: 9/10 LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE IT its so me and It's a FOB ref, it also makes me feel more masc
Benzedrine/Benz: 10/10 I LOVE WHEN PEOPLE CALLS ME LIKE THIS FR lately a lot of people been calling me benz and I feel sooooooooo good
Yuri boy: 1000/10. period.
Evil penis: 1000000/10 my favorite people calls me like that
SpongeSoph/SpongeBob/SpongePosh: ∞/10 bro I’m literally the dude that lives in a pineapple under the sea

I like yaoi I guess but I LOVE yuri…I absolutely adore Girls Love. But I can’t help but notice everybody’s in their fujoshi bag it’s kind of annoying. No matter where I look in media the mlm content quadruples the wlw content it’s so lame.
Literally it’s just—
Yuri smut: like 200 works maybe
Yaoi smut: 77635828836355+
Y’all somehow even managed to make it boring/heteronormative too like you really wanna see the same exact fem twink x masc bear/seme x uke formula every single time?? 💀
Where the fuck are the lesbians??? 😭

Tumblr media
This is the fem dabihawks that the left wants
Tumblr media
Redrew hawks literally the day after cuz I didn’t like his face expression on the first one,,,
>> rambles below…
I hc dabi as intersex n transmasc so the only thing that changed with his design for me was longer hair??
Also hawks my fav masc :3 he’s already so lesbian core SRRY guys he wouldn’t change at all LOL
Anyways you’ve heard of yuri on ice, get ready for YURI ON FIRE
I wanna make a joke that hawks would be a hey mammas type of girl but idk if that will fly with the community,,,
she’s a hey mammas girl but in a satire way and uses that like you would use “hey guys” or “hey bro” yk
I was apprehensive in giving Dabi longer hair bc I think fem Dabi would just keep it short so I compromised and just gave shoulder length.. idk it makes sense to me
Anyways ramble over, I love dabihawks and every single version of them
