i do think a huge part of what makes slimeriana on the qsmp so charming is that both of them manage to give off extreme "one of us got pregnant way too young after a one night stand but instead of terminating it we chose to get married, and now we are the parents of a kindergartener despite still being basically kids ourselves" vibes. like, the easter vod, for example:

barely a minute into slime arriving they start arguing about who's taking care of the kid more. slime was late because he was doing an easter egg hunt. mariana keeps dragging her to parties with his friends; he thinks it's fun even though she's, like, five and should be watching spongebob not watching her tíos do lines. her birthday present was a lighter. literally all she eats is toast. her parents tried to make her pick between them "like the dog from Air Bud."

she wrote the word "sad" and slime 'n mariana dropped the making-her-choose thing instantly, as though they hadn't even realised what a terrible thing that is to do to your daughter. they left her alone on the front lawn and went upstairs to have sexo on a futon on the bare-ass wood floor because mariana doesn't even have a fucking bedframe. mariana has a tiger skin rug and a secret room hidden behind a painting, but no fucking bed or roof. meanwhile slime is still squatting rent-free at the abandoned apartments where a bomb went off.

like, these are the parents who show up at the PTA meeting in ill-fitting suits, clearly hungover, and with exactly none of the paperwork they need. but the other parents aren't even angry at them, they're just so deeply, deeply worried about them (and moreover, flippa). slimeriana are two ~20y/o dirt-poor emotional wrecks with next to zero adult life experience and a mountain of mutually unresolved issues. god. they loved each other in their own ways, they tried their clumsy best, but it would have taken a miracle for flippa to make it out alive.

hey, I don't usually speak about things like that, but I've seen the Wilbur Soot allegations and what the whole situation is about. (if you don't know what I'm talking about, you should look up Shelby's recent vod of her stream).

As a former dsmp/Wilbur/ Lovejoy fan I'm so, so disappointed and disgusted. I'd have never thought to hear something like this. A person that used to inspire me a lot and that I used to look up to turned out to be a complete fucking monster and a horrible human being.

What he's done is in my opinion unforgivable and I'm so glad that all his friends are leaving him and supporting Shelby. She's so brave and it's a good thing that she shared what she's been through. I'm glad the truth is now out and I want to spread this information as much as I can.

It doesn't matter if you loved dsmp, watch qsmp, listen to lovejoy- don't support this bastard. He doesn't deserve any support from anyone.

Instead, go and support Shubble because that's what she needs right now. Support, understanding and justice.

I thought I could share my thoughts here as most of you know Shelby from Empires SMP, and you also probably know what the whole situation is about.

I myself stopped watching Wilbur's content a long time ago but seeing this shit makes me so mad anyway. It's horrible and everyone should know that.

Well...Happy 1 year of QSMP I guess...

There's just no easy way to say anything about everything that's been happening the past few weeks and everything that's happened since yesterday because it's a fucking dumpster fire and I'm just so tired of it all to be honest...

But this post isn't about that.

I still want to celebrate this server's first year anniversary because of how much it means to me personally. I made a post talking about how I initially started watching the qsmp (two days early 💀) but I'll reiterate what I've always said:

That despite all the problems of the server, despite all the damage that has been done, never forget what it has managed to achieve and hopefully continues to achieve in the future, under better conditions.

The QSMP's mission was to unite people from all over the world to play together and be friends despite speaking different languages and having different cultures. It united communities and formed friendships across the globe. Personally, achieving that takes more than just sticking random people in the same room together because it's about making genuine connections that could last a lifetime. And the qsmp achieved that. I'll never stop saying this because despite all its glaring problems, the qsmp is revolutionary for all the good it has managed to do.

Ok, like think about the translations alone. I'm using Bad as an example because he's the only one so far that I've seen do this but, BBH has set up live translations of multiple languages on his screen so non-english speakers can still understand his streams and his vods even if he's not playing on the qsmp. That wouldn't have happened without the QSMP's influence. That's fucking incredible!

Think about all the CC's and admins that became friends after meeting on the server. Former admins like Lumi (Pomme) and Shade (Dapper) still talking to Bad on his chat and watching his stream. That's still really awesome! Not to mention all the amazing collaboration projects with many qsmp members outside minecraft like Ordem Paranormal and Liar Liar, to name a few.

Look, the last three weeks have been extremely difficult on everyone. I myself am tired of the situation and scrolling through the tag, especially after yesterday, just makes me sad tbh. For the first time since these weeks, I felt so despondent and shocked about everything. It got to the point where, after Shade and Lumi announced their departure, I called my mom and broke down sobbing and vented about the whole admin situation. And bless her heart, my mom actually listened and I'm going to share the advice she gave me:

"Let them fix the problem. Let the company do the restructuring they need to do because right now, it sounds like they have a lot of problems to fix. It's going to take a long time before things can go back to any sense of normalcy, so while they do that, focus on yourself for now. If you're so invested in all the problems of this online world, maybe it's time to step back for now. Maybe it's time to focus on the real world."

And well, she's right. I've been so upset about the situation that my mental health wasn't faring well because of it. Yesterday was kind of a wake up call for me I guess?

I've been in this fandom for 10 months now. It's the longest time I've been invested in a community and qsmp has and will always have a special place in my heart. But I think it's time to let go and move on for now. I'll keep my hopes up and hope that the future is bright, and the qsmp will continue because it has so much potential to achieve more greatness, but I'll leave the project to rest and focus on other endeavors for now.

I'll be posting art and checking in on stuff from time to time, and of course, I'll be watching BBH, but it might be time to depart and say, "Thanks for everything, and I'll see you later."

Most people will be ashamed to mention the fandoms they've been a part of when they were younger, but 10 years from now, if anyone ever asks if I was a part of the qsmp fandom, I'll gladly say yes and tell all the good stories I have about it.

I love the community we made here on qsmpblr, and if I trust the QSMP's mission of uniting people, then I trust that, no matter what happens, this community will be here when I return.

Because...Despite everything, it's all about love, right? And no matter what happens, the love is still there, and will always be.

The english in the qsmp is dull.

I have been noticing this for a while and, talking to my non-english speaker friends (unlike myself), some have already distanced themselves from the server content because of this.

the idea of the qsmp is a global server, but this shouldn't be based soly in their nationality, but also the languages spoken in the server. And recently all we've seen is english being spoken 24/7, and of course this comes from the ease of comunicstion and speed, but we have a PERFECTLY good translator for that.

what frustated me more recently in purgatory was that, despite brigging AMAZING dynamics between the players, it reduced completely the spoken languages to english again. Because of the mini-events and distance that the creators are from each other, making the tool of amazing and automatic translation useless since it doesnt translate from a distance. And don't get me wrong, even quackity himself said he noticed he was doing more lives in english because of the "nature of the event".

When the owner of the server says this you see the problem.

bagi is the pov I watch the most after my main (cellbit and morning crew) and, my god, how i LOVE this pov for being a brazillian that, for hanging out by herself, usually can speak portuguese. It's a relief. A breath of fresh air in the middle of english in weight [idk if this is a expression in english, but it means 'a lot'] from every direction

only for her to get an egg that doesn't speaks her language.

don't get me wrong, em is lovely and i'm VERY happy that niki will be able to speak german with her daughter. But at the same time, the language she does lives in is english. Just like all the other mothers.

Would it really be that hard to find an adm from a country that speaks portuguese? it doesn't even have to be brazillian. Portugal, Angola, Guiné-Bissau, Cabo Verde, Moçambique, even Macau.

I GUARANTEE you that there is a lot of people that speak portuguese that would join the QSMP team with a huge smile.

It's just dull to have a participant that came to represent the brazillian language and culture and speak portuguese 100% of the time in live because her daughter doesn't understand her language [I feel like this also goes for Ironmouse].

And I'm not saying necessarily for the creators, but for the people watching.

I started watching qsmp because of the brazillian streamers that I like, obviously, but also because I LOVE the server's idea, the cultural exchange and the linguistic trade.

The language is the main aspect of any culture and the linguistic erasure >CURRENTLY< in the qsmp makes me sad.

I was watching the old vods and it's weird to notice that — at least the brazillians— used to speak more portuguese when the translator was worse than now that it works perfectly.

It's just a bit disappointing to see a project that was made to break linguistic barriers end up keeping them through the sovereignty of the english language.

(after that, I have NO issues with the cultural aspect. The cultural exchange is made with mastery.)"

Ok, so, I've never watched any of the qsmp streams, but I read your rambling about it and read your one shots abt it, and uh do you have any advice on how to get into watching the streams? Like where do I start? How to catch up on missed lore? Stuff like that

well there are a lot of different POVs you can choose to catch up on and which one(s) you choose will definitely affect your understanding of what's going on. if you want to just catch up on the primary major story beats overall (federation lore, main egg lore) this channel on youtube has made 3 videos so far summarizing the lore as it goes on. I haven't watched these videos myself so I can't say how accurate they are or if they leave anything important out, but I've heard positive things!

now if you wanna catch up on more individual lore/character dynamics and all that then you're facing a bit more of a challenge. I believe quackity has most of his qsmp vods uploaded on his vod channel so you can definitely check those out for his story stuff. if you wanna understand my fics better wilbur has the smallest number of qsmp vods out of the cc's at least somewhat tied into the storyline so it shouldn't be too hard to catch up on his stuff. his vod from day 1 of the qsmp has one of the funniest moments from any wilbur stream ever (yes I am referring to that moment he was talking to max) but I don't think you need to watch a ton from any of the day 1 POV's after the first hour or so.

while phil is the pov I watch the most for qsmp, he's definitely less involved in the plot. but unlike what I keep seeing some people on twt and tumblr say, he DOES participate in the rp and does care about the lore. he just doesn't go out of his way to get super involved in it and likes making 4th wall breaking jokes. but yeah if you're looking for more lore based stuff, phil might not be a great pov to watch as your primary.

now bad is the english speaking cc most involved in the heavy federation lore stuff, so his vods are definitely good to check out if you're looking for an english speaking cc to watch. jaiden's also definitely tied into it and has her own very interesting plotline going on atm involving the federation, but she doesn't stream as often so there are a few more gaps with her compared to bad who's been daily streaming for months now.

now for the cc's who don't primarily speak english, it's definitely a bit more of a challenge to watch those POVs if you don't speak the cc's language, but when many cc's are in a group they'll usually switch to english since that's the most common language on the server. also there's the translator that most of them have up on their screen, but it's not super accurate and a lot of the time cc's forget to switch it between languages so I don't rely on it much. for lore stuff, cellbit is a great choice because he's been heavily involved in investigating the federation and solving puzzles and all that since he first got on the server. from the french side, baghera jumped into lore stuff pretty quickly too so I highly recommend her pov as well

again I don't know how detailed/what the summary videos do and don't include but if you see clips from certain streams on that summary video that look interesting, I definitely recommend going to the vod itself and watching at least a bit of it. the group dynamic between all the players on the island is so delightful to watch. so many great friendships have formed bc of this server and it's so much fun to watch them grow in real time.

more than anything though when you're trying to catch up, go through the tumblr tag! follow people who liveblog a lot! follow the updates accounts on twitter! I actually don't catch many streams, but I'm usually pretty up to date on the big plot stuff happening on the server at all times just from what I see on my dash. read posts and check out the tags to absorb info via dash osmosis. that's how I caught up on dsmp when I first got into it back in january 2021 lol

Entry number ??? A sign that I'm still watching qsmp tubbo :')))

RIP my sleep schedule, I woke up at 12 am to see British streamer in qsmp purgatory and had work at 8 am (damn you, timezone). This once VOD watcher had ascends to stressed and sleepy live watcher. And I blame Tubbo's streak thingy bc I got interested in that. And yes; I'm very biased in qsmp blue team. My pocoyo profile pic should tell you that. I may like many others like qPhilza, qJaiden, qFit, qBagi but I don't really like qsmp red team for their toxicity and stay on my qsmp blue team lane. (I'm barely awake enough to even send hateful stuff, and I'm not really someone who likes to argue with people (tap that block or mute button if you don't like to keep seeing them people!)

In that D1 Purgatory; they were divided into three groups. Red, Blue, and Green. If I'm correct the order of the team announcement was Blue first, then Red, and Green at last.

Red team spawned in a Tundra, if I'm correct, which is not bad, or not good either. They had problems with water since the beginning (and half of them are literally not online). And Green team spawned in a Bamboo forest, and had access to water, very much directly, making them the most profitable spawn of the three.

Now, blue team spawn was literally in Ice biome, which the place that supposed to be the utmost bad in Dante's inferno, and most of them can be categorised as such without doubt. Their team literally filled with people who hated eo before this purgatory arc, unlike other team, sounds like a cursed team requirements don't you think so?

First row of cubitos we seen on the blue team announcement literally said that. There was qTubbo with his whole scheme ready to fight & not to mention the distrust people had for him. qPierre, which from what I gather had a bit of operation with Cucurucho. qTina, which is a demon who disguise as a cat(?). qPac, freshly from the nether before the event started. qBBH which was literally kidnapped a fed worker.

The second row was qLuzu, which had connection with Arin & codes (?), sadly for qLenay, qNiki, and qRivers I haven't seen a stream of them, but both came from the ice prison. qPol was the one directed the ads for federation, and probably a traitor or so. I remember that people use to analyse the video or so. qMariana, though was literally chucked to lore by codeflippa, and qMissa is our sopping wet cat dad that clutch us up, and is apparently a grim reaper too, like qBBH.

The problem in this team is not only just spawn point, but also unlike the other two teams who look at eo and say "yep, in these two weeks I'm gonna be with this guy & I need to made friendship", their first thinking was just resources and individuality first. They were all the people who didn't trust too much. And insanely smart and tactical about it too. They were cautious, can fade to the background when needed, and bunch of geniuses who can be threatening when they want to be.

It all proved when they were asked to choose a leader, and they all first wanted themselves on it. They all got swayed with qTubbo being the leader though, because he's the Youngest (JK, I'm sure they think it was the best choice to have him leading them). Then the blue name problem; SoulFire team. I'm not sure who suggested it first, but maybe qLenay? Or qMissa suggested that, I need to check other vod first. (Update : It was qBadboyhalo with the soul vulture lore, cuties. Really,.)

qTubbo really made the team worked well, and in a sense of distributing leadership to other people and such. You can literally see it working together nicely, and I genuinely admire qTina for being the best co-leader. When qTubbo(?) ask her where everyone go in day 1 or 3(?) She knew where they are. She's a queen & singlehandedly revolutionise food in this purgatory. Ms. Teanakitten is one of the best of the best, ladies. Write that one down in the history.

And qBadboyhalo and qPierre! They immediately dropped down the vendetta, working together to win! What a turnaround this is. And they worked well together too! when qPac is back, its getting good and good too! Not to mention, the rest of the SoulFire team too! qPol, qMissa, qNiki, qLenay, qLuzu, qRivers. You're all amazing, and the admins knew that you're all be unbeatable.

I fear I'm writing too much but this is nowhere near my thoughts of how the gameplay work, but fuck it, I'm gonna make so many post and drink water to keep the sleepiness away woo!

oh shit oh fuck okay i'm gonna do my best, yeah? just keep in mind three things: i only watch charlie's pov, i got into qsmp the day they got the eggs (so like two weeks late) and it's currently 3am

now let's get into qsmp

but i'm actually gonna be explaining the past two weeks, from the day they got their eggs, since i never really caught up with Charlie's pre-egg vods

so, to set the scene, the smp is on an island - the Quasadilla Island and the players are not allowed to leave; there is a big wall running through like half of the island, a lot of people have houses in and on the wall

also, the server has a lot of cool mods! there are new bioms, mobs, activities (painting, photography, etc) and weapons (like guns and bombs)

the thing is, they broke the wall and woke up a dragon that was apparently sleeping on the island; and since the dragon left somebody needs to watch out after its eggs

most of the players are paired up - one english speaker and one spanish, and they get to pick their own eggs. due to luzu and wilbur's absence, bad and quackity are both single parents to their eggs

the ones we're gonna focus on are the flippos because i love them.

so you've got Slimecicle, ElMariana and their egg daughter JuanaFlippa - and from the very start they establish themselves as The Drama; they argue a lot and since they are very poor they can't really take care of Flippa, also Mariana is known for having a romance with Foolish (which is problematic since Slime and Mariana are now married)

for the life of me i can't remember why they did it but the two of them went to see Foolish and Vegetta's kid and after destroying its bedroom they are absoluely convinced that they killed it. they leave a sign suggesting that somebody drowned the kid and they ran away.

they take a picture of Flippa's bedroom in the same state as Leonard@'s as an alibi AND THEN then they make a deal with little jesus (rubius) to atone for their sins

they're making badboyhalo a farm and in exchange lil J will grant JuanaFlippa an additional life <this is important later

oh, and because neither Charlie nor Mariana showed up for a while, Flippa lost one life to neglect, leaving her on one life since all eggs have two

the next couple days it's mostly Charlie hanging out with Flippa but there's one thing you need to know - satan is real (also rubius) and he will give Juana a gun if charlie kills somebody else's egg in return; Slime tricks Philza into logging off by pretending that Phil's audio is glitching and during that time he breaks the bed in which Chayanne (Phil and Missasinfonia's kid) is sleeping - by doing that he establishes a rule that breaking a sleeping egg's bed means killing the egg < also important

on his quest of revenge Phil tries to kill Flippa the very same day but she kills him with the gun Satan gave her and Slime makes Phil promise not to hurt her

in the meantime Flippa becomes friends with Tilin - Quackity's kid. together the four of them (slime, q and eggs) build little J a house and decide to become family (: flippa hits the sickest water bucket on lil J's request and then tilin and flippa have a sleepover at charlie's

the next day Mariana spends time with Juana and after a whole day he tucks her to bed and accidentaly breaks it, killing her as per the rule that Charlie established; immediately after he goes to play crab game (or something like that)

next time he logs in, charlie tries to go on a rampage to kill everybody's eggs but he fails lmao, he cries himself to sleep while jaiden does a dramatic reading of blue by eiffel65

ok now i gotta be real - i did not catch this particular stream but what i know is, charlie was out with tilin, flippa and roier, he was fightning mobs and his sword had sweeping edge. he kills Tilin and then sad (since he came to love him as his own) he gives Flippa all his stuff except for a flower she gave him a long time ago, leaves Flippa under Roier's care and sets out to find a way to bring back Tilin

then they have the trial! it's Mariana & Roier against Charlie & Jaiden & Quackity & Foolish & Fit & Bad; i could talk about the court case itself for an hour but the gist is, jaiden slayed absolute penis, slimeriana made out, the cheating allegations (of foolish and Mariana) were presented and Philza's testimony of Charlie killing his kid was deemed irrelevant to the case

the judge (Maximus) decides that JuanaFlippa will be revived since her death was a mistake but both parents must spend 10 minutes in jail and then attend couples therapy

Foolish tries to assassinate the two of them while in jail but fails and is imprisoned himself; Mariana and Slime break out of jail so they don't miss Flippa's revival

Juana is back! they take her home, tuck her to bed and then roleplay having sex to coldplay outside

The next day Mariana and Roier take their eggs out to a dungeon (?) and the same thing happens to Flippa as it did to Tilin. she dies only two days after being revived

in today's stream Charlie is in exile and he decides to build a shrine for little J to convince him to switch Juana's backup life (from the farm deal!) to Tilin - he doesn't know that Flippa is dead yet; he's first told by the creepy white island person? (i'm not really sure who they are since it's pre-egg lore but i know they have something to do with census bureau) while gathering supplies but he doesn't believe them and continues work on the shrine; he summons lil J and reminds him of the deal, lil J confirms that Flippa is dead again

Slime decides to switch and ask for Flippa back instead of Tilin; lil J takes him to see the farm since he never saw it and decides to talk with God. he comes back after a while and says that God will take Juana's case to the council of gods and it might take a couple of days, and then he goes back to tormenting other members

before ending stream, Slime says that he didn't expect that to work and that if he does get Flippa back he's gonna go back into exile so nobody sees her

and this is pretty much it! i'm not sure if this is what you had in mind when you asked anon but it is now 4am and i was meant to work on a fic in this time
