Anyone else think that season 2 of usm was the best season? Like I love all the others seasons too (it’s a love hate relationship with s4) but s2 just has all my favorite episodes. It’s got the first appearance of the sinister six in the show, it’s got carnage, the house arrest episode, the man-wolf episode, the DEADPOOL EPISODE, the venom bomb episode, the guardians of the galaxy episode, the game over episode, and VAMPIRE ARC, and that season finale was by far one of the best

I'm gonna be honest, while I did ship Azi and Crowley in a fanon way I didn't actually want them to become a romantic couple, I was clinging onto that aroace platonic relationship with my nails and teeth for the entirety of season 2, but the drama loving bitch in me watched the entire finale with my mouth hanging wide open even after the credits rolled.

Me and my friend were both screaming "No no no no no!!!" when Ineffable bureaucracy was becoming canon, cause neither of us liked that ship (and we thought it was kinda too fast and out of nowhere), and then everything that happened after - we were just holding onto everything we could, barely breathing, praying that it won't actually happen and then THAT happened and we went CRAZY, cause neither of us actually EXPECTED that and then that followed and we were just flabbergasted completely but also we LOVED that it went BAD because we're EVIL

And now I feel like someone Caesar'd me in my own house

sorry for the delayed response on this anon!! but i’m definitely cool with any scenario tbh—just the fact they’re getting married still has me !!! so whether they plan a big ceremony and go through with it; plan a big ceremony and something happens and they come up with a small-but- sentimental ceremony with their closest people around; decide on the spot to get married/plan to elope and have a party afterward, i’m happy with whatever gives us the best story and gives them the best story. being here through every between-season hiatus has proven that ronen does hype up the emotional stuff, but we all know they’re going to be weeping through their vows whether they’re alone at a courthouse or at a fancy venue, so i guess at this point we’ll have to see?? but i’m game for whatever happens!!

i’m very overwhelmed by all the tv i’m trying to keep up with, i watched the last two episodes of s3 of apple tv+’s trying last night and felt like i’d completed a freaking marathon simply because it gave me one less show i was in the middle of watching

i think our tv culture is too much right now, friends!!!!!!! and i say that as someone who loves tv at the core of my soul! i can’t keep up with this!!!!!

The more I think about season 2, the more grateful I am.

In a lot of ways, OFMD's writers, cast, and crew were given an almost impossible task. S1 was brilliant and took everyone by surprise by how successful it became. I am still shocked every time I rewatch by how smart and efficient the writing is, how intelligent the social commentary. S1 is a masterclass in good television.

And for s2, expectations were incredibly high. OFMD found massive word-of-mouth success in a way I've never seen with any other show, and they suddenly had a big, incredibly passionate audience - the renewal was because of massive fan support, and that must have translated to an incredible amount of pressure in the writer's room. Plus, as if that wasn't enough on its own, they're having to deal with budget cuts and Max slashing them down to only 8 episodes to tell a 10-episode story. This is an incredibly daunting task.

And yeah, I've been critical. OFMD is my favorite show, no contest, and it's easy to be critical of the things we love. We can all see that the pacing was off this season, especially in those last two episodes. Some arcs felt rushed; some side characters didn't get enough screen time to set up what they're doing this season. Jim and Olu especially suffer for that. It's inexcusable that this show's budget was slashed the way it was and I'm sad for what we could have had.

But, on the whole? Holy shit, this season was incredibly successful! Despite an incredible amount of fan pressure, the writers told the story they wanted to tell. They never lost sight of Ed and Stede's story, and were smart about allocating screen time so our leads' arcs never suffered too much for it. There's so much creative problem solving - when they realized they'd need to be smart about which side characters to keep on screen, they turned Buttons into a bird in a way that underscored season themes of transformation and change. 10/10, no notes. They even remembered their audience and left us on a satisfying note for all our characters - we get to end with Ed and Stede, happy and together, starting their new life.

They had an impossible task and they did a fucking commendable job. Character beats and humor are balanced amazingly well. Ed and Stede feel so much more fleshed out this season. Just like in s1, OFMD will never be a show where you can catch everything with one watch - there's so many little jokes, hidden gags, small details to discover with every rewatch. And every single actor is giving it their all in every scene! You can tell how much this show was a labor of love for everyone involved.

I'm proper fucking impressed. Here's hoping they get a renewal and a better budget for season 3!

OKAY SO. THE CONVERSATION NINA AND MAGGIE HAVE WITH CROWLEY RIGHT AT THE END OF EPISODE 6. I HAVE THOUGHTS.

(idk if someone has already said this but i was thinking about it so i’m gonna say it)

so. we’ve established that nina and aziraphale are narrative parallels for one another, as are maggie and crowley (i.e., “you were crying, and nina needed rescuing” “rescuing me makes him [crowley] so happy”) and so, when nina is talking about her own failed relationship and subsequent relationship with maggie, we can infer that this is also neil cleverly telling us about aziraphale and crowley’s relationship.

nina says, “my relationship just ended, i’m not ready to be in another one. i’d be a rebound mess, i can’t start seeing maggie.” relating this to aziraphale—in the grand scheme of things, aziraphale’s “relationship” with heaven has really just ended (he was a loyal servant of heaven for 6000 years, and he’s only been on his own (with crowley of course) for a few years, tops). he isn’t ready to be in another relationship yet, even if aziraphale knows deep down he wants to be with crowley, he just isn’t at a point yet where he is ready to do so.

nina continues, “when i’m ready, i hope, she’ll [maggie] be there, but there isn’t any guarantee” and maggie says, “there is.”

i think that those two lines are neil’s way of letting us, the audience, know that crowley will wait for aziraphale. he’ll be there when aziraphale realizes he wants to be with crowley, without heaven getting in the way. he’ll be there waiting for aziraphale because he’s already waited 6000 years, he can wait a little longer for his angel.

idk if this made any sense whatsoever but it was just some thoughts i had while rewatching s2. :)

IF YOU HATE HELLUVA BOSS, HAZBIN HOTEL, AND/OR STOLITZ, DO. NOT. INTERACT. (WITH THIS POST OR MY PAGE)

Okay, I am currently rewatching Helluva Boss, and I just finished S1 Ep7: OZZIE'S, and... How do some people genuinely believe Stolitz is one-sided?

From what I've seen, Blitzø absolutely returns Stolas' feelings, even if he refuses to acknowledge/accept that he does. A lot of people, from what I've seen, have been using Blitzø' words to Stolas in OZZIE'S and his words about Stolas to Fizzarolli in OOPS as arguments for why Blitzø "clearly" doesn't love Stolas back, but my question is, do some of y'all not have basic media literacy?

Sorry if that’s rude, but seriously. There are plenty of clues to how Blitzø is actually feeling during and after these scenes.

1. Blitzø was literally holding back TEARS as he said that in the van scene.

2. He says that Stolas has made it very clear that all it is is Stolas wanting to be fucked. That wording is very distinct and, honestly, says that Blitzø does NOT want it to just be a Fuck Buddies things.

2.5. May I remind everyone that Stolas literally calls Blitzø his "Impish little plaything" in Truth Seekers? And that that likely just confirmed the insecurities we know he was already feeling? (We know he was feeling insecure about his and Stolas' relationship already because of how he reacted in S1 Ep5 to Striker goading him)

3. Literally ALL of what happens after the van scene. Including all of Episode 8. He goes home and cries himself to sleep, and then goes and self-destructs at a party. Bee said it herself that he wasn't drinking to have fun.

4. In S2 Ep6: OOPS, His face when he said it was nothing more than Stolas being horny gives away how hurt he actually is. He is desperately trying to convince Fizz and remind himself that Stolas doesn't want anything more.

Honorary mention that I'm not sure is really a fifth point is him calling Fizz and Ozzie hypocrites.

Moving on from those scenes and onto Blitzø's insecurities about love and his self-worth issues. Blitzø does not believe he deserves love. He does not believe anyone does or can love him. We can see this in how he acts with the people in his life. He pushes them away. He is obsessed with M&M's relationship because they're the only model of a healthy relationship he's ever had, and he wants that with someone. We also can tell because of how he reacts to what Fizz and Verosika say in OZZIE'S.

Blitzø hates himself. He crosses out his face in the pictures hung up in his apartment. He blames himself for an accident that caused his mother's death, his best friend to lose his limbs, and his sister to hate him.

No one was truly there for him after the accident. Fizz may have been crippled, but he had a support system. Blitzø did not, and no one was there to tell him it wasn't his fault.

Not to mention the fact that up until the accident, he was CONSTANTLY being put down and told Fizzarolli was better than him. Even his own father cared more for Fizz than him. Honestly, I'm surprised there isn't any actual animosity towards Fizz on Blitzø's part.

Speaking of the fire and Fizz, Blitzø was planning to confess romantic feelings to Fizz that night before the accident (We know this because of the letter and flower he was holding before the fire started). That likely made it difficult for him to confess his love to someone because if you think his brain wouldn't connect love confessions to the greatest trauma of his life, you're dead wrong.

Brains make weird ass connections when it comes to trauma/traumatic events.

In conclusion, Blitzø loves Stolas, Stolas loves Blitzø, and they both need to heal and get their shit together. Stolitz forever.
