Cheryl Blossom walked into Pop’s, looking for Toni, but instead she found someone else.
Two someones, actually.
You’d been enjoying your strawberry malt and fries all by yourself when Sweet Pea had decided to join you without warning.
“Careful now - rumor has it if you drink too many strawberry milkshakes in one sitting, you’ll wake up as a strawberry.”
You couldn’t resist the urge to roll your eyes, dunking a pair of fries in the malt before bringing them to your lips. “Thank god this is a strawberry malt then, or I’d be fucked.”
He sat down in the booth across from you without asking, grabbing a fry before you could pull them away. “Milkshake, malt - same thing.”
“Nope,” you replied, popping the p. “Malts have malted milk powder; milkshakes do not.”
Sweet Pea pulled a face at that. “And why would you want that?!”
You shrugged. “Personal preference.”
“Weirdo.”
You looked up to give Sweet Pea a piece of your mind at that, but found him smiling instead. It was rare to see a smile from the Serpent, and seeing it made something that felt awfully like desire pool in your stomach. You ignored it, taking a sip of your malt while you gathered your thoughts. “Wow, a compliment? If I didn’t know any better, I’d think the world was ending.”
Sweet Pea snagged another fry, popping it into his mouth, the smile turning into a smirk. “Who knows? It might be.”
“Guess we’ll find out.”
Before you could respond to that, Cheryl interrupted. “Well, well, well. Fancy seeing the two of you here. And looking chummy, no doubt. What’s so funny?”
“The end of the world,” you quipped, causing Sweet Pea to snicker and you couldn’t help joining him.
“Haven’t you looked outside, Cheryl? Pigs are flying!”
Cheryl let out a huff, shaking her head. “Ignoring all that,” she said with a dismissive wave of her hand, “have either of you seen Toni? She said she would meet me here, but I can’t seem to find her.”
“Whyte Wyrm?” Sweet Pea supplied. “You know she’s been spending all her free time there ever since she became part owner.”
“I just didn’t think she’d get so caught up in it that she’d forget about date night!”
“Have you tried calling her?” You suggested, regretting it when Cheryl fixed you with a glare.
“Of course I’ve tried calling! She didn’t pick up and I-”
Just then, the door to the Chock’lit Shoppe opened, the bell signaling a new customer. The three of you turned to see Toni Topaz making her way over, pulling Cheryl in for a hug and a kiss. “Sorry I’m late,” she murmured. “Got a bit caught up reviewing the new menu for the Whyte Wyrm’s grand reopening.”
“You’re here now and that’s all that matters,” Cheryl said, her smile returning. “Ta-ta, you two. Don’t get too cozy over there.”
You and Sweet Pea burst into laughter once Cheryl and Toni were seated at the opposite end of Pop’s. “God, she can be so eccentric at times,” you giggled, shaking your head.
“I don’t know what Toni sees in her, but I’m glad the two of them have each other.”
“She sees in Cheryl what I have since elementary school: a girl with a lot of love to give who just needs someone to see her potential.”
Sweet Pea shot you a look as he grabbed another fry. “If you say so.”
“Hey, if I said the same thing about Toni, you’d be defending her, too. Cheryl’s my friend like Toni is yours - we go way back.”
“True.” You were almost taken aback when the Serpent agreed with you. He slid out of the booth before you could process what had just happened, but not before stealing a handful of fries off your plate. “Let me know when you’re here again - I can always get behind free fries.”
“In your dreams, Serpent!” You shouted at his retreating back, no malice in your voice at all.
- - -
“See what I mean?” Cheryl whispered to Toni, the two of them tucked away in their usual corner booth that surveyed the whole of Pop’s, splitting a milkshake. “There’s definitely something there.”
“Maybe,” Toni drawled, narrowing her eyes as she watched Sweet Pea duck his head and smile to himself when his back was turned from you. “I haven’t seen Sweet Pea look this smitten in a while.”
“Do you think they’d have a chance if we worked our matchmaking magic?”
“What is it you’re always saying? Sometimes the craziest ideas are the most brilliant ones?”
Cheryl smiled, leaning in to kiss Toni. “You’re absolutely right, Tonikins! Shall we start plotting now?”
- - -
“What’s up, Toni?” Sweet Pea growled into his phone, his frustration bleeding over from one phone call into the next. Fangs had been giving him shit for something and while he was glad to have Toni’s phone call as an excuse to hang up on his friend, he was still pissed.
“What’s up, Sweet Pea, is that I have the perfect solution to your dilemma.”
“What kind of solution?” He paused. “Wait. What’s my dilemma?”
“Nevermind that. Meet me for breakfast tomorrow morning so we can discuss.”
“Discuss what? I’m gonna need more details than that, T.”
Toni couldn’t help but let out a giggle. “All will be revealed tomorrow morning, Sweets. Riverdale Cafetorium at seven sharp - don’t be late!”
She hung up a moment later, leaving a stunned but obedient Sweet Pea in her wake.
- - -
“Cheryl? Is everything okay?” You asked when you answered Cheryl’s phone call. Before she’d met Toni, you and Cheryl spoke on the phone almost nightly; now she rarely called so you figured something had to be up.
“It will be. Meet me in the cafetorium tomorrow at seven?”
“Uh, sure? Why the phone call, though? You could’ve just texted.”
“Just wanted to hear your voice, YN. See you then!”
Nothing was said after that, the line going dead as Cheryl presumably hung up. “See you then,” you said into the void before going back to your nightly routine.
- - -
Toni and Cheryl were already seated at a table when you arrived, the two of them sharing a pastry as Sweet Pea looked on across from them.
“What’s he doing here?” You asked, unable to keep the harshness out of your voice. It was way too fucking early for this and you didn’t even have time for coffee.
“Calm down, dearie. Take a seat.” Cheryl was unusually perky but the tinge of obey me in her voice had you doing just that.
“Yeah, dearie. Take a seat,” Sweet Pea mimicked, and you couldn’t help shooting a glare in his direction. “But really, you two. What is it that was so urgent you couldn’t tell me over the phone last night?”
Toni sat up a little straighter, glancing at Cheryl briefly before she spoke, “Well, because Cheryl and I have a favor to ask. As you know, I’ve been stressing over the reopening of the Whyte Wyrm - particularly the menu - and I was hoping that as my friend,” she looked at Sweet Pea, “and my girlfriend’s best friend,” she looked at you, “that both of you would be willing to come over this weekend for a sample meal.”
“I knew she wanted something,” Sweet Pea leaned back, crossing his arms and muttering under his breath, and you couldn’t help but agree with that statement.
“Of course she did,” you said in the same tone before turning your attention back to Toni and Cheryl. “All you had to do was ask! Of course I will!”
“Me, too. But YN is right - next time just ask us. Not everything has to be a big scheme.”
His statement shocked you. The two of you hadn’t ever really agreed on much since Toni and Cheryl’s relationship had started, and now you were both agreeing with each other more than once in twenty-four hours? It was almost too much for you to handle. Sure, the two of you were polite and cordial with each other - for the most part - but lately it seemed to be getting out of hand.
“That’s really good advice, thank you,” Cheryl said, cutting in. “So, we’ll see you Saturday at eight? Oh, and dress real nice. Tonikins and I wanna see what the vibe could be like if we manage to bring in some fancier customers.”
And just like that, Cheryl and Toni stood up in unison just as the bell signaling first period rung, leaving both you and Sweet Pea stunned for the second time.
“Why do I feel like the scheming isn’t over yet?” Sweet Pea asked, turning to look at you.
Your eyes narrowed towards the doors where Cheryl and Toni had just exited. “Probably because it’s not…” Your voice trailed off as your gaze met his and you finally got a glimpse of his face up close and in broad daylight. A flash of his face from last night illuminated by the neon lights of Pop’s crossed your mind, specifically of him grinning as he popped a fry into his mouth. That same desire came flooding back and you knew you had to leave before you did something stupid and make a fool of yourself in front of the Serpent.
“See you Saturday at eight!” Sweet Pea called after you as he watched you walk away, wondering what the weekend had in store.
- - -
You sat in your car, putting the finishing touches on your lipstick and tugging at your dress one more time before taking a deep breath and getting out. After the ambush in the cafetorium by Cheryl and Toni, you’d spent more time than you cared to admit agonizing over your outfit, but in the end it was a no-brainer. You’d worn the dress you felt most confident in, pairing it with strappy heels and light makeup that accentuated your favorite facial features.
Seeing Sweet Pea all dressed up made you stop in your tracks. His version of ‘fancy’ was nice jeans and a button-down shirt with the sleeves rolled up to expose his forearms. His Serpent neck tattoo was on full display, standing out against the stark white of his shirt.
“Hey,” he said, crossing his arms and drawing your attention back to them. “You ready for this?”
“I guess so. There was never really an opportunity to back out now, was there?”
“Those two make it very hard to say no, don’t they?”
You huffed out a laugh, shaking your head. “Don’t I know it.”
Before either of you could say any more, the door swung open and out stepped Cheryl, clad in her signature red. “There you two are! Come on in! Welcome to the new and improved Whyte Wyrm!”
“You look…nice, by the way,” Sweet Pea murmured as he held the door for you, letting you in first.
A shiver of need raced through you at the feeling of his eyes on your body. You paused, looking back at him and meeting his gaze. “Thanks. You, too.”
Your mouth was practically watering as Cheryl set down a filet mignon in front of you. “And this is our bourbon-maple glaze filet mignon.”
“This looks delicious,” you said, smiling at Cheryl. “Give my compliments to the chef.” Toni stood off to the side, the first time you’d ever really seen her look nervous about anything.
“I gotta say, everything has looked fantastic tonight, Toni, and I’m sure the Whyte Wyrm’s reopening is going to be a huge success,” Sweet Pea chimed in, surprising you. You hadn’t really ever heard him give anyone a compliment, but you figured if anyone deserved a compliment from Sweet Pea, it was Toni.
“Thank you,” Toni murmured, nodding stoically.
“Well, you both have exquisite taste buds and despite how much you both have grown and changed over the years, I knew I could count on you-”
“Okay, what is going on with you?” Sweet Pea asked, the two of you exchanging a suspicious look.
Toni laughed awkwardly, trying to drag Cheryl away.
“Yeah, what’s so funny?”
“It’s just that we’ve all known each other for so long…” Cheryl trailed off, realizing her mistake.
“I knew it!” Sweet Pea clapped his hands, more excited than you’d seen him while he was stealing your fries at Pop’s. “I knew it!”
“Knew what?” Toni asked, her turn to look suspicious.
“You and Cheryl are out here trying to get YN and I closer so we can be some weird, messed-up version of the Breakfast Club.”
You let out a groan, shaking your head. “Seriously? Cheryl, you know how I feel about you trying to set me up with people! I thought we agreed you were going to stop doing that after eighth grade.”
Sweet Pea crossed his arms and your attention diverted to his delicious forearms once again. “And that’s why we’re here…this is a scheme within a scheme,” he tutted, giving both Toni and Cheryl a reproachful look.
“Excuse us for wanting to try to get the two of you to see in each other what Cheryl and I see in both of you!”
“This is just like that time Toni and Cheryl left us in the woods for some fucked up bonding experience over our hatred of Weatherbee.”
“Or when they sent us on that futile mission to the abandoned Southside High and we had to hide in the janitor’s closet until they were able to get us out.” Sweet Pea glared at them. “The two of you can be so annoying.”
“So fucking annoying,” you agreed, seething as more memories popped up where you and Sweet Pea had been thrown into situations thanks to Toni and Cheryl’s scheming.
“Do either of you want dessert or not? Cuz if you keep whining, Cheryl and I will just eat it ourselves.”
That shut the two of you up and Toni nodded, satisfied. “Enjoy your filet mignon.”
“We’ll be here,” Sweet Pea said, finally getting a chance to cut into his steak.
“Oh, fuck this is good,” you couldn’t help groaning at the first bite. “I had my doubts about a bourbon maple glaze on steak but this is…wow.”
“Mm-hmm.” Sweet Pea’s hum of approval sent another foreign feeling racing through you.
You tried to think of another conversation topic, but all you could think of was yet another time you and Sweet Pea had been forced together by either Toni’s or Cheryl’s schemes.
Conversation flowed pretty easily after that, and neither of you paid any attention when Toni slipped in and cleared your plates while Cheryl served a single slice of chocolate cake between the two of you.
The cake was delicious, maple syrup infused into the icing, of course.
“Fuck, this chocolate cake…Wow. You’d think Toni would’ve splurged and given us two pieces,” Sweet Pea shook his head as he brought his fork in for another bite.
“I know,” you agreed, nodding. “It’s like you’re stealing my fries all over again.”
“Ha ha,” Sweet Pea deadpanned, making you giggle. “Doesn’t Cheryl have some weird, fucked up saying for this?”
His question took you by surprise, but you knew exactly what he was talking about, rattling off the phrase as if Cheryl herself was saying it. “It’s the most intimate thing two people can do other than…” You stopped short, your eyes widening as you realized the final word.
Your eyes met Sweet Pea’s, his expression mirroring yours as you both finished the word in unison.
“Sex.”
The sounds of your forks hitting the fancy china were the only sounds in the room as the two of you processed what had just happened.
“Are they…?” You started.
Sweet Pea finished. “Trying to set us up?” You nodded and he pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed. “They better not be.”
“They’re really outdone themselves this time. It’s a goddamn scheme within a scheme within a scheme.”
“I mean, I just don’t understand why they think we would make a good couple. It’s so random and strange - no offense.”
You shrugged, truly unoffended even though you’d have been lying if you said you hadn’t been entertaining the idea all night. “None taken.”
“I’m still not convinced there isn’t more to this scheme.”
“God, I hope not,” you said, resisting the urge to run your hands over your face but you didn’t want to ruin your makeup. “There’s only so many schemes I can participate in during a year and I think I’ve already hit my limit.”
Sweet Pea looked around before leaning in, a smirk on his face. “What do you say we get out of here? We’re not technically dining and dashing because this was free, but I could definitely go for some fries and a chocolate milkshake.”
You didn’t have to be asked twice, dabbing your mouth with your napkin before pushing your chair back and heading out, Sweet Pea instinctively taking your hand in his as the two of you made a mad dash for Pop’s.
“Thanks,” the two of you said in unison as Pop Tate set your malt and Sweet Pea’s milkshake down in front of you, placing a large order of fries in the center of the table.
“I don’t know how I’m gonna be able to finish all these fries after the meal we’ve just had,” you said, eyeing the basket as you took a sip of your malt.
“I’m sure we’ll find a way if we sit here long enough.”
Your phone vibrated with an incoming text from Cheryl but you ignored it, turning your phone facedown on the table. Sweet Pea did the same and you couldn’t help feeling secretly thrilled that all his attention was now focused on you.
“So,” you started, picking up a fry, “Fancy a trip down memory lane?”
You didn’t think you’d ever seen the Serpent smile as much as he did tonight, and it was starting to affect you. Before tonight, you never would have thought twice about considering someone like Sweet Pea as boyfriend potential, but there was something about both Toni and Cheryl butting into your dating life to bring Sweet Pea in that was making you reconsider.
You reached for the last fry at the same time he did, your fingers brushing his. You recoiled as butterflies fluttered in your stomach, but it didn’t seem to affect him. “It’s all yours,” Sweet Pea said, gesturing to the solitary fry.
“You sure?” You hesitated. “We could split it.”
Sweet Pea shook his head. “Like I said, it’s yours.”
You couldn’t help the smile that bloomed on your lips as you dunked the last fry into the dregs of your malt. “Maybe there’s more to you than just a Southside Serpent.”
That made him chuckle and duck his head - and in that moment, he had never looked more attractive. “Well, maybe there’s more to you than just Cheryl’s sidekick.”
It was well past midnight when the two of you exited Pop’s, making your way to your separate vehicles.
You stalled at the door to your car, part of you not wanting the night to end. “I…had a lot of fun tonight.”
“Me, too.” Sweet Pea stepped closer and you sucked in a breath. “Maybe, we could do this again without Cheryl and Toni’s interference?”
“I’d like that. Are we counting this as a date?”
“I don’t know. Would you like it to count as a date?”
Not one to shy away from getting what you want, you decided to go for it. “Well, if you were planning to kiss me goodnight if this was a date, then yes, I would like tonight to count as a date.”
Sweet Pea towered over you, his eyes flickering between your eyes and mouth. You could hear your heartbeat in your ears as you stared up at him, waiting for him to make the first move. “I’d never turn down an opportunity to kiss a pretty girl goodnight.”
With that, your lips met in a tender kiss, the promise of something more lingering in the air when you finally pulled away. “Goodnight, YN,” Sweet Pea murmured, his thumb brushing over your cheek as he stepped back. “Get home safe.”
“Goodnight, Sweet Pea.”

"You really don't know how to play?"
"No" You lied, you just wanted to see his reaction, you knew perfectly well how to play.
“I could show you sometime,if you’d like”
“Only if we’re alone” You used the excuse that you were embarrassed and didn’t want anyone to see you play. You agreed to meet up after the bar closed, thankfully Toni was closing that night so she let you in before she left.
He quickly set everything up before handing you a cue.
“Why don’t you try on your own?” He asked and you hit the white ball causing all the others to scatter, but none of them landed in the holes. You made sure your position was wrong just so he would correct you,he put his hand on top of yours. “You have to lean down a bit more” He maneuvered your body into the right position, all you wanted to do was just turn around and kiss him but instead you just pushed your ass against him,and since he was practically on top of you both of you felt every movement. “If you keep moving like that you’re gonna regret it”
“Will I?” You teased him, pushing against him harder, laughing. “I highly doubt that” You finally turned and kissed him.
“Was this your plan to get me here alone?”
“Please as if you don’t love this” You laughed, your hands moved to pull him in by his belt. You kissed him again as you moved your hands under his shirt. He quickly took off his jacket along with his shirt. In seconds he had you bent over the pool table, pounding into you as he kissed down your neck.
“Told you,you’d regret this”
“No,I don’t”

I got my driver's license last week Just like we always talked about 'Cause you were so excited for me To finally drive up to your house
you were beyond ecstatic. finally, you had your own freedom- a drivers license! you called your best friend, toni, to tell her the good news. she told you to go to pops chock’lit shoppe to celebrate, the place with the best milkshakes in all of america- or so you liked to believe.
you got to your destination and walked inside ready for a fun, but relaxing evening with your best friend. one that you had needed for a while. however when you walked inside there was a loud bang and people shouting ‘surprise’. shocked, you started laughing and ran to toni. of course, you were happy to see your serpent family celebrating a huge milestone in your life, but you were looking for the person who you had been missing the most. someone who was so excited for you to get your license so you could drive to his house instead of walk at night- sweet pea. sadly, you knew he wouldn’t be there. you had broken up two weeks ago and he would be with the, well what you serpents called the north side queen, josie mccoy.
after the party, that lasted way too long for your liking, you drove along the south side of riverdale. you claimed that you just wanted to get of feel of the car you had already been driving even before you were legally allowed to, but in reality, you wanted to see if he was home and if he was, was she with him. the answer to both of those questions happened to be yes, making your heart break on a day that it was supposed to make it rejoice.
But today I drove through the suburbs Crying 'cause you weren't around
a week had passed since you got your license and truly you were so thankful for being able to drive. you could clear your head, go to parties, have car sleepovers, which happened more often than many believed, and now that school had started- drive to school. since it was the start of a new school year meant you could meet new people and get your mind off of sweet pea, which was impossible to do. since your circle ran so closely.
every time the serpents were together, josie was always there with him. even in the most important and secretive meetings, she was there and no one seemed to care. things were worse at school, though. sweet pea no longer sat with you and your friends and almost every time you turned a corner, there they were all over each other. he was never this touchy with you and that hurt the worst. what did she have? ‘everything.’ you thought.
you, along with toni, fangs, cheryl, betty, archie, jughead, and veronica, sat in the commons area, talking and laughing. you wanted to laugh and have fun, but you just stared out the window at the two unlikely lovers.
“earth to y/n,” fangs, one of your best friends snapped his fingers in front of your face.
you shook your head, “sorry.”
“what’re you thinking about?” he furrowed his eyebrows.
“how are you guys so okay with this,” you pointed to sweet pea and josie, “i mean he doesn’t even talk to you guys when i’m around. how are you not hurting?” everyone turned to you, but fangs and toni looked at the ground.
“of course it hurts, but we weren’t involved with SP like you were, we didn’t have that connection with him, babe. however, that doesn’t mean i wouldn’t love to see them break up.” toni sighed. tears brimmed your eyes as you saw them laugh, like throwing their heads back type of laugh.
you picked up your stuff abruptly, accidentally hitting the window hard, “i just remembered that i have to go.”
everyone looked at you with confusion, except for sweet pea who looked a little bit guilty, but that expression didn’t last long.
getting into your car, you started to scream and cry. you let everything out. finally, you decided to go to yours and sweet pea’s favorite- scratch that, used to be favorite- spot. neither of you had been there since the breakup. it was on the north side of riverdale, in the woods. you two went there because to you, it felt like you guys didn’t belong to the wrong side of the tracks.
there was a little fort you guys built that had blankets, pillows, and a cooler. everything was in the same place, more run down and messy, but almost nothing had changed. it reflected you perfectly- broken with signs of him left around. the blankets and pillows reeked but you didn’t care. you snuggled into them, laying in the woods of the riverdale suburbs and cried. you cried until you feel asleep, your mind drifting into another memory.
And you're probably with that one girl Who always made me doubt She's so much better than me She's everything I'm insecure about
a meeting had been called at the whyte wyrm. you were dreading it but only because you were dreading seeing sweet pea and josie, but they never showed up. you hated that, which was weird. you thought that if they weren’t around you’d feel better, but you didn’t because at least when they were there you could see what was happening. you knew what they were doing, where they were and whatnot, but they were gone, you didn’t know anything now. which scared you more than seeing them together.
honestly, you weren’t surprised about him breaking up with you and going to her, you knew it was only a matter of time. she had clear skin, lived on the north side, could drive months before you could, she was taller, her hair was much prettier and fuller than yours, hell she could sing, and her body. her body was crafted by aphrodite herself. everything about her was desirable. and although you were trying to convince yourself that you were surprised, you weren't.
Yeah, today I drove through the south side 'Cause how could I ever love someone else?
today was the day of a bonfire. you had no idea why the serpents were throwing one, but they really didn’t need a reason. 4 weeks, 4 days, 19 hours, 10 minutes, and 50 seconds, that was how long you two had been broken up. you should’ve been over him by now.
“hey topaz, fogarty, y’all wanna get plastered?” you raised a cocky smile. this was the first thing you had said since you got there. the two looked at you, knowing this would be a bad idea, but you needed it.
“you’re so on, y/l/n!” Fangs jumped up and ran to get beers.
toni scooted closer to you and grabbed your hand, “hey, love, are you sure this is a good idea?”
“toni, it’s been almost 5 weeks, i should be over him!”
‘y/n, girl, you guys dated for more than two years, you shouldn’t be over him, not even close.” you shrugged her hand off.
“please, t, let me do this, i need this. plus it won’t take me long to get drunk, i am a lightweight!” you both laughed as fangs came back, arms full of beer.
“you ready, serpent goddess?” he eyed you.
toni looked at him with a lost look, “did you just call her ‘serpent goddess’?”
“uh yeah. what do your ears not work? she is the daughter of two of the most respected serpents and her family has been in the serpents the longest- she has a pure serpent bloodline.”
you smiled, “okaaay, fangs, i like that. prepare to lose to the serpent goddess.” you all laughed. unbeknownst to you, a dark-haired boy was looking at his old friends missing them, but mainly looking at you, wishing you could be friends again.
a few hours later and 5 beers down, you were drunk off your ass. so badly that you were flirting with almost everyone you saw. it was all fun and games until someone grabbed your butt.
“woah,” you shook your head looking around to see who did that.
“sorry, princess, ya jus look too good to not talk ta,” a random serpent smiled with ugly crooked teeth.
“um, don‘t, please.” you whispered to the ground.
“wha was that, ya’re gon have ta speak up,” he lifted your face.
“lea-”
“hey! you heard her, she said leave.” you were cut off by him. something you never expected. your eyes grew wide.
“wha’d ya say boy?”
“i said leave her alone, it’s not that hard.” by now everyone had stopped talking to look at what was unraveling before their eyes. FP started making his way to the center.
“what is going on?” the big man yelled.
“nothin’." the crooked smiled man snarled.
“that’s what i thought, y’all go back to doing what you were.” FP yelled to the crowd, making them disperse leaving the two of you alone in the middle.
“are you okay, y/n/n?” sweet pea went to grab your arm.
“i’m fine.” you dead panned, jerking your am away. he lifted his arms in surrender and walked away. you turned around wondering why he came to your rescue, of course you were thankful for that, but he hadn’t made a move to talk to you since the breakup.
And I know we weren't perfect but I've never felt this way for no one And I just can't imagine how you could be so okay now that I'm gone Guess you didn't mean what you wrote in that song about me 'Cause you said forever now I drive alone past your street
“shut up, sweet pea! you annoy the hell out of me!” you screamed at him.
“i annoy you? really? dude, imagine what it’s like to be with you! you are so whining all the time! that’s all you ever do! bro i am so tired of it.” he slammed his fist into the table. you flinched back, “did you just flinch? is that what you think of me, y/n? that i would hit you?”
“what- no- baby-”
“ya’know maybe we do need to break up. i think that’d be for the best.”
“what? no sweets, please-”
“leave. you can get your stuff tomorrow.” he faced the opposite direction. you were both crying, and despite your whole body screaming at you to run to him and stay, you turned around and left. something neither of you expected. something else that surprised you both was the fact that he didn’t run after you.
it had been a bad day, a really bad day. on top of the breakup, your parents were going through a rough patch. your dad would go on these drinking sprees. they never lasted more than 2 weeks, but what he did during those two weeks, only he knew, and he claimed he was too drunk to remember anything so you never knew what he did.
sweet pea normally helped you when your dad went wild. no one else knew, you didn’t want people to feel bad for you or think badly of your parents. you were, like fangs put it, the serpent goddess. you were one of the only people who had married parents that seemed to love each other, you lived in a house- not anything like the north side but a house nonetheless, your grades were exceptional and you were sitting in the top 5 of your class. everything on the outside made it seem like you were the ‘perfect’ south side girl. so there was no way anyone else could know.
you had just gotten home from school to find your dad gone and your mom bawling on the couch, which sucked. there was no way you could deal with that mess at the moment. this made the already terrible day, worse. but at least home had your bed and no one could pick on you like everyone at school had decided to do today. especially cheryl. although you were toni’s best friend, that never stopped the red head from treating you like scum.
finally you were in your room, able to sleep but you noticed crumbled up paper on your floor. your room was a mess, but this seemed out of place, mainly because you hadn’t seen it there before. confused, you started to unravel it when you saw the words, ‘my girl’. of course sweet pea copied it from the actual song, but he did because he knew how much you loved both the movie and song.
you had made up your mind, seeing him was your best option. you needed to know why he didn’t run after you when you broke up and why he saved you at the bonfire. getting in the car you kept on talking yourself up and saying that he wanted to talk too. so you drove to his house. thankfully, josie wasn’t there. you walked up to the door, then chickened out. no you couldn’t do that, it was too hard. however, it was like the universe wanted to laugh in your face, sweet pea opened the door.
“y/n/n?” he asked.
“sweet pea, hey.”
“what’re you doing here?”
you looked around, wondering what to do with your hands because they suddenly felt awkward and sweaty, “i shouldn’t have come, you’re probably on your way to see josie and i don’t want to keep you.” you turned around.
“hey, y/n, wait.”
“yes?” hope.
“please don’t, come here i mean. it’s rough for the both of us. and i know this has been really hard for you, so spare us both the pain.” and it was gone.
“are you serious right now? you’re hurting? sure.”
sweet pea rolled his eyes, “i know it doesn’t look like it, but i am.”
“are you sure,” you scoffed, “ because you seem to be real happy.”
“hey-”
“also why the hell did you get so protective of me at the bonfire?”
“because you were making a fool of yourself!”
tears rolled down your face and in the quietest voice, you said, “how are you so okay? because i’m not.”
“y/n/n-”
“don’t sweet pea! don’t call me that! i’m so sorry. i-i’m gonna go now.”
And all my friends are tired Of hearing how much I miss you but I kinda feel sorry for them 'Cause they'll never know you the way that I do
“y/n, get up,” toni yelled through the window in your room. it was sunday, days after you tried to confront sweet pea. you didn’t leave your room bed when someone called, you wouldn’t let someone in your room. it had pissed your mom off. when your dad was going through his phase, you were her rock, but now both you and your father were down in rabbit holes and she didn’t know how to fix it.
“no,” you croaked, too quiet, but toni still responded.
“you have to get up one day,” the pink-haired girl groaned.
“come on girl, lets go get milkshakes,” fangs yelled, too loud.
toni audibly hit his arm, “shut up dufus, she can hear you just fine.”
you just sighed, you hadn’t been talking or moving for days so your body and throat ached, but you could ignore the pain- it was a super power that everyone in riverdale possessed. finally you had noticed silence and prayed that it would stay that way, you weren’t ready to see people, but there your friends were kneeling before your bed with faces of pity. you didn’t even hear them come in, too engrosed in your thoughts.
you shook your head, avoiding eye contact with them, looking through them like they were glass. then the tears came again. you were surprised that you still had the water left in your body to cry. you literally hadn’t moved from the position you were in since you got in it. the bed fit around you perfectly, like it was engulfing you, whispering, “stay, i won’t hurt you. stay.” so you stayed.
crying and mourning the broken relationship 24/7 made you feel like your friends would get tired of you. you believed that soon enough they would leave you and honestly, you were thankful. the faster they left, the more you could hurt and get over it. right now was the perfect time to leave. yet, there was still a tiny part that had hoped they’d be with you every moment. luckily it was the latter.
taking a deep breath in, you whispered, “please don’t leave me.” your mouth betrayed your mind, but you didn’t care, you needed them with you.
Yeah, today I drove through the suburbs And pictured I was driving home to you
“hi baby! i’m home!” you shouted to your soon-to-be husband.
sweet pea came running around the corner to pick you up, “i have missed you so much, did you know that?”
smiling, you responded,  “baby you are the definition of ‘golden retriever boyfriend’. i loved you.”
“i love you, too, pretty girl,” his expression turned serious, “seriously, everyday i see you a-and your beauty just amazes me. i truly am so lucky. some would even say, the luckiest man in the world.”
“you are too good to me, mr. sweet pea.”
he licked your face, becoming playful again, “i know, mrs. sweet pea.”
“eww,” you tried to wiggle from his grip, “this is what i mean by golden retriever boyfriend, you’re a dog!”
“oh baby girl, i can show you dog,” he winked. you made a disgusted face.
“absolutely not.” you both laughed.
“i can’t wait until you come home to me everyday,” he whispered, dragging you to the couch.
confused, you said, “i already do.”
“no, no, i mean like- when we’re married and we can leave this place and move to a beautiful city. a real home.”
“sweet pea, i don’t care where we go. you are my home.”
Red lights Stop signs I still see your face In the white cars Front yards
Can't drive past the places We used to Go to 'Cause I still fucking love you, babe
it felt like you’d hit every single red light on the way home from school. which of course it wasn’t that many, but sitting in your car felt like forever. you looked out the window to see a white bmw. this reminded you of sweet pea, who told you how it was his favorite car and that he wanted to buy one someday. then you saw his face, in the driver's side of the car. the license plate read, ‘SerPent’. clever. of course, next to him was the girl you wanted so badly to hate, and kind of did- josie mccoy.
he parked and ran over to her door, opening it and bowing, like a knight. something he never cared to do for you. she had a cute little picnic basket hanging on one of her arms and a blanket on the other. he grabbed the blanket and sat it down on the beautiful green grass, making you realize it was the front of josie’s house. her house was huge, definitely more than two stories. it was white all around with those roman columns supporting the balcony on the second floor. it amazed you and no doubt amazed him, too.
the curly-haired girl looked at you and smiled, giving a little wave. you just nodded your head, and drove away when the light finally turned green. you went to the old drive-in movie that closed down a while back. this was the first place you ever had sex. it was the best night of your life. opening up to sweet pea about your non-existent sex life took months, so when you were redy to have sex with him, he was slow and sweet- passionate. you were thankful it closed down because him sharing the only thing that the two of you had left with someone would kill you. that was your experience with him. yours.
Sidewalks We crossed I still hear your voice In the traffic We're laughing Over all the noise God, I'm so blue Know we're through But I still fucking love you, babe
“baaaaaabyyyyy,” sweet pea cried out. you two were in toni’s truck getting back from a date in greendale, currently stuck in traffic. “baby please look at me.”
you ignored him and looked out at the window. you were pissed at him for getting into another fight before you left the restaraunt.
“y/n, look, baby, i truly am sorry-”
“save it, sweet pea,” you deadpanned. of course, right when you wanted to be angry, your favorite song turned on. sweet pea smiled and turned the volume up way too loud. then, in an effort to make you laugh, he started belting out the words, messing up multiple times.
‘haha! see, y/n/n, i see you smiling over there!”
“shut up, whore,” you laughed. he tickled your sides as you begged for him to stop. finally, he did.
“hey, but in all seriousness, i am sorry, but i swear i’ve been working on it.”
“i know, my love, and i’m so proud of you,” you kissed his cheek.
then he grabbed your chin, pulling you back to kiss his lips, “i love you, pretty girl.”
“i love you, too.”
'Cause you said forever now I drive alone past your street Yeah, you said forever now I drive alone past your street
 father pea <3:
‘foreverrrrrr, i promise. rat’
you looked at your messages with sweet pea. the last text between you too in 7 weeks. you let out a chuckle at his name. remembering how he asked you to him daddy, but you couldn’t do it without laughing, thinking about saying, ‘ father pea’ instead.
“i love you, too. rat,” you cried, in a small voice, “forever.”

500 words, raider!Joel x f!reader
WARNINGS, A/N: I8+ PWP oral f receiving. Pic is for mood; reader has no physical description including size but he can pick sweet pea up. Ty gracie for the pic 🖤
"Still ain't dressed?" He grumbles and his massive hands come to your back as you step onto his boots.
"Do we have to go anywhere?" Your hands rest on his shoulders.
He looks at your mouth then your chest and takes in a breath as he glances up at the ceiling. He sighs and his hands slide down. He grabs your ass with both hands, then you jump up and wrap your legs around him. He grunts as he catches you and shifts your weight to rest your crotch on his bulge and you put your arms around his neck. He walks you to the bed and lays you down so your hips are on the edge.
"Do we gotta go anywhere," he mutters to himself as he kneels between your legs and hikes up your dress. He takes a deep breath through his nose and brings his face between your thighs.
He lazily fondles your breasts with both hands and noses at your clit through your panties. He smells what he's after and his hunger takes over. He kisses at your cunt through the cotton, slips his tongue in through the crotch, then backs up to pull your panties down.
"Goddamn " he murmurs when he sees you dripping onto the bed. He laps it up, then when his mouth covers your clit you moan and his eyes flicker up to you. He leaves one hand on your breast and brings the other to your mound, thumbing your clit as he eats you like he couldn't stop if he wanted to, moaning and grunting into your cunt. You feel it building quickly. He lightens his grip on your breast while intensifying the work of his tongue. Your nipple hardens almost painfully at his feather light touch, then he palms your breast again. You whimper his name and slide your fingers into his hair. He looks up at you, mouth and nose still buried between your legs.
"like that," you whine. He keeps doing what he's doing and you whimper as you approach the edge. He works his thumb on your clit and his nose nudges you while his mouth greedily consumes what's his. He moans into you and the vibration sends you. "Joel, j-ohhhh," you sigh and your hips lift into his mouth with each burst of pleasure. You pant as he releases his mouth and gives you the hint of a smile.
Someone knocks. Joel wipes his mouth off and mutters, "Yeah, we gotta go somewhere," as he pulls your panties back on. Then he yells, "BE RIGHT THERE," and stands up with a groan. He adjusts himself and sighs, "fuck," under his breath.
"Take your time," Carter yells.
Joel unlocks the door and says, "just a sec," then turns back around without looking. Carter doesn't come in. Joel picks up your shoes from near the door. He brings them back to you, putting them by your feet. He kneels down to put them on you and you're like "okay okay, I can do it."

this is a good one for Carter's crack fic

Why do fic writers never actually explore abortion as an option. Like the mc doesn't want a child, isn't ready for it and the father is basically a stranger but they just think about abortion in passing but then mc puts her hand to her stomach and imagines the feeling of the fluttering of new life beginning (7 hours pregnant) like whomp whomp. I find it so annoying. It's not even that abortion demonised in the writing, but keeping a child you don't want, in the WORST circumstances, is so overly romanticized, I think abortion being considered for like 3 seconds is just a front too, it's a copout. I know people have their own beliefs but instead of making the mc an annoying willing to be a single mom girl boss how about challenging yourselves and writing about abortion, the mental battle, the recovery, the relationship between two people after something like that happens. Idk I'm just kinda annoyed and people can write and believe whatever they want I just feel how I feel.

Boyfriend
Sweet Pea and Y/N have been seeing each other in secret for some time but as a new serpent enters the playing field, tempers flare but is it all what if seems?
-----------------------------------------------------
SP POV
"So when are you guys gonna stop pretending it's just sex and actually just sign the marriage licence, it's been like 7 months which is basically decades in the Serpents"
The water I gulped down nearly took deathly grip at Tonis comment.
"N-o no no" I managed to choke out between rapid taps to the back from Fangs.
"Toni please don't kill the man, I'm sure YN wouldn't like if you bumped off her play thing" Fangs quipped while watching the colour return back to my face.
"I'm not her play thing, if anything she's mine"
"And who exactly could you be talking about like that" of course she's going to join the conversation at the most inconvenient time. I wish the water had just finished me off.
"Y/N, we were just messing with him"
"Ah yes Toni because I love when my sex life is the topic of conversation amongst my friends, although I suppose you've nothing going on in your own lives" she dropped your tray next to me before sliding in across.
"And how is Cheryl?" you added, Toni sunk down on the seat with a groan.
"And Kevin?" sending Fangs sliding too, leaving me grinning into my soup. I caught her hand beneath the table as the other two tried to take back hold of their pride. We shouldn't have even been talking about this so openly in school, I'm really not trying to put a target on my back.
"If you do marry eachother I'll officiate"
"That's very nice Fangs but don't you need to be able to read to do that?" Fangs caught his chest in feign hurt at Y/Ns joking tone. We shouldn't be talking about this, they know I'd never be allowed to marry her, I can't even openly date her.
As if on que, Y/N dropped my hand quickly to place both in front of her tray, her eyes following the newest recruit to the Serpents. Jughead Jones. Now there's the only person her father would let her marry, another serpent legacy.
"Hey guys"
"Hey Jughead!" She responded very much too excited to him in my opinion.
"Y/N, I'm heading to Pop' wanna come? I know you really want to try it" how could he know what she wants? I'm what she wants. Right?
"Sure, see you later guys" y/n smiled and I could feel my other best friends shuffle awkwardly in their seats as y/n then strutted off with her future husband.
"SP-"
"Don't" I silenced Toni's saddening tone with a raised hand, I don't need their pitty.
~ 3rd Person
Over the next few weeks you spent more and more time around Jughead. Your father approved massively of this budding relationship, not going unnoticed by Sweet Pea or the rest of your friends. You and Jughead would go on jobs together, meet up before and after meetings together and just in general be together. It was becoming more and more difficult for Sweet Pea to be around and he began to retreat into himself.
~
5 weeks later - 3rd Person
Sweet Pea sprawled out across the tattered sofa of his very own trailer. Trying to take his mind of you and Jughead, he flicked through tv channels, then the books in his reach before finally landing on reading his history book absentmindedly. His eyes eventually weighing more than the book and closing. Dreams of you in eggshell coloured dresses waltzing up a flower covered aisle to meet a groom with a blurry face but a very prominent crown beanie splashed across his mind. The image jolted him from his sleep, crashing him to the floor.
Sweet pea rubbed his face with the blanket thrown across him, trying to remove the image from his thoughts. The soft glow from his ajar bedroom door across the darkened living room caught his eye. His hands ran down the blanket that was not there when he drifted off. Your hushed voice eventually met his ears from the bedroom, his senses waking one by one. He misses you breaking into his trailer nightly, the last time having been a few weeks ago.
Sweet Peas Pov
Collecting myself from the floor I snuck over to the door where I could accidentally on purpose hear her speak more clearly on the phone.
"Yeah there's just no future there - yeah - I really like being around him but what's the point when I don't want to continue - yeah yeah - I don't want any more feelings to grow - mmm - I just have to be with him to get where I need to go - yeah you're right- talk later love you Sis - bye - bye - bye" oh god it's happening, the end, she's ending it with me. I don't care if she's using me, just as long as she's with me. Right?
I heard her jump up from mattress. Crap crap crap. I went to scramble back to the sofa, sliding along the laminate in the blanket she had wrapped on me, flying straight back onto the floor. Ugh god my head. As I blinked her shape standing over me came into focus, I gave a small nervous laugh.
"Sweets, are you having fun down there?" She laughed offering a hand and instantly regretting it as I pulled her down on top of me.
"Now I am" I rolled her into the blanket and deep into my chest, squeezing as if letting go would mean she's gone forever. The closest we'd been in awhile.
"Sweet - Pea - You're - Crushing - Me" she attempted through my chest and began go gently push from me. It's already happening. She rolled her head up and gently kissed my cheek and I released my grip.
"Why are you on the floor"
"Why are you in my house?"
"Touché" she smiled before sitting up to retrieve her buzzing phone from her pocket.
"Who's are you giggling at?" I hate myself for asking but seeing her smile at her phone the way she smiles at me gave me reason.
"It's just something Jughead said -" ugh god why why why "- and I don't giggle" she gently hit me into my chest as I rolled from her and then up off the floor. I crossed the room towards the fridge where I rooted around.
"He was telling me about the book he's writing over lunch today, he's really got something for making up elaborate plans, we actually decided to -"
"We?" I almost growled at her as I pulled a beer from the fridge and turned to her disapproving stares. I know she doesn't like when I drink on week days, we were brought up in bar culture and she hates bringing it home with her. I'm not even sure she'd call me home anymore.
"Sweet pea don't get like that over Jughead, you like him I thought" she moved towards me in the kitchen, the blanket drapped over her still. I leaned on the fridge across from her and watched her prop herself up onto the countertop, her phone now next to her.
"Y/N, he rocks up into our school, parades around, Mr. Prince of the Serpents, takes you from me all the time so we can never have any alone time together and then -"
"Ah so that's what this is about, you miss the sex" she seemed to toy but I definitely wasn't in the mood to joke.
"No! Well yeah but that's not all I miss, this is the most we've talked in over a month and it's still about him!"
"Sweet Pea don't get angry at me!" She slid from the blanket and the counter. Too late, I was very much very angry which was only increased when her phone lit up, with the one word I'd never heard her use before, boyfriend.
"What the fuck?!" I lunged for it, almost forgetting my height, giving y/n a bit of a fright, something I had never done. Seems to be a day of firsts for everyone. Boyfriend?! Boyfriend?! She tried to reach for the ringing phone, this time I didn't forget my height, answering the phone and hoping I didn't hear the person I knew was on the other head.
"Hey y/n/n, I'll meet you at the usual spo-" I cut Jones off before he could finish, hurling the phone at the cabinets. This time I gave y/n a very noticeable fright as the phone screen came seperate from the motherboard.
"Sweet Pea!! Calm down! You're acting like a raving lunatic, let me explain!" She shouted back, more firsts from her, she had never raised her voice at me before but I suppose I started it. No she did. Jones did. I'm gonna kill him.
"Explain what?! What's there to explain Y/N/N" I used the name he called her like the curse word it was to me.
"Me and you have been seeing each other for like almost 9 months and that has meant something to me, clearly not so much to you" okay Sweet Pea that was probably a bit harsh. I breathed out deeply, trying to release any amount of pressure from chest. She moved from the kitchen and into the bedroom, returning again and putting on her jacket. Damn.
"You have no idea the kind of pressure I'm under Sweet Pea" she almost bit at me as she zipped herself up.
"Yeah I'm sure there's a lot of pressure straddling Jones" I was shocked I said that, she was shocked I said that. I think I don't even believe what I said but then again, he's her boyfriend. Boyfriend?! She's never called me that, would never call me that. This thought pushed the regret for what I said from me and replaced it back with anger.
"Oh whatever Sweet Pea, talk to me when you recover from the concussion you clearly got from the fall" She flew open the trailer door and stormed out into the cold night. I slid down the fridge, her smashed up phone alongside me. Nice one Pea, you really messed up this time..... except she messed up too, she's dating Jones and didn't tell me. She's dating Jones and didn't tell me. She's dating Jones and didn't tell me. I could feel my neck rise again with anger as I stood and went to the front door. I need to pay the serpent prince a visit.

Serpent-Cide (3/?)
Tumblr media
(Part One|Part Two|Part Three|TBA|)
(Unedited) (Switches POV’s a lot in this chapter, Sweet Pea is a little shit, Sweet Pea is big boy 6’3 and I won't let y'all forget that😈, Reader is having a moment y'all.)
Sweet Pea was a mess.
I mean that in a bad way, not the cute fun way that most people say it when talking about someone.
I mean he was a mess, a walking nightmare and possibly a live train wreck. Being forced to show him around was one of the worst things that could have happened to me. I had way better things to do then stay with him. At this point it was almost like babysitting. If babysitting included walking around school with a MAN, not a boy, a man who was bigger then half the student body.
Not only was he huge but he also had a mouth on him. While most of the time he was quiet, the other half he was not. He chose to quietly pick and mess with anyone and anything he chose. If something caught his eye at just the right time, he was going of his way to mess with it. If it was a person, he was digging at them. Harassing them for a moment before pulling away and walking off.
Laughing and snickering at something. It was very apparent that he knew when to shut his mouth, and sometimes he didn't which dug into my nerves.
Just like his voice, his verbal altercations were deep and quick. His comebacks were sharp and were always on the tip of his tongue. He knew how to get on someone's bad side at the drop of a hat. I felt like I was extremely lucky because he didn't get himself into too much shit.
He loomed over me as we walked the halls. At first I didn't really understand what he was doing. I thought he would walk next to me to try and show some kind of dominance, like he didn't need me to help him around the school. His outburst earlier that day made me feel like he would want to one-up me, in his own way. Maybe he would even jump ahead of me and try to get to his class quicker. That wasn't the case as we walked to our first period.
He decided he was going to try and walk behind me the whole way there.
Almost trying to ride my ass the whole time. I swear he almost stepped on the back of my shoes a few times. I tried my best not to look back at him, feeling like that might piss him off or earn me some other kind of outlash like before. The whole time I could feel his presence behind me. It felt like pin pricks along my back which made me twitch a little in my step. Was he doing it on purpose I had no idea. But it was slowly rubbing me the wrong way. I
didn't know how long I could take it.
“So when's lunch? I'm already starting to get bored of this place.” Sweet Pea's voice echoed from behind me as he kicked at my seat.
I could feel my teeth grind in the back of my mouth.
We were about three periods at this point. I could tell he was already starting to lose what little focus he had. Most people probably couldn't tell if not for his loud complaining. Most people would see it as him complaining, to me he was just whining. That's all he had done all three classes, it didn't help that he kept trying to sit as close to me as possible.
I had no idea why seeing as all he did was whine.
I notice very quickly his little quirks, the ones that showed as he started to fall down the hole of boredom.
The way his foot would tap ever so slightly, the jiggle of his leg. He would pick at his knuckles to the point he had small scratches, barely drawing blood. They were pinkish and red by the end of second period. I honestly wondered if he even noticed it, if he felt his nails dig into his own skin. I was a little surprised when I watched his dig his nails into the set of dog tags he wears around his neck.
At some point I was scared he was going to try and put them in his mouth like a child. Luckily he didn't and only rubbed his nails and fingertips along the old metal plates.
Suddenly I heard a loud sound of popping from behind me. I felt my eyes twitch.
He was popping his knuckles.
I felt my face grow a little flushed. Although I had noticed the marks on his knuckles, I hadn't really taken a moment to look at his hands very well. I wonder what they looked like. I could only imagine they matched his body. Large and stronger to match his towering frame. He wasn't overly bulky but more so tall and thick muscles.
Now I felt even worse, why was I trying to think about his possible muscles under that stupid black t-shirt and serpent jacket.
I almost snapped the poor pencil in my hand.
“Helllloooo??” his voice boomed.
“When the bell rings, God can you shut up for five minutes.” I hissed, not even trying to turn around to look at him. I could feel his eyes burning into the back of my skull at this point. I could almost feel the way his foot slowly came to a stop. The movement dying down in seconds. I felt him before I could hear him. The breathing on my neck, right by my ear.
“So is the food here good or it just as shitty as Southside High-”
The sound of the shrill bell rang through the class. He ever so slightly pulled back. Leaving only warm breath fanning over my ear for a few seconds. Students hurried to grab their things and rush out of the cramped classroom. The teacher tried her best to slow them down but failed. Most of them piled out of the room, talking loudly and pushing each other to leave.
Quickly I packed my stuff away in my bag before turning around to find Sweet Pea already ready to go. His dark eyes lazily watch me as I shove my bag up onto my shoulder. We stare at each other for a good minute, until I realize he's waiting for me to walk in front of him.
Walking out of the room and make our way down to the lunch room. Sweet Pea is hot on my trail the whole time.
The hallway was usually one of the worst parts of my day as I would have to wade through the multiple crowds. Today seems a little better, most likely due to Sweet Pea’s presence. People slowly make way for him as he walks closer to me. For once I don't mind the way he sticks close to my back. It's almost like the whole hallway parts just for him.
“They like this every day or is it just because it's me?” he asks as we move passed the sea of judgmental eyes. The sudden urge to crack a joke came up but soon stopped.
“I wish. Maybe if they always acted like this I wouldn't hate coming down this hallway.” I wanted to tell him the truth. Going down this hallway every day was excruciating most of the time. If you were lucky no one would notice you, meaning you could get around everyone. Most days you were stuck or caught by some of the jocks or maybe one of the cheerleaders.
Sometimes it was just shoves and pushes. Other times it was getting your books or bag thrown in a garbage can on a whim.
Worst even, getting beat on by someone bigger than you for a laugh.
I stopped at that you thought as we made our way into to lunch room. It was packed with both the old and new students trying to get in line to get food. Almost all the tables were completely filled. My eyes were trained on the crowd of students as we both stood in line. Trying to spot the tale tale top of a special beanie. Not seeing it I could only guess that Jughead had made his way outside to grab a table.
The line for food slowly started to go down as the minutes ticked by. Sweet Pea was next to me as we grabbed our lunches. He stuffed his plate full of just about everything the lunch line was offering. I didn't question it with how big the guy was. His height factor reflects how much he needs to keep up with his growth.
We made our way out of the lone with no issue and walked outside towards some of the outdoor tables.
Breathing a sigh of relief I spotted Jughead and his little group. No surprise that none of the original vroho was sitting at the table with him, just Tori and Fang. Sweet Pea passed me, slamming his tray down next to Fang with a loud crash. Fang flinched a little which made Sweet Pea laugh and slap him on the shoulder hard, making him rock a little. Both of them chuckled as Sweet Pea finally sat down. Jughead looked at the two before turning his gaze to me.
I gave a small wave before turning around and heading inside.
The quiet uncrowded library was calling my name.
—————————
Sweet Pea didn't really know what to think about Reader at first.
For a split second, he felt just a little bad about yelling at her when they first met. But walking into that school was hard, being surrounded by northsiders who wanted all of them dead. It didn't even matter if they were serpents or not they were still southsiders. They where all still on the northsiders shit list in his mind.
Maybe that's why when she approached Jughead he got defensive.
He had forgotten that Jughead went to school here, not everyone had a issue with him. Maybe the pack of serpents, but not once loved Jughead.
In that moment it didn't matter that she was smaller, chubbier and maybe just a little cute. She was still a northsider deciding to wall up to them. Her stance was lazy as she stood in front of Jughead, moments passed and he just snapped. Getting into her face and calling her out.
When she snapped right back at him he felt his heart jump.
_____________________________________
“Shes not coming over here is she?” Sweet Pea remarked as he looked to Jughead.
The girl never made her way over to them, he turned a little to watch her walk away and back into the school. His eyes briefly watched her figure disappear behind the large lunchroom doors. He turned back to the table to find Jugheas still gazing back at the doors, his eyes squinted.
“Reader would rather…..Reader is in her own little world of strange.” he words were bland and almost emotionless. That caused one of the boys eyebrows to raise. He stuffed a fry in his mouth as Fang replied “ Im getting the feeling she doesn't like us that much? It's not like I'm shocked or anything, I'm just stating the obvious here.” he laughs. Toni rolls her eyes at him and sits back a little.
Sweet Pea looked up at him as he chewed his food, with a full mouth he said “So she's a weirdo? Didn't know northsiders had them too, kinda figured you guys would weed them out or something.” he scooped up a fat glob of ketchup with his fries. Toni shrugged “ Dont want to sound like a downer but I agree with Sweets on this.” Fang nodded along side her. Jughead let out a small sigh. His eyes fully coming back into focus with them.
“Listen Reader just has her own thing going on. She's one of the only people I know in this school that genuinely doesn't like being around people, in others business for that matter. She doesn't like messing with people so long as they don't mess with her. She's crafty too, I'll tell you that.
Toni raised a brow and smirked, she poked the boy in his side.
“Does Jug have a little crush??” she almost giggled a little to go along with her sarcastic statement.
Jughead rolled his eyes “On Reader? No way, that would involve her letting me get in her space- shit even taking her time of day. I don't think she's ever let anyone even think about having a crush on her. You would actually have to know her to do all that.” he grimaced a little. Thinking about all the times the chubby girl had ditched him, snuck away from him, or straight up blew him off to go do something else.
Multiple times he asked for her help with paper while in the library together. If he asked to do them with her she refused, the next day she would just bring him a fully edited paper before wandering back off to who knows where. She was hardly ever up front and would rather stay in the shadows. Never to be looked upon, never asked to be anyone life lifeline.
“That's funny seeing as I've been up her ass all day during classes.” Sweet Pea smirked. He knew he was getting on the girl's nerves. He was actually enjoying it a little. Scratching at his neck a little he found Jughead just staring at him. Eyes were slightly wide as if he was in some kind of disbelief. Something inside him felt good to see the uptight guy so silently stunned.
“I thought I told you not to mess with her.”
“I did! Kinda? I couldn't help but mess with her just a little bit okay? Honestly I feel like you overdoing it when talking about her. I have only been around her for like half the day and she hasn't acted like anything you saying. Is she Moody? Oh yeah definitely. But is she so fidgety that she runs away at the slight poke? Nah. She is a pushover.” he rolled his eyes at the newest serpent. The or eyes meet for a short period of time.
Jughead was ever so slightly surprised at the sudden turn of events.
Reader was not a pushover by any means.
“All she did was hiss at me, like a pissed-off cat when I started bugging her. She didn't make any attempt to leave or ditch me. Yeah, she didn't talk to me unless I got her to but still. She wasn't a complete shut-in around me. And fuck man she's sarcastic. She's like you but on steroids.” he chuckled a little after swallowing a big bit of his food.
Jughead scoffed a little as he looked back at the school.
“Well if that's the case, we may have a new advantage at this school.”
The others all looked back at him.
Sweet Pea stopped eating for a moment, his eyes moving from Jug to slowly drifting to the school. His eyes followed the other boy's gaze.
Only time would tell what Jughead meant by that.

❝hey baby girl! you look lost. maybe I should escort you back to the north side.❞
you roll your eyes as soon as you hear what the ghoulie is saying to you and you fume. if not for sweetpea and the stupid school project, you think to yourself, i wouldn't even be over on the south side past midnight. as the footsteps pick up behind you and the ghoulie continues to call out to you and try to get you to stop, you pick up your own pace.
sweetpea picks up his pace to match your own. when he heard what the ghoulies were planning after you left the wyrm, he rushed out the back way and he thought he'd catch up to you, maybe walk you home. just as you're about to turn the corner up the block, he closes the gap between you and a massive ring adorned hand clamps down on your shoulder, bringing you to a full stop.
❝get your fucking hands offa me!❞ you yell as you spin around fast, this catapulting you right into the towering mass that is sweetpea. you stare up at him for a few seconds, puzzled by his sudden appearance because when you left him at the wyrm, he was about to start a game of pool with that guy, fangs. your nose wrinkles. ❝you? what do you want, hm?❞ you question, your hand settled on your right hip as you tap your foot and your eyes dart around, just to be on the safe side.
❝Easy, princess.❞ sweetpea raises both hands as if to surrender and for the third time that night, eyes as dark as the night sky rake over your body. he steps closer, the front of your body bumping against the front of his softly. ❝you kiss your mother with that mouth, princess?❞ he teases; he's being a shit and he knows it. you roll your eyes and hold up your middle finger at him. ❝i thought you were that ghoulie asshole.❞ you mutter after seconds that seem to stretch on and on, forever.
sweetpea clenches his fists when you mention that one of the ghoulies was already harrassing you. you're the one who just had t' work with her, man. it's your fault she's even over on this side of the tracks to start with. - the thought comes and sweetpea raises his free hand - the one not resting on your hip at the moment, and rubs his face. ❝i'm walkin you home. fangs was right. i never shoulda let you leave by yourself.❞
and it's not a question, it's not an offer. it's a command. spoken in the firmest tone as sweetpeas' eyes dance over your little body and the way you've done it again, migrated closer to him. no matter how much you live to make his life hell, you're always close. too close. touching him with your smaller hands, your perfume making his mouth water, the flush in your cheeks and the flare of your nostrils when he's taken things too far and made you angry getting him all hot and bothered.
he's a little surprised when you meet his demand with no resistance, only a tired sigh and a grumbled obscenity under your breath as the two of you begin to trudge towards the grassy knoll that separates his side of the tracks from yours.
but the silence is too much. it's thick and heavy, it's enough to strangle you both. as you draw to a stop at the flickering streetlamp across the street from your house, you nod your head towards the house as you gaze up at the massive south sider.
❝well, this is it.❞ you mumble, uggs shuffling against concrete as you linger, hesitant to get in out of the cold. you're dying to ask him why he insisted you partner with him earlier in class but deep down you realize that asking will be you, opening pandora's box.
and maybe it's just better this way. maybe if you don't ask you can safely keep fighting the sparks you felt earlier tonight at the wyrm, sitting side to side with him in a back booth at the wyrm.
sweetpea starts to walk away, assuming you've gone inside after watching you walk up the concrete walkway that leads up your sloping front lawn to your porch. so this time, he's the one surprised when he's turned around. shoved up against the trunk of the nearest tree that lines the street as you mold yourself against him and raise to tiptoe, just barely grazing warm, soft lips against his in a chaste kiss as your hand lingers against his cheek. as you seem to come to your senses and pull away, sweetpea blinks, dazed.
before he can ask you why the hell you kissed him, you've bolted up your walkway and through the front door to your house, door banging shut behind you and the sound echoing off the night air.
he stands there to collect himself for a second or two and then he starts to make his way back over to the south side... more confused than ever now, no thanks to your little kiss.

It Isn’t About Cheryl
You are Cheryl Blossom’s best friend. She thinks you’re mad at her. Turns out you’re not. Sweet Pea x reader / sick!reader
You were Cheryl Blossom’s best friend. You had been since you had taken your very first ballet class as toddlers. Whenever Cheryl was lonely or needed someone, you were there right alongside Jason until… Until. When Jason had died, Cheryl’s whole world shattered. At one point, she even stood on the thin ice at Sweetwater River, hoping to join him. It was the only time she had seen you that angry.
“You are not going to leave me behind, you understand?” You had screamed, while Veronica and Betty tried to get you to be calmer with her. You had brushed them off in angry tears. “No. No! If you go, I go. Do you understand? We are a non-negotiable. You have to know that.”
She loved you dearly and could be a tad bit overprotective when it came to things such as say, dating. Cheryl had wanted you to marry Jason and officially be her sister, something you had thought of as well. Jason’s death had crushed you too, the boy that you loved for years had not only passed away but been engaged to another. You had a brief fling with Reggie Mantle, which Cheryl now wished she hadn’t allowed, then ended up with more tears. Yours. Not his.
So when she met you at your locker one morning, your vanilla swirl latte in hand, she was surprised to see you scrunch up your nose. But you took the cup anyway.
“Thanks, Cher. I just have a bit of a stomach ache. Mom made oatmeal for breakfast and made me eat the entire bowl.”Your mother was a notoriously awful cook and oatmeal was a bland, lumpy food already. Plus, you almost always had a bit of a stomach ache. Stress, nerves, too much dairy. It wasn’t that abnormal.
“My condolences. So we’re still on for the new stunts with the Vixens after school, yes? Then we can celebrate. I’m thinking of a movie musical marathon. Sing-a-long required. With cherry phosphates from Pop’s. My beloved can join us if she wish. If not, it will just be us but that has always been good, yes?”
You nodded. Cheryl smiled. Most people found her to be a bit…much. She worried about over-showering Toni with love, though she deserved every bit of it. You never seemed to get tired of Cheryl though. And you hadn’t hesitated to forgive her when she may have blown you off a few times at the start of her relationship. When she looked over, you were on your phone, smiling at a text message. Ugh. Sweet Pea.
Cheryl didn’t have a problem with the Southside Serpents, Toni was one, after all. She didn’t even have a problem with Sweet Pea, per se. He was a good friend to the girlfriend she adored and she trusted Toni’s judgment but you had taken quite a shine to the boy so she had to be cautious. After all your heartbreak, she had to be careful. Sweet Pea was known to get into fights and react emotionally. While you claimed you and Reggie were friends now and he hadn’t been able to help his feelings for Veronica, Cheryl had no problem allowing him to house all the blame. She looked at you again. Your cheeks were heating up. You were blushing. Were you pale behind the blush? It was clear that you were enamored with the boy. When Toni had asked you to help tutor her friend, Cheryl hadn’t been concerned but now? Her concern was high.
She shared her concern with Toni later that day, as they waited for you at their lunch table. The other Vixens would join them soon, you along with them. Toni shook her head, adorable but unable to see reason. “Babe, he’s a good guy. I’ve known him forever. Besides, it’s none of our business if they want to see each other.”
The conversation was ended when the others arrived. You picked at your lunch, your favorite salad, which Cheryl had the chef make specifically for you. She was annoyed at Toni’s lack of alarm and that caused her to snap at you in a way she immediately regretted but didn’t acknowledge to save face. “Do you still have a stomach ache? We have a very important Vixen’s practice after school.”
“I’m fine. Thanks for your concern,” you grumbled back sarcastically as you took a huge bite of the salad as though you were suddenly starving. This surprised Cheryl, as you very rarely snapped at the girl. Toni gave her a look but Cheryl felt herself prickle. She had taken the time to get your favorite latte, which you barely drank, and to have your favorite lunch made for you. So, even if she was a little snippy, she had earned some leeway. Usually, you would both brush these things off. Instead, you powered through your salad before loudly and pointedly announcing how much you loved it. Sarcasm. Since when were you so rudely sarcastic with her?
The prickles lasted throughout the day until Vixens’ practice. Cheryl watched you from the corner of her eyes throughout the day. When she caught you grimacing and rubbing your temples, she was going to brush everything off as a headache but then Sweet Pea said something to you and you smiled and laughed. Cheryl was your best friend and it was some temperamental boy you were smiling at? Ridiculous. Unacceptable.
“Let it go, babe,” Toni told her as everyone lined up for practice. The weather was finally nice enough for them to be outside. Kevin, Fangs, and Sweet Pea loitered in the stands. The football team practiced on the other end of the field.  It should have been a good day.  Something was going on with her best friend. Were you actually mad at her? Over a silly comment? You always had a stomach ache. It was a thing. Cheryl didn’t feel bad. Not at all. Really. “She’s been weird all day. Sweet Pea asked me if I knew what was wrong with her. Something about groaning or moaning or whatever.”
Immediately, she was filled with worried. Groaning? Moaning? About what? Her? Cheryl knew she should relax. Let it go. Talk to you. Instead, she stepped away from Toni and clapped her heads, calling the girls together.
“Alright, Ladies! HBIC is speaking. Our new routine is fire. Or it would be if you all would stop fumbling. So we’re running it until we get it right. Start from the beginning and go through until my solo. I. E. The only part of the number that is currently flawless.” The girls began the dance as Cheryl stood by the radio. It was a solid synchronized beginning that broke off. Toni and Lisa took the front while you and Veronica were lifted into the air. You were tossed and gently placed down and then the girls made a path for the soloist, who would be Cheryl, of course.  The first run was shaky, which Cheryl informed the girls better be a warm-up. The second run was better but not good enough. Not perfect. Everything had to be perfect.
What surprised Cheryl was that you were dragging your feet. You never dragged your feet, dancing being your first love. Your mother ran the town's dance studio and you practiced your moves until they were perfect. Almost annoyingly so. Cheryl kept any jealousy she felt about your talent to herself because she loved her best friend. When Cheryl went to your dance competitions, she was filled with pride. She made everyone run it two more times.
“We’re getting better but still not quite there. Ginger, your arms need to be straight for the opening move, don’t flail. Veronica, adequate. Betty, try to look…I don’t know, interesting? And your kicks need to be higher and crisper. Get Veronica to help you if you can’t figure it out. And Y/N, get it together, please. We’re the River Vixens, not a charity team.” A stunned silence followed her words and no one moved. Cheryl never snapped at you, she never had to. Your face burned red and you moved into position to start the routine. The other girls followed you. You had a strange look on your face and Cheryl thought she saw tears in your eyes. Still, she hit play. She wasn’t even watching the girls, instead watching you give your all but still seem….off.  When the girls tossed you into the air, you missed all your marks. When they caught you and placed you down, you froze causing Betty to bump into you. You stayed frozen in place until Cheryl paused the music. “Y/N! What is going on with you?”
Cheryl took a step towards you. Her commanding voice was gone. The tears were back in your eyes and you seemed to be shaking. “Okay, you’re officially freaking me out, Y/N. Is this about lunch? I’m sorry I snapped at you, okay? You’re my -”
“I’m going to be sick.” You announced before darting off the field. There was no sarcasm to your voice. No anger. Only a terrified certainty. You had never been angry with her at all. You were ill.
“Toni, take the girls through the routine again. I’ll be back.” Cheryl took off after her friend, prepared to hold back her hair like you had done for her so many times before. Before she rounded the corner, she stopped. You were standing next to a large trash can, gripping both sides tightly. But you weren’t alone. Sweet Pea was standing next to you, rubbing your back.
“This is mortifying,” You sobbed, tears streaming down your face. Instead of bounding in to take over, her first instinct, Cheryl stayed where she was, peering around the corner.  “You do not have to stay for this. I should - I should - ”
You gagged and leaned over the trash can but didn’t vomit. Sweet Pea brushed a few tears from your eyes as you leaned back. “This is nothing. Fangs’ seventeen birthday? That was gross. Trust me. Like the exorcist.”
You laughed and then groaned again, placing one hand over your stomach. “I should have let you take me to the nurse in fifth period. You were right. I’ve been feeling sick all day. I didn’t even tell Cheryl, I just got snippy about her stupid salad. Ugh. That salad.”
You leaned over the trash can again and this time, everyone came up. Cheryl shuttered but watched as Sweet Pea stood by, brushing your hair out of your face and rubbing your back. It was sweet…in a disgusting sort of way. When you leaned back, he brushed the sweat from your forehead. He didn’t even flinch when you whipped the back of your mouth and spit. Instead, he pulled a water bottle out of his backpack and offered it to you. It was used, Cheryl noted, being half empty but it was a dire circumstance. You rinsed out your mouth and leaned again him, giving him your weight. “I think you have a fever. You feel any better?”
“I feel disgusting and queasy and embarrassed and I never want to show my face to the River Vixens of you ever again,” you confessed. Sweet Pea shook his head.
“Nah. That’s okay. You don’t need to do that. I’d miss your face.” Despite being disgusting and ill, you smiled at him. Cheryl felt her heart swell. It was so awkwardly cute. “I uh - I guess I’m trying to say that I don’t really care about my grades but I’ve been studying with you a lot. Like, I’ve been passing math for weeks and I’m still asking for your help. You know?”
“So you weren’t just in it for your love of learning,” you teased. Then your smile faltered and you brought your hand to your stomach. “I don’t know how I’m going to walk home. Ugh. I’m gonna lose it on the Cooper’s lawn.”
“I’ll drive you. Your mom gonna be home?” You shook your head. Your mother was rarely ever home. Often staying at the studio until 10 PM or later. It allowed you a lot of sleepovers but Cheryl knew you were often lonely, especially when you were sick. And Cheryl had been spending most of her time with Toni lately. “We’ll stop at the drugstore and I’ll grab a few things. I got you, okay?”
Sweet Pea wrapped his arm around your shoulder and guided you away from the foul-smell bin. Cheryl returned to her squad and grabbed her phone from her bag off the bench - she was the only one allowed to have her phone on them at rehearsal. Toni was leading the girls into a much smoother looking routine. “Ladies! I knew you had it in you. You are the Vixens I knew you could be. Take 5 - Nay, take 10. Then we’ll run it from the top and I’ll let you watch my solo.”
Cheryl joined Toni and wrapped her arms around her and kissed the top of her head. Toni hugged her tightly. When she pulled back, she asked “How’s our girl? You two make up?”
“Let’s just say, you’re much more intuitive and smart than the world gives you credit for. Mi amour, you deserve all the credit in the world.”
Cheryl kissed Toni firmly before pulling out her phone and texting you three words.
                                          Seal. Of. Approval.

Sweetness - Sweet Pea x Fem! Reader
Hello my lovelies! I'm not sure if this fandom is even alive anymore... at least not the Sweet Pea love, but I hope the people who find this story might like it? Just to make sure, Trigger Warning! For anyone who is triggered by the following; Death, illness, gang related activity, injury, guns or knives - Please read this book with caution, there will most likely be mentions of at least one of these in each chapter, but I will give a proper warning for any scenes that detail these events!
Thank you my lovelies (Also, I'm not sure when exactly the series takes place, so be gentle with my dates please!), and enjoy the chapter! Xxx __________________________
July 1999,
Dear diary,
I used to think that Riverdale was the safest place for me, Ricky always had my back, someone I could always trust, someone who loved me and that I adored. And now he's gone.
Ricky was a badass! He was an angel of death and was a big deal in the Serpents, he died protecting his friend! He was so young... He was in the hospital for days, I still think they could have saved him, they chose not to! They saw the snake on his shoulder and chose to give him the bare minimum help!!
Screw this town. Screw the Ghoulies. Screw the Northside. The Southside.
I can't help but feel selfish now. Thinking about myself and what I'm going to do with Peanut. Sure they were a surprise, but they were a welcome one. Ricky was so excited about you, little one. He would have spoiled you rotten.
I know that the Serpents would have taken care of us, F.P is definitely going to be named Godfather now, but they aren't Ricky. And everything in this damn town reminds me of him, of what he was. So I'm leaving. My parents are moving with us out of town, as far away as we can.
I love you so so much Peanut, and I'm hoping one day you'll be a nosy little shit like your dad and find these entries one day, it will be much less painful than telling you his story myself.
Until I meet you, Kathryn (aka mama)

Dear Ricky,
She's here. She's beautiful. Ten fingers and ten toes, I named her (y/n), the name you wanted, it just seemed perfect for her. I'm going to love her and protect her the way you would have. I've written to F.P, letting him know that he has a happy, healthy god-daughter. I wasn't convinced about him being her godfather, but it's a bit difficult to argue with you now, huh?
Don't think I'm going to let her forget how painful it was getting her out of me though! If this kid ever gives me sass, I'm going to tell her they nearly had to cut her out of me so she can zip it!
I wish you could see her, I was so worried when she first arrived, she didn't make a sound. She hasn't cried since. She just sort of scrunches up her face when she wants something, sort of the way you did when I refused your kisses.
I hope she winds up keeping your eye colour, the gorgeous (e/c). Most people who lose someone say they can't bear to look at others that look like their loved ones. But your eyes, were my everything. My slice of heaven. My oasis. She has my nose, I want her to have your eyes.
I love you Ricky,
Kathryn

December 2015
Dear Diary,
It's been a while huh? Being a parent is a bit of a full time job I guess! But (y/n) is beginning to suspect that I'm hiding something from her, she sees me getting weaker, she can tell I'm going places without her. How am I supposed to tell her that I'm running off to the Oncology department a few times a week...?
I want to tell her, desperately. I hate hiding this from her, she's seen me getting weaker for years, she's been taking care of me, ditching school to make sure I'm okay for fuck's sake! She's my angel, she means everything to me.
I can't hide it from her any longer, I'm going to tell her tonight over dinner.
Wish me luck,
Kathryn

August 2017
Dear Peanut,
I'm sorry it has to go this way, believe me, if I could have stayed longer I would have, but you wouldn't have wanted that. You need to live your life without having to worry about me, follow your dreams without me holding you back.
I love you so so much (y/n), but I think we both know its time for me. This is the hardest thing I have ever written, and I hope you can forgive me.
With this letter, I have left you a folder, it's just dumb legal bullshit really, but I think there are some things in there that you'll like. I know you found your dad's old recipe books, you and him were so alike my darling.
Hopefully, the stuff in the folder will help you, please don't mourn too long, live your life for me, for your dad.
I love you more than words can say.
Be a good girl (y/n).
Love mama

________________________________
Seeing all the memories that I spent the last month avoiding was harder than I had expected. If I thought it was difficult holding my mother's hand as she fought through the cancer and eventually as she passed away, I wasn't prepared for the feeling of resurfacing memories. Mama's lawyer had handed me a large brown folder, a solemn look on his face, struggling to think of something to say to the girl who was now an orphan.
I left the folder in a draw of my dresser after I'd got home, the house felt so empty without her around. Even when she was weak, my mama lit up the room she was in. She was happy and, as cliche and now untrue as it was to say, full of life. Now the house felt cold and dead. My mama was my best friend, my closest confidante, she hasn't been gone an hour and I was already so lost. The worst part was, when I felt this lost, I spoke to my mother.
I went to my mama's room, followed by our dog. I had found him in the park when I was younger, he was just a puppy, I begged and pleaded with mama to keep him, after a pretty big temper tantrum, she finally gave in. Sonic wasn't a puppy anymore, he was nine years old and huge! Mama liked him eventually, when he began exhibiting guarding behaviour, feeling more comfortable with him as a guard dog, a big Rottweiler cross that looked like her came straight from guarding Hades.
Sitting on her bed as carefully as I could, I thought about how strange it was, that everything still was the same, the day was a beautiful, blue sky, the house still looked the same. I contemplated opening the folder now, but it was too hard to think about. Instead, I curled up in the bed sheets, humming a lullaby my mama used to sing, until I fell asleep.
But now I was reading the files. It was a lot of suppressed pain that had suddenly bubbled its way to the surface. My heart felt like someone had taken a hammer to it, there was a photo album full of pictures of me and mama, even some of her and my dad, when they were in high school. I never knew my dad, now I knew why.
Mama had told me he had died, she had just never told me how. Now I knew, someone in a gang had murdered my father. But the diary entries mama had written, my dad was in a gang as well. He died, for another gang member. F.P Jones.
I'd seen the name in the folder too, he was listed as my legal guardian, my godfather, on my birth certificate. I'm not sure just how much I was interested in hunting this guy down, yes he was the person that my parents trusted enough to be my legal guardian, but he was also the person my father took a knife for...
Anyway, I began enjoying myself, looking through all of the pictures of my parents, I even smiled a few times at the pictures of mama and I. The smile faded into confusion when a few certificates and documents were mixed into the nostalgia. Leafing through the documents, I was shocked to find deeds. Specifically to my inheritance and to the house my parents had bought, before dad died. Mama did say she wanted to move away when he'd passed.
Away from Riverdale... ________________________________
The house was bigger than I had expected, a two story suburban dream house, sure it was a bit worse for wear, the wood panelling had chipped paint, some of the windows were so filthy I couldn't see through them and the porch was most definitely a health hazard, but that just meant I had something to distract myself with.
Unfortunately for the house, it would have to wait for some TLC, I was already on my way a few streets down, Sonic trailing behind me, to a separate building, one that my parents had left me money to be able to purchase. It was small, but I knew as soon as I'd seen it, I loved it. It had been my dream since I was a little girl to run my own bakery. I loved cooking and food as much as my father had seemingly.
Mama was right in her diary, I had found dad's old recipe books when I was five, I used a lot of the recipes to learn how to cook, and even more of them because they were claimed as healthy, I was a kid, I thought that because an adult deemed it good, it would make her better. It didn't, but I remember mama's face when I eventually fessed up about snooping through dad's stuff.
Dad had a lot of baked goods in his books, I even managed to tweak a few of them, but he never got to have a place of his own, I was looking forward to this. I would be dedicating my life to something I wanted to do, but also to my parents, forming a legacy I hoped they would be proud of.
My future bakery looked a lot worse than the house did, that was putting it lightly, the windows were smashed, glass was everywhere, the door was practically falling off its hinges and the bricks looked like they had been whacked with a battering ram! Although, the most confusing part about the building, was the old woman sitting on the bench outside, staring at the 'Sold' sign in the window of the door.
I walked up to the woman, cautiously, clearing my throat to avoid startling her, "Excuse me?" I asked, seeing her turn her head to face me, a small smile on her face.
"Oh, sorry dear," She began, struggling to get to her feet, I hurried to offer her a hand, Sonic herding around her knees. "Thank you, such a lovely girl! Oh, and dog!" I smiled at her, curious as to the people my age around here, she seemed surprised I offered to help her, what were the other teenagers like here?
"What were you doing sitting in the cold, all on your own?" I asked, trying not to sound too suspicious, the old woman sighed, staring up at the dilapidated building once more.
The woman smiled, wistful, "This used to be my husband's business." She told me, "He passed on quite long ago now, but he loved this place." She placed a hand lightly against the bricks, I smiled at the woman.
"I'm sorry for your loss," I replied, seeing her nodding in response, "Actually, I own this building now, I'm about to start working on it," I told her, hoping she wouldn't be upset with me.
To my surprise, she grinned widely, clapping her hands in excitement, "Oh, that's wonderful news! I'll be delighted to see the old place back to its former glory!" She cheered. "I'm Ruthie, but such a sweet soul like you can call me Granny, if you'd like, all the other kids in town do!"
I took her hand for a shake, shocked at how strong her grip was, for an old woman, she sure had some muscles! And that was the start of a very odd relationship between the two of us.
Granny was lovely, for the first few days, she would pop by to give me lunch and some hot chocolate, saying that I needed the sugar and some 'pep in my step', but then one day, she picked up a saw, beginning to saw planks for me to use. She helped a lot with the renovation of the bakery, we even kept the name that her husband had used for it, Ray's. We did modify it slightly, now it was Rays, as in 'Ray of Sunshine', but still remembering her husband, Raymond. ________________________________
With the place up and running, I had to force Granny to take a break, in return, we had to make a deal, she could have as many free bakery goodies she wanted, and she would cover the shifts I couldn't make because of school. I was so excited for this, today was the grand opening! Unlike in movies and TV shows, I didn't make a huge deal out of it, even if I was positively buzzing! I didn't deck the place out with banners and balloons, instead, I just flipped the sign on the door and went back to baking, I was gonna let the open windows bring people in.
I was kind of worried about the area, especially considering I'd left my scary teddy bear at home, Sonic would have just gotten stressed each time the door opened. But apparently the Southside of town had a pretty bad reputation, most of the place was pretty run down compared to the preppy, expensive Northside, and was riddled with gang activity...
It had been a couple of hours and I was getting bored! I let my eyes wander around the walls of Rays, the glossy, white brick walls reflecting the florescent lights. All the industrial ovens, mixers and fridges were pretty high-grade, but they weren't the things I loved the most.
Next to the coffee machine, were two framed pictures, one of my parents, happy in their high school days, the other, a black and white photo of Granny and Ray, happy in their own. I was brought out of my reverie by the timer on the oven, pushing off of the counter to the kitchen, pulling the cupcakes out of the oven, relishing in the sweet smell of freshly baked cake.
I felt my heart swell with excitement when I heard the bell above the door ringing, we finally had customers! Quickly, but carefully, cause it was blisteringly hot, I set down the tray of cupcakes on the metal decorating tables, wiping my hands on my apron.
Walking back around to the main shop, I saw three teenagers, probably around my age, two guys and a girl. The guys were staring at the display case, their eyes practically sparkling, it was rather strange to see. One of the boys was quite tall, leaning on the display case, the other was significantly shorter, pressing his hands to the front of the glass. The girl on the other hand was gazing around the room, smiling, her most outstanding feature was her bright pink hair, all three of them were decked out in leather jackets and flannel.
A relaxed smile made its way onto my face, "Hey you guys, what can I get ya?" I asked cheerfully, a bounce in my step. The guys hardly looked up from the display case, the girl shaking her head at them disapprovingly.
"Hey, never seen this place before," The girl said, nodding at the door. I smiled and nodded understandingly.
"Yeah, we only just opened today! We've spent the last few weeks renovating this place!" I told her, offering her a hand to shake. "I'm (y/n), sort of new to town," I told her.
She took my hand, strong grip, something that most of the people here seemed to have. "Toni, congrats on opening! Sorry about those two, usually they're not this rude... Shorty is Fangs, the giant is Sweet Pea." She said, causing me to giggle.
"It's cool, I remember going to places like this when I was a kid and being starstruck by all the pretty cakes, not to mention the fact that there were way to many options!" I joked, happy when Toni laughed with me.
Seeming to wake up from the glutton induced trance they were in, Sweet Pea and Fangs looked up, only now realising there was a second party in the room.
The shorter guy, Fangs, looked at me in awe, "Did you make all these?" He asked, pointing at the goodies, I nodded in response, proud that they seemed to like the look of them, I only hoped that they liked the taste.
"Sure did! Would you guys like to try something, no charge! I need some guinea pigs!" I said, giving a cheeky smirk. The boys shared an excited look, fully prepared to say yes, when Toni interrupted them.
"You only just opened, we can't just take from your stock, at least let us pay for them!" She protested, I smiled kindly at her, it was very sweet of her to consider the business aspect, it was pretty important, but it wasn't why I started this! I wanted people to enjoy my food!
"No worries! You guys are the first people to come in today, well, ever! It would be good to have some feedback about some stuff, if it really bothers you, then feel free to come back another time and buy something? For now! I'll set up a sample plate!" I told her, not giving her time to argue.
I put together a large plate of lots of different things, cupcakes, cookies, pies, tarts, cakes, pastries and some drinks, bringing them over to one of the tables on the shop floor. I'll be honest, it was rather funny seeing these edgy teens sitting in my pastel bakery, I offered them seats before taking one myself.
Sweet Pea and Fangs were practically giddy, getting their hands smacked by Toni as they tried to grab some of the sugary treats. "Hey! If (y/n) wants feedback, you can't just shovel it into your faces! Have some manners, damn who raised you two?" She muttered.
I chuckled, "It's fine, go ahead, maybe start with the cookies? They should still be warm from the oven!" I told them, pointing at the chocolate chip cookies, a simple classic.
They each took a bit, their eyes widening as they bit into the warm, gooey chocolate. "Oh my god." Fangs muttered, his mouth full.
"These are amazing," Sweet Pea added, taking another bite.
I clapped my hands slightly, "Yay! I'm so happy you guys like them," Toni nodding along, giving me some info that was actually really useful. We let the boys keep trying the goodies as we settled into conversation.
"So why did you and your family move to Riverdale, we're not exactly a tourist destination," Toni joked, gazing out of the window at the run down streets of the Southside, "Your bakery is probably the nicest thing to be in this side of town for decades..."
My face soured into a sad smile, "Um, it's just me actually, my parents have both passed away, but they used to live in Riverdale before I was born, they left me a house in the Southside." I told her quietly, looking down as tears began too well in my eyes, already beginning to flood my face. I let out a choked laugh, "I'm so sorry, I never cry, this is so strange..."
I wiped my face, feeling my cheeks burn, I can't believe one of the rare times I cry and it's in public. Hearing the chairs scrape against the floor, I thought Toni, Sweet Pea and Fangs were saving me the humiliation and leaving me to my tears. Instead, I felt a gentle hand cup my own and sudden large hands resting on my shoulders and knee.
Looking up confused, I saw a soft smile on Toni's lips, as well as Sweet Pea, kneeling beside my chair, his hand on my knee, leading me to believe that it was Fangs' hands on my shoulders.
Sweet Pea, though he wasn't smiling, had a soft look in his eyes, "All of us have lost someone, we get it. You don't have to be strong all the time, we got your back now." He told me, keeping his voice quiet. I looked into his deep brown eyes, wiping my cheeks and smiling at him.
"Thanks, you guys are being so kind to me, you don't even know me," I chuckled.
They laughed with me, "I mean, you gave us free sweets and you don't know us," Toni joked. We once again, fell into relaxed conversation, the guys joining in this time, whilst still snacking on pastries.
Fangs looked over at me, "So, if I can ask... Who were your parents? If they lived here, maybe someone knew them?" He asked, cautiously, probably trying not to set me off again.
"Rick and Kathryn (l/n)." I told them, playing with the straw in my drink, noting how quiet the three had gotten.
Looking up, I saw them all looking at me like they'd seen a ghost, "What?" I asked.
Sharing glances, they seemed to be mentally arguing about who was going to tell me.
"Spit it out, you guys, I thought we were friends now?" I muttered, trying to guilt them into just telling me.
Sweet Pea sighed, "We know your parents, or really, we know of them..." I looked at him confused, gesturing for him to continue.
"Your dad is a Serpent legend! He died saving F.P, he's kind of the boss now. His picture's been in pretty much every Serpent hangout since we before we all joined." He finished.
I smiled at them, clearly not the reaction they were expecting.
"Thank you, for keeping his memory alive, I'd love to meet some of the Serpents that knew him, I only found out what happened to him about a month ago, mama didn't really like talking about it."
Once again, the conversation started up, but, once again, was interrupted. This time, by Sonic, barking outside the bakery, freaking out the Serpents into standing up, "It's okay, he's my dog! Something must have happened, I left him in the house..." I told them, grabbing the keys to the bakery and rushing out to follow Sonic back to the house, Toni, Sweet Pea and Fangs following close behind.
________________________________
So I'm going to end the chapter there! I hope you guys enjoyed it! I based a few characters off of my family... My mum and dog for example... Anyway! I love you guys, see you soon, hopefully! Xxx

sweet pea: the fighters
Tumblr media
A/n this is based on the fight between the Bulldogs and the serpents
Warnings: talk about physical abuse Physical fighting people getting beaten up This is pretty much just pure fluff Smoking of cigarettes
enjoy this while i work on requests
Sweet pea, sitting on his motorcycle in the pouring rain waiting for the Bulldogs with the rest of the serpents
"Be careful my love" I tell him Not wanting him to get too hurt
"You don't gotta worry about me," sweet pea says he kisses me on the forehead.
He turns his head away from me as he hears the Bulldogs pull up as soon as Archie steps out, sweet pea gets off the bike
Sweet pea starts walking towards Archie when he reaches him they stare down each other
As thunder claps in the sky Archie throws the first punch I straighten my back making sure sweet pea is okay debating whether or not to run into the middle of the fight
I decide against it, not wanting to get caught up in the middle. I may be a serpent, but as someone who got abused by their father, their entire childhood is not someone runs into the middle of a fight, unless someone's dying
When I see sweet pea back on his feet, I'd let out a breath of relief my eyes avert everywhere I see Archie getting thrown on the ground,. And then a second later I see one of the serpents getting their nose broken.
I see Dilson whip out a pocket knife even though there's a strict rule, no weapons not a second later, Archie yell out "Dilton!" And Archie getting thrown to the floor yet again
Archie gets kicked in the stomach by sweet pea that look like it hurt I feel a little bad for him, the next thing I hear is a gun going off seeing Archie's girlfriend Veronica, with a gun in her hand
My boy coming running after me, saying "let's go"
Me and sweet pea jump on the bike and head home. We have arrived at my trailer. I live alone because I got my dad thrown in jail.
We're both soaking wet when we walk into my trailer so I walk into my bedroom to change my clothes, when I come back out, I see sweet pea, shirtless, and and his nose and cheek and lip is bleeding
"Get off the couch, go to the bathroom I'll be there in a sec" tell him as i go to my bedroom to grab my first aid kit
When I get to the bathroom I see him sitting on the toilet, which I'm very happy about because he is very tall and I am according to my friends and him very short But whatever
I put down my first aid kit and open it up as I get alcohol wipes and some disinfectant for his wounds and some aloe vera cream for the bruises on his ribs
"My love, you need to stop fighting with everybody and just let some things go. I'm tired of patching you up all the time" I tell him
"I know you don't like it pretty girl but he fucking deserved it" sweet peas says
"Sweet pea this is exactly what I talk about he was just spring painting it's nothing you haven't done before and that's what pissed you off. You started it and then he took out his gun because he felt threatened like you wouldn't have done the same thing if you had a gun. Because I know for sure as hell, I would have." I say
"You have a point pretty girl I'm sorry my anger gets the best of me sometimes I'm still impressed you still Find it in you to stay with me" he says looking down
"Sweet pea my love of course I stay you have anger issues which is completely fair I used to have angry issues worse than yours. I just found a way to cope with mine, that's what you need to do as well it'll take time but you will get there and I will help you through it. I promise my love" I said to him and return, the kiss on the forehead, he gave me earlier
"Thank you pretty girl I love you" he says as he hugs me
I hug him back saying "of course my love now go to bed I have to pee and then I'll be there" as I kiss him on the lips
He gets off the toilet walking into my bedroom closing the door to the bathroom I reach under the sink, grabbing my ashtray Then, reaching in my back pocket to pull out my pack of cigarettes and lighting one
He knows I smoke, I'm not hiding it from him but if his parents smelled the smoke on him, he would be killed literally so I do it in the bathroom where I can have privacy
I take a hit of the cigarette blow the smoke out and ash it off in the ashtray putting it out, putting it under the sink again,  opening the door and then walking into my bedroom I grab a pair of shorts and a T-shirt to sleep in
As I start changing clothes I hear from sweet pea " looking good pretty girl" "You dog" I say laughing
I make my way towards the bed slide under the covers not even a second later I feel sweet pea, leaning on my boobs, his arm over my stomach falling asleep

hi honeyyy!!
how we feeling today?
m thinking about rhett being a human space heater and wrapping his jacket around you while he’s still in it & zipping it around the two of you while you’re at a bonfire & it’s like super duper cold out.
hi i need him
hiiii my sweet pea!!!
we feeling okay!! how are you feeling today?? <33
this is currently the only thought on my mind as we move away from summer into spooky season! rhett is a human space heater. i just know he is. no matter how cold it is at night and how much you complain, he will always be there to pull you into his chest with a sleepy grin.
the same goes for when you visit the local town bonfire on halloween. you’re already nuzzled into his side with his arm wrapped protectively around you but it’s not enough, even with the bonfire blazing in front of you.
you shiver every once in a while and try and get closer to him. he looks down at you with a knowing smile forming on his lips. “cold, darlin’?” it’s an obvious question that he knows the answer to, but he loves seeing your eyebrows turn upwards and a small pout form on your lips. “freezing.”
you feel his chuckle vibrate through his chest as you’re pressed tightly against it. “c’ ere.” you feel the wind nip at your neck as he moves to un zip his large jacket and you break away from his torso. he pulls it around you and zips it up as tight as it will go. your back is flush against his sweater underneath and you can feel the warmth radiating down your spine.
cocking his head down far enough to look at you bunched up in his jacket he asks you, “better, angel?” you hum in response before he presses a soft kiss to your temple.
feeling the heat spread around your torso, you relax into his hold and gently nudge your ass against his crotch. he clocks on instantly and a little laugh escapes his mouth. “behave.”
i need him too!! thank you so much for this wonderful thought my sweet pea, ilysm!! 💌🫶🏼💖

Author’s Note: Hello! This is my first piece of writing on this account so I hope you all enjoy it. I have not proofread this chapter, so please excuse any grammar or spelling mistakes. This is going to be a multi-part series and it will follow an adapted version of the Riverdale timeline. Feel free to like, comment, and reblog this post! Thank you and enjoy!!!
In the town of Riverdale it was rare for a newcomer to show up and even rarer for an old resident to return, but that’s exactly what happened the summer before sophomore year. Y/N Kim was born and raised in Riverdale, until her father had a psychotic break, which led to her older sister and mother taking her away to live in Seoul, South Korea. She wasn’t aware of her family’s affiliation with an international crime syndicate, known as NCT, until she turned 12. Her older sister had joined the mafia 4 years earlier, when she was only 15 and in love with none other than Jung Jaehyun, a member of NCT by blood.
Their father had been an NCT member since he got out of high school and dragged their mother into it with him. That’s when the Kim family became NCT members by blood. Even though they had their blood relation to NCT, they weren’t forced to become active members. They were entitled to NCT’s protection with or without the logo tattooed on their bodies. Lana joined NCT of her own volition, much to the dismay of her mother, who feared she would end up just like the man she had once loved. Y/N, on the other hand, wasn’t aware of her family’s lifestyle until her mother sat down with her and had a long talk, knowing full well she couldn’t keep from her forever. After the shock and rage subsided, Y/N talked with her older sister, who explained in more detail exactly what being an NCT member entailed. On her 12th birthday, she decided that she wanted to become a full-fledged member of NCT. That’s when three long years of gruesome training began.
It started with basic hand-to-hand combat, then escalated into weapons training with both guns and knives. After that, it was the psychological training, in order to ensure that she was mentally capable of protecting NCT’s secrets and withstanding interrogation. Once she passed her mental evaluations, they moved her onto basic first aid training and then negotiation lessons. Soon, she became one of the best soldiers NCT had to offer. She’s still one of the most respected and feared NCT soldiers, gaining almost as much respect as the caporegimes.
This leads us back to six months ago, when Mrs. Kim passed away. It wasn’t a sudden death. In fact, both of the sisters had seen it coming from a mile away, but it still took quite the toll on them. After weeks of grieving, the sisters finally composed themselves enough to return to work. In the higher ranks of NCT, discussions were being held regarding the branches of NCT. The Riverdale branch had been dormant since the capos who resided there before left, and now all the NCT members who lived there had either hidden as normal citizens or temporarily joined smaller gangs, like the Southside Serpents and Ghoulies.
“I’m just saying. It would be in our best interest to start running the Riverdale branch again.” Johnny, a caporegime and the consigliere, argued.
“Johnny’s right, TY. While the Riverdale branch has been dormant, we’ve lost almost half of the members that were there to other gangs and lost about $20 million in income per month.” It was rare to see Doyoung, yet another capo, agree with Johnny.
Virtually all the other caporegimes in the room agreed with Johnny’s argument, all except for Taeil, the eldest capo and underboss. “Riverdale has nothing to offer us anymore. All the drug and weapons deals have been taken over by other organizations and there’s nobody of importance for protective services. Besides, it’s such a small town, it would benefit us more to start up a branch in the big city.”
Taeil and Johnny had been going back and forth on the matter since the meeting started almost two hours prior, which thoroughly annoyed Taeyong. “Majority is in agreement that we should restart the Riverdale branch, so I’ve decided that we will do just that. Jaehyun and Lana pack your things, you’ll be the branch boss and underboss, respectively. Capos Renjun, Jeno, Jaemin, and Chenle will also be accompanying you in case of another incident like three years ago. We’ll also send a few extra soldiers to add onto the ones dormant in Riverdale. And obviously, Y/N will also be accompanying you.” Taeyong finished, waiting for confirmation from the new branch leaders and then ending the meeting.
Once they had been dismissed, Jaehyun and Lana left the room and headed back to their shared apartment in NCT’s complex. “So, how do you think Y/N will feel about moving back to Riverdale?” Jaehyun asked.
“ I don’t know, Jae. I guess it really depends on if her old friends are still there, but I don’t know how much our father’s… incident affected her.” Lana responded earnestly. It was true, Y/N had changed a lot since her father’s breakdown. She wasn’t as in tune with her emotions anymore and used the mafia lifestyle as an escape. Maybe having those old friends back will help her to regain some sort of emotional sentience, but nothing can be assured.
Opening the door to their home, Lana and Jaehyun were greeted by Y/N sitting at the kitchen bar on her computer, likely typing out an essay for her literature class. “Y/N, we have some important things to discuss.” Lana said, carefully as if her little sister would scurry like a mouse if she were too blunt.
Y/N closed her computer, saving the document she had been working on. She looked between her sister and brother-in-law, eyes guarded and suspecting. “What’s up? I don’t like how cautious you’re being right now.”
Lana took a deep breath. Y/N had always been absorbed in her schoolwork, busting her ass to keep up her 4.0 GPA by constantly studying and working to improve her education. “As much as you love the school that you’re going to now, soon, we have to move…back to Riverdale-”
Y/N quickly stood to her feet, eyes wide. “What?!” She exclaimed, nearly knocking over her chair with her sudden movements. “Back to Riverdale? Seriously?!”
Lana, assuming her sister was upset, gently tried to calm her down. “I know you may not want to go back because of what happened, but this is for official NCT business.”
Y/N quickly shook her head back and forth, “No, no, no. I’m happy about this.” The confusion written on Lana and Jaehyun’s faces would have been comical in any other situation, but the need for an explanation trumped any humor there was. “I can see Archie and Betty and Juggie again. All of my childhood friends, I’ll be able to see them again.” A sigh of relief left both Jaehyun and Lana, who were genuinely terrified that Y/N would be upset.
“We’re leaving once this semester of your schooling ends. Monday, once office hours are open, we’re gonna start getting your credits transferred with the school and start contacting old NCT members from Riverdale.” Jaehyun explained, turning on the electric kettle he had filled with water. “After that, your sister and I will work on rebuilding the Riverdale branch and you will be enjoying your summer and rekindling old friendships, I hope.” He smiled, setting two cups of tea in front of the sisters. Small thanks were heard from both before slow sips.
Lana stood from her seat, grabbing the cup of tea and heading towards her bedroom. “Since there’s only a couple weeks left before school ends, I would suggest packing up most of your things, especially your small things, beforehand so we can save time. While Jae is taking care of your school stuff and relations, I’ll be here all day packing up the apartment.” She nodded off before disappearing into her bedroom.
Jaehyun, now with his own tea, whispered to Y/N before leaving into the same room. “Make sure to go easy on her the next few weeks. Taeil’s still making a fuss about the Riverdale branch and I can guarantee he’ll be harassing her about it until the profits start showing up.”
Y/N nodded in agreement before reopening her laptop. “Got it.”
The next few weeks were spent with constant phone calls, a lot of packing tape, and several moving men taking things to either be put into storage, sold, or sent to their new home in Riverdale. After a long 18 hour flight and 4 hour drive, the black SUV with tinted windows finally passed by the nostalgic sign. “Riverdale: The Town with PEP!”

You know what I love? A break from the monotony of regular fics where the reader mc is a victim.
I love when the reader is the unhinged one. I love it when they're so deluded, so far gone that you as sane as you are (which can't be alot if you're on tumblr lol), that you start to see their point and even root for them.
It's like the ultimate girl power thing for me in like a screwed up way, to have the reader be the pursuer, the predator. It's so rare to see Yandere! Or obsessive! dark fics from that perspective.
I love seeing the common themes in dark fics, with a female reader as the instigator,
like the misogynistic "you're going to be my housewife and have my kids whether you like it or not" thing turned to " I'm just trying to be a good housewife for you and give you a family, I promise you'll love it" or " just let me make you feel good, I know you need it even if you don't know it yet" vibes
I love that. I'm going to eat it up everytime
If y'all know of any go ahead and comment. And to any writers who come across this don't be shy to self promote.
My preferred fandoms the MCU : the avengers, Captain America, TFAWS.Harry Potter, Twilight (which is dead as fuck)
Any C. Evans works, or S. Stan
