You were happily married to your highschool sweetheart, Han Jisung. You had three beautifull children. Two boys and one girl, the boys were named Han Jr. and Sungie. The girl was named Scarlett-Soo, (you named her).
The two boys were already teenagers and the girl had just turned nine. One day you were in the kitchen, cooking some food. Your daughter came up to you and asked:
'엄마 (mama), how did you and 다다이즘 (dada) meet?'
You smiled , those precious moments, your teenage years were filled with Hannie, your precious husband, your entire world.
'I met your 다다이즘 (dada) a long time ago...'

How you met is a very beautiful story. It was a beautiful day... in the 90s... a beautiful school day. This day, April 10, 1994, would change everything for you. Exactly 30 years ago you met the love of your life...
You were 14 at the time in 1994. You were a troublemaker, a real teenager.
You were in class, of course you were sitting very far away from your best friend. You could never be quiet and always burst into fits of laughter.
'Good morning students. Everyone, pick up your books on page 224. Today we're going to delve deeper into the literature of William Shakespeare.'
Here we go again, you thought. Suddenly the classroom door opened and you saw a boy standing there. Your eyes were immediately glued to him.
"I apologize for disturbing you, but I have a new student here for you."
He gave some documents to your teacher, he read them thoroughly.
“Han Jisung… welcome to this school. You can take a seat in the front row next to…”
his gaze suddenly turned cold “…I/N Y/N.”
he pointed in your direction. Of course you knew that your teacher never liked you, ever since day one, but that didn't bother you. You liked some challenges.
The boy named Han looked in your direction. His face radiated a kind of friendliness.
“Howdy neighbor, my name is Y/N.”
"Hey, my name is Han, Han Jisung."
'Cool.'
Such an innocent introduction grew into something much bigger, and you didn't even realize it at the time.
♡·..·°¯°·.·°·.·°°°·..·°¯°·.·°·.·°°°♡·..·°¯°·.·°·.·°°°·..·°¯°·.·°·.·°°°·..·°¯°·.·°·.·°°°·..·°♡
The two of you were running from a teacher. Why actually? Han was a real joker and troublemaker just like you. You placed small needles on your teacher's chair, I don't have to explain the rest.
You were laughing as you ran. Everyone could hear an ego from your laughter. Of course you were the only ones who were so loud.
'Anyway.'
"Maybe we should use super glue..."
'Or duck tape...'
'Or rope...'
'We are brilliant.'
"That's because there are two of us."
'Better a duo than uno.'
“Wise words from Han Jisung.”
'Fantastic.'
you gave each other a high-five.

“Hello Miss I/N.”
Han said to your mother.
'Ahh, hello Han. How's school? Didn't you play too many tricks?'
"No, not too much."
She laughed.
"You two sneaks go upstairs."
'Thank you, Madam.'
Your mother thought you were hilarious, of course if it went too far, she would stop it. But you were raised very well, with the idea of still showing respect.
The two of you went to your room. You had a boombox in your room with all kinds of CDs. Han turned on some music and you started dancing and singing together. You held hands and started spinning each other around.
Your parents heard you from downstairs.
"These two scoundrels." your mother laughed.
'Just like us.' your father added with a kiss.
Your father and mother loved each other dearly.
"Those two are going to end up together."
'Do you think?'
'I don't think, I know.'

1997
'Hannie!'
you shouted whenever you saw him. You ran to him and brought him in for a cuddle.
'How are you doing?'
"You act like we haven't seen each other for years."
'Alright sir. Did anything special happen?'
His face lit up.
"Yes, I dared to ask a girl out!"
You were super happy for him.
'Real?! Finally, what's her name?'
“Her name is Jennie, she's in my English class. She has beautiful black hair and she's just so... I don't know how to explain it.'
'Aww, Hannie. Do you know what to do? Introduce her to our friend group!'
'Is that a good idea?'
'Sure!
' You were happy for him...

After school, Han took Jennie to the skate park, where your group of friends always sat. She was very friendly and happy.
Your group of friends consisted of Lee Know, you, Han, Hanni and Jin. Everyone liked her except Hanni... because she was actually trying to set you up with Han.
You were all chatting with each other when suddenly Han gave Jennie a little kiss.
Something inside you broke. You thought maybe it was normal because you were a single pringle and always have been. Maybe it's just weird to see that.
♡·..·°¯°·.·°·.·°°°·..·°¯°·.·°·.·°°°♡·..·°¯°·.·°·.·°°°·..·°¯°·.·°·.·°°°·..·°¯°·.·°·.·°°°·..·°♡
You tried to convince yourself for a month that this wasn't a crush. No, that's just not possible, this was Han. Han your best friend. Ordinary Han.
After a while you started dreaming about him too. Sometimes tears would well up in your eyes when you talked to Jennie. It wasn't until a week later that you realized... you were in love with him....
Of course the first person you told was Hanni, your best friend. It was immediate drama.
“Are you serious Y/N?! I've been trying to set you up for years, and only now have I stopped doing so.'
"How could I know that?"
"Because you know your feelings, right?" '
Yes I think..'
"Look, Han has a girlfriend now." "
Yes, I know, but every time I see them..."
tears came to your eyes.
"...I-I don't know why...but..."
Hanni hugged you.
'Shh, I get it, I get it, you compris je comprends. Look, if it's true love, fate will do you good.'
'Do you think?'
'I don't just think so, I definitely am'

2000
You were now 19. And still Han didn't break up with his girlfriend, Jennie. You weren't angry about that, of course, but it was painful to see them kissing or hugging each other.
Of course if Han was happy, you were happy too, you always wished him happiness.
One day you thought, I'm nineteen, maybe I should try to get to know someone? Maybe that will help me? Maybe... You and Han drifted a little further apart, but not too far.
One day you met someone, his name was Changbin, you wanted to introduce him to the rest... You went to the skate park with him, after all these years it was still your meeting place.
'Hello everyone, I want to introduce someone to you. This is Changbin.”
Han looked up at him and you. At first he thought it was strange that you hadn't said anything about it, but that wasn't always the case.
Changbin's arm surrounded you, which bothered Han a bit, but he had a girlfriend, so... Everyone thought Changbin was fantastic. They thought he was hilarious and his laughter was contagious.
When he started laughing, everyone around him automatically laughed too, except Han...
Han didn't know what was wrong with him. Something stuck in his heart. He just couldn't bear it.
Eventually he also started to neglect his girlfriend a bit. They eventually broke up.

2002
After two years, you and Changbin broke up. It wasn't a bad break up. You still remained friends. It was a bit difficult at first, but after two months you were back on your own two feet. You were at university at that time, so your studies were more important.
You and Han still hadn't shared your feelings with each other, even though everyone in your group of friends knew what was going on between you. It was just too hard. You were both too scared to lose your friendship. Of course you guys went on innocent dates sometimes, if you know what I mean.
In 2002 you also started your own career. You had a great passion for music, so you started your own band. It was called Xoxo. That band put you in the spotlight. It was a very popular band in the 2000s.
Your concept changed fashion. You were in that band with four other girls. Collette, Coraline, Violette and Diasy. You always just called them: Coll, Cori, Vicky and Dia. Han also came into the spotlight through his boy group Straykids. It was a strange year, 2002.

2006
When you were 25, the girlgroup Xoxo disbanded. The girls still had fame, everyone went their own path. You went off to the path of acting.
You and Han had finally shared your feelings towards each other. After so many years, you finally dared to take each other's hands and start a new chapter in your lives. Of course you didn't get married right away. Even though you loved each other for 9 years.

You and Han got married in 2009. It was a beautiful wedding, very traditional. The wedding party was attended by his boy group Straykids, of course the former members of Xoxo and not forgetting your group of friends from your teenage years.
Your parents told all kinds of stories about the two of you, back when you were teenagers. The wedding night was the best night of your life. It was full of love and passion, the love and passion you shared for each other.

2010
2010 was the birth of your first child, Han Jr. Han didn't leave your side during the birth. He held your hand the whole time.
You were proud of yourselves for being able to create something so wonderful. Such a beautiful little baby. Han thought it was so wonderful that tears rolled down his cheeks.

2011
Your second baby boy was born, Sungie. The birth took 20 hours, not the birth itself, but to get to 10 centimeters. It was a hard time that day, but you did it. You could say Sungie was a very special baby boy, he had the perfect weight and perfect measurements, but every baby is special in his own way.

2015
You and Han focused for a while on your careers and on your two baby boys. But one day, you accidently got pregnant. Not really 'accidently', but the pregnancy wasn't planned. When you two found out it was a girl, you were pretty excited. A little baby girl, Han's little princess.
The moment Han saw her, he couldn't get away from her. She was daddy's little princess, she still is and forever will be.

2015-2024
Through the years you won many oscars and Han many grammy's. Straykids did eventually disband, but they were still very close. People always asked how you two always stayed this young. You could say that your kids kept you youthy, but you two always were very childish. Han didn't even change a bit, you didn't either. You love grew foreachother everyday. You two still acted a bit like horny teenagers when you two were home alone.
Han Jr. was alreaddy populair at school, you couldn't say you were suprised. He had the looks and the character from his dad, no wonder the girls twirl around him.
Sungie was a more shy-type, but that doesn't mean people liked him less. He had a very unique personality and he was a mix between you and Han. He had your eyes, Han's nose, your lips, Han's faceshape.
Scarlett-Soo was maybe daddy's girl, but she was the mini-verse of you. She was alreaddy a mischief at a young age, but you controlled it well.

'And thats how we met Soo-Soo.'
'Wow, thats a longgg story 엄마.'
'Yeah thats love sweetty.'
'What are mine two favorite lady's talking about?' Han came inside of the kitchen.
' 엄마 told me how you two met, 다다이즘' (Mama,........ dada.)
Han came standing next to you, with his arm around your waist.
'Is that so?'
'예!' (Yes)
'Why won't you go play with your 형제, 좋아요?' (....,brothers, okay?)
'알았어, bye 엄마 아빠' (Okay,... mama and dada.)
Scarlett ran outside and started to look for her brothers.
'I hope you only told them the good stuff.' he smirked.
'With you theirs only the good stuff.' you grinned.
He brought your two lips together and kissed you softly. He bit playfully your underlip.
'Not when the kids are around,아기.' (..... darling.)
'When do their uncels come over?' he asked
'In a hour.'
'Hmmm, i will try to wait for a hour.'
'Hmm you better do baby.'
You heard your kids footsteps so you two started to talk about an other theme.
'The weather is great today, don't you think?' he said
'Oh yeah the weather, yeah its beautifull, don't you think?'
'Yeah, its beautifull.'
''알았어, Soo is annoying me again!' Sungie screamed.
'사실이 아니다!' (Not true!')
You picked her up and started rocking her.
'당신의 삼촌 , they come in less than a hour.' (Your uncels,....)
'Yay!' she moved excited.
You loved your family, you couldn't imagine your life without them. Everything was perfect, even tho sometime's there were arguments. But a marriage with no arguments, is no marriage.
'I will dress this little hamster up.'
'Okay baby.' he kissed your cheek.
'Ewww.' Han Jr. mummered.
'Love is love.' Han sang.
Love is indeed love.

~ Not good enough ~
"Thanks, Mr. Moon" Johnny said chuckling.
"Yeah!" Gunter agreed, coming into the conversation. "I think we pretty much nailed itt!" he finished.
"So, i-is she here?" Rosita asked walking up to Moon. He nodded and motioned them to follow. The audience could be heard laughing as they approached. He moved the curtain slightly and pointed towards a lady. "There. See the dog, middle third row?"
Rosita smiled "Oh, she's younger than I imagined"
He turned to them. "Yeah, well, supposedly, she's the best scout in show business" "I can't tell if..if she's enjoying it" Meena said tilting her head. "Come on, let's get a better view" he said as they followed him onto a wooden plank big enough to fit all of them that was attached to a pulley and pulled the lever.
[Rabbit] "This I know"
[Rabbit 2] "He told me 'Dont worry about it' He told me 'Dont worry no more.' We both know we can't go, without it[music fades]"
They rushed over after Moon to Ms. Crawly. "And how we doing over here, Miss Crawly?" "Oh, very good, Mr. Moon" she looked through her telescope again. "So far, I counted nine smiles, two belly laughs, and five chuckles. Uh, though the last one could've just been gas."
"Well, that's proof, right? She must like the show" he said as he looked at everyone. "Oh, my gosh. You think so?" "I hope so" The two girls said as they smiled. "All right, now, keep up the good work. Come on, everybody, back to positions" Then they began heading back. "She'd be, like, cuckoo not to love the show" Gunter said as he left. Moon sighed happily. "Dream big dreams. [looks over at her]That's what I always said, right?"
"Mm-hmm"
"Well, looks like we're about to take this show to the entertainment capital of the world" "Mr. Moon, she's leaving!" "Huh?" he said as he quickly grabbed the telescope and threw his paper aside to see. "She's leaving the show"
"He told me 'You'll never'..."
She was in fact leaving, now walking in the open space of the red carpet heading towards the door. He gasped before jumping on top of the pole, handing her the telescope "Miss Crawly, stay right here" "What are you gonna do?" "I'm gonna follow that dog" He then jumped and hung from a light on a pulley. Then landed next to Nana with a grunt. She was startled and looked at him. "Good heavens!" "Hey, Nana!"  She fanned herself as he looked around. "What are you doing?"
"The scout is leaving" he said as they both got up to look. Yep, she was indeed heading out the door and also looking at her phone. "Ah, so she is. Hurry" And so he did.
The monkey, who was standing at the double doors opened the second door for her. She nodded with a thank you, looking at her phone still. Luckily he caught her in time. "Uh, Suki? Suki Lane?[sighs/walks down the stair to her] I'm Buster Moon. Uh, hi. So glad you could make it. Um, would you like some popcorn?" She shook her head not looking away from her phone "Oh, no, thanks. I'm not staying for the second half, so..."
"Oh. But, uh, we thought you were enjoying it. I mean, not that we were watching you or anything" "It really is a cute little show. [looks at a poster in front/chuckles]Just not what we're looking for"
"But-but wait. Y-You got to see the second act. I'm-I'm telling you, [chuckles] it's a smash."
She stops and puts her phone away. "Okay, Mr. Moon, can I be honest?" "Of course" "Are you sure? 'Cause folks say that when they don't really mean it" "No, please, please, be as honest as you like"
"You're not good enough" then she opens the door entrance "What?" lifting a hand. "Taxi![looks back at him]You know, maybe I will have that popcorn.[goes to taxi] Look, you've got a nice little local theater here, and it's great for what it is, but trust me, you'd never make it in the big leagues. Take Mrs. L/n for example. You need to be that good. Bye, now" she says as the window rolls up and she gets her phone back out.
Moon was shocked at what she said. "Well, what did she say?" Nana asked walking quickly over to him. He looked at her "Ill be right back" and-
Suki was talking on her phone to someone. "Nah. Mm-mm. [eats a popcorn]A few laughs, bunch of quirky ideas. But, anyway, about Thursday..." There was a tap on the window as she was about to eat another popcorn. She looked over to see "Oh my..." "Yeah, hi. It's me again. [gasps/paddles faster]Whoa whoa" "I'll call you back. [rolls window down]Are you out of your mind?" "When are you holding auditions?"
She stammered. "Tomorrow. But there is no way you'll-" "Uh, listen, it-[HONK HONK]" A red vintage car pulled up to the side of them with a hippo driving it. "Get out of the road, you idiot!" "Hey, do you mind? I'm in a meeting here. [looks at her]Could-could you at least give us a chance to try out for your boss?" he asked still managing to hold onto the car.
She slightly shook her head and looked forward. "Driver, could you please lose this maniac?" the window began rolling up. "Wait, wait, wait, wait. Hold on a second. [car turns fast]No, no, no, no!" Buster on the bike went super fast plus going down stairs, into the air, and into the river.  As a whale came up the crowed groaned, Buster looked around thinking they were cheering for him[they cheer]..he waved and smiled, then it blew water out and Buster went flying..the crowd groaned again.
Buster walked back to the  theater sadly and slowly dripping wet.

Green
Kermit x Joker
Kermit hadn't meant to fall in love.
It had started with the color green, as it always seemed to with him. Fozzy had been watching the show from backstage and pulled Kermit aside with an annoyed look on his face.
"Just so you know, there's a guy in the front row with this real annoying laugh-- Can't miss him, either, he's got bright green hair and some SUPER weird makeup. Break a leg, buddy," he had whispered harshly, "And do your best to ignore the freak."
Great, thought the frog, as if my day couldn't get any worse. He was annoyed at Fozzie, too, for being the bearer of bad news for the second time today, even though it wasn't really his fault that there was so much bad news to bear in the first place.
The first bad news was that their next act had canceled. Which was fine, it was fucking great. No big deal, Kermit would just go out and improvise, like he always had too. It's not like anyone else would step up and save the goddamn show. It was always him.
And now there was some green-haired clown annoying the rest of the audience. Kermit really wasn't in the mood to he heckled.
He stepped out onstage and tried to clear his throat. Tried, rather than did, because at that exact moment his painted, ping pong ball eyes locked onto two acidic, electric green orbs in the front row.
Green hair. Green eyes. Wild makeup, insane smile, and bright, colorful clothing that all but screamed "danger" to the frog. In the animal kingdom, bright colors meant trouble. They meant poison. But to the frog with the frog in his throat and poisonous monarch butterflies shuddering in his felt-lined stomach, those eyes meant something different entirely. Something Kermit didn't quite have time to name as time started up again and he had to address his expectant audience.
"Uh... uh, ladies and gentlemen," he stammered, "I don't know how to tell you this, but uh, frankly, the next act can't make it." He gulped. "Anyhow, I don't have anything to replace it--"
Kermit was cut off by the curtains opening behind him, revealing a blank set. A spotlight found him and thr lights dimmed.
"Oh, boy." He mentally cursed the stage crew for setting him up like this. At this point, it would be more awkward to announce an intermission like he'd planned than just perform something.
"You may have noticed that we're not terribly well organized around here, and..."
Hundreds of blank, dead eyes in the audience, pinning him like one of his kin to a dissection table in a high school classroom. "And, tonight I'm just barely making it, I don't know..." Kermit was a performer. He didn't get stage fright like this. God, he hated having to improvise.
"...sometimes it's very difficult."
He felt them. One hundred soulless eyes boring into a frog damn near his breaking point. He glanced into the front row, desperately wondering what the fuck he was going to sing, or dance, or what stupid jokes he could tell to get him off of this stage the fastest.
Green. Looking right back at him. Paying rapt attention, looking for more than just hollow entertainment. He cocked his head, curious but not mocking, despite his stretched-too-far grin.
The others in the front row had scooted as far away from this man as possible, like his freakishness might infect them if they got too close. His obnoxious laugh, his intensity, so clearly off-putting to those around him but clearly not giving a damn, with his hair proudly dyed a vibrant green that almost made Kermit feel proud of his own dull, dingy color.
Kermit knew what he would sing. He cleared his throat and tried his best to clear his mind as he croaked out the first warbling notes...
"It's not easy bein' green..."

Hey there it's good to see you again, It never felt right calling this "just friends". I'm happy, if you're happy, with yourself.
"Isn't that Yedam?" your friend, sat beside you, asks. They point to somewhere behind your head, and naturally, you turn around to follow their finger with your eyes.
As the doors to the lecture hall swing shut, a familiar boy begins to walk quickly down the steps. While grinning, he decides on a spot near the back, far away from your almost front-row seat. You let out the breath you didn't realize you were holding and face the front.
"Since when did he go to our university?" your friend asks, also facing the front now.
"I have no clue," you admit.
You'd purposely accepted an offer at a faraway university to avoid having to see Yedam ever again after high school. High school had become one of the worst times of your life thanks to him.

Yedam's pov
As soon as I enter the hall, I find [y/n] with my eyes immediately. They look at me with a mix of shock, disgust and hatred, but seeing them fills me with so much joy that I can't help but smile.
Deciding not to bother them, I pick a spot near the back and sit down. I wonder to myself if switching to [y/n]'s school was the right choice...
-
[y/n]'s pov
It was obvious you were too much for me. Oblivious, I was young
Back in high school, you had the fattest crush on one of the school's most popular kids, and you hated yourself for it. It wasn't like you could control your feelings... but your heart was set on him. His smile made you feel so warm and you felt happy despite him not having the slightest clue who you were. You always watched him from afar, peering at him as he walked into the classroom while waving at all of his friends before taking a seat at the back.
By some chance, you got paired with him for an assignment. You thought he would be disappointed, since he had never spoken to you, but contrary to his somewhat intimidating aura as a result of him being a popular kid, he smiled warmly at you as you introduced yourself.
"I know you're [y/n]," he said quietly, looking down at the assignment instructions in front of him.
"How do you know?" you asked him.
He looked up and leaned in closer to you to whisper into your ear, only after being sure that no one was watching.
"It may not seem like it, but I do know my classmates."
When he moved back, he flashed you a grin before returning to the assignment instructions again. Your heartbeat was flooding your ears.
After meeting up several times to do the research and plan out the presentation together, you and Yedam somehow grew closer. You had always thought he was some sort of chic, cool guy, but he turned out to be super soft and sweet. The two of you laughed at each other's dumb jokes and procrastinated late into the night sometimes, only beginning your work when the café was about to close.
On one of those days, Yedam asked if you wanted to go to his place to finish the assignment.
"It's due in two weeks and we still have so much to do... plus we're so busy that we can only meet once a week," he explained, pouting slightly.
You agreed, feeling somewhat nervous and excited at the prospect of going to your crush's house for the first time.
His parents were home but asleep as it was late for them, so the two of you quietly went to his room.
In-between muffled giggles and late-night snacks, the two of you managed to get a lot of work done before you felt as though you'd hit your limit. After yawning and stretching, you told Yedam that it was time you went home.
"Do you live far from here?" he asked you.
You, in fact, did live quite far from his house, but you felt bad telling him this, so you lied and told him you lived close by.
He pouted and looked down.
"I was going to ask if you wanted to just sleep here... but I guess it makes sense for you to go home," he said, helping you pack up your things.
Yedam... wanted you to stay the night? How could you miss such an opportunity! Your crush! Wanted you to stay the night!!
Yedam noticed that you'd stopped moving, holding your pencil case in your hand as you thought about what to say.
"Is everything okay?" he asked you.
"Yeah... I actually... live kind of far," you mumbled, not wanting him to get mad at you for lying.
"You do? Then why did you say you live close by?" he asked, also taking his hands away from your backpack.
"I didn't want you to walk me home or anything," you explained. Yedam smiled at you, shaking his head.
"Don't worry about it now... do you have any clothes to change into?"
"Just my gym clothes... but they're dirty," you told him, shyly.
"Do you want to take something of mine to wear?" he asked you, already standing up to look through his closet without waiting for your answer.
You were going to say no, again, not wanting to bother him, but he had already pulled out some of his comfier clothes for you to wear.
After changing into them and walking back into his room, you avoided Yedam's eyes as he quietly lost his mind over how cute you looked.
"Um, so..." Yedam started, scratching the back of his neck.
"Would you be okay with sleeping in my bed? I'll go sleep in the livingroom-"
"No, no! I'll go sleep there-"
"No, I can't let a guest sleep on the couch!"
Both of you sighed, not being able to win against one another.
"Listen, it's either you sleep in my room and I go to the livingroom, or we both sleep in my bed," he said, pointing to his bed behind you.
You froze, trying to consider your options as your heartbeat grew louder.
"Well... I guess we're both sleeping here then," you said, in a tone that tried to sound confident but was a little shaky.
You plopped yourself face first into the bed to hide from your embarrassment, feeling the bed shift a few seconds later as Yedam joined you.
"Scooch over towards the wall. I'll sleep on this side so you won't fall off the bed at night," he said, pointing to the side of his bed that faced the rest of his room. You smiled at Yedam's kind gesture as you moved over.
He had turned off the light and it was dark now, and both of you lay side-by-side on your backs, staring up at the ceiling.
"Are you... asleep?" he asked you quietly a while later. You shook your head at first, but then realized he couldn't see you. So you said a quiet "no".
You felt Yedam shift as he turned to face you. You carefully turned your head towards him too, wondering what he was up to. It was hard to see in the dark, but he was just admiring your face. You looked away, feeling embarrassed, until you felt him shuffling closer to you.
It was a little nerve-wracking watching his figure tower over you in the dark. Blinking up at him, you parted your lips to ask him what he was doing, but he spoke first.
"Am I allowed to... kiss you?" he asked, quietly looking down at you.
Yedam... wants to ???? Your crush wanted-
You found yourself nodding before your thoughts could entirely be processed, and watched as Yedam lowered himself onto you with a small smile. His heart soared as he watched your reaction -- your eyes were squeezed shut so tightly out of nervousness.
Before his soft lips met yours, he found your hand under the blankets and held it in an attempt to ease you of your nervousness. He didn't know that it only made your stomach feel the effects even more intensely.
Your lips touched for only a moment, but it felt like a whole eternity. When he pulled away, he moved off of you quickly and shuffled over to his side of the bed again.
"I'm sorry.. I'm so sorry," he mumbled, looking away from you. You were confused.
"What's wrong?" you asked him.
"I... I was supposed to tell you I like you first but then now you're right beside me--wait not that I like you... wait I mean I do, but I didn't want to tell you like this--"
Hearing his unsure confession was all the confidence you needed to pull him closer, accidentally tightening his hoodie strings as you pulled him in to carefully press your lips against his again. He completely melted into your hands, then, wrapping an arm around your back and holding you close.
That was probably one of the last good memories you have of him.
After that, Yedam turned into a different person the next morning, avoiding your eyes and missing any trace of a smile on his face as he pushed a plate of breakfast towards you.
"Let's not walk to school together, okay? I'll be leaving first," he told you, leaving you alone in his own house.
You had no clue what was going on and no appetite to eat. After waiting a few minutes, you walked to school after him. You had no idea how to even get to school from his house, so after getting lost and arriving late, you finally managed to make it.
When you tried to approach him in class, he would turn his back on you and ignore you. It made you feel so small that you stopped even trying.
It was really hard for you to show up to school after that, because of how terrible you felt, but you still tried your best. Your friends knew something was wrong and they did their best to help you, but it didn't stop you from thinking about Yedam and why he was acting so strangely.
Until he texted you one day in the middle of class, asking you to meet him in an empty classroom.
You told yourself you shouldn't pay him any attention, especially after he ghosted you like that, but you still followed after him, curious to see what excuse he would give you.
In the classroom, you couldn't see anyone, so you thought Yedam hadn't arrived yet until you heard him call out your name from behind a file cabinet. By the windows.
"Come here, [y/n]," he said, motioning for you to approach him. He was smiling at you again, just like he did on those days when you'd study with him in the café. You told yourself to just turn around and leave, but your feet guided you to him.
You frowned up at him.
"What the heck have you been doing?" you asked him, tears already threatening to leave your eyes.
"[y/n], I-I'm sorry... you know how it is for me, with my popular reputation. Some kids saw us at the café and posted pictures of us, saying that I was going around dating a loser-"
He was holding onto your hands while wearing a pitiful expression, but you coldly pushed him away after hearing him out.
"So you've been acting weird because I'm tainting your reputation? Yedam, we never even dated! You gave me some... half-assed confession and... kissed me in the middle of the night and then ghosted me," you told him, sternly.
"I know, I'm sorry... It's so pathetic but I really do like you... I'm just really bad at this, I know, but I'm telling you now I like you-"
"In an empty classroom. Behind a file cabinet."
"Please, [y/n]. Date me for real... I promise I won't let you down."
You and your kind, innocent heart believed his promise. You believed him because his eyes were sparkling and he was holding onto you so tightly.
Yedam told you that you had to date him in secret, and that was just one of many red flags. He explained that if his friends found out, he would be teased and you would be hurt by their words, too. Nonetheless, you agreed. At school, you never spoke to him. All you got were stolen glances, Yedam winking at you every time you turned around in your seat. Somehow, that was enough to make your heart flutter.
You could only see each other in each other's homes, since even the risk of being caught out on a date was too much for Yedam to handle. The two of you would intertwine hands while watching a movie. You'd rest your head on Yedam's shoulder, or sometimes he would rest his head in your lap and you would gently stroke his hair, watching as his eyes squeezed shut tightly while he indulged in the feeling of your love.
Sometimes the two of you would listen to music together, quietly sharing earphones while staring out the window.
Sometimes you would just talk for hours into the night.
Yedam's smile would never leave his face when he was with you.
Except for when he was at school.
And you could handle it. At least you thought you could, until the final straw.
For Yedam's birthday, a few of his friends had gathered in his home, celebrating. You were also invited, of course, after you begged Yedam to let you come. He had told his friends that he invited you as a gesture of thanks for working on the assignment with him... it broke your heart to hear this lie, but you shrugged it off, again.
Everyone was feeling excited as they all started a game of spin-the-bottle. You felt incredibly out of place and already angry, even more so upon seeing a girl getting all handsy with Yedam, stroking his thigh with her hand and playing with his hair. She was constantly glued to him, but you shrugged it off, again.
After the bottle's mouth faced Yedam, the girl beside him dared him to kiss someone. How childish, you thought to yourself. You watched as Yedam locked eyes with you and started to stand up, making his way towards you with a small smile, but the girl beside him stopped him.
"Where are you going, damie? Isn't it me who you should kiss?"
Yedam looked back at her and then at you.
"I-"
"C'mon, it's your birthday!" she said, dragging him back down.
That literally is not an excuse and makes no sense, you scoffed to yourself, rolling your eyes.
The next few moments were a blur, but Yedam ended up kissing her and you felt like a piece of paper being torn in two. We can't even look at each other in public, you thought to yourself. You fought back tears and got up to leave. No one seemed to mind or care about where you were going, since none of these people were your friends anyway. Even Yedam was preoccupied, his lips on the mouth of this other girl.
You couldn't just shrug things off anymore. This was it. Now, it was your turn to ghost Yedam.
You hadn't told him, but your family were planning to move to another city soon. You told them to plan the move for earlier so you could leave that dreaded place and leave Yedam. Ignoring all his calls and texts, you transferred out the next week, and that was that.
-
I'm gonna break down these walls, I built around myself. I wanna fall so in love, with you, and no one else, Could ever mean half as much, to me as you do now. Together we'll move on, just don't turn around, Let the walls break down.
You can't focus in lecture as everything that happened with Yedam flashes before your eyes. Just as you're starting to live a normal life without him, he has to show up and allow of the trauma to resurface.
As soon as your class ends, you quickly pack your bags. Your friend does the same, understanding exactly what is going on. But it seems like Yedam and his feet move a little faster.
Just as you're about to leave your row, you look up to find Yedam standing at the end of it, a small smile on his face.
You sigh and turn around, telling your friend to do the same so you can leave through the other side. But Yedam just follows behind you quietly. He doesn't say a word and just follows you as you and your friend as you leave the lecture hall to go to your next class.
Suddenly, you stop. Your friend and Yedam stop, too.
You turn around, your fist clenched into a tight ball.
"Yedam, can you please stop following me? Do you not have classes of your own or things to do? Please leave me alone," you told him, turning your back on him again and walking forward.
Your friend didn't follow you, though, but looked back and forth between you and Yedam. So lost in your thoughts, you walk to class on your own, not noticing that your friend isn't following you.

Yedam's pov
After they say those words and leave, I feel my heart breaking in two. Of course I know how much I've hurt [y/n], but their words make me realize that I'll never be able to completely understand. I almost start crying right there and then...
"Yedam, right?" their friend asks me. I look at them and nod, confused.
"Listen, [y/n] hates your guts. They're not going to talk to you and hear you out, so I'll do it instead. I know [y/n] might regret it if they don't hear you out, even if they don't want to."
I smile at [y/n]'s friend. That sounds exactly like [y/n]...
"You've probably heard a lot of awful things about me, and it's all true. But... [y/n] probably didn't tell you about those nights we spent in each other's rooms... the times that we did get to spend with each other alone.... sorry, what I'm trying to say is that I've always loved [y/n]. Not even 'like', but I've always loved them. And I don't think I'll be able to stop... I know I was such a terrible boyfriend back then. I don't think I can say I even was much of a boyfriend... but I've changed. I can promise that I've changed. I know it must be so arrogant of me to ask if they'll give me another chance but..."
I trail off, my brain shutting down as I struggle to find anymore words to express myself. [y/n]'s friend nods after I trail off.
"I see... well, I've heard about your promises. I heard they couldn't be trusted but if you've changed, then maybe that has changed, too. [y/n] has a really kind heart, but I won't let them date a jerk ever again. So unless we both know for sure that you're different now, we are not letting you date them."
With that, [y/n]'s friend walks away and leaves me there.
-
[y/n]'s pov
In class, you feel completely empty, unsure of how to feel. You only notice that your friend had not been beside you this entire time when they take a seat in the spot beside you, apologizing that they're late.
"Where were you?" you ask them, looking up as they sit down.
"I was talking to Yedam," your friend tells you, never one to lie.
Your face fills with disgust at the mention of his name.
"Why would you do that?" you whisper loudly, causing some heads in the lecture hall to turn your way. You mumble an apology before returning to your friend.
"I wanted to hear him out," they say, casually opening up their notes.
"What did he say?"
"So you are interested, huh?" they ask you, teasing.
"No, I'm not!"
"I know, calm down! He just said something along the lines of how he's always loved you and does now, too, and that he's changed--"
"That is the most garbage thing I've ever heard," you say, interrupting your friend with a scoff. They smile, shaking their head at you.
-
When you return to your dorm after all your classes, you find a small gift bag hanging on the door knob to your room. Curious, you pick it up and notice it has your name written on the side.
You could recognize that handwriting from a mile away.
As if it's the side of a hot pan, you drop it, watching its contents spill to the ground. A pack of your favourite snack falls out, along with a neatly handwritten note, a CD player and earphones.
I guess it wouldn't hurt to look, you tell yourself.
Picking everything up and walking into your room, you sit on your bed and read the note over.
[y/n]!! ah, it doesn't make sense for me to be cute or excited in this note, does it? >.< please forgive me.... i'm a little nervous... here is that snack that you've always loved... do you still love it now, too? and here is something that i wrote for you~it's on the CD. just press play and i'll let the song do the talking... i wrote this after you disappeared.
- yedam
This song better be god tier if he's coming to leave it at my door, you think to yourself.
As the song fills your ears, it seems to fill your empty heart too. You can tell it's full of Yedam's sincere feelings and thoughts... or he's just doing a good job of acting while singing. You can't seem to tell, but you still tear up a little.
You hear the door to your room swing open, as your friend, who also happens to be your roommate, barges in.
"What are you up to?" they ask, placing some things on their desk. They turn around immediately when they hear you sniffling.
"ARE YOU CRYING?" they shout, sitting beside you and wrapping their arms around you.
"This... song... Yedam..." you croak, just handing them the earphones.
When they listen to it, they also go quiet.
"It sounds really sincere..." your friend tells you, quietly.
"I'm not the only one who feels that way?" you ask your friend, looking at them.
"You know him better than I do, so you're probably right," they tell you, standing up.
"Why did this boy have to show up and make a mess of my life again," you groan, hiding your face in your hands.
"Well, I have just the solution! I know you're probably going to think about him and not get any work done anyway, so should we just go to a party?!" your friend tells you, jumping up and down.
"A party?" you wrinkle your nose in disgust.
"It'll help you stop thinking about him! Please, we never went to any parties last year!! Let's go, just this once!" they beg.
After thinking it over, you agree. What's the worst that could happen?
-
Wearing one of your favourite fits and feeling good, you walk alongside your friend, who already has a groove in their step as the two of you make your way to the house where the party is set to be held. It isn't that hard to find, since you're just following the bright lights and loud music in the distance. It's a wonder the people in that house aren't being arrested for causing such a ruckus...
Finally there, you step inside and try not to bump into any weird people. The music is so loud its deafening, and you shrivel up at the sound of it. Your friend wraps their arm around you, pulling you in close and guiding you to the snack/drink area so you can take what you need and go to a quieter place.
Your friend did beg you to come today, so they won't force you to dance or do any things you don't want to do...
Now equipped with everything you need, you make your way to the basement, where it's a lot quieter despite being so busy.
"How's this for a change?" your friend asks you, grooving along to the distant sound of the music from upstairs.
"It seems like you want to dance," you tell your friend.
They shake their head.
"I'll stay with you toniiiiiight!" they cheer, hugging you tightly. You laugh.
"It's fine, just go up! The crowd doesn't seem too scary or weird down here," you tell them as you watch two people play mario kart in front of a TV.
After asking you 1000 times if it's really okay, they leave you there with a drink in your hand. You continue watching the two people playing mario kart, secretly rooting for the boy in orange because his fit looks really nice, even if you're only looking from the back.
He ends up losing and you let out a "noooo!" loud enough for the two to hear. When they turn around, you discover that the boy in orange had been Yedam all along!
I take back rooting for him... he deserved to lose!
Widening your eyes at the sight of him, you quickly turn away and try to navigate your way towards another room. To your surprise, as soon as you walk in, Yedam is in there, holding the door open at the other end and panting.
"[y/n]," he calls out softly, smiling slightly. You can tell he's testing the waters and wondering how to react.
You try to walk out of the room, but the door behind you has been shut by some drunken idiot! He's pressed up against the frame and no matter how much you push, the door just won't open.
"[y/n], if you want to leave, it's okay. I don't want to bother you," Yedam tells you, stepping aside from the other door and motioning for you to walk through.
You sigh.
"No, it's fine. I guess we're here for a reason now, or something," you mumble, sliding down the wall until you're in a comfortable sitting position.
Yedam smiles, closing the door behind him.
"Still caught up in all that destiny stuff?" he asks you, joining you in sitting on the ground but also keeping his distance.
You scoff in response. How does this kid remember everything about me?
"So... what are you doing in my house?' he asks you.
"Your.... house?"
"Yeah, this is my house. You didn't know?" he asks you, looking bewildered.
You think about your friend. They must have brought you here while knowing it was Yedam's house...
"Um... nevermind that. How... have you been?" Yedam asks you, wringing his hands.
"Me? I've been doing great until now. How about you?" you spit out your words sarcastically, but Yedam doesn't seem to mind.
"I've been... well... I'm not sure. It would be cheesy for me to say I've been feeling lost without you, but that's kind of how it is," he tells you, chuckling nervously.
"Yeah, super cheesy. It also doesn't make sense, Yedam," you tell him, avoiding his eyes.
"I know it doesn't, but to me it does. I know our relationship was a mess, but those times that we spent together were... something else. Probably some of the best times of my life, honestly," he tells you.
"And why... are you telling me this?" you ask him, curious to see how he'll respond.
"Because I know I'm in the wrong and there's no excuse for my past childishness, but... I've missed you. And I still do. I know I was really caught up in my reputation back then and I didn't open myself up to you properly, but I want to do that now."
He runs his fingers through his hair, and something inside you turns. You didn't realize just how much you loved it when Yedam did that until now... he looks so pretty--
No. What are you thinking?!
"I haven't missed you though, Yedam," you say.
He smiles sadly.
"I know. And there's no reason for you to. But I'm just... asking for a second chance in case you think there's anything left."
You gulp and look up at the ceiling. You hadn't even considered the possibility of dating Yedam again, but talking with him now is different. He's less cautious and seems to be a lot more comfortable with you.
Someone knocks on the door behind Yedam and Yedam tells them to come in.
"Oh, am I interrupting?" the boy asks, slowly backing away.
"It's fine, I'm just talking to [y/n]," Yedam says with a smile, gesturing towards you. You greet the boy and his eyes light up.
"[y/n]?! The one you always tell me about? Gosh... it's so nice to meet you!" the boy says, shaking your hand and sitting down in front of you.
"You put up with a lot of Yedam's antics, I've heard," he says, laughing. Yedam laughs along, but you're still in shock.
Yedam had never told anyone about you... but now this random boy knows everything?
"It was more than antics. I was... really bad to [y/n]. I'm surprised they haven't left yet," Yedam admits, leaning back.
"I transferred to your old high school after you transferred out, and this boy was always sad. He didn't talk to anyone but me, only because the teacher asked him to show me around. He told me everything about you and eventually told the rest of his friends, too. You were his biggest and only heartbreak... I swear everyone at our school knows about you," the boy explains.
"What did you tell them?" you ask Yedam.
"He told us how he had been dating you in secret because he was afraid to ruin his popularity, but that he regrets it a lot. A lot of his friends left him after finding out you dated Yedam," the boy explains. Yedam nods along.
You're in shock. The boy who was so secretive and insecure exposed himself as a heartbreaker?
"Anyways, I'm sorry to be interrupting. I'll leave now!" the boy says, standing up and closing the door behind him.
"You... told everyone?" you ask Yedam. He nods.
"I feel like it was the only thing I could do for you. You deserved to be known as the one who held my heart," he says, holding his chest and laughing at his own cheesy words.
You find yourself laughing along and loosening up.
A moment of silence stretches between the two of you, and Yedam breaks it by standing up.
"Do you wanna play mario kart with me? You seemed to be having fun watching," Yedam asks you quietly.
You nod, also standing up.
The two of you play for about an hour, screaming and yelling at the TV just like you used to in your bedroom when you'd play games together.
"I won!" you declare in glee, turning to Yedam to do your signature high five with him. His hands meet yours, and you only realize what you're doing only after its already happened. You awkwardly move your hands away, facing the screen again.
"I'm sorry..." you mumble.
"No, I'm sorry! It's really okay, [y/n]... if you feel uncomfortable around me, you don't have to--"
"Your song touched me a lot, Yedam. And now I feel like... I want to try again. Just like this game," you say, pointing to the screen that has try again written in the corner.
"Are you sure?" he asks you, slowly.
You nod, deciding you've made up your mind. You've seen a lot of green flags already -- enough to decide that it's okay to move forward.
Yedam smiles and looks down at his lap. Then his head lifts up quickly, his eyes lighting up.
"I can take you to that café you always wanted to go! They have one in this city... and there's a museum next to it too! Do you want to go there? I.."
As he continues talking, you realize that all of the things he's saying he wants to do were things that you never did with Yedam, even after one year of dating him. It was always stay-at-home dates and ignore-each-other-when-we're-at-school. Somehow, you feel excited, wondering what things will be like.
"[y/n]! I've been looking everywhere for--oh, Yedam? Hi!" your friend greets you both.
"Did you have fun dancing?" you ask them. They nod, pointing to Yedam with their eyes.
You get up and whisper into your friend's ear.
"We have a lot to talk about, but I think..."
Your friend doesn't even wait for you to finish before they say, "well, I have to leave early now. Yedam, can you walk [y/n] home? Great, thanks!"
With that, they disappear and you shake your head at your friend's strange behaviour.
Yedam is all smiley while still sitting on the ground.
"Do I get to walk you home now?" he asks you, standing up.
"I wonder what would've happened if you walked me home that day, too..." you mumble, thinking about the day you slept over at Yedam's in the same bed as him.
"What, do you want to sleep over today, too?" he asks you.
You shake your head.
"I don't want things to turn out like that again."
"You mean, you don't want me to kiss you like I did then?" Yedam teases you, sending you a wink.
"You--shut up!" you yell, chasing after him with a pillow.
This boy literally broke my heart, you think to yourself. He is testing his limits...
After you both calm down, Yedam walks you home. It's a little quiet at first, until Yedam speaks.
"Can... I hold your hand?" he asks you.
"This soon?" you say, still grabbing his hand anyway. He looks down at your hand in his and smiles.
"Yeah... you don't know how long I've been wanting to do this for," he admits, swinging your arm up and down as you walk.
You shake your head at him.
"Let's run!" Yedam declares, racing forward with your hand in his. You trail behind him, the sound of laughter escaping your lips and ringing in Yedam's ears. It leaves a bright blush on his face as he thinks to himself about how much he's missed your laughter.
The two of you slow down, panting.
"I'm so tired," Yedam wheezes, laughing at how weird he sounds.
"Do you want me to kiss it better?" you tease him. He raises his eyebrows at the comment. Maybe it's the adrenaline from all the running or the feeling of the night air, but a courage surges through you as you snake your hand around the back of his head and pull him towards you, pressing his warm lips to yours.
You pull away shortly after, feeling breathless again. A blush dusts Yedam's cheeks as he stares at you with wide eyes.
Your own stomach is full of butterflies, but you ignore it and walk forward.
"Are you not coming?" you yell to the boy behind you. He laughs and chases after you.
[a/n]: i just want to say that i do not condone getting back together with a toxic ex so soon... i was just really excited while writing and sped up the plot >.< but don't ever get back with someone who has hurt you unless you are 100% sure! please take care of yourself!!

----------------------------------------------------------
I take a deep breath in and out as I do a messy bun. I feel like I am getting ready for a marathon. My heart is already beating stronger and faster than normal and I haven't pressed the calling button yet. It's crazy how he makes me feel even when he isn't here, next to me… Just a thought of him and it makes my heart racing. I wonder how he feels when I'm close to him, talking to him, or just when someone mentions me. Does he even think about me sometimes? I know Phil is pretty confident about himself but that doesn't mean he cannot feel nervous, right? Anyway... I have a call to make. Alright, one last deep breath in and out and… Oh, you're such an idiot, MC… I'm so nervous that I'm calling the Aurora instead of his phone… I hope he is still at his bar.
- "Hello?" I hear Phil's voice echoing right after he answered. At least I know he is still there... His voice is so restful and deep. I smile just by this simple note coming from his voice.
- "Hi, I'd like to talk with Mr. Aurora", I answered the man, sounding playful as I let a small chuckle out.
- "MC" calls me, Phil, chuckling back. Oh God... You're not allowed to do that! My smile grows as I can picture him just by hearing him chuckling. It's so contagious... "Wait, before you say anything, I'm so sorry about..." He suddenly tells me which surprised me. He spoke so fast...
- "Phil, I'm not upset or mad or anything. Don't worry. It wouldn't be right of me to be upset with you anyway.", I immediately reply to the man, interrupting him. I do not want him to feel guilty or awkward about what happened. There's no need for that...
- "Why not? That girl literally shamed you and flirted with me in front of you." He tells me back, sounding confused as to why I am not angry. I mean… I guess there's reason to be upset but not angry. But are they worth being said out loud right now? I'm not sure...
- "Well, one, you're free to have whatever kind of relationship you want. I don't have a word to say about that. And two, we're not together so I don't see why it should matter." I answer to Jessy's brother which didn't sound that harsh in my head. I close my eyes and hit my face with my hand. Why did I say that? He's going to think I am not in for something with him or that I might have moved on from trying something with him. But then, do I want something with him? Am I ready to be in a relationship with Phil despite the kind of man he is? I mean, he can change… Right? Well, he already changed, right? For a moment, a dead silence takes place in the phone call. "Are you still there?" I ask Phil, my voice sounding faint compared to before.
- "Yeah, yeah... I was just deep in thoughts." He responds to me, sounding… Hurt? Disappointed? Maybe both... I couldn't tell. I let a quiet sigh out as I feel my heart beating so strongly down my chest. I need to know… Even if it scares me, even if it might not pleasure me to hear what he is going to say, I need to know.
- "Can I ask you something?" I gently demand to the boy.
- "Of course, Gorgeous" he answers softly. And the deepness of his voice is just so amazing to hear...
- "Are you being serious about... I mean... Are you really trying to... Do you really…" I sigh again but louder this time. How is he supposed to understand what I want to ask him if I can't put three words in a row? "I'm sorry, I don't know how to formulate my question." I tell him as I lightly shake my head. I'm such an idiot...
- "You want to know if I am playing with you or not?" He tells me as if he just read my thoughts. Oh... Am I this obvious?
- "Yeah. It's just... I'm having a hard time to believe that you actually want something with me. I mean... It's just easier to think that you want something from me than with me. Especially when I see the kind of girls you liked before…" I confess to the boy, telling him my worries all while hoping it doesn't make him step away from me. I don't want to lose him because I worry to much or don't open easily to him... I just need time.
- "I never said I liked them, MC." He calmly answers before hearing him blowing some smoke.
- "But you must have felt something for them, otherwise, you wouldn't have wanted a night with them." I reply to him with an unsure tone.
- "It was just physical attraction, nothing more. It's different from you. With you, it's not just the attraction, it's... It's the spark that I don't have with the others." He tells me sincerely and seriously, always sounding so calm but so sincere at the same time. I hum as I look down. I want to believe him… And maybe I do actually. But there's always this lack of confidence in me that brings me to my rational side. "I told you, MC, and I'll say it again. I love you. Now, I know what you think about me and I know what people say about me. But I don't care. And I care even less of those chicks. I only care about you." He admits to me with the same tone as before, sounding lightly desperate for me to believe him. I care about you too, Phil… More than you think, more than I certainly should. I stay quiet as I meditate on everything happening right now. There is a lot to think about. Suddenly, I hear a light sigh coming from Phil. "MC, do you trust me?" He suddenly asks me. Oh… Well...
- "Of course, Phil." I answer instantly, nodding positively even though he doesn't see me.
- "Then trust me when I say that I'll be ready to change things from me to be with you." He confesses seriously before blowing some smoke again. Change… But I don't want him to change...
- "I don't want you to change anything from you. I just... I'm just not confident enough." I tell and confess to the boy, admit my lack of confidence to him. It actually feels weird… Why am I telling him that?
- "If you let me, I'll prove to you that I really love you and that I'm not trying to play around with you. But I'll only do it if you want me to give you that proof. I'll never force you to do anything. It's your call." He says seriously and sincerely, letting me all the cards in my hands. It's my call… I smile, unable to stop it. Why do I smile in a moment like this one? How can he make me smile in a conversation like this one?
- "You're charming." I tell him which makes the boy chuckle. "I didn't give you your hug." I recall, sounding like I am kind of excusing myself to him.
- "I know. It broke my little heart." He says jokingly even though I could hear he was serious in a way. I giggle at his answer despite being sorry. "Maybe you could give it to me tomorrow night, Gorgeous." He suggests before a small pause takes place in the conversation. "Huh, you're coming to Jessy's birthday tomorrow night, right?" He asks me with an unsure tone.
- "Yes, why wouldn't I?" I demand him back, sounding confused.
- “When are your uncle's funerals?” he questions me, ignoring my questions. The funerals…? Why is he asking about that?
- “Huh... Tomorrow morning.” I begin to answer when something just comes up in my mind. Of course... “Oh, I get it. You think I shouldn't go or I wouldn't want to go to the party?” I tell him, sounding like I have just read his mind this time.
- “Well, I just thought you would have preferred to be alone, maybe? That you wouldn't be in the mood for a party.” He responds so gently and so calmly, clearly caring about my emotions. I could hear how much he cares for me just by the sound of his voice. It’s crazy…!
- “Well, I will certainly be down but, I'd rather be with my friends than alone at home, especially in a time like this one. It's not…” I let a small sigh out. “It’s not good to stay alone. And my uncle wouldn't want me to stay by myself anyway, so…” I reply to the man I have been having a crush on for so long. The pain was heard in my voice.
- “Well, you can call or send me a message if you need to talk, okay? Anytime. I'll be there for you, MC.” He answers sincerely and seriously, showing me his support.
- “Thanks, Phil. That means a lot.” I tell sincerely to the boy, cracking a smile. That warmed my heart.
- “I'm sorry but I'm going to have to hang up, Gorgeous. I need to do the closing.” He says with a disappointed tone towards himself because he needs to hang up. Oh already...
- “Sure, no problem. I'll see you tomorrow. Goodnight.” I tell him as I smile like an idiot. Again... Thank God he cannot see me...
- “See you, Gorgeous. Goodnight.” He wishes me back, letting a soft chuckle out. Oh… I keep a smile over my face and hang up. Why did I fall for an idiot like him?
~ Next day, morning ~
Next morning, I wake up and do my little ritual before getting ready. I out on a black dress with black heels but don't bother putting on the small amount of make up I usually wear. It's not necessary, I will ruin it with my cries anyway... Mom is waiting for me at her home. I told her I would pick her up before going to the funeral. I know mom is strong but I’m not sure she’ll be able to drive after the funeral. And to be fair, I’m not sure I will be able myself, but I’ll try… I have to be there for her, firstly, then myself.
~ A few hours later ~
I feel so strange. I feel like a piece of me was ripped and is missing, but at the same time, I feel relieved. I mean… I feel like my uncle is finally resting in peace and I can try to move on, live my life like he would want me to do. Though, I just can’t stop thinking about him… I want to turn the page but I'm also scared to forget him at the same time which isn't a good match. When I saw the white flowers set for my uncle's funeral, I was just so happy. They looked amazing. I just wished I could have bought those flowers for another and more joyful reason though... Anyway, maybe Phil was right to worry if I would come or not to Jessy’s birthday party tonight. I really don’t feel in the mood right now… And certainly not later either…
After dropping my mother at her home, I stayed for a moment with her. I just needed to make sure she'll be okay. And I also needed to be with my mom. I needed my mom. Anyway, I am finally on my way back home as Jessy won’t be long now. I park my car and walk up toward my little apartment. Oh… I’ve got a message.
- “Hey, MC, I’m sorry but I have to go help Cleo with something so I don’t think I’ll be able to make it in time at your home. Can we meet up at the Aurora, instead?” I read her text message which was sent an hour and a little more ago. I completely forgot to pour the sound back on so I didn't hear any of the notifications I received. "I keep my phone close to me though. So if you need to talk, I'll be there." I read her second message. A small smile comes over my lips.
- “Of course, Jessy, no problem. I’ll see you there.” I simply respond to her message as I don’t want to bother my mind right now. I don't want to talk. I guess I’ll get the chance to rest a bit before going to the party. Maybe I’ll be a little more motivated to go there after…
A few hours later, I am on my way to the Aurora to go meet up with the others. Well, I'll probably be the first one since I always come early. There’s a part of me wishing I could actually be home, lying on my sofa in front of the TV, and do nothing, and the other part is telling me, “is Phil alone right now? Will I have a heart to heart moment with him?”. Yes… I think… Yeah, I think I want to tell him that I want to give him a chance if he is really willing to have something serious. I don’t know if it is the right thing to do or not but, I need to… Live. I need to try new things. I need to challenge myself. Telling my emotions to him, how I feel about him, it’s something new. It’s just so hard to talk about how I feel most of the time. Especially saying my feelings to the boy I have a crush on since… A while now.
The streets are enveloped by the darkness of the night, but the streetlights bring some light to them. Thankfully, it's a calm night without any rain pouring down.
- Hey!!” I hear a familiar voice screaming in my back. Not so calm now... Though the voice sounded… Off. It was a man for sure, but the person didn’t sound very "fine". He talked quite slower than a normal person would do normally and he half chew over his words. Is he drunk? I continue my way, ignoring the man. That's the best thing to do... “Hey, MC, is that you?” What? Who...? I turn quickly around to just give a glance at the person, but I don’t stop walking. Oh… My boss…? What is he doing here? “Whatever. Why don’t you come see your favorite boss, Baby Girl? You could be surprised by me.” He says in a drunk way as he points at me with a bottle. Oh… Huh… I didn't see it before. Hell no! I clear my throat, feeling uncomfortable and scared. I…
Without thinking further, I start to run away from him as I know the Aurora isn’t far from here now. It’s just a couple street corners away… I run as fast as I can, hoping to lose him. Which some chances, he is too drunk to actually run after me. Well, he did still seemed a little bit himself despite the alcohol... There! I can see the colorful light from the bar lightening the street. Please, be there.... Alone or with someone, I don’t care…. Just be there. I rush inside the Aurora and immediately close the door behind me before sticking my back against the door. I thought I was going to make a fool out of myself in front of people, but it’s empty… Though, Phil is standing behind the counter, cleaning some glasses. Breathless, I quickly lock the door and step away from it as I walk backward towards the counter.
- “Gorg…” I hear Phil calling me with his lovely voice. Though, it was quick to faint. “Did you just close my bar?” He asks me with a confused tone as he points at the door. I look up at him, fear flashing over my face. Wow, I didn’t think I was this scared actually... “MC, what's wrong?” He asks me right away with concern while walking around the counter to join my sides.
- “Phil, he's following me.” I tell him rapidly and out of breath as I walk towards him to meet him midway. Wow, I… I didn’t even control myself. It’s like my body just talked for myself, walked over to him, needing to feel this protecting feeling.
- “Wow, calm down. What are you talking about? Who's follow you?” He says calmly and seriously as his hands come grabbing my shoulders. Oh… I stare into his eyes, reading the calmness in them. Though, I can read the concern in them. Suddenly, there’s a loud thud coming from outside which made me jump and gasp, breaking eye contact with Phil. I turned around and found my boss standing outside, still holding his bottle in one hand. He managed to get here without falling? Oh God... Seriously?!
- “MC, bring your sweet little ass outside before I fire you!” I hear him yelling in the middle of the street which made me take a step back. Even with a wall and a locked door separating us, he still scares me. Phil grabs my wrist as he takes a step forward, shielding my body with his.
- “He's drunk and clearly worse than when he's sober…” I inform to the man as we notice that my boss is trying to get inside Phil’s bar. Please, don't break anything here... “I'm sorry. I didn't mean to bring him to your bar but…” I rapidly apologize to Phil, shaking my head negatively as I dance on my feet. I shouldn't have come here...
- “Hey, it's okay. I'm glad you actually found your way here." He tells me reassuringly and so calmly. "Stay here. It's okay.” He tells me with the same comforting tone while motioning me to not move. Huh… What is he doing? Phil goes to the front door, looking so upset. He unlocks it and opens it before stepping outside. Though, he makes sure to close it back behind him. “What can I do for you, sir?” I hear him asking seriously to the drunk man. It’s faint, but I can still hear their voices.
- “You?” Says, my boss, while rudely pointing at Phil with the bottle and frowning confused. “You work here?” He tells him with surprise as if Phil wouldn't be able or wouldn't be smart enough to work here.
- “I even own the place.” answers, Phil, crossing his arms over his chest.
- “Right... Look, I'm not goin' to bother you 'ny longer. Just tell me where the little wh**e is?” Then asks, my drunk boss, half screaming in the middle of street. I'm actually pretty sure he doesn't notice that he talks so loudly. Wow... He definitely doesn't know what pet names are...
- “Excuse me?” Questions, Phil, sounding very unpleased and like he heard him wrong. Though, I can tell that it is making his blood boiling.
- “Don't play dumb, boy. Where's she? She and I nee' to talk. If you know what I mean.” I hear my boss saying before he smirks, looking hungry for… Ugh! He’s such a pig! Knowing the thought he must have with me, I grimace with disgust. “She seems like a good little b**ch waiting to be f***ed.” He says before starting to laugh drunkenly. I knew he wasn't nice, but I never thought he had such a disgusting side...
- “Mmh... You see, I deal with clients all day long and I noticed that there are three different types. First one is the nice ones. The ones who come enjoy a drink or two and then go. Then, there are the annoying ones. They take a few drinks and start talking very loudly and getting a little bit out of line but it's still correct in a way. Finally, there are the ones that get to another level which is disrespect and being rude. Unfortunately, that happens to make me angry. Sadly, you're there right now. So I suggest you turn around and walk away while you can.” Replies politely and professionally, Phil, trying not to lose his cool despite the anger rising more and more. I know it. I see it. Just by the sight of the vein popping in his neck and the way he firmly closes his fists… His knuckles look so white...
- “Are you threatening me, boy?” questions, my boss, trying to play tough despite the fact that he struggles to stay still on his two feet.
- “No, It's just a "friendly" advice from one boss to another. Be smart. Take it. Turn around and walk away.” He tells him seriously, trying to make the man go away before it goes too far. I just hope he isn’t as stubborn as he is when he is sober… I stare at them from inside the bar, frowning with concern. This situation makes me so nervous. My boss is clearly unpleased by Phil’s words. Suddenly, the man starts screaming and draws his bottle towards Phil. Oh! The owner of the bar dodges the hit in time and pushes my boss against the wall behind him. The man is face first, kept pushed against the wall. “If you don't leave right now, I'll call the police! Want to think again?” Warns seriously and firmly, Phil, frowning with anger. Though, I can tell he is struggling to keep his anger in him. I have rarely seen Phil this mad… Honestly, it’s scary. Suddenly, my boss makes a rough move backward, his bottle hitting Phil’s ribcage. Oh! I gasp as I saw Phil bending over. My boss turns around and tries to hit Phil in the face with the bottle. Well, he isn’t as drunk as I thought… Phil steps back in time before punching him in the face. I gasp in surprise. I never saw Phil fighting before. My boss lands flat on his belly, the bottle rolling on the sidewalk. Though, he comes back up, helping himself with the wall. I can’t just watch them fight like this… I can’t watch Phil getting hurt because of me… My boss grabs Phil by the collar and pulls him before pushing him against the wall. He still has a certain strength... Though, Phil instantly pushes him back. I can’t...
- “Stop it! Now!” I scream after rapidly stepping out of the bar. I come in between the two men and separate them, forgetting what my boss could actually do. I push the drunk man away from Phil, making him stumble backwards before he catches himself on a car. Meanwhile, I place my hands on Phil’s chest as I felt him going for him. Hell no…! Enough! “Phil. Ph... Phil!” I call the boy as he tries to walk past me to get to the man. He's not angry, he's raging. Though, when I called him, imploring for him to look down at me, he stopped. His eyes met mines and softness instantly drowned them. “Stop, please. Don't enter his game.” I plead him seriously as I weakly nod.
- “I'm not letting that pig talk about you or treat you that way!” He replies with anger, looking back with dark eyes at the drunk man standing behind me. Phil takes a step forward, but again, I stop him, getting before him as I keep my hands on his chest.
- “Phil, look at me. Look at me!” I tell him seriously as I bring one hand to his cheek. Why am I doing this? Why does this feel so… Normal and right? Just with my hand on his cheek, I can feel how much the anger is boiling inside of him. I force him to look down at me. “Calm down, please.” I demand him softly, our eyes connecting a second time. The man stares at me displeased for a moment before letting a sigh out. Please, don’t do it… I didn’t notice, but I’m actually running my thumb on his cheek, as if the hope of him to calm him down will be by this simple gesture.
- “Are you going to make out now? Because I'd rather live the show than to watch it.” Comments, my boss. Gross… Disgusting… Repulsive… I slowly turn around to face the man as I stay before Phil. He is smirking as he looks at my body up and down. I’ve never felt so bad and embarrassed before. Like… He hasn’t done anything to me, but just the way he looks at me makes me feel dirtied.
- “Well, I'm going to make it easy for you, sir. I'm done. I quit. I'll come pick up my stuff tomorrow even though it isn't much.” I tell him with seriousness while frowning madly. I have to end this. My boss stares at me with a frown, processing my words.
- “You can't quit! You're working for me!” He screams back at me, half chewing on his words. As if...
- “Yes, I can!” I scream back at him which surprises him. Yeah, he must not be used to someone replying to him or going against him... “And if that doesn't please you, it's still going to be the same. I'm done being mistreated by you and by most of your clients. And if you can't accept that, maybe the police can help you like the idea. I'm sure I have enough to say against you.” I tell him with a reminding tone, raising my voice lightly but not as loud as he talks to me and keeping that firm tone. I don’t know where this confidence comes from, but it feels… Powerful. Maybe because I know Phil is here and has my back? I don’t know… My boss stares at us two so madly before he looks away. “Oh, and by the way, you owe me at least 4.000$ of pay for all the extra hours I did. I better have them soon if you don't want this to go to justice.” I remind him seriously, pointing at him with my finger. I feel like a tea pot. Everything I've been wanting to say to him, I say them.
- “You were i'competent 'nyway. 'nable to do one thing righ'. I won't be losing much.” He replies at me with a mad tone, almost looking relieved that I’m quitting. I watch him dancing on his feet, almost tripping over his own feet.
- “Exactly, and you were bringing absolutely nothing to me so it looks like we're both winning. Me a little more.” I answer to the man, keeping my firm and mad tone against him. Without saying another word, my boss just scoffs before he turns around to leave. Oh… First time he actually backs down in front of someone… Anyway, he'll far away now. I turn around to look back at Phil, watching him holding his ribs. Oh… “Oh God, are you okay?” I demand him with a worried tone as I try to hide my guilt. It’s because of me if he is hurt...
- “Yeah... He wasn't as drunk as I thought.” Answers, Phil, looking down at me with a light frown. Though, it is not a mad frown or else, he seems more.... Worried or concerned. But relieved at the same time, weirdly… I frown sadly before I look down at his free hand.
- “Come with me.” I tell him gently while taking his hand in mine. “Let me help you” I tell him while helping him get inside. Well… I’m not sure he needs help but still, I just feel the need to help him. He literally saved me from my boss.
- "Thanks, Gorgeous”, he says as he lets me lead him back to the bar. I close the door behind Phil and let him take place on a chair. While sitting, I hear him groaning lightly before he clears his throat, as if he didn’t want me to hear him in pain. Right, I should get him some ice. I walk over to the counter and go behind it. So it should be… Here! “You even know where ice is.” He tells me with an impressed tone as he lets a small chuckle out. How does he know I looked for that? That chuckle… It’ll be my death.
- “I've watched you worked behind that bar countless times. It's not hard to guess where the stuff is.” I respond to the boy as I come back to him, holding a cloth with ice in it. “Let me…” I tell him while sitting across from him. I gently and lightly lift his shirt up just to see if it has bruised or not yet. It’s starting to get bruised... I let a guilty sigh out before pulling his shirt back down. I place the cloth over it and delicately press on it. Phil lightly winces because of the pain and the cold touching his skin as he looks away. “I'm sorry. I didn't…” I begin to apologize to the man as I avoid his eyes.
- “It's okay.” he interrupts me as I feel him looking at him. I know he is. “It's not your fault. And at least I know you won't see that dick anymore.” he says with a satisfied and relieved tone.
- “Honestly, it feels like I just threw an enormous weight off my shoulders. It feels good. Thanks to you.” I admit to the man I have been crushing on for so long as I let a small smile appear on my face. He smiles back while weakly nodding.
- “What are you going to do now?” He asks me with curiosity.
- “Look for another job.” I simply answer.
- “My offer is still on, you know?” He tells me with a reminding tone. Oh… I looked up in his eyes for the first time since I’ve been holding the cloth with the ice on his wound. His offer… Working here... “If you want to work here while you look somewhere else, I'll be glad to have you here. I know you still need to pay for your college so…” He says with his calm and deep voice. How can he be so calm so easily, especially after what just happened outside his bar? My smile grows before I actually softly laugh.
- “Your job sucks so much that you're desperate for a constant distraction?” I ask sarcastically, joking around. Phil smiles and softly laughs back to my comment.
- “What can I say, I'd like to have a beautiful woman working with me. Especially you.” he answers, which makes my cheeks burn instantly. You player… I bite my lower lip without controlling myself and look up in his eyes. They are burning with flames of… Of… Such a strong emotion… Feeling. God, I love him… And those eyes that he is giving me aren’t helping at all…
- “When can I start then?” I demand him, not really knowing how I managed to ask him this without mumbling or stuttering.
- “Monday?” he proposes to me. Huh?
- “Monday... In four days?” I ask him, frowning confused after thinking for a second.
- “You deserve a little break, Gorgeous, don't you think?” He tells me seriously and so gently. He’s just so sweet and caring… I mean, he clearly wants to show who the boss is here because it is his bar, but… His calm personality and the way he behaves most of the time just seem to hide his true self. I mean, Phil is Phil and his words are sometimes raw, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t think otherwise. I nod to the boy before looking down. I feel so nervous suddenly. My heart is racing like never before and I can’t take this idiotic smile off my face. What has he done to me, seriously? Suddenly, Phil gently pushes my hand and the ice from his chest and starts to get up. What…? Where is he going? What is he going to do?
- “Wait, I…” I suddenly say, grabbing his wrist. What just took me? Why did I…? I’m such a fool. And such a nervous wreck right now. I avoid his look, staring at the floor. “There's... Hum…” I have to tell him. I can’t back down anymore. I can’t flee my own feelings either anymore.
- “Are you nervous?” He asks me with a smirk while sitting back down on the chair across from me. Oh...
- “No, I... Yeah. I'm... I'm a nervous wreck right now actually. It's just... I…” I confessed to him, sounding as if I even struggle to breath now. God, I’m such an idiot, why am I stuttering like this in front of him?
- “Am I making you this nervous, Gorgeous?” He asks me in a whisper with his deep voice while slowly getting closer to my face. Oh… I don’t move as my eyes just fall on his lips. They look so soft. My breathing gets heavier instantly. I can’t look at him… I close my eyes as I breath heavily.
- “Actually... Yes…” I admit. After a few seconds, I opened my eyes again as Phil didn’t say a word. The boy has his eyes devouring my lips as the fire in them seems to have grown. “Phil, I…” I begin to whisper, trying to find the courage to say the words.
- “Phil, what? What do you want, Gorgeous?” He asks me with the same deep and calm whisper which makes me even more nervous.
- “Phil…” I whisper his name as I lock my eyes with his. They’re just so beautiful and he is just so close to me... Phil hums with his deep voice as he lightly wets his lips. Oh my… The man gets closer and closer so slowly until his forehead connects with mine. I close my eyes, enjoying how close we are right now. I can’t explain what I feel inside right now, but it’s a total mess. There are butterflies, fireworks… It’s a crazy feeling. Phil brings his hand to my cheek which feels so soft and so right. None of us move. None of us say a word. Nothing breaks this moment. I bring my hand over his, wanting him to hold me. Then, as the two of us are plunged in a deep silence, Phil suddenly pecks my lips. He… Kissed me. His lips are just so warm and soft and the kiss is so delicate. Simple but delicate. Phil pulls away from my lips and disconnects our foreheads. Though, he keeps a really, really small distance. Our eyes connect once more but none of us say a word. There’s no need. His eyes are talking for himself. He just wants to make sure I’m okay with this… I smile with happiness as I bring my hand to his neck and pull him back in for a kiss. What’s happening to me? I don’t know. I would have never done this before. I’m too shy for that. But it just feels so right, right now. Phil answers to my kiss instantly, giving the same softness and warmth than before. It’s more passionate though… The boy grabs my hands and pulls me closer to him as he rests completely on his chair. I let him guide me and sit on his lap, never breaking the kiss. Phil holds me, one hand in my back, the other on my thigh as the kiss becomes quickly heated. Suddenly, he pulls away from the kiss but only to go down my jaw and then my neck. I close my eyes and let my head lean to the side to give him more room. This feeling is just amazing! However, Phil suddenly stops kissing me, sounding just as breathless as I am.
- “Sorry, sorry... I just... We should stop before it's too... Heated. I told you, I don't want to make you do something you don't want to do now and…” He tells me out of breath and with seriousness. I look at him, noticing that he's really not playing. Especially because he stopped before going too far. This proves one more time that he really wants to try this relationship. I smile, feeling just so lucky at this moment.
- “I love you, too.” I whisper to the boy which made him look at me with surprise. He said it so many times to me but I’ve never said it back before. I never dare. I was so scared and so shy. I lean in and give him a new soft and warm kiss before taking him into my arms and letting my head in the crook of his neck. His scent is lovely. I can tell that Phil was surprised at first, but he didn’t put long to hug me back. Jessy’s brother holds me tightly, hiding his head in my neck as well, smelling my perfume. “I love you, Phil.” I whisper one more time.
- “If I knew I needed to fight with your crappy boss to hear you say it…” He says playfully which makes me softly laugh.
- “Well, actually, I was going to tell it to you tonight, anyway. I figured... I can't deny or lie about it anymore so... And I need to live my life as well, take it in my own hands... And you did prove that you want something serious with me so…” I respond to the man sincerely. I can feel my nervousness slowly fading away as I feel more and more comfortable with him. I mean, how could you not? I was starting to pull away from the hug when Phil stopped me. Oh… The man kisses my cheek delicately before kissing my lips one more time. I smile and look at him in the eyes. “Just don't break me, Phil…” I demand him, softly whispering.
- “Oh, I won't. Trust me, Gorgeous. I've been wanting you for a while now. I did lots of things to prove to you that I love you. Things I’ve never done before. The idea of me hurting you is painful. And I think that if I ever hurt you, I'll probably have all Duskwood after me.” He replies seriously to me before chuckling playfully. I chuckle back, amused.
- “Oh, I'm not sure I know that many people but... Yeah, most likely.” I answer jokingly, entering his game. The two of us laugh one more time. His smile is just so contagious. I give him one last kiss before standing up from his lap.
- “Where are you going?” He asks me, sounding disappointed that I got up from his lap.
- “The others are going to arrive soon. I don't really want them to see me taking you for a chair.” I respond with sarcasm to the man as I walk over to the bar to sit on a stool.
- “Well, I don't mind, Gorgeous. Having you sitting on my lap is kind of... Sexy.” he says with his deep voice, looking at me up and down with a smirk. I hum as I notice how hungry he actually looks. Oh boy, he’s been waiting, hasn’t he?
- “You're a naughty little devil, you know that?” I tell him while giggling.
- “Yep, but only for you, Gorgeous.” He replies with a charming tone. I place my hand over my heart before laughing.
- “Phil!” I call him through my laugh.
- “Yes, Gorgeous?” he calls me, using the same charming tone mixed with the deepness of his voice. I laugh again as my cheeks are burning. “So, are we together, MC?” He asks me more seriously.
- “Well, no.” I answer to the boy which makes him frown, confused and disappointed. “What? Don't look at me like that. Technically, we just had a... A... Very unexpected heated moment. But you never asked me out, did you?” I remind him playfully, winking at the boy. Phil laughs to my answer, understanding where I'm getting at.
- “MC, would you like to be my girlfriend?” He asks me with seriousness, yet, having the most beautiful and charming smile over his face.
- “I don't know. Give me a good reason to say “yes”.” I answer playfully. Without waiting, Phil stands up from the chair and lifts his shirt, showing me his abs. I laugh and blush while bitting my lower lip. "Definitely getting there", I tell him as I’m actually devouring his body with my eyes. Seriously, what has he done to me? Phil chuckles as he approaches me. One of his hands goes in my back while the other one passes softly in my hair, pushing it back before placing it on my cheek.
- “You're definitely going to make me a fool for you, Gorgeous.” he whispers softly and lovingly.
- “Not my plan.” I answer playfully while smiling happily. Phil smiles back to me before he slides his hand in my back, holding me against him tightly. I feel him kissing my neck again while he runs his hand in my back. I just feel so comfortable in his arms, so protected.
- “I love you.” He tells me sincerely and with love in his voice.
- “I love you.” I repeat his words with the same tone he used while literally melting in his embrace.
I was a fool for him. He was a fool for me. I was just too shy and he was another man. A lot has changed lately in my life, but this is the best thing I could dream of.

PIECK knew something was up whenever bertholdt said you weren't answering his texts and hadn't been showing up to work before you even went on vacation. she knew you were on vacation and that you were pissed with her, but even so you never ignored texts from bertholdt.
her suspicions only rose whenever porco and reiner told her the same thing, that you'd suddenly gone awol on the two of them out of nowhere.
they were confirmed when zeke came back into town and said the same thing.
she sits on her couch, shoulders shaking as she cries with porco's arms wrapped around her. reiner, bert, zeke, and annie, who reiner and bert brought for some reason, stare at her in complete worry.
you went awol just this sunday, telling each and everyone of them that you were going on vacation and wouldn't be in town for a little while. bertholdt hadn't seen you at work for almost three weeks now, two and a half of them after your sudden vacation.
"she can't be on vacation," pieck sobs, "she always answers your guys' texts. no matter what!"
"maybe she's just in a different country? she might just not be able to get reception," porco seems unsure as he says this.
"she can't be. she would've told me, pieck, or even bertholdt. god, she would've told all of us," zeke's head is in his hands while his teeth grind together.
"okay, so where would she be if she were still in paradis," annie speaks up while gesturing her arm in a circle.
"who fucking knows," reiner sighs, "when'd you last see her, babe?"
"at work before she stopped showing up. she said she was gonna get coffee at that one café she loves going to. other than that, she didn't say anything about plans or going out with anybody," bertholdt is laced with confusion and his arms are crossed.
"we got into a bad fight that night," pieck sniffles, "she left the house a few hours later, i just thought she was going to stay with one of you guys or yelena."
"what'd you even argue about?"
she grips at her hair with tears rushing down her face, "i can't even remember. it was probably so petty and stupid. the only thing i remember is her telling me that she hated me and me telling her that she was a fuck up."
"i'm so sorry, pieck," porco squeezes her shaky form tight to his chest.
"wait," zeke's standing up abruptly and pointing at bertholdt, "she went where?!"
"oh my god, she went to café scout!!! maybe the workers heard something," reiner perks up along with everyone else.
"holy shit, maybe that one girl is there!! she probably saw something," porco smiles.
"louise! she definitely knows (name)! she probably saw something! let's go," pieck jumps off of the couch and stumbles towards the front door of her house.
the rest of them follow after, all deciding that bertholdt's van, he's usually the designated driver, is the car they'll get into. they all yell at a fumbling bertholdt to hurry up and unlock the car as they stand at the car. he does so while screaming, jumping into the driver's seat and starting the ignition. reiner's jumping in the passenger seat and annie's in the first row of seats behind bert.
before porco can even close the door behind him, bertholdt is driving off towards the café. porco is screaming along with pieck as they're thrown around the van due to their lack of seatbelts and the both of them standing to sit in their seat. their screaming has everyone else screaming as bert speeds up the car despite the oncoming speed bump. bertholdt and reiner hit their heads against the roof of the car, a loud bang resonating throughout the vehicle. pieck and porco's back hit the roof as well, but luckily for pieck she lands on the first row of seats next to annie.
porco, unfortunately, lands on the floor. zeke would've laughed if it wasn't for his own head slamming against the carpeted roof of the van. annie holds onto pieck's arm whenever she's in a sitting position, screaming along with reiner for bertholdt to slow the car down as they see another speed bump.
he doesn't.
porco is once again thrown against the roof.
bertholdt is speeding, even as he gets onto the freeway with other cars. he's stressed out.
when they get there, they all wonder how the fuck bertholdt didn't even get pulled over and how the hell they even managed to survive. bertholdt cries out apologies as reiner and porco puke their guts out in the huge parking lot while annie gags and tries not to vomit at watching reiner and porco do it themselves. pieck is holding her hand and trying to cover her eyes while zeke manages to cover her ears and cringes at porco and reiner.
bertholdt's now sobbing at annie, profusely apologizing, even getting on all fours and begging for her forgiveness.
"how are you gonna get on your hands and knees for annie but not for your boyfriend," porco coughs before he spits out saliva to get rid of the taste in his mouth.
reiner follows behind him in a grimace, hand grabbing at his now emptied stomach and the other going to wipe at his mouth.
"dude, gross!! don't wipe it off with your hands!! pieck and bertholdt usually have tissues on hand," porco shouts to reiner, who drops his hand halfway.
pieck and zeke comfort the emetophobe annie all while bertholdt gives reiner and porco tissues and a breath mint. he gives them hand sanitizer as well, and throws a pack of peppermint frost gum at the two of them, clogging his nose up.
they scoff but oblige, both now looking somehow decent and also smelling it. pieck's calming down a shaking annie, who's buried herself in pieck's warm arms, and zeke stands to the side awkwardly.
porco and reiner rush to the order counter when they all step inside, ordering instead of asking the cashier for the employee they were looking for. annie, who's now calm, pushes them aside harshly.
"ignore them, is that girl louise working today? we need to talk to her," she asks and the poor cashier is terrified at annie's deadpan face.
"n-no!! sh-she should be at home!!"
"give me her address," annie starts to lean her front over the counter, almost pushing the poor girl into a heart attack.
she grabs a napkin and a pen, hurriedly scribbling down louise's address and running off into the back.
"we can get food on the way there," annie shrugs nonchalantly, "preferably wendy's or something."
————
bertholdt and pieck almost feel bad for the poor girl whenever she answers the door.
with annie's glare piercing into her and zeke's towering over her, they were sure she'd pissed herself.
"y-yes... what do you need," she digs her nails into the door.
pieck shoves them both aside and steps forward, louise lights up with recognition.
"don't worry, they aren't gonna hurt you," she waves her hand, completely ignoring how they both still glare at louise even over pieck's shoulder, "i just need to ask you something."
"what is it?"
"have you seen (name) lately? the girl who usually come in with me."
"last time i saw her was around a few weeks ago," louise shrugs, "wait, did she go missing?!"
"yea, we're trying to figure out where she was last on the night of her disappearance. did she say anything to you...? anything at all," pieck steps forward with a desperate hand on her heart.
"she said something about going drinking with two friends... something about them being blonde and short," she scratches at her temple, slight pout on her face, "that's all i can remember."
"did she say what bar," pieck steps closer again, putting her hand on the door frame.
louise shakes her head sadly, eyes dropping down to their feet.
with that, pieck broke into tears again and was led away by porco and annie. the rest of them followed behind, leaving louise inside her home.
"she has to be somewhere," pieck cries into her hands, "she has to be!!"
zeke's got a hand on his forehead while he loosely holds onto his glasses with his other hand. he lets out a choked out sob, and everyone turns to him.
"zeke... are you... crying?" reiner turns to look at zeke over his shoulder.
"fuck.. yea. it just doesn't make sense. she's gotta be somewhere," he rubs the bridge of his nose.
"maybe the guys louise mentioned know something...," bertholdt inserts as he looks in the rear view mirror.
the statement has pieck shouting at the meek boy, "we don't know what they look like!!! all we know is that one is blonde and one is short! we're at a dead end! we're fucking stuck!!!"
bertholdt visibly flinches in his seat while his throat clogs up, hands gripping at the steering wheel. his eyes are welling up with tears that he doesn't let out. reiner's hand is on his arm in comfort, eyebrows bunched up in concern.
pieck wails once more, "god, i'm so sorry bertl. this isn't your fault. you were trying to help."
he sniffles, "it's fine. i understand. we're all just upset and desperate to find (name)."
"we'll find her soon enough."
————
the loneliness is getting to your head.
you're in the secluded dark even during the day.
you just crave to be with someone, so much that you're getting desperate.
a tug at erwin's sleeve has him stopping and turning back to face you. you've got tears spilling over your cheeks and snot running into your mouth while you lean on an elbow to hold onto his sleeve for dear life.
it's not even nighttime, it's early afternoon. erwin had just come into the room to feed you lunch and to just leave after that. but you couldn't handle it anymore. being alone made everything dark and silent.
even if the lights and televisions were turned on.
"please," you beg and rest your forehead against his arm, "please don't leave me alone."
erwin's cheeks are lighting up while his eyes widen. his hand comes up to stroke the back of your head as it now rests on his hip. he doesn't mind the wet spot forming on his pants, this was the first time you ever initiated anything.
"i won't, darling. i need to go put the tray in the sink and let levi know i will be in here," he's taking a step away from you, jumping at your sudden loud sobs and tugging.
"no! no! please, i don't want to be alone," your eyes are squeezed shut while you grip onto his pants for dear life.
"but i need to go put these dishes away. after that, i can—"
"no!" you scream and push your head harder against his leg, "no! please don't leave! i don't want you to leave."
he sighs, putting the tray of empty dish onto your bedside table. he grabs the room key out of back pocket before he picks you up bridal style.
"you run, levi'll break your legs," his fingers dig into your skin, but loosen at the frantic nod you give.
he manages to unlock your bedroom door in a complicated way, which you don't feel like questioning, and strolls outside of the room.
he goes out of your quarters, it's the furthest you've ever been. you're in a large room that connects into other rooms, the amount of doors is slightly overwhelming to you even as you look at them.
to your shock, you pass by people. living people.
they all seem to be staff, and the only sort of acknowledgement you get from them is a wide eyed stare with a dropped jaw.
"levi is still in his study, correct," he asks while shifting his hold on you.
a girl with ginger hair and auburn eyes speaks up, "yes sir! he requested no one to enter."
erwin nods and walks past the girl, who gives you a small friendly wave whenever you look out from erwin's arm.
you turn your attention back to erwin whenever you hear the sound of a door opening and closing.
you're in a new room, which is assumed to be levi's study, that's lighted up by the cloudy and grey natural light that shines through the blinds and windows. there are bookshelves on both sides of the room and you notice that on both bookshelves the order of the books goes from largest to smallest. levi sits at a desk in the middle of the room, facing the door, as his hand holding a pen runs across the paper.
"what do you need," levi looks up for a brief moment, but snaps his head up once more.
"what's the brat doing here," he motions to you in erwin's arms.
erwin's sitting you on a leather couch in the office, wiping away some tears with his thumbs. he steps away from you and takes ahold of levi by the arm, essentially dragging him to the door of the study.
the dawning realization that they're going to leave you alone has you tripping over your feet as you run to the door. your hand grips onto levi's shirt and you tug him towards you, pulling him away from the door.
"i don't want to be alone," you cry while shoving your face into levi's chest, he cringes at your snot and tears soaking through his shirt.
"oh," he blinks, awkwardly rubbing your back with his hand, "why'd you bring her here?"
"because she wouldn't let me leave to put her tray away, which i now need you to do. i'm going to get in the bath with her, which you are welcome to join if you'd like."
"i don't like baths, sitting in your own filth," he scrunches his nose up.
"to each their own," erwin shrugs, giving levi a kiss on his temple and grabbing ahold of your hand.
"come along, darling," he smiles at how quickly you intertwine fingers with him and join his side.
he leads you into a different bathroom than the one that you use. there's not much of a difference besides it size, the tub's size, and the long counter built for two.
"undress for me, love," his giant hands are massaging your shoulders before he pulls away and walks over to the tub.
you look to the bathroom door, only to find a doorknob with a keypad, something you didn't notice when you walked in, and frown. you just sigh and slip off the the pastel pink nightgown you were wearing, the fabric pooling around your feet as it drops to the floor.
you look up into the mirror, and you almost want to cry. you look nothing like yourself. you barely had any life behind those (eye color) eyes and your eyebrows were now naturally furrowed in sadness. you've got fading bruises on one side of your body, trailing downwards all the way to your calf.
you decide to take off your panties before you let your thoughts roam, stepping out of them after they've dropped to the floor.
you hear the door open, to which you and erwin look to. only it's not levi.
it's a young boy with ebony black hair and emerald green eyes that stands at 5'10.
you instinctively cover yourself up and turn your back towards him, embarrassing washing over you in waves.
erwin scrambles to block the boys view, who is seemingly enjoying it, and furrows his bushy brows.
"who are you and what are you doing here? where is levi?!"
"levi sent me sir. he gave me clothing for the girl and then said you would be in here," his eyes try to take a peek over erwin's shoulder.
erwin snatches the clothing out of his hand and slams the door shut in the boy's face. he scoffs in annoyance while he puts the clothes onto the counter, now focusing his attention onto you.
"i'm sorry about that, dear. are you alright," he puts a hand on your back and guides you to his chest.
"i'm okay," you sniff, "just wanna get in the bath now."
he smiles a bit, leaving a sweet kiss on your forehead before he steps away. you watch him rid himself of his white button up and try not to let your eyes bulge out at his body. however, you can't exactly resist the urge whenever erwin is finally naked.
erwin's stomach has abs carved into it, a well groomed happy trail leading to his cock. the thighs in his muscles and back are almost screaming out at you whenever he turns and lifts his hand to ruffle his hair.
you look down to his feet, feeling ashamed for even staring for so long.
he gets into the bath after a moment, knees spread wide for you to sit between. his arms are resting on the rim of the tub while he sighs at the hot temperature. you get in, goosebumps running up and down your body as the heat invades your colder body. you settle in between his legs and lean back against his chest, closing your eyes.
his arms wrap around you, pulling you closer to him than you were before. you put a hand over his arm, silently giving him a message to keep his arms where they were.
his lips kiss at the crown of your head, and it seems sweet enough to where you think you might be able to smile. but you don't.
watching your eyes flutter, he mumbles into your hair, "the hot water make you tired?"
"yeah," you hum, "don't really like the hot outside of this. i prefer the cold."
"so does levi," erwin chuckles as he draws circles into your skin.
"does that mean you like summer?"
"no, i prefer fall or spring. both usually have the adequate temperature," he sighs.
"erwin," you ask after a few seconds, "why is levi so cold?"
"why are you only now asking?"
"i meant to ask sooner but i was never really... given the chance," you say bitterly.
"well, levi has been through a tough life. he almost went to jail before i met him. but it isn't my story to tell," he smiles at the memory.
you nod and finally let out a yawn, "i'm going to fall asleep soon."
from then, erwin washes the two of you so you both can get out of the bath. during this, you find out he's actually quite playful. he gathers up bubbly soap in his hands and blows them into your face, hearty laughs following immediately after.
he stands before you once you're out of the tub, wrapping a towel around his waist and one around your shoulders. you look up at him while he brushes your hair and puts on a few drops of lotion on your face.
you're trying to ignore the voice in the back of your head that maybe he really does care. because at the end of the day,
you still have a collar and chain on.

christmas with benefits
fem!reader x ‘hangman’ adam page
reader and 'Hangman' Adam Page made a deal a few years ago; that if they were single at Christmastime then they would hook up. Christmas with benefits is what they called it, but this year, it's a little different ...

You sit in your bed in your room back in your parents' house in Virginia. You've texted your best friend, the Hangman Adam Page, to come over since he's not that far away.
It's late, almost midnight on Christmas Eve going into Christmas Day. You sit in your Christmas pajamas as you wait. Your parents have gone to sleep so you just wait for the usual "I'm here" text from Adam so you can go open the front door for him.
This has been a thing every Christmas since yours and Adam's Ring of Honor days. Five years ago, five Christmases ago, both you and Adam agreed that if you were both single during the holidays then you'd casually just hook up. No strings attached, no feelings attached. Christmas with benefits is what Adam first called it, and you couldn't help but agree.
Every year, you'd either meet him at his childhood home, he'd meet you at your childhood home, or you'd meet at a motel.
You don't know how it even got to this point. Five years of hooking up on Christmas. Only one Christmas was missed because Adam was technically seeing a woman and didn't want to do the Christmas with benefits that year, which was fine with you.
The led lights that hang around your room are set to a light blue color and you play with the remote as you wait for your phone to go off.
Just before midnight, at 11:48, your phone starts ringing and Adam's contact pops up. You answer.
"Hey," you say. "Almost here?"
Adam says, "Just turned down your street. I hope you don't mind, and I wanted to give you a heads up, but I brought you a present. I don't know the next time we'll see each other so I wanted to make sure that you got it."
You smile and leave your room, walking downstairs. "Yeah, that's fine," you say. "I have something for you too."
It's been a while since you've seen Adam. He works with AEW and you work with WWE. Your schedules just don't allow you to see him except for a few times a year. Especially since you're NXT women's champion right now.
"Yay," Adam says. "I'll see you in a few."
You say your goodbyes and you wait at the door, watching for Adam's car.
This is something you've always looked forward to. It's something about being close to someone who cares for you and who you care for deeply. If it wasn't for the no feelings attached rule then you would have told him how you felt a long time ago.
Adam's car pulls up out from and you open the front door. The cool air hits you and you shiver a bit. You watch him get out of the car in his cowboy Christmas pajamas. He has a bag and a wrapped box.
Another part of your deal is that after the hookup then it's Christmas movies and snacks. Adam has snacks. That's what you assume is in the bag.
He walks up to your front door and smiles when he sees you. "Hi," he says. "I thought that maybe we can open presents before we, um, you know."
You smile and nod, moving aside so he can walk inside. You close and lock the door behind Adam as he walks upstairs to your bedroom. You closely follow him.
Adam sets the bag and the box down on your bed and you sit on the bed. You grab Adam's present off the bedside table under the lamp before you crisscross your legs and look up at him.
He sits in front of you, mirroring your position. He holds out his present and you take it. "Go ahead," he says. "I'm excited to see your reaction."
You giggle and begin to unwrap the gift. You open the box, which is actually kind of big.
Inside the box is an AEW merch shirt, one of the bandannas that Adam's worn during his entrances, and a necklace that you've wanted forever. It has your birthstone inside of a heart.
"Adam," you gasp. "I've been wanting this necklace forever."
He laughs and says, "I know. I figured it was time to buy it for you. Also, I dare you to wear the AEW shirt to work one day."
You laugh and say, "Stop trying to get me fired."
Adam helps you put the necklace on as he says, "Tony Khan already has told me he wants you on the roster so if Vince McMahon fires you then just come to AEW."
His fingers linger on the back of your neck by the necklace clasp a little longer than they probably should. You look back at Adam and say, "We'll see." You smile. "Anyway, it's time for your present. Open the little envelope after you open your gift."
You hold out the medium-sized box and Adam takes it. He unwraps it and opens the box.
Inside the box you gave Adam is a cowboy hat that has the AEW logo on it, one of your merch shirts, and a little silver bracelet with "cowboy shit", which is Adam's thing, and "ice queen", which is your thing, engraved on it.
You're known as NXT's resident "ice queen" because of your cold heart and rude personality. It's your gimmick. You love it, and it sounds kinda cool.
Adam smiles and opens the tiny envelope. You watch as his eyes widen and he says, "I know you didn't give me a yearlong pass to come to any WWE show."
"Of course I did," you say. "Front row, off-camera for the most part. I know we haven't seen much of each other because of conflicting schedules but maybe if you have some free time and are in the same area then you can use this pass to go in and out of the arena. It's completely free so you don't have to waste several hundred dollars just to see me for twenty minutes."
Adam's tried to come to WWE shows, but tickets were always sold out or not where he wanted them because it was always so last minute. You had the idea of the pass a few weeks ago, talked to management, and got it in time for Christmas.
He says, "You are literally the best person on this Earth."
You giggle and say, "That works for literally any WWE event. A Takeover, a regular NXT live show, or even Wrestlemania."
"Thank you, Y/N," Adam says, putting everything back in the box. "Seriously."
You do the same and say, "It's the least I can do. Maybe we'll see each other more than three or four times a year."
Adam looks at you and smiles. "I'll have to use that pass all the time," he says. "I need to see you more than three or four times a year."
You put your gift from Adam on your bedside table and say, "I agree."
He says, "So, about this Christmas with benefits thing."
"I wanted to talk to you about that," you admit.
While you waited for Adam, you decided to tell him how you feel. Screw the no feelings attached rule.
Adam looks at you confused and says, "Okay. What's on that pretty little mind of yours?"
Your face gets flustered a bit as you say, "We agreed that there would be no feelings attached and no strings attached, and we've done well at that for the past few years."
"But?" Adam asks. He knows what's about to happen.
Nervously, you say, "But recently I've been thinking of you as more than my best friend. I just want more out of this besides sex. You already treat me so well, and we've known each other for years, so I thought that maybe we could try to be more than just friends."
He stares at you as you talk. He can't believe this. You've been doing such a good job at hiding this that he had no idea, and he's not mad about it. He can finally tell you how he's been feeling about you.
In one swift movement, Adam cups your face and pulls you toward him. Your lips crash to Adam's and you gasp. You gasp softly but kiss him back.
The kiss lasts for a few moments before you pull back and ask, "What was that for? You've never kissed me except for when we're, you know."
Adam pushes your hair behind your ear as he says, "I thought that I could start kissing you when we're not having sex."
A smile forms on your lips and your face gets a little flustered. "I would, uh, like that," you stammer. "Can we still have our usual Christmas sex?"
He laughs and says, "That was never out of the equation, Y/N."
You giggle and lean in, kissing Adam again. He kisses you back and you crawl onto his lap, straddling his waist. Your hands slide into his curly hair and his hands slide up the back of your pajama top.
Sighs leave your lips when his hands touch your skin. You smile against his lips and push Adam onto his back.
Slowly, you begin to undress Adam underneath you. You kiss Adam's bare chest once his shirt is off. You do leave a couple of marks on his chest.
"The first chance you get, you mark me up," Adam says, looking down at you. You trail your fingers over the marks and down to the waistband of his Christmas pajama pants.
You look up at Adam with your eyes before you say, "You're mine now. I hope."
Nerves rise up within you as Adam says, "I am. I'm yours."
"Thank God," you sigh as Adam smiles.
You pull off Adam's pajama pants right before Adam rolls and lays on top of you.
He stares down at you and attacks your neck with kisses. You sigh and let out a soft moan. Adam's hands roam your body as he kisses your neck.
You pull off your top, leaving your upper body exposed. Adam's eyes are on your body and you bite your lip softly, watching him. After a moment, he leans down and presses kisses to your bare stomach. You sigh softly.
Adam hooks his fingers into your pajama pants waistband and pulls them off your body. He slips his fingers into your panties and runs his fingers through your folds. You gasp and your back arches off the bed.
After a few seconds of this, Adam pulls off your panties. You look down at Adam and find that he's looking up at you with his eyes. Your tongue swipes across your bottom lip as Adam slips a finger into you, moving it shallowly and slowly. You create a little 'O' with your mouth and a moan escapes.
"Baby, you have to be quiet," Adam reminds you. "Your parents are just down the hall."
You giggle and say, "Oops."
He laughs and speeds up his fingers as he begins to play with your clit with his tongue. "Adam," you sigh. "God, don't stop."
Adam smirks and adds a second finger. Your fingers are back in his curly blond hair. He edges you closer and closer to an orgasm. Your back arches off the bed a few times before Adam pins your hips to the mattress.
You feel your walls begin to clench around Adam's fingers, and he realizes this too. "You gonna come, baby?" he asks. You nod eagerly.
"Please," you whine, needing to release.
He nods and says, "Come for me."
So you do. All over Adam's fingers. You softly moan his name as you release. He sucks his fingers clean before coming up to your lips and kissing you. You moan into his mouth as you kiss him back.
While he's distracted with kissing you, you roll so you're straddling Adam's waist. Your lips are still on his.
Adam pulls back from the kiss and asks, "Where did this all of a sudden come from?"
"I wanted to try something new," you say, kissing Adam's jaw and neck. He sighs beneth you.
You slip your hand down to the bulge in his boxer shorts. You rub him gently and he makes a soft growl sound. "Y/N," he says with a soft moan. "Be nice."
In a split second, you decide to be a little tease. You grind down against his bulge and say, "You won't do anything."
He stares up at you as your finally pull off his boxers. You take his erect member and pump him a few times. You line him up with your entrance and he asks, "Are you still taking the pills?"
"I got an implant to make it easier on myself," you admit. "I kept forgetting to take the pills."
Adam laughs and you smile. Adam's laughs turn into soft sighs as you lower yourself onto him, his length slowly beginning to fill you. You throw your head back as you wait a second before you move. Your hands are on his chest to keep your balance as you begin to move.
Both of you let soft sighs leave your lips. Adam's thumb finds it's way to your clit as you move your hips. You moan softly as you move your hips faster. Adam's other hand is on your waist, helping you move.
He sits up a bit, propping himself up on one arm. His thumb is still rubbing your clit. You wrap your arms around his neck and your fingers are in his hair. His lips are on your collarbone.
His lips make their way up to your jaw. He says softly, "Keep going. You're making me feel so good."
Adam’s praises give you the confidence to move faster. His tip hits your g-spot and you gasp.
You lean down and kiss Adam softly as you move.
Your walls clench around Adam’s length. He moans into the kiss softly as you both reach an orgasm.
His name falls from your lips as you release around him and he releases his seed into you. You both fall into the bed beside each other.
The kissing doesn’t stop. You messily makeout with Adam as you both catch your breath. Your hands both roam each other’s bodies as your lips move messily against each other.
Adam is the first to pull away from the messy kiss. You look at him and he says, “So, we’re together now?”
“Take me out on a date first and we’ll see,” you tease.
He laughs and kisses you one more time before he pulls you into his arms. You bury your face into his neck and smile against his skin before dozing off a few moments later. Adam soon follows you and dozes off too.

i’ll sleep in your embrace at last
Tumblr media
AN: Yeah, I'm gonna write angst about this pair of characters that are pretty disliked by the fandom, what of it?
tw: Character Death, Mild Gore
Zoey leaned against Sam's shoulder, reading through the playbill and pointing out which cast members were familiar to her. Sam didn't really care too much, putting an arm around her instead and saying, "Yeah, and next time it'll be your name and face in there, and you'll be up on stage again, babe." It makes the girl turn to him with a smile. "And if that happens, I better see you in the audience." Sam kissed the top of her head. "Of course. Wouldn't miss your star moment for the world." Zoey blushed and set the playbill down. The announcement rung out, the show was about to start in five minutes.
Then all of a sudden, debris explodes everywhere as the meteor collides with the stage. The set is broken and split into large pieces, most of the floorboards of the stage flew off in splinters, dust from the ceiling floated about, shattered lights and broken glass littered the carpeted floors, the front rows of seats were also torn up from the floor. Even most of the theater’s exits were blocked by debris. Instead of the lively music of ABBA, cries of panic, fear, and pain resounded through the Starlight.
Zoey woke up to a sharp pain through her abdomen. The atmosphere was far too hazy from the dust and there was barely any light except from the bulbs that miraculously survived and the strange blue glow the meteor emitted from the stage. She tried to sit up but cried out instead as the pain intensified. That's when she saw it, a jagged piece of wood from either the stage or the set, jutted from her stomach. She screamed.
When Sam came to, he rubbed at his head. As he pulled his hand away, blood stained his fingertips. What the hell happened? He was about to get up and leave when he remembered where he was and what he was doing in this ruin. Wait. Where was Zoey? Then he heard an agonized scream in a familiar voice. Shit. He looked around and finally spotted her on the floor a couple feet away from him. His steps were staggered as he tried to make his way through the dark while avoiding debris everywhere.
Zoey felt hot tears running down her face. Oh god, she was gonna die. This was how she was gonna die. She's never felt more terrified. All around her, other people were also moaning in suffering, but what scared her even more was that there were those who were quiet because they would never wake up again. She knew they were there, when she turned her head to one side she saw people unconscious and unmoving, their chests no longer rising and falling. Others were merely limbs sticking out under the rubble. She knew what that meant. And she was so scared that her boyfriend might be one of them. Despite all the teasing and the horrible pick up lines, she still liked him a lot, and she thought that if they kept the relationship going, she might actually fall completely in love with him. Now, there wouldn't even be a chance.
Sam cursed as he finally got to Zoey. He knelt down and very carefully tried to pull her up without making her injury even worse. No matter how cautious he tried to be, she still cried even harder. Shit. He held her in his arms instead. "Zoey, I'm here, okay? I'm gonna go call the station for help and get you to a hospital. Fuck. Uh, let me just go find-"
"No!" Zoey stopped him, her hands clinging onto him tighter. Before, she was fine with him leaving her after they were done, but this was different from that. "D-don't leave m-me. I- I'm s-so scared a-and it hurts." She cried. "I-I'm going to d-die anyway r-right?"
"No, no, you won't." Sam shook his head. "But um, I won't leave you."
"B-but Sam, a-all those people..."
"Don't look at them. You won't be one of them. We're gonna get help to make sure you won't be one of them." He never could stop lying to her. Even if they got out, Zoey might give out anyway. When he looked down at her, she looked so frail and terrified and pained. It sunk in that she's too young and vulnerable to experience something like this. She's too young to have her flame snuffed out this soon.
"S-Sam? I- I don't t-think I'll last that long." She managed weakly. It might have been the meteor's glow, but her skin was looking paler and her fingertips looked bluer. Her hands also felt colder to the touch. "I g-guess I won't get t-to be on that s-stage anymore. B-but maybe for a last time I-I could..."
"Zoey..." He couldn't help but cry with her.
"You're here, that's all I need to know." She sang shakily. "And you will keep me safe. And you will keep me close..." Her body shook and she breathed her last. Her eyes fluttered shut and her body fell limp in Sam's arms.
Sam wiped at his own tears before he set Zoey's body down on the dusty ground. He wasn't even able to apologize to her about constantly lying to her. Maybe he should’ve listened to her back then, when she said it was better to not go to opening night since it was easier for her to snag tickets then. But he was the one who insisted.
More wailing came from those who were still alive but injured. Which meant none of them were in the clear yet. It took a bit of searching, but Sam eventually found his phone and called up the station. They answered that they were on the way and so were the emergency medical workers.
Suddenly the wailing stopped. Sam's brow furrowed in confusion. When he whirled around, the meteor seemed to glow even brighter. Then he heard a voice call his name. He turned towards the voice and shook his head. That was impossible.
Zoey pushed herself up off the ground and stepped towards Sam. Something was a bit off. Maybe it's the bluish light or his head injury, but Zoey's eyes looked more blue than green, and the piece of wood still stuck out of her abdomen. She smiled as she yanked the splinter out without so much as a wince, and neared him. "Sam, it doesn't hurt anymore. I'm okay now, like you said I would be."
Was this all some elaborate prank? An act? But why would Zoey do that? Sam stepped backwards and almost stumbled back onto an upturned row of seats. "But Zoey, that's not possible... You- you died."
Zoey giggled and launched herself at him, throwing her arms over his shoulders. "That's not important." She said in a sing-song voice. "I'm perfectly fine now, and I wanna thank you for staying with me." She ran her hands through his hair and looked into his eyes lovingly. "You don't need to worry about anything, babe. The apotheosis will be upon you too."
"The what-" Sam didn't get to finish when Zoey snapped his neck in one swift motion and left him to crash against the upended seats. His scalp bled onto the floor, still red. But not for much longer.
By the time the police and paramedics arrived, every performer, crew, theater staff, and audience member stepped out calmly, assuring the media that everything was fine and no one was hurt. Like a curtain call. How could they not buy it? Everyone was miraculously unharmed after all, no need to cause even more people to panic about their loved ones.
When Sam and Zoey stepped out, holding hands, the cops shared a look. They were so sure the voice they heard through the phone was panicked, but seeing them now, it was strange. Still, what else could they do but shrug it off?

Chapter Six (Jennifer Barkley x Reader)
Tumblr media
Previous Chapter
The entire day, nay week leading up to Jen's arrival was fraught with tension. Time went all too quickly, yet dragged simultaneously. By Friday you were brimming with so much unnecessary energy that your productivity at work was comparable to that of Leslie, who's determination was currently your source of frustration. Had she not been so resolute about giving Jen a 'personal Pawnee tour', than you would've reunited at 5 rather than 9.
Admittedly, it was also your fault for not calling out her lengthy lie, but those extra four hours you had to suffer through were compensation enough.
In an attempt to pass the extra time, you tried to stay at work for longer, but Fridays were your half day and Ron demanded that you go home immediately, lest you do any extra government work. Reluctant to return to an empty house, you'd asked around if anyone wanted to hang out, and were met with a series of rejections.
Except for Ann, who upon being enlightened about the situation, insisted she help you get ready for your date (initially you refuted the title of 'date', but by the second hour of your evening it became tolerated). Her company, though unexpected, was more than welcomed. Having someone to share your excitement with made the increasing tension almost fun.
"Y/N?" Ann waved her hand in your line of vision, catching your attention. "We going in, or just spending the night in the car?"
"Don't tempt me." You muttered, grudgingly dragged out of your thoughts.
In front of you the queue to the The Snakehole Lounge was gradually growing. The sheer amount of people gathered outside was intimidating, so you dreaded to imagine how packed it'd be inside. Staying at home would've been preferable, but it seemed that time alone with Jennifer was not a luxury presently granted to you.
"Come on." Ann nudged you with her elbow. "You've been going on about this all day and now you're going to wuss out?"
You twisted round to face her, illuminated by the flickering multi-coloured lights beaming out the club's windows. She was watching you closely, trying to gauge how you felt based off expression alone. Despite all that was rushing through your mind, you were at a loss for words. How could you even begin to convey what you were currently feeling?
"Stop overthinking it." She said. "There's no way of knowing what'll happen when you see Jennifer again, but only you can change that, so just roll with it."
You paused to consider her suggestion, coming to the conclusion that she was more observant than you gave her credit for.
"You're right." You admitted, grateful that she'd knocked some sense into you. "Thanks." Awkwardly, you leant across the centre console to hug her. You didn't know Ann all too well, but needed some way of showing gratitude for her sensibility.
"This is nice." She relaxed into the embrace, then unwound an arm to glance at her watch. "But we're five minutes late so I'm pretty sure Leslie will be sending out a search party soon."
You chuckled, separating from Ann to glance at the building once more. Jen was somewhere inside waiting for you. She'd voluntarily returned to Pawnee, and to one of its less than fine establishments of all places, just because she wanted to see you again. The very notion had your heart racing.
"I'm ready."
---
The atmosphere of the club was as intense and unruly as expected. By the time you'd adjusted to the blinding lights and deafening music, Ann had already slipped away, replaced by Tom.
"Welcome this evening's esteemed VIP." He thrusted a disturbingly bright neon beverage into your hand. "Drink up."
"What is it?"
"Sweetums Fizz. My go-to drink for when I'm tryna get lucky." He winked. "But if it doesn't work out, feel free to give her my number."
Coming from Tom, that was the closest you would get to his blessings. So, unenthusiastically you took a sip of the dreadfully sweet drink , screwing up your face as you forced it down. Trying your best not to grimace at the taste, you smiled at him in thanks before he dispersed into the mass of people.
Next to approach was Leslie, who engulfed you in a crushing hug while spewing unintelligible nonsense about her trip. Usually her overly affectionate manner was too much, but this time you pulled her closer. If all went well tonight than you would be forever indebted to her.
Removing yourself from her grip, you interrupted her endless talk. "As much as I'd love to hear about Washington," You yelled over the obnoxiously loud music playing. "I can't hear a word your saying."
"Right." She nodded. "Wrong time, wrong place." There was a pause as the both of you were happy enjoying each others company. Since Jen's exit, Leslie had been so supportive and you'd missed her while she'd been gone.
Although, now wasn't the time for acknowledgements. "Have you seen Jen anywhere?"
"Oh, yeah." Leslie swivelled around and gestured in a general direction. "I think she said something about staying near the fire escape. Said this entire building was probably a hazard."
"That sounds like her." You grinned, spotting the green glowing fire exit sign. "Wish me luck."
"You don't need it." She patted your back, smiling reassuringly as you shuffled past.
Navigating through the crowd while keeping an eye on your target was a challenge. Several people bumped into you, their drink nearly spilling as they pushed past without an apology. However, nothing else mattered as you drew closer to the sign. Nothing else mattered except finding Jen.
Only she wasn't there.
As you struggled through the final row of people, you were met with yet another group of strangers. You sighed, absentmindedly swirling your glass as you resigned to return to Leslie. You then raised it to drink while turning round, though the necessary libation never reached your lips as you collided with someone.
The casualty gasped, stepping back as the cocktail spilled down the front of their dress.
"Shit." You froze, surveying the damage. "I'm so sorry-" You finally glanced up to face the woman and apologise again, but halted upon realisation.
Of course it was Jennifer. You just couldn't catch a break.
"I was going to surprise you, but looks like you got there first." She joked, scanning the vicinity for any kind of napkin. You joined the search, eventually spotting a couple abandoned on a table.
"Again, I am so sorry." You repeated, watching as she scrubbed at the stain. The attempt was futile as it didn't take long for the paper to be completely soaked through, and with little improvement to her dress. "Come on." You grabbed hold of her hand as she discarded the napkins, eager to try and improve this disaster of an event.
You maneuverer through the club with much difficulty while dragging Jennifer, who had an iron grip on your hand. Invigorated by the embarrassment, you arrived at the bathroom a mere minute later, all but shoving her inside one of the cubicles. Under the blaringly bright lighting you could assess the damage in greater detail.
"You know what?" She casually leant against the wall, waving her finger around. "I'm having some serious Deja-vu right now." You looked at her questioningly, pleased to see she didn't look too upset with the state of her dress. "Us together in a public restroom, you staring at my chest..."
You scoffed, reaching past her to grab the toilet paper. "Don't flatter yourself." You wrapped several layers around your hand, creating a makeshift towel. "Completely different circumstances."
"Same outcome though?" She raised an eyebrow suggestively, taking the bundle of paper from you.
"We'll just have to wait and see."
"I think you owe me." She scrunched up her face. "Or is throwing your drink over someone a traditional Pawnee welcome? Because that would explain the mess back there. Pretty sure every surface was sticky."
"Maybe you should wear one of those plastic ponchos next time." You muttered, nervously fidgeting with your hands.
The familiar anxiety from earlier seemed to have reappeared, you were unable to drag your eyes away from where they were fixated . Under the sobering bathroom light, everything had suddenly become very real. It had been years since you'd pursued any kind of serious relationship, and Jen was hardly the easiest person to start with. You tried to think about what Ann would say if she were here.
Probably something astute like "All the best things in life are worth fighting for." Too cheesy.
It'd be more "Nothing good comes out of running away from what you want, even if it's hard." Not inspirational enough.
Possibly "With great effort comes great gain." Nope. You'd definitely plagiarised that one from somewhere.
Maybe she'd-
"Y/N?" Jen ducked into your line of vision, bringing you back to reality. "Lost you there for a second." She smiled cautiously, resting a hand against your arm as if tethering you to the present.
"Sorry. I was thinking about something a friend said." You admitted sheepishly, placing your hand atop of hers. "Or would say if she were here."
"Oh yeah?" She carelessly threw the wad of paper behind, her full attention now on you. "And what would she say?"
You'd finally settled on what Ann would suggest. She'd say "Kiss her, idiot."
And you did.

The Theater | Miguel Galindo x Reader*
Warnings: Language, Cheating, Dom/Sub Tones, a Dash of Daddy Kink, and Some Steamy Forbidden Lovin' in a Public Place
Note: I haven't posted anything smutty on here since the Tumblr Apocalypse of 2018, so I tried to keep this light, but... it sort of got away from me.
Thank you for reading! 🥰
Tumblr media
"Can I help you?" The guy behind the glass, all shaggy hair and unshaven jaw, barely looks up from his book.
"One ticket to the one o'clock showing of The Way We Were, please."
"Twelve dollars."
You slide your card through the window and wait for the ticket to pop up from the slot.
"Enjoy the show," he says, his eyes never leaving his page.
As you replace your wallet in your bag, you remember the reason you're here. The image of your secret lover flashes behind your eyes, dark and dangerous and brooding. Your fingers wrap around the door and your heart skips a beat when you think of him waiting for you.
The salty smell of popcorn washes over you when you reach the lobby, the buttery scent teasing your nostrils. Though it's likely stale, you stop and order a bucket. You don't want to look too eager so you linger by the register, smiling at the cashier as they scoop, grateful for the distraction from the silence.
Snack in hand, your feet drag along the old, worn carpet, the billowy fabric of your sundress kicking up around your ankles as you climb the theater stairs.
He was right--aside from the braided mercenary who nods at you as he passes by, there's no one else around.
A ghost of a smile crosses his lips as you reach the top and find him in the center of the back row.
"You bought popcorn?" Miguel shakes his head, sliding over and raising his arm to make room. He knows you like to nuzzle in as close as possible, even when there's no one else around.
Especially when there's no one else around.
Because Miguel may be your man, but he's also Emily Galindo's husband.
"It smelled good and I couldn't resist. You know, I never saw this movie," you say, fighting the shiver that was working up your spine by talking too much. "Is it any good?"
"It doesn't matter, querida." His voice dips low, taking on that raspy tone that makes your stomach twist and pull with need. "You won't be watching it today, either."
"I won't? But isn't that why we're here?"
Your playful smirk is rewarded with the patented Galindo glare, the look that promises he's not teasing and makes your panties ridiculously wet.
"If you wanted to watch the movie, you shouldn't have shown up looking like this." His finger trails along the soft swell of cleavage peeking over the neckline of your ivory sundress.
"Looking like what, exactly?" The urge to smile is strong, but you manage to suppress it.
"Looking like some kind of goddess created just for me." His lips find your ear, teeth grazing the soft lobe, and you have to bite back a sigh. "Get over here, princesa."
As you meet his amber gaze, tendrils of longing unfurl in your chest. It's been too long since you've been alone with him, thanks to Emily's sudden suspicions, and you're desperate to make up for lost time.
He laces his fingers through yours, waiting patiently for you to climb over him and settle yourself onto his lap. Though he's calm and unruffled as always, a little thrill shoots through you when remember that you're technically in public.
Your hips roll against him just once and he sighs, squeezing your hands before releasing them to wrap around your waist. He's hard already, and probably has been since he first laid eyes on you.
As you wait for his next command, your first instinct is to lower your gaze, your eyes skimming over his exquisite bespoke charcoal suit. It's a little much for the movies, but that's Miguel.
When his palm slides up your neck, fingers resting at your throat, he tips your face up towards his. And when his lips finally touch yours, it's like lighting a match.
Flames ignite between you and your tongues tangle, teeth clashing messily as the passion begins to consume you. His beard abrades your delicate skin, but you can't get enough. It's always like this when you're together--chaotic and uninhibited, until he gathers enough strength to take control.
"Mmm. I missed the taste of you," he admits as you grind against him.
"I missed the taste of you, too, Daddy," you whisper, loving the warmth of his body. You're embarrassingly wet, soaked through your panties and probably his pants, too. "I feel like I'm in high school again, making out in the back of a movie theater."
"I'll bet you drove the boys crazy in high school, didn't you?" His smile is lopsided, uncharacteristically soft. "Did you tease them like you're teasing me? Rubbing your sweet little pussy against them and ruining their pants?"
"Maybe," you breathe, unsure what he wants you to say. Miguel may be married, but he's extremely possessive of you.
"Show me how you teased them, princesa. Roll those hips for me."
His teeth graze your collarbone as he palms your chest, and you slowly rock against him. His hard cock is notched between your thighs, and you can feel every ridge through the light fabric separating you.
"Fuck, baby," he grunts, shifting so you lean further back for him.
Your fingers find his buckle, opening it with practiced ease, and you slowly roll down his zipper. When you try to wrap your fingers around him, he swells against your palm.
"I want to ride you, Daddy. Please?"
His eyes darken a full shade as he considers your request. It's a lot for him to relinquish control, but he wants it this time, too. Plus your options are fairly limited in the small, cramped theater.
"Turn around," he husks, pulling himself out the rest of the way as you turn to face the screen. "And take off those filthy panties."
Your fingers hook into the lace, sliding them down your legs and over your ankles. You're about to tuck them into your purse, but he stops you.
"Ooh, you bad little girl. These are fucking soaked." One hand squeezes your breast and the other twirls your underwear around his fingers. You're not even surprised when he stuffs them in your mouth. "Can you taste yourself on the silk?"
You whimper softly in response.
Impatient hands ruck the hem of your sundress up around your waist, and you grip him tight in your fist. He's hot and silky, smooth against your palm, and you can't wait to feel him inside you.
You're not sure what's happening on the screen, but it's quiet--too quiet to be careless. Your vision blurs as you guide him to your entrance.
Slowly, you sink down on him, the panties between your teeth muffling your moans. Miguel bites down on your shoulder to stifle his own sounds of pleasure as you lean back against his chest.
The air conditioning is on full-blast but it always feels like it's 90 degrees whenever Miguel is nearby, and with him inside you like this, it feels like an inferno.
You do your best to ride him slow, trying not to make it obvious if someone were to walk back and find you, but desperation overtakes your senses.
Miguel's gripping your thighs, thrusting upwards to hit you where you need to feel him, and the first ripples of an orgasm begin to spread through you.
You're thankful for the panties smothering your cries when he leans back to change the angle and you suddenly see stars.
"That's my girl," he whispers, urging you on. "I feel you getting close. Go ahead and let go for me, querida. I want it all."
His hand slips beneath your dress to find your clit, rubbing slowly as he plunges even deeper than before. Your senses all blend together as you fall apart for the man you love, bathing his cock in your hot release.
Miguel groans behind you, letting loose a stream of filthy Spanish words as his hips still. He fills you up with everything he has just as you hear the metallic slam of a heavy theater door.
You spit out the panties and he helps you slide from his lap, draping your dress to cover your nudity as he tucks himself back in his pants.
Your walls are still clenching as your dress hits your ankles, Miguel's release sliding down your inner thigh.
When no one appears at the front of the theater after a tense moment, you relax and lean into him.
"Are you okay?" You can feel his heartbeat racing alongside yours, but you nod.
You're more than okay, blissed out from his deep strokes and incredible body.
He cups your jaw, his face serious.
"This is the last time it goes down like this, okay? I need more of you than stolen moments in the shadows. I want to make love to you in a bed, to scream your name when I come inside you. Tonight, I'm telling Emily that our marriage is over."
His thumb brushes over your bottom lip, and you force a smile. You've never let yourself hope for more than this, so you have a hard time believing his promises.
If all you ever get with Miguel is the occasional secret rendezvous, you're okay with that. You'll take whatever he can give you.
Still, there's something different about the way he looks at you now as you settle in against his chest.
Something that tells you that maybe you'll get more of Miguel after all.
You smile to yourself and reach for your popcorn, content with whatever may come your way.

The End.

You And I
Pairing: Sweet Pea x Reader
Words: 3000ish
Warnings: Mentions of alcoholism, implies smut
Summary: It’s been 6 years since Y/N left town, 6 years since she broke Sweet Pea’s heart and they’re about to come face to face once again. Will she be able to win him back?
Notes: A request by @sleepingintheconstellations based on the song You and I by Lady Gaga, I hope I did it justice!

You ride into town the same way you left, alone on a motorcycle and a serpent jacket on your back.
Jaw clenched, fists tight, you ignore the feelings bubbling at the pit of your stomach.
You pass the welcoming sign, 'Riverdale the town with prep!' and scoffs at the thought.
There's no turning back now.
The bike slows naturally until it's stopped at the road side. You tells yourself it's just to think, a brief pause in your journey and not because you're so nervous your heartbeat is almost as loud as the engine.
You think about heading to the trailer park, but you aren't sure if the others even live there anymore. You wonder about the White Wyrm and the kind of greeting you'd get if you just walked through the doors. You eventually decide on heading to Pop's Chocklit Shoppe, the diner always being a safe haven amongst the chaos of the town and the idea of a strawberry milkshake helps cement your decision.
You roll into the car park with a lump in your throat and a weird sense of nostalgia. You’re surprised to see nothings changed, it’s oddly comforting and terrifying at the same time.
You inhale sharply, push back your shoulders and walk inside. Pop Tate’s smile is wide as he greets you and tells you he’s glad to see you back in town. Your walls start to come down at his familiar face but then he points to a booth a few rows back and suddenly your knees feel weak.
You can make out the flash of pink hair that she still hasn’t changed and his laugh is just as warm as ever as it fills the restaurant. Your first few steps are shaky but as you draw closer you gain more confidence, enough to slide into the booth next to a confused Toni Topaz with a smirk on your face.
“Hey strangers.” Fangs drops the fry that’s half way to his mouth, jaw hanging open while Toni looks like she doesn’t know whether to hug you or kick you off the seat. “Did you miss me?”
-
You stare at your cold burger, a meal you had craved so many times while you were half way across the world and now you had it, it sat barely touched. You’d started to drowned the pair out, they couldn’t stop talking yet they avoided the one thing you wanted to hear about most.
Once they’d gotten over their initial shock and Toni had thankful chosen to embrace you rather than push you away, they’d dove into all the things you’d missed while you’d been away.
You try to wait it out, wondering how long it would be before the bell above the door rings and it’s him walking through.
Because he must be coming.
Where ever Fangs and Toni were, Sweet Pea always followed. You hadn’t been in Riverdale for six years but if you were to pick one thing that hadn’t changed, it would be that fact.
But one hour turns into two and there’s only so much of listening about Serpent business and Cheryl Blossom you take before you get impatient and crack.
"So where is he?" You don’t need to say his name for them to instantly know who you’re talking about.
"Pea? Probably at the Wyrm." Toni shrugs like it’s obvious, and you knew you should have guessed.
"I see he still spends all his time drinking beer and playing pool." You roll your eyes, but there’s a lingering glint at the mention of your old hang out.
"You haven't heard?" Fangs shares a look with Toni before deciding to go ahead. “He owns it now."
Hands balled up into fists, your right foot bounces up and down while your mind races with endless possibilities.
Would he be as welcoming as Toni and Fangs? Doubtful.
Would he throw you out without a second thought? Possibly.
Thankfully when you'd eventually reached the bar the car park was more deserted than you'd anticipated but that hadn't stopped you from keeping your head low. You didn't need anyone recognising you. Not yet.
You stared at the old battered door, another thing that hadn't changed , and your stomach did somersaults.
You thought about just driving away, he would never even know, but that's not what you'd come here for.
You count to three, brace yourself whatever's about to come and walk inside.
The smell of alcohol hits you instantly and you recognise the faces of the stragglers hunched at the bar but their too drunk to even notice you.
You find him in the corner, back to you as he wipes over a table but he immediately senses your presence, his head lifting as the door swings closed behind you.
"We're closed!" He calls out but the sight of him steals all air from your lungs and it takes you a minute to recover.
"Even for me?" He recognised your voice instantly and the glass he's holding drops to the table with a thud.
He turns to you at an agonisingly slow place, like he doesn't want to see if you're really there and it makes your heart hurt. When his eyes finally reach yours they're full of shock until it dissolves into coldness. "Especially for you."
"That's harsh Pea." You're half joking, half serious but he just flinches when he hears his name fall from your lips. "You aren't even going to say hi?"
"Why are you here Y/N?" He stares dead at you, almost as if he's looking straight through you and it leaves you feeling unnerved.
"I thought we could talk." You offer, wringing your hands. Your voice is so fragile you're afraid it might crack, you'd never felt so vulnerable.
"I have nothing to say to you." He crosses his arms across his chest like an over grown defiant child and if it wasn't for the current situation you might have laughed at his stubbornness.
You hadn't expected this to be easy but he was making it unbelievable difficult.
"Then maybe we don't have to talk." Your voice drops a level as you revert to defence mode. You narrow your eyes at him, remember how this worked when ever he got mad at you before. "Remember that one time we closed down in this exact booth."
But that was six years ago and Sweet Pea wasn't in the mood for games tonight.
He lets out a deep sigh. It's loud and annoyed, and you realise he's quickly losing his patience. "No."
"I think you're lying." You tiptoe slowly around him, fingertips dancing along his shoulders and the back of his neck. "Maybe you need reminding-"
He grips your arm cutting you off, hand tight around your wrist and you swallow down the thick tension. You see a quick flash of temptation in his eyes but it's gone just as fast and they turn back to black.
He's pulling you towards the door before you can say anything else but you don't even bother to put up a fight. "You need to leave."
You stumble back into the darkness without another word, cheeks burning red as he slams the door shut behind you, the sound of the lock turning echoing throughout the car park.
"Well that went well." You mumble to yourself, kicking an empty beer can before finding your way back to your bike.
-
You stare up at the diner front from where you're sat on your bike. The giant neon 'P' flickers on and off now and then but your mind is too far away to even notice.
Toni had let you stay with her and Cheryl for the night and where you'd been thankful, you'd slipped out early without a single goodbye.
You'd need coffee to keep you awake but it had long gone cold as you watched the sun rise, the sky illuminated in oranges and yellows. You knew you should have already left but there was something calming about the quietness of Pop's at this time of day that kept you there.
Ever the night owl, Jughead Jones had passed by with a smile, happy to see you and you were grateful that he still hated small talk just as much as you when he disappeared inside minutes later leaving you alone once more with you lingering thoughts.
"So that's that then?" Toni's voice makes you jump, and you turn to find her frowning in disappointment.
"There's nothing here for me anymore T." You shrug your shoulders, obviously deflated at the thought. "I shouldn't have come back."
"I don't know how you expected him to react." Her eyes narrow as she gets straight to the point. You'd told her about your encounter with Sweet Pea the night before but you hadn't expected her to be so blunt when talking about it.
You look down in silence, fiddling with the zip on your leather jacket. "Guess I was just trying to be hopeful."
"So what now? You disappear for another six years?" Her blatant honestly catches you off guard, the harshness in her tone throwing you off. "How long are you going to keep running for?"
"What else am I suppose to do?" Your voice sounds louder in the vacant car park, more desperate as you throw your hands up in despair. You can feel your eyes start to prickle with tears and you bite down hard on your tongue. You weren't about to cry, not here, not now. Even if you were quickly losing all hope.
"Stay?" She suggests, as if the answer is so simple. "Show him you're serious about this."
Your heart rate quickens at the thought, and Toni watches you consider it. But she knows better than to push you into something and retreats, softening her take on tough love. "Fangs and I have a ‪Friday night‬ tradition of getting wasted at the Wyrm. There's still some of your old stuff at Thistle House if you wanted to join us. It's your choice."
She gives you one last look, a small sympathetic smile on her lips as she turns to leave without another word.
There's no need to say goodbye, she knows she'll see you later tonight. At least she hopes so anyway.
He senses your presence the minute you walk into the bar, the same way he had the night before.
Even after all this time, he's still drawn to you like a magnet and it terrifies him.
The first thing he noticed are the red fishnets. They ride high up your thighs, disappearing underneath your shorts before they appear again on your hips.
He remembers you owning an exact pair that he'd playfully ripped apart with his bare hands and briefly thinks about what it would be like to do it again.
He blinks away the thoughts.
You stride over to Toni and Fangs sat in their usual booth, your booth, without looking at anyone else, not even him, but plenty of people stare at you.
And it infuriates him.
He watches you for the rest of the night, high heels dangling over the edge of the seat, never once coming to the bar yourself, never giving him an ounce of attention.
He feels the corners of his lips automatically pulling up into a smile every time he hears your laugh and it makes him want to kick himself for being so stupid.
He watches you until you’re no longer there, disappearing while he’s too distracted to notice where you’ve gone and he tells himself he’s relieved but he can’t shake the disappointment manifesting deep down.
He doesn't see you again until he's kicked everyone out and the doors been locked. He's about to turn the lights off and call it a night when he catches a glimpse of red. His body tenses, ready to defend himself from whoever is lurking in the corner until he realises it's you and he's even more panicked than before.
“You shouldn’t be in here.” He lets go of a long, shaky breath. His voice is flat and you feel your hands go numb.
“I thought maybe you’d got sick of staring and wanted to talk?” You step into the light, drawing closer to him. He feels a flicker of anger, of course you had noticed. He doesn't know if he's more annoyed at himself for still showing interest or you for using it against him.
“I still have nothing to say to you.” He swallows. You're too close now. So close he can smell your perfume and it makes him want to forget why he's even mad at you in the first place. But his memory quickly reminds him of the heart break and he takes a step back.
“That’s fine, I have to plenty to say.” There's a hopeful smile on your lips but it falters as he stares back emotionless.
“I’m not exactly in a listening mood.” He turns away, eager for you to leave, for this situation to be over but you're not ready to give up yet.
“How about a bet?” You suggest, pointing towards the table behind him. "One game of pool. You win, I leave and I never come back.”
“And if you win?” He quirks an eyebrow at your suggested, slightly baffled at the idea.
“You hear me out, even if it’s just for five minutes.” You wait for his answer, heart slamming against your chest.
His eyes dart between you and pool cue leaning against the wall. There's a smug, annoyed part of him that knows he could win this easily and have you out of his life in minutes, but there's also a part of him that what's to let you win just to spend a little longer with you. "Deal.”
He doesn't know how he wants to play it yet.
“I win!” You drop the cue in triumphant, spinning around in some sort of victory dance before turning to face him and clearing your throat in embarrassment.
He huffs, trying to hid a smile. "You have five minutes.”
He watches your face fall and he notices how tired you look. "I hate that you’re so mad at me.”
“You have no idea.” He lets out a small laugh, it's humourless and empty but he can't help it. Your eyes meet his and you regret it the minute you see something broken hidden behind them
“I really am sorry.” The knot in your stomach tightens, you feel pathetic at your own words but you had nothing else to offer him.
“You think that fixes it? You just left without even telling me!” His voice is louder now, harsher than before. The rage in his eyes makes you flinch, years of pent up feelings spewing out. "I had to find out from Fangs!”
“I wanted to go travel, get out of town for a while.” You don't know why you said it, it sounds stupid even to you.
“It’s been six years Y/N!” He's livid with you, that you put the two of you in this situation, that you destroyed the relationship. He stares at you, the girl he once loved with everything he had, with so much confusion, so much pain that he automatically brings you to tears. "You didn’t even say goodbye!”
“Because it would have been too hard!” You scream at him with everything you have, the truth finally coming out. Sweet Pea would never leave Riverdale, you never would have stayed. Two people who had meant the world to each other but were destined for conflicting paths.
You couldn't bring yourself to say goodbye to him so you didn't. It was as simple as that. Only six years later the brown eyed serpent still plagued your thoughts and you knew you had to come home.
That you had to try and win him back.
You wait for him to reply but he says nothing, just stares again like he's looking straight into your soul. And then somethings clicks, and he moves so fast you don't have time to react.
His lips are warm, familiar but the impact of his mouth on yours knocks you off guard and leaves your lungs feeling empty of breath.
Once your lips meet it’s like he can’t get enough. He has one hand on the nape of your neck, the other gripping onto your hip pushing you back until your legs brush up against the pool table.
And as he lifts you up, tugging your legs around his waist you can’t help the moan that escapes. You grip fist fulls of his shirt, pulling him into you until he can’t get any closer but you arch your back anyway.
You can feel yourself coming apart underneath him, his face buried in your neck. He mumbles something you can’t make out before his tongue trails along your collarbone and your hands quickly find the hem of his shirt so you can scratch bare skin.
“I can’t stop thinking about you- and I hate it.” But there’s something lingering in his voice that tells you actually he doesn’t hate it at all.
“Sweets...” His name is more of a sigh than a word, you’re almost breathless, chest raising harshly up and down. “Less talking.”
He doesn’t need to be told twice, his hand twisting in your hair so he can tilt your head back and attack your neck again.
He watches you carefully as button your shorts up, pulling his own shirt over his head. "Are you gonna leave again?”
“Not unless you tell me too.” You answer honestly.
“I don’t think I could go through it again.” His head dips from where he's still sat on the pool table, his bare legs swinging slightly as he plays with his hands.
“Does this mean you forgive me?” You cover his fingers with your own, holding on tight like you're scared he might disappear.
He thinks his answer over, rubbing circles on your skin with his thumb. "It means I’m willing to try.”
And that’s all you need to hear for your lips to find his again.

E L E V E N - Only the Beginning
* - * - * - * - * - * - * - * - * - * - * - *
It was like Y/N couldn't breath as pure panic creeped up on her, the realization that her cousin was missing squeezing her lungs so tight that it physically hurt. Y/N didn't even give time for the others to respond to her question and had turned before beginning to move through the tunnel as fast as she could, her panicked voice yelling out, "Stanley! Stanley!"
She didn't even see the others' faces, but she knew they had to be just as worried as she was just from the sound of them scrambling through the tunnel after her and worriedly crying out, "Stanley! Stan!"
Y/N eventually stumbled upon a clearing and would've gone tumbling into the water of the new tunnel if it wasn't for Eddie, who had caught up to her, grabbing onto her arm to keep her from pitching forward. The girl sent a thankful look in Eddie's direction before carefully getting out and helping Eddie out as well, the Losers following after.
"Oh, shit. Grey water," Eddie muttered in disgust while Y/N shined the flashlight around them, trying to find any sign of her cousin and his whereabouts. "Stan?"
"Stanley!" Y/N called out, but there was still no response and all the girl could think about was how her cousin and best friend was lost within the tunnels that held a killer clown.
Her breathing was starting to become more rapid and she struggled to swallow due to her closing throat. But just when she was on the verge of tears, a presence was suddenly by her side and someone was grabbing onto her hand, instantly pulling the girl out of her state.
Y/N's eyes flickered to her side, her tears shining in the glow of the flashlights. Bill's heart broke at the sight and it felt as if she was silently asking him what they were supposed to do. Bill squeezed her hand gently before whispering, "We'll find him. I promise."
Y/N was hesitant as she stared at the boy before finally giving in with a small nod. Bill looked back to make sure everyone was out of the tunnel before looking down the new tunnel they were in. "Come on," he said before he began to run forward, dragging Y/N along at his side as he did.
"Stanley!" Y/N yelled as the group ran through the corridor, their flashlights shining everywhere around them as they desperately tried to find the curly haired boy.
But then she heard it—a noise that had the girl stopping dead in her tracks as her blood ran cold.
Stan's screams.
"Stanley?" Y/N choked out in pure horror before releasing Bill's hand and taking off down the tunnel in the direction of the screams.
The others blinked out of their surprise and shock as soon as the girl began to move and that was when they all began to take action. "Stan!" they cried out before running after the girl.
It didn't take long for them to come upon a door, Stan's screams coming from the other side. "Stanley!" Y/N yelled as she desperately tried to get the door open.
Bill was by her side in an instant and tried pulling on the door as well as he yelled, "We're coming, man!"
"We're coming! Don't worry," Eddie called out as he too began pulling on the door, Mike, Ben and Richie joining as well.
It took all of their strength, but the group was able to forcefully push the door open before entering the room where Stan had ended up. How he had ended up in there when they could barley get the door open themselves was beyond them, but they didn't bother thinking too much of it for they were too focused on Stan.
"Stan?" Bill questioned as they ran inside only to find that the curly haired boy was no where in sight. However, Y/N could see the small light coming from the other side of the room and quickly ran over to find her cousin's flashlight on the ground.
"Stanley?" Y/N called out as she flashed the light around the room before stopping on a view that had her screaming in horror, her eyes filling with tears as she struggled to pull herself together.
The others were by her side in a flash and they all let out gasps of horror at the sight of some lady that looked like she was from straight out of their worst nightmares trying to eat Stan's face.
Rows of teeth were latched onto the boy's whole face and Y/N barely had time to register that her cousin was still moving before she screamed again, her scream mixing with the sob that racked her body as she angrily threw the flashlight at the creature.
"Get the fuck away from him!" Y/N screamed so loud that it would've hurt all of their ears if they weren't too horrified by what was happening in front of them.
The flashlight bounced off of the lady's face and it froze before looking up at the group. Her mouth was still latched onto Stan's face and Y/N felt her blood run cold at the white eyes staring back at her. She instantly got a flashback of her uncle's office, remembering the painting that had given her the creeps the first time she saw it and the look of pure horror on Stan's face as he pushed her out of the room as quick as he could.
This was the painting lady Stan had been talking about. This was his fear.
And by the looks of it, it was now going to be Y/N's as well.
"What the fuck is that thing? Oh, shit!" Richie cried out as the lady released Stan who let out a gasp for air as blood trickled down his face. The creature let out what sounded like a hiss as it slowly backed away from the boy and up a set of stairs. She disappeared around a corner, but what came back around was definitely not the painting lady. It was the clown and the sight of It was enough to make Y/N jump back in fear as she huddled closer to Ben and Richie who were the closest to her at the moment.
It started at them for a moment, a small smile on its face as blood trickled down its chin before the clown disappeared around the corner and didn't return.
Y/N instantly snapped out of her fright as soon as the clown was gone and turned her eyes onto her cousin who was gasping on the floor with huge bite marks in a circle around his face, blood dripping from each mark.
"Stanley!" Y/N sobbed out in relief as she made a move to run towards her cousin. She was on her feet by him within seconds, but as soon as her hands had come in contact with his arm, the curly haired boy had shot up with an ear-piercing scream and he desperately backed away from her and the others who were running over as well.
"No! No! No!" Stan cried out in pure panic as he tried to get away from her, tears streaming down his face as he looked at his friends and cousin with wide eyes.
"Stanley, it's okay," Y/N tried to tell him, tears rolling down her cheeks as she tried to grab onto her cousin to give him comfort, but he only shoved her away and continued to scoot back.
"You left me!" Stan yelled with his eyes not leaving his cousin's face, sobbing as he did. "You took me into Neibolt! You're not my friends! You made me go into Neibolt!"
Stan was full on sobbing by now, but he had no strength left in him to pull away from the group. Y/N managed to grab ahold of his shoulder and she let out a heartbroken sob as she pulled the boy into her for a fierce hug, her arms wrapping around him as she held onto him as tight as she could. She wanted him to feel safe and secure. She wanted him to know she was here.
"You promised you wouldn't let anything happen to me!" Stan cried with a hint of betrayal in his shaky voice. "You promised!"
Y/N let out another sob at that and just gripped onto her cousin tighter, not ever wanting to let him go. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry," she cried, holding onto her cousin as he broke down in her arms.
"Stanley, I'm sorry," Eddie tried to say as he put a hand on his friend's shoulder, the others all crowding around him as well.
"You made me go into Neibolt! This is your fault," Stan told them and Y/N swore those words would forever be ingrained in her mind. She promised Stan she would keep him safe and look what had happened.
This was her fault.
The whole group was tearing up by now and Y/N didn't move as she continued to hug her cousin, holding onto him like she was afraid she would never get to again. It took a minute but eventually Stan calmed down and gripped onto him with just as much force, his yelling turning into nothing more than quiet cries.
Eddie didn't even hesitate to join the hug, his arms wrapping around both Stan and Y/N as he rested his head in between theirs. To their surprise, Richie was next and he held onto them tightly before Ben and Mike quickly joined in.
"We would never let anything happen to you," Richie spoke up, his voice shaky as he held onto his curly haired best friend. He didn't even care about how he was showing his true emotions at the moment, for the love he had for his friend—all of them—was beyond compare and he could stop being an asshole for just a second in order to let his friend know how much he was loved. "We're here for you. You know we wouldn't do that to you. Come on, Stan the Man."
Stan relaxed at that and since his arms were still wrapped around his cousin, he tightened his grip on Y/N before whispering, "I'm sorry for yelling."
"Don't apologize," Y/N whispered as she leaned into the boy. "I'm sorry this happened. It's all my fault. I promised I would keep you safe and I. . .it's all my fault."
The group began to pull away at that and Stan looked to his cousin in surprise, not realizing how hurtful his words had been until just then. A look of guilt flashed across his bloody face and he whispered, "Y/N-"
However, he didn't get a chance to say anything else because Eddie's voice was suddenly crying out in confusion, "Bill?"
Y/N froze at that and was quick to turn her head. Her eyes widened once she realized that Bill was gone and so was Mike's gun. It didn't take a genius to realize what he was doing and she suddenly felt the same panic that had coursed through her body when Stan went missing taking over her again.
"Bill!" Y/N yelled as the group all scrambled to their feet. Everyone began to yell for the boy as they hurried down the tunnel, but it seemed like the faster they ran the further the boy got.
Before the group knew it, there was no sign of Bill and all they were able to do was just continue down the tunnel. They had slowed down by now, all of them knowing that they weren't going to be able to find Bill no matter how fast they ran.
Y/N was shaking in fear as her and Stan gripped onto each other's hands for dear life. Neither wanted to be separated again for the rest of the journey down here, so holding onto each other and standing by the other's side was the only source of comfort they had walking through the sewer with their friends by their side.
Y/N had never been afraid of something more than she was now. With everything that It had done to them—all the torture, the splitting the group up, attacking Stan, stealing Beverly, and now hurting Bill so much emotionally that he felt like he had to kill him—how could she not be afraid?
She was thirteen for goodness sake. Barely a teenager and she had to go through all of this? She knew being a teenager was hard, but no one had told her she would have to fight a demon clown that turned into their worst nightmares.
"Bill!" Stan called out, snapping the girl out of her thoughts. She swallowed thickly and gripped onto her cousin's hand more as they walked. Her nerves were going haywire and she felt that if she tried to speak she would puke, so she left it up to the others to yell for Bill's name while she shined her flashlight around the tunnel.
The splashing of water caught the girl's attention and she quickly moved her flashlight so that it shined down on Eddie who had fallen into the water.
"Come on. Get out of there, dude. That's grey water," Richie tried to say in a teasing manner, although they could all sense the small worry in his voice for not only Bill but for Eddie as well.
"Wait, wait, wait. Oh, my god. Where's my fucking flashlight?!" Eddie questioned as he tried to move through the water to find the object. However, before he could, something in the water flipped over to reveal that it was a mutilated head and the group all let out a scream.
It was then that they realized all of the objects in the water were mutilated heads and Y/N was quick to reach out and pull Eddie out of the water as they all screamed. Eddie scrambled to his feet and leaned into Y/N's touch as she kept her hands steady on his non broken arm. The boy shuddered and didn't move until Y/N had linked her arm with his, running a hand comfortingly you and down his arm until his breathing had returned to normal and a look of pure disgust had taken over his features.
The absence of Y/N's hand was enough to make Stan move closer to his cousin, but he didn't mind because he knew that Eddie needed the girl right now almost as much as he did.
"Come on, let's get the fuck out of here! Come on!" Richie yelled as he quickly grabbed onto Y/N and Eddie before shoving them through the water and away from the mutilated heads as quick as possible, making sure to keep them in front of him so that he could put distance between them and the grey water.
Stan was by Y/N's side in a second and the two cousins were content with just walking near each other while Eddie continued to lean on to Y/N for support as the group quickly moved through the tunnels.
Ben had taken a place at the front of the group and guided them through the tunnels while Richie and Mike stayed in the back to make sure nothing attacked the group from behind. With her friends surrounding her, Y/N felt an odd sense of safety and comfort wash over her and that was enough to give her the ounce of courage she needed to step into what had to be It's lair.
"Shit," Y/N whispered out in a shaky voice as she took in the lair in front of her. She could see a mountain of what seemed to be garbage with kids' toys and above that were hundreds of floating objects that made the girl shudder before looking way. She didn't even want to think about what they were.
But then her eyes had latched onto a familiar red head floating limply only a little ways in the air and her eyes widened as she whispered out, "Bev."
That seemed to catch the others' attention and the group was quick to run over to their friend before looking up at her as Beverly floated above them.
"Shit. How-how is she in the air?" Richie questioned as he came to a stop beside Y/N. The two glanced at each other and shared a look of equal disgust and horror before looking back up at their friend.
"Guys. . .are those. . .?" Eddie asked and Y/N quickly followed his gaze to the floating objects she had glanced at momentarily only a few seconds before. She grimaced as she finally got a good look at them and she felt as if she were about to be sick once she realized what they were.
"The missing kids. . .floating," Stan muttered from beside his cousin, his voice shaky.
"Just help me grab her," Ben said, instantly pulling the others' attention away from the floating kids and back to their floating friend. Mike and Richie were quick to step forward and helped lift Ben up so that he could grab onto Beverly's feet and begin to pull her down.
"I'm slipping," Ben began to say, but Richie and Mike quickly steadied him before they brought Beverly down low enough that Mike and Richie could grab ahold of her as well. Once they had Beverly on her feet, everyone quickly crowded around, their eyes flickering over the girl's blank face and glossy eyes.
"Beverly?" Y/N questioned softly as her and the others watched their friend in concern. The red head didn't respond and Ben swallowed thickly before shaking the girl in an attempt to wake her up. However, her head merely titled downwards.
"Beverly. Why isn't she waking up?! What is wrong with her?! Beverly, please! Come on!" Ben cried out before he pushed her head upright and gave the girl a hug. They knew he was hoping she would hug back, but the red head still did not move.
Y/N shook her head and threw a hand over her mouth as she leaned into Stan, tears filling her eyes as she willed Beverly to wake up. Eddie hugged the girl from the side and rested his head on her shoulder as both he and Stan comforted Y/N while Ben continued to hug Beverly.
The group watched as Ben pulled away from the hug to look at Beverly and before any of them could even blink, Ben had suddenly grabbed onto the sides of Beverly's face and was kissing her.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa!" everyone muttered in complete surprise, their eyes wide. However, no one made a move to stop the boy mostly out of just shock.
"Wow," Richie finally said in disbelief as Ben finally pulled away from Beverly, his eyes staring into the girl's glossy ones desperately.
But then something incredible happened and Y/N's mouth fell open in shock as Beverly suddenly let out a gasp of air as she regained consciousness, her eyes returning to normal as she looked between her friends before stopping on Ben.
"Bev?" Ben whispered and the red head blinked in response.
"January embers," she finally said and the Losers all watched confused as Ben gave the red head one of the brightest smiles they had ever seen dawn his face.
"My heart burns there too," Ben whispered while the others all blinked in confusion.
Richie shook his head, not wanting to ask, and let out a laugh before embracing Ben and Beverly as he muttered, "Jesus, fuck."
The others all let out small laughs of relief as well and were quick to go embrace the three, all of them feeling a sense of relief wash over them now that Beverly was safe.
It took the group a moment to pull away, but when they did, the relief of the moment vanished and Beverly looked around confused before asking, "Where's Bill?"
Y/N tensed at that and was instantly on high alert once again as the others all went wide eyed. "Fuck," Y/N muttered before turning and looking around until she caught sight of the only pathway Bill could've gone down.
She didn't even think twice before running off and she momentarily heard Richie mutter "Shit," before the sound of footsteps were not too far behind her.
Y/N was practically sprinting around the corner with hopes that she would reach Bill in time. She couldn't lose him. She just couldn't.
Then there he was standing just around the corner frozen in place. Y/N let out a small sigh of relief and instantly slowed down, but froze once she saw that Bill was not alone. Her breath caught in her throat at the sight of a little boy with only one arm standing in front of Bill with a paper boat in his hands.
"Take me home, Billy," the boy pleaded and that was all Y/N needed to hear to realize who this was or who this was supposed to be.
Georgie Denbrough—Bill's missing brother.
She hadn't seen Georgie for forever now. The last time she had seen him was when he had been only a toddler, so she had almost not even recognized him. But she knew better than to believe what was in front of her. That wasn't the Georgie she remembered even if it had been years since she last saw him. This was It and Bill was on the verge of falling for the trap.
The sound of footsteps approached from behind her and in a matter of seconds the other Losers were stopping behind her, their breaths catching in their throats at the sight of the youngest Denbrough.
"I wanna go home," Georgie told the boy in a shaky voice as he was on the verge of tears. Bill began to shake and Y/N could hear the sharp intake of his breathing as the boy tried to stop himself from letting out a heartbroken sob. "I miss you. I wanna be with Mom and Dad."
"I want more than anything for you to be home," Bill whispered, his voice cracking as a few tears rolled down his face. "With Mom and Dad. I miss you so much."
He began to take a few steps towards the little boy and Y/N wanted to reach out and pull Bill back, but she couldn't help but wonder if maybe she was wrong. Maybe this was Georgie Denbrough. And if she was the one to pull Bill away and ultimately get his brother killed. . .she couldn't do that to Bill. It would break his heart.
"I love you, Billy," Georgie whimpered, his words even tugging at Richie's heartstrings as they all watched the interaction.
"I love you too," Bill whispered and Y/N watched with wide eyes as Bill held Mike's gun up to the little boy's head. So she was right about one thing. It wasn't Georgie. But Bill? He definitely wasn't falling for the trap.
Georgie began to cry out of fear and Bill took in a deep breath before saying confidently, "But you're not Georgie."
A loud clang went through the air as Bill shot the little boy and everyone let out a gasp of horror for even seeing a fake little boy fall to the ground was like watching the real thing. Y/N even felt sick for a moment and it was like she was rooted in place as she looked to Bill who was staring down at Georgie with an unreadable expression.
"Bill," Y/N whispered and the boy tensed before glancing back at her, his eyes filled with tears as he looked to Y/N for confirmation that wasn't his brother. He wouldn't be able to live with himself if that had actually been Georgie.
As if hearing his concerns, the Georgie on the ground suddenly began to convulse, morphed yells escaping his mouth as his body shook violently. Y/N blinked and stepped back slightly in shock as she watched the boy's legs suddenly grow longer and morph into those of a clown.
Georgie's arm began to grow back and flopped around in the air like a worm as a monster like groan filled the air. Y/N was horrified and her eyes flickered over to Bill who she realized was still standing dangerously close to the creature on the ground.
She went to step towards Bill, but just when she was about to the body went still and that alone was enough to make Y/N freeze as well, a sickening feeling washing over her without warning. One by one, each of the limbs suddenly grew longer and to the true proportion of It before the clown suddenly sat up, its head hanging low while the kids all watched with wide eyes.
"Shit," Bill whispered as the clown suddenly shot up onto its feet in an inhuman like way.
"Kill it now! Kill It!" Eddie screamed snapping everyone out of their shock and making the realize what was happening. "Kill it! Kill it! Kill it!"
Everyone began to yell in a frenzy for they were too far away to do anything and only Bill was close enough to kill the creature. "Shoot it, Bill!" Y/N cried out before realization struck her.
There was only one bullet and Bill had used it on Georgie.
"Bill!" Y/N yelled, but it was like the boy was frozen in place, his eyes focusing on the clown that was now looking right at him.
"Kill it!" the kids cried while Mike and Y/N made eye contact as they both remembered the sight of the bullets falling down the well.
"It's not loaded," Mike muttered and Y/N felt herself grow pale as she quickly looked back towards Bill who was holding the gun up at the clown.
"Hey, it's not loaded!" Mike tried to tell him, but Bill didn't hear and just pulled the trigger. Even though nothing came out, It shot back as if it were starting to convulse, its face beginning to turn to dust as its body shot back at a weird angle.
It began to scream and shake and everyone let out screams of horror as the clown suddenly shot back up and began running at the group. Someone grabbed onto the girl's arm and pulled her away before she could grab Bill and she barely had time to register what was going on before Richie shoved the girl behind him and begin backing up.
Y/N gripped onto the boy's arm tightly and all of the kids continued to scream as It suddenly jumped on top of Bill. "Bill!" Y/N yelled as the clown went to bite at him, but Bill was quick and put the gun up fast enough that it held the clown back by the jaw.
Y/N had to shove Richie away from her in order to get away and the boy went to grab at her but it was too late. The girl didn't even think twice before picking up the spear that Bill had made that had been tossed to the ground. She ran at the clown right when It tore the gun away from Bill and was just about to stab him when the clown turned and grabbed the spear with his hand. He instantly tore it from her grip and Eddie cried out, "Y/N, no!"
Y/N didn't have time to register what was happening before the clown lashed his arm at her, It's claws digging into her skin and drawing blood as it grabbed her and tossed her aside like a rag doll. The girl hit the wall with a sickening crunch and Y/N let out a scream of pain while Mike in a blaze of fury ran at the clown.
"Y/N!" a voice yelled, but the girl couldn't process who it was. The whole world was spinning and it was like her body was on fire. She was trying so hard not to cry from the pain, but she couldn't stop one tear from rolling down her face as she slowly pulled herself up into a sitting position.
Everything was blurry, but she was able to make out the figures of her friends jumping on the clown and yelling out words that were muffled from the ringing in her ears. Y/N shakily pressed a hand to her chest and neck and winced before pulling her hand away to see that it was covered in blood. The girl gulped and instantly regretted it once feeling the pain that jolted her body, but she knew she couldn't just sit there.
Y/N began to pull herself up onto her knees and just when she was about to stand up, she got knocked down again as Stan was thrown into her. The two cousins fell to the ground hard and Y/N let out another cry of pain while Stan groaned from beside her.
Y/N blinked a few times to try and regain her vision and just when she did, Stan appeared above her, his eyes wide with worry and fear as he eyed the girl. "Y/N?" Stan whimpered out, afraid to ask if she was okay.
"It looks worse than it is," the girl managed to whisper out although that probably wasn't entirely true. That was enough for Stan and the curly haired boy let out a shaky breath as he hurried to help his cousin up. However, it was when the two were both on their feet and turning to look at what was going on that they caught sight of It tossing the other Losers aside before grabbing Bill and holding him against his body with one of his clawed hand wrapped around the boy's throat.
"No!" Y/N yelled as she stumbled away from Stan and went to run at the clown, but It was quick to show the girl it's row of teeth and hold it near Bill, a sign for her to back off or he would kill Bill without hesitation.
"No, don't!" the Losers yelled. "Y/N, stop moving!"
Y/N instantly stopped and her wide eyes flickered between It and Bill before her face hardened and she glared at the clown. "Let him go," she demanded, her voice so deadly that it made the Losers all blink in surprise.
She was bleeding from the top of her neck down to her chest, her blue dress stained with blood that was only growing by the second. Blood was dripping from the hand she had touched her chest with, but the girl did not waiver and she did not back down.
She was not about to let It take Bill away from her. Not now. Not ever.
"I said," Y/N began with narrowed eyes, her hands balling into fists, "let him go."
"No," It said with a shake of his head, a small chuckle escaping his lips that made Y/N clench her fists in anger. She wasn't afraid anymore, she was pissed. "I'll take him. I'll take all of you and I'll feast on your flesh as I feed on your fear."
Y/N gulped at that, a small bit of fear coming back at just the mere thought of them all dying. It held up a shaky hand and grinned, "Or you just leave us be and I will take him. . .only him and then I will have my long rest. And you will all live to grow and thrive and lead happy lives until old age takes you back to the weeds."
Y/N shook her head, her jaw clenching as she looked at the clown in disbelief. Was It being serious right now? There was no way in hell she was about to leave Bill. No way.
"Leave," Bill croaked and that was enough to have the girl snap her gaze down to the boy in surprise, her eyes locking with his as he struggled in the clown's grasp.
"I won't," she insisted, tears filling her eyes as she looked at the boy in disbelief. "I'm not leaving you behind. There is no fucking way, Bill."
"Y/N, please. Save yourself. Get the others out of here," Bill pleaded, his voice cracking as It stroked his face with it's claws.
"I won't," she said, her lips trembling as she looked at the boy. It felt as if her heart broke at the sight of his defeated face and he just gave her a small sad smile as he whispered, "You will."
He tried to give her a reassuring look before he looked between her and the rest of his friends as he whispered, "I'm the one that dragged you all into this."
The boy looked at each of his friends with tears in his eyes as he gave them a sad smile. "I'm s-s-sorry," Bill told them.
"S-S-Sorry," It mocked with a laugh making Y/N harden as she glared at the clown.
"No, I'm sorry, Bill," Y/N said causing the boy to look at her and see her deadly expression as she bent down and picked up the fallen spear. "Cause there is no way I'm leaving you behind. And there is absolutely no fucking way I'm going to be able to live a happy life without you in it."
Bill's breath caught in his throat at that, his eyes trying to search Y/N's face for any sign of hesitation but there was none. The girl looked back at her friends and they all were staring at her with wide eyes, everyone except for Richie who was still watching It and Bill.
Y/N gripped onto the spear and whispered, "Richie?"
Richie was silent for a moment before pulling himself up onto his feet. "I told you, Bill. I fucking told you. I don't want to die. It's your fault," Richie said, his eyes flickering over his friend's face. Y/N felt her stomach start to drop, but Richie continued. "You punched me in the face. You made me walk through shitty water. You brought me to a fucking crackhead house. And now-"
Y/N watched as Richie reached over in the pile of toys and trash before pulling out a bat. Realization dawned on her and she couldn't help but break into a grin as the boy gripped the bat hard and came to stand by Y/N's side.
"I'm gonna have to kill this fucking clown."
It narrowed it's eyes and quickly tossed Bill down to the ground before getting up. With a yell, It began to move towards the two but the friends only smirked and tightened their hold on their weapons.
"Welcome to the Losers' Club, asshole!" Y/N and Richie cried in unison before they both took their weapon of choice and whacked the clown as hard as they could.
It stumbled back and as it came to look back at them, the other Losers joined in. Mike instantly went to hit the clown and the kids all grimaced as burning hands shot out of the clown's mouth and grabbed onto the steel pipe Mike was using.
"Mike!" a woman screamed and Y/N instantly realized this had to do with Mike's fear and the burning of his house when he was younger.
Everyone was screaming and Stan quickly rushed forward and sliced at the hands making It look to the boy. It morphed into the lady from the paintings and went to run at him, but Stan didn't even flinch as he swung at the clown.
Mike went to help, but It knocked the boy down as it's arms suddenly turned into what almost resembled king crab legs. It began trying to stomp on the boy, but Mike rolled out of the way until Ben was able to stab at the clown from behind.
It began to convulse and Y/N gagged at the sight of it's blood floating up into the air. "Kill it!" Eddie exclaimed and Ben tried, but the clown had turned into some disgusting mummy that made it hard for Ben to get too close.
Wrappings latched around Ben's head and the boy let out a scream, but Bill was now back up on his feet and had grabbed some chains which he quickly used to whack the clown with. It let go of Ben and stumbled back giving Richie and Y/N enough time to hit the clown again who went falling to the ground.
Each of the kids began hitting the clown to the point where It began coughing. It turned to face Eddie and the boy shook his head in disgust before It's face morphed into what had to be the leper Eddie was always talking about. The leper proceeded to throw up disgusting junk onto Eddie's face and the boy sat there in pure horror before opening his eyes and spitting out the throw up that had gotten in his mouth.
Eddie glanced down at the goo all over him and a blazing fire seemed to burn in his eyes as he looked to It and screeched, "I'm gonna fucking kill you!"
Eddie launched himself at the clown and It was able to knock him away but not before Y/N had caught up to the clown and went to stab It. It was ready for her and quickly grabbed the spear before tossing it aside, the weapon falling at Beverly's feet.
It's claws went for Y/N and It grabbed her by the throat before pining her to the ground, a scream escaping her lips at the burning pain coming from her chest. It stared at her and Y/N barely had time to blink before she was suddenly looking into the face of her mother.
"You broke up our family. You broke up your friend group. Is there anything you don't break?" her mother's voice taunted her. "You're a disgrace. No one will ever love you. All you do is break everything you touch."
Y/N let out a scream of anger despite the sinking feeling she got from those words and she desperately reached across the ground for the fallen chains Bill had dropped and grabbed them before wrapping it around the clown's throat. Her mother instantly disappeared and It came back as the clown let go of Y/N in order to grab for the chains.
Y/N took this to her advantage and quickly pulled herself up and around the clown before pulling back on the chains in an attempt to choke the clown. Y/N looked up and her eyes caught sight of Beverly holding onto the spear she had dropped moments before.
"Beverly, kill it!" Y/N cried out and the red head quickly went forward only for It to shake once again and instantly stop Beverly in her tracks as she came face to face with her father.
"Hey, Bevvy," It said, a smirk on what looked like Beverly's father's face. "Are you still my little-"
It didn't get a chance to finish what it was saying as Beverly let out a scream of anger and stabbed the clown through the throat. Y/N jumped back in surprise at that, her hands releasing the chains which instantly dropped to the ground while her eyes flickered up to look at Beverly.
The red head made eye contact with Y/N and Y/N couldn't help but give her the smallest of smiles despite the circumstance and whisper, "Way to release your inner badass."
Beverly cracked a small smile at that and Y/N was quick to join the red head's side as the two girls slowly backed away from the clown and over to their friends. They watched as It turned back into the clown before spitting the spear out as if it were nothing.
"Oh shit!" Eddie exclaimed as he jumped back, bumping into Y/N who reached out to grab onto the boy's arm. It let out some gurgled noises and began to back away, but the kids all stepped towards it threateningly with glares on their faces.
It moved back until it hit another well and let out a gasp of air as it looked at the Losers. It laughed as it looked between the kids, but the laughter quickly turned into small sobs as the clown realized the kids were no longer afraid of it. They were pissed off, not afraid.
"That's why you didn't kill Beverly," Bill muttered in realization. "Cause sh-sh-she wasn't afraid. And we aren't either. Not anymore. Now you're the one who's afraid cause you're gonna starve."
It's face contorted in pain and fear at that and Y/N smirked before taking a step forward to stand next to Bill. Bill didn't even hesitate to reach out and gently take the girl's hand, their fingers intertwining as they stared at the clown confidently.
It whispered and flipped over the side of the well before gripping onto the edge as the rest of the Losers also stepped forward.
"He thrusts his fists against the posts and still insists he sees the ghost," It whispered as Stan handed the spear over to Bill. Bill took it and looked back at the clown who was watching the group with wide eyes. "He thrusts his fists against the p-p-post-"
Bill let go of Y/N's hand in order to hold the spear up and went to lift it up, but It flinched and slid further down the well. Bill hesitated at that and the group watched as It's face began to break apart before their very eyes.
"Fear," It said before letting go of the side of the well and falling within.
Y/N's eyes widened and she was quick to run to the side of the well, Bill joining at her side as the two looked over the edge as the clown fell. The Losers leaned over from behind the two and watched as well until It was out of sight.
"I know what I'm doing for my summer experience essay," Richie muttered, but not even Y/N could find it in herself to let out a small laugh.
They then pulled back and that left Y/N and Bill staring over the edge. The two both let out shaky breaths before looking at each other, their eyes locking almost instantly as the reality of everything that had just happened hit them.
It was silent as the two stared at each other and Bill hesitantly reached out before brushing his hand against Y/N's. She moved her hand the rest of the way and wrapped her fingers around the boy's until their hands were interlocked. No words were exchanged, but there didn't have to be. Their hands gripping onto each other's spoke more than any words could've in that moment.
All Y/N wanted to do was collapse into Bill's arms, to hold him tight and never let go. She had almost lost him. They had all almost died. And all she wanted to do now was hold on to the boy she liked more than anything in the world and tell him how she felt.
But now wasn't the time to tell him and she knew that, so the girl only gave Bill a small smile which the boy quickly returned before yanking her arm forward and pulling her into his arms.
Y/N instantly relaxed into the boy's hold despite the burning coming from her chest, Bill digging his face into her shoulder as he wrapped his arms around her waist so tight that if it were any tighter she wouldn't be able to breathe. Bill let out a shaky breath as he held onto her and Y/N had to choke back a sob as she held onto Bill, wrapping her arms around his neck and holding him back just as tight as she rubbed the back of his neck.
"Guys, the kids are floating down," Eddie muttered and that was what had Y/N and Bill pulling away from each other. The two locked eyes for a mere second before Bill wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled her close to his side, the two turning their attention to the kids who were in fact floating down.
Y/N was too busy looking at the dead kids floating down to the ground to notice that Bill had looked away, his gaze catching on something lying in the mound of toys and trash off to the side. The spear in Bill's hand clanged against the ground and Y/N jumped before looking to the boy who had let go of her and was beginning to move towards the object he had seen.
It was like he had seen a ghost and Y/N had never seen the boy look so heartbroken and distraught in her life. Y/N craned her neck to try and see what Bill was looking at and her breath hitched in her throat at the sight of Bill falling to his knees as he reached for a yellow raincoat.
Richie was the first one to move and Y/N knew Bill needed the comfort of his friends more than anything so she allowed Richie, Eddie, and Stan to walk over there first, the three boys instantly circling the boy. Richie knelt down beside him and placed a hand on the boy's shoulder right as Bill let out a choked sob.
Y/N felt tears of her own filling her eyes and she quickly jogged over to the group while Beverly, Mike, and Ben trailed behind her. Stan, Richie, and Eddie had started to hug Bill and Y/N stood there awkwardly for a moment before she noticed Bill clenching onto the jacket and looking around as if he were trying to find someone.
His eyes locked with hers and he let out another heartbroken sob. Y/N knew what that meant and was quick to hurry over and kneel down in front of the boy, not hesitating in joining in the hug from the front so that Bill could wrap his arms around her as he cried. Bill gripped onto her one hat seemed like desperation and Y/N held onto him tightly while he his sobs shook his whole body.
He clenched the raincoat in his hands, sobbing against Y/N's shoulder as he whispered, "He's gone. Georgie's dead."
Those words seemed to strike a cord in each of them and the Losers all crowded together in a group hug as more tears began to fall. Bill's heartbreak was their heartbreak, but they couldn't tell whether they had begun to cry because of Georgie or because of everything that had happened that summer.
It didn't matter to them though for in that moment they were together, they were the Losers' Club once again and nothing would break them apart. The battle was over. It was gone and they had won.
So why did this feel like it was only the beginning?

Chapter Six - What’s A Remembrall?
——————————————————————————
Tumblr media
——————————————————————————
That Thursday they all sat in the Great Hall, the tables stacked with all the breakfasts Camille could ever imagine, though just stuck to a small bowl of cereal, breakfast had never been her favourite meal. Owls came swooping in from all angles, some delivering food, some letters, some just parcels. Camille wasn't too surprised when she got nothing from her family, they had probably forgot they even had another daughter now that she was in another country.
A barn owl brought Neville a small package from his grandmother. He opened it excitedly and showed them a glass ball the size of a large marble, which seemed to be full of white smoke.
"It's a Remembrall!" he explained. "Gran knows I forget things – this tells you if there's something you've forgotten to do. Look, you hold it tight like this and if it turns red -- oh..." His face fell, because the Remembrall had suddenly glowed scarlet.
"You've forgotten something..." Hermione said flatly.
Neville was trying to remember what he'd forgotten when Draco Malfoy, who was passing the Gryffindor table, snatched the Remembrall out of his hand. Camille went to get out of her seat, wanting to defend the young boy who seemed so fragile and unable to protect himself when Hermione reached and grab her hand, pulling her back down to her seat.
"Calm down, Cami." She spoke, the nickname slipping out without notice. "Leave it be, we don't want to get in trouble in the first week."
Taking a sip of the cup of tea that Hermione had slipped in front of her, Camille looked over her schedule, relieved that her and Hermione had the exact same lessons. "Look," she pointed out. "We have flying lessons today!" The girl let out an excited squeal, not seeing the frown on Hermione's face. She had always loved flying; her father had taught her and Fleur when they were young, Mr Delacour himself being quite the flyer. Flying was the one thing Camille could beat Fleur at.
It seemed however that Camille was one of the only excited ones.
Neville had never been on a broomstick in his life because his grandmother had never let him near one. Though Camille felt his grandmother probably had good reason, because Neville managed to have an extraordinary number of accidents even with both feet on the ground.
Hermione was just as nervous about flying lessons as Neville was about anything. This was something you couldn't learn by heart out of a book - not that she hadn't tried. Just a few minutes she had been boring them all stupid with flying tips she'd gotten out of a library book called Quidditch Through the Ages. Neville hanging on to her every word.
At three-thirty that afternoon, Camille, Hermione, Harry, Ron, and the other Gryffindors hurried down the front steps onto the grounds for their first flying lesson. It was a clear, breezy day, and the grass rippled under their feet as they marched down the sloping lawns toward a smooth, flat lawn on the opposite side of the grounds to the forbidden forest, whose trees were swaying darkly in the distance. Camille was practically buzzing with excitement as she spotted the brooms laying on the grass. She wondered if Hogwarts was as beautiful from the air as it was from the ground.
A few meters away from the bundle of students stood their teacher, Madam Hooch. She was an intimidating woman, alike Professor McGonagall, with spikey grey hair and piercing yellow eyes.
"Well, what are you all waiting for?" she barked. "Everyone stand by a broomstick. Come on, hurry up."
Camille and Hermione had stood at the end, both hoping to stay out of the scary Professor's way. Looking down at her broom Camille smiled, it seemed to shine like it was brand new, and there was no stick poking out or splinted wood.
"Stick out your right hand over your broom," called Madam Hooch at the front, "and say 'Up!'"
Everyone shouted, "Up!".
Camille's broomstick shot up into her hand immediately, the smooth wood feeling familiar in the palm of her hand, like the greeting of an old friend. Hermione's however had just rolled over on the ground, her voice shaky as she repeated the word 'up' over and over again, frustration building up in her voice. Eventually, the broom flew slowly into the girl's grasp, a smile glowing brightly on her previously disappointed face. Like the sun on an early winter's morning, Camille thought to herself.
After waking down the middle of the two rows of students, giving an approving nod to Harry, Draco, Camille, and countless other students whose brooms had obeyed their command straight away.
"Now, when I blow my whistle, you kick off from the ground, hard," said Madam Hooch after teaching to bundle of students how to properly mount a broom, gaining giggles from the Gryffindor students when she told Malfoy he had been doing it wrong his whole life.
"Keep your brooms steady, rise a few feet, and then come straight back down by leaning forward slightly. On my whistle - three - two -" The women spoke sternly and clearly, her eyes focused on the sky above, almost checking for danger in a way; disregarding a certain Longbottom who had pushed off a second too early. A second that had almost costed his life.
"Madam Hooch!" Camille yelled loudly, pointing at the poor boy who was now dangling on his broom dangerously. The woman turned furiously, eyes raging at the boy in the air.
"Come back, boy!" she shouted, but Neville was rising straight up like a cork shot out of a bottle -- twelve feet -- twenty feet. Camille's heart rate sped up with every rise of the broom. A thud and a nasty crack was heard and Neville lay face down on the grass in a heap. His broomstick was still rising higher and higher, and started to drift lazily toward the forbidden forest and out of sight. Rushing to the boy in a flash, Camille bend down to his height and placed her hand on his arm, "By Merlin, Neville, what were you thinking?"
"Broken wrist," Camille heard the Professor mutter from her place beside her. Gracefully pushing herself off the ground, Camille grabbed the boy's forearm, Madame Hooch grabbing his shoulder as they lead him to the rest of the class. "Come on, boy -- it's all right, up you get."
She turned to the rest of the class, Camille staying beside poor Neville, figuring he could use some comfort.
"None of you are to move while Miss Delacour and I take this boy to the hospital wing! You leave those brooms where they are or you'll be out of Hogwarts before you can say 'Quidditch.' Come on, dearies."
Camille grasped Neville's arm more firmly, trying to avoid his wrist as the grey-haired woman led the two up towards the castle.
A short amount of time later, Camille found herself in the Great hall with Hermione, who was informing her on Malfoy and Harry's argument one she and Madam Hooch had left.
Nudging Hermione in the side, Camille gestured over the boy who lived and Ron, who were talking rather loudly across the table. And about a great topic too; wizard duels. And if Camille had heard Hermione correctly, then Harry had got himself wrapped up in one.
"Excuse me," Camille spoke gently, the two shutting up instantly as they laid eyes on the two girls leaning over the table to listen in. Well, Hermione had leaned in to grab the potatoes, but Camille was quite interested on the topic.
"Hermione informed me on what happened with Malfoy and I really don't think it's a good idea to go-"
Ron groaned in annoyance, "Hermione already told us it's a bad idea."
"-without me!" Camille finished, smiling with mischief sparkling in her eyes. She loved duels, and she loved breaking rules even better. And what better way to make friends then to break the rules with them, or even better, battle with them.
Slipping back into her seat, Camille ignored the disapproving look she got from Hermione who sat next to her glaring at the girl who was chewing slowly on the few roast potatoes Hermione had placed on her pretty much empty plate.
"You three really mustn't go wandering around the school at night. You could get hurt and think of the points you'll lose Gryffindor if you're caught, and you're bound to be considering Ron is about as heavy footed as a rhino. It's all very selfish of you, and Camille don't think I didn't hear you fidgeting about in bed last night wide awake, you need sleep not to be with these idiots-." Hermione said quickly, her voice cutting herself short at the end as if she wished she hadn't said anything at all.
"You know, it's really none of your business," said Harry, his knife and fork cluttering loudly on his plate as he stood up to leave, Ron following suit.
"Yeah, it's really not any of your business." The Weasley spoke, looking back at Camille before they left. "Come on Camille, if you really want to help, we're going to have to fill you in on the plan." He gestured for her to follow them out of the Great Hall, the girl giving the puffy haired girl next to her an apology as she ran up her side of table and to the doors, hand clutching her satchel that rattled beside her.
That night, Camille had decided that she probably shouldn't sleep in fear of not waking up at the time her and the boys had discussed, instead settling down with a blanket and a book on an armchair in front if the fireplace in a cosy corner of the common room. The book in question being Pride and Prejudice, one of her all-time favourite books that her sisters had gifted her with for her birthday knowing her love for muggle literature. Every time she read it Camille found herself in awe at the heart aching way in which the bond between Elizabeth Bennett and Mr Darcy was written, the French constantly wishing she would someday be lucky enough for a love like that. She wasn't ashamed to admit the book often bought her to tears.
Several hours past, the girl now curled into a ball with the blanket tucked beneath her feet, the fire still alight thanks to the small smell Camille had remembered from one of her spell books.
Looking at the clock in the corner of the room, Camille closed her book gently, folding in the corner of the page as she saw that it was almost half eleven, and that the boys would be coming down any moment.
Chucking on the dressing gown she had brought down with her to cover her short pyjamas; having heard footsteps from her place in the armchair. You can imagine her surprise when Hermione appeared in front of her instead of the boys, arms crossed with a sour look on her face.
"Honestly, Cami." The girl spoke, as she walked over to the girl, plopping herself on the side of the armchair. "I should've known you would go along with their ridiculous plan," Hermione spoke, her arms tucked into the pink fluffy robe she wore. Camille didn't question why Hermione had joined her on the armchair, she didn't feel the need too. If anything, she was glad to have some company while she waited for Ron and Harry.
"I can't believe you're going to do this, Harry." Hermione spoke out, the two boys who had been creeping down the stairs jumping in fright as Camille flickered on the lamp beside them.
"Not you again!" Ron said furiously, "Camille you didn't wake her up, did you?"
"Of course, she didn't, she's been down here all-night waiting for you. I came down a few minutes ago to tell you three not to go! I almost went to your brother, he's a prefect, he would put a stop to this." Hermione ranted, her hands grabbing Camille's as she stood up to follow the boys who were now leaving the common room.
"Don't you care about Gryffindor, do you only care about yourselves, I don't want Slytherin to win the house cup, and you'll lose all the points I got from Professor McGonagall for knowing about Switching Spells. And the points Camille got from Madame Hooch for helping Neville." Hermione continued, hopping over the entrance to the common room in pursuit of Ron and Harry, and now Camille, who had joined the two.
"Go away." "All right, but I warned you, you just remember what I said when you're on the train home tomorrow, you're so -" Hermione stopped herself, a gasp escaping her mouth causing the rest to turn around. The Fat Lady had gone on a night-time visit and Hermione was locked out of Gryffindor tower.
"Now what am I meant to do!" The girl sighed, her face falling ever so slightly.
Grabbing her hand, Camille pulled her to join the two boys, "Come with us! You can help with spells a-and stuff."
Sighing at the desperate look in Camille's eyes, and not wanting her only friend to get in trouble or hurt in the first week, Hermione nodded her head slowly.
"I guess I'm coming with you then

It's A Jameson Thing (Part 1)
Masterlist
Gender: Female
Pairing: Peter Parker x Jameson!OC
Warning: None
Peter falls for the charismatic, argumentative girl that just switched classes. Unbeknownst to him, she's the niece of J. Jonah Jameson, the man that viciously hates Spiderman.
---------------------------------------
Tumblr media
"Alright so the proton and electron collide and then make..."
Mr. Harrington turned away from the smartboard and looked out into the sea of students in front of him. No one moved a muscle. "Anybody? A proton and an electron combine and maaaaake???" The students stayed silent, staring back at him with boredom dulling their eyes. He dropped his hands. "Come on, communication is needed, people! I know someone knows the answer!" He looked around, almost as desperate as the students for something.. anything new to happen. "Parker?," he pointed with chaotic hope in his eyes. "You know the answer right?!"
Peter felt his best friend, Ned, nudge his arm and immediately he jolted awake. "Huh? Um- HERE!," he blurted out, raising his hand.
Ned slapped his forehead. Chuckles were heard. Somewhere a student coughed.
Mr. Harrington rolled his eyes with a sigh. "Ugh, you know what? Free period, guys. No one's head's in the game today anyway."
"Whoop! Whoop!," Brad yelled though it was covered with a wide yawn.
And just like that the class began to wake up. Everyone moved their chairs, switched seats, until the entire class turned into a social frenzy."
So, did you watch the new Star Wars yet?," Ned asked, getting Peter to fully wake up.
The teenage superhero smoothed out his hair. "Nah, not yet. I haven't had much time."
At that, Ned completely freaked. "What?! Dude, you have to! You gotta hurry up and watch it so we can talk about it together!" He wildly began to rummage in his backpack.
"What're you doing?," Peter asked.
"Getting my planner because we're going to watch this together," Ned playfully snapped. "Now, when are you free?" He held his pen in his hand, expectantly.
Peter chuckled. "I-I don't know, man. Anything could happen at any time. I have to be ready." He cracked looked at Ned's disappointed face. Maybe he should relax a little. "...okay, anyday around 5. That's usually an inactive time for criminals. What happens in it, anyway?"
Ned's jaw dropped. "You seriously think I'm gonna tell you?! No spoilers, Pete," he said, pointing his finger in his friend's face.
Then he leaned in close. "But there is one thing I need to tell you for when you watch it."
Peter leaned in closer. "Yeah?"
"You know how Rey was kept having flashbacks about her family being taken?"
"Mhm." Peter nodded, eyes wide.
"Just, remember that part, okay?," Ned said. "It's real important, man. In fact, to get the full experience, you need to rewatch EVERYTHING." Ned smirked, "preferably in order."
Peter laughed. "I watched it out of order one time, Ned! How long are you gonna hold that against me?"
Their attentions were pulled to the front of the class when Mr. Harrington said, "Alright class, listen up!"
The class slowly became silent.
Mr. Harrington clapped his hands together. "Okay, so it appears we have a new student joining us today!" He stepped aside to reveal a young girl.
"Oooh, wow she's hot," Ned whispered from beside Peter.
"Shhh, Ned!," Peter whisper-shouted back.
"I'm actually not new," she spoke with a wave towards the class. "Just got my schedule tweaked a bit is all."
"Oh, well then you guys have already seen her around."
Flash threw his head up, looking the girl up and down. "Yeah, I've definitely seen you around."
She quickly shot him a glare. "Don't try it," she warned coldly, earning a few ooohs from the class.
Next, she was allowed to pick her seat.
Peter watched her as she walked further down the rows of desks. There was only one word that came to mind. Wow. Just from the way she held herself, he could see that she was special. And she knew it.
She had the type of confidence that he hadn't gotten until after becoming Spiderman.
It was as if even if she knew the apocalypse was imminent, she wouldn't move from her spot.
And Peter never realized it until seeing her now. A simple truth.
Confidence was attractive.
And on top of that she was attractive.
Peter blinked repeatedly, snapping out of his trance, after realizing that Ned was frantically waving a hand in his face.
"Peter? Hey. Yo! You okay?!"
"Huh? Ah- what?"
"In front of you!"
The girl was right in front of him.
"I said can I sit here?," she said, pointing at the chair beside him. No one sat there. It was perfect. Of course she could sit there.
Peter looked back at her, suddenly frozen. "Y-you wa-nt to-o, y-ye."
She furrowed her eyebrows. "I'm gonna take that as a yes..."
Ned nodded repeatedly with a wide smile, pulling the chair back for her to sit in. "That was TOTALLY a yes!"
She plopped into her seat with a snicker. She didn't take out any supplies because the class was nearly done. "So, who're you guys?"
Peter stared at her, his mouth still open. "M-my nam-me's Pee-!"
"Pee?"She stared back. "Like, as in... urinating?"
Ned rolled his eyes with an amused chuckle before trying to save his friend from embarrassing himself. "His name's-"
"Ter!" Peter's face was beet red.
The girl beside him giggled. "Oh, Peter. Of course." She playfully rolled her eyes. "Well Peter, I look forward to seeing you later. That is, if you can say more than a few words to me at a time." She smirked with a hum.
At that, the bell rang. The class proceeded to leave.
The girl grabbed her bag and stood up when she felt a hand grab hers. "Wait!," Peter blurted out. "When will we see you again?!"
The girl raised her eyebrows, eyeing his hand desperately grabbing hers. "Umm," she laughed out. "Maybe if my new class schedule aligns with yours then I'll see you..." She looked around. "Uhh, can you kind of-"
Peter looked down at their hands as he realized what he had done. "OH- uh... SORRY!"
She shook her head, laughing a bit. "No problem," she said before walking away.
"And I'm Ned!," Ned yelled after her.
Suddenly realizing everything he had done in the past 10 mintues, Peter dropped his head in his hands. "Oh mannn..."
Ned, who had been trying to keep a straight face the entire time, bursts into laughter. "Oh my God, duuude! You got it bad." He clapped his hands together. "I gotta tell MJ at lunch! Hahahaaa!"
-
"Wait wait wait. You don't even know her name?" MJ snickered, shaking her head at the two boys across from her.
"S-she didn't really have the chance to-"
MJ cut him off. "But you said she introduced herself to the class." She furrowed her eyebrows. "Wait-" she pointed her finger accusingly-" you two were talking weren't you?"
Peter waved his hand dismissively. "What? Hold on... Ned, we missed her name when you were screaming to me that she was hot!"
Ned paused, chicken wing halfway in his mouth. "I did? Huh, I guess I did."
MJ slapped her hand to her forehead. "I swear, you two idiots." She turned to the chubbier friend. "First, you can't shut up enough to hear the girl even say her name." Then to the thinner. "And then you can't say two words to her without getting tongue-tied or blushing like an idiot- why do I even bother. All this lovey-dovey crap does is aggravate me..'
Ned smirked, looking up. "Because you wuvvv usss," he said, making kissing noises.
"Oh go die in a hole-"
"*Attention teachers and students. Attention teachers and students. Will Jillian Jameson please come to the office? I repeat. Jillian Jameson, please come to the office.*"
The intercom turned off and Ned raised an eyebrow. "Jillian Jameson? Whose that?"
MJ shook her head nonchalantly. "The only Jameson I know is the one that hates you," she said, referring to the show host that made it his life's goal to give Spiderman a bad rep.
Peter rolled his eyes. "Oh, don't remind me."
He walked to the trash cans on the side of the cafeteria to throw away his lunch tray.
When he got there, he couldn't help but notice commotion from outside of one of the cafeteria windows. What he saw made his jaw and his plate drop to the floor.
It was the girl from earlier, the one who's confident flair had Peter head over heels.
The one who's hand he desperately grabbed, subconsciously to keep her closer.
The one that even though Peter had only just met her, he knew she'd probably be the end of him.
The one who was at that exact moment, running into a big cheerful hug with none other than J. Jonah Jameson. The man that viciously hated Spiderman's guts.
"Uncle John! How are you?"
Peter fervently ran back to the table. He buried his head in his hands for what felt like the twentieth time that day.
"Pete, what's wrong? What happened?," Ned asked.
"Yeah dude. You look like you saw a life-ending event in all of 20 seconds," MJ morbidly chuckled.
But he had.
"Guys," Peter, lifting his head, began to speak. "She's a Jameson."
MJ spoke up. "Well, c'mon there are tons of people with the same last na-"
"No MJ." Peter's eyes were wide open. "She's a Jameson Jameson..."

Saw A.C.E in Chicago and Atlanta this week and had meet and greet packages for both stops (no I couldn't afford it, yes my bank account overdrafted whoops).
It was ammazingggg. LONG STORY AHEAD.
The question I asked was answered by Chan. Bless his heart he struggled so much to say my name and I was in the second row on the furthest side from him. I stood up and waved so he could see me. They asked how to pronounce my name and BK actually said it perfectly, I was so impressed!
The question that was chosen was "What hobby do you want to try that you haven't tried before". He said Cooking, cause he isn't good at it and Donghun won't eat his food.
When the item signing started, BK would interact with us a lot and the girls in front of us took the liberty of teaching him the phrase "Let's get this bread." His face when they explained that bread = money was priceless. Experiencing that magical moment will live with me forever since he has been saying it nonstop since then.
So since PLT I've decided my "thing" for each autograph I can get is making my dumb pun fans. Eventually I'll just have a wall of these dang things and I'm excited about it. I made one for each my friend and me. Here's mine.
Tumblr media
The other thing I prepared for them I kept super secret because I very much wanted to see their reaction to it. I didn't post it publicly anywhere. In line with Choice teasingly referring to Junhee as a lizard much to the delight of the fandom and the rest of A.C.E while hysterically bugging Jun, I couldn't resist... I'd always wanted to give away cute things at concerts but since I'm also an asshole I used my exceptionally mediocre photoshop skills to make
Tumblr media
These beauties.
I originally only had 150 to hand out and I was actually worried I wouldn't be able to get rid of them all. I thought people might think they're dumb and not want any. Then due to a print shop mistake I ended up with 650. Whoops.
Before the meet and greet they tell us explicitly we are not allowed to give them anything and if they catch us trying to sneak them something they'll escort us out. My plan to see their reaction was almost destroyed! But I was very graciously given permission to -show- them the card, not give it to them (don't worry. They each got two in their gift boxes).
A.C.E tends to always stand/sit in the same order, so just as I expected, Chan was up first. He understood the pun of my fan! He thought it was really cute and gave such a big reaction I was pleased. Then I showed him the card and it was even bigger. I told him it was Junhee and he full on kicked out a leg and hit the table as he laughed which made me happy. He shook my hand.
Up next was Donghun who was the most quiet. I showed him the card after he signed my fan and he asked who it was. I told him it was Jun and he laughed and probably judged me a lot but then he gave me a high five and interlaced our fingers for a moment so I didn't feel completely embarrassed. The person behind me was so excited they moved onto Donghun before Jun was ready for me so I was waiting in limbo for a few seconds.
Leader Jun in the middle, the reaction I wanted most. He signed my fan and then I put the card down for him to see. He asked who it was, he seemed surprised. I told him it was him and he laughed and tried to deny it. He asked what kind of lizard it was, I told him it was a giant day gecko because I think they're the cutest. I told him I made sure to give them some in their gift box, and that we would see him again in Atlanta. He shook my hand and then the person behind me got excited again lol.
Byeongkwan was next! This boy is an absolute doll okay? The first thing he said to me is that he liked my lipstick (it was green). He signed my fan, then I showed him the card and he was beyond stoked. He laughed so loud and even held it up to Jun pointing it out to everyone. I promised him he got two in his gift box. He asked if I made one of each member and I told him no, but promised him I would next year (me and my big mouth). He held my hand and interlaced fingers and was just so sweet until the person behind me encouraged me on again.
WOW. OKAY. So Sehyoon is my bias af I was VISIBLY SHAKING at this point and as I set my fan down it so obnoxiously tapped the table several times. He tapped his lips and pointed at mine and said "pretty". I thanked him and said it was green for "cactus". I'm not sure if he understood cause he just repeated "cactus" and cocked his head slightly before signing my fan. Then I showed him the card. He asked who it was and I said Jun. He laughed a little and then I told him he was my favorite. He had the quietest lil thank you, then took my hand in both his soft tiny bby hands and I think my brain melted cause I couldnt make eye contact anymore it was too much. Just thinking about it is making my heart hurt. (To be clear, I am in no way special, he held everyone's hand the same way).
After that, we did the pictures! I very shyly wanted to stand between BK and Wow. I didn't do anything special this time around cause the pose I wanted was done by two other people so I just asked for cute cheek pokies. They were having so much fun with people so that inspired my next photo request. As I was walking away from the photo BK told me again that he really liked my lipstick and I was over the moon.
I brought about half the cards with me to hand out hoping I wouldn't have extras and people LOVED THEM? I ran out and felt bad that I didn't bring more!
The concert was AWESOME!! They're so interactive with fans I had several moments with EACH of them, but my favorite is when Wow kicked up a heart and he saw me catch it all goofy instead of letting him hit the woah and he laughed and mimicked me. He also handed me two lollipops (I gave one to my friend) but I'm never gonna eat it.
For the hi touch Chan handed us our photo cards, and hi fived us. They were oddly out of order (chan, Donghun, BK, Wow, Jun). I managed to tell him and Donghun they did amazing, then BK told me AGAIN he still loved my lips. I was so excited I told him "it'll be BLUE next time" and he said "oh!" BUT BY DOING THAT MY DUMBASS MISSED THE CHANCE TO LOOK INTO WOW'S AND JUN'S EYES UGH I WAS SO UPSET AT MYSELF also I got yelled at by security (rightly so).
Next is Atlanta!
I started handing out cards earlier and got worried again cause there were quite a few people that weren't interested at all. Fortunately by the end of the show there were so many people wanting them I offered to do a reprint if necessary. Some people even said they were going through the hi touch holding it up which I LOVED.
Anyway, this time during the Meet and Greet I was in the front row directly in front Byeongkwan and Wow. I WAS NOT OKAY. I kept making eye contact and getting so shy ugh. Byeongkwan recognized me and tapped his lips and winked when he saw me (I was wearing blue lipstick this time). BK got my question (the interpreter said my name perfectly without me needing to tell her, I was so impressed!) I asked what concept they wanted to try that they hadn't tried yet. He said they had already done everything and I cocked my head giving him a disbelieving look. He then admitted that they hadn't done the cutesy boy concept and I lost it- I cant imagine them trying to pull that off.
For future Choice in my position- these boys have ears like BATS okay. There was one time Jun said something like "it's his choice." And I quietly said to the person next to me "no we're choice." And he looked at me and said "You're right! You're all choice!" I was shook.
Wow got asked what his favorite dessert to eat is and he said chocolate anything, then listed things "Chocolate cake. Chocolate ice cream. Chocolate rice." At this point everyone exclaims and he gets his silly lil smile and says "Chocolate fish." And everyone loses it. It was so funny and cute.
Later Jun was asked if he preferred pancakes or waffles and it was a really hard question for him. He said he had been eating more pancakes since coming to the US but he liked both a lot. He just didn't like Chocolate pancakes and I said "cause Wow eats them all?" And wow just very dreamily says "Choco pancakes...." I about died.
BK was asked if he wanted to go to the aquarium and he said he really hoped to. He asked if there were beluga and everyone said yes but I said "But they have WHALE SHARKS!" which imo is the coolest thing about the Georgia aquarium. None of them seemed to know exactly what I meant but they were excited by the concept of the words "whale" and "shark" together. (Spoiler alert: The next day they totally went and got pics with the whale shark).
Finally BK asked where people recommended they eat. Someone suggested sushi at first. I thought it was funny to recommend sushi when visiting the US. BK seemed of the same mindset so chicken and waffles came up and Jun loudly said WAFFLES! To which, Wow said in his same dreamy tone "chocolate waffles" and I looked at him and said "chocolate chicken?" embarrassing the HELL out of myself cause everyone was super grossed out by it and making a scene. I hid but my friend said Wow thought it was funny. I think she was trying to make me feel better.
So the item signing time comes up. My DUMB ASS forgot my album at home so the day before I had gone on a panicked shopping spree and decided on a pot for my cactus.
Chan was up first as usual. He recognized me and asked if I was in Chicago and I said yes! He asked what the pot was and I told him it was for my cactus plant. He was so adorable, while he was signing it he said quietly "grow well." So now it has to. This time he did not do a high five with me.
Next was Donghun. He looked so confused at my pot. I told him it was for my cactus and he just kinda nodded. It was very quiet because I had tried to learn a short phrase for him in korean but I got too nervous and I couldn't say it. I just thanked him. I'll have to keep practicing.
Jun was next and also asked me if I had been in Chicago and thanked me for coming again. I told him it was my last stop but I knew they would keep doing amazing. He asked about the pot and said it was so cute and signed super big. He shook my hand.
BK was next and he complimented my lips again. I asked him if he liked the green or blue better and he said both were good. He asked about the pot and signed it for me, he said it was cute and he liked it. He high fived me when it was time to move on.
WOW. AGAIN. okay so he asked about the pot and I said it was for my cactus and he mimed planting a cactus while looking up at me and I nodded while melting cause he is SO GODDAMN CUTE OKAY. Then while he was signing it I worked up my courage cause I had tried to learn a phrase for him as well BUT I MESSED UP I MESSED UP SO BAD IT WAS BAD OKAY. He was so confused and thank GOD the interpreter was right there and she asked "what are you trying to say" and she helped me say it. I was SO EMBARRASSED I had practiced so much and was saying it SO WELL up until that moment. Once I managed he smiled and said I did good then took my hand and said something which the interpreter translated for me and I just grabbed my heart with my free hand and then had to just cover my face I couldnt handle it. Walking away was hard but staying was harder.
Of course that just put me back in my seat directly in front of him.
Dont judge me, but I was trying to say, "You're so awesome it makes my heart hurt." And his response was "Then I'll prescribe you some medicine" and I KNOW its cheesy and overdone but I wanted that moment once for me so I took my chance. Anyway I looked like a damn fool but it was over.
The last dumb thing I did as the signing went on cause we kept making random eye contact and I got self conscious of always looking away. One of the times Wow and I met eyes I winked and shot finger guns and his eyebrows raised ever so slightly and I wanted to sink into the floor and die so I hid my face again. He looked so surprised like what WAS I THINKING WHY DID I DO THAT AAAAAAAA.
Anyway.
Here's my cute cheap pot!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Next was pictures. This time I had a plan. I asked them to pose ugly with me. They were surprised and asked for clarification twice, BK even asked me in english and I said "yes, ugly faces. If you can! If it's even possible." I wonder if it's the first time theyve ever been requested to do that. Anyway that's gonna be my thing too with the punny fan from now on. They did their best and it's absolutely adorable. Afterward BK walked up to me and wanted to see the pictures I took so I showed him. After he walked away it occured to me how fun and casual that was, that he just came over to look at pics together. I love this boy so much damb.
The atlanta show was amazing but the stage was so high up and far away there was no direct interaction possible. They made up for it with even more interaction! BK and Donghun each danced with me. I made a heart with my friend and Chan winked and laughed cause it looked like she begrudgingly made the heart with me when in reality she just couldnt hear me and couldnt tell what I was asking. Wow played a heart escalating game with me and he won so I made a dumb cute face and he laughed.
At hi touch I was determined not to miss Wow again. The order was the same except Donghun and Chan switched. I told them they did really amazing, a great show! Then BK said "Best lips!" To me and I got so excited but still didnt want to miss Wow, I loudly repeated "Best Lips!" While making eye contact and high fiving this poor man so hard, then for Jun I said "Don't forget!" And he was just so unprepared for me because I was unprepared for me but I WAS SO HYPED UP I LOST MY LAST BRAINCELL ITS STILL IN ATLANTA GUYS ITS GONE FOREVER.
So anyway that was a lot of unnecessary details about my specific adventures with A.C.E and I loved them so much and maybe one person will read this and smile but mostly I just want to try and remember as much detail as possible. I'll add things as I remember if I forgot something. Anyway dont be like me hahahaHAHAHA.
Also highkey if BK or one of the boys ends up with a bold lipstick color for a comeback or promotions in the next year or so I'm taking full credit.
