holy shit this year marks 10 years of this blog and moz!! i can't remember the exact date i started posting here - my archive says i have one post from november 2013 but let's disregard that - but i do remember it was around late 2014/early 2015 :)

2014 → baby's first rpg!! i started playing fnv on my cousin's jailbroken xbox late 2013 and finished mid 2014 and i loved every minute of it. i remember waking up at 8am and playing almost nonstop until 2am the next day haha!

i didn't play moz on my first playthrough - but i did start creating a character that would eventually become her: a shorthaired ex-boxer who punched her way through obstacles when diplomacy failed. i remember she spent a lot of time with boone. i liked him then, because he saved my ass more times than i can count. but i digress. this is draft 1 moz essentially

2015 → this is the year that i was doing my thesis so i could graduate but i was so depressed and stressed about it that i distracted myself by replaying fnv on pc, where i played through the dlcs for the first time. i fell in love with the dlcs' oversarching story; particularly ulysses, who i became obssessed with, especially since i couldn't find any content of him at the time. in the game, i played as moz; i had most of her personality and choices down, but her backstory was still up in the air.

fun fact: this was an existing sideblog that i remade to be a fallout blog so i could look for ulysses content, and when i couldn't find any, i made some myself, featuring moz as my main courier six. originally, i didn't ship them, but eventually i ended the year as a courier/ulysses otp shipper.

this was the year i started drawing digitally - my uncle let me borrow a drawing tablet and i used an old copy of photoshop i pirated hehe

2016 → i graduated this year!! and promptly fell deeper into my depression. this was the year that it got so bad that i had to be medicated. through it all, this blog and moz and ulysses and my fandom friends were with me. and for that i am truly grateful :) this was the year i figured out how to lock transparent pixels so that i could color my lineart lol

2017 → i started hammering out moz's backstory this year i think. there's a lot of sketches of her and her family in my files. i experimented with shading and backgrounds here but that experimentation was pretty short-lived

2018 → i started using references seriously!!!! i did a lot of oc on oc kissing this year, featuring mostly moz and many friend ocs haha

2019 → didn't draw much this year. actually this year was a blur and i can't remember much from it except from it being the year of my terrible no good bad copywriting jobs... anyway i did manage to continue my courier/ulysses brainrot and make this piece, which i'm still proud of

2020 → pandemic time. i spent a lot of time asleep at home and i think this was also the year i started doing commissions?? shoutout to anyone who has ever commissioned me - thank you so much, i truly appreciate it!!

2021 → i switched from my old-ass pirated photoshop to clip studio paint and never looked back. also i did a bunch of commissions for my grandmother's surgery, which failed, and i distracted myself from the sadness by drawing my ocs over and over and playing disco elysium

2022 → by this year, i've got moz down pat and have started vaguely developing other ocs instead. but she's still always at the back of my mind

2023 → i bought new brushes from true grit texture supply and immediately found new favorites that i started using for everything. i tentatively started incorporating background elements in some pieces!

2024 → while it's still too early to say where this year will lead me art-wise, i will say that i started experimenting in realistic paint studio (which i bought in 2021, the same time as clip studio paint) a few days ago and i'm liking the results so far. we'll see!

all in all, these last 10 years have been quite a ride, but i'm glad i stuck around and i'm glad you guys stuck around too!! much much love 💖💖💖

Tao Isonogami (voiced by Jeanine Tirado in English, Hayami Saori in Japanese)

Tao is a classmate of the protagonist and a member of the high school lacrosse club. Friendly and caring.

She has possessed a strong spiritual sense since when she was young and has been assisting Bethel Japan as their “saint.” She supports the protagonist once he joins Bethel.

In combat, Bethel Japan as their “saint”, she specializes in healing and support skills.

Yuzuru Atsuta (voiced by Mark Whitten in English, Kaito Ishikawa in Japanese)

“Innocent people get born into pain they can’t escape and don’t deserve. What do you call that but proof that our world’s fundamentally broken?”

Yuzuru is a friend of the protagonist.

Holding a strong sense of justice, he joins Bethel as a temporary unit to fight demons and protect his sister Miyazu.

He gains more power after visiting Da’at with the protagonist, reaffirming his commitment to fight for peace in Tokyo.

In battles, he wields the Demon Summoning Program to summon his loyal demon partner Hayataro as his demon partner.

Ichiro Dazai (voiced by Stuart Allan in English, Kishou Taniyama in Japanese)

“That angel taught me something truly important: you can’t rely on others to carry out your justice.”

Ichiro is a classmate of the protagonist. He has a cheerful personality but can often be rather tactless.

His grades are poor and often seen as “useless” at school.

As he livestreams himself as a hobby, he is dragged to Da’at after a tunnel collapse incident. Bethel recruits him to fight demons, to which he agrees as he believes that it’s for a noble cause. In battles, he uses unique demons such as Aitvaras and Mokoi as his demon partners.

Miyazu Atsuta (voiced by Ashlyn Madden in English, Ryou Hirohashi in Japanese)

“I refuse to hurt Tao anymore!”

Yuzuru’s younger sister and only relative. Shy and physically weak, she is a frequent visitor to the school nurse’s office.

She respects her brother and is worried about his involvement in Bethel.

Naahmah (voiced by Kari Wahlgren in English, Shizuka Ito in Japanese)

“Now wail and lament! Your anguish shall become the Magatsuhi that I seek!”

One of the four female demons of the Qadistu, also known as the “Mother of Demons”. She is the most sensual and seductive of the four Qadistu, and her beauty is said to charm not only humans, but even Angels and Demons.

Eisheth Zenunim (voiced by Allegra Clark in English, Kimiko Saitou in Japanese)

“Now, tell me… what part of yourselves do you hate the most?”

One of the demons of the Qadistu, who seduces humans and leads them to their demise. In Jewish mythology, she is said to eat the souls of the fallen. Under the guise of salvation, she attacks humans and steals their souls.

Agrat bat Mahlat (voiced by Cherami Leigh in English, Reina Ueda in Japanese)

“So I shall dispense a punishment. May your existence be lost to darkness.”

A member of the Qadistu, she is also the “Queen of Demons.” Also known as “the demon who dances on the roof” and is said to wander through the air with her chariot and her train of messengers of destruction.

Glasya-Labolas

One of the 72 demons of King Solomon’s “Ars Goetia.” His form is that of a dog with griffin-wings. Bloodshed and murder, and can predict the future and make people invisible.

■ Gameplay

Press Turn Battle

The battles in this title features a command-based Press Turn Battle.

The Press Turn System rewards the player for exploiting the weaknesses of enemies. If you successfully hit an enemy with the skill type they are weak to, your party will gain an extra turn. The simple, yet tactically challenging battle system is still in place.

This title also offers various new skills and elements that expand the strategic nature of battles.

Striking an enemy’s weak point increases the number of Press Turn icons in the upper right corner of the screen, allowing additional actions! If you keep targeting the weak points well, you can take up to 8 actions, for an unscathed victory.

A number of exclusive skills available only to certain demons have also been added!

■ Systems

Magatsuhi Skill

As the battle progresses, your actions will fill the Magatsuhi gauge. Once the Magatsuhi gauge is capped, you can use the special technique Magatsuhi skill.

Magatsuhi Skills have a variety of effects, including damaging enemies and support and healing skills. This title features more than 50 Magatsuhi skills, including more than 20 newly added to the game, such as ones only usable with certain demons.

Each skill has powerful abilities, so keep an eye out for opportunities to activate them in battle.

In addition to the Magatsuhi skills previously introduced in Shin Megami Tensei V, there are now skills that can be activated when there is a strong mythological relationship between two demons or when there are demons with the same alignment in the party!

Unique Skills

In this title, every demon has their own special passive skill, called Unique Skills.

Unique Skills may include those that increase the power of attack skills, provide powerful effects when a particular demon is present, or ones that are useful for demon conversation.

The combination of the demons allows the player to experience more tactical battles.

—Blessed Melody When active, your team’s power is enhanced when all allies exploit the target’s weakness with Light Skills.

—Four Heavenly Kings When summoned with a demon who has the Unique Skill “Four Heavenly Kings” as active, it will enhance its own abilities.

—Demonic Mediator When active and if a demon negotiation goes sour, your partner demon will intervene to mediate the conversation.

Demon Conversation

When attacked by a demon, you may be able to talk with them and potentially recruit them as an ally.

Each demon has a different personality and preference. In this title, more variations in the conversation are added, deepening the interaction.

Demons vary in temper and personality. If you can negotiate with them skillfully, they will become a supportive companion.

Certain negotiations may be interrupted by an ally demon in your party, triggering a unique interaction. Enjoy the special conversation between the related demons! You can enjoy conversations related to the relationship between the demons.

Sometimes, a demon may surprise you with a pop quiz! Show off your knowledge to impress them!

Guest Characters

As the story progresses, human guest characters may join the party and participate in battles. They can fight and use items in the same manner as demon allies. Use your companions and your demons to your advantage in battle.

Consecutive Encounters

After defeating an enemy demon, a new demon may appear and continue the battle. Although it will be a series of battles, winning may generate bonuses in Macca, EXP, and items earned.

The more demons that discover the protagonist, the more likely it is that a serial encounter will occur. It is also a good idea to aim for a large bonus by engaging in combat with enemies that are densely packed together.

Here's a drawing for this year's Christmas. We start off where the Rabbits, the Speedsters and friends got some presents from the Ramcats.

We start off with the Speedsters side.

Murukir and Popikir got some Ballet Slippers from Tory for both of them to dance together. Alongside the Speedster family.

Spot, Riya and Vanilla got plushies of Shadow, Tory and Lisa from them. I bet they'll both love to snuggle their plushies together while in bed. Cude also got a Plushie of Caleb and a Gift Card to Wingstop from Caleb and Mayu got herself a Haro Phone so that Cude and Mayu can keep in contact alongside getting connected to their Haros. Miya and Aace got armor and weapons from Porsche and Jenny. Miya got a Yoyo Ball and a stun Taser for her to protect herself with her electric moves, while Aace, has the ability to wrestle by using boxing gloves and knee caps for him to be the greatest brawler in the family.

For the Rabbits, Maxwell got an Xbox Series X from Shadow and for Maxwell to play. May got herself a Gaming Laptop from Caleb so she can play some games on her PC alongside chatting with her friends including Riya, Tory, Lisa, Shadow, Yinna, Vanilla and the kids. Sam got a Switch game from Tory and it's Super Mario RPG, looks like Sam will enjoy playing it and maybe he can invite Heffy and Zack over to play. And for Emme and Jo they got spare clothes from Lisa like her normal casual clothes that can change into different colors depending on their emotions, and got some pajamas and autumn and Winter Clothes and a device of how they can both act like Lisa together. And for Maxwell and Spot's parents, they each got some Autumn and Winter clothes from Paul and Debby and some random stuff for them. Bonn got a Digital DVD copy of Gran Turismo the Movie, Rita and Windy got iPads so they can chat and play together along with Debby. And Scottie got himself a book where he can write down his ideas on what kind of stories he likes to write about, especially when can send some to his work. And maybe Maxwell and Scottie can both write a story together like Father and son.

(Disclaimer I haven't played the dancing game because it's not on Xbox or PC and I am not a playstation guy, you could not pay me to use that controller, anyways I know squat about the dancing games outside of The Specialist)

I find it interesting to really dig into why I think the characters of Persona 5 can be handled better in Strikers and in some scenes (LOOKING AT YOU SEXIST BEACH SCENE), the anime.

One such thing I find myself comparing a whole bunch is Ann in the post Kaneshiros palace Persona 5, versus pretty much all of Strikers.

My biggest problem with Ann's thief costume is that despite it being her will of rebellion, the writers do everything they can to make sure you know it wasn't a character thing, it was a lewd the 16 year old thing.

Ann is the most vocally negative about her costume all throughout Persona 5, even in the mementos scenes added in royal, she adamantly declares her dislike of her costume. It's really sad and if Makoto wasn't there to repeat her dialog louder and more often, I feel like the comments would be annoying even.

Something I really like about Strikers though, Ann is joyous to see her costume again, she says its nice to be back in it and even does a small spin, she never once complains about her costume.

In fact, while Ann will protest wearing her dancing outfit in Royal, saying it's too revealing, she wears arguably less in Strikers and yet I don't look at her Strikers outfit and think "that's fan service" (granted the "battle" bikini might have desensitized me), I think Ann chose that outfit because she thought it was cute, which it is.

The camera also finds itself awkwardly panning over Ann a whole lot less in Strikers, the beach stuff is about as bad as it gets if memory serves but I'd say it's pretty equal for the group all around, plenty of shots of the other three girls and the guys spent plenty of time in the shots technically shirtless.

I pray she's written closer to how she is in Strikers in Tactica, but knowing Atlus they'll find a way to lewd the cute chibi art.

Girls and their rides

So back when 2.1 dropped, I decided to get all the new vehicles and clothes that have been added in the game since Phantom Liberty. While grinding vehicle contracts and races, I was wondering what rides would fit my OCs the best. Now that I managed to get everything, here are the answers!

Crystal - ARCH Nazaré "Racer"

Crystal, my main girl and my OC of choice for beating both Cyberpunk 2077 and its DLC, ironically caused me the most trouble! Up until now, she canonically used a red Shion Mizutani Targa that I managed to find in the wild almost a year ago. The issue was that in case I wanted to use it, I'd have to find it again or spawn it on my PC. Since I mostly play Cyberpunk on my Xbox, that wasn't an ideal scenario.

For a brief moment I was considering giving her a brand new Herrera Riptide "Terrier" - a car I could actually spawn on demand. But seems too impractical for her. She loves cars but I don't see her driving a hypercar. She wants something cool, powerful, but not that high-maintenance.

Then I saw this cool new bike, fell in love with its looks and colors, and remembered that I wrote my dislike for bikes in this game in Crystal's lore! Instead of rewriting it I decided that Elegy, her gf who rides a Kusanagi, made her get used to them, start enjoying their looks, and taught her to ride them - which fits the 2.1 bike handling improvements perfectly!

EV - Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet (930)

Now, I was thinking about giving EV either one of new muscle cars or Mizutani Hozuki "Hoseki". You might actually see some pics of her with these cars in the future (with Hoseki being her first car for example), but eventually I settled on giving her a 911. It fits her looks and personality, and she's my canon V, so a Samurai-themed car is a good choice.

Originally she was supposed to be driving a 911 you get in Chippin' In, but my s/o managed to convince me to get a cabrio! I like its color scheme more than the original one!

Thalia - Villefort Deleon "Vindicator"

Sully was by far the easiest! While at first I had no idea what would really fit her, after I bought that Vindicator and examined it thoroughly, it was the only choice for her. It looks vintage, maybe a bit classy, but with a sport touch.

There's a lore reason for how she got it too! I didn't really have time or strength to explain how she survived her alleged death and ended up arriving in NC yet. Other than reuniting with Crystal, she needs her and Elegy to help her with a special task. The person that drove her near NC, left her that car as a gift and something to aid her in her journey. She might or might not have modified it for that custom look, but I didn't decide on that yet.

Star Trek: Resurgence is a story-based “choose your own adventure” type game from Dramatic Labs, a developer made out of some ex-Telltale staff, who have been doing this kind of game for a while.

While a few known characters do show up, this game is focused on a unique cast of characters on the science ship, the USS Resolute. You play as two members of the crew: Jara Rydek, the ships new first officer, and Carter Diaz, a lower decks engineering crewman. They’re both very likable, and the dialogue options let you have some sway over their personalities – for example, Jara can choose to fully trust her captain, or can fight to do what she thinks is right.

The rest of the crew range from likable to immediate dislike but grows on you (or you end up feeling sorry for them). Most of them are well written (the only exception is the the tactical officer, who goes psycho later on), with their characters flaws serving the story and your choices in some manner. the ship suffered a disaster before Jara was brought back on board, so you have to deal with the comradery that came out of that experience.

Due to an intense ion storm, the Resolute was picked to transport an Ambassador to the Hotari system, where previously peaceful races, the brutish Hotari and the militaristic Alydians, both species with great designs that look like something that could still be achieved in live action. The Alydians have provided technology to the Hotari, while also using them as a labour face to mine the dilithium rich moon of Hotari Prime. However, this is interrupted by the emergence of an ancient and powerful civilization. I’ll leave it there for details of the story, but it was one that I loved the entire way through the game, with lots of stunning locations that you get to visit.

As for the gameplay, it changes a lot throughout the course of the game to meet the scene’s requirements. Most of it is spent on foot, walking around then pressing dialogue options and quick time events when prompted. Sometimes you’ll have to use your tricorder to scan, swapping between different modes to further analyse components, or a phaser, which is used for non-combat reasons during the walking sections.

There are some shooting sections, but in those you’re behind cover (and can occasionally swap cover), popping out to take shots. Other action sequences include piloting a shuttle and stealth sections. Some parts I absolutely loved was interacting with consoles, including a brilliant segment where you get to use the transporter, having to counter interference. It’s a really great depiction of what a transporter chief actually does during difficult transports.

While the gameplay itself is simple, it all helps the game feel immersive and works really well with the world. I’ve always disliked Telltale’s story games due to a “stiffness” about them that Resurgence manages to avoid. It’s a joy to experience the Star Trek Universe in this way and there are some meaningful references to a few episodes – even using a very disliked episode of The Next Generation in a great way.

I absolutely loved my first playthrough of Resurgence. The characters and story are extremely enjoyable, with lots of great different moments. The characters definitely make the game and I think it helps that this isn’t the “best” ship in the fleet – it gives a wonderful insight into Starfleet. You’ll also be given insight into how each character reacts to your choices, showing approval, disapproval or indifference, and I do like that it mentions that the character is a bit confused if you do flip-flop.

I did play again immediately after and the flaws of the game do show up – although it’s more the flaws of the genre. As the main story beats have to be consistent, some of the choices don’t matter. Plenty of them make smaller changes, including which characters you interact with, some character deaths or injuries and how some of them treat the main two. If you did your second playthrough after a break, it would be a better experience. Although I do think that the game should be better at punishing you – some of the actions you take can be pretty bad, but the consequences are very mild.

Resurgence is a brilliant game that captures Star Trek extremely well. It has engaging story and characters, and the gameplay, while simple, helps to compliment it all. It’s a wonderful way to experience a slice of the Star Trek universe.

Headcanon is basically that she's a gender-swapped version of your Standard Bulky Stoic Fantasy Protagonist: lived in a cottage with her family until they all got fridged by some big evil, then became a sword for hire. She's got the silly bird tattoo on her face: I'm pretending it's for her sad dead family.

So far, "alignment" is Chaotic Stupid. I keep opening things I probably shouldn't, stepping on levers. I made accidental friends with a skellington and got inspiration for double-crossing tieflings in front of Astarion because I just wanted to see if I could pass a persuasion check. Whoops... My wisdom stat is not high, whether in game or in life. She is me and I am she. One thing she can do is hit things really, really hard. I like that.

Hopefully the cat man does too

so far, she and Astarion have bonded over the best ways to kill each other, which is cute.

I didn't get very far because I had to fight Steam with my bare hands just to get screenshots to cooperate, and I STILL can't get the in-game overlay or steam inputs to work with my controller (yes, I'm using a controller, I tried m&k but the click-to-move was not for me)

Anyway, taking screenshots turned into all kinds of pain, but I finally sort of figured out a workaround??? if anyone has tips for getting a screenshot hotkey mapped onto an xbox controller on Steam/PC, please advise because i am going completely insane.

it has also taken me an embarrassingly long time to figure out how to Not Die; been a minute since I played any kind of game that requires... thinking? i chose a fighter so I wouldn't have to learn magic systems and strategy. Critically forgetting that I, the player, have to control all the other party members, and some of them are wizards and clerics and little boys with no hit points

hanzo & genji do like bbq actually. genji prefers honey bbq the most though; contrary to hanzo's favored type. it's not like they constantly argue or anything but it's up to you if they reach an agreement. kiriko's a ranch type of girl fr. for chips? kiriko's sour cream n onion (not self projection).

"oh hey guys so uh haha i got some chips for us!" kiriko pipes up, accidentally walking into a provoking conversation the shimada brothers were discussing (honey bbq vs standard??). they both turn around and look at her; the girl holding an ever-so familiar green bag—sour cream and onion flavoured chips.

hanzo drinks coke and genji has sam's cola as his fave (they're literally like the same i think). kiriko prefers pepsico products because they're sweeter to her (pepsi, dr. pepper, mtn dew). also genji would like lemon lime stuff maybe possibly indefinitely.

also hc that he probably was a soda junkie or something in his youth. over time though he kinda savors it like a "fine wine"; where he'd prefer to not have it by himself. rather, he'd drink it to complement a certain food he's having. this one actually makes sense somehow.

hanzo's a playstation person, genji's xbox, and kiriko's nintendo. basically colour coded fr. apparently also: hanzo's pc, genji's console, and kiriko's mobile. though, my friend INSISTS that genji's a mobile player (he plays mobile fortnite and probs got that samsung galaxy skin).

hanzo plays fortnite also to "practice his aim". genji (un)ironically gets all of the anime collab skins and somehow is goated with pickaxing the poor players early on. kiriko is their supplies manager and carries all of their meds and shields because the brothers are busy collecting all of the cool broken guns.

i'm unsure who'd be super good at building. i feel like they'd purposefully play on no build because "only the most talented players don't rely on building" or something dumb as kiriko instinctively pressed the buttons to build stairs as they get third-partied.

btw kiriko loves driving cars esp the fast sports ones and makes one of them sit on top of oit (since only two players max can get on it). she interrupts battles that other plays are in and has genji and hanzo pick off the surviving ones like little scavengers.

they're so good and can actually get into comp stuff, but they'd rather not since they're "lighthearted" (hanzo's upset he's getting bot lobbies and genji's getting reported for "hacking" whilst kiriko's the string holding the whole team together).

if they played splatoon obvs you can tell hanzo's stringer, genji's splatana and maybe kiriko's something supportive like n-zap whilst still having great frontline potential.

i know a lottt more about 2 than 3 actually. i'd say maybe genji would like things with echolocator even if that's more of a widow thing. i thought of reg. squiffer first but that's my main but i think mainly it's how genji can rush in and w aggressive front/mid-line squiffers you just see them go in and out of the ink, trying to kill you w either trickshots or something dumb (it's ok ily guys). also genji's ranged too as well.

maybe also he might play roller because 1: technically melee (his sword) + in reference to his shurikens, the vertical and horizontal spray of the roller can be in reference to his. or maybe he's ANNOYING and plays carbon roller (deco) with ninja squid. ninja squid.

hanzo plays pure mpu bamboozler and then shits on other players for having pure gear because "it's way more affective to have a mixed, sorted array subs instead of trying to make it all the same"/j

tbh the whole "genji, hanzo and kiriko" stuff is just literally splatoon 3 splatfests honestly. hanzo's vanilla ice cream, genji's chocolate, and kiriko's strawberry. i don't know how to explain it.

My mom got the new Xbox for Christmas bc she wanted to play Starfield, and I was excited when I realized I could play Sims 4 again. We have been unable to ever since they transferred to the EA app, as the app caused extreme lag, overheating, and other problems for our computer (uninstalling it fixed these problems). Again, I was excited, and got the base game and romantic garden stuff as they were both free, but more recently I’ve been feeling very disappointed that I don’t have access to the packs I had on pc. (I looked it up, and there is no way to transfer.)

We had a lot of packs: Get to Work, Seasons, Pets, Get Together, Get Famous, Island Living, University, Cottage Living, Vampires, Dine Out, Parenting, and a few Stuff Packs too. You can do the math, but in total I’m sure it cost us over $100, plus the cost of the base game which we bought before it was free.

In short, we spent a lot of money on this product which we were suddenly unable to play due to a now necessary app fucking up our computer. And now that I have a way to play the game without fucking up my computer, I still can’t use the dlcs I spent so much money on for, from what I can tell, no reason. My instinct is to download some of the ones I really feel I need (Cottage Living), and potentially some of the new ones I’m interested in (For Rent), but I really don’t want to give them money for screwing me over.

Btw, this is actually what ‘Capitalism breeds innovation’ means. This is the innovation. It’s an innovative way to get me to pay for the product twice. All you have to do is NOT make it so I can keep it. It’s pretty effective, too. Again, it’s almost working even though I know I’m getting screwed, bc I like the Sims 4, and I like my packs. But no, fuck this. I almost feel like I could sue them for this if I really tried, and if I felt like it was worth the money and time it took to do that.

They literally made my product unusable, and now it’s impossible to get it back, even though I feel like it really shouldn’t be, since it has my data! It has my sims! But not the stuff I actually paid for!!

Yeah, fuck EA and their money-grubbing tactics. This whole thing is a scam.
