My Hot-Take/Controversial Ranking of Doctor Who Seasons (excluding specials bc my special order is really unhinged)

3 > 1 > 10 > 4 > 5 > 8 > 11 > 12 > 9 > 7b > 2 > 6 > 13 = 7a

Disclaimer: I have favorite episodes that come from every single season on this list, including 7a. For example, even though Season 6 is low on the list, the God Complex, Almost People/Rebel Flesh, and Impossible Astronaut are some of my favorite of the show. I do really love the Power of Three. These are based on season arc/average feeling per episode/rewatchability on a subjective level.

unpopular opinion but i actually really enjoyed that drea and eleanor didn't kiss in do revenge. they hit that sweet spot that makes me go insane, of characters who are extremely close to each other, have a complex, deep (and fucked up) relationship, could probably be called the most important people in each other's lives and are in no way romantically involved. i love how physically affectionate they are, how drea says that the only times she'd been happy that year had been with eleanor, how they can't stand each other and love each other so so much. i love how much they've deliberately (and not) hurt each other and how they can't atone for that but they can move on and be better together. i also love that they're unhinged.

[I know everyone has their own interpretation on who would be associated whichever sin (or sins). But I'm kinda curious on who you would choose for those sins.. Especially because you chose Jimin as Lust in one of your stories.]

this is actually such a fascinating question to me because I’ve kicked around an OT7 fic over the years with them as a the seven deadly sins, I never put a lot of stock into plot or really solid reason as to why I picked each member for what, but basically, I’m just gonna say who and let you all interpret why I chose them for each sin lmao

So I like... I really don't know how I feel about the whole bi-regeneration thing.

Something that sours it for me is like... I was so upset that we were only gonna get the 3 eps with 14 and Donna - ideally for me we would have had a whole season or even a half-season to do them justice. It made me sad that I'd have to say goodbye to them so soon. Tho I did take comfort in that there'd basically be an open invitation for Donna cameos in the future, in a similar way to the Kate Stewart and Unit ones.

HOWEVER. Now??? As much as I fucking adore Donna and David Tennant as the Doctor... I kinda never wanna see them on screen again??? Cause I feel like it sorta cheapens the concept of the 15th Doctor and all the other future adventures he'll have. It was one thing with Tentoo cause he was banished to another universe and was limited to a mortal's lifespan. But having two fully fledged Doctors??? Both with Tardises??? In the same universe???

It doesn't just cheapen the 15 Doctor and all future Doctors, imo it also cheapens David Tennant himself. Because there's a bittersweet beauty in letting go. In saying goodbye. Of accepting the next phase in life. The bi-regeneration doesn't do that. There's no closure. There's no faint loss accompanying the joyous rebirth. It's just.

It just feels very emotionally hollow.

last night had been a blur ------------- and not from the alcohol for once; they'd both managed to keep themselves to one generous glass each of the blanton's charon had managed to conjure up out of thin air the last time they'd stayed at the continental ( and conveniently enough ended up in her duffle bag ); and even then she'd teased it was more for medicinal purposes than anything else as she went about addressing the areas on both of them in need of a bandage or a piece of gauze.

she remembers claiming the little stopper with the horse and jockey from it for herself despite them being nowhere near draining the bottle -------- twirling it in between her fingers ( the arm that wasn't currently pinning a bag of ice with her elbow to a sore section of ribs ) while they went over their strategy for the next morning. she remembers climbing into their room's solitary bed once the glasses went dry and her side was numb enough to let her move without too much cursing; eyes fluttering closed not long after her head had hit the pillow.

and now they're in the process of opening again, the line between sleep and awake beginning to thin when she thinks she's feeling warmer than usual because of the weight of the duvet. blurry and out - of - focus at first, it suddenly becomes apparent that it isn't the comforter that's been keeping her warm -------- @killsboogeyman is there, facing her, ( at least she assumes he is since she's the one with her forehead resting against his collarbone ) his arm threaded carefully between her arm and her side; his hand resting just above her hip. her heartbeat picks up as soon as realization sets in; her ribs offer up a small protest that's going to go unacknowledged.

       "john?" she murmurs softly through a yawn, almost hoping he's still fast asleep so she can stay like this just a little longer. "you're not awake, are you?"
